"Even though the wrestlers were great and they had some great stories back then when they started getting their hd net like Weekly television show is just like they lost tyler black. Who is now the Eh he fought Daniel Bryan for like One episode of Danielson Bryan Danielson American dragon chat out and then the stars sort of dissipated and it was so frustrating because they had already had their talent rosser totally rated by WWe which had notice. Everything went to the Nigel McGuinness. It's went to the TA and they had some interesting things. They did there at the time when Nigel McGuinness and the young box went and they change their names. And it's like wait who were Desmond Wolfe and generation me Yeah I didn't understand why they would change those guys names with when they built up great reputations and rustling people still with the young bucks joke joke all the time about generation me young bucks and this is sort of my heartache. I think the young bucks when people talk about the Pantheon everyone everyone does like these lists and it always seems just so weighted towards a pass because people get nostalgic and remember what the what things were like when they were growing up. I honestly think that young bucks are absolutely in the conversation grace tag team of all time. I agree with the work that they've done. Really I think to contemporary acts. Stick out its young bucks and new day because a new days really unlike any tag team. Well there's three guys in the temptation they haven't I like that. They've never sort of broken up and it's so easy to go that especially when Kofi goes on a singles around it so easy to do the played out sort of rockers storyline like I hope they keep them as a unit and happy. It's all power positively and I would really hate to see that disbanded but right up there with with the new day in terms of like match-quality the young bucks I think simply cannot be touched right now that is a major guys actually like market them as like a top line star which is so great to see with tag team wrestling. Like there's going to be a w cards were tag team and you've done it with dynamite but pay per views big time pay reviews were the tag team. Championship is a main yet. I mean some of the best matches we've had native of absolutely been the tag team matches and the young bucks and the loser. Brothers helped put the company on the map. You Watch that match The the The ladder match that they had any part of you is like I gotta worrying about protecting my investment here because there were are some bumps in there that were really mad took one that was just genuinely like is. He arrived at the table. Here it's going to be okay. Do you have conversations with this. I know you guys had a rather controversial storyline. With cody. Rhodes taking a chair shot. That wasn't as this story. Yeah the the idea of somebody taking a chair in wrestling. Isn't that shocking shocking. Talking now when you see like a a a chair being delivered to the head in American wrestling because wwe sort of there were a number of things about the execution of that that we're not the way it was supposed to be we don and now so i. I was pretty clear at the time I caught reduce pilot error. Because I thought we had come up with you know I didn't necessarily want anybody using it in the first place but if they were going to do it they were GonNa do it under certain guidelines and those guidelines were not followed. I understan- all that chair shots and sort of blood. That sort of reminds me of like at the E. W J's and there safer ways to do that. Yeah I was looking I WANNA be safer than he. Cw and that was supposed to be safer and that was It was not done the way it's supposed to be and it was addressed do you. You think that's something lacking not for the sake of doing it but I even had anything like that sense by the way since I that was our second show we'd ever done and it was before we started TV and it was. It was fighter fast and it was the second show done and you know I like I said it was addressed after that and I haven't anything like that. Since Moxley Omega had a very violent match you think there's a place for that sort of style when it comes to modern day wrestling storytelling on pay per view. I think there is You know for that. That kind of wrestling You know the hard core fans absolutely. I think there is as an audience for that and I wouldn't put a match like the Moxie Omega Lights out match on television but I think on pay per view the way it was done where we said like okay. Ah We're flipping the lights out and we're not responsible for what you see here. This is the end of the show and you know as far as the kids are concerned laughter. Cristiano versus cody. You can put him to bed. I really really liked that. You'd literally that's a cliche. Put the kids to bed. Match was actually quite