"Two people are under arrest in connection with the disappearance of a saint Mary's county man last seen in December. The remains of James naubert was found in both saint Mary's and Charles counties, Maryland state police say michelina Goodwin and Larry Murphy are charged with first and second degree murder and improper disposal of a human body. He shot and killed two of his then high school classmates in 2021. Now the fairfax county man has been given a maximum sentence. Last August, a jury convicted Zachary burckhardt of manslaughter in the killings of 17 year old Ursula sar and 16 year old Calvin van pelt. Burckhardt admitted during the trial, he fired in self defense, striking eleazar in the chest, and van pelt in the back after an argument. Police rushed to the Springfield Virginia home garage where they found the teens who both died. Commonwealth attorney for fairfax, Steve justino has said that burckhardt used a ghost gun capable of firing in fully automatic mode. I hope that the victim's families can begin the process of healing, but there are no winners here. What we have are two dead kids because of a ghost hunt. Burckhardt will serve 20 years in prison. "Johnson. Great day to play golf, but we wanted to stay inside yesterday and watch golf. Anyway, it was that good. You know, we talk a lot about that live tour, but the U.S. open reminded us PGA Tour lives and is live and will. You think about a mad Matt Fitzpatrick won the U.S. open 601 stroke better than will zalatoris and Scotty scheffler now Fitzpatrick is only 27. 25 and scheffler also 25, Matt ward sees editor of golf today. "Life. That you'll be shaving the top of your head and looking like a complete moron on TNT. Because we got the kings, who I have all the confidence, the world we can beat, and you have the predators. And I don't think you're gonna beat them. I really don't. And even if we lose, you're probably gonna lose, and even if we win and then you win, oh, oh, oh, that brings it back bring something up. So apparently I have no clue what I'm talking about, which isn't that much of a surprise if you've listened to this show. And Edmonton and Calgary would play each other. I still have no idea how the playoff seedings work. Because what if Colorado were to lose to Dallas? That's what makes no sense to me. How would then Calgary play Edmonton if Calgary would then be the top seed? That's what I don't understand. I think what happens is Dallas now joins the central as part of the central because that's where the wild card ended up going to play. So Nashville would then be in the Pacific. Wait, what? Yeah. Why would Nashville go to the Pacific? If Nashville is the 7th seed, they'll play Calgary, right? Correct. They get inserted into the Pacific. So they just stay in that bracket. And okay, all right. So we'll also dive into that a little bit after we talk about one of our first round matchups. Unless we're getting into LA Edmonton right now. No, no, no, not yet. We can't talk about the Masterson nominees. They were announced I believe Monday pal Kevin Hayes was Phillies nominations listeners. Each team nominates one player from the team and the complete list. Not the list. What's the criteria for it? It's about sportsmanship dedication to the game and often it's people who have been through some stuff possibly. I saw Tyler seguin with all his injuries and surgeries and nominee for Dallas. So yeah, I think it basically goes to guys or guys get recommended for it that have been through a lot and had somewhat of a challenging season or past few years based on health and a million other things really. Perseverance is the word that you're looking for. Yeah, yeah, not a big deal. And Maya culpa was the other one you were looking for. What did I say? Oh, I don't know if that's how you pronounce it, then I fucked it up, but back to the battle of Alberta potentially in the second round with the fact that they do not restack. They stay in the division. Well, just the fact that nobody has a clue. Yeah, we're going to go into some ideas we have for maybe possible playoff restructuring. But in terms of the master and the trophy, I just wanted to shout out Kevin Hayes quick, which everyone knows he's a great friend of the show. He's a really close friend of mine and it's just been such a tough year and losing Jimmy in the whole family. I'm thinking of them quite often and it's been so tough for them. And then also, as Kevin looked towards kind of trying to regain some sense of normalcy after losing his brother, right? Then he's dealing with all these injuries. He had all these different surgeries. And there was a time, actually, right after we recorded one time, we were on the phone for about a half hour and he kind of told me like, I don't know if I'm ever gonna feel right again. It was the point where one surgery didn't work. Another surgery didn't work, and so you've gone through this awful heartbreak of losing your best friend. And then you get back to hockey, which is something that possibly can take your mind off of what's going on with your family and in your personal life. And he feels like he's losing that. And so I just felt so I was kind of emotional after I talked to him because I love the kids so much. And thank God that he is now back to full health and his season since he's been healthy has been outstanding. He's been the best player on the flyers the last month and a half, two months. Even yesterday or Sunday, they beat the Pittsburgh. He got an assist on an empty netter, but he got it and just took off and kind of blew away from the guys who were kind of back checking on Pittsburgh. Were you able to tell like he's back? And so for him to be able to get through the shock of losing Jimmy and what everyone that Jimmy meant so much to has been dealing with, but nobody is close to him as Kevin, and then dealing with the possibility of thinking you'll never be the same on the ice. He is so worthy of winning this winning this award and no doubt at least being nominated. So I wanted to shout out a guy who's been through a lot more than probably most people in the NHL this season. Off the ice and on the ice and I'm really happy for him that even with a tough season in Philly, he's finally feeling healthy and strong and the same player that he once was. So here here, yeah. I just wanted to all of a sudden, buddy. Well said what a couple of the names I wanted to mention big Z for the island is Jack eagle for Vegas. Brian Boyle for the penguins, he won it back in 2018 as a devil. Gary price for the Canadians gets laugh Anaheim, Jack Johnson, for Colorado. Nicholas backstrom for the caps, Chris Russell and edmondson, kylo postal and buffalo marked all in Detroit. You know, a lot of vets who have managed to stick around for a while and they kind of recognize that. I kind of got a kick out of these ones though. A couple guys who made a trade request then had a real good year and instead of getting traded, they ended up landing on this list, Vladimir tarasenko and Jake de brusque. I mean, I guess it's a good thing because that means there were other guys in the team that didn't go through calamitous shit where they would have gotten nominated, you know? So I guess it's a little bit of adversity but I couldn't help but kind of chuckle like these guys is Ashford trade didn't get it at awesome years and I guess I think he's leading their team and scoring right now so I'd say definitely a bounce back year for him. No, absolutely so. I can pop in and check on a couple other teams. We did mention Dallas a little while back. They have, let's see, 87 87% chance to get in the playoffs. Obviously, if they take care of Vegas tonight, they should be all set. But I don't know if they're built for the long haul, just 14 goals, they'll last 7 games. That was crazy. The line of Robinson hints and pavelski have scored more than 45% of the star's goals this season. They have a 102 combined goals. The other 17 forwards on the team right now have 96 goals. That's insane. Like fucking a 102 goals for three guys and then 96 from the other 17. They closed, like I said, three games, Vegas, Arizona, Anaheim, so we'll see what happens there. Nashville, they picked up a point Sunday's OT loss to the wild. They're still in the number one wild caught spot 94 points. Money podcast has them at 98.2 to make the playoffs. They have Calgary, Colorado, Arizona, to close out the season and shout out to Roman josi. The first demand to hit 90 points in the season since ray bought way back in 1994 and just the 9th of the do it. And also a lot of props the Mac Duchenne became the first predator to score a 40 goals in a season as well. And then forsberg did. As well. I think that's got 40 yesterday for himself. Only 9 players in NHL history or defenseman excuse me have reached the 90 point plateau. Only 9, do you have the list with you? I don't have it with me. Oh, I think I became this. Bobby or Paul Coffey. Larry Murphy's probably on there. No, no. I would say no. I would say, I would say, all right, so we have 5, right? Or do we have 5 or 6? Well, she was the 9th devil. Named 5 or 6. I don't know. Holy fuck. Why can't we do anything? We have yossi reach or bork. Who else do we just say? I said zubov, I don't know if that's true, though. We already named 6. Now I can only name 40 said Larry Murphy. No, I said, I said, I don't think he did, but maybe he did. Coffee did I say coffee? Maybe not. Maybe we should just pull it up. What about Denny parson? Did he ever get 90 points? He did get 90 points in the year 1975, 1976. He had 98 points. Okay, that's 7. Oh, he actually also had 101 points in the 78 79 season. Maybe zubov is because he was on that team with leech, maybe Zhu, can you look up zubov? No, never did? No. Soup off got 89 89 and 93. What two defense are we missing guys? I don't know if you guys are gonna get this one. I don't know. I've never got 90. So we say mcinnis. Like there's no way we would get it, G?.

