Shanghai lockdown: Residents demand release, and some get it

"On a hot Sunday Night residence of an upscale Shanghai compound took to the streets to decry lockdown restrictions imposed by their community and then won the go ahead to leave The triumphant story quickly spread on chat groups across the Chinese city sparking one question in the minds of those who remain under lockdown shouldn't we do the same By the end of the week other groups of residents had confronted management in their complexes and some had won at least a partial release While it's unclear how widespread they are the incidents reflect the frustration that's built up after more than 7 weeks of lockdown even as the number of new daily coronavirus cases has fallen to a few hundred in a city of 25 million I'm Charles De

12 of Biden's 13 Proposed WHO Amendments Have Failed

"But 12 out of 13 of the proposed amendments at the world health assembly have failed. The Biden administration was going to Geneva Switzerland, and they proposed 13 amendments. Many of whom would have allowed digital passports, they would have allowed all of these, you know, the new kind of pandemic treaty regime and it failed 12 out of 13 of the most extreme and radical measures because of such dramatic and overwhelming backlash. So the WHO has now withdrawn 12 of Biden's sovereignty amendments amid fierce opposition. I'm reading from dot com. Amid charges of seeding U.S. sovereignty in the World Health Organization, 12 of the 13 amendments submitted by the Biden administration for a vote in the world health assembly this week in Geneva, have been removed from consideration. The amendments were publicized only last month, and it was advocacy of the independent researcher James ragus that alerted the public to the implications for the U.S. sovereignty, prompting a ground swell popular opposition, largely in the past week. Ragusa has been monitoring the world health assembly proceedings, which began Sunday, said the withdrawal appears to be the result of quote the massive response from people all over the world in opposition to the amendments to the international health regulations along with legal actions in the United Kingdom, along with the fact that the amendments can be resubmitted in the future and the World Health Organization's ultimate objective is for the leading nations to sign a global pandemic

Hillary Clinton Okay'd Release of the Russia-Trump Collusion Narrative

"I want to turn to this big story that no one in the mainstream media wanted to cover, and that's that Hillary Clinton, according to her campaign manager, Robbie mook actually was the one who pulled the lever and said, yeah, go ahead with the disinformation that Donald Trump was somehow connected to the Russians through alpha bank, which is a major state run Russian bank. I mean, this is really something. I mean, I guess a lot of people that have been around the clintons long enough and politics long enough, they're not surprised by it. But I still think it's a pretty monumental development. In that what we're discovering is the whole thing was a sham. It was a sham that was picked up by the mainstream media and they ran from here to Sunday and back with it over and over and over again to drive home some narrative that really Donald Trump was nothing but a Russian

Michele Bachmann Discusses the Plot to Undermine American Sovereignty

"The person that has really pulled the fire alarm, the person that has been able to warn us about what's happening at the World Health Organization. Is Michelle bachmann. There's a clip with Michelle bachmann, and the great Steve Bannon, going back and forth about this that has been sent to me probably by 30 people in the last 24 hours. And one of the most effective interviews that I've seen in quite some time warning, the American population of what's happening very soon in Geneva Switzerland. Is what Michelle bachmann said on that program with us right now is Michelle herself. To be able to walk us through what we're just getting into. And the World Health Organization meeting, Michelle, welcome to the program. First of all, thank you for really signaling the alarm here. How do you learn about it and get into the details? What are we about to do? We being America in Geneva, Switzerland, if we don't stop it. Hi, Charlie. I just want to bring greetings to you for regent university too. We adore you. We love everything you're doing and you may not know this, but I'm the adviser for turning point for turning point USA on the university campus. So I'm a big fan of YouTube. So thanks for having me on. But the issue that we're talking about one is one that just came up recently. No one should feel bad if they don't know about it. This issue was meant by design to run under the radar. The Biden administration has amendments that they took to the United Nations to the world health assembly. The healthcare arm of the United Nations is the World Health Organization. But the World Health Organization's governing body is the world health assembly. They meet once a year in Geneva Switzerland. They're going to meet beginning starting this Sunday, May 22nd to the 28th, and they take up their business. Agenda item 16.2 this year are the proposed Biden amendments to the 2005 international health rules. Those are the rules that we in the United States agreed to beginning for international health beginning back in 2005. This is not a treaty. There is a proposed global pandemic treaty that's being worked on right now that will be voted on in 2024. That's not what this

