"Kicking situation, So if I were him, I'd drop eight. I would try to have all my defenders. All eight defenders pass coverage with their eyes in the back field, so if Justin Fields tries to run and extend the play We'll have eyes on him at all times. Alabama leading 21 14 6 17 to go till halftime Back Jones 16 out of 18 for Ohio State 1 94 2 touchdowns. He did have a costly lost from the first of his career that led to an immediate score on the very next play. Magic Harris has rushed for 39 yards and a touchdown. Vontae Smith. Nine Catches for 1 24 Touchdown for Alabama, Justin Fields, five out of 10 passengers for Ohio State for 86, Master Teague. 11 carries 60 yards for Ohio State and two touchdowns. Which team's been in the red zone twice and scored two touchdowns in Ohio State, trying to make that three for three with a lot of work to do from the 16 3rd down 11. Master teams on the left hip of fields out of the gun. Here comes the blitz fields today it is in complete with tight end Jeremy record. He got blasted in our flag comes down. Jordan battle made the hit. You wonder if this is gonna be targeting It was a pop over the middle. The record fields through a strike. Rucker got his hands on it, but he got hit hard up high. It is the ball playing off him to the grass. The flags flew in Jordan battle were delivered to hit up Hi Brian Branch was trailing in the coverage targeting defense. Not really targeting is under review. I think this call is going to be confirmed at the replay review battle ago as record is coming across the middle battle initiates that contact with the crown of the helmet right to the face mask. Jeremy record, really? A massive hit that's going to be targeting for sure can't see anyway. It's not. It's really textbook targeting. That's what the rule is intended to do away with mean You haven't I've not seen a hit like that, Sean. All season long. That was that delicious. Made to the head or neck area with the crown of the helmet. Almost very nice catch. The ball was going on in front of him said extend his armies. He tried to call it into his body. That's right. One battle. Arrived and crunched him with promise helmet right in the chin strap of record with Brian Branch trying to tackle him from behind around the waist. Now we should also point out there's a little short handed in the secondary, Malik I'm or the freshman. He was outstanding this year started every game until the semifinal against Notre Dame, which he missed with a bad back. He was a question right before the game, but our information was he was unlikely to play and I do not recall having seen him in the game After reviewing the play ruling of targeting is confirmed Number nine is disqualified by real question clinics. Saving Pete Golden will have to adjust not a happy homecoming for battle. He's right down the road in Fort Lauderdale ST Thomas Class High school, which is produced so many great players, including the both the brothers, Joey, and next week, Come on Ohio State stars. That's a massive penalty not just because you lose a great safety in Jordan battle who has really come into his own there in the back and the best defense. He's also the signal caller back there defensively and You give Ohio State fresh set of downs, now half the distance to the goal after they were faced with 13 11. So a massive penalty by Jordan battle first and goal from the eight ball on the left half to Marco. Helen's has come in. He plays very well against Notre Dame, Never leading tackler. Jordan battles in tears on the Alabama sideline after the injection gun the handoff to two straight ahead for about to go down easily. They're a bunch of Benson tied wrapped around his waist. Here comes third down and goal now from the 65 53 o'clock running remaining in the first half battle, Definitely in tears on the Alabama sideline, Crimson Tide leading 21 14, but Ohio State trying to tie it up. Hey, break the huddle. With the lobby there wide receiver on the right end of the line and with tight end record out wide to the right shotgun snap. Fields has time froze, and it's almost intercepted. They threw it over the head of the tight end. Good, Farrell. And Patrick's attend had playing off his hands in the end zone a chance for pick but he couldn't catch it on. That's now to the last three throws from Justin Fields, way off the mark. He had guys with opportunities to potentially make plays in the football. He just missed it. The windows get tight in the Red Zone Got to be more accurate. Football. Jake Cyber True freshman from Cincinnati, Ohio. They've used three different kickers this year. Whether top to Blake Hobby land dominates the Mesa out of action was a covert. Three freshmen out of Cincinnati LaSalle High School very highly recruited most of the services out in one of the top two or three figures in the country my school last year. His only attempt during the regular season was a 44 year old who thinks Indiana, which he missed. But he's good there. Look, rock song may have facing him. I'm gonna be something if it comes down tonight to a kick by cyber who had never made a field goal until tonight. He's paying his own way of Ohio State is what they call a gray shirt. They didn't have enough scholarship, so he's paying his own way with the promise