"I go, B, she seriously, we gotta do it. Yeah, I mean, I'm in a 20 year old kid. We do it again. And I watch him. Now he has to take a shit. So, you know what he does? He takes those nylons, he takes it. He wanted to make sure. He's running, but he's slow down a bit and he was just taking a ship. Puts his thing back on and he makes the 12 minutes. That's how great that's how obsessed with this guy was. And this wasn't even the test. He was just training for the time. He was like chelios before. Oh my God. What a story. Yeah. Like you're basically saying, can we just do it at 11? Like, why would you do it at 7? We got all two hours ago. You know, him, he's the veteran, right? What a great person. Well, him and Mark Howe. Lucky, Steve. What do you call it? SAP as I'm for practice. The rink. The stalls, yeah. So it's my third year, and I'm like, you know, I thought we had a day off. We had to come in practice. You know, you thought you'd think you'd make it, right? Your bitch and this is a joke. I'm bitching the trainers. I'm bitching to everybody. I sit down. Those guys tore a strip out of me. Who the fuck do you think you are? You guys are, you know, guys work 9 to 5. When your dad was a mechanic, what would he say? And I was sinking. And I went through practice, and I was like, man, you know, tail between my legs after practice. I remember taking a shower and beast says, hey, hurry up, we're going to lunch. What the lunch with him, Mark Howe, Dave pulling those guys, and we're just, we never mentioned one thing to me about that. It was there a way to say, hey buddy, we get it. But we had to wake you up a little bit. We had to wake you up. And those are the life lessons I got from those guys who knows. If I, you know, if I have the wrong guys, maybe I don't play as long as I did. I don't know, but those guys really helped my career. Did you see some of my hex doll snap shows over the years? Yeah, yeah. On and off the ice. He has his pads and he has his, he has everything perfectly, and if you touch, it's not big dressings back there. So you go by, I remember he touches patty, gets mad at you. He breaks those ESPN back then, those are cameras and after the game, he smashes, yeah, he was not taxi. What did you think as a flyers legend yourself? I mean, when Clark came up Bobby Clark came out this year and kind of blamed him for the drafts lately where we were a little surprised by that. Yeah, I'm a little surprised from clarkie, you know? Clark is a wonderful guy. He's, you know, ultimate he's a great GM for me too and a great player and a great friend. I was a little surprised. I don't know why he went that deep with it. Maybe there's some animosity there. I don't know. So I was a little surprised like you guys. Mark Hal. I mean, how many stories do you know about Gordy just from talking to him? Yeah, I mean, would you just pick his brain nonstop about that stuff? Yeah. Here's a Hall of Famer himself. Markel's and you can ask Wayne Gretzky and he'll say cock, but he'll put Mark Allen. One of the greatest defensemen he's ever played against. And one of great player like the best say that, you know how good Marcus. Who is this game like? Because I don't know much about him, like more all around, not just physical in his own way, you know, just body position, physical, quick strikes, physical, but he was a, if he wanted to cheat the game a little bit, he could be, you know, he could have scored more and stuff, but he was all around, unbelievable player. Yeah. Definitely a unreal Hall of Famer. And then February 92, you get traded at Pittsburgh. I mean, you talk about a team at Hall of Fame as Mario, Kevin Stevens, Ron Francis jager, Joey Mellon, Larry Murphy, Brian trotter, Scotty Bowman, coach, had you have been on a team with that much leadership. You must have hated them, too. Well, I went in there and the week before I broke a Troy lone his nose. So I walked in. I was thinking like the first took about a month to warm up to me, you know? But those guys were incredible and when I got there, they didn't like me when I obviously played against them, but so they'd won the cup the year before they had still this basically all star team and I remember you were telling me when you first got there, they ended up having a players only meeting. How long were you there for when they had the players? It was my second game and I haven't done anything wrong. Well they were just a little over 500 that team and they wanted to shake that's why they made this trade, right? And they wanted to get a little tougher and I remember we were in Calgary and they go, we have a team meeting with Craig Patrick and kind of like a room like this. Hotel room and there's like 24 guys in there and guys are like ripping Scotty Bowman. I sky this and you guys complaining and Craig Patrick was a great GM and he was listening and stuff and but the third guy in they go talk, what do you think? And I'm like I've just got here and I look around and I'm just thinking about you know I'm gonna tell you guys the truth. I said I look around I go, I see Hall of Famers and all stars in here. I said no offense and I love Scotty Goldman he's a jeers. I said a monkey could be behind. And coach you guys. That's what I said. That's a speech for the boys. We did say that. They all kind of laughed. But you weren't even joking. I wasn't joking. But Scott, no just right, he was on sky he was a genius behind the bed. He was one of the best bench coat bench minds ever ever seen. But we compromise, he didn't come to practice. That's really what was going on. Like, hey, Scotty, leave us alone. Yeah. Well, I just think they wanted to, yeah, it was a compromise. And Scotty was big enough to say, I no problem. But Scotty was a big reason why they won, but I'm just telling you that that was the speech. I was a two minute speech. They all laughed, and it was like, all right, let's go to school. We had a team meal. We're practices just a completely different pace given going from there to from Philly to Pittsburgh. Well, I'll tell you the difference. And when you played there, you guys played the offensive game. Like a speed game right. So in Philly was more dumping chase, corner work, get in front of the net, box out. Grind it, fight, whatever. So I get there and play with Marilyn and Kevin seems. I get it. I get over the balloon, I dump it in. I'm thinking Mario's screaming down the left, the right side to go get the puck and he just kind of looks on me. And so now it's my turn to go get it. I'll get it. So finally, the third time they do it, he goes, this isn't Philly buddy. We don't dump pucks in. We hold on to pucks. We make place. So I kind of, that was my lesson. Okay, you're right, I got to start making more plays. If