to come back for some time right I mean Michael it would be awesome to see him come back you know we all know the history there you know the grievance against the league I think that was settled for something under $10 million But you know he's been trying out for quite a bit of time You know I'd love to see him go back to the Raiders I mean they have David Carr obviously But if he gets some time behind center throwing a guy like devonte Adams I mean that could be very cool to watch You think this is good PR for the Raiders I definitely do especially after what we saw last week with Gruden So yeah no absolutely you know it's a little bit of PR there but he definitely can serve a role as maybe mentoring David Carr serving as a bit of a take your head in the locker room and all that kind of stuff So you know there's a reason they brought him in I hope And it would be great to see him suit up and get behind center again Can you imagine him coming if he does come back the sponsorship opportunities he's going to have Oh my goodness can you imagine I mean look Josh McDaniels knows that too right I mean this is dummies out there in Las Vegas They know the value of a dollar But I think you know in the same breath in Kaepernick's last season with San Francisco they didn't do so well I believe they had only one win that year So that has obviously a lot to do with the team itself Mayfield fired off a series of tweets criticizing the protocols. Quote, NFL make up your mind on the protocols, showing up and making only three teams test, also you can keep the games scheduled to make money. And this is true. So what's happening in the NFL is because the vaccine is not working as they told it was, obviously, a 100% vaccinated leagues are now having massive outbreaks, they're not even testing every single team because they know if they tested every single team, the league would completely fall apart. So instead of actually caring about natural immunity early intervention or Therapeutics, they're testing teams rather selectively. Jon Gruden Resigns as Raiders Coach Over Decade-Old Offensive Emails
"John Gruden has always been kind of a wild child in the NFL always been a little bit of a loose cannon, if you will. And I believe he was also he was also the coach of the Oakland Raiders in like the 90s. And then he went to the Buccaneers and led them to the Super Bowl very complicated. But then he rejoined the Raiders in 2018 after he was an analyst on Monday Night Football. Do you remember those things he used to sit down with the quarterbacks? And it was like Gruden's corner. I've never been a big fan of Jon Gruden. I'll be very honest. One in 2002, that's right, my memory's not too bad. I'm not going to be an apologist for Jon Gruden. Okay? I'm sure he lives a complicated life like most people in the NFL. But this recent saga involving in his resignation slash termination is disgusting. And the national Football Association is in many different ways. In enterprise that is built on a House of Cards. The entire structure of how many of the teams are filed as nonprofits on how almost every stadium is built thanks to taxpayer dollars. There's a lot of corruption that exists in the national football, the National Football League. And so it came out a couple days ago that John Gruden is going to be fired, or it has to speak out for his racist and homophobic emails over ten years ago. And I shrugged my shoulders and I actually didn't know where this one was going to go. Because John Gruden signed a ten year 100 million dollar deal with the Oakland Raiders. And now so he technically resigned whatever he says, I have resigned as the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders. I love the Raiders and do not want to be distraction. Thank you to all the players coaches and staff and fan fans of raider nation. I'm sorry I never meant to hurt anyone, John Gruden. And so it was revealed in some of these emails. And based from what I've said, seen should have said something's probably not no, was he joking around in private in a context that none of us can understand? Yes. "Average defensive back isn't going to be able to climb the ladder and knocked down the raiders. Also don't have any of those like freaky athlete. Type guys that are going to be jumping the gym and making those kinds of place anyway. So i'm not too worried about the steelers missing out on those kind of throat. Up trump plays if this is kind of what the teams offense of identities gonna look like. I think they definitely find success in it in this game Past the receivers. I think ben roth. Spur is going to settle down a little bit. Have a quiet stadium around him. Which i think is something that's important event. Historically rothlisburger is a lot better playing at heinz field For whatever reason. Ben places best football in pittsburgh or in the state of ohio where ben has a that crazy winning record against the browns and the bengals but outside of pittsburgh ben tend to struggle. He struggled a little bit against the bills. But i kind of anticipate Having that crowd behind him Not having to battle