Now what have I been jamming first off? I usually don't listen to singles nor talk about them. Prefer to listen to the entire project but I am really dig in this new a lantis smiling track. It's classic Atlantis. I mean it has me excited for the album and just happy that she is still making amazing music. Now I'm working my way through royse the five nine the allegory. It's twenty two songs and in our in eight minutes long. Soa Is GonNa take me a minute. I mean in this new world of EPA's anything longer than thirty minutes is a mission to get through but Royce is classic hip hop he is woke af and so are his kids. His interludes with his kids included includes him quizzing them on woke facts. I taught them. It's a heavy won't because it deals with race in America and its history with race. The production is incredible. I WANNA have expected anything less from Royce now Christian hip hop albums whole the broken heart. Keep your eyes on this kid. So that is the only reason I checked out this kid. 'cause I'm Craig Fan? I didn't learn that craze signed him to I didn't. I didn't learn that cray signed him until I listened to the EP and then I started researching the kid now dudas talented and he looks like a regular dude like nothing about him. Screams artist so watching his visuals on. Youtube is kind of mind blowing. I mean each track on the EP has a visual. So you can choose how you would like to digest his prajit cold world or cold water and if I gave it all our my standouts But the entire album. You can listen from start to finish. I mean it's an EP It's super short. The run time for this one is wall on Apple Music. Obviously that's why I have Include it's only six tracks but it also includes the visuals on it so it says that it's twenty or forty minutes but I'm GonNa just cut that in half because it's literally like a double album with visuals. So it's probably only twenty minutes so you see it's easier for me to run through twenty minutes than in our eight minutes like royster five nine so I did get to get through all these a few times And it's definitely worth a

Let's get into the election situation. I I did I brought in two dozen donuts. The office today, I always bring donuts on election day that it's still election day who were still counting the votes here. Here's the state of play right now with the election in Georgia. A federal judge has ordered Gwinnett. County to review absentee ballots and accept absentee ballots. That are signed and the identities verified they were rejecting ballots that weren't completely filled out but under Georgia law. You only actually need to sign the ballot and have it matched the voter registration card. If the signatures do not match it can be rejected. But if it matches you need to accept it. Now, I am told reliably that it only affects three thousand five hundred or so ballots in Gwinnett county, total now there are eight thousand outstanding. Even in the best case scenario, she may get twelve thousand ballots. She needs eighteen thousand for recount and twenty thousand for a run off assuming that she were to win all of the outstanding votes as so it doesn't look like it. There are about twelve thousand votes left now and she needs twenty thousand four. A runoff. She needs eighteen thousand for a recount, it just doesn't appear that there will be enough votes. But she's not, you know, no, one wants to see like if I saw comments of her with that Manuel Manuel being like, oh, you guys are so great, and I will be living. So it's fair. Anyways, we do the thing. And she started following me. She was sold like shoot on social media all this stuff. So it started building up all of a sudden we were kind of like France somehow in the weirdest way. So then a couple of weeks ago. Actually, this is in about August. I get a DM from win rose. So long story short. I I don't even know why told the whole interaction thing I loved it. I don't even more either way she it became gone with thing. Right. So as you said when you meet someone in real life. I'm not looking at him like sexually. It's weird. It's very weird. And like, so everyone started making a thing. Oh, you've Cecil Rhodes all this stuff. And I was like it's good for like business as dumb as that is like it's a brand. Like, look we're talking about it right now. It's crazy like whenever I go on any podcast. Anything people are like, oh, tell me about land roads. So I was like I would always talk about it. More is good, right? But my sister came to the office in she doesn't I don't think she looks like people are like, oh is that lane roads. Then they're like, oh, your sister looks like I don't think she does. But someone said that and then they're like, oh Dave was like on the run out. Oh, your sister looks like your favorite porn star. So then they're like saying that and I'm like hold up. "He is offered several of my winning candidates positions within his government. Brian Lantis also promised to bring the legislature back to work later this year. What are you going to do when he does that? Well, if indeed they have discussion to on Thursday, but if indeed he brings the legislature back if that's where the left end governor, you know rules and we bring them back in November, then he will bring throne speech forward. And at that time there, there will be a vote of confidence or not within the within the legislature, we will determine at that point where goes further not now. I think it's important also say that if if if it goes that far and if he's defeated then within the legislature that does not trigger another election, what all that does is is basically then the Lieutenant governor would look to me and say, well, you have the most seats and then election, and we're going to ask now. To form a minority government with the and and working with the other parties. So how confident are you that you can bring Mr. Glenn down and form that government? I'm very, I'm quite confidentially very confident because of his record. He can't change his record and he can't change his pots just because he's now forced to do so who are you willing to work with to win power? It's it's not about winning power as much as it is about moving the province forward, forming a government, then we'll say, how's that? Yes, yes. I'm willing to work with anyone that's interested in the best interest of the province. And and you know, we will have fundamental differences. I mean, we have, we have aims and principles in our party that will be non-negotiable and, and you know, that can be around language rights and language protection so that that's not a negotiated item. It's something that our party believes in here too. But in the case of looking for commonality and other aspects of their platforms, any of the parties, there's opportunities to move forward on religious and. And I will work with anyone to to that language rights is not negotiable, but we know that the people's alliance leader, Chris Austin made very clear. This is a key plank in their platform is a lot of duplication in having francophone and English services. At the same time. Would you be willing to consider pulling back on on language rights in the broadens? Well, we have very fundamental policies in in protection of language rights