I want to play on that line, you better start making some plays. Because I was programmed to mostly dump the pot. Yeah, that was your game. That was hard to do that. Yeah. And then at that point, what's like? Because you can't really pull the stuff that I guess he was pulling on later with the rangers when he's doing his own drills during team meetings because lemieux was the alpha, but was it still kind of yarn or Jaeger on his own in his own world then? Yeah, yax was like, he was a young kid and he's living with his parents, right? Everyone's parents. You know the story, they had a birthday party for him. This sports car. They had a thousand people. And we had a lot of married guys. They didn't go, I went, and I just got to trade there. And there was like 990 year olds. And I'm like 28 9 years. I'm hanging out with her 20 year old, 21 year old. And yeah, it's like, how did they get that many girls at this bar? I'm telling you. He was the man back then. Oh yeah. That was. Before Tinder and all these apps were created. Well, you didn't need tender. Did you guys give it to him about a salad or was everyone kind of? Yeah, you can do a little jealous then. You know what? The best thing that Craig Patrick did he's got Yuri hard Dina, a fellow check because before he was kind of reclusive, you know, he did smile..

"You guys out. I would love to. A huge thanks to my boy gag, Sam gagne, what a career he's had. We really appreciate him coming on. It was a great talk and look forward to catching up with him again once he retires. He's probably a couple more things he can mention to us, but I want to remind everyone that that interview was brought to you by masterworks. Did you know that a Wayne Gretzky rookie card sold for over a $1 million? Imagine finding that card in a pack of gum and then selling it for 1 million bucks 30 years later, it's nuts. But there are actually platforms that let you invest and collectibles like that one. Some do trading cards, wine, and even cars. But there's one that's picking up steam like no other masterworks. This platform lets you invest in paintings by Warhol, Monet and Picasso without spending millions. Early investors got a new IRR of 30% in 2020 and 2021 from the sale of two paintings with results like that, no wonder why over 300,000 people have signed up. If you want to join this art investing movement, log on to masterworks dot art slash chiclets. That's masterworks thought art slash chiclets. See important to disclosures at masterworks dot IO disclaimer. But check it out, masterworks, and I want to mention about the Detroit red wings and one of the guys we talked to gags about Maurice cider. First thing he did against the rangers that impressed me was truck stick Chris kreider. Kreider went to hit him in the corner and he pretended like he didn't see him coming and Peter forsberg style rocked him with a cold shoulder reverse hit and craters are big boy you do not see him get hit and tossed around the way cider did that often. The other thing cider did this past week is he became the 8th fastest defenseman in the history of the NHL to get 30 assists. He's behind the names of lidstrom, Larry Murphy. This isn't an order mark how kill my car, but this guy is a future Norris trophy winner, Maurice site or I love his game and his past week with the hit and the assist Mark really kind of a grab my attention as his entire season has gone. So all right, what are we chatting about next? Also to what that penalty kill and clip of him and this is not a name I bring up, but I couldn't help but think of Bobby as we went down one and came back the other just ragging the puck all over the place killing a penalty. It's a kale macar. Hybrid. It should be a good career. Yeah, it should be good stuff. Well, next up, your guys boy, wit, your boy, particularly Sidney Crosby, scored his 500th NHL goal against who else, the Philadelphia flies. He's the 46th play to do so. The 18th guy to do it with one franchise, he stood as most goals off a Hank lundqvist, 24 off of him, 14 awful lot, 12 off broad door. The best part, maybe this was evgeny Malcolm Gino congratulating himself on cognitive assistance. He's like any tagged himself on Instagram. Absolutely hilarious. And of course, they put the list of everybody who's assisted on Sid's goals. Boy, what would you remember 12? I think I was number 12 with was it 17 assists? I had a hilarious chirp come out and me via Twitter, the guy said, I wonder how many of those were actually primary assists. My guess is 7. If I were to guess. And then he said, pretty pathetic. I'm kind of paraphrasing. He's like, pretty pathetic to talk about all you did was snap it around, tape the tape. If all you got was 17 assists. Yeah, but that's 12. That means it was used to going back to his guys. I was actually shocked for the short amount of time you played with him that you were still number 12. Yeah, I was snapping it around to him. And I think that being a part of that power play for, I mean, so we were rookies together. So it was on the power play then, but not always on the first unit. And then I got, say, two and a half years of just first power play time with gone char malkin Crosby Malone. There was different guys bugs. These times John leclerc was in front of the one year, but I was just collecting the easiest assist of all time. I mean, you shoot on net Sid berry's rebound, you give it the gondry past the snipes. It's an easy game playing with him. And the fact that he's done it this way, and he got 500 awesome celebration in the crowd. I saw his dad, I think it was mom was there, and then biz, remember Rizzo? I think he's works with pap prasan, but the same clip when Crosby's rookie year. He scored that amazing winner in the shootout against Montreal. It's on his all time caps. He went backhand shelf water bottle goes fine. It was so similar to the picture that night of the video that night of Sid's dad and Rizzo jumping up and down in the stands at the old Mellon arena. So it's been a wild ride and to get 500 is pretty special. I mean, he's been a Hall of Famer. We'll win. Everybody. For everybody for so many years, talked about how he haunted the Washington capital franchise. But it was just a distraction because he has haunted the Philadelphia fire franchise. And all that he's done over time and then for him to score his 500th and he waited because I purposely think he waited just to dump on the flyers in a two goal come from behind win against them and OTs. So just to take another massive shit on the Philadelphia flyers when they're at their lows of low, Sid weights to dump on them. And it's honestly like it's like somebody's right in the story of a 6 or 7 points against them one night. I remember at home..

