"When we left PhD off. Two women were both claiming to be the mother of a rosy cheeked baby boy. The judge tried several tests to see who was telling the truth but nothing seemed to work. The judge promised the women he would resolve their case so as the clock struck noon. He asked his clerk to bring him three three kings a bowl of rice a plate of noodles and a pot of green tea when the clerk returned the judge sniff to to the rice. He poked up noodles. He sloshed T.. Around in the then he turned toward the woman in red and the woman in Blue Ladies. He's as I mentioned a case as unusual as this one requires unusual methods. I'm talking about. He waved a hand in the air. Fortunes the winning gasped. Yes I the judge will attempt to look into the future and and based on what the future tells me. I will figure out who the baby's mother really is. The women watched with wide eyes as the judge tucked a Napkin Abkin into his collar. Then he picked up a pair of Chopsticks and plucked one grain of rice from the bull. He scrunched up his forehead as he examined the grain carefully. Oh my very interesting. Yes yes the judge popped the grain of rice into his mouth then he reached down and picked up another Green as with the first he studied it intently. Wow my goodness goodness then ate it. The judge repeated this process over and over until the entire hire bowl of rice was gone. I must say we are off to an excellent start very promising next the noodles once again. The judge grasped the chopsticks he lifted a noodle and gave it a wiggle Oh aw I see the judge brought the noodle to his lips and slurped down. Then he repeated the process with another noodle words you look at that and another my and another fascinating soon. All the noodles were gone. The judge wiped his lips lips with his Napkin then stared at the woman in red and the woman in blue his eyes were gleaming ladies a very rick clear. Vision of the future has come to me. I've seen an image of the boy's real mother he you have tell us more L. The judge took a deep breath. This vision takes place forty years from now so the woman is forty years older than she is today. Her hair is grey. Her fingers are stiff but she's hard at work in the rice fields. The woman in Blue Gorilla. The rice fields forty years from now shouldn't be retired by then. The judge held up a finger. But Ed wait wait. That's not all I saw. There's a reason the real mother is working in the rice fields forty years from now. It's because because her full grown son has become ill gravely ill. And she's toiling away to support her beloved child She's bent over those rice patties. Sweat streaming down her face day in and day sunup to sundown own seven long days. All is shifted to the woman in blue this child. He isn't mine. The judge raised used his eyebrows. He's not yours you say. And why are you telling the truth now. The woman blue threw up her hands. Isn't it obvious yes. You shouldn't have to take care of your child when you're old and gray. Your child is supposed to take care of you. That's the whole point only dividing children. The judge turned to the woman in red. And what about you. Do you think the whole point of having children so so someone will care for you when you're older gray. The woman in red blushed. No your honor. She gazed down at the carriage. Your honor I love this boy with every bone in my body and it's long there is breath in my body. I will work to support him if he needs me. And I'll do it happily after all. He's my son so he is. The judge stood up up and walked over to the baby carriage he lifted the rosy cheeked boy and held him out to the woman in red. Please take this child. It's more than apparent to this court that he really truly is yours this this time when the judge handed the boy to the woman the baby didn't cry at all instead as his grateful. Mother pulled him close. It's the infant smile. Suddenly the judge cried out. Oh I almost forgot to tell you what happens next in my vision. After being so terribly terribly sick the full grown son completely recovers from his illness and he goes onto become quite successful he he starts a beautiful family of his own then invites his mother to move into their magnificent house by the sea. Where they all live happily together for a long a long time? The woman in red cried tears of joy as she hugged her son. The woman blue on the other hand rolled her eyes and stomped stomped out of the courtroom in a huff. The woman in red kissed the top of her baby's head then she looked at the the judge. Your honor. I can't thank you enough for helping me get my son back but I have to ask. She gestured toward the the empty. Rice bowl the empty noodle plate and the very full pot of tea. The green tea you asked for you never used it. I thought for sure that you'd study. The tea leaves to read the future. The judge grinned. Nah He lifted the teapot and poured himself a cup of tea. The Not was just there to wash down my lunch. Well years went by and as it happens. The woman's son did get sick very sick. She worked to take care of him and when he recovered they all lead happily ever after. But what do you think. Did the judge really see the future in his rice and noodles or was he just enjoying a hot lunch. I'll don't leave it to you to decide. "Deficit. We're talking so low Danny sitting across from me and are no we're talking Landau. My Gosh. I've met land. We're talking Danny sitting across from me and it's