"Suite two day three to one and we are back. It is august nineteenth. We are in laguna beach california where we were yesterday and we are enjoying this amazing view from the laguna beach surf and other pacific ocean. I got up extra early this morning. So i could videotape a lot of the surfers. I actually was videotaping. Yoshi as the surfers were hitting the ocean and there were probably twenty five or thirty out there right outside of our window and it was inspirational at the very least but i have to say surfing for the most part. Seems like what you do. Is you flowed out into the ocean with your surfboard. Hang out with a bunch of other guys until you basically decided it's time to go to work. I mean there wasn't a lot of surfing going as i'm saying but they're optimistic. They're hopeful and actually i thought it was. It was fascinating because really at the end of the day. Surfers are nothing other than proactively generators right. They're out there prospecting. Though in my opinion they're doing a little bit too much waiting around for the wave to show up versus the other guy that we told you about yesterday and he was out there again today and he was one of these. Automated arrow foils so again twenty five or thirty surfers right of our back window here on the pacific ocean all waiting around for the outweigh of to arrive. And the guy in the airfoil was off to our right and he was just cruising around having a good old time you know riding on the ocean getting his waves and whatnot and while those guys were still sitting there waiting for the waves to come in he basically had his fun and you know basically come back and went on with his day and actually sort of reminded me of what reminded me to tell you guys. The story is a. I posted a video that on instagram. But i was on the phone this morning with the guy with the first team of david and i know he's podcast listener so i won't mention his name. 'cause i didn't ask permission. But he told me a funny story. That was exactly like what i just described you. Just it was a real estate story. So here goes. He said. Last april is in this april. He was going to all the centers of influence past clients dropping off. Forget me not seeds to his hers of influence and past clients while he was listening to.

"A high speed Police chase, which on Ly ended after Brandon blew through some stop signs and decided to finally pull over. I could have done that earlier, Brandon and avoided all of this. You guys think he got out, ran around and open the door for turns out this single hunk who loves hiking and fine wine. Of course, he had an outstanding warrant for five trafficking. Drug cases call women paranoid When we want to get background checks date. It's only five, though in the past. Now he's also facing me. Or charges, including alluding and obstructing an officer. The cops let his date go, and the only thing she said, was that she didn't know he was wanted. And I'm assuming we're probably going to hear from Brandon in the near future when he's wondering why he's not getting a 2nd 2nd Make sure that's not your only phone call, though. Brandy, you only get one. It's next laser stories out of Laguna Beach, California There's a 76 years. Billionaire named Bill Gross, and he's been in a battle with his next door neighbor, A 56 year old, very rich but slightly less rich guy named Mark Tofik. Even their names like he's only worth 700 million. Mark is a tech entrepreneur. Alexis perked up over their seventies 60 guys, They're pictures anyway. Mark doesn't like that bill put up a 22 ft Long blue glass sculpture on his property last year like millionaires bickering over fight are OK, ugly and he put up poles and netting around it to protect it. It's so marks. Says it's blocking his view. So he called the city to complain. Oh my God, and Bill got revenge on him for the complaint by that petty, he did it by blasting the Gilligan's Island theme song.

Billionaire accused of tormenting neighbor with 'Gilligan's Island' theme song

"So there's a and check you like this story, too, because it's about a guy who's so rich that he really doesn't care about following the rules anymore. He's a 76 year old billionaire investor named Bill Gross. He lives in Laguna Beach, California, and he's been in a battle with his next door neighbor. Another rich guy, 56, year old, very rich, but slightly less rich guy named Mark Topic. Who's a tech entrepreneur now Mark the second guy. Doesn't like the bill put up a 22 ft long blue glass sculpture on his property last year, and he put up pulls and netting to protect it. Now, Mark says, it's blocking my view. So he called the city to complain. You know, it's not blocking his view, You know, He just thinks it's ugly. It is making the whole neighborhood ugly. 22 ft. That's pretty big. Anyways, so he called the city to complain. Bill got his revenge on him. By blasting the Gilligan's Island theme song at all hours of the day s O Every time this guy comes home at full volume, hears this back just flew over and over and over And over this time you even know what Gilligan's Island Is that where that bucket right By the old TV show that was killing old TV show from the sixties. You know, he said in his house waiting for him to pull up in his car. Yeah, Gilligan's Island so guilty he must know something he must know. His neighbour doesn't like to show it to you like the show because it's very maybe Gilligan slept the guy's wife. We don't know it's going to be an inside story of why'd he picked that theme song Lawsuits charges restraining orders have been filed. There's going to be a hearing on the restraining order's harassment charges next week and They think they can do no music until the middle of next month to get the rights for his permit for a sculpture. But until then, way something way more

"Goes so fast I can't get any what do I just go to the corner of her eye right now to let's go to first in Laguna beach California you're on with mark Chris hi yeah I did that on the screen I do find it anytime I ask anyone from the left like that last caller who just seem like he gets wait till everyone safe if you ever ask a follow up question Mike well what if we aren't safe for what if there is no vaccine or would like they just never have a plan there's there's never a point yeah I don't know if that's what you want saves roughly right there is no plan to do it it reminds it reminds me when I asked my wife what she says you know just I just want you to listen to me and I'm always trying to problem solve it sometimes you want you to listen I feel like that's kind of how the left did they they just they don't want to come up with a solution this is what you will with his younger self in trouble with your wife you had you know you remind me of Sherrod brown he sent to Mnuchin yesterday how many more people have to die okay cool what no one died and never open up the economy what do you think that would be like it's all about the plan I like anyone with a plan but having no plan there is no way to live we have to move on exactly right call Chris in Laguna beach I don't want to talk on the beach or at least the same request I was at the rally three weeks ago we all went on the beach so she's on I'm glad you're not arrested were you can get a ticket we don't have too much time looking at some other ideas out before going back to you Gavin Newsom kind of talk about Gavin Newsom anybody notice like I did that when he talks maybe don't watch him he jumps up a little bit he keeps jumping so I figured either he's on drugs and uses words like mitigating collaborated with these people is Nancy Pelosi's because and I didn't even know that I can I think that explains some of it and of course Cuomo in New Jersey governor leading covert patients infected elderly in nursing homes can you believe how many deaths are on them by the way Bernie Sanders never want to be president he was an ideologue so I I get why he's not doing his thing anymore so there I am the other day watching Neil Cavuto