A Breakdown Of Latinx Heavy Medal

"So i'm in the studio today with producer. Genie montalvo gene. So thought i wanna take you back to the latin grammys of twenty nineteen. What happened well. A bunch of things happened but relevant today. Yeah lars ulrich of metallica presented with the person of the year award. It's kind of like a lifetime. Achievement did not know. That's where you're going to go with this surprise but really you can see kind of losing it on the video but listen to him here. That's very funny to me for those who don't know who is. How would you describe his music. It's like top yet. Like pop rock but the area likes comey sunday at me but i had no idea he was a huge metallica fan. Wine is is a huge mental fan. And so we're a lot of people in latin america and that is what i'm going to be talking to you about today mysterious. I didn't know you were into metal finds story. Because i'm actually not. But i am surrounded by latino metal heads. My brother was into metal growing up my neighbors into metal and plays in a metal band. And what would life be like. It didn't marry someone who was also into metal much quieter. So speaking about my husband or nesto who you know as from peru. He was telling me the story the other day that got me thinking about this topic. It was about the time. When one of his favorite bands the british rockers. Iron maiden came to lima in two thousand nine. You have heard of iron. Maiden i've seen the sweatshirts when our media i came. I announce actually their visits lima. People started making plans to come to the show. People started coming from other cities. Even from equador people throw away from waiheke from keitel youth ecuadorian flex in the crowd

"Com. That's important because That's where you go to find. Uh, Answers to all the things I talk about links that kind of stuff, you know, after anything down Tech guy labs. Dot com. Copy protection gone Wild. Uh, blizzard that folks who do World of Warcraft has a regular convention every year, and they often bring in big name acts to perform at the convention. Of course, there's no conventions this year. So Bly's con the Blizzard conference was Online only, but they did bring in a big act, Metallica. Oh, yeah. Big big acts to perform, so they Metallica was in their studios. Down here in Marin County and performing And they streamed the whole thing on twitch. Which is that you know the online Game streaming platform. Which is pretty pretty awesome. Actually, I really enjoyed which only one problem. Metallica was playing their own music, You know, real music music licensed but to Metallica, and there's a certain irony in this because you may remember it was Metallica. Put bit warden out of business and get working. Sorry. Napster was looking at my bit word in London Napster out of business some years ago by suing the heck out of Lars Ulrich, the drummer just suit the heck, Adam. Shut him down for stealing their music. So here's Metallica. Playing Ah music, their own music on a twitch and twitch has a copy protection scheme to keep them out of trouble with the music labels if they recognize Streamer playing licensed music without license. They cover up the music. With sappy music, which is exactly what happened to Metallica. And what if I could play it? I have a license to play their music s so I could actually if I could, if I could find the I could find the original. I could show you what happened, which would be kind of funny. I don't know if I'm gonna be able to find the actual music. Interrupted as it turns out by Bye, Twitch. Let me see. I let's just play this and see what we get. Here's Metallica. Playing, you know, Metallic is pretty hard rock band. And they're really rock it out to this music. That is not need need. I say that it's not Metallica. It's kind of sad. You want to go to a Metallica.

"Because i don't think the guitar planes that quality on that album i liked that it was thicker sounding and heavier but the songs were not great. There wasn't much good stuff on the record. But no nikitas i think is one of those overrated vocalist and music history. I think it would be difficult for a really really good guitar player to come in and be a part of the red hot chili peppers because the rhythm section is so powerful and drowns out just about anything else around it so well i think my biggest gripe is not so much the ability that guitar player as it is it almost sounds like they intentionally tried to make the guitar. Sound his puny. Tiniest possible you know. The guitar is always sounds so weak on their records and almost like is flee the lars ulrich the red hot chili peppers where he goes any turn their guitars down to db you know. I don't know maybe it's just that flee. Maybe it's just that chad smith and flea together are so frigging powerful. That ace fraley would sell my garbage in the red hot chili peppers. You just can't stand next sidelines guys. I'd love to hear flea and chad smith aside project and do like hard rocker metal. That would be killer. I would love that a lot. 'cause i know they would. They would do some cool shit. Oh they got it in them all right. Could you imagine those guys doing like a thrash metal band. Yeah exactly like flea doing that. The pop- slap and shit like an thrash be like funk metal. I think it'd be awesome. How cool that be. they'd be like the suicidal tendencies. The infectious yeah. That's why i like robert trujillo. Because he's he's the guy that does he's basically like what it would be like a flea play that stuff. But i think overall looking back on this. I think we've done pretty well. I don't think there's anything to all -rageous on here and I think we covered a lot of good people. Is there plenty left. Oh yeah there's a lot left will like you said. Maybe you and i slide on over from here to do a little chris and aaron shown round out the top forty we can knock that out real quick and have a whole new episode up for you guys. Okay and well and if you're on paid go to patriot dot com slash desk gig. Sign up to get that and and there's I want to say so bad. But there's like a couple of picks on here that i'm like why the fuck didn't i picked them so that'll be fine. And obviously when you get this episode either on twitter on facebook or wherever leaving the comments section what we got right what you think we got wrong and what you would have picked. Yeah who did we leave out of the top twenty that you would put in. We wanna know leave it in the comments section. Let's get that conversation rolling over there on our facebook page because that's where it's happening at like us on our facebook page getting on conversation. We liked that a lot of fun..

