Jack Posobiec Describes the 'Saudi Shuffle'
"What's going on with Saudi Arabia? Outside of silly soccer stuff. Let's go on with the pump and dump. We call it the Saudi shuffle a massive pump and dump that took place yesterday. Single source reporting, similar to the international distribution James laporta, who was summarily fired from Associated Press. I don't know why they were dumpster diving into the bargain bin of The Daily Beast of higher reporters. I hope they never do that again. After they had to fire him for lying about the Poland missile strike that turns out actually was a cream missile, not a Russian missile. It was a stray missile, by the way zelensky still yet to apologize for that, or at least offer condolences. But in Saudi Arabia, there was a single sourced anonymous report to The Wall Street Journal yesterday that said that Saudi Arabia would be ramping up oil production. Now, remember, this has been a huge strategic goal for the Biden administration to ramp up OPEC's oil production because they've put the lock and chain on all American domestic production. And so for a second there, it looked as though the oil would be flooding the pumps would be going from Saudi Arabia and all because the Biden administration had given immunity to MBS himself The Crown prince essentially the ruler of Saudi Arabia in these lawsuits regarding the death of Khashoggi. This guy Khashoggi was in a very shady, very sinister character, wrote for The Washington Post, so already someone that we should definitely have an asterisk next to. But again, you tied to some very, very bad people in the Middle East. But here's what happened. The Saudis came out and completely denied the reports of the price of oil Charlie. For a couple hours there on the markets, the oil futures just spell. They were suddenly lying down. They said, oh, there's this huge deal because the Biden White House was taking incoming all day over this Khashoggi's widow comes out and is like, oh, how about you've killed him again? So she said, you've killed him again. Well, the dirty little secret is, it looks as though this entire thing was fake, and it was either cooked up by somebody on the street who had some nice puts maybe in the oil market and conducted a literal pump and dump with oil futures or or where they working potentially in conjunction with somebody in The White House. The Biden administration that was looking for a little bit of cover fire for the fact that they had given immunity to MBS and

"This is WTO news. Ten 53 Ukraine has started evacuating citizens from some of the city's worst affected by Russian attacks. And there are warnings that millions will be displaced. 7.8 million Ukrainians have already fled their country 8 million have been displaced within it and now, with an estimated 10 million without power after Russian strikes on civilian infrastructure. We expect two to 3 million more people to leave their homes in search of warmth and safety. The World Health Organization's Hans kluge warning that this winter will be a battle for survival for many in Ukraine. Vicki Barker CBS News, London. The Associated Press has fired a national security reporter who provided erroneous information about a missile strike in Poland last week. 35 year old James laporta story resulted in a widely circulated but inaccurate news alert and story suggesting that Russia was responsible for the incident. The Washington Post confirms the Porter was terminated following a brief investigation. The explosion in a Polish village near the border with Ukraine killed two people. The Associated Press later issued a correction to the story, saying that the missiles were Russian made, and most likely fired by Ukraine in defense against a Russian attack. The death toll continues to climb on the Indonesian island of Java, a 5.6 magnitude earthquake earthquake has killed more than 260 people there and rescuers are finding more bodies beneath collapsed buildings, scores are still missing more than a thousand have been injured. Officials say many of the dead are likely public school students who were inside buildings when they collapsed. Initial rescue attempts were hampered by damaged roads and bridges

"Grana club instead of Chelsea with more on that gym master joins us on ESPN FC through eruption is also with us in Gemma a few days ago, you had told us that Barcelona has no money. Now, where is this deal coming from? Christina, yes, well, they activated something and this is privatizing club who belongs to the members, so this means that a Barcelona firm probably is not as good now because they decided to sell some interesting part of them, but as a football club, they are stronger because they will be having money to sign. They still don't have it. They have just sold the 10% of the TV rights for 25 years. This means, I mean, we thought that would be 200 million, but president laporta just told us a few hours ago that that means 260 and they will sell, they will try to sell it before doing the U.S. tour the 15% of the civil rights. To make that 25%, he told us that they expect to get 400 million errors from that Google and expecting that much money for the next 24 years. So this 400 plus 250 means 6 66,000 650, but in the matter of signing is what we're interested about. They thought that this will mean 200 million errors to sign. With that money, president Laporte has just tell me, they expect to sign wait for it. Lewandowski, rafinha, retain them belay and Bernardo Silva. In my opinion, they are selling us too much optimistic message. I think that's impossible. If we can't on the selling of Frankie the young about 85 million errors, maybe that could be possible. I think the three four rafinha Lewandowski and then maybe they could have two of the three and Bernardo Silva if they sell Frankie the young. Why not? It could be possible. It looked like an interesting thing with these additions. It is. Ali, is this a good deal with rafinha, at least to start for Barcelona? Well, first of all, who's auditing this? Who's the accountant that is taking this on? Because quite frankly, the conversation around Barcelona in the recent history has been financial struggles. Financial instability. And now you just seem to be mortgaged in the club. You just seem to be well, if we do that, and then we get this, and then if that falls into place and maybe we go after that player, it doesn't look, it doesn't sound like it's the best way to go about running a club. Or running a business for that matter. There's a lot of ifs going on here with Barcelona. Why don't you find stability first? And then you can make decisions. Even if that take a couple of years, hey, look, listen,.