after trump admitted to taking Lysol Ono he didn't take Lysol a lot of people said he didn't know he didn't take Lysol I mean Clark Wade or and saying oh my god you ever watch notable computer this is just going to die everybody says a strange weird weird fox is not the same player I've seen people talk about that Robert you're on notice Sean who's on the board of directors not fox I bet you don't know I thought Hatcher Paul Ryan haha you see have really he's checking out it doesn't trust me okay go check it out much champ or Chris Wallace always on the negative side Hey it makes sense what's going on with fox I think does mention that the other day and I think Alan didn't understand Neil Cavuto is on every day not the business hours he's on fox news so you can see yeah fox your world with Neil Cavuto I said this before Christopher ray has to go week I could do better and I don't know the FBI please he's hit all the stuff and nothing none of it's come out and here's a big issue well really I mean this sincerely in Los Angeles we they've been talking about no more houses in a sense like it used to be in the past now they could build they've changed zoning so I have a private house and they can now build stories up they could build apartments yeah yeah they've changed John's looking at me shocked they've changed the zoning I guess what this is shown after the New York City subways right that's were all those deaths came from because people had no choice No Way Out and so Los Angeles we don't have the same subway system what they want more density here I don't think so I think we're right in Los Angeles all along that a better way to live is the live spread out yes John saying I hope they learn from this and consider you want Gavin Newsom to consider this or Garcetti the density in a York the population there and that they build great subways I mean when they do the eighteen nineties of the nineteen hundreds whatever it was a great idea and they're my brothers now they both moved to Texas and if I could get my kids maybe Allen Dulles and Sean all what happened to California dreaming when I moved out here this was a paradise this was an unbelievable place the left can destroy a paradise that's what they've done to California Ronald Reagan's city on a hill is no longer I can't believe I'm saying this yeah the weather's great and I've got friends here and I've got a religious affiliation and I got my kids out here now but I'll tell you I have when I see your city and I see a Gavin Newsom and I see the leftists I think one of my doing here what happened to the freedom what happened to the idea of America was being anything you wanted to pay that they leave you alone to do your thing to live your life the way you wanted to that's no longer the case in California there was pelo see she doesn't want trump to take Cllr Quinn but she does want to take license just said that she left half take Lysol and there's Biden saying come on man to trump does he say anything else may be said that the terror read to but I can't let this time go without saying on Monday and we have another second coming up I don't get to calls for canned then we have Memorial Day coming up to honor our fallen heroes they didn't die to make this country something it's not there was freedom there was liberty this was the first time in the history of the world that we said we didn't even need the government to tell us what to do with our lives we could live it are the best as we could and only answering to god what almost looks like it's changing now now the left in power wants to tell us how to live what does happen to the United States of America in twenty twenty I think that's been the theme today this is not the same country but we have to fight for it and we have to re elect Donald Trump he really does have to continue cleaning out the swamp hallmark as they're.

"Two seven five five three six anywhere in the U. S. or Canada outside that area still call so call just to scrape out and it won't cost you anything eighty eight eighty eight yes we are let's go back to the phones and line three Jim in Laguna beach California hi Jim hi how are you wonderful how are you doing I'm doing fine you know we all I've been listening to use sense I think in the early eighties article called scene of PD I was I was never really on scene that I was I work for seen it before they got in the TV but I was on ZD net it was on CNBC it was a put some called the personal computer show with Gina Smith and that was around ninety two yeah Yaya yeah I think that's probably what it was but anyway thanks for all that you black pleasure hi my pleasure I have a status Z. one three sixty camera yes and I've loaded it with a dual fisheye plugin installed and it uses something called a dual fisheye plugin remote yeah well actually let me before we go too much further because people going what the hell is he talking about this is a hits are from Rico it's really cool three hundred sixty degree camera the way it does it is it's actually quite clever they have two lines is it's a little a little device you can hold in your hand kind of like the size of a kind of oversized his dispenser and on the front and the back there are giant fish I will globes for fish eye lenses there so why these fish islands is that they can capture a hundred and eighty degrees so from all the way to the left to all the way to the right on that side of the camera well if you got to with those each of them getting all the way to the left and all the way to the right on each side stitch them together this is the key by the way and you've got a three hundred sixty degree images quite a good dizzy one you spend a little money on that one that's their top of the line it's kind of quite a good image four K. image and the problem is you need specialized software to look at it so you can put on you to where you can put it on Facebook and then people can rotate their phone around or if they happen to have VR goggles like the oculus rift or the HTC five they could put those on and look at it that's kind of cool because then they're in immersed I've used these Rico's as I got on my travels and it's kind of fun because friends and say that we were in the Galapagos shot a three hundred sixty degree tour as we walked over an island that was kinda cool way to go to the Galapagos that you actually being there so so you've you've got this have you been using it well it's just I'm new to it and what I did is I installed what's called the dual fisheye plugin that I'm not I'm not familiar with this from Rico or is this another third party of project it's a third party product and what it does is it stacks DNG raw overexposed and underexposed own nature's gather to give I guess more rain it's called high dynamic range H. D. R. yeah yeah that's exactly thank you and it only uses an android device to access it remotely so my question is is which you suggest of the android tablets well they're all terrible even Google when it made the tablet the pixel C. kind of a band that the the only decent android tablets are as expensive as iPads are from Sam sung so and you want a good screen because you're gonna be photo editing on this thing well I think I am now knowing about the stacking which I'm not really quite familiar with yet but I basically well and while I was waiting to hear from you I noticed that I I got an email return from the developer which I asked the same question ice and hit her India is very good and and his reply was it's for android only but no need to be powerful at all it just sends a fused command okay yeah I think he intended for the phone because honestly right most people using android are using phones there are very few android tablet users out there the best android tablets or the Samsung notes over there that is not just the notes they have a variety of of very nice android tablets but there is expensive as iPads they start around five hundred dollars but they have good screens big screens don't remember that Rico already