"The World Cup this summer. So what do you think this means for Julia's chances of making the World Cup squad? She's in. I don't think she does this. I don't think blacko goes to the process of bringing a player who's not played in over 611 days. Back into the fold, a newly newly minted mother, a player of that importance. I don't think he goes through all that. She goes through all that if there's any realistic possibility for being on the squad. She's on the squad. More than sign it up. And especially now that it's only a one year deal with angel city FC, it gives me strong vibes that this could be a one and done. I swung song, if you will, like what more can Juilliard do at the international stage or football in general? She wants to go out on top. It's a situation where now we're here in April, she'll have a bit of time before the summer tournament kicks off. Can she show? I don't think she needs to show that she's a 100% because clearly will value her 60 to 80% over somebody else's 100. Yeah, I don't think that she's playing for a spot with these minutes with angel city, right? It seems like she's playing for her fitness to maybe fight for a starting spot, but I think her spot on the team to your point is pretty secure there. I think it's interesting, right? Because they got a lot of games. At first I was like, well, is there going to be enough time for her, but when you factor in challenge cup as well, there's 16 games between now and the World Cup break for angel city. So that's a lot of potential run for Juilliard. So there is at least some time. And angel city neater, just one win from three so far in NWSL play. Let's check out the highlights from the weekend that was actually start with

"Difficult for me to say alarm because they've been flying for the majority of this season, but let me give you a cause for alarm if you're a monterrey fan now. That's two straight games that you've lost. One versus Google America when you're thoroughly outplayed, even if you missed that penalty kick. Say it again. Well, but you don't have to. I mean, you don't have to outplay the team to win. We just talked about the galaxy against LAFC. LAFC just put the ball in the back of the net. They won. When you look at Monterey, Monterey is coming off. Losing to a team like Santos and Santos is not one much in Monterey in Santos has been struggling this season. They now go on face mass at the line who is kind of a weird team to play. They'll be playing in masato, which makes it worse without Roja for his body they're leading goal scorer who was red carded one of those red cars you mentioned in this game and you'll end the season by facing at home a new puma squad, which has scored 6 goals in two games, three each game, and got some surprising results and will be playing for their playoff lives the last game of the season. So there is a bit of cause for alarm here in the way things are trending. Remember a couple seasons ago when America had their historic regular season. I think 35 points finished 5 or 6 points clear of everybody in the league. I'm getting similar vibes to that team from this radar. So if you remember that glue on America team, they went their last couple of games of the regular season without a win. And then they got to the quarterfinals against pumas and went out and it was a huge fracasso. I'm interested to see what happens in these last two games 'cause it's a pretty low bar for rayados. With all due respect, if I also struggle against those two, then it's definitely cause for alarm heading in to ligia. You told me if you get first or second, then make it to the final. Now you're telling me they lost the pumas in the quarters. But nothing, go. Let's take a look at the legal Mac is table. Four points ahead of America. Round out your top four teams. Remember, 5 through 12 into the. NWSL news Julia has got a club home. It's angel city. Remember they acquired the rights to our way back in December of 2021 in a trade with the Chicago red stars. She signs a one year deal with angel city, expected to join the team in training this week and could be available as early as Sunday. For the game against San Diego, herc, of course, all of this is with an eye towards

