"Off of, okay, I'm at my limit and he's crossed over at some and on this day, he never got over his limit. He and so I think that this is this year for everybody, has been a major learning opportunity. How do you manage this car? How do you put this car on the edge of grip? How do you bring it back when you lose it? And I think a guy like Kyle Larson, he will be a favor. When we start, Daytona 500 comes around for next year. He is certainly on my list of a favor to win the Jamie. So listen, what's that? Is that a second win? Third win. So let's look at this. Okay, so Kyle Larson has won three races, has put Hendrick motor sports in a position to win. The owners, we were talking about this earlier, which is just a bizarre thing. But yeah, to win to win the owner saying, okay, so so many things like that. It's not a bad year, dude. We're just comparing it to Kyle Larson from last year. Right. So now we're doing now we're doing the Kyle Larson, what we always did with Jimmie Johnson. We're comparing to himself. When you compare him to the rest of the field, it's not been a terrible year for colors. And there's about 26 other guys that would take that year. You know what I mean? That are out there racing right now. When you start looking at it. So that's one thing we have to kind of temper ourselves sometimes when we go down this road. But I'm going to speak to something that Jeff said, Chastain after the race. When I think Kim asking, after everything he's been through this year with all the accidents and everything, was he a different driver now. And his answer was, I would hope I was a different driver 'cause I tried to learn every race. I tried to learn something and go forward. And that's what Jeff is saying, even when you get to the Kyle Larson level, you never stop learning. You never stop trying to be better. You never stop taking from some other driver. I see what he's doing. I'm going to do that next time. And we've seen that from Ross Chastain in the last two weeks. Yes. And the battling for the lead, not stepping over his bounds, not getting himself in trouble, leaving there with good points. Like, yes, could he have potentially one of those races? It would have been a, it would have been a Hail Mary, but he didn't put himself in that position. Listen, if you can win a race, you got to go do what you got to do to win it. Especially this time of year, but either one of those would have been a big push for the big suggestion and instead he came out with two good finishes last two weeks in a row. So now he goes to homestead, not safe, but in a much better state. And much better place. That's right. Yeah. Even a champion like Larsen learns from, I mean, he makes that mistake that takes him out of championship contention, doesn't make any mistakes yesterday. Now his team essentially is in that championship round and I think Josh on the phone wants to ask about the Kyle Larson team and what that win meant to them. Josh, welcome to NASCAR America by rounds. Thank you, gentlemen. And good afternoon, good evening. Thanks for all the fans watching on TV. My good question has to do with his diamond and performance and what happened last week with bubba Wallace. We all know that marston's been good at homestead, but he never really sealed the deal till yesterday, but based upon what had happened last week. Do you guys think it'd be safe to say this is truth indication against Bubba Wallace or what he did at Vegas? Also, the I'm with you, Kyle, and teddy for what you had said last week. I think you Bubba Wallace should have been parked for not just race yesterday, but for the rest of the season as well. All right, well, I think we're going to spin this a different way, Josh, and that I think we've moved past the bubble Wallace conversation. So I want to talk more about Josh essen. In terms of it being vindication for the 5 team, I'd like to spin this forward about what it means from the owner's championship, because again, by virtue of getting this victory, Kyle Larson's team, now we race for the owner's championship and Kyle Larson actually talked about this after his victory at Homestead Miami Speedway and let's hear what he had to say about that. But yeah, happy for our team. And we get to go race for an owner's title in Phoenix in a couple of weeks. So we're still technically not out of it. I