offers software for your seat is that one for your PC or mac so you can run their software and do many of the things these plugins will do this one looks like you want to particularly do it for H. T. R. is that why you want to do it yes I do okay so you want to do it I think that as I remember my Z. one that did H. T. R. there's an HDR mode already built into it so the way H. E. R. yeah the wage here works as you name it you nailed it is it takes multiple images at different exposures and people can do this manually with any camera you take it exposed for the brightest object so that that looks normal then you take it exposed for the darkest objects to that looks normal and then you take something the the normal shot that balances both when you stack them you can either do this manually or it's a lot easier to do with software this offer will look at it and take the parts that are perfectly exposed and merge them together so that even the lightest and the darkest parts of the picture perfectly exposed that's a high dynamic range photo and it's you know a perfect example of you taking a picture of a sunset because the sunset itself is extremely bright the sun is still even though it's not it's setting is still very very bright usually so bright that the land that the sun is setting over is too dark to see but if you stack these photos one exposed for the someone expose for the land you can then get a single photo that has both properly exposed so that's what this you know dual fisheye plugin does but as I said I think we go sells their own that you can use on a desktop if you're aiming to answer your specific question I would look at the Samsung galaxy tabs or the Samsung note tabs those are very good probably the best android did the last man standing Acer and asus and others make android tablets but Sam song I think it does the the best of all of them I just wish they were less expensive you know I mean if you know he said you don't need a lot of power so you could you know you should actually as long as you've got a nice conversation going with a guy so it wouldn't work on Amazon fire those are Andrew but they're adapted and but you can with some effort get S. the Google play store on there and you can get any android app on there and they're cheap they're ninety Bucks but so it it depends on what are you gonna use it just for this yeah it's just for this application I was using my iOS to do right built in HDR and you were happy with that although I was but the forms also to get the maximum quality tribe is what I'm struggling for you've got to have this thing called the dual fisheye plugin interesting I'll have to try this mais Miami one is sitting on a charger in my office on used the only reason they are your realtor is there a reason you want these three sixties are you just playing with it well I want to dial market small businesses perfect new panels for them exactly so there you go and then I'll and I also want to have GPS because I want to attach the panel two Google street view perfect yeah a lot of people are doing that that we did that in our old studio we had a a service come in with three sixty cameras he shot the whole place upload it to Google maps so you can take a virtual tour of the business on Google maps that was that's a good little business I like it and I think this you want to be well suited to that certainly less less less expensive than the predecessors which were extremely pricey well the other thing you can do and doctor moms reminding me that most Chromebooks now you should ask the developer can I use this is is it available on a Chromebook as if you can use in a Chromebook that probably the best way to do it Chromebooks now support the android store many but not all android apps so I asked him if I could you say can I use a Chromebook because that would be that a more useful tool some in the chat room it says I made that too says I have both the Samsung tablet and a Seuss and he's very happy with both A. S. U. S. there might be a little bit less expensive generate tablets as well in the E. model's results Simpson lower anti models are a little bit less expensive still though I consider them fairly fairly pricey they they're the galaxy tab S. the galaxy tab a I don't see an easy but maybe there's an E. as well which is less expensive those are the those are the core the class acts the reason the android tablets didn't take off is because most android apps just don't work well in tablet mode they they just look like phone apps you know they don't take up the whole screen but if he says he is does then that would be worth it whether it be very disappointing is if you get a tablet and his apps still looks like you're on a phone then you've gained nothing exactly right so maybe continue that conversation since he's good enough to respond to you that's great yeah the tool fish I plug in I'm looking at it it's available on the plug in store for this data cameras so I will I will give it a try I think that's a neat idea really one of these really the design is you you know you're carrying around theta with you when you also carry around a phone so you can kind of manage these pictures as your mobile but then you get back home and that's where you're going to do the main editing on your computer all that that was my work flow is just to capture the image you know and I like writing your screenplay to deal with that there's a little mini LCD screen on the front of it but you know I know you can't use that I know and yeah and yeah hello it's intended I think that Z. is intended all the rate Ricoh theta Izzard intended to be used with a phone to the phone so you can see what you're taking a picture of if nothing else right into my work clothes and bring it back into use like real men to use their state okay good so you are doing on the desktop you just want something portable while you're out there in the field shooting right and I maybe I could ask you this do you think it's not critical how good this screen is now because no it's like designs using a good picture you just using it to position the picture yeah the frame it and honestly there's not much framing required because it's three hundred sixty degree right yeah well that's one thing I took me awhile to figure this out I don't have to aim the camera it's not it's just basically it's everywhere a monopod around yeah yeah I take a lot of pot with it and you put on the monopod that's the main reason you want on the phone so you can step out of the picture and shoot it otherwise otherwise you you're in it but your you know your big head is in and you don't really want that so yeah nobody wants nobody wants your big head this is you know I have a couple of these three sixty three cameras I kind of I'm enamored of the idea but I've yet to find a good use for miles of the GoPro fusion which is a very good three sixty does the same thing as to fish islands is back in front I think this data the fate is Z. one is is really a very nice camera but it's about a thousand Bucks so it's right well I was looking at them the left panel but was kind of a new camera I thought since it's been around for a while all the applications really good here yeah my problem is I'll take a picture of the day I don't know what to do with this I will but you've got a good use for it so I think that's it that's a sensible to spend some money on it and get it right thank you it's a pleasure talking to you well thanks so much will take your advice and care you showed up yeah thank you on our show today when we get this right now because lady Laura told me I did the ads that order last hour is brought to you by I drive let's do I drive I love I drive I think I drive is such a good idea so what is I traveled back up the pure and simple yeah that's not complicated everybody needs back up but here's what you need you need back up that is off site now this is a little something special off site means even if something disastrous happened at home you still have a good copy of your data in.

