Play their. threesome with me and Dr Pepper. The good doctor. who the doctor is in. Maybe. Maybe I'll just watch and she can just play Dr Pepper Mr. Man That mister pip, though he's got some wondering fingers. In 'em threesome Mister Pip Dr Larry. Excellent. So now we go to Shanghai because the ORB is a at the flower pagoda. or The dropoff happening there, and they say this, as if and maybe it is I've never been to Shanghai. Personally the flower pagoda like a thing. Is that like a big deal landmark? Anything I have no idea. It Yeah I. I'm fairly ignorant. Finishing to Shanghai and I don't know because I am ignorant as well there you go. She uses Google glasses to get an update from Noah. Taylor, dude this fucking. Thing looked so cheap. My God it is just Google Glass look ahead of its time. It looks like fucking garbage. That doesn't exist anymore, right? That didn't happen. Up on it I think I. Think Society was like you know what? I will tell you I was in San, Francisco the week. It was happening though. They were everywhere really. A bunch of these fucking morons walking out into the street hit by cars. Everybody just looks so fucking stupid looking for laughing at him, I mean. You look deep I saw one dude came into my job where I was working time as a vendor. And he heads Google asked the whole meaning of like you ask. Like yeah, we're waiting for that like. SPEC update for yeah, definitely Yep that's all it is. Maybe I'll see some bubis. Bubis era Weiner with my google. You could see everyone who has a walking skeleton. That yeah, like Jason and the argonauts type of glass I would actually maybe partake. Oh, you're just so instead of like looking at people. You would literally just be looking at the League of skeletons all day, yes. Maybe I mean at least on Halloween right. I'm glad that technological innovation failed so there's like this handoff with. Karen Hines and The Chen those the rest of it's his. It's still that same Right. It's his brother Yeah yeah unless. This lead it on the Horn I'll outside. Your fucking helicopter is so fucking stupid the biggest. My favorite thing about this is that you reveal Til Schweiger is in this movie. He's like the number to cure in. Heinz, and it's in this moment that it's revealed that his name is Sean. Sean, I need your help on this. You want like a gunner there, yeah? Michael Kilgore that. That's what you want. Do, you think Quinn, turn Tino is a big fan of cradle of life. Has this movie played at the new bath? I don't know man, not not too many instances of bare feet in this room. But like Til Schweiger like. I still to this day like inglorious bastards. Him. maybe.

"Just doing everything at us at once the tomb raider trailer came we got a big idiot xbox montage which is like bewildering to many games even keep track of and then these tomb raider trailer i think was an excellent trailer i was really impressed with just how that trail was put together that game looks awesome i'm so ready for that game is she a bad guy sherie is that what they're saying like she can change time but was to face stuff in know i was i thought it was a good trailer but at the same time in this coming for that absolutely loved tomb raider in rise of the tomb raider i just wanna know either how you're gonna do what those games did better or if we're gonna do something different i kinda didn't get that sense from the trailer so i'm kind of i don't know third games are always dyson to me especially when the first two are really good yeah you know so while i wanna go in you know super super excited about it i'm excited but at the same time i'm almost preparing myself to be let down only not let down because the game has bad letdown because the first game says such a high bar that i'm lamb much more can they go unless they really try something like i thought rising to mayors a masterpiece as it was our game of the year that you're on the show yeah this one too i'm i'm really excited for it.

"And now to go to the wonderful weird world of hollywood and the big movie released today is called tomb raider this is not to be confused with lara croft tomb raider which came out about fifteen years ago those movies the old lower cross movies started angelina jolie but it's the same character and as a character based on video game and in this version of her origin story she's kickboxing and she's racing around london delivering pizzas and other things on a bicycle and engaged in bicycle races and you wonder what's what's going on here this is all happening in london well it turns out she's actually an heiress but her father who you see in flashbacks of the father is it is very very strong presence well played by dominic west lara croft here is not angelina jolie it's a leash uva candor who are you may have seen next mackinaw she wanted oscar for the danish girl and she finds out that it's time to reckon with her father's death because he's disappeared years before but she wants to solve the mystery of how he disappeared and that's where her adventure begins in tomb raider what's your name laura surname croft called trinity it's looking to start a global genocide promise me you will stop them i think i know where my dad went that's right in the middle of the devil see it'll be an adventure death is not adventure you shouldn't have come here but i'm glad that you did close the tomb once and for all the fate of humanity is now in your hands okay this is very silly it's of course it's silly it's based on a video game but unlike some other people who've seen this film i actually thought it was fun and it's fun because leash uva candor actually creates a character you can kind of believe this version of lara croft she's very fit she is not a superhero she endures a great deal of punishment in this film it's rated pg thirteen because of it and yes the plot about some mysterious goddess of death that has been imprisoned in an island off the coast of japan years before makes no sense at all however the chase scenes are exceptional some of the dramatic rescues and escapes are very memorable and visually stunning.