that he'll be on scholarship next season. I think it Z widely assumed If he kicks a game winner tonight, Sean, I'll make you a gentleman's agreement. Steak Bet If you will. He makes a game winner tonight. He'll be on scholarship tomorrow is that a fair assessment still find a way. It's good athlete played wide receiver as well in the South High school in the state championship team, he made a 43 yarder. In the championship win against Master in Washington last year, which is the longest field goal ever made in the Ohio High School deep to state championship game shows. Clutch had two field goals in that game. They were using Drew Pressman. The punter, kickoff are left to our right ball. Just inside the left hash marks on. "You guys can hurt each running and throwing the football and this was a guy that could have decided to leave but least just sit out and maybe even looked a transfer. When the season was postponed, but he like so many of the other players. Really took a public stance and trying to campaign for season two time helped push the issue for the big 10 to reconsider attempting to play and he certainly has shown not only what he did last night. That shone with his ability as a young man to help carry the messages. They've just shown What an impressive individual and a man snapping the ball to Justin Fields close personal friend of the chick stirs, but anyway, his family Josh Meyers, Miamisburg in Miamisburg High School, man really proud of this young man. And what a force he could be a center. Well, when you think about not only what he did last year, but what he could do this year. We're having why Davis next to him on guard, And you know, this is a team that lost but some key offensive lineman that have guys coming back not only just Josh Meyers, but why Davis Harry Miller, a true sophomore, who'll be the other guard spot their month who spent his early high school years of LaSalle High School before going to Mass alone. Nicholas Tea for air and they've got some young guys will help develop their certainly what Josh Meyers has done it representing, you know the part of the state that you call home and not also, Cincinnati. Guy's from my hometown is like, you know, when you think about Jake Hausmann for Moller, you think about it tight end to reverse from the partners from Shall you know those air guys? Tehran Cage on the offensive one from Winwood's terrorist Johnson. A Cincinnati true freshman who may get some serious. We're exploiting the offensive line. You know, you're in my part of the state are very well represented at Paul Kills with us The voice of the Buckeyes and Paul, you know, how is the pandemic impacted? You and your ability to see the team see the players. Be around them, and that's got to be difficult. We're not able to see anything. We're not able to be around that little weird. We're not able to do any in person. They're all by telephone or by zoom and it's going to make what we do A little more challenging, But you know everybody in this industry. The National Hockey League announcers, the NBA announcers, the red guys, Tommy throwing Jeff Brantley. They had to deal with doing Hopefully we're gonna have to look at doing that. With away games doing we're not travel. So you know there's gonna be some unique things about it, but don't be games and that's the most important thing. And how about your partner on the football broadcasts from Saint Henri, Ohio? I've been really hyping Mercer County and from Dark County and the Great Shelby County. It's ah, the high schools. Phenomenal. Well, Jim O'Shea will be glad to hear that somebody else. Lt Mercer camp, you know, unfortunate And this will be my 23rd year doing alive. Take him. It'll be his 24th season. "In motion the tight end out of LaSalle High School. Here's a handoff to Jerome Ford and a nice Stop by Austin P at the six does look like that would be a bear cat. First down. You think so, darling, stunning thinking. He's a no signal. First down my bad I thought he's got a half yard shine. Flowing in the game. Chuck is his teammates calling Great, Nice run. They're right out of the bed yet Great to see him back after that severe knee injury had last year happened in training camp just before the start of the season first and goal from the six Ritter claps. The hands catches the shotgun snap hands. It Charles McClelland and that defensive lineman I referred to earlier Josephus Smith, using the low center of gravity made the stop near the line of scrimmage. Sir. Did nice job there. He did not give up one inch courses to 95. We're gonna be hard to push out of there and being that low to the ground. You need a nice job wrapping up McClellan as well for them, No game, but they call him the mini fridge. 59 to 85 2nd and goal from the six Jared Doakes back into running back. Lennie Taylor goes in motion from left to right. Ritter fakes a handoff and he'll be sacked back at 10 set up to throw and never had time to cock the arm. As he was nailed at the 10 yard line for a sack of the game for Austin. P Absolutely, Ajay Sean Jackson coming on the slant route. Michael Young was one on one at basically the whole third of the right side. The right side third To himself, but the Ritter couldn't get the ball released. So now it's third and goal from the.

