"The fan get aboard eight seven seven three three seven sixty six sixty six we welcome in the tag team that is split up one V. his humble abode in Mister Peter Hoffman and then you have the shark himself Paul Rosenberg back in our studios on the other side of the glass yeah back with the update at the top of every hour and we are with you up until eleven o'clock then it will be they're supposed to be summer's coming your way then the fan all right here in New York City and it's this like the never ending search this never ending quest and I kind of feel like in many ways I'm like exhausted every last possibility every last nook and cranny for when exactly you'll get that return to sports that we all wait for waiting for a big way but from an MBA side of things from an MBA perspective it looks like the wheels now are officially in motion to get this season back on the way and this is been reported so it is no surprise here Dannel Landel Florida Disney world and we're talking about a date of July the thirty first for when this would all shake down I gotta be honest the first thing I thought of when I saw the initial date to Oct thirty first one second it is now may the twenty ninth July thirty first is an older two months from now so it's basically like giving it a whole new ramp up training camp like let's think about this for a minute the NBA finals are usually one early to mid June and this season what starts mid to late October so normally you're talking about July August and September as the layoff period before the NBA resumes plaque well we're basically looking at yet another all season period due to everything that went on with the pandemic before the NBA starts up again and we all knew that was gonna be the case anyway but by case adding on a couple more months to this you know the timetable for a couple more weeks this timetable July thirty first seems like a long long time from now but I think I don't know about you guys I'll do everything because if I can envision some sort of point in by the time you hit that date then the NBA playoffs going into all of Houston yeah there I say the NBA finals going into the month of September it gives you that hope it gives you that allusion that that light at the end of the tunnel for sports fans is actually there and I will remain in the NBA if indeed they're gonna send sixteen teams directly to the playoffs and they would do some sort of group stage play in which you try to determine the final couple of teams in the final couple seats because guess what Damian Lillard was a thousand percent right when he said watch why in the world we use the Portland trailblazers is going to go down the middle Disney world when a player for a couple weeks and it basically we have no chance of making a blast like what is the point of us going down if we don't have a legitimate hope of making the postseason there is absolutely no reason for us to play I will heartily agree with that to me if you're going to send these teams down and I get it they need the additional television revenue whether it's for regional network whether it's for this team that team what happened they all need that additional money that's great boat you have to find a way to given that added incentive even as hopeless and even as far fetched as it may be because as we all know in the NBA it's not like the NHL it's not like Major League Baseball where these teams that are in the seven eight range in a normal year go on Cinderella runs and make the NBA finals and I'm well aware the ninety eight ninety I next went to the NBA finals in a walk out here but that is not part of the course more often than not that's seven or eight seed is a total waste of time in the playoffs and they get bounced in for five games so because of that your oldest son put your health at risk to some degree you bring your family down in Florida it's this unique set of circumstances you have to do right by your players and at least give the illusion that you're competing for something so that's where the added playin in some capacity comes into play I like that given me that plane twenty well given me L. a plane twenty for the final seeds or group stage blood there are options that makes sense there are options that we can understand and it at the very least points the wheels in motion somewhat that said there I say return could be that now I was thinking about this and if you guys were listening to my shows throughout the overnight for really the last sure three months as the void will live sports is been there I mean I think we all know that and listen trust me when I tell you ladies and gentlemen boys and girls that I have kind of grown very very tired re watching so many old games and I've done my fair share of it there's still a select few that I might pop in for a little bit here a little bit there like I'll give an example I haven't watched game five of the ninety six ALCS probably since I was a little kid you know I've seen a highlight here highlight there but I saw on the MLB network's Instagram page and you know they doing the sixty plus our tribute to Derek Jeter the sixty plus hour Yankee shrine if you will but they repairing at ten o'clock at night V. Jeter Yankees I should say the Yankees could I don't know what their two that did not ninety five game or ninety six game game five against Baltimore I want to say that was a big day for Cecil fielder and Darryl strawberry because all remember that series is Jeffrey Mayer and I remember Andy Pettitte pitching a five I remember Jeter getting cal Ripken to end the game in game number five and I remember Big Daddy and a straw men dropping bombs at Camden yards I mean they had bomb after bomb after bomb and I remember so many Yankee fans at the time well I call why do we trade in process will field or why we treat making a move to sign Darryl strawberry all the small ball this you know manufacturing of wrongs it is what I want to see from the Yankees like they did in the first half well they were smart enough