"Seven five five three six anywhere in the US or Canada outside that area still call so called just you scrape out and it won't cost you anything eighty eight eighty eight yes we are let's go back to the phones and line three Jim in Laguna beach California hi Jim hi how are you wonderful how are you doing I'm doing fine you know we'll have been listening to use sense I think in the early eighties article called scene of PD I was I was never really on scene that I was I worked for Cena before they got in the TV but I was on ZD net's it was on CNBC it was a put some called the personal computer show with Gina Smith and that was around ninety two yeah Yaya yeah I think that's probably what it was but anyway thanks for all that you'd like pleasure hi my pleasure I have a state is the one three sixty camera yes and I've loaded it with a dual fisheye plugin installed and it uses something called a dual fisheye plugin remote yeah well actually let me before we go too much further exploring what the hell's he talking about this is a hits are from Rico it's really cool three hundred sixty degree camera the way it does it is it's actually quite clever they have two lines is it's a little a little device you can hold in your hand kind of like the size of a kind of oversized his dispenser and on the front and the back there are giant fish I will globes for fish eye lenses there so why these fish islands is that they can capture a hundred and eighty degrees so from all the way to the left to all the way to the right on that side of the camera well if you got to with those each of them getting all the way to the left and all the way to the right on each side stitch them together this is the key by the way and you've got a three hundred sixty degree images quite a good dizzy one you spend a little money on that one that's their top of the line it's kind of quite a good image four K. image and the problem is you need specialized software to look at it so you can put on you to where you can put on Facebook and then people can rotate their phone around or if they happen to have VR goggles like the oculus rift or the HTC five they could put those on and look at it that's kind of cool because then they're in immersed I've used these Rico's as I got on my travels and it's kind of fun because a friend to say that we were in the Galapagos shot a three hundred sixty degree tour as we walked over an island that was kinda cool away to go to the Galapagos managing actually being there so so you've you've got this have you been using it well it's just I'm new to it and what I did is I installed what's called the dual fisheye plugin that I'm not I'm not familiar with this from Rico or is this another third party of project it's a third party product and what it does is it Zacks DNG raw overexposed and underexposed I'll need to gather to give I guess more rain it's called high dynamic range H. D. R. S. yeah that's exactly thank you and it only uses an android device to access it remotely so my question is is which you suggest of the android tablets well they're all terrible even Google when it made the tablet the pixel C. kind of a band that the the the only decent android tablets are as expensive as iPads are from Sam sung so and you want a good screen because you're gonna be photo editing on this thing well I think I am now knowing about the stacking which I'm not really quite familiar with yet but I basically well and while I was waiting to hear from you I noticed that I I got an email return from the developer which I asked the same question ice and hit her and yet very good and and his reply was it's for android only but no need to be powerful at all it just sends the fuse command okay yeah I think he intended for the phone because honestly right most people using android are using phones there are very few android tablet users out there the best android tablets or the Samsung notes over there that is not just the notes they have a variety of of very nice android tablets but there is expensive as iPads they start around five hundred dollars but they have good screens big screens don't remember that Rico already offers software for your seat is that one for your PC or mac so you can run their software and do many of the things these plugins will do this one looks like you want to particularly do it for H. D. R. is that why you want to do it yes I do okay so you want to do it I think that as I remember my Z. one that did H. T. R. there's an HDR mode already built into it so the way H. E. R. yeah the waste your works as a unit you nailed it is it takes multiple images at different exposures and people can do this manually with any camera you take it exposed for the brightest object said that that looks normal then you take it exposed for the darkest objects to that looks normal and then you take something the the normal shot that balances both when you stack them you can either do this manually or it's a lot easier to do with software the software will look at it and take the parts that are perfectly exposed and merge them together so that even the lightest and the darkest parts of the picture perfectly exposed that's a high dynamic range photo and it's you know up a perfect example of you taking a picture of a sunset because the sunset itself is extremely bright the sun is still even though it's not it's setting is still very very bright usually so bright that the land that the sun is setting over is too dark to see but if you stack these photos one expose for the someone expose for the land you can then get a single photo that has both properly exposed so that's what this you know dual fisheye plugin does but as I said I think we go sells their own that you can use on a desktop if you have me to answer your specific question I would look at the Samsung galaxy tabs or the Samsung note tabs those are very good probably the best android did the last man standing a certain a suse and others make android tablets but Sam song I think it does the the best of all of them I just wish they were less expensive you know I mean if you know he said you don't need a lot of power so you could you know you should actually as long as you've got a nice conversation going with a guy say would it work on Amazon fire those are Andrew but they're adapted and but you can with some effort get S. B. Google play store on there and you can get any android app on there and they're cheap they're ninety Bucks but so it it depends on who are you gonna use it just for this yeah it's just for this application I was using my iOS to do right built in HDR and you were happy with that although I was but the forms also to get the maximum quality tribe is what I'm striving for you've got to have this thing called the dual fisheye plugin interesting I'll have to try this mais Miami one is sitting on a charger in my office I'm used the only reason they are your realtor is there a reason you want these three sixties are you just playing with it well I want to market small businesses perfect do acknowledge for them exactly so there you go and then I'll and I also want to have GPS because I want to attach the panel two Google street view perfect yeah a lot of people are doing that that we did that in our old studio we had a a service come in with three sixty cameras he shot the whole place upload it to Google maps so you can take a virtual tour of the business on Google maps that was that's a good little business I like it and I think this you want to be well suited to that certainly less less a lot less expensive than the predecessors which were extremely pricey well the other thing you can do and doctor moms reminding me that most Chromebooks now you should ask the developer can I use this is is it available on a Chromebook because if you can use in a Chromebook that probably the best way to do it Chromebooks now support the android store many but not all android apps okay so ask him if I could you say can I use a Chromebook because that would be that a more useful tool some in the chat room says I made that too says I have both the Samsung tablet and they sue said he's very happy with both A. "Different ones here the day hello Laguna beach California and James hello James hello there hi I do a yes yeah I wonder sure a quick story we I'm from a very mixed family we have a digital Chris do you have the Christian L. about large family in March my district