"Rule in football. As much as we pile on Neymar, you look at messy for that last 30 minutes, Jules, and he was a ghost. I mean, I looked at him, I looked at him after the first goal and after the second goal, and after the third quarter I know I saw his him looking down, head down. And maybe it's not that vocal leader we know that. We know that it was maybe in his last season of Basra now, maybe the last 18 months was he seemed to be a bit more vocal, but that's not who he is. Okay, no problem. There's other ways of showing leadership than shouting ice teammates and trying to gather everybody around and say, come on, let's switch back on and let's see this game out and let's grind out a result. There's other ways. And even those ways, even the technical way it didn't do it. I don't know if he was shocked like a lot of people like if he was frozen like pochettino and the touchline, not able to do anything. But I'm sorry, this is not good enough. It's just not good enough and he's not only on him, but again, he's the most experienced player. He's one of the goats. He's one of the greatest ever and I didn't expect him to push his head down and that's it. And this is, this is a player that has been struggling at home this season, whether because he didn't want to because he could not anymore, if someone talking about ages who, again, is not where he was even a year ago. So this is difficult for everyone, but certainly the fact that he completely disappeared. This integrated in the last half hour was quite incredible to witness. How do you explain this, Stevie? Messi? She's getting old. Is this as simple as that? He's getting old. And when you get an old, you're the last one number one to figure it out. But you keep kidding you sail on that the next time you do something that's going to be what you used to do. But it doesn't work though. But still surely his influence can be more than it was. As you'll say, you can lift your head. You can get involved. You can try and get this team going again because you're messy because of what you've achieved because people look up to you the way they do. Well, this may seem a little harsh, but you know what it is. See that little thing in there that beats away. That's what it boils down to. When things get hard, who's got the heart for it? And as you said, one of the greatest players has ever kicked the ball put his head down. Does that mean he's lost, he's lost his appetite for the game, maybe he has. I think one of the things with Greek players when they get normal and messy is not the first great player to play past their prime and to decline. But I think the difference is who you put around those players and how they're utilized in recognizing that they're on the decline. And sticking lessons to but more to the point of Neymar does not does not make up for Lionel Messi's decline. It just it highlights it. And that's what you've seen. Gemma, what's ever been the reaction in Spain, particularly to Messi? Well, we've seen that Messi, I know that Messi, I've been saying that messy for the last four years when things were going wrong wrong. Messi has never been a shouting leader never. This was one of the big problems of Barcelona when Carlos pujol and chubby left. There was not a shouting leader that when the things go ugly, they can shout and make the team shake and have a reaction. Don't worry, they don't expect that Julianne of massive because he has never ever not everyone who was at his best this kind of player. So the reaction in Spain is Spain is all about Benzema to a moderate and a Real Madrid, but in Barcelona. Somehow John laporta, he's getting a little bit of recognition of maybe what he did because it was there was no way to keep that player being paid. So much to make her to a renewal to the team. So at some point, they'd say, okay, maybe it was the time to say goodbye to Leonel Messi, because we have been seeing this Leonel Messi looking down at the page at one things go ugly. Joel, what the heck are PS you're going to do? And Baba is going to leave, pochettino is going to leave. I know that's not really a big deal considering the lack of input or lack of influence he's had, but you start with Neymar, you're stuck with Messi up top. You're trying to get someone like Zidane, does he really want the job? The project's done, isn't it? It's not done I think, but the next moves now are going to be crucial. They are going to be crucial. We know already that the ownership in the eye is not happy. I think that's our life. Could go. I think you should go. I think you know when we talked about things in common with all those failures, the Barcelona one, the master of the united one in Paris, even the Chelsea one. It was the chairman in all those times. He was there. And I think the mindset of the club that we've been mentioning, the direction the club has been taken. This is also his. And I think for me, he has to pay the price now. Same with you now though, who is clearly, I mean, let alone the attitude after the defeat on Wednesday night and what happened with in the tunnels and the referee dressing room and all of that. But I think they have had the time they've had a chance for Leonardo twice even because he was there. Left came back. I'm sorry, but a nice time for something new. And in terms of manager, someone who can bring an identity to this team, someone who is not scared not to play Neymar. The only reason why I think pochettino keeps Neymar and on that page for 90 minutes, which is a crazy thing. It's because he must be scared somehow of taking him off otherwise, but you know he's an intelligent guy. There's no way he's seeing the same game as us. There's no way he's thinking, yeah, I'm going to keep name eyes. Oh, what is amazing tonight? It's been a really good game. He's going to turn things around. So was he scared to take him off? Is he not allowed to take him out? I don't know, but whoever comes next has to have more freedom of doing what he wants and be ready to take the big course. Drop Messi, drop Neymar, drop martinos if he's not going all those players with status at the club should not have those status and the next manager whether he's done or Stevie Nicola or whoever else they want to pick, we'll have to be able to make this decisions. Steve, we've just played the clip of him calling him a butler. Go out there and we roll. Right, Jeff, let's talk about the team that advanced, shall we? An extraordinary night at.