"Whole buffalo goalie situation. They've used 6 goalies already. Michael Hauser was supposed to stop the other night. He had to go into the COVID protocol, but then Craig Anderson got healthy, so they started 40 year old Craig Anderson, the 6 different goalies they've used, but back to that hit. I mean, what's he thinking there, man? I love dirty goalies from the old school, but that was such a dangerous hit the way the guy was coming in so close to the boards. Yeah, and obviously bathers had not expecting it. The worst is when you see the skate blade get caught in the boards and then the way it twists and I thought he broke his ankle. I think that if goalie's come out of their crease and if they want to increase scoring, make them fair fucking game. Stay in your fucking net, just like lacrosse. You want to come out of your net and play the puck? I mean, they created the trapezoid area so they could play it and they didn't want them going to the corners because you'd see guys like broder or Mike Smith, basically a third defenseman and go back and grab it. Make a make them at least the above the goal line where if you put it below the goal line they can't go there. And in this situation, I think he was kind of like right near the goal line, but just a gutless move. I would have liked to have seen a bit of a dust up after that. You may think I'm exaggerating. I swear to God, I think that hit is up with Dale hunter on Thursday and claw them on Chris Draper. That was a fucking scumbag. Scumbag move by arundel. And his what he said after was actually such a joke because if that's I don't even know any random goalie in the league, took a rash, I'm just trying to figure somebody and says, they're like, oh, I was trying to give space to my defenseman, like, okay, possibly. Aaron Dell like two weeks before that skated 40 feet outside the zone in Nashville and ran somebody over. It's like this dude was blatantly. Did you see that clip is? No, I never saw that. Oh my God, you two of it right now. YouTube it right now, and two weeks later he does this to batherson, who's having this career year. He's on the four check. He's not even that close to the defenseman, and out of nowhere, a goalie who can't be hit in the game decides to bury a guy who has no clue it's coming and ruins his whole season. Maybe it's because he had in a high ankle sprain and that was the beginning of the with dogs end. Is the high ankle sprain? I never recovered. So I'm very sensitive to the fact, but are you fucking serious? A goaltender? You're sitting there and you just bury this guy for no reason? And when he said, I was just trying to create some space for my defenseman. It's like, no, you weren't dude because you'd already proven that you've been hitting guys this season. Go look at the clip I'm talking about. I'm pretty sure it was in Nashville. So granelli is gonna pull it up along with these other stats that he sent me over. Just a car. Oh, just a dirtbag hit. I feel bad for basket. Senators fans are some of the most ruthless online. So they've created this term getting sensed. And all of a sudden, Aaron Dale got put on waivers a few days later, so they were just all over them on the Twitter machine. Some of the other stats though I was going to ask you guys a question. Who are the other three guys who are the fastest defenseman to a hundred career assists? I mean, number four. No I'm gonna go Paul coffee. No, it's actually that's why I asked you guys because it's such a bizarre list. Larry Murphy, you might not get one name of the three guys before. Larry Murphy? Nope. What? Lidstrom? I mean, if I'm saying, if you're saying we might not get one name, I don't know what we should be here all night. Retired, great call. James played one 27. The next one Mark Howell with Hartford, April 1st, 1981, a 135 games and Stefan person. What? The islanders in March 22nd, 17 Jesus Christ, going back to the fight, going back to the medieval times. March 22nd, 1979 and that was in a 135 games also on the car did it January 30th, 2022 with a 140 games. So a lot of these names that you guys mentioned below. Mcinnis was next in line, Larry Murphy, Adam Fox, Quinn Hughes, Brian leech and then Phil housley, but really cool though you see Adam Fox Quinn Hughes and kit kell mccart, like three guys that are on a list with these types of names that are now defensive in the national hockey. So we're seeing a wave of this offensive defenseman where we're going to be seeing some very special things from guys from the back end for years to come. I know we got went back on the whole stat thing. Now, I would like to see this clip if you send it to the group chat. Yeah, we've been pretty pretty blessed with on that front. I know you just said that Dell did get waved. And the suspension obviously cost him a few bucks. And that's less money to invest in his future with. That's certainly right, all right. And that's why I'm here to talk to you guys again about all to. And I had this career in the NHL where I was lucky enough to make some money, but the entire time, right from the beginning, I thought about my future. I thought about putting money away, which is what everyone should do. And I know a lot of people may say they don't love how much money they're making at the time and they need most of what they're making to live while I'll do it. I do whatever whatever you can to save a little bit and that's where all tool comes in. There are a lot of options out there in terms of investing your money for.