"And that essentially <Speech_Male> mitigated the fact <Speech_Male> that he crashes <Speech_Male> while running second late <Speech_Male> in the race. <SpeakerChange> So, <Speech_Male> you know, <Speech_Male> you don't want to harp on mistakes <Speech_Male> because we all make <Speech_Music_Male> them, but <Speech_Music_Male> these aren't mistakes you can make <Speech_Music_Male> and expect to race for a championship. <Speech_Music_Male> Kyle <Speech_Music_Male> Larson said it about his performance <Speech_Music_Male> at the rover. <Speech_Music_Male> I <Speech_Music_Male> actually talked to him some <Speech_Music_Male> more this weekend about it. He <Speech_Male> was crushed about where <Speech_Male> he put his team in and the <Speech_Male> closing laps of the robo, <Speech_Male> the same thing for <Speech_Male> Ryan Blaney. He's a great race <Speech_Male> car driver had tons of <Speech_Music_Male> speed, did all <Speech_Music_Male> the right things, but <Speech_Music_Male> that's how <Speech_Music_Male> quick it can <Speech_Music_Male> turn around on you <Speech_Male> and that <Speech_Male> is a 20 ish point <Speech_Male> mistake he's 11 points <Speech_Music_Male> behind. I mean, you can <Speech_Music_Male> do the math from here. <Speech_Music_Male> <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Music_Male> It is clearly a mistake <Speech_Music_Male> including wrestling with <Speech_Music_Male> shoulders, but I think it exhibits <Speech_Music_Male> how difficult this <Speech_Male> car is to drive. You <Speech_Music_Male> got Ross Chastain. <Speech_Music_Male> Love it. Kyle <Speech_Music_Male> Larson, <Speech_Male> Ryan Blaney, <Speech_Male> all making mistakes <Speech_Male> in positions <Speech_Male> where they didn't need to <Silence> make them. <Speech_Male> If they were running <Speech_Male> 18th <Speech_Male> on the <Speech_Male> last stage <Speech_Male> of the last <Speech_Male> race here. <Speech_Male> If they were running <Speech_Male> 18th <Speech_Male> on the <Speech_Male> last stage <Speech_Male> of the last <Speech_Male> race of the <Speech_Male> round and they made those <Speech_Male> mistakes, you can see <Speech_Male> it, but they were all having <Speech_Male> good enough <Speech_Male> days and all of <Speech_Male> them made <Speech_Male> mistakes. And <Speech_Male> I just think it shows <Speech_Male> you how hard this car <Speech_Male> is to drive. And how unpredictable <Speech_Male> it is <Speech_Male> and understanding that <Speech_Male> grip level, <Speech_Male> and once it starts <Speech_Male> around, man, it's <Speech_Male> hard to catch. <Speech_Male> And it's just, <Speech_Male> I'm impressed. <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> You're right. <Speech_Male> They should not, they <Speech_Male> can not make those <Speech_Male> mistakes. <Speech_Male> I'm impressed that <Speech_Male> it's easy <Speech_Male> enough to make <SpeakerChange> those mistakes. <Speech_Male> Yeah, that's what we <Speech_Male> want. Someone <Speech_Male> has to lose. <Speech_Music_Male> Everybody can't win. We <Speech_Music_Male> want to <Speech_Male> win. That's what we <Speech_Male> want as competitors. Want the <Speech_Male> car to be hard to drive. <Speech_Male> We want the <Speech_Male> best in the world to be on <Speech_Male> the edge of out of control. <Speech_Male> A guy who was <Speech_Male> on the edge of control stage <Speech_Male> one chase Briscoe, <Speech_Male> no <Speech_Male> stage point, he thinks he's <Speech_Male> got his engine going <Speech_Male> south in <Speech_Male> the first 50 laps. And <Speech_Male> he comes back and just <Speech_Male> like Texas, he gets a top <Speech_Male> 5 again in <SpeakerChange> Vegas. All right, <Speech_Male> so good or bad, which we <Speech_Music_Male> want to start with, <Speech_Music_Male> because I can start with the <Speech_Music_Male> good, a great recovery. <Speech_Male> Amazing recovery. <Speech_Male> Kept themselves into only <Speech_Music_Male> -9 below <Speech_Music_Male> the cut line. <Speech_Music_Male> The good, <Speech_Music_Male> four <Speech_Music_Male> top tens in a row, a <Speech_Male>