"Of course could have been convinced i understand today but we could not ask a player of macy's quality to do that a. Gem why is he saying now. And what's the reaction been in spain to these comments. Okay lead. we put that in context thing. We will talk about the consequences. What are we talking about okay. So this was an interview with catalan radio. The president was very very confident about like a fine relationship with journalists and at some point the journalists ask there. Was there a last minute call. Because there were rumors. The nightclub salona made official statement. That messes leaving. There were a rumor there was like a midnight phone call so the question was about that and john. Laporta said something like this never happened but a he said something like baron sir component the loose cutting edge. Were these literally means. I had a hope. And you can say. I'm a dreamer that he at some point. We'll say i want to play pretty so these doesn't mean that the president thinks he shoot off say i. I want to play for free. Because what barcelona a deter me a blah blah blah so. It's not like he thought he would say that. But in during the night after that Very harsh announcement that the best play you're ever in. Barcelona will leave after this president. Say in his presidential campaign. That i will arrange these in In barbecue so it was like a dream but of course these interviewed a highlight the headlines. Were these you should have played for free. Maybe here in in barcelona that the the the reaction were not asked harsh like madrid in the rest of the world because of course he didn't mean he should have done it says so it's more something that you say in confidence that i was dreaming at night that maybe messy for what he means part for this club but the reaction of course everybody knows misty. He's been the best player in the world. Probably silliest so of course he doesn't have to play for free for allah laporta has been around for long enough to know that if he say something like this even though he says it was a dream what the headlines are going to say the next day absolutely. Why is he talking to catalan anyways. Why why why continue to bring this out. Why continue rehash this conversation. You're trying to move away from this and it's almost if you're trying to create this image that i did all i could i apologize. I'm sorry but you know what it really isn't my fault. you know. I did everything that was there to even if it is in passing even if it is just sort of kind of this casual conversation the gymnasts talking about it's still paints a picture of a team an organization that needed to be treated like a charity case. And that's not barcelona and it should not be alone and that doesn't change the fact that this club is in the situation that it is that again. The club president would. It wanted the best player in the history of this club to treat the club like a charity case. Even if it's in passing that's just the image that it portrays when you say. I hope that he will just pay play for free. Come on now. If you're joan laporta and if you're a barcelona you have to be better than this entails what we all thought. I think some sort of joke even even even if he said it the way jim explained the translation care. Why are you even senate. And let's not forget how this whole messy and his dad goes go in the stadium thinking we're going to extend the we're going to sign a new deal everything there so everything was agreed and then at that moment upon times people say actually you know what there's a problem we canoe because we don't have the money's imagine the shock and then you still expect him to go is okay. You're and he's okay. We friends i'm gonna play for free now. In what worlds is the cabinet world again. We go about something. It does laporta things you see the world. Does this where we are now. I mean come on this club. This club is the gift that keeps on giving. I'm telling you that right now. Cab world anyway. It's probably not such a character. Well to think that lionel messi might win his seventh foulon he is the favourite with the oddsmakers behind tame robert levin. Dark skin something. That will please. So many on this panel gino oak in the list as well. There are a number of names that have come into the shortlist at the thirty nominees. Some of the usual suspects some more of a surprise. So.