New York Red Flag Law Missed the Buffalo Shooter

"No, Matt, I don't know if you were on the air on Sunday. I got a day to absorb the buffalo atrocity before I had to comment on it in between there occurred the Orange County atrocity. And so I'm able to talk. I've been on the air live when shootings have occurred. And I was on the air live with 9 11. It's always hard to speak into that. But yesterday, Chuck Schumer blamed Fox News for it. I always think the Democrats go a bridge too far. I always think it's mental illness combined. And this kid's a racist. He's obviously fell into the rabbit hole of replacement theory and other weird nonsense. That comes out of white supremacist supremacism that needs to be denounced. But what do you say when the gun control advocates arrive? And New York has a red flag law, a red flag law that did not work. I like red flag laws. They're called stop orders in Arizona. Severe threat order of protection. I like that. It didn't work. It's on the books. What more can we do? I also support red flag laws. And I think this is a clear case of the system failing. The system's failing at every level, the shooter was referred to a mental health evaluation, which he confesses in one of his journal entries he manipulated in order to get a pass. So people weren't paying attention at the school. They weren't paying attention at the medical level. I also am very curious about the family situation. You know, he was there in the house with during the pandemic. That's where he says he began his radicalization. What were the parents doing? So this is a systemic failure. And I do think that we have to be aware that this subculture exists online and people have to be very wary of it and prepare to direct kids away from it. But you also need to have a situation where people in positions of authority are aware of these sorts of threats as they emerge and do what they can to stop them in the case of New York where you did have a red flag law. I think more needed to be done to prevent this young man from obtaining me awful weapons.

Doctor John Chang, a physician, is a hero. He ran at him, it took a bullet, doctor Cheng died, but sufficiently disturbed the killer that the other parishioners, including the pastor, were able to hit him with chairs, knock him down, tie him up, take his two guns and not allow him to shut off the explosives.