to realize they need a little more firepower in Atlanta and I say this when I was patient the Yankees do not win the ninety six World Series if you have straw and you have Big Daddy I'm a Big Daddy had big hit after big hit after big hit and was good off that in game three four five down a lot of Tino Martinez found as well on a bench which was the right move in the wise move by Joe Torrey but I have not seen that game five against Baltimore so I'm gonna watch you about tonight I'm on the dell maybe your poker game maybe a beverage or two but I'm gonna watch decking five I'll be dialed in that put the Orioles were part of that time period in baseball we did a damn good team I mean ever borrow while more for couple years that Brady Anderson with fifty home runs Palmeiro it can be J. sorrowful was a terrific player yeah machinery at Scott Erickson that you had David wells I mean there were well rounded they were quite good but they do not even compare to the best teams of that era I didn't find a way to win a championship and for me you gotta have a group together well let's say three four five years at a time the kind of fit this description and your rules a few years but unions were better I mean think about the Cleveland Indians in the nineteen nineties at the beginning it was Albert Belle was Kenny Lofton it was Carlos by Erica it is that team started to come of age and they say goodbye to buy a trade in the mess they say goodbye to Albert bell found his way to Chicago White Sox you saw the emergence of guys who're hall of fame ballots Jim Thomas even though he's not gonna find is with the whole thing because the steroids and it looks like he's like seventy years all right now with the grace but it may not even great speckled she looks like Santa Claus if you saw an Instagram photo Amanda remembers that big papi posted the other day but I mean those in the in teams you had Maddie you had Paul may when you swap often you had more keys Grissom was an underrated player in the nineties yeah David justice on those teams you had all more of a scale hold down shortstop you had Matt Williams a Travis Fryman at third base yes sandy Alomar behind a plate I mean knows what damn damn good in the in case and in the opinion that someone will service they get their ninety five data record setting year they wish to Alaina it was at last time to win a championship ninety seven they beat the Yankees sandy Alomar's home run off Mariano Rivera the emergence of Jared right and that ninety seven World Series you got one run we don't in the bottom half of the ninth inning and Jose mesa can close the deal against Florida animal and send up warning that came on the Edgar Renteria walk off any Indians I had a chance to follow here against the Yankees who is by far away the biggest challenge is not even close because that's Thursday down two games to one we don't do get a bailout that was after Knobloch remembers blowing a bubble gum and he's only doing the phone call first base that was when the Yankees with testing that record setting ninety eight year but I mean from ninety four to about two thousand two thousand one the Indians were a team where they could easily make case we sure want championship Seattle Mariners were a team that wasn't quite as good record wise the Indians but from a talent standpoint it is pretty crazy to think about the fact that Seattle never even got to World Series any amazing thing with the mariners folks they kind of all this the team because it was Griffey junior Randy Johnson and Edgar Martinez J. do you know when they take on eighties in ninety five but think about the emergence.

"About Gabrielle union and her advice what's the story yes he was on live hit was that couples live with her in doing wait alongside I you send Steph curry and she was talking about some advice that she gave to a younger I used to carry when I guess it must have been a rough patch years and years and years ago this definition we're going through in his wish you tell their usual ninety eight back up exactly yeah and you're right working out very well and you wake up now and you'll be amazed at how so obviously that was a horrible advice bad advice and you know you realize things that work for you necessarily don't work for anybody else I got the same advice like I said I was with my wife since she was fifteen I was sixteen people said that Hey yeah look together in love too soon you should you know live a little and do this and do that and thank god that that didn't happen because I don't know where I would be five years later eighteen years married in twenty five years twenty six years together so thank god I did listen anybody what about your kids later five kids later yeah yes our best I think the worst advice that I can think of right now definitely came from my father and this is when back in the day way way way back in the day when I confronted my father about cheating on my mom and he looked me in the eye and he laughed I know if you get a good exercise bike and bought my room and he was right on that side bike and he goes she only got one girlfriend and he's a one do you understand and that confused the hell out of my young mind for quite a long time for a long as I thought it was wrong to have one girlfriend so that always makes you that always make me question you know a relationship I was in and always made me keep at least one thing on the side right technically that probably worked out for me because you know back in the day now one thing on the side became my wife so I don't know that was goodbye to bad advice I thought it was very confusing I've had I've had quite a few therapy sessions about that last couple years he said the one thing on his side was your wife we had to that I was dating this other girl back in the day and then I started kicking all my wife so I have both of them and then ended up with my wife also maybe if my dad gave me that advice they always have one thing on the site I know my wife wow what does right now I think