We'll we'll be on their radar boston. A given their financial troubles given hope. Pull this squad is right. No sydney i deferred these performing. I'm not to show that any of those preferred targets will want to take over this job. Not right no. That's just what we do. See chevy's name as well. Is this some issue between john. Parr chevy because we've heard him saying that he doesn't think he's got the right amount of experience just yet but we know that pep guardiola was put into a role without much experience at all and that was under the party to an costa portrait. Had guaviare is the base in coach. I think he would very much like chevy to coach in spain for a while before they can over the ball signed job for the polls would absolutely love chevy to be managed by. There's another element here which is difficult entirely. Put your finger on. Put fairly simply chevy had aligned himself with victor font who was the other presidential candidate who lost to the porter now. It's certainly true that wants the poultry. Fridays hat into the ring chubby went very quiet and he backs away from being a supporter of everybody knew that he was the guy that was going to be in charge. The hosts pulsing project underfund. Now i think the fact that saudi backed away tells you didn't want to annoy the porter. He wanted to still have the possibility of guys. The club. we've laporta an felt a degree of affection for water. From the last time that the poultry being president degree of connection is it f. Be openly in line with another. Presidential candidate wants laporta. Have become a candidate as well button. Poultry of course knows that in the eyes of public opinion and the ad is of most people who are boss loaner members and indeed positive fans who are not members therefore didn't vote but still support the club. They still look at this and think okay but we know in a way that chevy was once man and i think that provides or imposes on laporta a certain degree of nervousness. And i certainly wouldn't call it rejection. But i think a degree of caution about taking that step or at least about second just yet. What did you make any difference said. That's the that's the key question isn't it. That is the key question. And i guess. He's very very difficult to answer that now. Criminals keeps on saying we know what the problem is its financial. We've got to be really stick. He said the other day the to finish in the high positions in which we assume means talk for what. We don't actually know what you meant. Well that would be a success that we can't expect miracles in the league..

Afghanistan War: What Do Veterans Think About the Withdrawal?
"Americans served in the war. Nearly 2500 service members lost their lives. James Laporta is a former Marine infantry rifleman who first arrived in Afghanistan in 2000 and nine while on patrol. It's about 110 degrees outside, but as soon as you walk into the fields, the fields are irrigated and So they're incredibly humid. "The show we nine on. Msnbc there is a lot going on tonight. Particularly four friday. A lot of news that we are tracking james laporta. Jim laporta is a us marine. He was an infantryman who was a veteran of the war in afghanistan Mr laporta is also now an excellent journalist. We've had him here on the show several times featuring his reporting For among other places the military times. Mr laporta now works as an investigative correspondent for the associated. Press and tonight. He was first to break the news. That a new phase is underway or at least a new resources being brought to bear on the evacuation effort in afghanistan. This is very interesting and potentially important mr porter first to report at the today that forces neff ghanistan including intelligence agencies have started using helicopters to pick people up to safely bring them to the kabul airport so they can be airlifted out. He said today quote. I've been sitting on this but can now report. Us helicopters ferried ninety six afghans for evacuation signaling military flights occurring outside kabul airport. Cia dia which means defense intelligence agency and sos special. Operations forces are collecting up us and afghans from outside kabul airport for not rescue. Now soon after james laporta posted that late. This afternoon zeke miller and three other reporters at a p had this full story quote. Us military helicopters flew into taliban held kabul on friday. To scoop up would be evacuees. American officials confirmed the today senior. American military officials told the that an american c. h. forty seven chinook helicopter picked up afghans mostly women and children and ferried them to hamid karzai international airport on friday the third brigade combat team. The army's eighty second airborne. Division airlifted the afghans from camp sullivan. Which is quite near the kabul airport. The officials said such sorties have been underway for several days from various points in kabul as afghan seek to flee the country taken over by the taliban intelligence teams inside kabul or helping guide both americans and afghans and their families to the airport or arranging for them to be rescued by other means. Now this is interesting for those living. In cities and provinces outside of kabul cia case officers special operation forces and agents from the defense intelligence agency on the ground are gathering some us citizens and some afghans who worked for the us at predetermined pickup sites. Again that's outside of kabul quote. The officials would not detail where these airlift sites. Were for security reasons. They spoke on condition of anonymity. Because they were not authorized to discuss ongoing. Let it be so that these are ongoing operations and that this reflects not just new ambition but new capability. Let's hope this can work to get more people safely out as the situation. Outside the airport in kabul stays bad as it seems to be getting if anything even more dangerous with each passing day as of this evening the pentagon is only confirming some of the ap's reporting on the record about