"And I was like, I was so shocked that it was Sandler that I didn't really know what to do and I was just like, I didn't really respond. And then I think I motored out like it's not me at some point, but I think he was maybe already in his car, but just like shell shocked. I had a similar encounter I went to UCLA so I was in LA for college at the time we were going to see a movie. Fuck, I can't remember what it was in Westwood village just south of campus. My friend was driving and pulling into the parking structure for the for the movie theater. And it came to a stop because there was a pedestrian there, but then the pedestrian waved him through and it was Adam Sandler with a big cigar. He had a big stove. Wow. And he was just like, and he was cool. He waved in a cool way, like go ahead, like, you know, I have the right away, but you can go in and park. And we're like, well, let's add him Sandler. And then he was in the movie, sitting in the back row. Wow. And with a hoodie on. And he was in the movie, it was don't trust the zohan or whatever that was. Yeah, it was don't mess with the zohan. He's laughing. He was in the movie. If he went and watched don't mess with the zohan and it was in the back row with a cigar laughing like sci-fi bob, I think that would be the funniest thing on earth. Just laughing at us very alpha. Yeah. Okay, well my Sandler sighting was I used to do a lot with the children's theater company story pirates, and he chaperoned his kids field trip to the geffen playhouse for a show. Wow. He was just like a straight up volunteer chaperone for a field trip. Rolling up with one of his kids classes in like basketball shorts was like, that was funny. That's really sweet. So cool. Sandler, come out strong in this episode. Yeah. And you know what? He probably enjoys those three, three salad combos that you could get at Clementine and then when I finally went to lemonade, which my experience with lemonade was mostly at the large. Large mon. What am I saying large moan? Large Mont. Large march month. Larchmont. It's large amount when the doughboys are there. That's where I went for this one. I went to larchmont. I ordered I ordered delivery and I'll tell you why, 'cause I was also kind of embarrassed but I got in the mail and I've been saving this for a couple of weeks now. Lemonade exclusive offers, I got like a postcard, probably not a good sign for the restaurant. But on the back, it was free delivery and $10 off $20 or more. I was definitely gonna get $20 or more or buy a lemonade get a free entree. I probably should have done that because that may be able to save me more money. But not that we need to do that. This is a doughboy podcast. I could have just put it on the doughboys card, which I did. Well, I mean, we still cost, you know, you understand economically that's still our money. Look, it was a doughboy's cash. I was playing with house money. So yeah, that's our money. That's right. So but I used the coupon for $10 off. I got delivered. I've been in that large month location quite a few times. So I had been in there before. And I do remember when it was new and kind of like when it was new there. I can't remember. I feel like maybe I want to lemonade for the first time with The Simpsons or I'm trying to figure out what it was because it was like later it was Lisa happy that there wasn't a wide range of vegetarian options. She was thrilled. Borrow always put his order in light. Yeah, that's pain. Maggie, you know, can't.

"They go to the same three clips. Where he's like. i'm talking save one. Yeah over and over like we have to make them look like a bad guy. I'm sure he was a bad guy behind the scenes but it's it's really hard and she just moved to larchmont with a pool. I my sympathy levels like very low very low. I mean like she's living in a house. I'll probably in my lifetime. Never be able to afford even though she's paying rent. I still couldn't afford that rent. Just saying oh my god. Larchmont is beautiful houses beautiful. Yes she downsized not a bad thing. Yeah i don't really. I don't feel too bad. I mean that's the whole thing is the lack of remorse for me is really gross. And that's indefensible. Bottom line is there was money transferred her llc. And now we're seeing this. She basically said that this episode recently our career is over. So okay did. What's all that money doing in that account like what are you doing with it. But the bottom line is she on the show has shown off she bought a new range rover the house that we just talked about now. She's in this cossiga on vacation. I looked this up. Because i said this is ridiculous. She's there she's hosting an event she's showing it off like it's her own house so proud of it now. It's a cossiga the way it was viewed online. Anyway the rate was posted. Was it said. Eight hundred seventy one dollars per night.

