"Was awesome. Yeah eight grade. He's like i got the moves. Who was it that said they could beat about like fashion. That was really funny. Who was that was. It wasn't bosh. Well anyway somebody had that for an answer and that was like clowning on like the clothes that wears the pants. But yeah aldridge confident with the just the midrange game. I think if it was me or remember who was talking to him specifically. We're like we could. We should set that up at all star weekend. It'd be one hell of event w great event like can you be jordan at this at their heels. Yeah that'd be awesome but aren't gonna find that video and put it in the chat. I sought a second ago. But we're where did you go. Where did you should just got bought the old youtube channel classic if we can if we can find it odd. Final question here. Some people hate to do this right away. Guy again just retired with a pretty scary situation there with the irregular heartbeat. But everybody doing it. We've done it before. Even when he was playing especially with other players similar to him. Like your chris bosh maybe guys with similar accolades like blake griffin but task. You started off. Here is lamarcus aldridge. A hall of famer. In your opinion he is. he hears. I think we have to get away from valuing titles and and getting two titles that highly when it comes to the hall of fame candidacy. He didn't get there. He didn't get a hall of fame. He didn't get an nba finals appearance. Even he didn't win one but it doesn't matter. I think we kind of have to get away from the fact. That career relies so much on the players. You play with like he just didn't play with hall of fame guys. Yeah you just mentioned. Chris bosh and if he was chris bosh scenario playing with lebron and wade does he win championships. I assume so you know he has way more success. We look at them differently because everything else he did. I mean he he got there so i say he didn't play with hall of fame. Guys like damian. Lillard played with them at the beginning of his career. His first real years and brandon roy unfortunately the injury so it could have been a lot different. I think if you look across his entire resume seven all star appearances five all nba. He is not the sexiest player in nba history. Not even close as far as just you skeets. You know we've podcast for his entire career but you're also surprised to go back and see the dunks. He's just he didn't. It didn't have a lot of flashy moments. No matter so i think as far as putting in the work and being an incredible player he was good enough and he. It was a heartbreak for him in san antonio he thought he was going there to sort of be more of the guy and win a championship and then the quiet letter situation happened in. Twenty seventeen were pachulia stepped under in the conference finals. Lamarcus aldridge is only conference finals appearance and that could have been something different if it doesn't get injured and they really pushed him and pop didn't have an incredible incredibly smooth relationship. They had an incredible relationship but pop the porsche to be a better defender and he. He did become that he was good in those five years in san antonio and then just kinda fell off this year a little bit but i think he's As far as compliments go as far as the resume goes yes. He belongs in the hall of fame and some will say get. Maybe he didn't he didn't get to twenty thousand points he was really close or or going to the other. The other main argument is that he didn't win a title. But we gotta get away from that because guys grew shouldn't depend on who he plays with and hopefully he seen more as a team mac and that sort of light than he is a bosch. Because it's hard not to compare it in bosch too skinny kids from texas. But that's that's where he belongs to me. He belongs in that bosh category and a few at the miami then he'd be probably hold in ship and it would be easier to put him in. But that's that's what it's about for me. Yeah that's tough for me trae. I'll be honest. Because i'm thinking back to when we were having this discussions with chris still trying to get in and we brought up our good friend great and who had the tweet like the way he wants to look at the hall of fame where my mind is started to wrap around is like. Can you tell the story of basketball. The story of the nba with or without this guy right and if the answer is obviously without like chris webber. I feel like you can't really tell the entirety of the nba of basketball really with the college including of course with the fab five and all that without him in there. I'm not sure. I can see the same for aldridge. I guess what. I'm getting at here like it's a weird thing. I think. Dan devine compared his like hall of fame probability or his career almost like joe johnson right like really super talented offensive players that we're not doing a whole bunch and playoff series at times has moments like we talked about with aldridge but you know they were just made a lot of all. Star teams are really really good. But i don't know dini. Joe johnson or lamarcus aldridge in the hall of fame. To tell the story. If that's how you wanna look at it So that's where. I'm a little a little torn but what do think. Tk i mean. It's a tough call. I think basketball reference even has his hall of fame probability at fifty percent and take it or leave it. It's your choice on if you want to. And the thing like tasks mentioning is it. Seems like lamarcus aldridge probably would have been a hall of famer. If the circumstances didn't go against him almost every single time you go back and watch that twenty. Four team playoff series. And you're like look at all these awesome players who are still playing in the league playing important minutes to this day. Like matthew is is out there on the court. Obviously damian lillard. He has a sick tip in the in game. One as well. Nick patou now playing for another title contender. This was a really good team. That got derailed by aldrich and lillard kind of battling for supremacy of. Who's the face of the franchise. Wesley matthews blowing out. His achilles things just went against the blazers for a minute and then he goes