because we're going to talk about something. Yeah yeah so we're talking. So we're talking about Landau guesses kidnaps yes. So do you remember when d all remember when Donald Glover was announced do was there something that launched that before like there was speculation. Here there was like early. Speculation of Donald before was confirmed. Yeah I forget what set that all. I'm trying to think too it. Might I think he was kind of known as a fan of it in a way community. I'm trying to give on. I don't know it just seemed when rumors of a young Han Solo movie came about it was like well. Great Right Donald Glover's GonNa play Landau right right it. Just kind of the the manifest. Dan Universe manifested it and it was great news. It just seems so. Perfect how fascinating. There's an I G N Youtube video from twenty-six when they start when it came out last year yeah so well this was why Donald Donald Glover's a good pick for Landau cow disease so clearly he was on people's minds Yeah but if you remember it was a pretty good response from everyone him being cast. Oh you know people were happy because I think by the it was one of that. Is that weird thing nerds. Do where like something they they like again they leaked. It was enough time for people to get excited. I'd be like yeah we. We think that's going to happen. And then they feel right when it's confirm it so they're like Yeah Yeah Hill. That's the one that's also like I think the thing with Landau is like you know Landau was like the coolest character of the time and Mike. This was back when it was announced. Donald was on fire and he was like the coolest black actor at the time so it was just like. Yeah this is the equivalent Oakland of billy dee in the seventies exactly it again it's GonNa come out even though he did a great job of Channeling Billy D. or younger ability he definitely brought his own sensibilities to you and I think that's obviously what you need to do. All right did a great job as well. I'll fight on that hill for for a long time but his performed Solo but they don glover just brought that same energy. See where Tim. It's him but it's character and so you're you're you're invested in him as well. There's actually a picture of glover. Fixing the Cape of his Landau action figure when he was his little he said quote. I had a doll that I slept with the only black doll in the store that my mom bought for me and my dad bought me. Landau Clever says oh great there you go. That's very true. It was probably the only one of the only black action figures that was available to kids at that time. Yeah I mean running down the listening. Yeah absolutely really so refresh people about how him in Han become a thing so it's a thing. Yes so so In in Solo they need ship. They need the fastest ship in the galaxy. Cure as you know we don't know if How well she knows land or she makes him joke? She seems to know him pretty well and he's retired so they meet at the bar there And the which I I love a brave young shut that so beautifully I think Solos best the best looking of new servers films to to me just in terms of of lived in kind of world And so they meet there and he's he's done he's out but tobias back back. Is there woody. Harrelson's character and Tobias Beckett Killed The bounty hunter or sing that Atlanta so he's in and that kind of starts the adventure and that's where they kind of meet up now in Canon has established. Yeah they had his outfit pretty much the same but some slight tweaks to it Donald Actually said and as far as dressing as land said Lanos always the best dressed person on that set. And I don't say that lightly there's a lot of costumes of cool clothing. Land does clothing. That's what I like. I was secretly super happy. I'm sure you've got to keep a bunch of it. His clothing. His clothing is another slice of life. He takes pride in the clothing and makes things easier when people see you and your debonair they tend to want to give you stuff easier. That is so true if he do you notice that when I I don't know if your girlfriend can and also deals with this but if I want to Nordstrom's and I look like Shit. Nobody wants to talk to me if I take thirty minutes to put on my makeup all of a sudden I'm the richest person in his so so funny the pretty woman totally mistake catch big. Yeah absolutely well maybe. That's the trick. If you WANNA just go shopping and be left alone you gotta go the recognized me at the Burbank Mall and I looked like Scherer tweeted like if you see me in my face looks like ass. It's just like all red and whatnot and splodge she just like. Let's pretend we don't see each other anyways. It was okay. Don't even it on my worst level and it's fine I guess what 'cause -bility will so then like we said Bill Elm Williams came back thirty six years later. Roughly run. Yeah thirty. Six years later Nelson Blurb but yeah why do you think people have have resonated with this character for decades on end. I think for a lot of different reasons Some of the cultural reasons talked about him being the only black action action figure in the eighties. Yeah that's pretty powerful for a Lotta people but also someone like me. I you know That's On this white kid and suburbs but I loved Landau because he expanded expanded the galaxy and the second. I think he's one of the most iota the puppet literally ye decided Lucas Gone. Let's face the second film around a puppet they we'll shoot it. We'll see how it goes. And