"Tobacco. Welcome to the podcast. Thank you mitch. Almost getting notional. I think. I am actually well even more so because we are both coming to the nfl korea's thirteen years thirteen and a half for you and we're both finishing the rice that we both love love height. And we're at this moment sitting in the same room day before race and actually our amazing relationship. In a friendship way let's clear that Startling yorker also roomies did two years ago and half thirty before so trying to get a so. We're on the eve rubai And we don't want to do because birt has had a lot more success rice in all have but the lob is still equal. Let's talk about the actual rice. What's your first memory of peru. I i think for me it's The picture of the mapuche geiss also missio pointing out the knee on. Yes and With damone on the podium. Those are the the freshest memories humane when he was the matia postal two thousand two wind. You love this rice. First of all in the thought of my career. A i always sit to rama's my Favorites and actually it's more because i'm flemish guy. Had the feeling. I had to say it but through bay became really favorite when i realized that could come that close to the world's top level riders which i didn't do any other race astray because it is difficult and when you can actually be part of the rice and not just following not just doing a job feel play out in the rice and feel comfortable in the hottest sectors when the biggest cause of giving their best for me. I for a very long time. I had the feeling. I became a pro and it was a bit of a bit lucky to be in in the bunch And two thousand fourteen when or at the opportunity to be with bowling in the long Or early break halfway race. Second half of the race. Let's say the early final break and go to the final john. That's the first time. I realized i was more than just lucky to be in the lunch and had to that the right to be there. You deserve jr applies to your own too. Yeah what's the toughest part of the rice. Few the first fifty k. Of gobbles up until arm because then it's also changing of course In the earlier years positioning was one of my strengths. And now it's everything except of that. And i don't have those guts anymore to take. All the risks will be in front of the first sectors because actually on the couples without being arrogant. I'm with the thirty or twenty best rides on the couples. So that cost me the less energy but you have to get there and do many fresh guys who are willing to take the risks. I can't beat those guys in the first Fifty couples i think. Yeah we need to wear the out now. The hell let the big boys play in a way. Tell me about your best. I at parry rubai. That's two thousand fourteen picture. A bit Second feed zone one hundred eighty war close to two hundred big road on the bridge yet on the bridge. That's were left and there were a group of ten guys. Maybe all guys. Which well i was thinking about those guys pulled. They really made it. They're really yeah. Tellingly dunking those were for me. Decent bro cyclists and then suddenly tumbling Came to our group. And i was so surprised i sorta second sector with the group that guys who dropping now like how is it possible to become or do play the tactical game already and it's still fifty gate the goal. We just have to write a not play around and leaving gaps for joking or Just to play the game. And then i read. It's maybe can sound arrogant. But i was so easy and closing the gaps to to be in the front of our group and then realizing that didn't come back off the dissect this really playing the guy. Yeah yeah begun. No but that. Was you really have to picture as a a small young guy who is suddenly with the big island. I was even enjoying all fans cheering out for. The moment was on the first line and So that was the most nice experience. What makes this rice so special. It is special in front of for many reasons. Got a lot of reasons once special for me. It's really all good but it just it's up there. There's something about this race. What makes us so special for me. It's it's the fact that i could be competitive. Makes it's for me very special and the medical thing of it is for me. Hard to because riding on the cobbles. Was i guess more easy to me which is probably similar to you than frog guys. But it's the whole atmosphere around all flemish you guys are coming or belgian. Guys are coming to the sectors. Cheer out or it's not the the raise the closest to where i live but it's maybe the race where the most people can watch it so history. Guess one about few on sunday. The last one water you predicting in terms of emotionally and also what do you want out of. You'll lost rod at rubai annual loss rice view. Korea i i didn't want to have a little bears. Lost one because the rays on itself is important and nice enough to to have it by himself and not putting that big mark of my lost we raise of my career which made me bit scared of that lost race could decide how my career looked like but then i was actually ready to just ride to the village room but out needing any result to be happy and had my wife and duke. It's there give him a kiss in the middle of the room and tell them that was it the nova sadly enough but my level is as good as it's was lost four or five years on its best so actually i started the leading again. That's as always getting nervous last week before and going for results but of course with me via possible wet. That's changing again. One last question if you could give advice to a young self a young tobacco or young coming to these rice potentially the first doing it or starting these long love affair with the rice. What's in voss. You could give your young self coming to peru rubai now at the end of your korea and everything you know about the reis. Good luck. guess. Maybe you could say it took awhile before start believing in it or but every ruby had his value to come to the point. Where am nine now. Many times had the same cubes but then the end that will still still one hour before the start doubting about my pressure. It's of the game. I'm experience of course but also still for those.

