"So the people that are coming out and saying it was a bad deal Now, I I appreciate the fact that you're trying to take a stand for Patrick Mahomes 789 years from now. Where nobody knows what the world is going to be. Who knows how many fans we're gonna happen? Stands what salary caps gonna be? I guess it averages out to like 18.75% of the estimated salary cap is what he's going to be making for the next 12 years. But the people I'd say it's a bad deal. I just would like to put a piece paper in front of them. That says you Here's $502 million. Sign it and tell me it's a bad deal. That is. Well the same thing with that, Prescott his juniors. I heard Dak Prescott was given a piece paper. It says you will make $31.9 million over the next 12 months. It would be very hard for me to look at that go. No now granted. Dak Prescott is looking at this deal going. I'm happy I didn't sign nothing we got we're in a whole new world. I'm not sure I'll echo the sentiments of a lot of people here. I don't think the deck dash on Lamar. Let's say big. Hell's route was very, very rude. I should not have done that. But Baker is going to be up for a contract here. Let's say they want to sue publisher. Nobody has a clue what's going on Brian. I can see it's gonna be difficult with the chase, especially cause Theyjust paid better bones and motivated But let's say the Camerons up there, but let's say Baker. I don't think any of these quarterbacks Now they're agents might try to pitch in and tell him that it may be some friends and family might tell them, But I think these quarterbacks were looking here. They know, like Patrick bombs at a different level. These guys want him MVP and a Super Bowl already, and he's like he brought Kansas City back to life. And as there are lots you mention this morning he was a part of four of the top five television shows on television last year can see Chiefs were so it's just like that guy is a different anomaly. Not saying that Dash in dash on Lamar Baker Cuyler whoever's up next, whoever ends up getting the big job. Challenge. He gets hot. Who knows? Right at Sam Darnold any of these next? I think they all know that they're not going to get that 10 to 12 year deal. But any time a quarterback or somebody in your position gets signed for a crap ton of cash. It's always good for you. Will this make Dak deal? Get done and get finished? I don't think so. Will this make the dish on Lamar deal? Get done? I don't think so. But I think it definitely means that they're going to get in between 35 40. Now that somebody is getting 45 year You can't just be a good deal for both for both, because passion homes getting $500 million then also, the cancer chiefs have their guy for the next 12 years and greedy made a very interesting point this year that 12 years ago so like the length of Patrick Williamscontract Manning and far from making 12 year and now quarterbacks high speed quarter after making 35 or 45 from homes, so that went up $20 million in 12 years over goes of $20 million people are making 55 million. Patrick Mahomes still making 15 in his last year, those contract, so it's good. Still good for him is good for the team because they have him under control. It could be good for both. And this deal is going to get re negotiating about 89 hours into this thing, because they're going to need some salary cap or Something's going to change our batch. Brahms wants more money, and I think Kansas City the chief's, which is not normal for a billionaire franchise. They have shown a lot of respect to all their players. I think right, I think they've shown Patrick Jones a great amount of respect here. I think what they're doing for their team shows a lot. But, boy, you think that they're going to run in the cap space at some point, and I would assume at that point, there's going to be a renegotiation for this thing, but I think this was can city and Patrick home saying to each other. Hey, we want to do this for a long time. We're going to keep you on this rookie contract for the next two years because we got a lot of guys. Esteem. Okay, We're 27 million for the next two years. This is just how it's gonna work. We're gonna play this out. But we want you to know now that when this rookie deal is up, we want you to get broken off. That is just that is the old all of branch extended, which doesn't normally happen. This does not normally happen in franchises. I mean, you look at the Green Bay Packers are trying to run a Rogers uptown, You know? I mean, you look course once he sounds $100 million deal they draft. Another quarterback about this is not normal. For a franchise to do this in the fact that, the chief said, I think it makes it a much more appealing place for free agents to who potentially looking to ring chase at the end of their careers and take less money because they know they got the guy for at least another decade or so. You think there's cause for concern when you look at over the next 12 years? There's a chance that like Andy Reid won't be there or Brett Beach won't be there. And then at that point, like Mom, skills kind. Ah, waver a little bit, and then they just You know, this is a This is more from Florida's Yeah, that was his. That was one of his point and I can Er stand that there's a thought that Andy Reid might ride off into the sunset in five years or six years of these, but it features still there. He's hiring a coach that likes pat Homes. Look for Cliff Kingsbury to potential movement members on the Cardinals for the Chiefs of 56 years like that is what they're going to Dio. Maybe it's Nagy, by the way, bring Maggie back because he was in that chiefsoffense, you know, get him out of that bear situation, but I believe they will hire somebody. That Patrick Mahomes likes now Could they completely about face on this stance about Patrick Mom's, even though it appears the day after the Super Bowl after he chucked all those beers and had a good time..