"The rest of the playoff drivers in the field at Las Vegas Motor Speedway will go through the field when we come back on NASCAR America motor mounts. We fully believe that we could hold them off and win the race tires we had. Joey did a good job of getting through the field. I hope I'm racing that guy for a really long time and like we've been saying all year this is the arrival of track Allison. I wouldn't want to be doing it with anybody else. In the ball game, one of the more I can taste it there for a little bit and that's the frustrating thing. So yeah, I still got a shot. I feel like home says my best race tracks, so looking forward to getting down there. Yeah, I just need to be a little faster. Honestly, you know, I think that the competitions set up. I mean, that's the only thing I can kind of equate, but in the end, you're gonna need to execute not making a mistake. And I something that so far in the playoffs, we've done a pretty good job. Ultimately, I just struggled all day with kind of the same thing. We're just kind of bouncing. Hate that we got loose there under the 12 like that. That's definitely my attention. I just kinda, I couldn't get it on the bottom all day. So I was put in that position and could make it work, but ultimately just kind of a struggle of a day. So we just gotta go to work for homestead and try to try to get a little bit better. Yeah, just added a really bad job all weekend, so just, you know, not driving the car like it needs to be driven and not being able to give good information to fix it. So I just all around poor effort on my behalf and when you, when you perform that poorly, you get full results. That's how it works. You're not plus 17, how good will that be going to homestead? Well, I got to do a lot better job. Driving the vehicle to have a chance for it to even matter. So at least my concerns right now. Great work there by Parker Kligerman Dave burns getting the thoughts of all the playoff drivers also great work earlier in the show, Marty Snyder talking to Bubba Wallace and Kyle Larson and Joe Logano as well. "Is exactly why everybody should watch. Because someone was so mad that they went down and that doesn't make it okay. It doesn't mean he shouldn't penalize, but that's raw emotion. I mean, that's what makes sports great, and we're all humans. We all are fully imperfect. And this is an opportunity for bubba to come out stronger. This is not the end of the Wallace's career. This is a blip on the radar. He made a major mistake. He's got to get penalized for it. He's got to learn from it. He unfortunately for him is going to teach others what not to do. And he will come out of it better, if he chooses to. So, yes, it's not an indictment on bubba's a bad guy. He made a bad decision. And we've all made bad decisions, the difference is he made it and put someone in jeopardy of being injured at a time when we do have injured drivers. And, you know, if he was, if he was, if he was Brad Keselowski, and Carl Edwards, he'd be getting probation. Right. But we don't live there anymore. That's a different time. Well, and two more things we haven't even touched on yet in terms of the consequences here. And yes, he puts Kyle Larson the wall. It's not just Kyle Larson, but that car, the 5, we still alive for the team owners championship. That heavily damages their chances now of making the championship war. And then we haven't even talked about the third car involved. Christopher Bell, the winner of the roval who comes into the round of 8 with all this momentum, he's now last in the points among the 8 playoff drivers, 23 points below the cut line. He's put a Toyota Bubba Wallace to try to drive her as part of Toyota teammate running for the championship in a hole here. But the only issue that might be is with Toyota. The one answer I didn't love about the Wallace was sports. Because he's right, right? Because okay, William Byron got penalized

"Me. And I don't lift, so I know I'm kind of new to run up front, but I don't lift, so I wasn't even in a spot to lift and he never lifted either and now we're junk, so just a piss poor move on his execution. The message you wanted to send to Kyle by going up to him after the incident. He knows he knows that what he did was wrong. He wanted a question when I was doing he never cleared me. There's always unintended consequences when something like this happens. Christopher Bell was a part of that clearly a Toyota teammate and a playoff driver. Your reaction to that. Sports. All right, so obviously he said he said situation here. Kyle Larson clearly feels as if bubble Wallace was retaliating for Kyle Larson kind of squeezing him up in the wall. Bubba Wallace said, no, my steering wasn't working. It showed no remorse about what happened. Your reactions to this. Well, I can't prove that the steering was working or not, but I can prove that the brakes weren't in the throttle or he went right back to wide open throttle. We saw it on the telemetry that when he comes off the wall, he goes back wide open throttle, so he can claim what he wants about the steering. I can't refute that. I don't have the date in front of me, but I did have the data of the throttle and if you're