within our constitution of party, and we won't be changing that. I think that the can you work with Mr. Austin? Well, because because you know, he's being elected to to look at the fairness within our system, and I think where we have issues of fairness in relation to amnesty service, Helen, we're, we're the government had actually take challenge than arbitration hearing that suggested that we put a paramedics on the ambulance and not focus on whether they can speak French or English, but make sure they're there to protect health of citizens. Glenn has. Challenge that in court that he's gonna put language over lives. We don't agree with that either. One of your new Emily's Rebecca has already said that he is not particularly open. He thinks difficulties as to associate with the people's alliance. Are you not at risk a losing francophone support, not even within the broader community, but within your own political party and your own potential government if you do this? Well, I mean, well, you say if I do this so I don't want to make any sumptious of what doing this means. I made it very clear that that we have fundamental language rights and protections within our own constitution, and within the constitution of the province in in the country. For that matter, we're not. We're not putting those at risk and we're not. We're not proposing changing those and I appreciate robots concerned and in he has no worries, no fears in that regard. Let's just get right to it. Like first of all, we'll get into the Nikki south on a second quick shots on the VM as which by the way I only watched because I knew I was going to talk to you about them. Same. Right. Now, would you think? I think overall, I think it's what we expected to be. You know, whatever's VM as who even watches music videos anymore. I mean, I do, but as far as demand can TV doesn't even play music videos, which is why it's so rich to me. They have like best video of the year. You don't even play any of these. How would anyone that purely watches? MTV even know whether Camila Cabello had the best video of the year. You don't play it? Exactly. And it's it's a shame because I don't know how the Carters do not get best video when they shut down the loo. Thank you. Hers video funding, the Mona Lisa, but that's a whole nother conversation. It's a whole other conversation. I say some of the bigger highlights from the VM as where jaylo and her performance. She shut it down and I give it to j. lo because she has been relevant since she was a junkie Fleischer on in living color. But I do agree with some of the public opinion and that how do you give someone like Jennifer Lopez, video vanguard award before you give someone like prince or Missy Elliott one who are true artists. I mean, j. lo is a true entertainer and from her she's a hustler, but how do you recognize if it's supposed to be about the music aspect of it? How do you not recognize? I mean, printers an icon and I'd say Missy Elliott who really, especially for her time kind of revolutionized not only what it was to be a producer and a performer and a dancer, an innovator. I mean, she checked every box when she was high for a longer about of time than jaylo did in the music landscape. So I do understand. So I hate to be like the what about is, what about this person? What about that person? But I did a little bit of an issue with the fact that there was probably some more deserving artists that could have got that kind of quote, unquote icon award if you will. However, I felt that way until she came out there and gold, and I was like, never mind yours. So hot and do whatever you want to know. I do agree with you on that because Missy Elliott revolutionized the music video and self with with cast and the rain that was probably one of the videos of all time. But also we got a big up my man jar rule because it was nobody more excited tabby VM as John. The pri- Jarl who has only been relevant of late because of a the Frye festival and because he just keeps trolling people on Twitter, that was fun..

"It is where it Lantis sold at this particular point in time hip hop roles, leaks Nashville set. Everywhere in between Ellen Fitz talk and music l. how can this? We are back with the most creatively named podcast in all of the land fail and fits talking news. It's Ellen Fitz, talk music. What we're talking, but l. as you will know, if you listen, the show is out. She is on maternity leave. She's about to be a first time. Mom a have to stay Eleanor husband to the kindest. Most amazing people had the opportunity to interact with them my life. I will tell you they are going to be incredible parents and we will miss ELS presence on the spot cast. But the podcast, it's going to keep chugging along Gullick junior, who you know all over ESPN is going to be sitting in some helping us get through the time as we wait for l. to maker triumphant return. But we wanna keep bringing you great stuff. So even though even those not there, I'm going to be holding down the fort Kyrie's going to be holding down the fort between the two of us, we will do our best to make up for absence really cool episode come in today. And obviously we've got some great interviews we want to get to, but I wanna start with award shows and it may seem a little strange because we're sitting in the middle of July, but the SP's just happened. And if you watch any ESPN, you saw the experiences and the SBA award show happy. And I saw band sitting on the side of the stage and it really made me think about some of the coolest moments. You know, frankly that I've had in my life and it really made me think about the impact award shows are huge and people make fun of country all the time because there's like three thousand awards shows in the what? Why are there twenty seven award shows for country music blow because people watch them all because the numbers show that the ratings for the country music awards most years outperform the Grammys. So think about that more people are watching the as ACM's than watching the Grammys. Okay. So that's why there's so many country music awards shows, and that's why so many acts flock to be on them. When you see these pop acts going on the country award shows people think that's country being thirsty is not right. Let's make that clear. It's poppy thirsty pop wants that audience. They want that chance to be in front of as many people as possible. In fact, you could make the argument that the backstreet boys sitting on a new single that went to number one on streams, downloads form that part of that resurgence, a huge part of that resurgence for them was being on the country music awards and being with the Florida Georgia. Line. So I wasn't surprised to see them playing their new single on the t. awards. So I'm looking at the SP's and I'm thinking about impact for us. We did one song with the man Perry and for anyone knew just tune in never doesn't know my background. I was fiddle player and bandleader for the band Perry for six years, and we did all the awards you could ever imagine, but they're too specific performances. It really will always stand out my head and my career overall one ACM wards up Vegas and we were planning on call done and you can look it up. It's out on YouTube..