funny. One more question for you because I know you gotta go here. I don't know it's What was come back? This is come on. I love to come back double or nothing. There seems as there's temple show in Chicago every year for the first couple years of your double or nothings in Vegas okay. I'm sorry. Yeah there was all out. Yeah there was all in and then it was all out it seems as though that's like the tentpole And then double or nothing came on the scene. Is that going to be like the sort of Wrestlemainia Wrestlemainia of all the double or nothing in Las Vegas. Is that the plan that we've got a big four right now that we were building around we've done set the the kid in you the wwe. Because when I was growing up survivor series royal rumble wrestlemainia Summer Slam. Sure I think there's you know if that helps you know I'm just no I A major the big. We've got the majors exactly the Grand Slam Golf and tennis. You got the big everything has four. I don't I think the end there's room for other are great shows too. I think these are four. We've established and we have other. You know I also I'd like to do you know fighter fast again and we've built up a big four though. Oh and it's you know double or nothing in Las Vegas Memorial Day weekend all out In the Chicago area which is Labor Day weekend. And then you you know in November. We've done full gear this past year. Which went great in Baltimore and I'm not sure as opposed to double or nothing being an all out where I really think those are going to stay around the Vegas in Chicago area? I'd like to go back to Baltimore for full gear. Believe not locked in a location for full gear. So that could that could be that could be a show that kind of moves around potentially but They've we had a great experience in Baltimore and then Also we've got a big show coming up that sold out minutes which were doing for the the first time in February twenty-ninth leap day in Chicago. It will be our next big pay per view revolution and that's going to have a huge huge huge card and it'll be the first time we've done revolution so who knows where that will fit in the hierarchy of this but I do think it's going to be huge. You'd show for US revolution. I'd like to be able to do it every year. But this is the first time we've done it let's Seattle goes it's in conjunction AC- too. It's pretty cool because I'm from Illinois. We've done all out and an episode of dynamite in the Schaumburg area area Hoffman estates the sears centre which is a suburb of Chicago and people are always like. Oh you've done to shows in Chicago we've never done a show in Chicago but revolution is is in Chicago at the wintrust arena. So we'll actually be debut in the city wrestling crowd on the way out here. I'd like to convince you to do a show at craven cottage. Just Mary. All the world's I would I'd love to do it. I've actually been to craven cottage with the box. Actually and we looked at it. and IT'S A it's a big venue and a big outdoor venue and when when we do our debut and show in England. I'm not sure the cause you'll be the first place you'd want. We'd go but it would be a great place to a wrestling any day. Any day I can spend at. The cottage is a good. It's such a classic venue and it'd be so called the C O wrestling show at the cottage. It'd be All Time I can't thank you enough for being so generous with your time. I know you gotta go. Hopefully occasionally when he got a big I shall we can get together and catch up and maybe talk about your product a little bit more because Fan of what you guys around this Wednesday she go to the show..

"Solution for household insect troll. I couldn't get rid of all the Meltzer bashing this week. But I'll try again next week. We appreciate you tag it in with us and jumping on board for a little slam Burri action. And I guess we should tell everybody we're getting a little closer to star cast and the rumor and innuendo is that your panel on the nitro book, which we've plugged here or I don't know. Well over a year is going to be talked to the show. I think they're lining up a lot of behind the scenes personnel from WCW, what are you most looking forward to talking about? When we visit with guy Evans discussed the nitro book. I I am such a fan of guy Evans, and I wanna make this clear because you and I both have been supporting guys book the Mitra book for a long time. Now, there's a lot of unflattering things about me in that book. There's a lot of things when I really read through that book, I read about myself one, oh and really was a necessary. But it doesn't take away from the fact that that book is so credible. And I'm I'm I'm so grateful to guy Evans, who is a legitimate journalist who did the hard work in actually did real research and conducted really interviews at at what I'm sure was a great expense to him in publishing this book, but the the