"You need to have the courage to look at the world from alternative points of view and not be offended when you disagree speak for yourself. Isn't your twitter facebook instagram feet. SF Y tells you what you need to hear and not what you want. So welcome aboard buckle love and enjoyed our Lamar Jackson skeptics. They need new material. The Baltimore quarterback has answered all of our questions Yes us. I'm a recovering. The Bar Jackson skeptic on draft night two thousand eighteen. I worried about his arm talent. I didn't like his unusual. Release his mother serving. This is agent and quarterbacks coach scared me I was concerned about his mindset and attitude a segment of the sports media wanted to turn the Mar- into a victim they race allies. Lamar selection at the bottom of the first round of the draft. Hell I don't even like Baltimore. General Manager Ozzie. newsome drafting Lamar and then retiring. I dismissed all of Mars. Success as a rookie as a fluke the marquette keep running like that no way and he's still not polish passer. Well here he is ten games into a second season. He's the MVP and he's leading the best team in football that's the takeaway from the Ravens. Forty seven romp over the shot Watson and the Houston Texans. When the game was over the Goodyear Blimp flew over the stadium? With the words the world is yours scrolling bold lights and Lamar Jackson is Tony Montana. Honor from the movie scarface. He just killed Frank. Lopez Aka to Shawn Watson a shot. You know what a Texan is a quarterback who don't throw straight off auto admit I went into Sunday's showdown convince watching what they better quarterback Jackson. That position is impossible to argue today Watson. Wet The bed Sunday Sunday. He tried to do way too much from the outset on the same day. Lamar toss four. TV's and ran for eighty. Six yards watson melted down holding the ball too long taking making bad sacks fumbling and throwing interception it was such a mismatch and Watson. Look so bad. That Lamar mercy on Watson. I'm not GonNa kill you the Shah Roberto this piece of quarterback Lamar at Rg three coming off the bench and finished Assan. This was scarface on a football field field. The world is Lamar's I'm done doubting Lamar. Here's what I missed about. Lamar on draft night. Two thousand eighteen. I did not know how important the game is to him instead of laughing at the idea of his mother as quarterback coach. I should have interpreted it asked. Oh my God. Even his mama loves football so physically and mentally challenging that it's a hard game for participants to love a lot of guys play it for the money and the fame and then there are the Ray Lewis's the Edry's the Tom. Brady's he's the Peyton Miami's who played because the game is part of their soul. That's Lamar Jackson. Not giving him a gold jacket. I mean knowledge that he has the mindset of the guys us who earn Dutch and into the hall of fame yesterday showed up to his post game press conference t-shirt that explains why he's the front won a for. MVP You love this shirt said nobody. Nobody cares work harder. Mark Jackson is nobody's victim like Brady and Michael Jordan Lamar skeptics motivate him. They don't define him is. Is this mindset that separates Lamar Baker. Mayfield the quarterback taken at the top of the two thousand eighteen draft bakers allowed his skeptics to define him. He's obsessed with wrestling with his critics in the court of public opinion. Lamar puts his critics on blast on the football field. The arena where his critics have zero influence. I joining the desk now or Fox sports. NFL Endless Michael Vick and hall of fame. Tidy and Tony Gonzalez are Lavar. Get US rolling. Here has Lamar Jackson. Permanently silenced his doubters permanently. For now you know you know how we live in a world of of current effect right so we heard Mike Talking on Colin Allen Show on and talking about the injury scenario and different things like that. He's one injury away from the critics. Snaking back up on him or coming back into the conversation. Sation in saying I told you so. It's not sustainable to be a running quarterback so I think for now He's a well of job. I think is was a signature. Your victory for him going against the Texans and Sean But he's GonNa have to have some longevity to to quiet them down and I don't even know then it's permanent. Yeah absolutely Louis. Longevity is the keyboard I think he silenced his critics. In in the first game of the season he threw five touchdown passes. I mean he came out the gate strong and part of his motivation. Invasive was an I know was him being called. You know running back or side wide receiver. I mean it was just a lot of things that was probably say to to prematurely and I think he took offense to that and then motivated him this off season. He worked on his game working on the passing game. Come out in the first game. Though five touchdown passes yesterday they do four so I think that's enough to silence critics in the passing game. Obviously you gotta continue to progress and show consistency in the passing game is is going to be required from him for the rest of his career but You know I just feel like you know as progressive as as he continues to move forward. We'll we'll always watch how he progresses as a passer you know. Just so is no doubt and he'll he'll be motivated to continue to play that way and show people look. I'm a complete quarterback. I'm the true threat. Let me tell you something on this guy I first of all I love that. That was a great artist away. You put it in perspective what you can't yeah deny that this guy is special. I mean this is something. We've never seen at the quarterback position but I do agree with what you're saying there. How long is this is dateable people? Can he come out there. Can you do this over a career but at this point who cares. It's so much fun to watch. He's the MVP far. I think he's running away with it. You got to win games and their team. Team is winning Russell Wilson. I think he still has a little little still as long as they keep winning. And Patrick Mahomes. I'm still not rolling that out. But right now. He's the front runner for sure. This this guy you how do you stop this. You cannot prepare for it. He's faster and everybody else on the field. But I feel like it's like you know when we broke curfew view in high school and you come home at least for me on. How was your guy's house that my mom waiting up for me and it doesn't matter what time it's like you're GonNa have to come home sooner or later and I I feel like sooner or later the hit has coming? One of those spin moves and I'm not saying is this year next year after that. Eventually he's going to get caught by Lavar Arrington uh-huh blindsided and you're not gonna be as fast as you used to and the ones that start happens and maybe the game slips a little bit put right but for sure but but this is my issue. This is the thing I had to come to grips with yesterday. It doesn't matter. If he gets hit he can play from the pocket he can throw the football. That's why I think the doubters have been silenced forever. Look there was a point where Randall Cunningham was the greatest weapon in football and he was a lot like Lamar Jackson. Not Quite this fast but it was pretty incredible but but Randall Cunningham had a second life and the NFL with the Vikings as a passing quarterback. And I just. I can't question this dude as a thrower anymore. That's over with so even if he does take that hit. He can still play quarterback at a high level. While I'll agree with that point I still. I don't think that it it must be entered into wit locks Chord of of judgment of of how things go that he's he's ranking thirtieth impasse attempts per game he's ranking twenty-fourth in passing yards per game. He's not throwing for an astonishing number of all effect and again again. But I think it's still brings you back to the original point if that one hit does happen and they say you ride a motorcycle you can and will and should anticipate paid that. You'RE GONNA fall if you're going to run the football in the national football league and that's the original Willie beamon right here sitting right next to us. Willie beamon invisible juice right there. I ended up hitting my big. I got touchdowns off of Mike Vick getting a fumble offer Mike Vick. Somebody's going to catch Lamar Jackson. Somebody's GONNA catch him. He's gotTa throw the ball a little bit more only one time. He's gotTa throw the ball and he's got to throw the ball more than thirty watch yesterday's game he started out one five and then he reeled