"And around the world I'm Ron bar good avenue with us here on this edition a sports byline we're GONNA be talking football, high school, and college football. When it comes to college football, one of my favorite announcers todd blackledge I think he does an excellent job, the former quarterback who led Penn state to the National Championship. And he was picked in the first round seventh overall of the nineteen eighty-three nfl draft by the chief where he played five years and then he later played for the Pittsburgh steelers a couple of years and he was a three year starter at Penn. state for Joe Paterno and he guided the nine to thirty one and five record including a national championship in nineteen eighty two years said he also won the Davey O'Brien award for best quarterback in the nation and he played his high school football in Canton Ohio which if you know anything about. That part of the country a little bit like Texas where it's a a passionate sport same way in Ohio as well and as I said, he was the seventh bic in the first round of that eighty-three NFL draft and that was a big time draft because he was picked behind John Elway. But ahead of Dan Marino and there's always in great discussion about that and then later on, we're GONNA be talking some high school football. If you've seen the the movie that is out about Bob, Laddis Sore and day Lasalle High School, which is The most successful high school football played in the country the ever almost every season, and he certainly is one of those accessible coaches in the national high school hall of fame and the numbers tell the story he had a record get this three, hundred, ninety, nine, wins, twenty, five losses, and three ties is ninety three point eight percent winning percentage is a national record for coaches with at least two hundred wins. He coached Lasalle to a national record, one, hundred and fifty one game win streak more than double the previous record of seventy two games. He won seventeen state and eight high school national championships, and he said some pretty good players. The NFL twelve to be exact including Armani Tumor Dj, Williams and Maurice Jones drew, and he also has written a football teaching book. This is pretty good if you're out there teaching are interested in the technique of a high school football teaching chasing perfection the principles behind winning football the day Lasalle way. So it's going to be a very interesting our we'll kick it off in just a second talking with former quarterback, todd blackledge on America's sports talk. Show. Shell.

"LaSalle High School in Concord, California, and that should do it. Well, those are the names we're getting used to. The reason Dave put that together this morning is the Giants. Your San Francisco Giants have reached an agreement with the number 13 overall selection out of N C. State Pat Bailey, Patty barrels. They're calling him on the circuit. Hey, will sign with the San Francisco Giants for deal worth about $3.8 million. Giants in turn, are going to add him to their 60 man player pool, which, as of right now is up to about 53 or 54 players. Good morning to you happy Thursday. Did you or for for all intensive holiday purposes? Happy Friday. Do you want to throw anybody off? But I hope that if if you're working this week, you're getting your Friday observed for AA for a little Fourth of July. Action Hope if you are going to do the Fourth of July thing that you're going to stay safe, you're gonna mask up on you. Will you keep your distance from others? Because I want sports back. I want baseball back. I want football back. I want hoops back. I want it all back, and if we get it back, you gotta play by the rules. If you want it back, you gotta wear the mask. You can not believe the numbers they're giving you. You cannot believe the spread. You can say Well, they're doing more testing. That's all fine and good bottom line is we're getting anything back to normal. Almost people start wearing masks and keeping their distance it in California. There have been some changes made. So as we found out yesterday from Governor Newsome night mask, different security, 19 different counties, 1958 counties in the state of California. I have been told basically, no more indoor dining. No more bars, no more. Ah, family rec places. No more zoos, No more museums. Things like that are now getting shut down yet again, And there are other cities and other counties that are on watch right now. You know, San Francisco. Is one of those. But Mayor Breed last week said Hey, we're going to find a halt are re opening of stuff so San Francisco, which was not on the same level as as a bunch of these other counties that we're a little bit more spread out across the state has not had the same restrictions. But it's because Mayor breed had imposed kind of her own restriction and saying We're going to sort of stop the roll outs or stop the reopening for at least momentarily now. My fear is that there's so much other stuff closing and gather governor Newsome said yesterday. They're going to close all the parking lots to state parks and beaches in both Southern California and in the Bay Area, probably a positive. What did surprise me a little bit is no closing of parks on. I'm a little skeptical about how that's gonna go this week. And really, this is all for me. How does this tie in it, of course, were concerned. About the health of people now and the well being of Ah, of you know the citizens of California and the citizens of this state