thoroughness in the detail in the honestly, I learn I still go back and read that book out go back to it for reference because there were so many things going on above my head. And if the senior senior senior executive levels within Turner Broadcasting in Baltimore that I wasn't even aware of until I read that book. So I'm probably going to be asking more questions of guy Evans than any anybody in the audience because I think everybody on the panel. I'm probably more interested in what was going on around me. Because like I said, he he he covered so much ground that I wasn't even aware. It was fascinating. Well, if he can't make to Las Vegas Memorial Day weekend. The place to be star cast on fight dot com. Check it out you'll get that panel and more than twenty others included for the low low price of just fifty nine dollars is both live and on demand and glorious Sates the unlimited replays, and you not only get that show. "Sacked. There was no. There was no discipline or a strategy when it came to pay per views. Nobody agreed or believed that the pay per view should be the end of the story. So K to start a new one if you have to and continue the story onto the next bay view if necessary appropriate, but you still have to have a Finnish. And I think you know, the non-finish finish in the awarding Richter title after the facts was just was bad creative. And was would do see a rematch on W every Saturday night. Rick would give the title tobacco winkle on Saturday night leading to the rematch with Rick getting the win win stained, but went for leapfrog flares hit him fires. Head hit him in the winter and staying goes down and re got the pan, which is a fun finished gas head. But to the dick a high praise finish, you know, the, I guess it was worth. Mentioning that Rick did the or steamboat did the double chicken wing thing to Rick at the two and three falls match that they did head to head with wrestlemainia and Louisiana back in India, non so they're they're going to do it again here in this match, and that sort of the story they're trying to tell if you're a long Tom viewer of this feud overall, you know, you were you've seen all the the flair steamboat matches of note, a steamboat flares. Best opponent in your opinion. Did you prefer staying Shawn Michaels Vader, where where would you rank steamboat all time? Oh. I I have to say flair. Shawn Michaels with all the respect to everybody wealth. It's just a matter of taste in. Maybe it's because I was you know. Closer to both of when when Shawn Michaels in flare happen, you know, the Steve Butler trilogy was before my WCW timer. NWEA time really wasn't a firsthand fan at that point. And of course, I've watched them back, but watching them back from a historical. Historical perspective is not the same thing is, you know, being a part of in the moment while it's actually happening. So for me, I would have to say flair Sean like us. Well, I'll tell you what everybody agreed that this was a great show spring stampede ninety four in the wrestling observer reader poll got six point nine percent thumbs in the middle. Two point seven percent. Thumbs down and ninety point five percent. Thumbs up really phenomenal show. Usually, the the undercard in WCW would be really really strong in the main event, maybe not so much that was not the case here, although clean, finish would have made it better for sure. Even though that match won the best match in the reader poll on the observer to me the match I still remember most of all from this is max Payne cactus, Jack and the nasty boys. How about you what sticks out the most? I would still go with flair steamboat just because of the legacy in it would have been better with a better finish. But I would still have to go with the main event what we hope that you guys will go with on this journey for eighty three weeks. We're having a lot of fun doing this. And we can't wait to do it again next week. But we do want to give everybody a heads up about something. That's very important. And we realized that can be a little frustrating, especially if you're in a hurry or running late to find yourself at a railway crossing waiting for a train. And even if the signals are going, and the trains not even there yet, you can feel a bit tempted to try and sneak across the tracks. Well, don't ever trains are often going fast with the new expect them to be and they can't stop even if the engineer hits the brakes rot way, it can take train over a mile to stop by that time. What used to be your car could just be crosstalkl mental? And what used to be you? Well, better not think about that. The. Point is you don't know how quickly the train will arrive and the train can't stop, even if it sees you the result is disaster. So if the signals are on the trains on its way, and you you just need to remember one thing. Stop trains can't. But this train