off ten eleven in a row and because he started out and I was like damn is this the day. He's a passer of the football. Aw and I know. They don't ask him to do it all the time. But he's shown whatever wait. They put on his shoulders. He can care. You can handle whatever early in my career and I remember with some of the doubters and people saying can Mike Vick pass the football because all I put on display was maroon ability especially in college and then you know coming into the NFL. The only thing I can remember being motivated about with sewing it I can play from the pocket you know I know I know I can run the football. I knew that was gonNA come with. Can I go into a game and go twenty to thirty two if I needed to. And they crowded the boxing. I couldn't do anything like that was very important to me. And I know that's important Salaam on the good thing about only throwing the ball. You Know Thirty Times a game as you keep. The ball added deputy out of harm's way so the be effective in the run game. Compliments his passing game. And it's only GonNa make him better because he he's not asked to do a whole lot. You know these concepts. He'll continue to learn and he'll continue to see them over and over again. He's only only GonNa get better even when the defense change according to your article if he years that Peyton manning soul that Tom Brady soul he will get those skills is gonNA come member. Tom Brady when he first came in. It wasn't like he was slashing up the League with his arm but he's got that soul he's got that I'm going to figure out like Michael Jordan you say can't play okay defense all right when I'm GonNa work on that and then eventually going to be different the player of the year. "Would be offended by using unemployed on U. S. healthy for three years any man used to be in bear. Tell them how if any woman should be in bear. We're going to continue our conversation about calling tavern. Who is scheduled to have a workout open open to all thirty two? NFL teams this Saturday. Cabernet has been out of football for three years and says he's been working out at five. Am Five days a week the whole time but even even before his protests cut his career short his effectiveness as a quarterback had fallen off quite a bit Lavar. ARRINGTON is back with us and we're joining us once again for this conversation. TJ Who's been Zodda Marcellus. I'll start with you think Kaffir nick can still help eighteen. Absolutely it's not even even a question The problem is where does it land to get that result to get that impact because if all reports are true Colin Kaepernick is now long for backup job so if is just about a starting opportunity or situation than I don't think a team brings him into the fold in Nat that position because so much invested into starting quarterback and so much is unknown about Colin Kaepernick though player three years removed from to feel and also the person and what is he going to represent when he's a part of an organization so there's been reports before Colin Kaepernick saying no to a backup situation. Whatever that is the truth or the lie of that the point is I think he would have to come in and they slow drip situation situation? We bring you win. We Monitor you. We see how you're going to be a part of this team and chemistry problem is sounds like Cabernet doesn't want that adopt. Oh no question. He can help with team his final season. Yeah Sixteen touchdowns in foreign exceptions now James's San Francisco matter statistically mystically. He was fine now. This is going to have to get adjusted to play football again when you're out for three full seasons and where he can really help team and help himself at the same time. Time is running a scout team. And so he's going to help with team from that perspective and he's going to get himself better in the meantime in in reality sets in and can he has to come in as a backup so coming in as a starter is out of the question. Reality Set I've been out the NFL for three three years the NFL has strived without me. Let's hope they can thrive with me now. Reality will set in. I'll work my way. Hopefully into a starting position he can still help a team. Of course Castillo help a team in in in America the different ways. I should've said. Can you help a team win. Okay but here's here's the problem. The problem is his while he can help the bad or baggage connected to him outweighs the help. He's not going to help. And here's what yeah. Well here's why. If he comes in he comes in. There's going to be a tremendous outcry is going to be a ton of confusion until he starts. There's going to always be the narrative already because it doesn't it doesn't it doesn't really because the Seattle is GonNa be there. All Man will yes and and let me let me tell you one hundred percent income right because all of the all of the supporters that are connected to capture. Nick are not going to see the logic they might not even understand football. Their whole their whole thought process is not doing right back capper nick. It's wrong and that's I WANNA be a problem no matter where he goes about everywhere. I'll go yes yesterday. You made a point about ourselves. Did where you needed to go to through an Ivy League school with the defense so we have a very religious even great to dude.

"Say well he just beyond. Yeah I love to go into a little more the quit paying me now. I'm joined again by Rick. Buchanan Lavar Errington time now for the most fearless discussion of the day all right according to ESPN's Adam Schefter NFL. Commissioner Roger Goodell has organized a special workout for former. NFL Dell quarterback turned silent. Twitter Activists Colin Kaepernick. Schefter said today. That goodell arranged the workout this Saturday in Atlanta because goodell feels bad about how things have turn down for Capriati who has remained unemployed the past three seasons after being radicalized by his girlfriend Nessa and staging a national anthem protests Kapernick and his team of exploiters slash lawyers sue the NFL for collusion and then settled out of court. For a small sum of money he has maintained relevancy via social media by switching between corals an afro objecting to the Betsy Ross flag wearing a wide assortment of Shakey's and re tweeting famous quotes. My point is understand why Roger Goodell feel sorry for Colin Cabinet. Cap has been used and abused by forces. Cap Doesn't fully understand. People took advantage of his justifiable identity. Crisis and defined his identity as a black man by his willingness to torture football career in a pointless publicity stunt. Go I get it. Cap is a victim but not of the NFL. He eats dinner and socializes with his true enemies every day. But I would caution the commissioner with the words I tell all young people pity. Don't pay no bills what I mean by that is pity is a fool's currency. It has virtually no tangible the value. It serves the givers conscious far more than it does the receivers future empowerment or opportunity. I think is aware of this. I I believe that's why. The workout is scheduled for this Saturday. Rather than next Tuesday or the following Saturday Kapernick and his supporters are upset. Bill did not arrange the workout at a time would be more convenient for top level stauton executives to a Tim Cadel has already been over here. What's he what's he what's he reigns? He's already arranged an unprecedented. It didn't work out for cabinet is going to schedule workout for Dez. Bryant Dez torn Achilles. He's he's out of work and looking for his next. NFL Opportunity is Dez is unworthy of empathy. No goodell football. People want to see how bad cap wants back in the NFL. That's important the NFL doesn't need need. Colin Kaepernick. It doesn't need Antonio Brown it doesn't need any of these guys who believe they're bigger than the game can gap can cap get through this workout without paying himself self as a victim. He's off to a bad start his tweet last night and indicate say level of delusion that scary he said. He's looking forward to seeing head coaches and general managers at the workout kept thinks he's too tongue viola or chase young. The hottest prospects on the market cap should be happy. If a half dozen team mm send an area scout and a stop watch our gas Marcellus. Yeah is this workout. A good idea not for Colin Kaepernick for Nick for the NFL. Yes and Preface this by saying my grandma used to always tell me baby. You can't make sense out of nonsense but I'm GonNa try like you said on precedent. Never seen this before active player getting opportunity and this opportunity seeing being