"It didn't batteries for hours upon hours, and that's why everything went down. So it's been very frustrating as you could imagine for people in the in the heat of the summer and people working out of home because covert and all that to go now 896 days without power without data, connective ity, So you know there's a lot that's gonna have to be dealt with. The state has the power to review all of these things. So we'll see what happens. But, you know, on top of co vid on top of the fiscal problems that come out of covert, you know, we're dealing with the racial justice issue. You know, I think next week we'll get the plague of Locusts. Micah, No, George, That's but when my phrase exactly eyes at one of the locust coming God, I think we're probably gonna jinx ourselves now. You know, I've been watching, of course, hear the big story all across the country is what schools they're going to open which are not. I see. New Rochelle schools have already decided that they're going to be online on Lee. What do you make of that? You know, to be honest with, you know, the governor gave the direction we could go that schools could open. But he did say that schools should dialogue with their parents and all that stuff me personally, I think it would be better if they started online Learning in the month of September to sort of first of all, get get a grip. How easy or difficult online learning is going to be, and I suspect it's going to be very hard for the little kids. You know what what happens when you're those lower grades to focus on? You know something that in a computer to be educated, but I think it would give schools of chance to, you know, get the rhythm down Sanitization, which we're trying to help him with that all of the different other things to make it a safe environment because just like Major League baseball, you know we've talked about sports before when Lynn was with us, too. You know, Major league Baseball started up, but this problems and I don't know if they're going to make it to the end of the season, And if we start up schools we have to be prepared to shut him down. If things don't go, right, so I would. I would think what nearly Shell and other district strategy makes more sense to me that you ease into it. You go a month baby of remote learning, and you see how that works, And then you actually have kids in class is a little bit later. You know, George, We only talk about baseball and sports when Lynn is with us, because I haven't a clue when he's not here being the Broadway guys. Hey, I know you're out and about talking, talking to a lot of the small business owners and the restaurant owners. Up in Westchester. Are they making some money now? Or is there still a lot of unease at what the fall is going to look like? If they can't they're still in these. They are making some money now because with both outdoor and indoor dining, and everybody's been very creative, I must say, and getting as much out to a seating is possible. Communities have been shutting off the main streets of their towns. Reid did it. Pleasantville Larchmont, host of the smaller communities that you could put out a whole batch of tables outside, um and so things that things have gotten a lot better than some businesses. It depends on how you finance if you find this on the head of a pin. If you have huge rent to cover, some of them didn't make it. But, you know, some have seemed to be stabilizing. I think what we're all afraid of now is consumer confidence because it's still it's still a group of people that are not ready to go back out into the economy. And I talk to folks that Generally old, much older, not I've passed the magical 65 mark, but folks who are up there, you know, 10 years more than me, just very reticent to go back out of the marketplace, So you're not fully engaged the way you should be, but it's a lot better. I mean, when we started talking months ago, it was pretty dismal, but it's better now. You know, I've been watching, Of course, as everybody is. People are fleeing the city and big numbers. Are they? Are they coming to Westchester? What's the real estate market doing there? But it's funny because I've had about five or six meetings with various developers just over breakfast, just what's happening out there? What do you see happening? I think I see two trends. So for because it's the summertime people who live in the city who have resource is, you know, Think Manhattan Upper East Side. She she parts of Brooklyn. They have rented houses in Westchester. I'm sure this is true on the island. I'm sure this is true out northern New Jersey. They've rented suburban houses to spend the summer at and work out of there, since they're working out of their homes either way, instead of their you know, upscale apartments in the city, and they're waiting to see what happens when we hit the ball, so there is a demand. It was summer rentals another way. You know, you read your house out. You go some other exotic place for the summer, and somebody from the city comes out when she has that's in demand. The second thing that I hear about is that a number of companies are looking at having satellite offices in for my purposes in Westchester, White Plains and so forth. The main headquarters are in the city. They haven't had a president in White Plains before. They're looking to rent some office space. I don't know. 15 20 people who might come into white Plains without coming all the way into the city. They're not looking at moving the business in its entirety outside of the city, But they want to have a suburban presence for some number of their workers That could go into that location. Those air the trends I here right now, you know, I don't know. You know how accurate will be over the long haul. That's the bus. It's bad for us right here in the city Turns out to be pretty good for you guys up there in Westchester. Alright Westchester County Executive George Vladimir always a pleasure to talk to you, George, and you want to get what we want to city to succeed, Like, you know, we can't succeed at the city's failing. We're in this Well, that's very true. That's very true. Appreciate that. OK up next, we'll find out when Miley Cyrus lost her Virginia And do not swim in the ocean in New Jersey, because sharks may be the least. Of your worries. That is all coming up right next time. I want to give you the balance of nature spot right here. And here we are. Almost every day you hear Lenin. I talk about balance of nature's fruits and vegetables in a capsule what it does for us, But we want you to feel the difference in your health by ending balance of nature's fruits and vegetables, really 31 whole ripe fruits and vegetables ground into a capsule going to give.