"And their parents, Harriet and William, fled last Sunday and just being back here and going through the experience of being in a hurricane in That house and then literally, I mean that was a place of refuge. This really made me appreciate the skills, the craftsmanship of the and save people. They were not able to have this kind of house for their own protection when the hurricane will hit them. Whitney Plantation is not like the other historic plantations located along the famed River road that winds along the Mississippi. This acclaimed plantation museum was the first in America dedicated to the telling of the slave experience. Joy Banner, who lives a mile and a half away is communications director here. She unlocks the padlock and lets us into the dining room, which is furnished with elegant table settings from that era. This is where we were for 17 now. At one point, the wailing winds stopped and they saw the sun again and they thought the storm was over. But when the winds picked up again, they hurried back to the big house. The eye of Hurricane Ida was passing directly over the Whitney, but they were safe. You can feel that this is pretty, you know, thick plaster on brick that is used for the construction of the bottom portion of the house, which is where we stayed. A look at these walls. There are more than a foot thick. And this was built in 17 91. It's seen hurricanes before seen Betsy. It's seen, um now it's seen Ida her sister Jo, so ironic to run to the big house. You know, I never imagined as a descendant of the enslaved that will be running to this house. The big house at the Whitney Plantation is considered one of the finest examples of decorated wood architecture along River Road. In one room, you can still see the initials of the mistress M H monogrammed on the ceiling of the parlor. Again Joy Banner. As much security and safety as a house provided. There's still a sense of you don't belong here, like the House is not for you either caused extensive damage on the Whitney Plantation. The original slave cabin stood but to sharecropper cabins that were brought onto the property were flattened. The ancient oak trees lost a lot of limbs, but they survived. The pigeon roosting houses are okay. The stately whitewashed Antioch Baptist Church, which was built by emancipated slaves and moved here from across the river in 1999, was also heavily damaged. The banner sisters, mother, Harriet says she'll never forget the day of the storm. It was just so loud and it sounds like maybe that train was coming through and you look out and you're sort of beautiful trees and they were just all over the place. It was. It was terrified. Harriet Banner believes it wasn't just the thick walls and Cyprus shutters that protected them. There's a Catholic tradition down here in ST John, the Baptist.

"Excellent guests. Even though i don't gamble much. I especially like even money. It's a different way of thinking about the games. I like the mass which brings me to my question for steve. Could he explain the math and the analysis for when to try to middle bet. If that's not the right term. I mean when you do something like bet the same game over forty four and under forty seven to try to win both on forty five or forty six. Is this something. Steve does often and the way he thinks about it. Different for point spreads and over unders to be in a position to do this. You had to place you like in the first place. And i'm curious about when you'd want to give that up. Thanks and keep up the great work bill. Yes so middling oftentimes what happens. I have a better. I really like so. I go ahead and make it and it can be what they call the square side of the public side so last week. A good example would be the tampa bay green bay total so the first half opens up. There's twenty four first-half the games fifty one and i went and both of those gave them out to my clients the over fifty one and then all the money is on the overs and then by the time kickoff comes around though the first half twenty seven the game total fifty three and a half so at that point. If you wanna go ahead and play back of your bet talking about a nice middle over twenty four under twenty seven in the first half. I can say hey. I really like both these bets. What was interesting about that. I didn't hit the metal. They did both of those. ross think. about how good. I'm looking at twenty four points and it looks like tampa bay is gonna plant at the end of the first half and i'm like all right. I'm gonna win under. I'm gonna push my over now. Little scotty miller rewrites that scripts and winds up going to thirty one end of the first avenue even at the end of the game you know it sitting on fifty one and it has certainly a chance to land fifty one until of course the two field goals here late in the fourth quarter we will dive in all the draft kings. Prop bets The draft kings. I make our official plays one week from now super bowl fifty five. Ken outweight if you wanna make an early bet now over draft gangs and they got some awesome stuff on the draftkings app. The regular cast at out as well. Checkout steve on social act as exports and only at exports except no imposters. I'm at ross tucker. Nfl we are at ross tucker pod. Good luck everybody because wins some money. "What about when they went for two down. Seventeen steve is that the right move doesn't matter you're gonna have to go for two twice anyways you know. What does it matter if i go to now or gopher to later. So mathematically actually correct because you want to know whether you're gonna make your two point conversion so the mass says if you go down sixteen and then he got to go to twice and both times so at least if you go for two and you don't get it now you're like okay now. I need even another score and you can start doing your onside kicks even earlier so it actually is mathematically correct dot it. Okay good to know before we get to an email question anything anybody needs to know right now for super bowl betting obviously next week. We'll make our official bets will make our prop pets. There's always good propagates out there. They're not out there yet but they will be for next week. You usually clean up on those. It'll be our last week of the season. Hopefully we maybe we can even finish the double digits. That would be awesome. Is there anything people need to know right now. Though steve that might be like tempted to try to place a bet between now and next tuesday when we record if you're going to bed tampa on the money line. I think he got to pull the trigger now. Plus one fifty. If you like tampa for two reasons one is. I do think the spread which. I would call three point one right now three. But there's extra big little excavation kansas city. I think it's going to trickle down to a solitary. So i think you're gonna see a little professional money on tampa however in the super bowl of one thing that you can count on almost every year. This is a strange phenomena but it always seems to happen the betters. The recreational bettors liked to play the underdog on money line so if they bet the favorite the late with the points if they bet the underdog a whole lot of better than normally aren't big betters. Take the underdog to win outright and what happens is that you typically get lower money lines than what you'd get in regular season so a three point favorite usually would be minus one sixty take back one forty in a super bowl. It'd be more typical to see that same. Three point favorite be minus one fifty to take back like plus one thirty five on the very same point spreads. So i don't think you're gonna do better than plus one fifty on tampa bay. That's the bet. You wanna make that it now before the public who backs tampa who that the public that uses the bet data that some on the ma right now on the money line tampa is plus one forty eight. They are getting three and a half points minus one. Twenty-one the chiefs serve given the three and a half at plus one hundred. But you're taking steve's advice and you like the bucks and the money line plus one forty eight is where they are right now at draftkings. We do an email question from a listener. I love these. let's get to it. Ever wanted to ask professional sports better a question. It's time to ask steve. Ooh i like that sounder. Ask steve professional better right. Russ i really enjoy your podcasts. Great discussions about sports.