to san antonio. Looks like this is going to be the next wave. Of the spurs alongside kawhi leonard collide comes down on zyppah julius foot that submarines their title chances in two thousand seventeen jeopardize the relationship between san antonio now lamarcus is the number one guy when you thought it was going to be a number one and two colli and lamarcus and now at the end of his career. He's forty nine points from twenty thousand playing on the team. Who probably is considered the title contender this point a championship and twenty thousand points. Those are major milestones for a hall of fame resume. That aldridge is just gonna fall the earliest short of. But you're right. Can you tell the story of the nba without lamarcus aldridge. Probably but he's also like we're saying seeing the stats for The entirety of his career the accomplishments the seven times all star the five time all nba. That's a huge number right there. It's a really close call. So yeah i mean i'm generally going to say yes to guys making the hall of fame. I think more should be an rather than less. Once they started putting in mitch richmond. I think aldridge has a great chance to be honest with the. I'd rather see chris. Webber get in. I think he is in before aldridge. Like you're saying. But i think aldridge has a really good case. Yeah i'm glad you brought up. The richmond saw the stream team. Jay saying we said it before. We'll say it again. if mitch richmond. He is in town arbitrates. The time she gets mentioned is when he is in the hall of fame and his sort of labeled as the floor of hall of fame. that's terrible. He's really good. Fastball and lebron james yet again the the sort of the lower that he'll have when when all is said and done isn't it's just not all that sort of noteworthy because he didn't have huge playoff runs Yeah so yeah. it's not gonna be written about extensively. It's going to be in pair in combination in tandem with greg. Oden or even damian lillard or brandon. Roy or kawhi leonard i mean..

Brooklyn Nets make waves for bringing Blake Griffin, LaMarcus Aldridge to New York

"It up. The Brooklyn Nets are now a quote super team. I mean, they kind of already were after they traded for James Harden earlier in the season, the pair with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant, but now that they've acquired Blake Griffin and LaMarcus Aldridge via buyouts, the cynical MBA social media sphere is crying. Foul. This nonsense has to stop all your lies. Most have been hating hard on both Alders and Blakes is gained for claiming them washed up has been, But now that they can ride the coattails of the Nets Big three and potentially win a championship. It's unfair. Come on, then. That's your doing what any organization would do if given the opportunity, acquire as much talent as possible, and if they do win a championship?

"This episode is brought to you. By hewlett packard enterprise in the past year more than two million women in the us have left the workforce setting back years of progress on a special episode of the element attack. Podcast listen to women in tech talk about the challenges and what makes them hopeful for the future. Search spotify for the element tech podcast which comes from hewlett packard enterprise. What's up bengal over the washington post. I am joined on the other line by michael. The pod pena of sports illustrated michael. I think the weekend after the trade deadline was really dominated by a lot of buyout. Talk and frankly a lot of buyout. Backlash we got an email from casey michael. I'm going to spare you the entire details. But casey us solid. I don't know six thousand words taking the nba's competitive balance landscape to task by virtue of these buyout situations where a team like the brooklyn nets can go out and grab lamarcus aldridge. A team like the los angeles lakers can just pick up an drummond and drop them right into their pocket It looks like the milwaukee bucks might be able to add austin rivers. Which i think is actually kind of a sneaky edition that maybe should really be infuriating. People accept milwaukee's not that big market brooklyn l. a. team that tends to get so much of the backlash in these conversations. But casey's general premise was that small market teams should be livid and their fans should be livid because players tend to go to the larger markets in these situations the a lot of times a smaller market teams. Whether it's a cleveland and drummond's case a san antonio in aldridge's case footing the bill for these bio players in other words there almost paying them to go away and and gravy train onto a title contender. And i'm curious when you look at the state of this developing buyout market here which i think has accelerated over the last five years or so. Do you view this as a critical problem for the league. If you're adam silver would you be tried to rain this in because we are seeing some really big names also including blake griffin sort of exploit. This loophole to give themselves a second chapter for their careers. Yeah i mean. I want to start just by saying that Howard beck wrote a really good piece on sl dot com kind of outlining why this is viewed as a humongous issue particularly from the perspective of those small market teams where there is a disparity in the league. Everybody knows it. If you're glamour market you have an inborn advantage to building a consistent championship contender. That's just kind of how the league is when i look at the buyout situation. I mean it's obviously not perfect. It's not ideal. It's not even fair. But the way i kinda see it. I think there are some tweaks you can make to improve it. But i i kind of like there's two things one blake griffin an lamarcus aldridge. Are they both signed with the with the nets. I'd think that either one will be on the floor in crunch time of a playoff game for that team. It's not to say that they can't help in the regular season and that they will won't be in the rotation potentially in the playoffs. But like i think their names are a lot more impactful than their actual production like. They are not even close to as good in all. Seriousness is bruce brown or joe harris or jeff..