then he brings in Billy Dee Williams and to to continue the store you have to expand the galaxy s to feel so real and I thought the chemistry him coming on here I I. I think the success of empire has a lot to do we d making it just work and changing what we think of sequels new characters coming on and and it changes change is hard you you fall in love with the big three you got this guy and he made it work so I think that that was part of it and then you know when when when episode seven even starts happening in the word officially came he wasn't going to be part of it th that wasn't just in case of absence makes the heart fonder absence just kind of really stirred up a lot of passion for the character and we'll why why would he not be there and I I I don't know why seven they could've they could've found found a spot I I do agree with Ryan Johnson going there was spots in my movie I could have inserted him but it would have been that it would have been this cameo Gotcha and I i. I know it's tough for him. He's such a Star Wars Fan Ryan. Johnson the bleeds it. I win the ones that was like yeah. He could have been where Mas was he could have been in the casino but then then what. Then what does he do want more than that. I want more than him turning weaken at the camera and I think unfortunately we had to wait but the way paid off because I really do loves contributions to episode nine cats so great analogous said he gets to live forever and star Tours. Best best thing I know. That's that's where we all want to end up right. We just live in star tours. That's yen t get older. And you start getting nauseated easily here. It's the worst I have to go. Sit in that I can just do the buzz. Light Year over and over. But I can't Astro Black Astro blasters One last thing about star tours is I had a friend who was like. I know the perfect seat in To always be picked as the rebels by there like it's this does this seat. It's not the CAST members. Choose it in the back. Seem to go to the right. They typically because the because that's the easiest one to see looks like it's always that one but they typically If you will have like if you are mostly adults we'll have a kid on another side that's when you see a change because they typically quickly try and make it a kid but also remember. It's a camera so the bet. The cameras still going to be best for that section but yeah they pick in the back they they told me because I was really really complain. I was like what is the C. to work there. You're like asks member. Oh we pick it and I was like why don't then it turned into like. Why don't did you ever pick me? We have two kids and I was like all right anyway. Back to Landau and this is this. This was this was solo kind of push the needle in a way because the dialogue and solo suggested that Landau sexually interested men women androids including both Han on an l three thirty seven. which if you don't remember? That was the thick droid that droid was so thick. Wow Yeah you don't remember. Do Voice Start again. Freebie Waller Bridge. Yeah that was my. That was my hot Pastor that droid in the place but yeah when they when they were asked about the scene where L. Three jokes about Lantos flirtatiousness tastelessness towards Han Lawrence Kasdan said that her personality. And maybe it means something. Maybe it doesn't which feels like. Oh we'll we'll let you all decide But then co writer. Jonathan Kasdan confirmed that Landau is pan sexual state and there is a fluidity. Donald and billy week abilities portrayal to Landau sexuality. I would've loved to have gotten a more explicitly. LGBT character into this movie. I think it's time certainly for that. And I love the fluidity sort of the spectrum spectrum of Sexuality Bat Donald Appeals to and that droids are a part of he doesn't make Fi- Any hard fast rules like that tracks for me totally. Because like there's there's like if you remember from Dr Who Jack Harkness who's by. There's something about that like that is like the real like smuggler. Who is like not only good At flirting with women but also men like there is no one that this person can't charm and that that is that's like super cool also is excrete representation. Yeah it was super cool. Is that Billy Dee Williams you know came out as being gender fluid and I just think it's so such a great time for nerds and people that look up to these characters to be able to have these conversations and honestly just have it be the thing that if he and I talk about a a lot with these sci-fi with anything that's fictional it's like why can't it just. Why does it have to be stuck to our archaic rules and things that we like? It just doesn't make sense. It's like my argument. With game of thrones where people are like. Well it's just more like why there's not a lot of people of color they're like. It's just more fat historic I might. There's dragons historical ties not a real real historical tonight. Furthermore A we've win. I always have to go down this. Ah this tangent that is a excuse that is not true once again check out be page mythical medieval. POC that will show you paintings from medieval times featuring people of color not just as slaves or servants but in noble roles. Because that it's true there has been a clear why erasure in history and educate yourself because the art proves it because the arts were selfish that they took back then they weren't just making it up. They were not pulling it out of