about it my goodness no he well right now right now right when you're talking about what you know it worked out for me it wasn't right no what about you you I tell you before like the worst advice I ever got was somebody tell me to stay in a relationship with somebody that would every single time I would take a picture with somebody if it was a guy he was screen shot it and send it to me to be upset and to be completely innocent pictures like if I was hosting a party and I didn't think it was a good idea to stay in that relationship but my friend told me that I should and I should try to see it from his point of view and I realize that I just couldn't live my life like that with somebody who didn't trust me even though I wasn't doing anything to not be trusted in the final straw was when he went through my phone and hid in the bathroom with it for no reason and I just as I I can't do this anymore goodness gracious what you're what you're with that he was seen in the pictures because it had to be like a social social media time right they had to be the last it's yeah yeah definitely was it was probably about I would say like eight years ago now thank the eight years ago that it happened and I was very glad that we broke up and I I also feel that you should never be in a relationship where you feel stressed out about it all the time in every little thing you do they're always I. questing in it and you're not even doing anything wrong because usually it means they're doing something wrong I'm sure he's listening good morning to him all right let's go to phone N. V. is in the usual meaning that we are the breakfast club there if you just joined us we're talking about the worst relationship advice you receive from somebody let's go to the former hello who's this what's her merry brown thousand three thousand yes I need you to stand a little more hype I love you all yeah we got here we go it was the worst relationship advice you received their knowledge of the homeless man I would I would well my homeboy and I got like one of the baddest chicks around right now the parents that she acquired the darker areas like little parties price wise and creative came through is that one right you may check terms general whatever chambers sure it out another story but it was for safety for kids or whatever but I end up not national she was tremendously she was like super bad he's called her bionic but she had a large tax surcharges whatever whatever and I DMS later much later I see on the ground she crying and I hear the battle I was like the day before somebody I was messing with previous reports I promise you so come to find out if I would mention her the day before that and it would have been like when I stand out a little bit we we got Nash yes the rules are when I see you today nasty I won a game mask dag okay selling that the baby would be yours so about no she was already pregnant she you know she got Frank the day before like blessed by I would have gotten that let me know a pregnant means has graphics there well what was the point of the story again yeah I don't know what the point is so that your baby or not we do not and never Miller bill Mobley what have you you would see what he said it was your baby in is you wouldn't even know he was Matthew just believed where no I wouldn't believe that allow water strapped up Linda Bennett so you don't sound like the Scrabble type home be yeah you do every day now is it you definitely sound like the type of the dead doesn't need a reason to go wrong M. as Connell one hand how many people died this is Ravi some while many maybe like see what I'm saying A. B. okay yeah you guys what we've been trying to put you into trying to play you can't my goodness all right thank you douse me my god what's the moral of the story I don't know the morally right to ease on that Gabrielle union situation is also an example of why you can't listen to someone who's not in the same position as you okay this is what I tell women and couples in many couples not to talk to single people because Gabrielle union was at one place in our lives speaking from her level of consciousness and awareness but clearly I use instead of four and its base gab didn't get to until much much later in her life I don't say that she's speaking from her consciousness in a way anything girl you need to go out and have fun you need to go out there you know that four point four golden eyes are bright light why I got what I want at home absolutely she made the best decision I mean I and you look at it like everybody situation like you said is absolutely positively different like you don't think that my wife didn't say you know what I'm out here because I was the list of F. boy issue you know when I was younger and you know I changed watches a she changed me every which I think that this is because Gabrielle union gave advice from a woman who was in a relationship who's married and everything that turned out to be wrong advice so in a day so it doesn't matter but what I'm saying is like I think you know everybody's situation is different sometimes advise works sometimes it doesn't all you can do is try to sometimes deal with things on your own and go with your gut feeling you can be a matter of fact about it would like Gabrielle was you know I'm saying like you didn't work out for Gary also impress you probably was still speaking from a place of heart thank you well that didn't work out for me as a dancer I go work out for you you could have technically what she'd say and by telling her to go out to eat and sleep with a whole bunch of guys use she's she's saying that okay you're late you're probably in a working with you might well have fun right all right well we got rooms in a way he yes now let's talk about it so that you are I'm sure love and lead to growing up but they reunited and let's tell you where they were United in where you can catch this reunion all right also next hour ask a you you get on the phone right now eight hundred five eight five one.