"Even grey last night i went to say tomb raider having me disappointed with the two previous outings over fifteen years ago i had my fingers and toes crossed that this would be better the previous films look good but suffered from major plot issues and gerald butler thankfully i wasn't disappointed they they also have major production issues but they have managed to make a decent film based on a video game this is the film that angelina jolie wished she had made all those years ago and this is an excellent laura croft you believe in the character and the life that she is chosen the set pieces a great on the big screen with the tomb looking the part with all the tricks and puzzles in place the supporting cast a good job with daniel wound kristin scott thomas standing out the most refreshing part was that there was no love interest for lara croft no hint to one even being introduced i'm glad the director didn't see the need to have one hopefully this does well enough for sequel as i'd love to see this i new tomb raider on the big screen again status has some good points about lara croft which is which is out yesterday actually so we have nine minutes left no you have many treats for okay so mary magdalene the another film which are both you and i've seen biblical drama opening in the runup to easter presumably hoping to repeat the box office successive passionate the christ which went onto i think the biggest selling independent selling non english language blah blah blah blah blah you know of mary matlin looks unlikely to set the world like in that same way it's essentially a people revisionist tackle that's not entirely fair take on the figure of mary magdalene who for centuries was characterized by western christianity as essentially a full in women i think was the term they used despite the being absolutely no basis for this whatsoever the claim apparently dates back to poke gregory who declared her to be a penitent prostitutes in the year whatever it was twenty one i think five hundred ninety one i think what seventy years between frames by his entry exactly and so the it's also an idea which is found paul.

"There was an alternate ending filmed but it was actually their backup ending the studio didn't like the ending they got neither do i they didn't like gerard butler turn traitor they thought audiences wouldn't like it he should be more romantic okay so there was going to be a longer fight between rice and croft in which rice accidentally shoots and kills drew are butler k not unlike how dana craig almost sorta died last time yeah they film that and she was going to kiss him and say she not loved him but something like that as he died yeah this is the problem you have a female action star and studio suits the oh like she needs to have womanly romantic ideals and that is not lara croft that is not the character we played she's tough as nails she doesn't need these men and she always exceeds without them i would be angry if she ended up in his arms at the end of this movie that would infuriate me yeah this fight though rice isn't a fighter and the whole running around ceilings it's visually cool it's completely unmotivated by anything i don't know why you get to the cradle and now you're dancing on the ceiling gravity's reverse or something it's just i mean i've seen this before in labyrinth and they did it much better there too much better effect they needed to movie it up they're like well how do we make this visually exciting if you walk up to a bubbling pool and there's a glowing box you need to do something this would be fun to play in a game though that'd be kind of a neat little thing to be having to find your opponent above you standing onto ceiling.

"Depending on because she's angelina jolie and she loves the elsam sadomasochism for just just for the sake of it why are they going to say that she's romantic after this entire movie wear i never i always believed her when alex was coming under her and she was like i'm not end eu dude like that she would actually care whether he lived or died was a false note i do like this one bit when ian glenn is in frozen time and he's throw him the knife and angeline is turning it around i think at just see in the slight imperceptible movements in un's face a little bit of oh shit like he can tell the nightmares turning around and foot he's moving so slow but i think the actor cells me in that gaze of oh boy this is not going to go well and then he gets stabbed but not bad enough that he can't engage in fisticuffs before yeah i here's what i think they had that as the ending and then someone said this is not exciting enough we want to see lara go oneonone punch kick and really go action and so even though this man is down way down he's going to get up for unknown reasons and engage in yet another climax they have an assistant he's got this longhaired fool that's been trolling around behind him with a bunch of folders couldn't they make him do something yeah i thought that was jack knows worthy for awhile but you hit the nail on the head they said in the commentary we decided that we need see lara croft be a little bit more heroic and have an end fides and so we collapsed the temple and have one final fight and she gets to kill powell and save last in the end barely escaped with their life we get one final action set up where she's skiing behind a bunch of sleddogs through through ice tunnels sat was so much fun now is just like i just thought of like the world's greatest waterslide yeah it would be something there.