in LA which is the situation the truth that's what we usually home are always parties we stop that ever since trump got elected and I became the black sheep of the family to care about you I read again I am five five as a Republican so it's been interesting experience with everyone in the family having a party box preference some are funny supporters others were killed the supporters and here we are today take it up a little I was out I I that what was it after Hillary supporters what did you say supporters we all of well we did have a Clinton supporters I know that you said something well a lot of them go on reddit ever since you announced that you were running as the Weinstein neo yeah I kind of fell out of favor today what kind of one of the corners and documentation says another way way way way what does that mean no communication since what are you talking about or if you give me one second are you talking about siblings parents cousins who is speaking about our nieces and nephews they they no longer speak to you are they choose not to buy buy buy a supporter of dump truck so wait wait wait so what meal did you have with family no it was all planned that would cancel it was K. when was when was it canceled well they they kind of disinvited mailers it's very normally held in Huntington beach usually previous years it was held up in March my district in LA but I understand everything my run I've become the black sheep of the family I should that yeah you mentioned that okay why that's so he didn't even get a chance to have the answer my question what happened at the dinner I'm sorry my friend it's amazing through have brainwashed relatives also it's it's who we would never do that to them if I had a cousin who who was it on the Socialist Party we just think you know these are crazy lefty because in the you know Tim but it would never occur to any of the conservative members of my family not not to have them over okay let's see here Patty in Simi Valley California hello hi Dennis we're all going well I'm sorry I hope you're doing well because I do I hear you fine it was there was there was another yeah because actually the reason I'm calling from is seven a national park because I did not want to sit at home and not be invited to Christmas dinner I wasn't invited to thanksgiving by whom we were not invited well I really don't have a family of my own so I have my siblings and it's always you know the same one or two siblings that for all the family dinners and I'm not one to ever discuss politics from on the outside but last year for some reason one of my siblings asked his conservative sister needs thirty to the left how I felt about Obama so I said well of course I did like a and I was told it's because of his race it was like it was uncontrollable I don't I'm not a racist you know it's not about soccer and it just came out of his mouth like I did reach so it is a disease some million disease so I went on a Twitter and I don't say disparaging remarks on devout Catholic and that's another thing I just voice my opinion about the Democrats myself when they need to realize they are the party of they were the party of the KKK well for some reason one of my family members you not even on Twitter read those remarks everything factual and now I'm ousted because I don't like the Clinton and I don't like Obama and not like I left the party twenty years ago because I like it and now the attacks and I swear again that's it's gonna be eight I used to laugh at turn derangement syndrome but what is happening these are my liberal siblings and they they have a Christmas dinner yesterday or the day before and you were not invited well I knew I wasn't going to be because thanksgiving selves thanksgiving you were not invited right first time ever in my entire life I was not invited and one of my younger siblings told because of political differences you know what I think we need to for unlike the four with organization of dis invited relatives so they could all have dinners together next year I'm not joking that I mean I'm not gonna do it because I don't have the time but I would love to make that possible all the this invited trump supporting people labeled by their liberal or a lot and left this case unfortunately liberals joined him relatives as fascist as racist if you don't like Obama as president your races that we said the whole eight years is a major protective shield.

"The other one. The recovery coach work woke us. All that in Amazonas. Well so that on you on your website that look block a really important document you got going on there as well that what is the first ever of its kind in. Its Four. The coaches to give their clients. So it's forty by exercises for somebody to go from. I'm just getting sober to. How do I figure out my purpose in life my passion? How do I get rid of the people in my life? That are non-productive ebb and go that direction. So that's kind of kind of what we use in the school I don't think you've seen this one. This launches this week and you see this one principles to tap into the wealth and sort of you know. I didn't say that one I didn't come across that a ha so this comes out this week. It's the seven key principles to tap into the wealth inside you and it's all about what's the next step in light creating purpose and passion finding ending a roadmap jumping just doing it and getting rid of your limiting belief system because when I work with people in Addiction. I'm not treating their addiction. I'm treating the record ause which is usually I don't know who I am. I don't know which direction I'm going and I'm holding onto these limiting beliefs from childhood that I was told I can't do something therefore it's easier for me to do drugs in nome out and actually have to go out there and get that stuff done and I started doing stuff with my clients and coaching. And then I decided I'm going to put it doesn't book because this is so helpful for people to get past. Whatever you're stuck on so this one comes out this week does it help reinforce you methodologies as you write them down it must because you force to kind of luck all over the shock with this particular point five different ways of delivering? Then you've got to get really super distinct when you put it into the Boucaud. Unique thing is this is exactly the process go through with my clients every client that comes to me with addiction. The first thing I asked them as argue happy and the answer. There's always no then I say why aren't you happy. And it's one of many things it's either I hate my life. I hate that I married with kids and I hate my job or I don't know what I'm supposed to be doing. You know. My Dad told me to be an accountant and I'm going to count it and I'm thirty five and I don't want to be an accountant. I want to be an artist great. Let's become an artist and they look at me like how is that going to get me off the drugs that I say you get up in the morning and you go. I WANNA be artist. You're not gonNA use drugs because you're excited right if you wake up until I gotta go to work today. It's only two o'clock and I still have three more hours. You're going to continue to use drugs. 