helicopters being used to fill airlift people to safety Pentagon's only only confirming some of that. But but since some of this reporting is about not just military operations but also what's being described as intelligence agency operations. It's perhaps not surprising that the pentagon might be confirming it. Not saying that. Because i know anything that's not been printed or reported. I'm just saying that based on what i know about the pentagon not confirming anything about what intelligence agencies do as a general course we shall see we shall see on the record and out loud. The pentagon did say today that they greatly increase the number of people. They were able to get out from the airport today. They announced at the beginning of this week. You might remember that. They thought the upper limit of how many people the us could logistically get out literally the number of seats. They'd have an airplane. Each day would be between five thousand and nine thousand seats per day which meant five thousand. Nine thousand people per day could be evacuated and we heard that number at the beginning of that week. And since then it's been t disheartening each day to hear the hear them report to us that actually the total number of people who were able to be put on planes and were able to be taken out each day. He's been way lower than that. At the beginning of the week it was less than a thousand people by yesterday they'd gotten up to about two thousand people flown out in one day still way short of the physical capacity for what they can do but then today it seems like something started happening today. They said they flew out. Five thousand seven hundred people which means they are starting to fill the seats if the maximum capacity per day is five thousand two nine thousand seats and today they got over five thousand people out. Well that is. That is what we have been hoping for that. Every available seat will be filled. That's also reportedly what president biden ordered military commanders to get done to get the seats filled on all these flights to have no empty seats on any plane leaving kabul so a lot of interesting news a lot potentially inter not just interesting but potentially important news. They're coming out today including into this evening. We're going to have more coming up. Live with nbc's pentagon correspondent courtney kuby. You've actually multiple updates on that situation coming up. Tonight's stick with us for that this hour. We're also tonight. Going to be checking in with a doctor a pulmonologist which means he's a specialist in the respiratory system Who is not only working in. Just the right field. He's also working right in the bullseye of one of the most overwhelmed communities in the country right now in terms of hospital capacity having run out statewide days ago while the patient numbers in that state have still been rising precipitously every day since then couldn't be speaking with that doctor live coming up in just a few minutes as well. I have to tell you amazingly today. The state health officer for the great of mississippi was asked to comment on weird disturbing new reports in in that very hard hit state right mississippi the hospitals are full federal government and charitable groups are now coming in setting up field hospitals. Like in the parking garages of the state's flagship medical center. Mississippi low vaccine uptake seems to have just doomed to the states hospitals. That's the huge number of new infections and newly very sick people are just swamping the system in that state that frankly has enough to deal with. They are now facing a new challenge. Related to cove it. The mississippi state department of health confirming that quote at least seventy percent of the recent calls to poison control and mississippi have been related to ingestion of livestock or animal formulations of ivermectin purchased at livestock supply centers..

I'm giving where the kid who ran on to the field of the fc cincinnati eight year. Old mugger success we ran onto the field picked up the kid and brought him back to their seats without any stock which of clay or were coming over even fell. She picked him up just fell. Or how how. Many bob said she and her in or you know husband parter had like how did they let a two year old. Just jump climb over the fence like that. I wasn't watching. I just didn't really. Move yeah that was awesome because the play was just going down to the other end of like nobody in the mississippi but yeah that was that was quite a quite a little clip. Mikey The king is back and he's better than ever and i love him now. I am the world's biggest josie marino manager of romance see fan. That's ever lived the fact that he didn't bring a trophy spurs and now is back to its bullshit makes me love him and i don't know if you watch the bettys friendly which i did on saturday. They went down to not ten not nine but eight men and and him and his assistant were sent off. He walked right behind the bench vancouver and sat down four behind his bench. They went down to eight men and they played with seven outfield players for the last twenty five minutes in a five two loss to bet this. It was to put it lightly hysterical. Like the most fun i've had. It might have been a match. The i might have watched my favorite game of the year last saturday but josie marino. I will be following that roma team intently for the remainder of the season. I am all back on board. I love josie marino now with firs. He did nothing but go well. That was always nervous. You were going to have a trophy. And that i wouldn't say that you've gone five thousand years trophy but now he's come and gone. You didn't win anything. So i'm fucking back in love with him again. Well god bless roma for bringing him back so quickly. So we're gonna have to go. Not this eight nine and a friendly finishing eight men and he got a red card. Just a mini tried to fight. The refugee walked out all the way halfway. A just an unbelievable hull the guy. I love him more. Roma tell you that much But i still love the