and people in the world. That's probably a one importance. But I'm talking about this is as to how it pertains to sports, because that's just once at the forefront of our mind here on on the sports leaders in terms of getting past the we've got to keep the general public safe. The question is, Will they be able to get things moving? If things continue down the path there on? I've got no confidence on. I'm talking to you. Yeah. You sit in your car if you're at home, If you were in the shower, you get ready to start your day. It's you. I'm talking to out there. I've got no confidence in you. I'm not buying it. I'm walking around San Francisco and not a ton. I stayed for the most part in my in my house. I hit the grocery store. I hit the hardware store. I don't leave a whole lot to go to a whole lot outside of playing some golf, which what you could do. The distance thing, and you can wear your mask up until the tee box and let me tell you the way I hit it. I'm not near anybody, anyway. Once once we get out of the link, so I get to keep my distance The problem here for me. Is the way things are going to go this weekend with the holiday and this is my fear, and Newsome talked about this. We discussed it yesterday that when you get in groups of your families and people who are having these home barbecues, that's where you get comfortable. That's where you say I've had a few pops and Uncle John is here and I'll give him a hug. And I know he's not a mass guy. But I'm comfortable because he is my family. It doesn't matter. None of that matters. And if we want to get any sort of normalcy back, we've got to abide by these rules in these distance thinks so. I fully expect San Francisco to be running wild with people at Delores Park with Washington Square Park. People are going to be out in about because it's going to be a nice weekend. There are places to sit outdoor and dine in San Francisco, and I'm just not sold that. It's a the safest thing to do and be the smartest thing to do if we want to get things moving again. I said yesterday like I know There's a fine line to toe here and I get the sidestepping of it when it comes to, you know, we need to make sure the economy is open and the things are running, but that we've got to keep people safe. And I get that two of those things. Both sides of that thing could end in disaster. You can. You can totally ripped the economy to shreds or you can. You can decimate the American population. Onda world, Really, But right now we're talking the US because of it, Making up like 1/4 of the covert cases in the country took us like it took us What It's two months to get to 50,000 cases in the United States. We get the 50,000 in two days is what's going on right now. So things are going rampant in in the state of California and in the United States, so much so that we've now got more news out of other other leagues. Now the NFL who They're starting to have to make decisions, and we've talked about this for months. Now that the NFL was the one league that could kind of sit back and wait and see what happens once that calendar foot to July yesterday, everything changes for the NFL. Now the league years is just about underway. We're 26 days away from 30 or 20 minutes 28 of the 32 teams starting their training camps. And they've now cut down two games of the preseason. Now this is something I mean, I don't want to call fake hustle, right? I don't want to be like, well, they're there. They think this is going to help, but it's not going to help the fewer What's the word? I'm looking for the last time? I guess you spend with your with your teammates or around other groups of people, The less likely you are to contract over 19. The fear here is that Not the fear. The question here is is the NFL making the right decision by kind of nickel and dime in this right now by saying, Hey, we're just not going to play two of the preseason games. I get there trying to prepare for what could happen. Understand? You know, we've got to acclamation the players to this world. They're going to be in Ah, in a little bit of a different way. They're going to be spread out in a different way. I don't know how you're going to training camp. How many guys show up to training Camp David, you could whisper my 75 85. 90 guys in every one of these organizations. Then you make your cuts and you make your signs and your guys were at the practice squad. All that stuff happens, of course, right after the final preseason game, so effectively what they've done if they've lopped off the first game in the fourth game, each team will play a home game in a road game on then we'll see what happens, but they'll have about 23 days from the time they report to training camp. So when they could get some preseason games underway, I am not sold. That the NFL is going to get going and the reason I think they made this decision now and lop off two of the games. They can still play it by ear and sort of wait and see. What happens is Major League Baseball is going to get going five days before players were supposed to report The NFL training camp Basketball will get going three days after two days after NFL player starts to report to training camp, and if it's some point, it goes rampant. They've got to shut things down. Ah, then then I guess that's the way it goes. But it's going to be tough to tell the NFL. You gotta close things up the NFL to me. Looked as though before yesterday and I know they cancel the Hall of Fame game, which is coming up in about what?.