"Start a revolution, or you know to turn anything upside down, or it was I. think we were going for something that was we've always had. The album title song titles. The covers everything sort of tie together. And we I think we were feeling that. We wanted to go board and Dutreuil that each thing. More their own entertaining. And we wanted an album sign the key much at a sort of visual. That really didn't have much to do song seven on the record or something, so we started getting an individual in as entities, and really like the image of Serano. That once..

"And then of course dime bag. And I gotta say this, and this is what I said after the after that death when you're at the rainbow room should have been Phil because Phil is the one who basically killed dime bay Daryl because he told his audience to go beat him up. And then his audience is so extreme. They think that I mean shoot him in the face of the shock. Oh, put, unfortunately, I will put the sort of games of thrones in like fantasy rules in there or have died by dime bag. Daryl wanted to live, what he'd have to do is it he'd have to properly defend himself, which means carrying a gun with him at all times on stage, he's playing the fricken guitar. Yeah. But if he was. A gun guitar. That would be fun. I mean, think about that all goes off when you're when you're, you know. When you're Haiti extension of your peanuts. Kill the whole front row, and that's what you get man. That's you get for fucking sit in front Roman, those guys would have died being like, that's the most medal concert I've ever been to. If I got shot by focusing LARs Ulrich drums. Then what would happen? Everybody would be very excited actually, probably increase sales. You'd probably find a way to you for it? All right. Well, it'd be x. man, I watched some kind of monster again. Oh, I did it. I was. I was I was cooking in a house and I just wanted to revisit it. And this is what I'll say, okay, listen, every group of every group of content creators have problems are and they had personal issues and they have to work it out. We're still people like, yes, James had feel does mo- his lawn. He does have his life. Billy Corgan is not a human goblin wrestling. Oh, a love that wrestling side to Billy Corgan. It's funny his that was the one like he did a very funny thing interview and Joe Rogan. It was. And he, you know, he was on the cover of cat fancy and all that. You know, if you're middle guts, James had filled your Metallica your metal folk into the extreme. Yeah, here is just no reason to pop that bubble and allow me to see the petulant boy fighting that they had to do with their theranos shit. It's bad for them and it's not some kind of monster. It is like some kind of like week, mid-forties males. I don't understand it's. I thought it was going to be a metal documentary now. I really was going in super jest, and then it turned into a therapy session like it was a horrible reality show on MTV or the surreal life or something. I'm VH one and I was idea. Honest kit, yes, it does hurt forever. But honestly, it's to real life. Isley's is trumped up with Metallica. You see more of the truly sad side and actually how hard it is to go into relationship maintenance and the thing that people actually should think about in terms of you get married and all that kind of shit. It's like if you're gonna go into couples therapy know that it's not the sexiest funnest thing that's ever been no one's ever there for good reasons, sever great times that has people go on to couples therapy. But if you need help go out there times, I think it's good to maybe do it when you don't need it. So you can check in. All right. Well, this is another story. This one comes to us from Delhi. Now, this story is absolutely insane. It's Larry older yet a its way intents. It's from July second. And I actually had texted Henry the footage footage of what happened here on lively. This article says it's a scene out of a horror movie the bodies of eleven members of Delhi family, ten of them hanging from an iron mesh in the ceiling inside one room..