"Really incompetent he accomplishes nothing he has with him alex west it's hysterical to me we have angelina jolie putting on a very good british act said than than we have daniel craig putting running really bad american accent that's why i asked if she was british in the game serb bizarre but a really weird choice to make that checks position for nor is but he isn't as good as she says he isn't going to do it either now imagine this lara croft doesn't here o'clock in the middle of the night like the princess and the p who halfway across her mansion something starts ticking as she immediately knows it's time to renovate by breaking down a wall and finding o'clock guy she doesn't do that the key is never found nothing ever happens she doesn't lead anyone anywhere the illuminates fail and they have to wait five thousand more years oh yeah i definitely feel like she will be tasked with destroying the triangle by getting it out of obscurity you're better off leaving it in obscurity where it becomes more dangerous once she opens doors that allow them to get closer to this objective power but the reason why she even knows about it it's time to bring up the postmodern connection she has her father jon voight i think at this point they are not on speaking terms they politically have been on very opposite ends of most issues when they go public about their politics and he had been kind of out of the scene it it said that he disappeared a 1985 and i agree i and seen as actor since runaway train in 1985 well he done mission impossible in the nineties sort of yeah okay that's really where he came back he started doing projects around that time again and they had their period of being while me outs and then they were reconciled and they really wanted to do a project together they did want to do this together yes because she doesn't have any scenes with him.

"Making the games back then they've since been bought and bought again as happened with game companies but they did say that lara croft was there mickey mouse if you wanna see something different about this tomb raider movie than some of the previous once they wanted complete veto control over every stage of this movie because they knew this was their money maker every year they were putting out a game now they did decrease in quality and eventually they just killed that golden goose but at this point it was still very much their bread and butter and so you had them looking at every script evei were involved in casting absolutely every piece of this they were there and looking at how does this reflect our game are they doing the moves from our game are they doing the iconography from the game one thing that they insisted on angelina jolie had to wear those short short she didn't wanna wear the short shorts they ended up doing it for just a scene but she had to wear the shore shorts to me in that outfits absolutely i mean boy if there's one revolutionary thing i mean if you wanna talk about the synthesis of the movie world and the video game world the idea that they got her i mean i don't know where the actress ends and the character begins but they are symbiotic i mean there they take things i think from jolis personal myth those that she sleeps with knives that she has this fight with her father that she adopts children from cambodia all those things are like seamlessly sucked into this lara croft character only half of that was happening back when she became lara croft the kids from cambodia actually came out of this movie they filmed in cambodia and she's like oh look at all the kids and should collect them i kinda wondered that but the sleeping with knives according to i am deby trivia take it with a grain of salt she had to do regular drug testing because she was doing a lot of her own stunts she was with billy bob the rumors of the druguse and everything else the play.

"In ninety six i was graphics knob so there was no way i could be hot for poly gone come on your days think thing here we're talking about the symbiosis between movies in games it's in the title right raider what china will the 80s wouldn't want to be indiana jones i mean the are obviously cribbing from one of the most popular movies from our childhood and now they have the graphics we can actually play i mean when atari 2600 put out raiders have lost arc it was a disaster but finally ten years later they could make a game that was worthy a comparisons to raiders of the lost ark and indiana jones yeah i think one of the big things that we're seeing years because of this time jumper experiencing is that this is the first game that we're experiencing that i think might have been story boarded the some degree in at least workshop somebody sat down and developed the idea of a character and what they're going to be doing any movie in game we've done before this i feel like it was flying by the sea their pants and cut a making a go oh as they were going yeah i mean in streetfighter it was very hodge podge schenn mario didn't really have a story and yes this one the very first one had cut scenes i think the definition of when movies influence games as when cut scenes came into play that haven't even back in the nintendo but here you have the full motion ones and their scenes where plot developments happened and then you take control of the character again the developers claim that they knew they wanted to raider but they didn't think they were going indiana jones at first it wasn't until they were deep into the game that they decided to do it and lara croft was going to be a man they wanted to do it where you could pick your character you could play as a guy plays a girl remember you did that in resident evil it was the thing to do and they realized hey if we do that we have to make double the cut scenes do double the voice work so we're just going to do one they decided to keep the woman because according to the developer.