"Larue Martin joins us on Sports byline the former NBA center, who was drafted first overall by Portland. He was drafted before hall of Famers Bob. mcadoo and also Dr J. Julius erving first of all, Larue, I read an interesting quote from you said when you're the number one draft choice, you have a lot of pressure. I was a young man, twenty one twenty two years of age, and you have a big zero on your back, and people want you to produce. Tell me a little bit more about that expectation for any number one choice, but also particularly for you well, I think back up. Of course. I was a young man and. When. You're drafting number one. There is a lot of pressure. I think that when that I got drafted, but People want you to produce. And you had the big zero on your back year known nationwide, the number one draft choice for the NBA, which was honor. But, as you may know my plane time and I don't knock anyone. Or anything but I think the much playing time to really produced. You can always have a lot of playing time when you're playing against. Your team needs some practice. But when it came down to a game I average maybe four five six minutes, and you can look rex and was about it. And it takes time to reduce I. Mean I played against some of the greatest in the world. You know you're looking at Kareem. abdul-jabbar Cowan's. Wilt Chamberlain I mean I'd go back a long way my God what forty eight years. But it's just one of those things and I don't regret being number one draft choice, but it takes time produce, and like I was saying didn't get too much playing time, but you know life goes on i. just kept my mouth shut. You know I never criticize the newspapers. I stayed away from any of us and. I just took care of my family. The Best I could it yeah. I thought it was very interesting. Latter part of that quote was as you get older. You learn how to live with it and I never say anything negative about it. They can't take that number. One draft choice away from me. You know that's a little bit like looking at the glass half empty or half full, and you all have always looked at life as a glass half full. Tell me a little bit about that development in you. Well, you know. I came through public housing in Chicago I did very well. I went to a grade school by the name of Saint since I went to high school. It was all black prep high school. And I went to the university I. Say to myself what thank goodness did I. Did get my degree and I did learn how to deal with the media in a sense If you look at a private high school, I went to a school whether it was all ethnic groups I mean, and we all got along pretty well, and then if you look at it, being drafted number one I never realized that. when I was in college, David George Almonds and matter of fact I. got a Pitcher. Me was a basketball over his head. Really thinking really until later on life, when I was read by the Portland Trailblazers and I look back and say to myself. Oh, I am number one but I have to produce, but like I say once before it takes playing time playing against other teams to get. An produce what you WANNA. Do don't forget will only seventeen teams in the back then when I was playing. And I, look back at myself. Okay? Maybe they called me a theory basketball, but I wasn't a Syrian life. You also said about growing up in public housing in Chicago. You wash dishes as a student. Day Lasalle high school to help pay for your education. And you said about the the groups you grew up with a lot of different ethnic groups in everything. Where did it change? Larue because I'm here in San. Francisco and I see that and I've seen it for a very long time the same way you saw it, but at some point has changed everybody kinda melting together. Yes, we've really melted back. I've never had any issues with anybody coming up from public housing going through a grace finances, Frances and like. We all got along and I I think too that. My education was really a big stepping stone, and then when I moved to Portland Oregon I never had any type of racial issues. Not at all. We all got along. People respected me. They used to say to follow the rule and by leaving Chicago come into Portland Oregon. It is taught me a lot of how to deal with people in general in itself. And I still Miss Portland a lot I mean I. Wish I could've stayed there but one. It started off with ups. I got another promotion and Guy Transfer back home here. Let's go back to Chicago for just a moment. You mentioned as I just did about public housing in Chicago. The one thing I know about Chicago during that period of time because I went to high school down in Ran Tool Illinois. Air Force. That's down south and we used to venture in the summer up North to Chicago to maybe take in a couple of games play a couple of games on the hard top in Chicago. Now you know at summer basketball like in Chicago. Take me back there and tell me a little bit about what that was like for you..