rolls on next week, man. Eighty three weeks, I'm having fun with this. I I know you guys are and we put up a a pole, and I was a little shocked to see what one we we had some interesting poll topics, but we're we're gonna be keeping the show coming your way. And I do wanna mention that. We've already got the next several shows map down. We're going to get your slammed. Breed pole winner on may sixth. Whatever came in second place on may thirteenth but next week right here. The long-awaited often discussed beat around the Bush never in great detail Korea. Oh, what can people expect next week when we talk about the collision in Korea? Wow. I'm excited about that. What an amazing experience that was what can they expect? We're gonna take them into a world that most people don't even know existed in probably still exists to this day. And we're going to take them there through the eyes of not only myself, but RIC flair Scott Norton in a lot of guys that were there and talk about fish water. Doesn't even begin to cover it. So yeah, I'm really excited to talk about this. So next week. It's all about Korea. So set your clocks calendars, April twenty ninth. It's all about Korea on may sixth. We're gonna cover slam berry nineteen ninety seven that won the pole. And boy, do you guys love nineteen ninety seven because there's not a great show may thirteenth slamming nineteen ninety nine low more meat on the bone on that one may twentieth is a departure as is may twenty seventh guy. Couple surprises. Don't wanna spoil them yet. But we're gonna finish out April straw. We're gonna have a lot of fun in may we appreciate you being on the journey here. Eric is going to be loading up some extra behind the scenes bonus content from his upcoming travels. You don't wanna miss those? It's over patriarch dot com forward slash eighty three weeks. Only a couple of bucks. Join one of the best investments around and do want to mention that tomorrow night is the last night. It's a priori star cast on fight of save an extra twenty bucks. It's normally seventy nine. As long as you order before midnight on the twenty third. It's fifty nine and automatically entered to win our how roller contests which could get you in a friend from anywhere in the world to Las Vegas Memorial Day weekend front row and first class of everything for a hotel, suite, etc. Etc. Every meet-and-greet front road of the pay per view. It's a hell of a deal. And I don't know that you saw but over the weekend or I guess the last week we announce the roast of Rick flair. We think about that Eric I think it's going to be amazing. I would you know, the two things I'm really looking forward to is hearing on Anderson aren't is fascinating art rustling history. He's got a unique perspective. One of the smartest people. I know. So I can't wait to to to here on this panel. But obviously, you know, the roast of RIC flair own my God, it should be a three part series. There's so much there were. It'll be a blast. It will be a blast. And you're going to be there as well. We got you doing some some into bureau picks, a very rare photo op with Kevin Nash, Scott hall. Sean Waldman and Eric Bischoff. But the panel is going to be fun because we're breaking down. Well, you think is the most honest book ever about WCW guy Evans nitro book and allegedly according to the rumor and innuendo guy Evans is going to be there. So the idea that you guys get to chop it up with some of the other w w office people about what was written in the book that sounds like a good time to me. I cannot wait. I met guy Evans briefly at the last star cast very very brief just long enough to say Hello. And I put over his work until the how much I appreciate him putting the time and effort to to really right in the history of an accurate history of of WCW, let really wanna in Turner. But I can't wait to break it down because there's so much there to talk about so much. I can't I can't understate how much I learned about. What was going on around me that I'd never heard before by reading that book in s because of the interviews the guy was able to do he was able to sit down interviews with Bill Burke was president of TBS at the time. Joe Hugo ahead of ads sales at the time. So many different people who were really really critical to. W W future and its demise. I find it. Absolutely fascinating. So I can't wait to be on a panel with it. Yeah. It's gonna be fun. If forever reason can't make it to Las Vegas. You can enjoy it all star cast on fine dot com is where to check it out star cast on five dot com and be sure to order before tomorrow night, April twenty third at midnight. And you're automatically entered in their contests and save another twenty bucks until next week. He is that a bishoff. I am a, hey, it's Conrad and we are out of time see next week right here on eighty three weeks with Eric Bischoff.