forced this opportunity seems like it's for an NFL. And I know reports out there that this is not a part of the NDA part of the settlement settlement. But I would disagree with that I think this is what NDA looks like okay. We have our understandings that we're going to give you another opportunity not to audition for everyone else. Even if it's not a real chance so Colin Kaepernick is within a week of a workout. COUT is told be here. This is where your workout is. Colin Kaepernick is not mutually agreed upon these terms. But why is it called a copper Nick Kapernick tapping outta out of those terms or tapping out this work. Because he can't so now he's going to show up within five days of a workout put on his best performance without even knowing who will will be in. Attendance wanted to change the date. Nope now going on another Saturday. One changed date not. We're now going on Tuesday when you can ensure a greater participation and attendance to me. These are the fine print examples of what a NDA looks like and this is part of that settle nondisclosure agreement. Go ahead yes yes. I don't see how the serves anybodies purpose for me. The Colin happening cavern controversy had died down and was in the rear view mirror. This only brings it all back and to suggest that it proves that the NFL has always had its door open to Colin Kaepernick. Certainly doesn't do it for me either. It's been three years and we're talking about this workout not being for now but being for next season. So we're really talking talking for years now so all you do is bring this back. Look I was down with the cause. And what where this started. What capper apper? Knicks protests. What he was trying to bring attention to? I was down with that. The carrying out of that message is where he lost me. Because there was no messing I just did a podcast with Derrick rose and we talked about the fact that he allowed other people to tell his narrative he was the first one to wear the. I can't breathe. T shirt there grows. Derrick rose was the first one a week later Lebron goes to New York plays Brooklyn He. He wears the t shirt now. This is post. Derrick rose knee injuries. This is Lebron going back to Cleveland and being the hometown hero Derek. When he wore the t short didn't talk to the media? Did it a couple days later. Didn't at the time so now. Other people took the narrative that's what Colin Kaepernick is allow to have happen. And what I see. Is that continuing now. Because he's no more in charge of what's going on. The very beginning is is bad for CAP. Rarely bad super bet all time bet bad bad bad bad and in reality for me. Is that for or something that you you gave your career away for. You gave it to the people. Let's say let's for better way of stating it. You gave your career away for the people you want it you want people to understand what social injustice represents you're using your platform and now you don't have the fact that you are trying so hard and so desperately to get back to the place of where you can demnd and protest protest it and messaged what you want it to become what you become what you've became. I think it exposes a light eight on the fact that this is not about social injustice for Colin Kaepernick. It's about Colin Kaepernick. So it's a bad idea. If you ride out into the sunset onset being who you are I did this. I took the knee. I'm not in the league because of it everybody knows it. Keep getting your work. I hate this whole narrative of. He's he's out of work it's a shame he's out of work no he doesn't work for the NFL the same the same employer that you chose to do. You're protesting. I find it to be very damning to him and I don't like it in the sense that it exposes him for being selfish versus being someone who's for the community I like Rick's point of. I'm not sure if this is good for the NFL. I think a lot of people think you know this is GonNa work out good and makes the NFL look good. I think it just drags this whole conversation back to the forefront and to me. They're having it on Saturday. All this woke media is going to cover it like it's the You know the Olympic gangs. There'll be more media than coaches and interested football people and they're doing it the same man. I'm I'm my whole weekend is built. Built around Lamar Jackson versus Shawn Watson. Guys I can't wait to see play football not some guy that hasn't played for several years. I I just don't get this the NFL just had one of its best weekends ever in terms of excitement games Baba and now here we go again with with Colin Cabinet that play by the NFL. Great play by the NFL Less trust in this. What eighteen billion dollar economy today created that? There's a method to their madness. It's in all respects and I'm GonNa tell you what it is. Colin Kaepernick has stayed relevant in martyrdom and in martyrdom activated in-depth in death or silence. So bring him back to life. Let's bring them back to lighten him. Self showed video taping this. Show this video tape. There's every team going to get to see the mall taping interviews. Well we want to hear because you know what happened when you when you when you lawyer comes out a couple months ago and says you know what I want to clear the air of all the misconceptions which I know he was talking to me because everybody has been saying for years. Nobody else got lawyer age to talk and then also boom right after I say okay so so let's talk. Let's volley you want to clear the air so the NFL says Oh. You think that our discussions aren't private. You want to clear misconceptions so we're now the NFL will do is say Colin Kaepernick. Here's your chance. Are you ready for that opportunity. Are you driving in this moment and its okay. I'm not saying that he's going to fail. I'm saying that the NFL is going to get rid of what has been carrying his platform for this many years. which is martyrdom? Now we're we'RE GONNA GET TO SUBSTANCE WE'RE GONNA get to production. We're going to give from imagination to reality and let the world the genius of it to me. The genius of it is that it's the NFL. Is Roger Goodell Roger. Put himself out there. I want to see this happen. I don't like the way it ended blase about is the NFL so the NFL NFL is facilitating this. That doesn't mean they don't the. NFL doesn't facilitate to each. And every one of those franchises into those owners into them. GM and say you you have to hire him because the NFL sanctioned. This workout is genius to the point is just don't think Roger Goodell woke up yesterday with a different moral compass like just look I look Roger Goodell. I loved opportunity for Colin Kaepernick and I wish everybody who wants to achieve their dreams. Good luck but do not I think that the NFL just woke up and said you know what man he deserves a chance right. This is calculated jaw Hanley. And we're going to play. I get that but I can't erase that it's been three years just because you're saying oh you WANNA shot now. The odds are against Colin Kaepernick. Being able to we go in knowing the chances of him looking good when he doesn't even know the circumstances are against him. But you have to know that so. That doesn't erase the fact that for three years there've been guys is that been on rosters and they've gotten wanted to dry out bottle. Whatever the case may be? It's been three years. He hasn't played. This doesn't erase that. What I really you don't understand is why college at this? Point is taking part in it because he signed onto this. Let me just. I've signed a few in the one. Yeah this is my opinion base information when we're signing the settlement. One of the things I want in this. On top of monetary compensation compensation is an opportunity. Rather goodell says you know what within a calendar year or season you will get your opportunity. And here's the the other thing is surrounded by his enemies that he thinks is best friend. He can't see himself doing anything else for playing football. which is trust so strange? It's strange it's all because trust me if I'm denied work here for three weeks. I'm going to find something else to do. Because in my moral fiber that's what my parents demand. That's what my whole life is built around not going to deny me work. I'M GONNA go out and created myself if I have to again and again my father started his own business because he Jimmy Whitlam whereas whereas they like the way it my mother can work and has worked her entire life. A black woman who was born in the thirties. Ladies she can do it was born last week. He can't get a damn job. You can get unemployment. Part is embarrassing..

