Ted simmons dude has maybe the single greatest voice of any human being that's ever lived. I felt like it was being bathed in dark chocolate. You know, a grounding force for one of the best teams of of that generation. And now, as I think about these kids that are coming into Major League baseball I don't know if they want to be that, you know, I mean, show you. Otani feels like he does want to be that so maybe he is the next one. This next iconic baseball player that will talk about for generations. The question is, How long can he do what he's doing? Great like Derek did what he did great. For forever right from day one for 20 years, right, so kids Shohei Otani going to be a sub three er, a pitcher, you know, high strikeout guy throwing gas and then also hitting 50 home runs this season. I do it for a couple of years. He's not doing it for 20, and he also came up later and he came up later. Exactly so it's just going to be hard to find someone. Who's that consistent? Yep, with one team. And ultimately, you gotta win. That's that's That's the part that makes this incredibly elusive. Yes, it might be 30 40 50 years before we see something like this, they will be better. There were better players at shortstop When Jeter was playing a rod was one of the no more Now who knows what was authentic with, you know, you know a rod obviously. Took the shortcut there. You know, these guys who played on one team for a long time and just went right to Cooperstown, DiMaggio mantle, Yogi Bear, er I mean, I could just listen to name all of them. But really after Mantle the next and really the only great Yankee was Reggie in terms of the national, right? Yes, I mean, Tino, beloved Polo Neil, but but I mean, national, But Reggie played on two other teams before he came to the Yankees and a team after it actually, two more after it went to the Angels, and he was with the Orioles in the age. Before that. We remember him as a Yankee because the Yankees are the biggest brandy played for there's no doubt now. The A's also won three championships and and and he broke his leg and he's heard with the Orioles. But My statement stands. Your statement is still the biggest brandy played.