sixteen two Three point next week three point two point Russ next tuesday both times one hundred two reasons Twenty-one kansas city three and a half twice last week one fifty three three and a half points one forty

"No one's gonna listen to you. Well finally the analytics people are listening. Then we get to buffalo okay. So final score was thirty. Eight twenty four. The chiefs were lang two and a half at draftkings. The total was fifty three by the way both games went over. I had said elsewhere. I would've leaned under so. I'm glad i didn't say that. Here on the even money. Podcast i leaned chiefs one. It was two and a half. But i didn't pull the trigger because i wasn't one thousand percent shore mahomes gonna play. I'm a moron steve. I should have put the units on the chiefs. Two and a half. It was a good number. He did play. Like i thought he would. And by the way. Have chad henny on tomorrow's ross. Tucker football podcast which will be interesting to talk to chad. The chiefs backup quarterback but who played big in that browns game but the chiefs win. Thirty eight twenty four. It's just crazy. Steve that they could go eight games in a row without covering eight games in a row where they win by six points or less and then destroy the bills. Like that game wasn't even that close. Thirty eight twenty. Four amazing that mahomes five carries only five yards on edwards. Helaire the number one back. Six carrying seven yards doesn't matter moms just throws it underneath to tyreek hill. The cheetah who they're protecting against the long bomb so throws ten yard passes and fifty yards after the catch seemingly on two or three of them and of course kelsey ate them up just those two guys single handedly murder the chiefs and kansas city. So they want to start the game and they muscle pons. They don't punt the rest of the game. I just a juggernaut and maybe exposed that buffalo defense got the play some offenses. That weren't so good. Maybe that improvement in the buffalo defense with more about strength schedule than about returning to how good buffalo delays lasting tone. You're right now. The buck should play a triangle and two defense against the chiefs. I'm joking of course but double team kelsey. Double team tyreek hill. Have the other seven guys responsible for the chiefs nine. Now you're out man when they run the ball but it's not like the guys that are doubling kelsey and doubling hill. Won't when it see it's a run but okay. Well i'll go make a tackle now but those guys destroyed. The bills destroyed them. You know the problem. Is that the bills recruit for speed. So hardman i think pringle also are like track guys either so fast that if you lead them all alone and you throw a five yard passer give those guys a reverse and you're not covering them blink. And that's what happened in this game. That was the they had. One really good rushed argument for fifty years. Okay so while we're on this topic. I gotta ask you what about mcdermott's to fuel choices end of the first half first of all why you're throwing out route to dawson. Knox two yard short of touchdown. I don't understand it all but they do that. He gets tackled to the three yard line..