the noise of rowdy group being able to communicate with guys is going to play exactly into ben roth spurs favor and it's something that the steelers are going to find success in just having the ability to work the ball down the field and be able to just make those audibles that we know ben. Roethlisberger likes to make so. I think this is going to be a big game For ben roethlisberger. I think start line is going to be better than what we saw him. Put up against the buffalo bills and again another reason why the pittsburgh steelers will be successful against the oakland raiders sunday. I know the way i'm talking. It's really kind of shaping out to be one of those games where you hope steelers win by multiple scores and in my opinion. That's exactly the way it should go down. Come down on those vegas odds. And i think the steelers are one that is kind of prime to beat up a raiders. Team that is ripe for the picking and it's one that i'm kind of excited for as a steelers fan like we all are here to watch under way. The last facet of the game. I guess we should also talk about is the steelers special teams After giving up that long kickoff return to start the game against the bills steelers. Special teams looked outstanding. Any game where your special teams can put points on the board year likelihood of winning shoots through the roof So i kind of anticipate Obviously not another special teams touchdown to kind of make your prediction lake that back to back weeks. It'd be maybe a little bit ridiculous. But i could definitely see the steelers special teams being dominant once again. They've brought in so much talent to kind of round out their special teams groups that they should dominate teams. In this faster the game Miles killebrew's one of the best special teams players in football. And he's a guy that blocked punt steals brought him in for reason it's already paying dividends. Derek what seems to be making special teams tackles each and every single one of these games and is one of the reasons why he was elected the special teams captain for this team. And bring that into the regular season going five for five on all his kicks against buffalo If he can keep that effort up the steelers shouldn't have any problems against the oakland raiders. I think that's another one of those weird factors you don't think about that will get the crowd at heinz field going steelers fans love this guy already If he can knock some punts down outside around the opponent five yard line i think the defense will chug out on the field with a raucous crowd because of how much they love presi harvard and how much they're ready to show appreciation for him so i think that's one of the factors. That is one that won't get talked about but one that i'm kind of interested to see if presi harbin booms a couple months how steelers fans will react to it. And i think it's going to be extremely positive to say the least flipping things over the other side and a couple of reasons why the raiders could possibly sneak out a victory even though i think it would be very unlikely for them to do. Of course it has that kind of trap game an opponent. The steelers should definitely handled no problem. I think if darren waller's kind of the big name of watch out for if the steelers are unable to limit him waller's guy he. He's one of those tight ends. But he's that kind of talent If you get him going he might not Slow down so Stuffing darren waller is one of the biggest keys this game. Also josh jacobs is still one of those premier running backs in the nfl in one. That doesn't really get enough credit. He is someone that we definitely need to keep rain on That will also fall in this defensive front seven which really is a front seven. "Raiders lost to miami. Las vegas raiders are now seven and eight. They missed the playoffs again. This year and the blame has got to go on. Jon gruden their head. Coach I i like jon gruden. I think there have been moments where he's done a good job preparing his team to play. I thought the highlight of the year for las vegas. Raiders was beating the kansas city chiefs. They looked very well prepared. That a great game plan But again this loss to miami coach. The recent failures by the raiders has to go on. Jon gruden you're gonna blame jon gruden for the loss. Make sure you do it for the right reason. So all the attention after this game has gone onto john. Gruden's late dame decision making against miami. Where the raiders had the ball first and goal on the eight yard line with a minute and fifty five seconds left. And the raiders chose to not score a touchdown they had. I mean they first of all they had the running back. Josh jacobs literally taking the other one yard line that he slid down to avoid scoring and did not want a touchdown would have given them a six point lead because they had they were down gas. Were down twenty four twenty five so they didn't want to have a six point lead. They wanted to take as much time off the clock as possible then on third and goal derek carr literally kneeled to continue to run the clock down and they kicked field goal.