"The spurs are trying to make the playoffs in there kicking this guy to the curb to know about his value for what he knows but because if he could help them they have better than somebody that they'd sign out of out of the g. league. I don't think that's certainly true again. The spurs are nine points per one hundred possessions worse when the guy place. They're getting outscored by mls six points on occasions when he's on the court he's been a disaster for that she. I think he could help. A team in a limited role. I mean and maybe complex time in a matchup specific role here there. There are going to be situations where defensively you're not gonna want him on the floor but you know he's still a six foot eleven guy who's got a you know can can really shoot the ball and like i said before is expanded. His range out of three point range You know i just. I really with any buyout situation. I think there's a reason these guys are you know on the market mid season. You have to stay in that going in a matter of fact last year. Who who were the buyout guys on the on the lakers last season Jr smith and dion waiters and somebody else during the year. Right it really anything. I don't know if they had any buyout guys who played one hundred minutes in the playoffs. But before that 'cause i looked this up last year before that the last guy to play one hundred minutes in the postseason for championship team was paid for the mavericks. In two thousand eleven. So you know out get along and before that was. Pj brown with the celtics. But he's like those those couple of guys saturday Marabella ellie had a nice run with the sixers a few years ago the first year they broke lou in las celtics in the second round. But these are the these are the exceptions to the riott. Generally these guys get bought out and don't do anything. They typically get a lot of attention because they they are names because people love transactions and all that kinda stuff but again the the buyouts who actually make big splashes in the playoffs or boost teams in. The playoffs are the exceptions. It's the fifteenth roster spot for a team. Like the lakers clippers right. I think it's value added. I think you have to look at it as the fifteenth roster spot. I think that's i think that's the key. But you can put southern time all star in the in the in the press release. Just don't think in the rotation sure if look is lamarcus aldridge goes to a good team helps in a single playoff game just like at blake griffin helps the nets win a single playoff game. It's worth it is the i just would be stunned. If he'd they either one of them does anything much more than that thing is how they're going to be able to guys. I just don't think there's going to be a lot of action at the trade deadline. And so the guys who get bought out the day that later that day or the day after. So we're talking about andre drummond. Lamarcus aldridge Smother i mean there's always a surprise guy I'm watching Jj redick in new orleans. Let's happens with. Jj redick in new orleans His role is kind of ebbed and flowed. He's on his last year there he's on the trade bloc before Now he's off. And you know i don't know where it's at right now but I think just because of the nature of how tight the trademark it is I think it's the buyout is going to be where a lot of these contenders try to improve. And so it's gonna be a lot of focus on it Under german is not a bad player. He's just not a guy that nobody wants to pay. Twenty eight million two thousand twenty one and You know i think the same for lamarcus lamarcus aldridge. Is you know making the salaries making twenty four million and a guy that you were counting on to be a core piece. He's not a core piece anymore. And is you know not effective yet that you get him that way. You look at him another way when he's on your roster for the minimum and he's running for options you can go to so I'm a little bit more Optimistic but look. I'm not disagreeing with anything. Bontemps san i think that could be true Still like words coming from..