It's a neighborhood right by Paramount neighborhood right by Paramount, and you look like you looked at me goes You know, I've seen your Penis Everyone. I think the whole gases like Yeah, Yeah, I've seen it. But that was it was good times with him because I think there was because of my schedule being so Busy because I hadn't even done a talk show. I hadn't even like I think my first like regular late night talk show with Jimmy Kimmel after the hangover came out, so I wasn't even I wasn't even breakable. Because you're not at that point. You weren't famous. You weren't. Right. Right? So it was like a week after the hangover came out, then I was like, Oh, you got Jimmy like, Wow. You know so way. Didn't you know? Like no one knew, And then everything. And then it was like, I don't know if you remember Joel, even during during that first few weeks of community you even at you even asked me he goes can were on Monday night. Raw E. It was kind of like like I was just doing so much press When I wasn't doing community those first few weeks of July of 09 It was just it was just it was intense. It was. It was very intense. When it's duct taping, you start getting the offers. All of a sudden, it's like, Oh, my gosh, all this stuff that I kind of always fantasized about his half right? Right, And that's Yeah, I want it started happening for me. I was just like all I'm saying yes to everything, and my publishers were like you can't say yes to everything right? Think about this, and I've annoyed them for years doing. I think that's what was going on. It was because there's there's a few things where I had to travel where this is. And do Yes. This is the excuse to do it where I was traveling, and they turned down the soup like three turned into suits. I don't know. I just It was just that first time And then the best is that KP is like a friend. And so KP was very confident that you are coming on the show there like a friend can is really popping right now. Big deal. Huge movie. It's gonna happen. He's going to come on the show. It's going to cool. He's a friend of mine. And can past and think I ran into him somewhere afterwards, and he was like, I can't I can't believe you big time he did. I can't believe you're big time now and then, And I was like, No, I'm sorry. It was a conflict and goes all right? Yeah, Yeah. Yeah, there was a conflict. Sure enough, And then And then by the time I went on the soup Every that first time I went on this tube was just gave you This was just so he was giving you such He was giving me such bad holding anything in here. I know. Yeah, that sounds exactly like you and I and I did, And I took it like a man. I was like, Yeah, You're right. You're right. I get it. I get it. Because I wanted to clarify that not Jesus just did a thing with ABC Nightline. Did a thing on Gavin mcginnis, and they interviewed me about it. And you know. You know, what are you out with it? Now like in your head because you a bunch because of it. It's just you realize that there's people that you know, you race Pim's the ah doing this like you say this on on a lot of these contributors, the FOX contribute is. I don't even think they believe what they're saying. But then throwing that red meat to the base. And they're saying these these things, and I'm not I'm not saying, I don't think that they're not racist. I just don't think that they're extreme and playing apart. And then when you get them off that when you get them off from behind. Hey, let's just leave it on the field. And what they don't understand. There's no there's no integrity to what you thought about in the first place. But that's all people with this. Even with this done in Kruger affect all people want you to do is to subscribe to whatever they believe anyway. And then they go. Yeah. We'll see she says that's like every time you get like, Michelle Owens, or or you get a Nigel NS. These guys get a black guy or you're. See the Trump has ice and diamond like these. The porn sites to worse. Black women ever goal hair. Just and they're like you, you know, Mr. Trump at that. And it's like, and so you get these people who are already into that. And they look you say they they said it black takes Senate. So you get you get all these people that kind of subscribe to this thing. And then they just feed it, and I think what's what happens. Also is worse. Right. Yeah. Oh, it's because you don't even at least if you're an asshole, and you you're an authentic asshole. Then. Okay. But you know, if you know better and you doing this. There was an open letter that they that. So what happened in Gavin mcginnis his neighborhood with the leader the proud way, he which he says, he's not the leader of the problems. So and then they all put them up, and he wrote an open letter, basically saying his family's been heart deeply by this fine. But what because he goes his the community is against his family. My kids I work here. My kids go to school here and there and then one of the guys responding them. "Now back that Heather Dubrow world. Oh. I feel like we you being like Kentucky Fried Chicken, and then that was morphed into everything else. We had some family situation on I think we've found out. I think we've found out on Thursday. But really started talking about it on Saturday with my brother. Oh, yeah. So, but it was nice. I mean, the that's the hard part, right? Because I'm with my sisters, my mom and the kids are running around and having such a great time. But unfortunately, it's like the. Elephant in the room that we have to talk about it, and it sort of like a damper. But you know, it is what it is. But that was nice just all being together the kids, and every has your mom so stressed the oh like beyond. I've never seen her the stress. So it's it's hard and a birthday's coming up. So I wanted to something special for her. When is your birthday, the twenty fifth hold is. You don't talk about. Now. She's like sixty four six good. She looks good. Yeah. Yeah. She looks really good. What are you gonna do for? I don't know. I'm going plan that with my sisters and see you guys should go to LA. Yeah. She needs more like a spa. Oh, yeah. She's breaking out really bad because of stress. Yeah. So she needs to just think like checkout getaway, it's