'cause you hate your life so when I come in and I get to the bottom of it and I say let's fix the bottom of it. The root cause a wire behaving this way. and We'd do that. It's amazing the transformation that happens a lot of love it will. We're going to have to get those links into the show not for you as well. So what the code again for the People Listening Dan new book is the seven key principles to tap into the wealth inside. You and that'll be out on Amazon and I married. A junkie is already out there so they can pop on and get that while someone. If you're listening to this just take a little picky phone and right there in the show notes. You're going to be the links to Kelly's lays out lengthy and Amazon there as well and if you watch it on Youtube skull down they'll be right there by the time this is out and live. Those things will be outlawed as well. So we're all good Eliana Eliana as we come to the end of the podcast and with nudging up against an ally I wanted to put you into the pod. CAST goal in hot seat. You Ready. I'm ready a couple of random looking forward to this. This is nothing too serious. It's just completely random and I love to ask these questions especially from people that are not ozzy's that from different parts of the World Joanie the first one I've got his. What's the what's your favorite holiday destination? That's top want my favorite place to go is Laguna Beach California orange. Just because it's like my manifesting spot and I like to watch the sunset on the water and I'm in Miami's we have sunrise. That'll be my favorite one of all the places racism Watching the sunset over the water. Same here in Sydney because we're east coast. We see the sun rise. We don't see the sunset and in summertime when the weather calms down a little bit I get Outta my paddle board out the front here on the buy in our paddle paddle leap two clicks out J. Columba's that and I can see it on my paddle board and watch the sunset as well is because there's nobody out there the only reason you'd be out there was if you're on a boat and sometimes just heaps of boats out there but a conceit out there my pot Obama self and just watch the sunset and paddle back in at toilets not that far. It sounds like a long way but it's not far enough out of wood and it's just not watching the sunset over the would allow that up right very cool. Nassir it also annexed one. What's I what's a skill that you haven't yet? Monsters paddle boarding would be one of them serving. I think the become an emmy for heaven's sake. There's no excuse with yoga training the water here. The only time I wanna go is a January because it's not blazing hot and then the water's too cold. So it's like and then I have a fear sharks drowning so we put all that in there. I'm like you know what I'll watch. y'All paddleboard from the remnant. But that would be on on my. I need to master this. I need to at least do it for that. The fear of dying. Yeah that's a good thing of out here on the on the by hearing Cornell aware live this many shocks doc says jocks all the time. If you how many shots were in the water you'd never go in the water at the beach. It was like crazy and some weird things happen when you're out on the water by yourself especially like in the biggest swells sometimes swells a so big. You can't see where the land is when you're in the in the dip of the wife and there's been a couple love times over the years sort of looked down in the water and on kind of digital self. There's no one to say. How did you see that of look down in the water and gone? It's a penguin fairy. Penguins swim around fishing from the national. But I'm by myself and I tell people penguins out. What are you talking about idiots the penguins in Sydney and every now? And then you see some jocks and you see wiles and dolphins will. Let's arm which is really cool. The Future of Gaming

"For high school athletes. Getting scouted to play on a big league. Sports team is the dream they hope. Someday Day recruiters will be standing on the sidelines watching during practice or come to their games and sign them up for college teams or even sometimes professional ones. That happened a sixteen year old. Kyle gears door. He goes by the nickname Boga but the recruiting process was a bit different gears. Off wasn't out on a field field joe he was in his parents house in Pottstown Pennsylvania sitting in front of his computer playing the video game Gabe fortnight streaming his games almost daily for Amazon's twitch a website for gamers and. That's where a scout for an eastwards team called the sentinel saw in play. He signed a one year contract with the Sentinel's back in March and that paid off for gear store and the sentinels almost immediately. Yup Right here. This was in July at the Arthur. Ashe Stadium in flushing New York. That's the same stadium where tennis is players compete in the. US Open gear stuff. was there on the field for the first fortnight World Cup and it was a spectacle spread of players across the screen. There's your talk ten on the left side. The top players in the world sat on the field behind computer monitors side by side playing against each other in the virtual game which was is then projected onto multiple matrons for thousands of fans and stands bogus parents in the audience of course as well cheering him on and they weren't the only ones fortnight has about two hundred fifty million registered users and more than a million of them or streaming the World Cup Competition Jim Champion and the prize. Money was worth a lot. The three million dollars of that gears dorm took home about two point. Four million the sentinels got to keep the rest according to people familiar with the matter but even so boga and other eastport competitors like him are living. The teenage dream getting paid to play video games epic the company that makes fortnight. Isn't the only game in town. activision blizzard and take two interactive software have launched professional professional leagues around their games. Electronic Arts has a fee e World Cup a video game version of the soccer World Cup with thirty two players competing in multiple apple rounds until one country player comes out on top revenue from EA. Sports is expected to climb around twenty six percent this year to reach about one point. Two billion dollars hours while at the fast growing need it's still just a small part of the global video game. Industry is estimated to be worth one hundred fifty billion from the Wall Street Journal. This is the future of everything. I'm Qatari Yokum. This episode is part three of our highlights series where we bring you the best from the Wall Street. Journal's Tech Live Conference in Laguna Beach California for Three Days Wall Street Journal editors gathered alongside leaders in the tech community to discuss everything from the future of artificial intelligence to data privacy today. We're focusing on the future of games. Hi Jason Gay. And I'm a sports columnist for the Wall Wall Street Journal. I'm speaking Andrew Wilson the CEO of electronic arts electronic arts or EA as a global leader in the gaming world world especially in sports games. They're the ones who make madden NFL. Fica need for speed apex and of course the Sims the company has more than three hundred million registered players around the world and last year two thousand eighteen to posted a net revenue of five point. One five billion in dollars Andrew spoke to us about how e sports mobile gaming on social networks and mixed reality Games are changing the way people play and also also starts on the industry overall. I want to ask you right at the top. What you were excited about right now like what is happening in your trade? It might be something you are doing but it might be something somebody else's do what is getting you excited right now in gaming if you think about how cloud is going to change the consume everything right so we watch more TV and more music and we listen to music and AL belief is that we're actually started out a blue the lines between real and virtual with the cloud. So you get to place where you get up in the morning and every activity you perform through the day has has some kind of payoff out of a game. You might run to work. It means you have more energy and fee for. You might have a dozen eggs in the fridge. Which means you're sims a fed? You might drive fast. So you'll need speed game is better. You may interact with a whole Gotcha people so you have more power in. PG So this blurring of the lines between the real and the virtual kind of moving getting from a discrete experienced went industry experience. So are there applications locations for businesses to actually game by the workplace people showing up for the nine thirty meeting on time. I think that's happening already. We see that in schooling to where we use game fixations a lot of schooling education is becoming more compelling for a new generation so inevitably it happens in our workplace. That's for sure. Do you think that people can burn out on it or do you think that that is something that will stay the idea that people want that kind of competitive metabolism where they gamified experience social interaction and competition competition at two of the most powerful motives of human behavior that positive so guilt obligation addiction causes as human beings. Do all kinds of things until such point in time is actually actually. This is just really bad and we kick the habit cold Turkey and then we tell all of our friends not to do it as well but social direction and competition the two things that we