steering wasn't working, as many race car drivers as I've seen rec, usually they don't go to the throttle. Normally we go to the brakes. So that's the biggest issue I have. I do believe it was absolutely intentional. I think right here he's mad. He sees the 5 cars still in recent shape and probably looks like it's going to continue. I think he loses his cool and he hooks the 5 and he sends it into the outside wall. There's just no place for it. I'm sorry. I can't get my mind around it where at a 180 mile an hour plus racetrack and a car that has, you know, trying to be improved upon in the safety situation. We have two drivers out. Currently with concussions, one is bubble walls teammate. The other one is Kyle Larson's team in. I think there's so much context around this that this is going to be judged and should be judged in its current situation, which is not what it was a year ago or 5 years ago or ten years ago. People are going to say, well, this happened and this happened and it happened in this series. I'm not okay with it. Like we're moving forward. You can't hook the guy on the right rear. Then you get out of your car and you walk across the apron. That's clearly in the rule book. You're not allowed to leave your car without getting into a medical vehicle. I have a problem with that. And then refusing the official as he storms across the grass is kind of like a third strike. Each in a different severity, but Jeff all three matter to me in the context of what we have going on. I mean, right here, he's walking away from the safety vehicle then down the apron and this is just, it's an unsafe situation for everyone. Yeah, listen, he clearly lost his cool. He was mad. And, you know, I think Kyle Larson is right. We've all done things we wish you had to do. But you just can't do it. You just can not hook a guy on the right rear, and a mile and a half at that speed. It's just an unacceptable move. And, you know, bubba has proven this year that he is capable race car driver. He was running well there, but this is

"The New York attorney general has gotten court authority to depose former president Trump, Ivanka Trump, Donald Trump Jr.. Now the last two will be matter of fact. There's not that it's hell. The accountants withdrew their bank statements. If you think that the Trump kids or the president looked at the bank statements, okay, you can believe that. There's no evidence of that. I'm not sure what the book show, I don't know if they're cooked. I don't know if they borrowed money against fake assets. I don't know any of that stuff. Neither do you. I could be federal judge dick Leon, really one of the better litigators I ever saw work. I could be, I could be dick Hauser, but you'd have to get him off the golf course. And he doesn't do that anymore. Basically, at a restaurant, at home or in a golf course. And I get the best lawyer in the world. I get Stephen Larson in LA. That's the guy I'm calling whenever I get in trouble. And say, you've got to do depo prep with former president Trump.

"Looked like at one time. He was going to be the guy to beat in this race and unfortunately, his worst run of the day came in that last segment of the race. I want to say this. As we speak to chase, do you remember a guy named Jeff Gordon? I remember championships and won a bunch of races and then all of a sudden he seemed to fall on a little bit harder times than everybody said, what's wrong with Jeff? And all you had to do was look at his teammate, Jimmy Johnson, who started winning and taking all those wins and winning all those removals and winning all those races. As we see this, you say what's happened to chase? Just look to Kyle Larson. Kyle Larson took up ten wins this year. Ten wins. So when you look at that a lot of times as Dale said, it comes from it's internal. It's there, but at least they know that they can go do it if they get in the right position. Well, certainly going to be something we're going to keep an eye on. And of course, you guys mentioned the next gen car is going to change the game for everybody. So we have no idea what to expect in 2022. Well, we promise Kyle Larson the champion when we come back. We will have Kyle Larson joining us here on NASCAR America motor mouse. Kyle Larson a year ago watch the race from North Carolina. Today he's a Cup Series champion. This is all you guys. Hey, you can already see the emotion. What it means to Kyle Larson. You better be crying boy. I see you. I see you. I'm so proud of you. I can not believe it. So cool, I can't. I can not believe it. What.