"I mean, those are two really really good players. But you'd you'd never seem to flinch when you had a big moment there like it wasn't a coincidence that you were great and begins. Well, thanks. I appreciate you saying that it comes from practice. Like I said, but it also comes from coach K and some of your teammates when you're a freshman at Duke and Quin Snyder Danny ferry look at you. And they say we need you that that gives you a lot of confidence when coach K looks at you and says we. Need you out there? You're one of our best players that gives you a ton of confidence. Did Danny ferry you when you got there your freshman year? Of course, my first day on do campus. What happened? My parents taught me off. I kissed him. Goodbye said go back to New York, leave me alone. And I walked straight into the Duke basketball office, and Danny ferry was they're getting his mail, and he didn't even say Hello to me. He just said you wanna go play. And of course, I said, yeah, let's go play one on one. So we walked over to the locker room. We got changed. He said, here's your do practice gear. And then we went out and played one on one. And and I had to let him be on offense. I because he was the senior and he drove left and spun right and put his elbow right in my mouth and said, welcome to ACC college basketball. Nice. And then you've actually did that to other people and I've been crucified for it. Since Danny ferry was the guy next door that you'd want your daughter today, you it was you know, you were different still vilified. But, you know, people don't hate Christian Leitner. Now is it was I hate one person that was the name of the movie, I hate crucially, only one person what's not one. There's more than one that hate Kristen Leitner, but come on, Dan. There was only one Christian joining us on behalf of land lakes, which invited students to participate in the land lakes botched shot. So these are robots here. "To the market, but I'll start with you because you've been here before. And how you been I'm good. How are you? Why can't complain congratulations? Thank you. It's I mean, it's big accomplishment was definitely feeling good last year. But you know, kinda go back to the tyrants amazing. That's the first time for LaSalle high school, right? That's a two time state champion yet. First one. Yeah. I saw little interview with the the inquirer after the match and that was no-shirt on all sweaty. But you're a pretty thrilled. Yeah. You know? It's exciting. It's hard to do that, you know to be able to be a two timer to me. It's an amazing feeling. Are you getting kind of a nervous about the fact that you're about to be a graduate you're graduating high school, and you're moving on to bigger and different things? Is it gonna be like starting over again because you're going to go to college, and you're still going to be wrestling? Right. Yeah. I'm still going to wrestle. I mean, and to a point I feel like it's going to be kind of different because I'm definitely going to have to kinda get used to like the big ten in wrestling people that are twenty four and twenty five and I will only be twenty. I mean, it's definitely just like coming into the freshman coming in as a freshman, and you're just starting all over again. It's basically starting from scratch and having to learn now, you're going to have to bump up in your weight class last year. Would you want state, you're? What one thirteen at one thirteen this year one twenty and then college the weights are one twenty five one thirty three one forty one. And so on Salvi obvio- gonna have to put on a couple of pounds in the next couple months couple months, which shouldn't be difficult. Now, I'm trying to put on like ten pounds of muscle for. Okay. And it's kind of the goal of right now. Just muscle. Yeah. Does that work? See I drink Miller lite, and I put on weight, but it all goes to one place. You know, that ain't that ain't muscle now. I mean, I'm starting to get with a lifting coach now and somebody that's going to help me with kind of strength training and a diet. You know, we're gonna see where it goes from there. Okay. Now introduced me to your friend senior with me trae Sizemore, he's our eighty two Pounder he gonna Brown. He's been wrestling for thirteen years thirteen fourteen. Eighty to one eighty two. Yeah. One sorry. One eighty two. People are saying eighty two pounds. When does this got to be like a toothpick? Now, he's in the one hundred ninety two he's a big guy. He's not small. Well, welcome in trae. Thank you. Talk straight into the microphone because otherwise they're called directional microphones. And you got like straight into them. You know what? I mean. Yeah. There you go. Yeah. How's it feel to be sitting in a radio studio at midnight? It's pretty cool. I've I mean, I've never felt anything like this before. Now, tell me go back in time a little ways, I know Luke's history and many in the audience know Luke's history because he's been wrestling damn near all of his life. How long have you been wrestling? So I've been wrestling for thirteen years being Luke wrestled in middle school for a long time. And in grade school we kinda grown up together for a while. And I've been through allies same stuff, we've traveled are my entire life and around the country wrestling for all these big national tournaments or anything like that. I know that. So you were actually is this the guy you would travel with a lot like with his family and whatnot