Steve fifty years Knox thirty fifty yards six points five yards two eight games seven yards Six two guys seven guys Two and a half kelsey tomorrow both games three two yard ten yard

"Atlanta has a ninety nine point three percent chance of winning these games and they lose both of them well. How often in real life you see less than one percent occurrences occur. Not nearly to this extent. It's because they underestimate the math guys. How proficient the offense is being able to score even with only like thirty seconds left so having said all that on fourth and eight with green bay. Absolutely i would go for it. I don't know what rogers was thinking not realizing. Hey i don't need to get in the end zone on third dab feels pretty open. Let me go ahead and use my wheels. Because that way fourth shortage a no brainer that we're going to go for it if i don't get into the end zone but even four thousand eight absolutely and willing. I hated him out leflore. He said he'd only gotten two yards. The last replace. You've gotten like twenty three points over the course of the game. You're proficient offense against the tired defense is injured in the secondary export. The nate who cares about the last three plays and so the His rationale that he had failed the free place before i felt was really sub par because clearly green bay had been moving the ball the second. Half also yeah. He said we hadn't gotten any yards. Like you're not really trying to get yard at that point you're trying to score a touchdown they were. He was throwing the ball in the end zone. They weren't like trying to get yards rodgers. Absolutely should have run it on third down. I was shocked. Was that second or third or whatever it was. I was shocked that he did not which brings up a whole other thing that one of our patrons one of our listeners patriot dot.