"I just don't believe you can be so fortunate to have good luck, great equipment, great people, you know. What if you have the best driver in the world and a crew chief who is trained by check and Alice, the guy who guided Jimmy all those championships. I think the best driver in the world, the best equipment of world can't win 5 in a row. I think it's the format, it's one race. It's so many things. I actually believe that one of the biggest travesties in this sport is that Jimmy Johnson wasn't pushed onto a higher pedestal for what he did for 5 in a row. And I was in a shop next to him trying to beat him every week and I didn't appreciate it, but every year I get more distant from that run, the more impressed I am at what he was able to do. He would not give Richard Petty his due and he was doing it. People did not give peers in this other sport to not give Dale Earnhardt. Pettit, what he was doing because you can't admit he's better. I think that's true, right? I don't want to sit, you know, I can't go to the tracks on race Jimmy Johnson said man, this is never going to be done again. But now that I'm not trying to do it, I don't believe. And listen, it doesn't have to be. You know, the guy lined up one ten races. Ten races in the championship. Good. I mean, it's a I haven't done enough research to say it's a top 5 or top 8, but it's up there for one of the best seasons ever. Yeah, let's be careful not to compare Kyle Larson to Jimmy Johnson or anybody else after one championship. Like let's get three or four and then we can start having this conversation. This don't get the car before the horse is no question about his talent, but let's go. Let's go there to do three more. And the reason I say that is because, you know, one thing that I loved about Jimmy is that today he's the same guy after championship one. Yeah. And I see those qualities in Kyle Larson, but I don't have a crystal. I can't predict. Who is he gonna be in 5 years? Who's gonna be inside me to go win 7 championship chips? We're talking a decade of racing. So who is he gonna be when he's near 40 years old? Yeah, I don't know. Let's just let him enjoy the first one. What have you done for me lately? All right, John, you're joining the show..

Can Joe Biden and Kamala Harris still call themselves the champions of women women's rights when they abandoned Afghanistan's women to the hands of the Taliban? The FBI has come up empty handed and had searched to prove the left January 6th insurrection narrative. What does that mean? With thousands of students forced to mask up as they return to school? Nancy Pelosi dines unmasked with billionaires in Napa, California and take just a moment to cast a vote. In my Twitter poll, you'll find a brand new question each and every night doesn't cost anything to vote, and you don't have to be registered. Kind of like American elections. Our Twitter poll question tonight. Will you take the fighter Covid vaccine now that it's been approved fully by the FDA, and in apparently record time, imagine that you have to announced this morning that it had granted full approval to the fighter bio in Tech coronavirus vaccine for those ages, 16 and older and boy, did they get it done quickly. I suspect politics may have played a role in that. So will you take it now that it's fully approved? The question can be found at Lars Larson show. Also at Lars Larson, calm and brought to you by a Mack a great conservative organization. Unlike a R P I wouldn't go within 10 ft of that group. Only 20% of you said No. And yet there are people saying, Yeah, we had to impeach Donald Trump for that speech he gave on January the sixth, but no impeaching. Joe Biden because he put 15,000 Americans in harm's way because we now have 6000 or so troops. Do you know one of the stories that amazed me the most this past weekend. There were some Americans who were stuck in a hotel. Now I want you to imagine this. The hotel is 200 metres. Think if I do my math right about 240 yards from the airport. And we send helicopters to pick them up and take them to the airport. And if you wonder They had to be taken by helicopter to cross 800 ft. From their hotel to the airport. That's just how dangerous this whole situation is. In any case, consider that And if you want to join the best conversation and talk journalism, your calls are welcome Every night of the week and.

