If you google microsoft windows ten media creation tool very first thing pops up for me is download windows ten disk image. You don't need a serial number anything because that machine had window came with windows. Ten microsoft has it in their database. They already know it. And it's already authorized. You have what microsoft calls and entitlement sexually good thing you know because it's different from the way it used to be used to have a serial number to install windows right Anytime a machine is running windows ten. And it says authorized it now is in the microsoft database as a computer is authorized to run windows. Ten at has an entitlement to windows ten and you never again neither serial number. All you need is this is so this. This is so file on a usb key. Run it when his tunnel. Say oh yeah. I know i've been here before. I love this place. This time i'm gonna make the drivers work and When once you get installed and connected to the internet it will authorize and it's it's a fully authorized version. it'll basically be like the became. Locast Shutting Down After Losing Court Battle With TV Networks

"Low caste was a solution that let you watch your local channels over the internet. So if you didn't live near enough to the big city to get the channels but you were in the what they call the area of dominant influence the of that market as we are. We're about fifty miles north of san francisco too far for anything but antenna on one hundred foot masts to get the Get reception so that's why you know cable does well out here in the boonies in the suburbs in the burbs And of course those are the two constituencies really liked this idea of low caste because i could just fire up low-caste dot org and watch my local stations without an antenna without A cost and the rationale was. We'll hey they're broadcasting for free it's ad-supported why the heck not so the first company to try this. Remember the areo. Their excuse was they had a little dime sized antennas and every subscriber had their own antenna. So all they were doing is putting that intent ten on the internet supreme court. Shut that down mighty fast. That was it for area. So low caste thought. Well we got another loophole. This is a new tradition. It's kind of interesting You don't like the rules. The laws of the land. You try to sneak in through the side door. It's actually a the great american pastime. Probably great human pastime gaming the system right. there's a system. There's some rules but they don't apply to me. How can we get around those rules. Let's figure out a way to get around. So what low. Caste thought was in fact there right. If you're a nonprofit if you don't profit off of this in others. I just did. Leo's internet thing. If for free set up a tower got the reception and then put it on the internet. T-Mobile Looking Into Potential Hack of Data on 100 Million Customers

"Hackers claim That they have t. Mobile account information for over one hundred million people that they got access to the t. mobile services servers. They weren't properly secured. There are now by the way the hacker say and by the way they must have found us because we can't get any more but we got one hundred million records and they're offering them for sale actually It's quite expensive if you wanna to buy it If you want a third of the total trove it'll cost you six bitcoin. That's about a quarter of a million dollars thereabouts. What it but this is why. It's so valuable if this is true. T. mobile says we're investigating. They don't know yet. Yeah we're investigating. They didn't they diet. But the data for one hundred million t mobile customers includes. Oh yeah sure phone. Numbers names physical addresses the. Im me i number for your phone. I give him advice. No am i am i. It's just it's just one of the things like you know how teachers have to buy school supplies for their students through attorneys by maybe by a projector for himself because courtrooms aren't funded. Either you're kidding. I know i'm surprised to. Hey rick thank you. Kim leo laporte. The tech to buy a projector for trials. Well i i'm thinking about it and the traditional way it's kind of old technology they use this thing called an elmo will but it's really a tv camera mounted above the platform. But you gotta have a hard copy and throw it on the platform and focus it I'd really love to be able to use my laptop with a projector. I suppose the core to let you do that but it certainly would be better than an elmo almost good if you've got a three d object. You know iraq but not so good for a piece of paper especially if you've got it already digital just do it from your laptop does it. Does it need to be super portable or not super portable. I mean no. It doesn't have to run on the battery Okay plug it in. Yeah we can plug it in. But i just i. I'm trying to figure out you know the court they're not gonna them the courtroom bright put something. Yeah yeah And i i don't know if it's within a decent price range or not. I'm reading different things. And i really can't figure it out so i called the master so one thing i would not get as a project that has a bulb for two reasons one. You have to warm it up to have to cool it down after plus it's going to have a big fan. I i just think these and that's the old school projectors. They all have big bulbs in them. You want a laser or led a projector and there's quite a few choices well under five hundred Epson make some excellent ones You don't care do i do i need. How many times do i need. Yeah that's a good. I was gonna say you don't really care about. Oh it's beautiful color because you're not showing a movie right in fact a lot of the show and photographs. Yeah yeah you want bright I would say so. Most projectors right now they talk about lumens but sometimes that's misleading I'm not a fan of it because they're often talking about peak brightness. Not what you see all the time so You know. But i think you know you want at least you probably talking about in the thousands for sure. I'm looking at an epson projector. That's about six hundred fifty bucks. The power light which is slim wireless. So you don't have to plug it in the laptop. Just parents laptop bringing it's only four pounds and it's thirty two hundred lumens. I would say that should be bright enough in a in a business setting or hundred bucks six forty nine. Yeah that's kind of. That's kind of their. I would say one of their top of the lines. Epson makes really nice. A business projectors three. Lcd's is very bright. I think it's a good choice. Leo laporte detect guy. Yeah you don't care so much about. i mean. It started Last year when The the company ant financial run by jack ma the founder of alibaba the amazon china cited do an initial public offering in the us in the us stock markets. My password is why you need a good password. No big deal. When i made the wallet. Bitcoin was twenty cents a bitcoin be a buck. Forty in there. Obviously i used a password. But i don't remember what it was and unfortunately i didn't take it seriously enough to put the password in my password vault in the last pass so i don't have a password for it unfortunately because seven. Bitcoin today is worth over. One hundred thousand dollars the way. Bitcoin works It's it's an imaginary currency that has real value. A wallet is really is nothing. It's just a number. It's it's your bitcoin. Account number is stored in. the of. The wallet isn't very big. It's just a few hundred bytes but when you have that wallet and you open it up inside the application that created it in this case the original bitcoin application because again this was a long time ago it then goes out and it downloads. Believe it or not the entire blockchain. This is the decentralized registry of every bitcoin transaction ever every it has to download that and That's been getting bigger and bigger. I don't know how big the blockchain is right. now let me check. it's going up fast. it could be gigabytes at this point. I think it is. I think many hundreds of gigabytes so downloads. Those and then it goes. It goes it's very interesting. It says if you know when you do a transaction with credit card or any other digital currency because a credit card. You're not giving them dollar bills it's all bits. There's a register of the transaction. It's combined with the register your bank keeps of. What's in your account again. There's nothing in your account. It's it's just a a entry in digital registry. These registries are all highly centralized mastercard. Visa your bank and they talk to each other and your bank visa..