there. But they're like oh we're just GONNA make a black no. It's they're seeing these people in as nobles in these times and the erasure has led to believe it come on that. Are you telling me that. My Grandmother's painting of Jesus that one is the one that so you say that people feel the people that have been down with us for like years have to hear this constantly but our new new followers is always good for them to know but also with even when I look look at the Grecian urns and they're like totally like I can't say what I want to say they're totally banging each other and one more you know and so for me. The conversation station that I see often on these forums is with these with these films and including with rise of skywalker and And the last I is will they're shoving Anna interface or they're shoving it down our throats and I'm like no. That's actually just how the world is we've been we've been really complicit slash like us to a certain type of media a certain type of character that's heterosexual or whatever the particular color. There's actually just the rest of the world and especially if they're in this Sifi. There's no reason and that they wouldn't have. It wouldn't be as diverse or even more diverse to be honest than our view of the world. So it says it says a lot. If you hear the Jon Kasdan did get some heat too by the way when he said that because what you're saying it now it's not in the movie..

The FBI has dogs to help people cope with tragedy
"Welcome back to working like dogs on pet life radio. And we're talking today with Stacy beers. From the FBI victim services division about the incredible work that she is doing with Wally. And also the geo is doing we don't want to forget GIO, so. Yeah. So before our break, you mentioned a term Stacey that I want to ask you about and that was the term facility dog and a lot of people aren't familiar with that, can you tell us the difference? What is dog and how's that different from a service dog? So a service dog is a dog that performs a service for a person facility dogs are a little bit different in that. They're purposely bred for this type of work. They may be trained in the same vein as service dogs or support animal assisted intervention, you know, certainly, Wally NGOs basic training started at eight weeks of age, and it was very. Specialized to working with persons with disabilities. But then after they know where they're going to be placing the canine, then they really do hone in on specialized training that they need. So for example, Wally geo actually works supposed to a lot of stimulation. They need to be in an environment. The lot of people a lot of emotion and lot of energy. And so, you know, eighty w knew that and really did work very hard to get Wally. And you exposed to those situations in order for them to be placed with us. Yeah. I can only imagine. I mean with all the noises on the smells on the all the different things that that they would be exposed to and those types of situations that you've been describing for us. Yeah. That's amazing. Well, and so tell us as you've brought Wally geo into your work environment and entity incorporated into your job description. Have you had any challenges? Stacey with that. You know? I'll just say that it's been a real honor. I've been in victim services for this is my twenty six year. And you know, I've seen the work of facility dogs in the past. And I've seen them work of therapy dogs in the past. But you know, being able to be on this end of the leash and be part of it is at a whole different experience. They've opened doors in a lot of situations that may have been difficult situation. But they give us easy access to victims and decision makers, which has been really, really helpful. I will say that if I had to say that there was one challenge. It would be that. You know, normally we take a break to take them out to the bathroom. We could get in and out of this building in about probably ten minutes. Well, not so much with Wally NGO, you usually have to double the time. You have to be aware when you're going to a meeting you need to leave way in advance because you get stopped in the hallway. And I've never had so many people smile at me since I had on my head since October of twenty fifteen so. You know, it's a challenge when you're in a hurry to get them outside to go to the bathroom or things like that. But David challenges are I would agree with you. I know that's what I said is there's no more just running into the grocery store to grab milk. Not when you have an assistance dog with you because they are so gorgeous and beautiful that people aren't going to stop you. Yes. Yes. True. And I'm sure you probably feel like a celebrity a little bit being with Wally. I say he's he's really, you know, he's the gift and the tool that we can use with victims. So I'm happy to stay in the background. And just be on the end of the leash caring for him to make sure that victims are are getting served and are enjoying what he brings. Yeah. Yeah. Well, tell us about an experience that you've had where you think Wally really made a big impact in your work with someone. I can think of one of the first things that comes to mind, you know, what we know about the canine human bond is that they're unbiased, and they don't judge people. And even though we are all trained, and you know, it's innate in a lot of victim advocates should not be biased and to be non judgmental. Sometimes