"Was also a singer. Billy did you ever see his photography. I think it was like large women. I think was what i bought the book. He was so cool. I mean he's kind of a role model for me For a bunch of reasons one of them is that if he wanted to do something and it was going to ruffle feathers or break boundaries and paradigm. He just went ahead and did it. That book got him in huge trouble. As as you may remember if you were into it at the time because he was photographing women in settings clothings that are traditionally reserved for man within the traditional jewish religion and he got in huge trouble with that a couple of philanthropic organizations kicked him out or at least you know stopped having him sponsor them and still are stuff like that and he just went ahead and did it anyway. Because it's it's the art that he wanted to make. I also love how he several times. He was able to reinvent himself from scratch. And i told him that when i was talking to him and i remember he said well well i have to. I find it's it's just necessary in life you have to. You can't avoid it. You have to reinvent yourself at least three or four times. it's there's no avoid. That was really good wisdom to receive from someone that i really benefited from hearing. Someone say that yes. It sounds a lot like you how to reinvent myself. Yeah that i wanted to. That's for sure so when you do go on a tour. Is this like you do a package to you. Know like is it all like eighties and nineties bands. Get together or is it. How does information society to were. We've done a lot of shows a lot of a lot of other eighties axe recently With a bunch of times and the book of love think was it may not work for minimum. Pats remember we did a few shows with the cutting crew and wang chung but only parts of each of them and they were playing together and they they were trying to come up with. What would be the name for this combination of wang chung in the cutting crew and of course the one i want them to use was the wang cutting. But you know as funny as that sounds. They didn't go for it and I remember they eventually settled on but we did a few shows with them a lot of other bands like that but when we go to brazil it's pretty much just us. Yeah okay. Wow yeah like these package tours. Sometimes you you get like three or four songs to play at that usually how it work. That's more like a track show We don't do so many of those anymore. There've been a few free style reunion events in york city over the last ten years or so Where it's more like that. We do one or three songs but for the most part where either doing full concerts when it's just us or when we do the the package things it's between six and ten you were on tommy boy. Which did you feel like you fit in or no. We didn't That was the whole story quest. Is that why you don't fit in. How cool that's it. You didn't want to be like oh queen latifah digital underground. "Beginning of the episode and as a refresher here are the truth and one lakh number one. Harriet tubman is first trip. Back south was to rescue her brother's number two. Harriet tubman was not known as moses to the slave catchers like we see in the movie number three. After harriet escaped her husband john remarried a woman named caroline. Did you find out which one is ally. let's count it backwards and start with number three. After harriet escaped her husband john remarried a woman named caroline. That is true. As we learned from dr larson heriot escaped in the fall of eighteen. Forty nine and she was devastated. When she returned a couple years later and found out that john had moved on and married a woman named caroline. That brings us to number two. Harriet tubman was not known as moses to the slave catchers like we see in the movie that is also true and by that being true. Of course what i mean is that harriet tubman was not known as moses to the slave catchers. In fact as dr larson pointed out slave catchers didn't even have any idea who she was at that means number three is the lie. Harriet tubman is first trip. Back south was to rescue her brothers. The movie had to change the time line around a little bit. But dr larson clarified the timeline. For us harry escaped in the fall of eighteen forty nine and her first rescue was in eighteen fifty. She didn't rescue her brothers until a few years later in eighteen fifty. Four that just about wraps up our time together today before we go. The last thing i like to do. Each episode is to share. How much time and effort into creating this episode. My hope in sharing this information is to go beyond just my podcast. But hopefully you'll start to appreciate all the podcasts that you listen to for free just a little bit more. Of course i only have these stats for my own show. So with that said today's episode took a total of forty one hours to create as i always do. I want to make it clear that only my time for this one episode in other words. That forty-one hours does not include my guest time researching the subject matter. We talked about. It also does not include the time it takes for me to do. Podcasts related things. That are not a part of this one episode. For example the time it takes to maintain the based on a true story website Social media email newsletter. And all those other little things outside creating a single podcast episode that are still required to make a show overall all those things take time to set up and maintain and cost money in that goes beyond the things that are associated with this one episode. But they are things that are required. Because if i didn't do those things there wouldn't be any episodes of based on a true story at all in a nutshell. This podcast may be free to listen to but it is not free to create..