"Mayfield strength and so when I look at what car Kareem Hunt brings to the table now being inserted in their offense. He's going to fill. That void joined now by Fox sports. NBA analyst Ric Bucher. I moved to the Los Angeles Lakers. Here's to a hot. Start with the broaden. Anthony Davis early chemistry surprising a lot of people including another big man. Lebron used to play with Chris Bosh who who just told. ESPN's Brian Wind Horse about the risk of playing with the all time. Great saying quote plant with a bomb was like buying a Ferrari. You know it's the best best in the world. It looks amazing. When you see it but you have no idea how powerful it is once you try to drive it you can go right off the rope Marcellus? Is this a shot. Lebron James Ramona roof Ramilia. This and it was one of those shots that pseudo was throwing a rock in hiding your hands because the responsibility of the shot he basically do it out. There would a timer on infinity or at least to India career. And when you step on it he told you it was out there but it wasn't me and it's one of those dynamics that you have to play that because a relationship him and Lebron and obviously of Status Lebron is so there's is no way that you put this out there unless it's the shot but as well veiled covered with lots of blankets and and trying to distract strack from what you're really trying to say into it happens. I see it as a shot. But he wasn't aiming Lebron Lebron. It was a warning shot to crisp to to do at the Tammi Davis in that. Look you just signed up to be in the tractor beam. I Know Lebron has said we're going to play through through a D.. And you get a lot of touches but you have to understand. You're playing a role. This is the Lebron show. And you're playing a role in it and you're going to have to find a way way to exist in that and the up and down that comes with that is can be pretty severe. You're going to have to change who you are to to fit in the Lebron show now. I believe that it's going to work because I believe alternately that is what Anthony Davis is best suited for. He's he's not he's He has played the role of number one in other places but ultimately watching him and I've been in their locker room and seeing the way those two of interacted good with being the number two in this situation. I I really don't think Chris Bosh. It was a struggle. dwayne Wade had to basically hand the keys to the car to Lebron on and say I'm good with it. You take it over that. I don't think it's going to have a problem with it. I think he's well I don't know if he's saying it as a warning shot A. D. as much as he's saying this gold a loyal and what he means it just just what he means by. That is very moody. Lebron came to Miami six five seven zero and Chris like Dan. We got the two and this dude bounce. Didn't tell me way. And he was going. ooh Didn't somebody ended up taking less money. Thinking Lebron was coming back and Blah Blah Blah and so to me that's yeah Lebron's powerful force he'll get you all caught up emotional mad. We win seven titles we both dogs for life and then the dog went running off to clean here. That's a different dynamic off the raw well accurate but context matters their situation was really trying to merge three number ones and their situations o-on team and that is the consequence of trying to do that. Chris Bosh the one and the number one of Lebron D.. Wade had to figure it out before they got to you. So Oh you're sitting there starving in that moment. This dynamic is different where a D. has come to realize that Lebron has to be closer to the end in the beginning. The baby on his way out I will keep in my back pocket Chicago and all that conversation. But I'm okay in this dynamic duo. I'm okay letting this guy lead lead the charge even though is working and functioning through me as the only one up here qualified now making an assumption because of me owning a Ferrari before. Let me tell you one thing about this. He he ain't lie crash Roy Day One. I got their rear wheel. Drive and that booty you right into a disc stories. Instagram pointed at this is Lebron is not gonNA drive you out of control because you didn't know what you were expecting like Ferrari you know what you're getting into when you see Lebron coming. Yes yes not so sure about. I think it's a lot like the Ferrari you know you bought a powerful engine. You know you are playing with a great player but exactly what that that means once you get behind the driver or in this case you get in the passenger seat is a different element and keep in mind. AD said I don't you don't really WANNA play five. He wants to play right. And that's part of the equation. which is you may have your idea about how where you WANNA play? But there's somebody else's how's your ultimately going to make that decision and again I want to go back to the the origination when those guys all came together and we've taken less money and it's all about us and and look I get there were conversation. We're going to go down in his through. We're GONNA win so many titles and there's going to be so much value on the backside of what we do here in Miami and it was nice they won two titles but they did not make history. This is not some. They won't be in writing about the Heat Dynasty Best Still Tim Duncan and the IRS And so I just think he's telling. Ad Anybody that enlisted man like Lebron's going to do Lebron sure don't get caught up in the emotion I think that's fair but in terms of leaving or going in another direction men look lebrons planted a flag he went to he wanted to be an la He went to he went to L. A.. As opposed to go into the lake he planned to the tombstone or we'll get wait. Wait tortured US announcing 'cause I don't think you'll understanding as once again I'm GonNa say it only qualified up here Democrat one at to let me tell it is. It's not the Ferrari. It's you who gets distracted because you get tempted to do too much. So what happens if you get into this situation situation and you get distracted or you think you could do too much it will humble you ima- situation. It was a pretty woman and you know what I had to get where I had to go when I wasn't listening at the speed limit. Would Lebron if you play the role if you understand what this is because I think Lebron great in communication with his teammates not so much outside those borders if you stay in La we'll be fine. You try to manage those expectations were great. Don't speed you do too much loss. And way got out of their lanes. They tried to do too much. They acquiesced ready for this the way we got out of his lane you know why wait was descending when he was true or false yeah recognize. The only way I can. Win is if this guy to drive. You've been married and they felt like this to death do it ain't been bad health. While Lavar Arrington a Greg Jennings are back time now for Dardanelles House question of the day all right take home yes sorrows moved to the