I shut the computer down pressing than normal shutdown mode. Didn't go all the way off. So I I just shut the power off. Okay. And when I started back up it starts to start up. "Welcome back to the tech guy with leo laporte rich to mirrow sitting in for leo today on the line is sheldon in sherman oaks he bought a smart things hub and he wants to know if he can get it to work with some sort of keypad because right now he has to arm and disarm house with his phone is that right sheldon yeah that's correct and without idea your wife is not thrilled and so let me explain this is this is what i call technology the wife test or the spouse test or the significant other test okay because if you're like me you're a nerd and i will go to extreme lengths to set up anything right i will do a macro i will do a shortcut i will have you know or you press one button when you come home and the lights go on this does that and you gotta you know whatever you need to do i will do it right when the wife comes home she wants everything to work without figuring out how to make it work right and that's what you're dealing with so you've got this system and i'm kind of looking at these smart things website and it's kind of crazy because smart things is a platform that was purchased by samsung and basically it lets you connect a whole bunch of different devices smart home devices right to this system some of them being smart home security devices we've got our low cameras you've got some sensors for your windows and doors but you want to be able to arm those without using your phone and using keypad which makes sense you come home and you you know you turn off the alarm when you come into the house with a keypad versus going on your phone we have simply safe and arche pad was down for a week and it actually was a real big pain to turn on off the alarm when we entered an exit from our phone the entire time sometimes it's fine like when i leave the house off an arm it for my phone which is fine like getting my car but coming home and having to turn it off his kind of weird so.

"Friends. I. And you know, you could do something really radical, you could get together just for the sake of getting together. No, not because you need to go for walk because you're trying to lose weight, and definitely it's way better to get pedicures together but don't call your friend just because you need a pedicure call your friend because you need you friend. Some will say that you need to be your own friend before you can be a good friend to others. And I agree with that. You have to know love to give love. But you know, if we're all connected that it means that we can start with each other. We all want an intimacy at works for us. All right. This isn't unabashed plug for what I'm up to this year. I wanna go way deeper into this conversation about creating fulfilling friendship about loss to say about engaged, listening and self respect about how to break up with friends about celebrating friendship and about going deeper for twelve months. I'm going to be guiding you through that pedagogy. Am I program called lighter a soul support program? It starts in may of twenty eighteen Coren tension is about more sacred, more sanity and less of everything else. We're going to wrap this up with a spoken word piece before I get to that. "As Daniel. The port. This podcast series is called light work. This is how it started. I asked about a zillion people the following questions. What's the drag and your life? What do you love crave want and how do you think I could help with that. The responses I got were articulate and passionate and clear, and I heard myself and my girlfriends in every one of them. These are the concerns of the tribe. Those of us who consider our selves light workers and our definition of wholeness includes social activism and binge watching on Netflix and meditation, and does my ass look great lease jeans and we want to give back and serve the planet, and we just want some fucking diverse ourselves. This podcast is real conversations I have with my friends about how we nourish ourselves, how To's of healing, how were creating our longing to celebrate more to be ourselves wherever we go. We are passionate, articulate, hilarious, intelligent. We're very fucking powerful. Essentially, I've created tracks of interest of places where I think we need to give our attention to be more filled and turned on and of service to the world. They are as follows, deeper devotion, and that means self compassion and spiritual practice. We're going to be talking about fulfilling friendship and the friendship that carries over from our self respect into both a romantic and platonic relationships are interaction and community and how we show up in our work in the world. We'll talk about getting into right relationship with technology because as much as it moves are, lies forward is killing us time, harmony, sacred activism, conscious consumption, quality sleep. Guess what makes all the difference and nutrition awareness, knowing what's going in to the food that we put into our bodies. This is about doing right by love. This is about doing the light work, and I know you're already doing it. Everything I've got to give and everything you need to know is that Daniel LaPorte dot com slash lighter, you know, you can count on me to keep it real. I'll be talking about how to bring some soul medicine to where it hurts and to where it hurts. So good. I'll see their light work.