guy Good call outs all. I'm going to go. With the joanne. Laporta president of barcelona who came in promising the world the moon and stars and to bring messy back and it was incredibly clear once the all. The full details became apparent that he brought nothing to the table. He did absolutely nothing and he didn't even come close to really messy back just a quite a snake it till you make it move on his part while done to to him and now. He's going to oversee. Barcelona and god knows where they had. If i was in barcelona fan i would be scared shitless right now. I will say that i don't feel too bad for them because they were trophies than you know than my club has ever won in its hidden existence just a couple of years but it is not a good time. We barcelona joined the porta is my goya annette's it. We got the english premier league. Starting on friday saturday morning early sunday morning early. It is back off feels so good. I can't wait for the book that's gonna promoted. Yeah the ex g philosophy. Jj they tweeted the expected goals per ninety minutes last season for messy. It was point eight. Two neymars was point. Eight four and bought they was point. Eight seven so the x g per ninety minutes was two and a half goals per game. We're talking. We're sitting here talking about like i don't know if they're gonna be able to defend well if they're tina scoring three goals like at least on a nightly basis like how much i don't know how much defending or you're going to have to do all of a sudden all of a sudden mass. He's going to be on a team. Because i i know. I'm not not obviously speaking for everyone. In the in the you know the spanish speaking world because i knew it's not the case that there's a lot of rail madrid finds out there fans of other teams too. I understand that. Jj if barcelona if joan laporta if if he knew all along because you hear these stats about even if messy had volunteered to play the season for free they still would not have been able to do it within the parameters of lolitas rules and it wasn't even close and so like i know barcelona and laporta were saying that you know what we just got back our financial audit. We don't we didn't know until now bs there's just no way. The numbers are not close. Enough where you couldn't have possibly known until hours before messy was supposed to sign this deal. "With cooper about that before we get off of this and move to the epl preview. Which i know is why most of you are here. Although i'm guessing all of you who loved the sport are interested in this topic on messy. This is unbelievable what we've been watching Real quick on. Ps g So now we're looking at a team that has messy imbaba neymar as a front three They've brought in. I mean and the fact that they've done all this business on free transfers with ramos and messy and wynalda Who there was. There's somebody else do that. I'm forgetting But at any rate this team is insane. And i've i've kind of heard the narrative put out there. Yeah donald trump that's right there goalkeeper. Who won the tournament the euros. I mean my god. It's madness And so like. I will say credit to ps g. Yeah they gotta pay all this money in wages but they've done a lot on free transfers so You know at least they're keeping their spending in check somewhat in that way the thing i've heard now with regards to the upcoming season and moreover so with champions league is that this champions league now almost feels like a foregone conclusion. I would caution people to pump the brakes on that. I don't feel that way. I'm not saying the. Ps g won't be great and they would probably be my probably. They will be my favorite to win it but a front three. Let me ask you right now. Front three of of messy at thirty four Imbaba and neymar imbaba at the beginning of his prime name. All right in the middle of it is that a more intimidating front three. Then the messi neymar suarez front three at barcelona. And then i mean every year and that team had any esta and other greats. And i'm psg do to but it wasn't a foregone conclusion necessarily that that bar team was gonna win every year saw. I'm not willing to say that. This is any kind of foregone conclusion whatsoever. No and sport has a way of of humbling. The mighty and i think it was only a couple of weeks ago. We were talking about the business. That ps were doing signing donna room by the way signing sergio ram also will now be a teammate of lena. Messy yeah unbelievable but We we talked about this team. And you know. I'm not fully convinced about them. Defensively as good as martinez says as experienced as roma's Compound not convinced by you know. There's there's ways to get them and also you might have to get them because look at their record of the last few seasons. Maybe the changes this season but neymars never be one hundred percent fit for them when it came to the business. End of the champions league on imbaba struggled with injury last season two so i would tend to are on the side of caution before i go pilot money on with them. Yeah and there's a lot of players that are gonna be on this team. The back three that you mentioned martinez compan- day rama's i actually do think highly of those players. But we all know that in this sport. Defending is a team concept. It doesn't necessarily just fall to those players at the back. So i just wonder okay. They've put together outrageously talented. You know all time. Great attack-minded team but do they have players. That will buy into any kind of team concept when it comes to defending having to track back. I don't know so like back. Might be very good. But i just wonder is like like could any back three without help from other parts of the field be able to withstand that. Yeah i know. But i'm gonna correct course at a bit on this like someone like variety is top quality professional and. I don't think you could question him. In that. regard there They've got other midfielders as well. That will do that job. I'm i'm just saying that people shouldn't you know. Jump to to conclusions yet. I i still think. It's gonna