All these years of being remarkably handsome have have finally paid off my fiancee. She's she's a big listener to She listens to the to the early week. Pod when i'm not on oh wow Bontemps he put it on twitter and instagram. So it's not a secret but he. He looks very happy. I'm very happy for mcmahon. Man's you know we like him on edge. We don't like him happy though we him. A little plug. Got plenty. Ed but alex likes to pretend he's miserable all the time but it's good to same happy manhattan's little social media victory lap. You see her. She's finding a mug man. Come on now beautiful. Beautiful family beautiful. Thank you really bob. Yes so congratulations on that now down to business forget about this nice all right. Let me get my snarl back last night. You had a story about a rare. This doesn't usually happen. With the spurs the spurs dubai guys out but Lamarcus aldridge who a few years ago demanded a trade from this earth. I like to point out You reported on him being done there. You want to go over the basics What's going on with that. Yeah this is one of those. Well let me just pop on over to the to the pop zoom. You never know what he's gonna say. I didn't expect him to say. Hey lamarcus aldridge has never played for the spurs again but essentially mutual decision. And look. they'd been winning without the marcus. Been coming off the bench. The few games he did play over the last month clearly no they were moving in a different direction and they just completely You know it it. It's final now. There's more him coming off the bench for fifteen minutes at that sort of thing You know whoa is reporting. That optimistic that they can find a suitable trade partner. You know they're not gonna dump him to to siberia You know it looks like that's where pop has been even though he's had the shot and could very easily get his haircut. He is he is letting that main keep going siberia let that man live man. My my my grandfather. Lucien warnick had a beautiful white long main for years. And you know if if you if you still can grow when you're old and you get that silver ponytail type on you. Can you know go headline rock debt. But i know so you know the way pop kind of described it was we're gonna let lamarcus explorer other opportunities in those will be elsewhere and that he deserves that. I you know. Bobby marks posted a video today. Kind of going through all this but it's just really difficult to in house optimistic as they might be i. It's hard to figure out like what trade would make sense for a guy who's got a twenty four million dollar salary so if they don't get a deal done by the deadline he'll be bought out You know potential portland union. You know that could be interesting. Lakers you know the usual savvy. The nets are going to be mentioned with everybody. We'll see what happens would drum and before that But yeah lamarcus aldridge will be playing for. I assume another playoff team at some point by the end of the month by attempts. You not surprised that the spurs win lamarcus apparently went to them and said. Hey i'd like to leave spurs like okay. Yeah the spurs are not for possessions when marcus lamarcus aldridge dozen play the season. This is very complicated. The spurs wanna make the playoffs. And when the marcus plays actively hurts them this is not a blake griffin situation where both sides decided. Hey were young. Team is trying to rebuild. And you're not really a great fit here so let's try to come to some kind understanding in you to go. Move-on play somewhere else. This is the spurs. Wanna make the playoffs. They want to be good. jaka pearl. Who shooting i think. Twenty five percent on free throws this year has been demonstrably better player than on ridge close enough. And he's he's been a demonstrably better player. It'd been far better with him on the court. And look i mean. The marcus came off the bench a couple of games and then got sick right before the break. Now they come back and say he's not going to be around the team anymore Look i i. i can't see any team. Giving up anything. Value to trade for him. And i think if somebody signs him i think it's going to be like blake griffin where you know if he helps the team win one playoff game success. What anybody thinks he's gonna come in and be a huge difference maker. i simply just can't see that While there's some. I've seen some people out there connecting boston to him and possible. Trade and yeah. Boston has a twenty eight million dollar trade exception. So the difficulty of finding a making a trade swap work would not be a problem there. But i don't see boston using that trade exception To get into to get a rental player. And i don't see them going into the tax which would put them in a tax. Pretty sure your best center not really make sense to go into the tax to trade for a guy who should they need a forward. But he's not really a no he's not he's not playing no he's not. He's not playing the four at this point his career. He's in at this point in your special. The way they are now he is you know he has been shooting threes at least exports. That doesn't mean he's playing four. That means you can kind of be that stretch five shooting thirty thirty six percent you on some volume from three point range but no the celtics the celtics. If they're gonna use trade exception they need to make a big splash on one. Because it's the one big bullet that they have and to to your point. Wendy adding a ton of salary and and jumping cannonball into the luxury tax for a guy who's going to be a fifteen minute per game off the bench type of.