"Against the Chiefs last Sunday through a couple of interceptions in that 43 to 16 lost to Casey this week, offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur says they're trying to coach him up. You always teach find amounts of playing the position and really It's It's a mindset first off, you want to be aggressive, but you want to take what's there And so when you go back and look at the game, everybody's fond of saying, you know, throw the deep ball, But there's times when they legislate against it. You check the ball down. It happens in all games and everything's progression driven, You know, then you go through your progression is not there. Check it out. You move on. As of now, the game is slated to go on as scheduled, despite the fact that the charges were dealing with a covert 19 situation. Head coach Anthony Lin. We had our first Positive test work over 19. We met this morning virtually and half those meetings. I decided to send the player's home coverage of the Broncos and Chargers starts at eight Sunday morning on Leon Ko. That is set for a four o'clock kickoff number one. Clemson will be without quarterback Trevor Laurence. When it takes on Boston College tomorrow. Lawrence has tested positive for covert 19 baseball. The White Sox have a new manager Hall of Famer Tony LaRussa. I think all managers would understand this. I think everybody would understand this how rare it is to get an opportunity management team. "Think it's important to have frank conversations about the authoritarian tendencies that we are seeing. It makes me uncomfortable. That makes a lot of people uncomfortable, but it's necessary. So learn from history and compare it to the present day. I had a guest on my program last Sunday who wrote a book about fascism. It's how fascism works. What he said to me on Sunday was obviously we're not living in a fascist regime regime. Here I am talking to you live on C Span, right. We obviously don't live in a fascist regime. But he says, We need to see the tendencies that are taking place and understand them and take them seriously on. So I think it's important to look to those scholars and those researchers, those experts in authoritarianism and and see what Opening clearly with our own eyes. At the end of the day, I think most Americans see through all the hopes rhetoric. You look at the polling that shows most Americans don't believe the president when he says the media is the enemy. Most Americans just want to know what's going on in the world, and it's really hard to figure out out. Sometimes I sympathize with those who say they don't know where to turn for real reliable news, but I think what we can do in this moment is trust the outlets that are trying to get it right. That's the big dividing line. I think in the American media, it's between outlets that are trying to get it right. We might make mistakes We do, of course, but least trying versus outlets that are hyper partisan. They're just trafficking and political noise trying to make things louder. Dinner. That's the challenge I think for the public is to seek out sources that are trying to get it right trying to get to the truth. "The end of the month and we're gonna find out what they have for everyone including a few changes this year and we're also going to introduce you to Danny Sharma and her story about her spinal cord injury and yes screen is an interesting story she's not very well known but it's just one of those articles I read somewhere and I thought it was kind of interesting so I figured we have sometime after talking to the department of aging and be a good time for a story like that this is been such an up and down week for a lot of reasons the conversation we had last Sunday with Brian you really really reared its ugly head for a friend of mine this past week I think maybe in been hello last weekend but a friend of mine lost her daughter twenty three years old to an overdose of Fenton all and and it just goes to show you she had gone without oxygen on her brain for quite awhile the same stuff that we were talking about last Sunday yeah you know what I think a lot of people they don't realize this you here all day given our candle be okay you know I don't think the people are seen serious side of now she is acts are basically what happened was she just they they she went into a coma she just had no Davis she's put on life support and the other night they decided to take her off life support and so you know it's just it's I mean it's always been something that is really important to me because of a lot of the advocacy work that I do but you know when it hits home like that I just only the just get angry about it but you just make you feel lost yes not much you can do and you know I've had it were friends of mine and family members etcetera been suffering with some directions over the years and you just you don't know when somebody calls from that into the family Ole yeah the one nope I wanna know what I want to know yeah you know and I just I didn't I didn't find out about this until the other the other day when I was told by my nephew and he was really close with her and when they were growing up so just who is really sad and are now it's just like you said it just it really it hits hard when it's close hi Sir for if if if you know if you don't know that much about what the problems are with this if you have anybody in your family is to suffer from anything like that take the time to really investigate and look at what's out there what's happening to people because this can be stopped if you just you know how that helping hand out there for some people can't see can I won't say that it would can stop every time I mean that's just not a reality but it can sometimes help so it's just it's kind of sad one other thing lost a very big influence on me as a young guy learning to play drums today yeah ginger Baker the guy was amazing it's in a it's it's one of those things where you start them to Whittle down the members of those great bands that we're together like cream you had Eric Clapton Jack Bruce and ginger Baker now Eric Clapton's the only one left the ginger Baker died at eighty guess was yesterday late late last night early this morning he was eighty years old and he was one of the first real rock drummers to incorporate using a double bass drum into his kid and not only did he incorporated in but he mastered it and utilize it to its fullest and if you ever go back can listen the wheels fire the cream album wheels of fire and there's a there's a live version of a song called toad where he just rips off about a fifteen minute drum solo absolutely amazing crazy stuff so another one's going although in in his later years Hey he did kind of start to lose a little bit I know he was very angry easy kind of a guy towards his later days and not too many people really enjoyed being around him that much but you can never take away the fact that he was one of the greatest drummers that ever lived so yeah he with him along with John Bonham Carl Palmer were some of the bigger influences on me as a you can learn to play drums back in the seventies so yeah well we were teenagers you know that was a it is amazing these guys have lived to eighty from what we see and go through I know he he just goes back to that old whose song my generation is I hope I die before I get old yeah I listen when we come back we're gonna talk with Laura Riley from the department Mel Baltimore county department of aging on us and things and another another very poignant death that took place this week very historical I will talk a little bit about that after we talk with Laura so let's take a quick break and we'll talk with her going members of insight on disability group on Facebook today to chat and share information about disabilities make sure you also follow us on Twitter at insight underscore radio what's happening on the show if you want.