maybe we'll just get like overnight would you ever go back to ranch of Lenzi are not right for her. No pop. Probably not right now. What about? I don't know if you have to go there for a week. But I went there years ago too. It's the place where Oprah found her chef that she had all those years ago rosy, it's called it's down by San Diego. It's down that way. It's called Oh omega. my God. It's going to. I know some of you out there going. All all remember it. But it's it's Dido. It's called I don't album breath, not Rancho LA Puerta. And it's not although you guys with love ranch. Why don't you do that? I have to look it up and see remember, we're Maxon I went to Mexico in. Oh, that's right. Oh, she would love that. Although she's been going there a lot from my aunt. I don't know. I have to I have to ask my sisters and seat. But. I'll go look up the places. I can't can't remember the name plays. It's gonna drive me insane. But yeah, yes, something like something. I wanted to just feel like getaway unplug if she can. And just you know, I know it's hard because when your kids are not in a good place. It's hard for you to ever. Relax. Relax. No. You can't. Yeah. And then Sunday Riley, and I it's restaurant week in LA. I saw that. I saw a picture of Riley. He's so cute. I saw a picture really like massaging like the tiniest like he was holding one right appetizer and one little flower. Whatever the green putting like the water has to make sure it was like exactly the right way. I live with. My gosh. I'm like just eat it. Oh my God. I don't think a scramble would work well with him. It really doesn't. It's so painful. Oh my God. We went to LA went to place called Kelly. Knock great. No, no. And that's it. We got like a good deal because it was restaurant week. But normally it's like double the amount. How good he leave here is it a restaurant week here. It's an LA so restaurant week in OC this week. They have like a bad at little event. Yeah. Okay. But we went yesterday and have that with some friends, and it was fun. But the food wasn't where is that? It's right next like paramount studios. Okay. I'm not sure cross-straits anything. "But there's a reason why we chose that in the eye general. I don't know about you. I generally don't like movies about Hollywood. I like some movies about Hollywood. But I take it in general. I enjoyed the show time series episodes the moment. Matt leblanc. I watched the zone. Yeah. It's a show. It's heightened. It's pushed into a place. Okay. That's that's nuts. Where you've got you. But yeah, I get it. And what I think they did is that they recognized for the natural conflicts were and turn to fifteen and what the natural absurdities turned up a lot. Which is fine. I've seen with Frazier crane is not a very good psychiatrist, probably right. But it's enjoyable character to watch. But all you gotta do is get ten screenwriters in a room, and you realize their Hollywood is totally different from your Hollywood. Anyway. And I think that's probably true if somebody else in publishing might watch younger and be like, they nailed that. They nailed that. So couple of years ago for legendary I did a pilot pilot so ended up pilot about Hollywood about now it's about a fictitious studio. And so it was going to be legendary is first TV shows. And so I wrote it, and we never actually got it set up and Billy Ray's show, which is about another studio. Historical studio got made but mine was a present day show. And it was really interesting writing about sort of real life because I knew exactly what those competitions were. I knew sort of like what the things around. Would be. But I remember Kelly Marcel had about it. It's like she's like, I can't believe included that. The wet nose. Like, oh, that's about those two actors like I had no idea that story was. Yeah. Those same things happen again. It always feels like, you know, oh, that's an absurd thing. That could only happen. We get that a lot. And it's where where I'll get an Email from somebody in the Denver police department or something or Denver fire department and say, oh, did you read about our fund drive? No, they were doing that. Also in Chicago or Miami or wherever. Yeah, we have to tell people were not stealing stories. Yeah. Yeah. I can understand why you know being in a dick wolf universe. Like there used to law and order where like clearly from the headline the headline, but you're not ripping the headlines now, I mean, I will you know, in the summer when we're when we're gearing up for the first part of the season all look through the internet really for interesting calls what we call calls or when the bells go off, and I saw in Japan or somewhere. There was a woman whose foot had been run over in a in a revolving door, and I had childhood fear. Of revolving doors, and I was anytime we can do something that's suspenseful or so I saw this picture, and I just took the picture put it in my story folder. And then when we got out and we're in the middle of the season. It was like we need an interesting call. I remember that picture and we put that in. So yes, it's ripped from the headlines. Kind of. Yeah. It definitely jogged my memories of fears. I had as a kid I said, the last reason why think are onscreen jobs in real screen jobs. Don't match up so nicely as that are conflicts in the real world aren't as clean. They aren't. They aren't as interesting. And so that we suppress things a lot. We don't venture the way that we want to be able to vent don't express themselves in ways that we need to express themselves and by December thirty on screen weird winnowing down the number of people who are actually speaking parts. And so you you can't have relationships with twenty people, right? Of course. And they don't resolve as easily as we need an hour and forty five minutes or even a over a span of ten episodes like they just most your conflicts don't really resolve now that I like I saw somebody out on Larchmont, which is close to John in my house who I hadn't seen in. I don't know nine or ten years, and I didn't have a problem with that person just faded when we had kids that kind of result went in diff. Directions, and that wouldn't work very well. Who is this person? Yeah. What is this? All right..