"I've seen phoenix suggested as a spot for him back up to deondraye. Make a sign there. Before we went to san antonio almost phoenix ends up and say you know brooklyn does he supplant deondraye jordan as the starter so like you know if he goes to fill that we're again and i've seen that's just a two. They could use a backup center but he'd be backing up embiid. But you're willing to be a backup more more more amenable to that. If you are contending for a title now so portland is just like i say i think aldridge is strictly a center at the stage based on his mobility or lack thereof and who should be guarding and they've got to centers once nourish comes back so he'll he'll land somewhere good. There are plenty. I just mentioned a bunch of in milwaukee's another there are plenty of good to contending that could use lamarcus aldridge assuming he hits free agency. Yeah still good player and you're right. Context is king here. Because if you're aldridge and not only do i think it's about wanting to be a backup on a rebuilding team but you sign there in two thousand fifteen. You're a big reason why they won. Sixty plus games went to the western conference. Finals is got to be some ego in in that situation. Where it's like. You're the starter forever there. You don't wanna be a bench guys sitting behind like jaka pertile with that group as they Kind of scuffle into the playoffs. So obviously what happens if he gets bought out after march twenty fifth. Because i do think he can make an impact on a contender. A couple of things. I wanna get to what it comes to the second. Half one of the biggest stories. I'll be following is if the jazz can continue this torrid pace jazz. Have the best record in the nba. They've gotta great offense. They've got a great defense. They've got three all-stars. They've got the front runner for sixth man of the year right now. They're extremely well coached. They check a lot of boxes howard but there are still plenty of people skeptical about the jazz and their ability to be a real championship team. When i look at u-top one reason i'm optimistic. About their future. Media future is that. I don't see anybody on that team doing anything. That is outlandishly over their heads. But i i don't see anybody doing playing so above and beyond how they normally play that it has to come back down to earth. Maybe you can make the argument. That jordan clarkson will eventually revert back to the more radic shooter that he's been and not the six-man front runner that he is but donovan. Mitchell this is just another step in the progression of a great player. Mike conley last year was kind of the aberration. This is the mike conley. We know from his days in memphis. This is a really good player. Rudy gobert still great defensively. I mean he's always been great defensively offensive with this year. I think he's having the most impact that he's had from screen setting some of the rim running that he's been doing so nothing that i'm seeing suggest that there is a big fall set to come now. They could still lose some games. I mean when they play some of these top tier teams. They could scuffle. But i'm not looking at the jazz as being poised for any kind of big fall now when we get to the playoffs what happens. There is donovan mitchell. Ready to be the alpha in the fourth quarter of a big series. Is mike conley able to be that. Second offense option could joe angles make shots a lot of questions there but as far as the second half of the regular season goes our. If they're healthy. I'd be surprised at the jazz are not the number one seat. What do you think. I think they're going to be the number one seat..

This isn't sources this legitimately gregg popovich telling the world that he's available gregg popovich earlier. We've mutually agreed for him. Lamarcus to work on some opportunities elsewhere. He went on to talk about. How lamarcus has been a great teammate. Etcetera etcetera etcetera. "Which his Minnesota's in the eighty the way things have shaken out so far this year we have lost teams that are at least one is in dire straits so we had marked up the warriors a playoff team and ain't a playoff team? This year the Blazers. We had marked as a playoff team and at least through the first fourteen games. They're five and nine so far and so you've got those two teams so I look at it and I say there's there's places they are once once you get past. The Lakers rockets nuggets clippers and jazz those five teams. Somebody's going to have to be three or six six through eight and you look right now. It's pretty wide open. I mean who do you believe in the most the mavericks sons. The T. Wolves. Those are all playoff playoff teams as of today. Which of those teams do you believe in the most? Mave Sons T.. Wolves the Mavericks. Of course I'm giving them the most they've not even I don't even close they have a potential. MVP on the roster all right and then once you get past there it's like a bunch of losing records and everybody. That's that's what I mean. The Spurs are in the playoff bubble. And I'm just saying like you're always. We never know the way this stuff is going to play out and so by point by point point is I guess they could make the playoffs that yes they could as a six seven or eighth seed Whoop de do they lost in a game seven to the succeed last year. Why are we acting like they're so far? I'm like Oh they'll just great player also get bounced like they lost to the two seed in a game seven so all all five and nine. He'd get rid of their good players. Look you look. You're you're looking. You're looking at this season for San Antonio. I'm looking the next ten years. That's the difference. I'm thinking for San Antonio Right now with the Marta