news. Receiver Josh Gordon. who was asked on the radio yesterday about moving from the Browns to the Patriots to the seahawks talks and say it seems like in this part of my career? I'm training upwards in quarterbacks. Sounds like a bit of a shot and Tom Brady. When asked you guys? You have a problem with Gordon. Taking the shot go Yeah I do. I think that you know the Patriots showed a lot of patience with this guy. He worked through his off. Field issues and emotional sues no reason to take any shot at anything that happened in New England It's not just a shot. It's a bullseye. which in comedy one one means? It's not funny like you can't just call the fat person fat. You've got to kind of find a person best to vacation is it. Is We get to let me say this wasn't with the negative spirit. It wasn't with malice. It was just factual is shocking because of the name that's included. Tom Brady and brand s including Tom Brady. Bullets be real. WHO's an MVP race right now to quarterback he has now or the quarterback okay Brady's forty two years old. We'll bell at the end of that album's somehow someway. I don't know if the song is going to be good from here to the Altro Tro but what he said was just factually correct and I think he did it with pure intentions. I hear you but I'm with Jason on this. You need not say that with when you're coming off of the career that you've had in the issues off the field in a team and a quarterback let's just be straight specific. A quarterback supports you in pretty much whoever they bring in that system specifically when they have to play on his side of the ball. He's always been very abrasive abrasive. He embraced Josh Gordon. He wanted to work. He was patient. I just don't see how you you take that shot I get it. Is it factual possibly awesome. Ably up that Greg. Yeah I'm up here. I'm which you factual what you stated. Yes but hate it. Used to record you right. I'll go man come on now. Let them just be a goethe. Yeah let me ask you about the go. Go No say lie about it. I don't have a problem island with and I I. I don't think that he meant any any harm by right. You have Baker Mayfield. Who is struggling? You have Tom Brady. who was in the twilight of his career? And you're playing with a possible leading candidate for the MVP. Why why does it have to be anymore you you say? Hey London Fletcher. We're trending upward line. Okay maybe they were Clinton. They wouldn't be. You're saying it wouldn't be if you're saying he play did all in their second London. It is a possible.

"GonNa say somebody else. I want to hear that I am go. Yeah because I'm I'm quick with this is ironic that he's in Baltimore because a guy by the name. Rg Threes on that team. Guy By the name of hello denied. I'm not a play for them. Knocked orgies threes legs and his spirit from his body was so everything. I don't blame the rest right. He is one hit away being in that that that open field. I gotta go with Shawn Watson because I think long term play although I'll look at Lamar and fills a such a way about his talent talent. I'm looking at disarm Watson and say. He gets it and he understands it in a way where he won't put himself in harm's way and I can stabilize an I can win with the show. He didn't the show on doesn't get it he doesn't understand they made them understand it to ACL injuries. Okay will will alter your game no matter how you want to have to subscribe to that though he could still go out there and still one non-contact. Rg Three. We're all way way right but we are all hit away and I think that no now. We'll say to Lamar defense. He knows g three there. But I wanted to Shawn Watson. But he's never been injured. Two daughters a quarterbacks in NFL history in the first nine games of the season with fifteen rushing touchdowns throwing touchdowns five rushing touchdowns and over one hundred. Pass Rain Eh. Lamar Jackson does Shawn Watson. And so I don't think you can pick the wrong guy but I'm going to be selfish because I'm a receiver I'm going with. WHO's as long as the most Shawn Shawn Watts? Now when you compare guys I hate it because you always you put one down. There's no when you the right. There's two quarterbacks in history of the NFL in the first nine games of the season. I'm going with you. Look at what he's doing throwing the ball. Yeah I would prefer as a receiver to play with Deshaun Watson I mean you can't sneeze at the seventy seventy one percent. Completion percentage right now to Washington. This is not a shot of the Shawn Watson Lamar Jackson. We don't know his ceiling. That's the thing about one into Magin nation. I'm not even tomorrow in Production. Just imagination factor too. There are no no injury concerns of yet. There's a lot of predictions lot of forecasting concerned. But we don't need to forecast with shine we've seen that that's who aco concerning right and you know what's good about that the silver lining he still ball and out of control even after two. ACL's so he's not one hit away where we we don't know for sure. If Lush Lamar is GONNA be one hit away I would have started a year out. This would have been the easiest choice in the world to watch him by mile as the season keeps each progressive. And as I keep watching this do Lamar Jackson do things. I didn't think he was capable. I didn't like the way the ball came out of his hand. Yeah now I didn't lie. I still don't like it but now I'm starting to say how Patrick Mahomes and air widen throws it is released as though it's not it's Kinda herky-jerky and so what's the point you just made about. I don't know if I know Lamar ceiling. I thought I did. He's going to be a great runner and he'll be AF- you've messed passer. I keep watching him. And he throws these walls and very tight windows the mostly throws to tidy and things like that in a tight windows I I don't know his ceiling. I'm still going to lean design Watson. Just off of history tradition. What I've seen workers in EH dishonest ceiling? Either though you think so. Yeah he he can he could be the next Steve Young. Yeah again it could be some hooping. We've never been able to stay healthy as a running. And then also because even Steve Young runner it wasn't what Lamar is doing as a runner and so that statement alone is reason enough to not want him. I know it's crazy as that. Sounds for his zillow. The be that high we're ca possibly go that far. You're you're you might feel safer going with a safer. Bet right so I mean I think disowned would be the safer. Bet 'cause you how do you even know how to get to wear Lamar Jackson. John Harbaugh number figuring it out again if they keep him healthy and his plus one. I'll run off as he keeps running like that and throw in bands so your point is funny use. You mentioned this yesterday. The Reggie talked about three gays. Lamar Jackson. This year has not thrown a passing touchdown but in each of those games he had a rushing touchdown. They are playing basketball all playoff me..