"Years old and drivers had where we I had to watch these these stupid films. I guess I shouldn't say stupid we watch these films, and then take us out, and you know, behind the wheel. And if that's not the scariest thing, I don't know. What is I remember when my mom took me driving for the first time we had a doctor's appointment. I think we're living in Yonkers at the time. And we had an appointment at a doctor in Larchmont, and we came out of the doctor. My mother said you drive home. I was like, yeah. I want to drive home. I was so scared and so nervous. And for some reason, my mom was so calm, and I would look at her, and she's not she wouldn't if it was me if I had a sixteen year old kid I had to do this. I'd be scared to death. And I was actually scared behind the wheel because it was the first time actually being on the road with other cars and when a truck pulls up next to you. So I guess offenders fear trucks for a long time. Now, they think about it. It just gets, you know, very intimidating because the worst nightmare is. And this is why I had this problem in Denver is my girlfriend, and I at the time would literally speed up. So you're not next to one is h God forbid fall over your dad. So what they've done in Denver and parts of Colorado's. They made roads that are non eighteen Wheeler approved. So you couldn't go on those roads, which I think would be a great thing here in Florida to ninety five is the obvious place for for the truckers. But the turnpike should just be auto automobiles and this morning, I saw again, and I saw this on ninety five and I don't understand this. I know I've talked about this before. But it just doesn't make sense to me that these people with these mopeds really just mopeds. They're not motorcycles. And I'm maybe I'm not maybe it's not a moped rape. It's called the scooter. I don't know, but they have license plates on it. So they're allowed to drive in traffic. I would never do that. He personally, I get more nervous around them. Because since riding this one particular guy was driving this morning on ninety five in between the left speed lane and the next lane. Apparently, there's a family. Like a double line. I never realized or I don't think I could be wrong. I don't think that's a motorcycle lane. Because wouldn't that be the most dangerous part of the road? But this guy was going thirty miles an hour, which is the back some of these things can go and in the middle of rush hour traffic coming in ninety five. That takes takes far that tastes spur to even do that. Especially in ninety five. I mean, if that's not crazy. I don't know. What is does it bother you? When you see these things remind the only one eight seven seven eight hundred eighty five eighty five eight seven seven eight fifty eighty five eighty five I just don't like being in traffic with these scooters number one because it's so easy to hit them. It's kind of like if you another example on anyone if you drive through up from Delray Beach, just going north you share. There's actually a very thin bicycle lane on the side of the road where scooters are supposed to be or maybe that's mopeds scooters have the license plate. So they they're in traffic that's bad enough because they can't go more than thirty miles an hour. Put the bicycles that drives so close and there's only two lanes there. One going one way one going the other way. So you literally have to slow down. Because if the cars coming the other way, you would hit the bicycle. That's going in the same direction as you. Parts of it on the stand. And maybe this is just a New York thing. But I was always taught in New York. If you're going to ride a bicycle on a road. It also called bike lane. You always wanna ride towards the traffic not with it. So I guess that doesn't apply here in Florida. And if I was a cyclist, I'm be scared to death to be driving with cars. Same ac- scooters mopeds. Whatever you call these things..