No it's time to set up our game to truth and a lie if near the show. Here's how it works. I'm about to say three things. Two of them are true and that means one of them is a lie. Are you ready okay here. They are number one. Harriet tubman first trip back south. What's to rescue her brother's number to harriet. Tubman was not known as moses to the slave catchers like we see and movie number three. After harry escaped her husband john remarried a woman named caroline. Got him okay. Now as you're listening to our story today your challenge is to find the two facts scattered somewhere throughout the episode and by a simple process of elimination. You'll be able to find out which one is ally. And of course we'll do a recap at the end of the episode to see how well you did all right now. "This is Lars Larson. Welcome back to the Lars Larson Show. It's a pleasure to be with you. You know, my dentist has reminded me for a couple of decades that You have to take good care of your teeth, and it's not just about your pretty smile. It's about making sure that you don't get things like heart disease, because that's one of the routes that some of that bacteria has to get inside your body. So I was kind of interested when I saw there's a medical study out there about a root for the covert 19 virus to get into your body. And it's because you don't take good care of your teeth. So I thought, Let's talk to the guy behind it. Dr. Sherman Malai, Um joins me now. Who's a dentist TVs written a study and I know it's like most scientific studies. It doesn't sound very penetrate herbal by the average person. The covert 19 pathway, a proposed aural vascular pulmonary root of SARS, cov to infection and the importance of oral health care measures. Doctor Welcome to the program and tell us about this is bad or aural hygiene, bad teeth, brushing one of the ways that people put themselves at greater risk. My Lord. Thanks for having me and I feel like this is such an important topic because it's something that no one even expected would even be possible that happen. So first of all. We think that we get cold it because it comes down our airway down our windpipe. Terrified trachea. You know that's not happening. What we're seeing is actually it's coming into our bloodstream first. Possibly so That's But the medical imaging is showing the CT scans are all showing is actually coming in down into the lungs in the area where the blood vessels are going into the lungs. This means Basically where the blood vessels come. They come from the mouth. So there's now we look at why you couldn't come from the mouth. We have a lot of saliva. That's where stars called the two.

"So i i love this song Spare word it does come up on my list so i won't talk about too much right here carson. Talk me about valentine's day. I love this one. Because i actually heard a version of this before the jonathan larson project i think it must have been from one of the library of congress recordings Because this was actually supposed to be in rent there is a version of its in rent and it fits nicely because we have christmas eve. We have halloween. We have a lot of emphasis. Valentine's day and it would have fit really nicely into the show and i would have loved to have seen how it got fleshed out for rant but did ultimately get cut it but i really love this because this is pulled from like a little mini show. That was called. The eagles of ronald reagan's america and again. I hate me some ronald reagan. Really hate me some ronald reagan disowns for that so Yes so there's actually three different versions of the song out there. I i see the drunken muslim project. Valentine's day where the boys are pretty much. Everyone is singing on this the five vocalist. There's a demo version from rent. There's a. I think it did appear in the workshop. Maybe the very first very first one. It was in pershing so it wasn't there so there is a recording that which is. I think it's mimi who's for every for maiming. Is going to be about her. Not being being with a guy. It's basically about a guy Meeting with earl and her liking the sale masochistic kinky version of sacks and that not really allowing her to have any kind of real emotional passionate like it was more rough sex versus love making which is my own mental version of of the difference And then there's a version that john larson did which is the demo version From the library of congress so there is three versions out there somewhere again. I'll talk about more when because it's on my list. It cannot not be on that list all right. So here's my last are mentioned And i hope it does not make anyone cry I will.

"M. M W truth. He's Lars Larson. Welcome back to Lars Larson. Don't want to give you a little update on what's going on in the Senate and unconstitutional trial. Private citizen Donald Trump. The Senate has now voted by a majority that the effort is constitutional. I still don't have to agree that it is. But six Republicans have joined the Democrats and the two independents to say that his constitutional Bill Cassidy from Louisiana senator had previously supported. Rand Paul in saying it's unconstitutional. He is now flipped. So is the usual group of suspects. Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, the sellout rhino, Mitt Romney from Utah, Ben Sasse of Nebraska and Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania, all voting that it was constitutional. I guess that's the good news for the Democrats. The bad news for the Democrats. He is. They're still 11 votes short of either convicting Donald Trump or about barring him from any further vote run for office, So we'll continue to follow what's going on on Capitol Hill. But I want to talk about a bill that's in the House of Representatives in Washington, D. C and it's raised the concerns of a lot of you have written to me and I'm aware of the bill. I'm just not aware of whether or not it's moving or or appears likely to move its house resolution. 