"Bill bender kind enough to join me here on the gold standard Bill. How we doing? I'm doing well. Thanks for having me on our absolutely in first off. Let's go all the way back to September. If we can in your watching Cuyler Murray, and I don't think anybody thought he would necessarily want to Heisman Trophy potentially be now the first quarterback taken in the draft. But what do you remember about just watching him early on in the season in some where we've gotten ourselves here? Now in February. Yeah. I mean, you kind of feeling early in the season when she saw him play. No, he opened against Florida Atlantic and lane kiffin and just kind of soul that he had talent. We knew that from his days in high school back in Texas being a legendary player there. And then it just worked out and Lincoln Riley system. I think he was the most exciting player in college football last year. You know, you you can say other quarterbacks are better in that's fine. And we'll probably say that about Wayne Haskins in the draft. But there's certainly a lot of curiosity around that talent and it grew yesterday when he made that decision in height right height always comes up with players heading into the combine heading into the draft. And I'm not sure people have been more focused on a guys height already done. What we're seeing with Murray. How concerning should that? Be when we've seen someone already like last year with Baker Mayfield who a little bit taller, but he answered some of those questions and in had success in his first year. Should we still be concerned about someone's height to this extent? I think we're trying to figure that out in terms of because I think both of us would agree that we has changed a little bit. They've moved into some different college styles schemes and part of you thinks well works in college. And it's working in the NFL. Now, why wouldn't it work? But I think the questions about its frame more than his height or what I would go to because he he is a guy that night huge. And you've got to wonder if he runs the why hits white up probably have the same concerns about Lamar Jackson. It wasn't about him running. It was just I think it's about how many hits they take. So as long as he finds a way to protect his body. I know I wanna see it. That's for sure. We're talking with national college football writer for sporting news Bill bender here on ESPN radio. And give them a follow. If you don't already on Twitter at Bill bender ninety two and everybody's trying to decide or did he make the right decision. I guess ultimately. We'll find out in a couple of years. But at this point in time, it's hard. It's hard to argue with somebody who based off of his statement. Right. Says you know what I've loved the game for awhile. And he wanted to be quarterback. Yeah. I mean, I'm not gonna judge on on either decision. Had he picked base more than fine with that too. I mean, this is his life has talent. And he's blessed with the ability to do both football, obviously, super popular this year. Probably had something to do with it. And he's got people telling him that you know, you can play at the next level. I think he automatically becomes the most interesting person with the combine probably the most interesting person in the first round, right? I mean you and I can tell. Yeah. Like when you and I can talk about bozo net Oliver if you want I think we're going to talk a lot about Colin Murray leading up to the draft. Now, you wrote a column on the five best and five worst fits for Tyler Murray. Let let's start with who should pursue him. Some of the teams that you mentioned there Oakland Miami, Jacksonville, Washington in Cincinnati. What made you choose? I think there's some that are obvious there. But once to me is Cincinnati what what do you make of the Bengals in potentially? If it there. Well, new coach was sacked Taylor. Andy Dalton has got a couple of years left on his contract. I'm based in Ohio. So I've kinda got an idea of how Bengals fans feel at least, you know. I know a lot of them in there. I don't wanna say they're done with Andy Dalton. But there is some wondering ten they get to the next level with him. And okay. What would be an interesting match with the new coach with the new scheme. That will kinda let them forget the Marvin Lewis Sarah, would it work. I mean, it'd be a cell the other part, though, just selfishly speaking they did get them, then you'd have Lamar Baker in Calipari. That's not too bad. Yeah. No. That'd be a lot of fun. Now. Let me ask you this though because he has an established quarterback. If let's say, you went to Cincinnati Andy Dalton, and we all have our own opinion on anti-dole, and whatever, you know, if he's truly a long-term option continuing to be a long-term option. I should say there since the. But do you think if you're Kyle Murray, and let's say he gets drafted by a place that has an established quarterback. His rights are still there in baseball with the Oakland Athletics. Do you think we would be in a scenario like that potentially? If he goes to a situation that he doesn't like where he could consider going back. It's not doesn't hurt to have that on the table that he could go back to baseball doesn't work out football. And that's another reason why don't we have a problem with the decision? I mean, Tim tebow went back to baseball and it took time with him, obviously. But he's a guy that went back to it. And there are guys that Chris Winky went to football after baseball. I can't remember exactly how would he was four to stay. But he made it work. So that doesn't hurt to have that on the table. But I'll say this whoever does draft him. You got to wonder if they're going to take a pick on him. I think he's going to go to a place where he's going to get a chance to place in a rather than later because they're gonna wanna find out if you can I'm with you. Yeah. Because I bring it up because it's the discussion we've had on the show, and if you're spending what I think personally, the calemburg he's gonna end up being a top ten pick. Whether people think you should or not I didn't get somebody is going to be willing to take him in the top ten and if you're doing that odds are you're planning on starting. If not the first year number two, right? Right. And that's why you know the Jaguars the raiders the dolphins. Kind of makes sense Redskins are a little bit trickier. Trying to figure that out. I know that put them on the list. But yeah, you know, you don't know what their plans are. And then of course, a lot of buzz like you said about the cardinals. It will require trading Rosenello. And that's where you know. You saw the rumors. The patriots come up with that happens and the