it comes through in the way that we might fit or the way may may talk to somebody or gesture, but while he and GIO are incredibly unbiased they can go into situations, and they're just pure, and so I can tell you when we were responding to the pulse nightclub attack and Orly. Lando. Obviously there were some cultural sensitivities you had LGBT community. You also had Latino community. And so we have situations where we had some of the victims who were not out to their families, and they were really fearful of seeking services. And there was this one in particular case where a young man came in for services after being frankly homebound for a number of days, he was afraid to come in. And when he came in I was walking through the family assistance center, and he collapsed on the floor, and she sobbed into Wali's coat, and I actually was not prepared for that. Because that had happened to me in the past with Wally and really just sat there, and I was just present with him. And I didn't say a word Wally basically did everything just by his mere presence and after a few moments this young man stood up and he was able to partner with one of our victims specialist to actually go through the family assistance center and received. The need services that he he actually came for the ironic part of this is that several days later melody, and I were at a community event with Wally and geo and we hear this Walli GIO. And we're thinking who's calling the dogs, and it was this young man, and he was out in the community with his friends being able to acclimate being back out and his support system. "The joke right is that yes yes signed that is the joke are anyway so the rumor is billy dee williams will be coming back as lando episode nine he's getting to be old i don't know how well he can really say is finally the he's coming back he's getting old well i mean we'll call me little kombi but it's just been he's we had to episodes now land to landau lis episodes now i think that his i think i've heard some places that his health has been waning a little bit and so he had brennan he did some he did billy dee williams to the voice for landau on rebels and he he definitely sounded like an older billy dee williams not necessarily the young landau that we all know so question then for you seen the landau solo story you're not wrong would you be okay would you be okay with donald glover doing just taking over voice work for landau now oh yeah i would be completely fine with that because there even even where it would have been bility williams in the timeline oh perfectly fine with that because the thing if they had told him look we we know you're orlando but we want you to do billy dee williams he he's gotten amazing billy dee williams too so i would be okay with that the now ever the real star wars fans might have an issue with it yes yes they would and by fans the people that hate star wars yes because no one hates star wars star wars fans yes anyway the reason why this rumor is a rumor is because williams has been talking about a new physical regimen that he's been training with and a lot of people are saying oh my gosh that's what mark hamill did and that's what carrie fisher did before the force awakens and williams has not said i'm sorry but like little more camels training regiment for the force awakens he every day he had to lift his hands up and take off his hood for an hour all right i don't buy it so here's the old man in poor health he wants to be healthy that doesn't mean he's going back to star wars nerds williams please comeback star wars so he originally considered using sorry ryan johnson actually originally considered using landau as dj's character the master code breaker in the last jedi but so cool except dj was dick but that he well have you ever watched our wars lando kind of his too i know but like dj was a proper dick and landau was like the i had to betray you to save my people kind of dick dick too much yeah a little bit sorry he was a jerk so like yeah he was like a proper i had he had to do it to save his people so that you're a was dj was doing it to save himself but you know what landau in some of the cartoons kind of has that hey i'm there to save myself i've seen landau in one episode a rebel so far and i was less than impressed because he was like the pig episode yes it was the first one yeah it was his first one yeah that one wasn't as good as kind of like insulting to the character come on landau you're better than this yeah he is he is but he's not that they actually had billy dee williams do it so the it was so cool like the fans were so excited here billy dee williams of like they were so excited to hear carrie fisher be laya oh is she lay in rebels there's some way of with carrie fisher so it's no it's it's it's cool yeah we'll see because landau he is he has a very long streak of i'm i'm in it to save myself so he would have been cool dj i really i really think that i mean it would have been able to to have been written differently very cool what if they they are sent to canto by to get landau but they get thrown in jail and then they have to work with dj okay i'm back happy or what if they get sent to canto bites to get dj and then they get thrown in jail and the the based coming out from under the bunk scene is billy dee williams people would lost their minds shoot maybe they've lost their minds but that would still put them on the path of betraying them.