1 27. It is a federal bill and what it it's written by representative Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas, who's kind of lunatic, but she's a Democrat from Texas. She would impose a system of licensing of firearms and ammunition and for the possession of any firearms or ammunition. It would impose a license to display an antique firearm in your home. A lot of other crazy things. Dr. John Lott joins me. He is the president of the Crime Prevention Research Center. I serve on the board of that center without compensation. So I have a bit of a dog in the fight. And John is the author of so many great books, including Gun Control myths. Doctor line. Welcome back to the program. And what should Americans know about this House resolution? 1 27. Thanks. Yeah, it's good to talk to you again after being in Washington. I could just say Can it confirmed all my worst fears about the government? But, uh, you know, I don't think this bill is going to be going in place. Are there concerns that one should have about registration? Yeah, but not through this bill. As far as I know, I just looked it up a little while ago. I don't think she has any co sponsors even on her bill. And, um, uh, but Mork concern is during the campaign. Uh Biden promised to go and try to classify. Many semiautomatic rifles. Aske last three weapons. I know you know what this is, but a classroom weapon is basically been things like machine guns. Requires that you have to register them requires that you have to have a $200 feet. And, uh, so they would essentially be able to go and set up a registration and licensing system for Semi automatic rifles. Whether they can do that will be something that without legislation will be something that we would have to be determined by the courts. But they'd also include not only semi automatic rifles, but they also want to include magazines that hold more than 10 rounds. Just like you have. Silencers are Classified is a class three weapon. They wanna classified large capacity magazines, uh, the same way and that would also require $200 for them. And by the way, John that's a $200 annual fee, is it not? Or is it a one time? One time? It's a one time fee, but I think what you're thinking about during the campaign, Uh Biden in Kamala Harris talked about making it an annual C. Well, and and one of the concerns I've got is if you make it a class three. I don't have any class Three firearms. I know some people who do and they tell me because they anticipate this that any time the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms which should be a convenient store, not a federal agency, but any time they want to. They can. They could call you up and say We want to come and inspect your class three weapons. They can come to your home if that's where you have them, and they're allowed to go in and check all your paperwork and all your weapons, And if it isn't 100% squared away, you've got big problems, so that's what they would put on somebody. One stone, just a simple semiautomatic rifle. Or already does and with this apply to guns that are already in private possession or would only apply to those sold after a certain day. The way they were talking about. They would apply it retroactively toe all guns that you have. I mean, that's basically the way it worked with machine guns. You weren't grandfathered in and so they're trying to use the same language that's already in the act there to apply to semi automatic rifles. The thing people have to understand is right now. It also takes about nine months or so, maybe even longer, sometimes to go through the process to get approved, and there's really no reason why I should take that long. It's just the way bureaucracies work. I assume if they're going to go and add all these things to the list of what's classified is a class three weapon. It would make it a lot longer process more than nine months, so you could imagine. You want to go on by, uh, semi automatic rifle that they would class by as a class three weapons. You know? Good luck. I mean, maybe maybe a year or more before you'd actually be able to get approval for it. Well, And does that mean in the meantime, you're in some kind of legal limbo, or do they say you have a certain amount of time Because we're talking about literally. I don't know the current number. But the Honore says about 25% of all rifles producing the U. S. R A R 15. Other groups have said, is closer to 50%. And about a decade ago, there were maybe three or four million of these in the United States. Can you imagine the bureaucracy it would take to create a registry and force all Americans to bring in literally millions of rifles to be registered with the federal government..

And this is, as I promised you yesterday, going to be an interesting week. It is Tuesday, and the polls have now closed in Georgia and the voting and perhaps even a little bit of cheating is already underway. We're gonna watch these results very, very closely, because you could imagine that the Georgia race is being followed closely, because, depending on the outcome, it means either the Democrats or the Republicans control the United States Senate. And it may in fact, be a great litmus test of what happened in the November 3rd election, the cheating and the irregularities if you want to use the diplomatic term for it, so we're going to be watching those results as they come in. We'll let you know as we see the numbers and of course, we'll be talking about it. Tomorrow and tomorrow. Of course, we've got the joint session of the House and Senate on Capitol Hill. It seems that Mike Pence may be there for part of the count. But it may be that Chuck Grassley senator from Iowa is going to be there as well. And it may be that America will actually hear a lot of the evidence that we've been promised about whether or not the election on November the third was actually a legitimate election or not. Welcome to the program. Glad to have you on board. What would Donald Trump's lower court appointees mean?