be fascinating. The on as much as i hit this project. I can't wait for the book that's gonna promoted. Yeah the ex g philosophy. "But that's where my end at jammer. If this was a moment that surprise lionel messi which we did see obviously. It wasn't anything that he expected when he arrived to the offices that day. How did it go down in barcelona with all the boss a funds. Nobody was expecting this. Were they know que. No one was expecting that funds. Everyone was kind of prepared last year because a player who wanted to leave but one year later he wants to say that club wants him to stay and it didn't happen so it chocking it surprising i agree with. Gabby there are many things that still we don't know and a part of that. Of course award has starved. It starter four months ago with that. These are combination of less super league but definitely 'bout celena not taking money and leaving sacrificing his beloved captain layer massive means. They will try to go for that. So we have a new war of football with that super liga project so you rightfully asked a lot of questions last time around urban your article last week before we'd heard from john laporta in his press conference before we'd heard from lionel messi now after everything that has gone down. Do you believe that this is. It's over between the two parties. But i'm not going to believe it on jill. Leonor massey's unveiled as man player. I think this whole situation is so illogical so absurd all happen before which from the audit that but then they weren't short and the audit turned out to be worse than expected to them. Can meeting all these bums. I mean make community about on this formula as it can get something brian about fifty million dollars which is roughly messy would have cost. I don't know what kind of business are they running when you do that. But for you have the audit i to me just too many questions. i think. Part of something bigger something that the part is doing for whatever reason and turkey into it's in the best interests of the club plus i can only assume that you know. Even now this is part of a bigger story perhaps being probably melita possibly involving around the the super league as well And i think there's gonna be more stuff to come out because too many people but to connecticut have come out and said this is wrong resignations. We've had as i mentioned before you know. Somebody like john. Otis saying you know i. I know that the contract was ready and was approved by the league up until a few games ago. So it just resorting me. It's this is a power play between join the potter and heavier tie bus. Doesn't everybody lose. If messy leaves of course on the one hand laporta was down in infamy as as the president who allowed messy to to leave the camp. No i'm not under macy's message. Tombs fatigue us. of course. this is a strike against the league league at loss. Christiano renaldo couple years ago no you lose lose messy to the best players of this generation and it detracts from the league as as a spectacle as as something that draws spectators to it regardless of of support and and. That's that's a difficult to swallow as well but until says defense if he's strict with the rules and is not being flexible. I don't have an issue with that on laporta a going on in infamy but it's a situation is not a tall of his making. Yes yes answer for the four signings that he still coming register but being in this position at a club in this much debt on the salaries out they have committed as not been his making. Maybe estimated it but now we have this rather ridiculous situation that it seems only french football benefits from but temperatures got problem here because has once will be hall a. Tim Cook's Bad Day in Epic vs Apple
"All about the apple versus epic trial epic versus apple. It's i i was safe backwards. Epic versus apple epics the planet literally the testimony portion of the trial wrapped up minutes ago from you and i are talking. There is sort of fake version of closing arguments on monday where both layers are. Just gonna get asked questions. Bu the judge from what. I understand which is probably going to be way more fun than normal closing arguments probably way more fun also the term. Everyone is using for that. Closing argument is a hot tub ing which is very funny. Laporta will be in the courtroom for the hot tub ing but the actual testimony all the witnesses on the stand all the presentations of evidence wrapped up today. This week saw phil schiller craig. Federici tim cook on the stand. There's a lot to talk about their but wish to start with what just happened. Because the absolute end of the testimony portion of the trial with tim cook on the stand was fireworks. It just went sideways. There was very boring for a week. Lots of experts that we're not even talking about because they were so boring and then the judge kind of just in the tim cook. What happened at he. Yeah so you. A judge yvonne gonzalez rogers who is gonna be writing the opinion on the case and who occasionally interjects with some usually pretty interesting but very short questions. They more or less finished examining tim cook. And then judge rogers two steps in with a question and she's like okay. Well it seems like most of the revenue in the app store comes from games. So what's wrong with telling people that they can go and making purchases elsewhere. And then that just kicks off this ten minute long discussion where she and tim cook this like surprisingly testy exchange over whether it makes sense that once apple put like once a developer put something in the store apple brings enough value that it should get a cut of like whatever happens in that out forever. Yeah and to me. This is kind of the central question at the heart of this. Trial is who is in control of your phone in apple's answer kind of nakedly. Throughout his win we are in control of your phone

Trump reportedly called service members "losers" and "suckers"