is because you guys would go. I know that you would be there in Minnesota this weekend. And then they're in there in Iowa and in South Carolina, and they're all over the place. So we me and Trey kind of traveled with our one ninety five Pounder, Michael he he actually got runner out. But we traveled with him. And kinda we just kind of tug along with each other, and you know, grown up with. I mean, it's been it's been awesome. Trey you or not actually the guy that was kinda listed or in -ticipant it to be the winner. I was not how'd that work out actually wrestled the projected champ in the semis. And there was a tough match. But I ended up beating him five to one. That was actually a really exciting match. Really? Yeah. Yeah. It was probably more exciting. It was more exciting than my finals match. Actually, I warned me and my files a little bit more handily by we're kind of rolling around a log into some funky positions and the semis. And those are pretty fun. Mash watch I watched it back on YouTube afterwards. I haven't had a chance to see again. I haven't even had the chance to see your matches yet. Your dad always puts all this stuff up later in the coming days. It'll be you got to go to the flow, wrestling, stuff, or whatever. But I I don't have a sign in pay for it. Yeah. Exactly. I mean. Blows pay to watch this guy. You know? I mean, it helps out with college wrestling when people can't travel as much but for high school. I mean, I think you should have to pay for it. That's my opinion. Oh, no. So. Pretty much. You knocked out the guy that you were really needed to knock out in the semifinal round trae. Yep. It was and then there was actually another upset and the other semis. I was expecting to have the guy that was ranked third coming into the state tournament and the finals and the the fifth ranked guy upset him in the semis. And so ended up being made the six right guy and rank guy in the finals, which is really unexpected. So you felt like was that kind of a sigh of relief when you say I got past this, dude. And I know what you're over the years, and we got to go to Columbus on several occasions to watch your brother max wrestle over the years. And I can't remember do we make it up there? The first year you in Columbus or even made it up there guys made up my freshman the first year. So just the one time we got to see Luke actually wrestled state. Yeah. Not pretty cool thing. Trae was telling me, I was asking the numbers as far as you come into state. It starts like on Wednesday Thursday of last week. Thursday starts on a Thursday. How many wrestlers actually come in to start this whole thing off so for all three divisions? It's a total of six hundred seventy two wrestlers on day one for the first round six hundred seventy two wrestlers. Yep. And only for some of those that wrestle on the first day their weekend, maybe over if they lose in the first round, right? Yes. So they have the first round on Thursday. And if you win that then you're done for the night. There's only the one round if you lose your job down in the first round of the constellation bracket. And if you lose that then you went to and you're done so you could be eliminated first day or you can move on. You make your way today. Number two, you g- wrestle two three times on the second day. So if you win the first match said the way state works is it's four matches to the finals you and your first one you win another one. And then you win another one and you're done until Saturday. It's it's a one one tournament kind of style way. You just go one match at a time. So like our our root for the state tournament word roots? A better word. A route was we won Thursday first round. We're done for the night. Then we wrestled Friday morning second round. Then we had a wait until.

"And haven't been to the races in a long long time. And these are brand new luxury suites at Santa Anita. They you know, they they've had over there. I guess if you've seen any kind of a movie that's had rose horse racing in it. You've seen the traditional box that people sit in, you know, like those nineteen forty movies and the guy with the Benach healers, and there's a his wife or girlfriend is there, and they're they're they're a box. That was the height of luxurious horse racing viewing for pretty much the entirety of the history of horse racing until the advent of the luxury suite, which of course, was first introduced I think in the football world, I could be wrong in basketball and every single solitary sports stadium in the world. Now that's worth anything. Every brand new stadium is built with these luxury seats because it's it's an amazing source of revenue. I mean, they get you know, what are you getting fifty fifty grand for you can get one of these weeds. I don't know. I I can't even think like fifty sixty fifty sixty grand seventy grand could get one for full season. But maybe that's changed. So we obtain this weight at an auction for LaSalle high school my. Al-matar, and I was hosting this auction, and this sweet was a part of the auction. And I went ahead and just sort of threw in a preemptive bid. You know? That is I don't care what anybody was going to bid. I was going to top that bid. And then go broke. And then wondering what the hell was I was doing. No, I knew that. I was going to I knew I was going to take the sweet because I don't think anybody was willing to there were a lot of cheap creeps there. And I'm joking anyway. That's that..