Rosen. He can become a free agent next summer. Is it more beneficial to keep Pimm and maybe slip into the playoffs or is it more beneficial to maybe don't make a trade but at least explore trades. I don't know what's out there for Demar. There wasn't much of a market for him when the Spurs traded for him. That's why there was so much shock when it actually happens but at least thinking about exploring the idea internally. Ah I think that's the right thing to do for this franchise and I have a hard time understanding. How like you are so firmly against that? When the in the long-term Damore can leave? Next summer he could choose to leave and you could lose him for nothing so like you might not have a choice to keep him. He may choose. WHO's to leave and for San Antonio? I'm saying because they're just a bubble team because they're a team that's in all likelihood not gonna make much noise in the postseason. It's at least reasonable to think about trading him and same goes for LAMARCUS ALDRIDGE WHO turns thirty five next year with one year left on his deal. And maybe just maybe in a market in a trademark right now. Well there's nobody available. There's nobody relevant on the market. Maybe if you were to PLOP lamarcus Aldridge on on the block and say hey we're willing to trade the rose inner aldridge maybe for San Antonio some team out there that actually feels like they have a shot is going to be like we. We need that guy and maybe they overpaid for that player. And for San Antonio maybe that becomes a more beneficial decision for them to make rather than keeping keeping them. That's my only point. My only point is that San Antonio is beat sue. Ann is looking at more than just the season. It's not just about making the postseason. It's all building a sustainable winner. That is best positioned for success over the next decade. Not just speaking in the postseason in one thousand nine hundred eighty season. This is about twenty twenty early. Twenty twenty one twenty twenty two twenty twenty three. It's not about bottoming out. It's about sustaining success. In exploring all your options. That's my only point Chris. That's it because as you think you can get something good for Ramaroson right now. That would sustain that success maybe or Lamar especially because especially because the nature of the trade eight market right now. Nobody's available nobody. Good is available. So maybe if you put a guy who to your point in your own words the Rosen is good in Aldridge still has ask Nice moments as well. Maybe if that guy gets put on the market you have multiple teams. That are like we need that guy to take advantage of our situation. This she'd have a shot. I don't know what team that would be. But there's a handful of teams out there that can make moves. Even somebody like Dallas theoretically if they're like we maximize is issue with Luca or Boston. which could use a big man? There's a handful of teams out there or Indiana. I don't know Orlando maybe one of these teams teams like this is a guy that can help over the top. You don't think there's any way that they could keep those two and enhance that. I mean sure you could. You could go that way. That was is the the problem. I don't think the rest of these guys are all that good. If thought that they're the problem it's that they're just maybe not part of the solution in the grand scheme of the franchise. That's what I mean. Like the Rosen is a good player and I think I think it's a shame with the rose in that he gets knocked for not shooting threes. Like that's a that's an issue and his own game that he doesn't shoot threes stories for a lot of reasons but he's also you know it's an issue that he is in a good defender but he's a really good he's transformed himself into a really good playmaker. And and that showed last season when San Antonio put the ball on his hands after Zonta Mari went down to Rosen in the pick and roll in an isolation and post ups to became. I'm of really good. Playmaker for that team in the endless in their scheme of ball movement and he can become a guy who scores for you at the end of the clock there's value in that Eldridge to he. Maybe he is slow down offensively. Maybe he doesn't bring it offensively every single night and he has some annoyingly annoying. Frustrating Games for Spurs fans ends but he can still have big games for you as a scoring post presence. These eyes are still good. My point is that maybe it's just not the right time for them with San Antonio but for another team like it was for Marco Soul Asher Toronto. Maybe they can be that really good piece that a team ads and it can potentially put them over the top and for San Antonio. I think there's logic to at least considering moving these guys or exploring trading these guys because you get get more than you might expect to get because there's nobody else out there for San Antonio. It's not just about the season the next ten years. Well Luckily we're GONNA do podcast. Cast all year. We'll reconvene on this when they're thirty games in their nine right now and and you're like high told you so I'm going to say I still still feel the same exact way you think. They're going to be in the succeed and I can. I mean you might. You might get a chance but I'm still going to feel the same exact in fact way I've got to imagine twenty eight in the NBA and defense is not going to stay that way. I just refuse to believe that I don't I do I mean that's I mean that's miserable. All Twenty Aldridge isn't moving the same way and defense right now. I thought Aldridge's pretty solid last year on the defensive end like almost like impressed that then thirty three years old Doing what he did this year. He does not look good on the floor..