"Early in games, minimize the and that's part of the thing that Mike Smith brings is the podcast. It's like a third defenseman out there. Teams play entirely differently against Mike Smith than they do against me. They soft chip and soft up against me go try to create some turnovers and they hard rim on Smith because he can knock pucks and he can transition. And Emma turns in off the rush team. So I would hazard a guess I'm almost certain that Dave had repeatedly spoken to me about being ready early in games and it was the last and the question was asked specific to the first goal against not in terms of Miko's overall performance. So if I'm given the coach a bit of a break on that, I just, I trust safe and I trust and report that he has with his players. And I believe that to be the case, I can tell you, when I've challenged them on stuff, like Evan boozer, play it more. He's been open to listen, doesn't necessarily mean steps my position as being the right one. But just the way he handles these things and diffuses things. I don't think that he's necessarily a guy that just puts gasoline on the fire. Yeah. You were always a guy that was into the defensive core that we would have and we'd be talking D and that was at the time he said, they got to play this Petri more. There's kids a player. And it sounds like now that's Boucher for you a little bit where it's like, hey, look, let's ride him a little bit more. Start giving him 23 minutes as opposed to what it's playing now 1718. Well, Ryan, he's at 21. Oh, good. Call it. Yeah, but Bouchard is an offensive defenseman. He should have played more last year. He reported in very good shape, frankly it was in better shape than Ethan bear was last season coming out when we got started up in January. And I think Jim play fair and Dave tippett shit out of him on the lineup and a regular basis. Now they had Adam Larson. They signed Tyson very led all defensemen and scarring. They still had bear. But I wouldn't have had a problem if they would have played all four right shots. Looking at the makeup of the orders defense. So that's me. I also think that, you know, they used to say, guys, the NHL is not a development league. Yes, it is. In a cap system, you have to have productivity from entry level players. And that means, like, the best coaches today teach. And they teach in a positive manner. They treat their players with respect and dignity from the beginning of the relationship. And that way they engender passion from them to get the most out of the players. And I would have had Bouchard playing last season. The minutes of play is fine. This guy has a chance to be an I'll tell you what he is for, I don't want to go too far back, but he's a bit like Larry Murphy. He's right shot, skilled, but at times it looks like he doesn't play if not for tensity and passion because he's got he's got a slow twitch because he doesn't panic under pressure. And sometimes that gets him into trouble. Yeah. But is it a given that this team makes a move or several moves at this point? I like to make a move at some stage. Everybody's focused on goaltender. We'll see what happens with Kane. Obviously, the league's got to make a ruling first. I think Hamilton's got a chance to get a Vander cane. I'm hearing there's a couple other teams that have entered the fray there. And why wouldn't they? Why wouldn't they take the chance on a short term deal? And you know what, if you're sitting there first second or third in a league, maybe you don't do that, but maybe if you like and Emmett needs to change the makeup of their forwards, they're too small in the bottom 6. And when you have those big horses like McDavid and dry settle down the middle, I'm a little old school. Like I grew up playing against Todd you and Martin already. You know, Todd you and the only guy ever to knock bob out in a fight. God rest assault Todd was a tough dude. He could shock him. He was an unbelievable player growing up. Like most of those guys were that morphed into sort of that enforce his role. But I'm from Western Canada. We watched Wayne Gretzky, be protected by Dave simek, and Martin was sorely in Kevin mcclelland. I still think you need a little bit of muscle, especially when you have top end guys like McDavid and dry settle. So I will look for the letters to build a bigger forward squad and maybe even add a little bit of size and defense as well. I mean, his goaltending up priority, do you think that definitely going to move for a goal? Are they going to try to see what happens with smaller or circling back to the question who starts? And that's a fair question. And it's hard to do. Like if you're Mark Andre florid, you waive your no movement close to come damaging right now. No, you're probably waiting to see what's my best chance to win at the trade deadline. Now what I'm telling you is I think the Pacific division's wide open and I don't think the west is anywhere near as good as east. So I think there's more opportunities to climb up the charts as a season goes on. I got to get your opinion on the press conference last week with I knew this was kind of the well it's funny because I talked about it right before you came on. And I said it's just been so long and there's been so many years of just bad teams and the same questions being asked in the same questions being answered. And you could tell me if I'm wrong, but it just seems like over time. It's just the reporters are sick of asking the questions and the players are sick of hearing it. We've had the thing about the evidence in media is it's a lot of the same guys for years and years and years, right? You're in a market and I'm a huge NCAA college football fan Ryan as you know. Not to answer up to you quick, quick. So it's Robin Brown, these around Matthews. He's sort of out of the mix, but march spector Jim Matheson has been covering the team for 45 years. Terry, Rashad..

"This is why I love what he said. Because we are paying tortorella to make headlines and to give takes. And he's on ESPN and he's saying things that get us talking and get the league talking, get the world talking. He's a complete moron for what he said and he's completely wrong, but I don't want any situation where we ask for takes and comments and opinions on the league and then guys give them and everyone screams and yells how stupid he is, right? So I did send him an anvil and envelope with anthrax. So heads up in your mailbox ever talk about Macbeth like that again. But he's giving a take that he truly believes is correct. And here's the thing, who am I to say anything? Because John toro has a Stanley Cup. He knocked off the Tampa Bay lightning in Columbus a few years back. He's done some special things in the game. And he knows what it takes to win in the playoffs. But if you think that Connor McDavid has to change his game, you're the craziest son of a bitch that's ever walked the planet because this guy, like I've said before, is the greatest hockey player of all time. You want him to change his game? What are you talking about? Do you know people say Steve eisenman changed his game and they won standing up? Steve eisenman had Sergei fedorov Nick Litt strom Larry Murphy, all the Russians, Constantine off Larry on off, Brendan Shanahan. Dude, Connor McDavid is an absolute genius on the ice. We need every other player to try to do anything remotely close to what Connor McDavid does. We don't need Conor McDavid doing what some grinder does. Now, yes, in the playoffs, is it harder to score? 100%. But why would he change his game? Okay, in the end, does he need to do a little bit more defensively? I guess you could ask that of anyone, right? Of anyone. Like, yeah, you gotta be a little bit more responsibly defensively. Dude, you have the whole game. You create chances every time you're on the ice. You're the fastest skater with the puck. The game's ever seen. Nothing about Connor McDavid's game is causing the oilers to not win the Stanley Cup. There's nothing does nothing to do with him. And the argument is, wait, you don't know shit. You were a plug, you were brutal. You went to the cup finals. You sat on the bench pretty much the whole time. Towards his Stanley Cup champion, he knows what it takes. You want to quote towards me saying when he's selling the world on ESPN for McDavid to shut up, what would he be saying if he was coaching the oilers? Holy shit, call a fuck about the honor. He's got fucking tripped in hot dog game. So enough with the shut up Connor. Dude, I have been. I watch every oilers game, as you know. If you follow me on Twitter, there's three penalties a game on, they don't call. And so if he was head coach, he'd be discussed. So you can say shut up. I don't even think he winds that much. If you look at Crosby's beginning of his career, he wind more than McDavid has. I just don't. Social media wasn't as big. Everything wasn't going as viral and happening fast. Now, I agree with you a 100%. He has nowhere near the personnel. This is the first. Is this the first year where they have a legitimate contender? And they still haven't just some people's opinion having addressed goaltending, right? Well, 5 on 5 they're struggling, but they are a contender this year. They are no question. 100% contender for the first time I would say since he's been an oiler. So now we can start judging. Now, based on the penalty aspect, there's been a big conversation online because you know when playoff starts all of a sudden they start calling the game a little bit looser. And we all know that and that's a fact, right? You get away with a little bit more cross checks to hear cross checks are there. So everybody found it weird how many he would normally draw and then the drop off when playoff came. I don't think he drew one penalty during his 8 playoff games. Sorry, did they get swept by Winnipeg? They got swept. In the first round, right? Yep. So I don't think they called one penalty there and then in the games leading up to playoffs. And even to start the season a little bit. Now even as a fan you're starting to notice it. So everyone's noticing it. Right. So that's what makes me wonder. Maybe he is complaining that much and refs are so sick of it and it's like, you know, maybe it's behind the scene under his breath where like refs are noticeably not calling penalties on them. And maybe there's a whole sense of like, he's so good, we can't, we can't help him out even more. You know what I mean? Do you think this is towards looking into all those comments about that? Or he's like, man, come play off time. It's just harder. It's a little bit tougher out there. If he's gonna keep complaining and whining and they're gonna keep complaining and wine, it's not gonna help him in the long run. So he's saying kind of shut up and just like learn how to play through it. That's his. That's his opinion on it. Tort saying shut up, the way he said it so funny because the guy just knows how to like piss people off and he's he's so truly like, what's the word when you he's just so authentic torque? He doesn't give a fuck what one person thinks..