"Again in the Atlantic and it sets the scene all the way back in two thousand eighteen when trump was in. Paris he was supposed to visit a cemetery for soldiers who died in war and if you'll remember he didn't actually end up going because he said the helicopter couldn't fly because it was raining. And there was a big deal about that obviously because he was afraid of a little rain. He also tried to claim that the secret service wouldn't drive but Jeffrey Goldberg says neither claim was true. In reality he says trump rejected the idea of visit because he feared his hair would become disheveled in the rain and because he did not believe it was important honor American war dead in that is according to four people with firsthand knowledge of discussion that day. He goes on to say in a conversation with senior staff members on the morning of the scheduled visit. Trump said quote why should I go to that cemetery? It's filled with losers. It continues in a separate conversation on the same trip trump referred to more than eighteen hundred marines who lost their lives at Bellawood as quote suckers for getting killed. Bellawood was apparently consequential battle in American history I don't remember it off the top of my head, but I'm just reading what's in the article here. And it says that in that same trip talking about world war. One trump asked who are the good guys in this war? He also said that he didn't understand why the United States would intervene on the side of the allies. Now you'll remember he said this about John McCain back in two thousand fifteen but lost. So I, never liked him as much after that because I don't like interest. But but Frank Franklin. We get to He. He's war hero. He's a war. He's a war hero presumes capture. I like people that weren't captured. Okay. I hate to. The article says that trump had remained fixated on McCain in that when he died back in August twenty, eighteen trump told his senior staff this time according to three sources with direct knowledge of quote we going to support that losers funeral end quote and that he became furious when he saw flags lowered to half-staff saying quote what the F. Are we doing that for guy was a f Ing Loser The White House denies this whole report by the way saying, then the Anti Yadda trump's supported the military more than any president. The article continues according to sources with knowledge of the president's views. He seems to genuinely not understand why Americans treat former prisoners of war with respect. Nor does he understand why pilots who are shot down in combat are honored by the military on at least two occasions since becoming president according to three sources with direct knowledge of his views trump referred to former president George h.w Bush as a quote loser for being shot down by the Japanese. This is where it starts to really get cruel on memorial day twenty, seventeen trump went with then department of Homeland Security Secretary John, Kelly to Arlington Cemetery. The article says the two men were set to visit section sixty, the fourteen acre area of the cemetery that it is burial ground for those killed in America's most recent wars. Kelly son Robert is buried in section sixty according to sources with knowledge of this visit trump while standing by Robert Kelly's grave turned directly to John Kelly in said quote I don't get it what was in it for them. Kelly said he originally thought trump was making a ham handed reference to these selflessness of America's all volunteer force. But later he came to realize that trump simply does not understand non transactional life choices. This is coming from one of Kelly's friends who Goldberg says a retired four. Star General. This friend says quote he can't fathom the idea of doing something for someone other than himself. He just thinks that anyone who does anything when there's no direct personal gain to be had is a sucker. There's no money in serving the nation trump can't imagine anyone else's pain. That's why he would say this to the father of a fallen marine on Memorial Day in the cemetery where he's buried. It goes on to talk about how trump is basically used the military as props how he thinks they answer only to not the constitution as evidenced by his gassing of peaceful protesters in officer who had firsthand knowledge of trump's views says quote. He has a lot of fear. He doesn't see the heroism in fighting and then Goldberg says several observers told me that trump is deeply anxious about dying or being disfigured in this worry manifests itself as disgust for those who have suffered. Than it tells another story about how trump falsely claimed he called quote virtually all of the family members of service members who had died during his term, and then when family started speaking out and saying, no, you didn't trump had to begin rush shipping condolences to those families. Felt last paragraph ends on, which is actually pretty profound. I didn't expect you know something. So big to be saved for the end I thought would be the author's own thoughts but it says in a twenty eighteen White House planning meeting for such an event trump asked to staff not to include wounded veterans on grounds that spectators would feel uncomfortable in the presence of amputees quote nobody wants to see that end quote. I think to me the details really do add credibility and he says he's talking to three or four sources all the time. But it got really interesting here when the Associated Press confirmed his sources essentially this tweet from James Laporta an investigative reporter former marine infantryman. Now, obviously, with the Associated Press, the port a tweeted out yesterday a senior Defense Department official I just spoke with confirmed this story by Jeffrey. Goldberg in its entirety especially the graphs about late senator, John McCain and former Marine General John Kelly president. Donald Trump's former chief of staff. So before that, you had people trying to push out, wouldn't say this. Of course, he didn't say this this is false. Trump. Himself devoted three tweets to claiming that was just a hoax made up by the media who are hungry to You know and his political career.