don't we don't get tired of it kind of drives us throughout our lives and so really the very core of gaming these to call positive motivators of human behavior and provided you do it right and you build over time and and you get the rewards and benefits of those two things that it's not something you boone out on. It's actually something that enriches and extends it enhances your life. What's an example of something that you've experimented with yourself that that you've been surprised? It's been a very sort of exciting satisfying gaming experience candy crush. Who would've thought like doing this and doing this? I mean here. We are five five you six years later and we're still doing it. Yeah Yeah it's a good segue to the next question. which is that? I think of gaming as a business where every now and again there are true phenomenon that just crossed the culture. And what is it like. And you've had some of them. What's that like to have a game? That isn't just a business success but just sort of vaults into the cultural conversation station I think every day you up to build entertainment. You hope is that you're going to detain you. Know tens or hundreds of millions of people I mean as as the providers and creative at a time and I think that's all of our objective when we get up in the morning every now and then it actually happens and all kinds of good things come from that no kinds of challenges come from that. We had a game earlier this year. Old Apex Legends. We brought fifty million people into that game in a month. And that's that's a wonderful thing. I mean that's mind blowing and we we're running around the office cheering. How compelling this game and then all of a sudden you discover there are all kinds of negative manifestations of of that kind of broad appeal cheetahs in in the spice and you get people trying to counterfeit currency in spice and you get bullies in the spice? And then all of these kind of negative manifestations of human behavior that we see in the real world quite frankly also manifest that skyline a will that has this many eight people interacting with it and so there's a whole nother victor of work that we have to do to keep that that experience fun and safe and enjoyable for the people who play. How do you see around corners to predict predict and anticipate? What kinds of Shenanigans might happen at a game or been doing it alone time here? We spent a lot of time thinking about if we were bad bad people. What would we try? And do we go out and hire some bad people to see an awesome. What would they do that works? And then the other thing is is we've written a whole program. Set that that really looks at by human behavior over. Tom's human compensation over time and we're getting better and better through machine learning at predicting where positive energy cartoons on itunes negative or

"So like an anonymous forum for military wives. Yes. And basically was called anonymous secrets, and what it's open to is everyone who is holding something. I got because psychologically, I've seen it in action and I it actually does work. But it's something that someone held onto for so many years doing it for thirty years, I can say I've seen it. I've heard it. It's it's out there. When people just need to let go of it so secret can be anything, right? Oh, yeah. What why do you think that there's a need for an anonymous forum for military wives? I mean, we have there the military has programs for our statistics are, are really high for sexual assault. Suicide, anyone can read them in the paper, any time and see them on the news, but they need some I think it's always it seems to be helpful to give them something else they need an outlet. They need maybe just something to somebody to talk to, or somebody just to say this is what happened to me and. And they write it down. And they just and they just ship it or they, they ship it to you. There is not for military specific. But there is a site called post secret dot com. Exactly. Yes, where so you're familiar with it. It's all done on postcards. Yes. Exactly. Exactly where I saw it these so successful in simply because if you wanna be anonymous on the internet, Nancy, you can't. No, that's true. There's really no way for you to put something on and not have it directly tied directly back to you because. Yeah, I mean because I p numbers and servers and mail. And, you know, and I don't think it's been be incredibly difficult to set that up like that post secret dot com website because this guy's in Laguna Beach, California. You mail him a postcard..

"Joe walsh. Back with you. Thank you so much for listening. Follow me on Twitter at Walsh freedom. I don't know if you caught this story out of Laguna Beach, California. It's it's just a great story. The police in Laguna Beach, California had American flag USA themed American flags and decals on their patrol vehicles. Their squad cars. Really proud of it. Well, wouldn't you know in America today, a bunch of residents of Laguna Beach, California thought that that was too much that having the police in Laguna Beach, California with American flags on their squad cars that might be kind of divisive. Another resident said it might be a little too in your face. It might not be welcoming enough. Laguna Beach, California. The American flag decal of the American flag on a squad car and a bunch of residents in Laguna beach complained about him, and it got to the point where last night the city council of Laguna beach had to actually vote on whether they should keep the America. An American flag sticker on their squad. Cars. Now. That's kind of a Downer. That's that's pretty depressing. That people would be bothered by this. But it's fits with with the discussion we just had a minute ago. Who how can you live in a country where the American flag is threatening? How can you? How can anybody in this country? Think that that symbol that that flag on a police squad car is unwelcoming and divisive. Well, you would feel that way. If you really didn't feel American you'd feel that way, if you weren't really assimilated into this country. And legal illegal. Claiming the Silom whatever you wanna say migrants detainees every day we month in year this country fills up more with people who do not feel American and who do not assimilate into this country. And so they are in fact, and look at Laguna beach a bunch of them feel threatened by American flags on squad cars, well, the Laguna beach city council to in a packed city hall meeting last night. Voted to voted four to one. I believe to reinstate and keep the American flag sticker on the squad cars, so this should give you a little bit of hope. Beat because even though a bunch of people said take down the American flag. And so politically correct America the politicians need to get involved in the and even if one two or three people raise a complaint, it's gotta be politicians deal. And so they had to have a vote on it. But. A full capacity room in Laguna Beach, California last night and overwhelming neatly the people in that city council meeting spoke, in fact, one hundred people spoke, and the reports are that only out of the hundred people at spoke at the city council meeting only one person spoke in opposition to the American flag on the squad cars. And by the way, good for him. I mean to have the courage to be the only one, but overwhelmingly person person stood up and said this is America. I guess a few people stood up and began to sing the star spangled banner. Somebody took their thirty seconds to minute to sing. God bless America. A marine who lives in Laguna beach. California said my first impression when I saw these American flag decals on the squad cars, my first impression was hell. Yeah. I love it. The American flag represents freedom. Liberty and equality to the residents of our town who've been offended by the American flag. I have a message for you leave this country as soon as possible that may be harsh. But he got the message the bottom line is this story has a happy ending even in Laguna Beach, California, the good people of Laguna Beach, California last night voted to keep the American flag decals that the police men and women themselves wanted on squad cars, and the Beach California did the right thing. Let me go to Carl Carl you're on with Joe. A little bit. That Americans thing upset because they can't read English flag..