"Only eisenman fed her off in Dutch rival way back in the day of headboard through 13 games in red wings history. This kid is on fucking fire most side, a goal and 9 assistant 13 games, bertuzzi, 9 goals already. He's 15 points in the league. And if they're goaltending tightens up a bit, this team's gonna make a run for the playoffs. And Marie cider's goal was in OT against buffalo, wasn't it? That was his first goal ever? Correct. Yeah, yeah. I will say I love both the young guys, but my favorite player on that team is bertuzzi. He is awesome. He's not walk darlene. He's got the rollerblades on lately. What's going on with aliens? He's on everything but roller looks like McDavid. He's got a mic off and stuff. Did you see that clip of my clothing? Yeah, it was darlene first. So darlene's are on the ice. I don't know who's go ahead, but I'm sorry. You were talking. No, no, I was just going to saber twosie. It doesn't look like he's going that fast, but he's just got those silky mitts where he just he's able to dangle guys. Like when you talk about speed, I would say he's probably average flight of foot. Yeah, I don't think he's by any means like a game breaker with his speed, but he's one of those guys that slippery smart. He's got the hockey IQ. Like Brad marchand's not the fastest player in the world. I think he might be a little quicker than bertuzzi, but when you're that smart and you're that skilled, you just get in areas to score. And he's also a gamer too, where he's blocking shots, he'll fight. He's an awesome player that they've found. And some people don't like him and we all know why he's the only unvaccinated player in the NHL doesn't bother me. Why? Doesn't bother Stevie fucking bong orman either because I've seen this guy get better and better and better now where 9 goals through, what is it? How many games? 8? Does he play? They're ten? He missed he missed one, I think, so you're both here with the red wings? What 9 goals 6 assists, yeah, 15 points, 5th and points. That was the number that jumped out of me. I mean, 15 points for this kid. I don't think a lot of people saw that. I know it's early in the season, but is he going to hang there oh yeah, either way he's contributing in a big way right now. I forget the name you said, I blocked out there for a second. You're talking about Raymond? No. Oh, no, so was I rambled on. So that's the 19th first round pick. I believe he was 6, 20, they got ramen at fourth, and the best part about everything for the red wings and looking at their team in the future is their pick this year. So I talked to a couple guys, I don't know if it's Simon or Simone, but Ed Vincent, he's a Swedish defenseman. 6 overall. He's a big guy. So they looked at they looked at Tampa. They look at the size of the blue line. You see surrogate have head men, you see all these guys, McDonald trucks. You win with size on the back end. And that's how they've really approached things and they got cider who obviously is already looking like a complete stud. This kid's playing in the Swedish league right now. He'll be over next year. They got Raymond. He's a quick, it looks like a pretty quick turnaround here in Detroit. So I think well what? You don't think they're that wrong a kid? Well, I don't think it's been quick. I think it's finally all coming together. I just don't think it's been quick. I think it's been a little longer. Okay, so let me ask you this next year playoffs or no playoffs. Well, I just said if they're golden and tightens up, I mean, Thomas Greece and the dog of it, they should be much better than what we've seen. They should make the players this year if the gold thing gets better. We're gonna mention the leafs next year last podcast so I figured I'd throw it right back at you. You know, what did you think Detroit makes playoffs at 50 years? No, no, no. This is a crazy. This is probably the craziest. I know you just mentioned a crazy status. This is from at NHL Adam K 2017 18. The coyote stopped the season O ten one. They claimed goalie Scott wedgwood on wave is in a wedgwood first game he gets the coyotes first win. Fast forward four years later, 21 22 of the coyote stopped the season O ten one. They claim Scott wedgwood off a wave is in wedgwood first game. He gets the coyotes, their first win. Like somebody tried to correct me on Twitter, but it was only one guy saying that the first time they got him was in a trade. Nonetheless still a wild status. That person was wrong. Fuck them. Here's an even crazier part. What are you guys? Okay, all right, well, I'll get back to the other point I was making. The head coach for both losing teams in that instance was Dave hacksaw. No. Yeah, he was a coach of the flyers at the time. And then he was coach of Seattle. Now mind you, they ended up scoring two goals in the first minute of that game and that unbelievable check kid who's been playing for the coyotes got yanked after the minute. The Joker, something. It was two to one of the three shots in gold color. Yeah, so they yanked them and that's why wedge would end up going in. So it was definitely a wild staff, but I figured I'd throw in the hacksaw comment too. No, absolutely. And then Arizona also played the flyers earlier in the week. It was the first time two players with Iron Man streaks of at least 900 games when head to head in a game. Kessel and yandel. Interesting. Yeah. First time ever in NHL history. So I don't goofy little history. Boy granelli slash quin Hughes has the 5th most selling pita bread tonight. The 5th most assist by a demon through his first 140 career games. That's like insane when you think of the history the NHL, you get Sergei zubov stuff on person who played for the island is back on the 70s. My cow, Larry Murphy and Al McGuinness. I mean, this kid is already among these names. We've been hearing them with seemingly for the last two, three years, we're just saying these kids names among these thousand. Are they all going to stay on the same trajectory or what? I don't see anything to think that Quinn Hughes is going to be slowing down because the way that he skates and we talked to Connor Garland, we interviewed him. I'm gonna be coming out in a couple weeks, but he says it's like the engine that drives that entire team. So I tweeted a video of him the other day, from a standstill. I think it was against Kevin Rooney on the rangers where everyone started chipping when he made the defensive play. But he had a bunch of steps on him and cues just chases him down easily by the far blue line, strips the pocket. So I think that you'd see an offensive quick guy that moves the park well and you don't even think about his defense. He competes in he's a prick to play against. So an awesome player that is not gonna slow down him. Just he closes on guys quick. Yeah. They don't have any time in space. And he's smart with his usage of time. He's not going out there trying to kill guys and separate them from the puck. He's just he's an intelligent mind with insane offensive ability where I think that defensive side of his game is just overlooked because of that offense. And that Vancouver power played like I said they might bail out special Sunday Night. They were unbelievable man with the talent level they have on that between pedersen, bestseller if they throw gallons out there. And he had a sequence. He didn't score on busy. Just how he's so low to the ground just dotting around like he's like a little like a jackrabbit like outrunning fucking something chased him out there. Awesome team to watch. A lot of fun. A lot of spin around. That's another reason why these point totals are going to continue as you mentioned. Just a core group of forwards. I think they have a pretty offensive pace of their game..