"And last Sunday I believe that his constituents were free to trump and as I go in and I start talking to people I realize just what the living conditions are for it not just the residents but even the children there and what they've been playing around there's a band in row homes filled with trash homeless addicts at the needles that they abused and it's really right next door so the tractor rodents cockroaches you name it but you know to have congressman Cummings talk about the situation at the border is just a it's laughable because the conditions in its own destroy and a lot of people said he has even been there in awhile are atrocious now this woman appeared on fox news on Saturday morning ally should Cummings was attacking conditions at the border border tension facilities the Democrats refuse to fund more beds and then they're shocked to find that there are no beds and the news media so just why are there no beds ignoring the fact that the Democrats refuse to fund them a week earlier because the American news media is extremely corrupt and president trump solve this apparently because the timing lines up so this woman on the fox news channel sang out how dare larger Cummings attack conditions at the border maybe you should look at conditions in his own stinking rat infested homicide rich district where he has neglected people for a generation at least now president trump began now with great great stuff Baltimore under the leadership of Elijah Cummings has a worse crime statistics in the nation twenty five years of talk no action now I was just reading to a headline from the Baltimore sun which is a left wing rag in Baltimore as you might imagine Baltimore has the highest homicide rate of big U. S. cities and this year homicide rates are up again eighteen percent non fatal shootings are up thirty one percent about twenty five percent of of people in Baltimore body more murder land live below the poverty line and what neighborhoods you take those people are those in there and all I should Cummings neighborhood now if you point that out the Democrats have no recourse but to scream racist because it's what they do when they get out of bed in the morning anyway I think they yell racist at their Cheerios boxes when they when they go down to the kitchen in the morning so the president said under the leadership of Elijah Cummings has a worse crime statistics in the nation twenty five years of all talk and no action I think that it speaks for itself so tired of listening to the same old bull next Reverend al will show up to complain in protest no sooner did the president say that then the Reverend al announced he's headed to Baltimore to protest let's have some riots why not nothing will get done for the people in need sad president trump tweeted but he didn't stop there if the Democrats are going to defend the radical left squad and king a large as Baltimore fail it will be a long road to twenty twenty the good news for the dems is that may have the fake news media in their pocket boy is that true and the fake news media with that let's go to Mister Blackwell Mister Blackwell is not only but is Victor Blackwell he's on CNN and he's a black guy and he grew up in Baltimore so well and when he went to college she left and never look back and never went but he started sobbing like a little girl on CNN how dare you tell the truth about Baltimore and Democrats not doing anything for a generation the president says about congressman Cummings district.

"Last Sunday, I got to watch while I was doing the post game show, the women's college World Series and you and I think alluded to it a little bit over the weekend. But what a finish to that on Sunday, and then UCLA winning it. Then the first two games against Oklahoma. I thought it was a great spectacle. I loved it. I thought it was terrific. All over that the whole week leading up to the championship game the series, you know the when they swim they're silly teams involved. Me talk about some quick bats. Helling in there. And this tremendous power hitting, you know, great defense, just really exceptional ball all the way through. You know, you get you get to remembering some of the names Garcia for UCLA and Sydney Romero for. The home. Yeah, Oklahoma really good player. And just thought it was a great a great spectacle that it just gets better every year. It's to the point now where the caliber, play really exceptional great drama. There's no pros after the women's college World Series right? It's, it's this is this is everybody. Putting it on the line here. It feels like ritual Garcia, one of the all-time great performances in any sport. Ten shutout any sixteen hundred seventy plus pitches and then a walk off home run to credible. Yeah, absolutely. It is that there's really nowhere to go. There is a league of some sort that you could advanced after after college. What it's called right now obviously, not a big. Glamor circuit or anything like that. But. You know, these these women, there should be a higher league for them, because they're just getting started really they're teenagers early twenties, and they can really really play. And they play the game correctly. They throw to the base. They run the bases. The place at the plate is a slow motion, we'll slower but you can earn baseball from watching it. Yeah. It's a very pure form of the game especially at that level. I like it. Yeah.