patriots. I think to draft him. But I think if they did it would be with the intention of moving, and because I say that because I think Brady's dad at least got one and three and we kind of do this every year with the past. Yeah. No agreement with you there as we're talking with national college football writer for sporting news Bill bender here on ESPN radio. And what about worst fits you? Also gave us the five worst landing spots. Where do you think you would be a bad fit? Well, I think that like I mentioned the patriots and cardinals. So that those exact reasons I know the giants will come up as a team that will wonder about. But I think Dwayne Haskins. I think Dwayne Haskins will be the first quarterback taken or should be based on what I saw this season from him. I think he's got the NFL, you know, arm fewer questions in terms of durability, and those kinds of things I think Denver will come up as well. But I, you know, all indications from the reports from senior bowl where are the Elway really likes. Drew lock. That's understandable. I think those are some of the teams you'll hear as Well Detroit. Even you know, I'm up here as well. And. I don't know if you can move on from Matthew Stafford for collar Maria. I don't think that's a good idea. Yeah. I saw that report out today. In fact, I believe it was either ownership or management. They're saying that they wouldn't rule out potentially drafting a quarterback there in their first pick, even though as you said, they have Matthew staff that'd be that'd be intriguing. That's for sure. Yeah. I mean that would certainly show that they are ready to move on. But I look at Stafford for me, it's always been about. I think he's always done more with less. They could you know, have a better running game. They're they they've got other needs on the defensive side to that. I with the pick. They have I don't know of quarterbacks the right way to go. There you brought up drew locks name. What do you make of the rest of the class Haskins? You mentioned as well overall. We know it's weaker than what it was a year ago. But just where would you kind of compare it, and how strong overall do you think it is? Well, I think, you know, not like last year where we were talking about, you know, whether it was Baker Rosen or Allen or Mayfield. It was just a Lamar Jackson. It was just ridiculously loaded class and this year's little bit weaker. And I think that's why Tyler Murray kinda is taking advantage of an opportunity same with Haskins because next year you're going to have to and from a couple of others. And then the year after that, I think I mean, I'm going to be honest. I over all of them right now. I'm sure. Yeah. And I think just based on his potential, I think he's got no next generation type arm all over him. So I that is what I'm saying. If we're dealing with competing with Haskins drew walk and a guy like Daniel Jones, guys some teams are gonna to talk themselves into. And that's why I think you know, Murray has just as much chance as anybody else. Lastly for you Bill other than quarterbacks at the combine you said everybody's going to be focusing on on Kyle Murray and other quarterbacks as well. But if we take ourselves away from that position. What's another guy? You're most intrigued by is it Oliver in both slurs. There's somebody else. Well, I think well became Metcalf. My goodness. Now. He looks like he should be in a superhero movie NFL field. I mean that that guy's ridiculous. And you know, like, I said the defensive line. This is the year where you can get that rather. It's all over Boza. Rashawn Gary Quinton Williams. I wanna see if I'm watching the combat. I kinda just wanna see how those guys stack up because it is a very deep defensive line class. I know that's position dominated college football. The last few years wanna see I'm just curious to see how those guys shake down. Bill bender national college football writer for sporting news, kind enough to give us his time tonight here on.

"Although it's obviously leaning the other direction it's leaning a little bit more wide open type of attack. But they'll wanna they'll wanna position those guys as other great system quarterbacks. You know, what they're not in Lamar to we still want to see more from him throwing the football. I think on a consistent basis, and that's just gonna come with time. We're going to see that he's going to have to develop as a passer, but to see Lamar Baker succeeding at the level that they're succeeding at right now. I think it's great maybe even more so than the others and one thing just to go to keep it on quarterbacks. We talked about Cuyler Murray and the importance of this game coming up as the how he'll be perceived as an NFL prospect. If in fact, he. Sides. I'm not baseball anymore football. And we have to see how that play. Everybody expects them to be in Oakland AM saying if he isn't if his mindset is I want to be an NFL quarterback. This game is important to become that first round pick. If he's struggling against Alabama. And he looks like he's five eight and they think he's five nine, but it just looks too short. And he's getting passes batted down the pressure's getting too he's just not playing well that will be hurting him. If in fact, he decides he's going into the NFL draft and given up baseball if he plays great against Alabama, and he has answers for Nick Sabin who was a defensive guru. In addition to being a great football coach, and he always the front. Yeah. An guys from get after you and own a back end some really Deontay Thompson best safety in college football is it Alabama and there's young corners. They got talent. Even though it has some injuries on the back end. They're pretty loaded if he does well and puts up forty plus points or thirty plus points, even against this team and looks good boy, he's climbing. He's climate Dr because nobody's looking at five nine. Anymore because they see the Russell Wilson's five. Ten and three quarters. They're not gonna worry as much. But if they struggles at five nine I Terry Bradshaw. A couple of weeks plan to five nine have done it five nine this off. He doesn't play. Well, that'll be hey, that's college and working five nights, not working. So this is huge from the standpoint if collar Maury wants to be an NFL draft choice, come late April or he decides to go the Oakland A's. It's a moot point. Then we don't care about it. We don't worry about it. Then if he goes at Oakland says, I'm not playing football and playing I'm a baseball player only fine. Then it won't matter. But it will matter big time. If in fact, he says, hey, I'm football only I'm going into the NFL draft this game impact that tremendously that for Mel is straight talk.