In in eighty nine ninety we lose the last game of the season the buffalo sabres in overtime we croup on the left point just throws one at the net. It hits chris. dahlquist are defensemen. The pants deflects in because we lost that game in overtime. We miss the playoffs. Obviously but you never really know when you throw that mixed together you never know right but when you talk about great teams you always have to talk about the foot soldiers right now and i consider myself one of those. I don't wanna talk about my myself. Phone we're talking about the guys like bobby and guys like troy. Loney guys even guys like jimmy. Pack like you only strong as your weakest link links because we wouldn't allow it in our locker. We had a great coach badger. Bob johnson was a perfect mess. But mario still going through all back problems. You know what i mean so we never really know but when we got to the playoffs and we win that first round against the new jersey. Y'all were frank. Peter angelos come in and make the saving game six come home and win game seven on shutout but that's the way the playoffs are. It doesn't matter who you are downright right. You got you win one series especially that first series. That's so tough to win. So once we won that force the first series away. We want you just kind of get that little bit belief the belief you win the next series against the washington capitals of the rangers. Whoever we played You solely search. Think like okay. Things are starting to line up here but you never wanna get ahead of yourself guys. We one game number six against the minnesota north stars in our first couple one thousand nine hundred eight to nothing. It wasn't till two minutes left in that game. That mark record sitting next to me and i looked and i was able to exhale at that moment. We're up eight nothing. I think our chances of winning are pretty good right. You'll be if a pillow. Fate fight breaks out in the background. You know i'm sorry. I just grab a pillow. Unfortunately join in days go field. The editor behind the curtain dot com up. Dave is virtual pillow fight. Really thing that would be. That'd be. I'm sure we can. We can we can travel. We could do a bt. Se pillow fight. You doing what redford week. One of the preseason before we get certain time about the steelers news. I wore this shirt on purpose and he. Those are live on youtube. See it's a classic pittsburgh penguins shirt. And that's an honor of mr mike lang. Who decided to retire. I know this is not a penguin show. But i'm a pittsburgh fan. That's what i tell people. When they asked me audio the steelers pittsburgh pirates was dealers. Guys gotta ask you real quick. What's your favorite. Mike lang saying after a goal brian will serve at the. I don't know if i have one. I mean proba- probably probably bingo game. Get in the fast lane grant either. That's right that's a. That's a good one well. Is there any call that stands out in your mind. Is there a specific game specific. Call that sticks out for you at all. I mean he did it for a long time. You know what actually there is. It was back in about ninety one when they were going for the first cup and he did a few of them. And i don't know whether it was kenny. Mayne or who it was on. Espn do the highlights. And they just played mike lang by salmon. Drink get his dog. One do like okay and then they do the next like i don't know what he's saying but it sounds pretty good interesting all these ridiculous things and they're just like making fun of them. I think they were making fun with him. Because you really couldn't make fun of him but calling a game you take all that stuff out of it hauling the game. He's fantastic to without that stuff. But that that's pittsburgh and that's what makes pittsburgh radio in pittsburgh sports. Great i go way. Back to lenny for terry with no doubt about it before you were even born jeff before. Yeah but i mean when he first came on was like nineteen seventy nine and that season. And i remember when i was young but that that was the greatest thing and then of course when i realized who myron was in the glory of myron and way back. I didn't experienced bob prints but all those guys. Mike lang is an absolute legend great voice. I just got scared. Because everybody's saying all these. Mike lang things on twitter. And i'm like oh no did he die. It's just like the first thing that goes into my but no. I mean absolutely thrilling. Like what he said about the team coming in with a gets off in and the old two niner you guys are in good shape with with them but now i mean it's not going to be the same just like losing touch. It's not going to be the same. It's still going to be good. They're gonna find their own magic to david by a you're a penguins fan and you watch the games. We'll do you remember any mike. Line calls of stand standout. I have to admit. I actually listened to more games that i watched just because during the regular season if i know a penguins games on i use my my my little app on my phone that tells me all the stations that play the steelers and i use it for the penguins so i listened to mike lang. You didn't do that many games this year. But i may try listen when he was absolutely love. My favorite. I would have to say although i said you know call me slick from turtle creek was what i put on your your twitter today but actually it's michael michael motorcycle that's got to be the best one but the most legendary one was back when brian was talking about it. When that one of those first cup runs was that you had to be here to believe it that moment. That was the one. That's the one that you'll you know everyone should remember. If you here mike lang it should be that call on that game. Supposedly as on twitter that he was asked what his favor call was. And i think it was the ninety one stanley cup because ninety one they'd be ninety two. I think they beat the blackhawks in the finals. And it was a great play. It was right off. A faceoff when francis wins it. Back larry murphy murphy with like the shot pass off the pad to lemieux and he has that great. Call save made rebound. Maria's guards new place just erupted. That was that was the one you know. It's always the save rebound score central brain call and then just there. Hey flat me silly sydney. I mean all these things that he did not run game. That crosby came back He was out for a really long time play against the islanders and he scored on a breakaway. And it was just. It gave you chills and the call was perfect. And oh my gosh. So congratulations to a great career. Who do you do. You compare mike lang to bill. Hillgrove or determined admiring kobe. Bryant would even. I don't compare had to the comparison. 'cause they have the sayings and they have the personality lake to me. It's more myron than bill. It would have to be myron because bill is a bill maher straightforward i mean. I'll never forget steeler maniac. Hey this plays those steeler maniac. He gets fired up and fun but he doesn't try to be he. He doesn't try to have catchphrases. He invents his own without trying has true david anything that i mean. It's he does play by play so it's kind of hard to compare them to myron because myron was the color commentary. You know what i'm saying. But i do understand what you mean by the kind of double yours and things like that. You always remember the various things they would say ma. So i get the very cranium. Iran code bonn's ords. But this. When when i'm mike lang no people forget that. His color commentary staggie eventually took over on the tv side during the play by play. It reminded me a major league when stagging would just chime in every now and then and that's when he took over as player like who's taken over a bike lines radio anyways all right. Let's talk about some steelers. we're gonna be previewing. The upcoming game against the philadelphia eagles jersey. And that's why we're on the air this tuesday and we're back with game and so there's a lot of news to talk about before we get to the actual game this thursday night and i want to get through everything there's been i mean my gosh. They might as well just call pittsburgh. The rumor mill. everything is just seemingly a rumor in. It's a hot take whether it's dj watts. Contract or joe haden which isn't a room. Earning more that was that was verified by his agent that he wants an extension. Kevin dotson an ongoing saga. That is his quest to get back to the first team and then james washington wanting a trade. He didn't wanna trade guys. What the heck is going on with pittsburgh in all these rumors. Is it just fans that are warning any type of news or there's some legitimacy to this stuff bryan anything hashtag gossip. Girls gone wild. That's seems like anything of wild like like gossip. Gossip girls in girls gone wild. I mean just like. I mean i mean. Dave had those videos back in the day on. Vhs girls gone wild talk.