"And almost like they you know, like that like Vitry house radio they they come out and start doing their own commentary. And it's the Bill and buddy show, and it's just this. Phenomenal thing buddy was a phenomenal talent. And like you said his own worst enemy. But that's like a great example of somebody who I think should have been a lot bigger than he was. Put my head. How do you feel obviously? And this is not not looking for you to bury. But what do you feel when you think about Vince McMahon and all that he accomplished because now I mean, you are the Vincent man of aid, e w in a way, Vince McMahon's, one of my all time idols in terms of building a brand, and, you know, sustaining a great company and some of the greatest matches and stories of all time have been in the world wrestling federation and world wrestling entertainment, world wide wrestling federation. So yeah lifelong fan of of their product. So that's a crazy to think and say like that now you're at war with him. I don't think that's the case. Dammit. I was laughing when we did the the rally in Jacksonville. And I was because it was so crazy. I'm sure it was an coincidence that wasn't that smackdown. Happened to be literally across the parking lot. When everyone got back from Japan. It was like January eighth. There was like a couple of days after the show. And it was a quickest I could get everybody back is like, you No, know. I didn't know everyone wasn't gonna be on New Year's dash. So they made a lot of sense for to launch such a great coincidence. Then because when all pyro was going off at the end of my presentation, I was howling. Because I know I know Vince is like it would just stop those fireworks. Trying to meeting here we spent a lot of money on that. And it was worth it. Hey, talking about started off with a bang. That's one thing. Jacksonville was a huge thing today at MGM was a huge thing. So we're definitely starting off on the right foot for. Sure. Absolutely. I mean, look that's what I was talking about when I say like bringing the production values, and you know, this quality of entertainment back to this level of wrestling because. Yeah, there are a couple of wrestling shows out there with very very good production values in raw and smackdown. But I think we're going to offer something very different than what they offer a very different kind of product. That's going to look in it, you know, visually in my opinion as good or better in a lot of ways. But for. The kind of wrestling fan. We're trying to attract kind of person that cares about, you know, the competition the quality of the work and the winner and the loser then. Yeah, I think this'll be really the best wrestling television show ever. It's very exciting time for for for wrestling fans and for the rest of themselves, including myself, and I'm excited, man. And like I said, it's a very honor to talk to you, especially when you came to the Lulu temple. Thanks. I don't even know what city that's in. I was like a bus ride. It was that sounds right plummeted -chusetts or something. Right. It was a it was a bus ride was a little bit of a bus ride. But it was fun. They had like tapes, and you know sodas, so hey tapes the sodas baby. Tony. Thanks, man. I'm looking forward to a long relationship working with you. Thank you very much. Chris. This has been great. Thank you for having me. All right. Thanks to my new boss. The founder and creator of all elite wrestling Tony Kahn for taking the time to run through the story. With me. We got a killer roster. Some amazing people working behind the scenes exciting. Once again, I can't believe double or nothing Las Vegas Memorial Day weekend may twenty fifth at the GM arena. We sold it out baby sold out in less than five minutes. So we actually going to have more confirmation on that on Friday. We'll get the exact time. Hope you got your tickets. So in may with that comes along star cat, star Cade SUNY and. Oh, you star. K is the paper. Comes along star cast and men everyone's going nuts. When of return when was September, you just did one. So the follow up to that is going to be huge, great content. There. Great interview shows got to like live for Matt and were pushing to have the court podcast since bringing the tower city a part of this star cast. So it's going to be huge. We need you guys to go out there and hit up Twitter Instagram, you know, hit up the star cast the main pages, and let them know that you wanna see the corner podcast on there. 'cause it's not just us pushing it from this end again, this is all of our show. So you guys tell them as well. Push that narrative out there every week you guys gonna see me hit them up like a man, it's time to make it happen because. Yeah, it's a great platform. But we also think we bring something different to that platform. And it's important. For all forces to be hurt. So. Yeah. Fill in the blanks one. When I told you guys that I knew something about this A W thing that was it. I knew that star cast in Dublin nothing was going to be in Vegas from warm day weekend back in December well, eight December couple of weeks to a wrestle kingdom. So that was the thing that I knew so I was keenly aware of what was going to happen. The only thing that was up for debate was the location, whether it'd be t mobile Mandalay bay or the MGM and that was due to the Golden Knights play offs just trying to figure out where's the best place. I've star cast. So that's one. So I was the head of the curve on that couldn't tell you guys. Sorry. Can't give up almost all the time. But I knew to. Yes, if anybody had attended or watch star cast last year, the one thing that you will notice is that it lacked melanin there were no people of color who had podcast. It's star cast. We're looking to change that. And it's very important because pro wrestling fans are not old hick. White guys there are a lot of black folks. Mexicans Puerto Ricans Dominicans people of color, love pro wrestling. And I think it's very important for us to have a presence. There wasn't there last year. I don't, you know, some people claim that they did it on purpose, and they didn't really pay attention. You know, even though cheap. Eat is a big pockets of kind of surprised weren't invited stack. I Greg big black, dude. Lawyer from New York big wrestling, he wasn't there. Greg takes more, Greg. I love Greg. But he's a WW Mark. So it is what it is..