"Clark reaches moment. There's been a crime that has gone on for a while specifically targeting the elderly, and it's called the grandparents scam where criminals, call someone and based on social media. They may well know, the names and ages of your grandchildren. And they tell you that your grandchild's been in Iraq or your grandchild's in jail or they pretend they're from the hospital or their lawyer or whatever and that they need money wired right away for the care of or for the legal problems of a grandchild. And this one has been around for a while. But it's Morphing into wet snow now is the virtual kidnapping scam targeting specifically wealthy people, and I saw story in the Los Angeles Times about how people in one of the wealthiest communities in the United States, Laguna Beach, California are specifically being targeted the criminals. Coming up with pretty sophisticated efforts where they know the family tree, they know the family members, and they're gathering all the information from what is posted online about your family. So then they will contact you. And they know the name of your kid. They know hold your kid is and your kids in trouble, and they have the whole back story developed, and unfortunately parents in a panic are immediately sending money to the crooks who are making up this whole tall tale. And so what you need to know. And remember your kids may be on. If you're from a wealthy family. They may be on a trip somewhere outside the United States and the criminals take advantage of the pictures posted and all the rest as a family, make sure the you know, how to stay in touch with each other. And you think twice three four times. And do everything you can verify independently that your child is in fact in trouble before you respond emotionally out of parents love and wire money that turns out to be going to a crook. WSJ Tech D.Live: How Should Tech Firms Be Regulated?

"The. With a special edition of tech news briefing. I'm Charlie Turner in New York for the Wall Street Journal technology, firms are facing increased scrutiny over the role. They play in elections, the dissemination of false or biased news and consumer data breaches, but to what extent should tech firms, especially social media companies be regulated at the Wall Street Journal's de live tech conference and Laguna Beach, California industry officials and politicians weighed in with various suggestions democratic u s Representative row Cana of California said any regulation. That's an acted has to be smart as Tim coke putted. We need well-crafted regulation of and it's not regulation for regulation saying let me give you a couple examples of things that I think actually could get bipartisan support, and this of privacy groups, and technology leaders, for example, I think people should have a right to be notified when there's a data breach. It's ridiculous. If you have months and months, go by and people aren't notified you have access. Now to your health records have access to your financial records, probably should have access to know what's happening to your data. You should have some portability which would increase competition if you could take data from one platform to another, but what about possible legislation from states or congress with regard to overseeing the tech industry, AT and T CEO. Randal Stevenson, said don't leave it up to the states. I don't think Washington right now could agree on the freezing temperature a water. But if there were ever an issue that you would think could get bipartisan coalescence, this is one. I mean, we got we had a mess coming at us literally states independently going out and designing their own privacy regulation, you'd people running companies out there trying to think about how you do business newspapers. How do you do business in a world where you have fifty different regulations legislation and rules around privacy? There are a number of states that are now passing their own legislation around. Privacy, and by the way, net neutrality, and what would be a total disaster for the technology and innovation that, you see happening in Silicon Valley and elsewhere is to pick our head up and have fifty different sets rules for companies trying to operate in the United States. So this is where legislation I think is critical pass a body of legislation around customer data protection that shouldn't be that difficult to pull together. Honestly, don't believe Darrell Issa US Republican Representative from California sounded an optimistic note about possible. Regulation from the incoming congress little regulation will occur. We'll be more thoughtful simply because you have highly divided government after this last election, and it tends to mean that the new guys in town in the house are going to be demanding all kinds of things and they're going to walk into. Okay. You'd better demand. Something we were already interested in or you're not gonna get it on the other hand. Steve bomber former Microsoft CEO. And now the owner of the NBA's LA clippers said regulation was preferable to help. The tech industry and not legislation. I happen to think it's a whole lot better to engage with regulators than it is to leave things to legislative action. A lot of discussion in the ecosystem always be we need laws. We need legislation that in every way is probably the worst thing for everybody. Because the regulators can have a real thoughtful discussion about what the technology permits doesn't permit. The legislators never going to do that regulation in the hands of the FTC. Yeah, I get that. Or the DOJ? I get that the differences. Those are people who can put staff on to really understand the details. And those are some thoughts about regulation from the WSJ tech de live conference when we come back. Steve bomber talks about what businesses can learn from sports teams. This is tech news briefing. From the Wall Street Journal, this podcast is brought to you by Harvard Business School executive education is your family office position for growth and success gain best practices in. Family wealth management at the new program building legacy, family, office wealth management. Learn more at H B, S dot ME slash legacy. At the Wall Street Journal de live tech conference. Steve bomber owner of the NBA's, Los Angeles, Clippers and former Microsoft CEO was asked what the similarities and differences were between a company like Microsoft and entertainment franchise like the clippers bomber said. It's all about accountability and winning. Yes, we are in entertainment company, and that's very important thing for me to remember, I tend to think of as a basketball team and yet from a business perspective, we are in entertainment entertainment product. Now, what is the best way to sell tickets? We've done all the statistical analysis. It turns out winning championships is the best way to make your business better. God, it's just like real business. It's all about the product stupid. And frankly, if you win championships got he'll know this. They're still selling a lot of tickets in Chicago years after this guy won a bunch of championships there. So winning the only other thing. Actually that helps you signing superstar having the first pick in the draft. But the best thing is to championships. And so that is what we focus in on. Now, if you think about it, what does that mean, it points to accountability business, you know, people we run around. I we're so we got the quarter getting after the next one. You know, we're marketshare were held accountable. You want accountability? Sports after every game win loose. Sorry. Can't fix it. Next quarter, gone. It's gone. Teamwork. How's your team working your business? How's your team more? Teamwork. Twenty every twenty four seconds. Everybody knows our team work is every twenty four seconds. You can see it. You have to be accountable for it. You think you have customers and shareholders that assess you, yeah, they do, but they're casual casual compared to the millions of fans who are sitting there studying every move who have access to all the perform. Silence data that you do. There's not one piece of information are fans can't see that. We can see that's not true in businesses. So I find a level of count ability frightfully more powerful than I did when I was a CEO that's LA clippers owner Steve bomber on what businesses can learn from sports teams. And that's a special edition of tech news briefing. I'm Charlie Turner in New York for the Wall Street Journal.