"Because the other stories are a little lighter in nature and zeno char is returning while he did on wednesday night returned to boston now. The washington capitals. Try and put all the emotions aside after spending fourteen years with them prior to signing with a capital scores wanna stanley cup. In two thousand eleven. All kinds of success there. And you know it's very big always say okay so and so's returning to this particular place. It's pretty common place because you know everybody changes teams in sports the way they change laundry basically but this is a big one for sedano chara because its covid and he's now like going home to not just see old friends on the bruins his family's in boston because he left them there. He went to washington and He didn't want to uproot his kids so he's got his wife his eleven year old daughter. His twin sons who turned five on saturday. Didn't want to disrupt their lives. So he went off to washington by himself and so he is pumped to come back not just to see his bruins powell's but a more way more important reunion with his actual family. Yeah yeah it's. It's kind of like the tom brady story playing so many years in new england. And then why. Why would he go to another team right i. It always struck me as odd with him. Once you get a plane from over a dozen years steve for a team or ten years or what did you say. It was fourteen years with boston. It struck me as odd that he's okay. I'm outta here. And i wanna go to washington or to another team. I don't. I don't know how the deal but and And maybe that's what drives it. Maybe that what keeps him going. Because you're quite right. It's a case of okay. You've accomplished everything you need to accomplish. And year. What forty three or something like that. Just like tom brady. Why not walk off into the sunset but long before brady won a super bowl in tampa bay. It was char making the decision to keep his career going and signing on in washington probably felt like there was a cup to be one. They're still and yeah. I like you said it. Looks like he is going to if he keeps it rolling. If he gets through next season he's going to be the guy that's played the most games of any nhl defensemen in history. Now right now. The list is as you mentioned. Chris chelios it leads. It's sixteen fifty one fall by scott stevens at sixteen thirty five. Then larry murphy ray bork nicklas lidstrom and finally know chara at fifteen three. So he is If he plays this season and next he will be the all-time leader in games played and And and just such a physical specimen was that was chellios. This thing too. So committed to fitness craze. Char's like that too naturally strong and is not necessarily rely so much on blazing speed It just an amazing reach great strength great positioning and right that he can afford to lose a step because he's never been that fast to start with ya. You know. i thought maybe. A couple of guys. From the seventy larry robinson. Play a bunch of years with with in hawks like certainly with montreal boy. Now that you mentioned that that shocks me shocks one of these not in that top six. Yeah you played over twenty years anyway. What is going to say that stat where you bring that up. That games played we did. We interviewed kevin low right his. Who's induct guy going to be inducted into the hockey hall of fame. And then he received this order of canada in hockey. I think the actual title that he got recognize foreign is going to receive that. It's pretty. it's pretty cool. It's pretty lofty company. That he's with. But always steve those hall of fame inductions. Okay all of them. Even talking to kevin what stands out here pal. You know it's like well all of it. Six six cops and but but the staff. That's always in there. Steve is the amount of games played right and even brought that up. You know what. What's the highlight for you and longevity that i played that long that i've played that many he's like thirteen hundred games or speaking of defenseman. So you know. Don't don't underestimate this. This thing where guys you know play so long in the career stay healthy give it every night So it's a it's a big thing. Steve the amount of games they play in the nhl. That's part of what makes you great. If you're measuring out hockey hall of famers the harvey you're going to see. We have that discussion every time a guy comes along whose hasn't played that many. You've had some exceptions to the rule. Guys cam nealy or bobby orr. I haven't played law. Eric lindros to play a all right. Injuries feld them but If they if they were able to stay healthy wouldn't even be a discussion but Yeah that's that's that's part of it. It's part of Part of what makes you great and excellent. Like i look at a guy like austin matthews who You know he's now in his fifth season. I think and i i look at that guy. He the sky's the limit with that guy. In terms of individual glory and skill and point production goal production If he can stay healthy every year he seems to be dealing with something nagging and this year even he's already got a wrist. Injury is going to be back on wednesday night but Just one of those guys that seems to always be plagued by something but it's early and we all thought that of daniel alfredsson in the early days in A lot of people said. Wow man you gotta get rid of. The euro is here in ottawa and alfredsson. He's good and everything but he gets hurt all the time and he eventually got you know. Got some together and stayed healthy and had a great career and should be in the hall of fame but that detail for another day. Right this record. You're giving his defense been right. Yes correct gameplay crazy man. what what what. What an accomplishment. You're talking about hockey here. You know not ping pong right of how you know like the the game when you look at it. There's there's a video. Yesterday of mario lemieux scoring a goal. You know coming in from center ice and there was two defenseman draped. All over from this is back in the day and put them the full lumber all over him anyway scores as magnificent goal hence his nickname but tough. Tough league man. Toughly tough tough on an athlete. I'm impressed man way to go another tough job is the podcast world is we both know that a segue winds up and down for greatest segue that was hang on this right that but Certainly i think this is great. News in that where i am here in ottawa. Where most of our listeners reside on this brand new podcast that starts this weekend. it's it features. Tsn's ottawa reporter and Host of the sends games rent wallace and former ottawa. Senator mark my thought. And so it's it's it's going to be a really good show. It's gonna be on a couple of times a week and people might wonder. Okay why are you talking about what may well be. A competitor to the s w. p. or. Why are you talking about something that could be a competitor to sends nation. Podcast or the spendable is reading. The fact of the matter is. I think it's fantastic. Because one of the challenges that we have is just getting people aware of podcasting and understanding podcasting and went a big one up like this where you know. A lot of people are gonna be curious about it. I think it will draw more people to the podcast industry. So i think big picture. It's excellent news for everybody in the podcast world. I don't think so. I think br rents go take hike. Right that's.