Building anymore. And we understand why he was towards the end anyway I get that so now you're going to, try to win with a core of lamarcus Aldridge as Leonard damore Rosen to solve Patty mills, the young Lani. Walker who you hope becomes a star the day Murray is going to try to win you know winning anything Now I don't know what. Was out there and I think we all agree. We don't know what the Celtics were offering we don't, know what the Sixers were offering we don't know what the Lakers were offering. "John murray so they inbound erik gordon gordon stops at suits and scores and gets the contact so eric gordon we'll have a chance at a three point play here on a turkey jerky nice move by gordon with night oh five to go in the third lamarcus aldridge that'll be his first eric gordon mike dantonio was telling us before the game you know nobody talks about what good player erik gordon is coming off the bench for his squad on a sixty two win team as he misses the free throw six man of the year last year but as you look at his numbers he's got better numbers than most of the starters in the league averaging eighteen points a game off the bench rockets within six spurs with it murray from the right against heart and take some low box extends the arm lost it out of bounds and one official said it went up a murray the other says hardened and it looks like they're gonna roll last touch harden you know what happened there was a lot of contact and they didn't want to call a foul because it was such a crazy looking shot but they just decided to give the ball of san antonio james harden officials are right should have been a file san antonio mall here's a lot toward the rent lamarcus aldridge makes the catch comes down and puts it in pj tucker is garden lamarcus aldridge on they have shredded houston's interior defense here today fifty to forty four there's a pass to the cutting aretha hit hard shot won't get there he'll go to the line for two eight thirty six to go in the third team fouls or san antonio have five while at least five up on the board so it's bonus for the next eight thirty six for houston as danny green own almost had them in the bonus second foul on lamarcus aldridge will put trevor aretha at the line reza's really worked on his free throw shooting it has been successful this year is he makes the first two career seventy one percent shooting at over eighty seven this year.

"No you know on our as its comedic exceptional adel regretted so lamarcus aldridge awful i mean not he's an embarrassment man um yeah and i kept going i blame lamarcus aldridge i said he was the reason that they lost a game that they will let's play the whole clip lamarcus aldridge awful remain now he's an embarrassment man is that he's no good plateau know what happened to him because when he was a portland he was fantastic he is not good dan he called them a game last night though they won the game they bought had the loss of all new it would have been a lamarcus aldridge who ran the only reason it's not is because they won to gain absolute aggression even though they want so sometimes when you're married a long time you could predict yours speight your spouses behavior and so stu god's got in on the raptors there before i can even set up the question of i know everybody our audience is saying the same thing you are of kyle lowry derozen getting out of here get them there that burden bad postseason players i don't trust them i don't trust that team but if the style of play has been substantively changed in the modern era isn't that the thing that the raptors would have to do to make you believe that they could beat lebron outside of actually beating lebrun bright what thing would they have to do what is there a record i can give you where you believe the raptors could be lebrun dan they're doing all the things they're doing all of on their scoring a lot the more derozen stake in threes their bench is a lot deeper this year than it was last year they're doing and they have the best record in the east and at home they basically been unbeatable so they're doing other things i just don't have abhran okay so that it so that's it that's it for me that is it no but see if you think that way then you've got to than houston can't catch up to golden state if an your cannot i don't think they can okay well but you don't allow for it is what i'm saying by doing the analysis of is it hat if it has an already happened i don't trust that it will happen then you're never.

"I wouldn't trade lamarcus aldridge for me listen to this odds who were me now if if if i was still playing in senate's audio said we'll give you lamarcus aldridge paul pierce i'm tournament now i'm duck deal and i and i don't i didn't play that we in the crowd listen this is a guy who's we have so many expectations for him because i combination will the marcus and tony parker nobly and it's just like what i saw from him in the playoffs was a player though was unenthused wasn't excited to play been givens all i i is just like his motors not there no more because i really love lamarcus aldridge in portland i thought he was at one point the best part ford in the league and does this watching this year is just like he doesn't seem excited about the game and it'll be hard for me to try former now typically when a players come at the end of his contract he'd get concerned this is a little bit the inverse logic has one year left and then he's got a player option spurs are kinda worrying he's going to pick it up so that a second i think the price on aldridge will come down not because of the way play the playoffs the spurs have big plans for this summer they want to see if they can get in on chris paul on kyle lowery navy guys who don't even know yet and they already got a break when powersaw opted out.