"Were you happy with cilla you know i where i stand with these new films is that i actually go in with zero expectations i pretty much everything after the original three i i am thinking they're going to be terrible so if i go in with no expectations usually watch almost no trailers so that i don't get hyped about anything and i find that most of the time implicitly surprised because if you go in expecting jarjur every time and you come out without jarjur then you're like oh well that wasn't so bad by the prequels shares exactly i think this films especially had both a lot going for an also a lot of reassurance because rogue one was the first non yeah trilogy stores film and i think surpass a lot of people's expectations because it held up so on oh so this had the legacy of road that's one chance to stand on but also they had the burden of being telling the backstory of a character that so many people in the left yeah multiple characters we're talking about shui han solo and lando and hiring an actor to embody that character and a body you know one of the great actors yeah yeah yeah so i guess we can talk about the film terms of story and in terms of performance let's go with story i without spoilers again did you think what the plot wise the beats of the movie these sequences met your expectations for.

"Leave it han and lando say they're going to have a rematch sometime and that landau won the ship in a card game of lewd tuhan later getting the falcon or something like that at a couple points i found myself literally rolling my eyes i didn't even know that was a body language i have but i'm like i'm looking at through oh my god i actually rolling my eyes yeah this movie's not sophisticated indeed there are some prequels i would put dark ni and casino royale where they build the character and it's really clever and you can't anticipate and then there's ones where you could see it coming a mile away star wars has never been sophisticated even the best one children can follow it it's not hard to understand oh you try to have a child explain episode one intact sation of trading routes to you good luck i saying that that's the problem is that when it tries to be sophisticated it usually fails you need to accept the fact that this world is not going to have these layers of nuances and yes it's going to be done in a pedestrian man no no no no here's the difference lucas was better at it it's not like in one movie anikin met obi wan he was a great pilot he fought in the clone war then he ended up in the armor all in the span of two hours and fifteen minutes but with han that's kind of what we get you can tell yourself all you want lucas is better at it i watch those prequels that is not true this is on that same level and i think the it's not the sting these things are not as complicated setups and who's playing who and all of that is not as intricate as the best movies that play with those tropes but it is more clever than like the mystery attack of the clones there is more sophistication in the most rudimentary star wars i think that they're serving the audience they always have i mean my wife's watching this and she's not a big star spent in this one she's like it just feels like there's a lot of stuff on not getting and so for me as a fan it's annoying that you're training.

"Which is that morally ambiguity and ambiguous a hacker who eventually betrays the group um and it's remniscent of land does original role in empire strikes back but um ryan johnson said because we love lando and you can come into it with that exhortation but um we already know that we loved care character of lando so just wouldn't have played that part story wise summarising what he said so it seems like it would have been redundant for lindos character and there may be like future plans for lando in later films so it's i think that he thought lando would be redundant just thought to introduce a new character completely would be better would have seemed more with the rehash of numbers strokes back at the woodland though in there uh i have a whole article up on the site above the store do deleted scenes of star wars less stood i i've been working for the last three weeks in his article this is gustav immaterial that you can't find anywhere else um that would really rickman going to say checking it out because i have like over a dozen pieces that were there were taken out of the film but i'll talk about one here just right now uh by the way the first cut of the film was three hours and ten minutes long so there is lake 40 minutes of material that was cut out of the film i think ryan johnson is a twenty minutes material deleted scenes will make it onto the dvd slashed blu ray um i think the the scene that everybody the is definitely going be on their this is the scene that i think is the most interesting is luke skywalker third lessened the ray because he says he's going to give her three last into we only see to in the movie uh what happened was there was the third lesson in this lesson took place.