"Faced a ten man crusade and came back from behind and beat them. Yes. Okay. Just making sure. Yes. Okay. All right, let's move to another game, because that was Saturday night. What about Sunday Night, huh? Santos, and this game calls for a borderline red for this play in the first half. Luis got it in us. Ray all those goalie gets absolutely crushed by Diego Medina. Now herc. Not a red card. Not a yellow card, nothing for this. And got it in that state in the game, at least till half. Yeah, Luis Carlos has the backup goalkeeper playing this game takes one off the temple. You can see that right there and then the knee off the nose just terrible collision. Should have been a red card, right? And I'm not just saying that because I was very invested in rados minus one against Santos. No, it's a very dangerous play. I mean, I'm surprised. And you're the era of VAR, but that's just, that's just putting the health of your opponent in danger right there. Yeah. Yeah. After the game was pretty upset about it. What's crazy hurt is that there was two red cards in the first half, but this was not one of them. So just madness for me and I can't see how VAR didn't get a look at it. When you clearly had a couple instances in that replay, where you see one, the cleat hit here, and then the shin go through the head. I mean, that's crazy. Two different red cards there. For one for the cleat to the head and the second one for the knee to the face. And I don't know what's more worrisome. The fact that they missed the call or the concussion protocol, it looked like a half hearted DUI roadside test that they have caught us and they let him stay in the game until the half one obviously they had. To make the switch. I mean different from what you see. Are there places of an independent Doctor Who come down to determine whether he's good to go in league and make the team doctor and if you can convince them? Okay, so this, by the way, the second straight defeat for reals here, herc. Of course, as I just mentioned, they lost last week to a very good global America. Is it time for calm or alarm for our friends in monterrey? Listen, it's very difficult for me to say alarm because they've been flying for the majority of this season, but let me give you a cause for alarm if you're a monterrey fan now.

"Him, his ability to set others up. That ball that was 50 yards was ridiculous. Something we've not seen from him or a player in his position for quite some time to get in position of now a top four finish. And with 6 points to play, two games to go, be able to tie a Matthias almeida record, bonovitch. It was just a banner weekend for the chibas fan in general. Yes. Who had a more surprising weekend? Chivas. Who had a better weekend America. Okay? But that doesn't have anything to do with who actually had the better weekend. It has to do herc. Why they have a better weekend. Well, because they beat grosso by 10 million people. They beat a rival. They came from behind. They did it without a manager. They maintained the momentum that they picked up by beating rayados and they proved her that their damn near unbeatable. All right, we're 15 games into a 15 season. Loss. One loss. And if you finish in the top two and you can't be beaten, you're going to the final. That's how the year works. Right now, huh? I think I made a flying right now, and that's back to back wins against good teams. If that's how the year works, what happened with Santiago solari and what happened with what happened with you get to the final, you get to the final. That doesn't mean you win the league. But if you're a top two team, you get into the final. You don't even need to win. Santa said you didn't get to the final. He was outed by pachuca, don't you remember that? What I'm telling you are listen to me, please listen to me. Don't listen to what's ricocheting around your head. I'm saying, if they finish in the top two, which right now it appears to be a lock that they're going to. And they don't even have to win in ligia. They'll coast to the final. That's America. And they don't lose her. They got one Lawson 15. One. Well, you're moving the gun. By far the fewest by far the fewest in the league. Okay, I'm just trying to get this straight. It's a shocker. I don't know why it's a shock, but the shock of that you chose America out of these two as the team had the better we can, but you're telling me, rolled their rivals. It's a better weekend because they faced a ten man crusade and came back from behind and beat them. Yes. Okay. Just making sure. Yes. Okay. FX is dear mama premieres April 21st on FX stream on Hulu. Leon on Saturday night. This one a huge game. As far as the top four go, scoreless at the half, 59th. Makes it one other thing chivas. Yeah. But this ball from Alex, he's Vega cheese. Give me a break, ridiculous, 50 yard ball, and then Alexis Vega again is also Gonzalez. One V one right there? We'll make it two zero for chivas. Gonzales in the 73rd gives chivas a cushion. They get back to back wins. Now up to fourth in the table Leon fall. The 5th also Saturday, soul for Mexico City bragging rights, 12 minutes in uriel and tuna off the bad mistake from pi dago. The terrible mistake there. He's put in a compromise position facing his own goal and then uriel and duna just takes advantage of that. But then look, send that with the first right there, quick release. It's a very good reception, quick release. One zero or one one, excuse me. Magical left foot, as tying the game just before the half Michael Estrada sent off in first half stoppage time, early in the second half. Picks this corner and even through that mask you saw it and then look at this. Ridiculous reception and finish. One of the best goals you're going to see all year, I don't care what league you're in. Beverly Collins scores this goal and it's going making waves all around the world. It was a ridiculous reception right there. Well, we see it in the top ten. In the 63rd minute, the clincher, as America comes back to win by a final score of three to one. So her bus, America, age, old rivals, who do you think had the better weekend? Chibas.

"Not to associate themselves with that. Major League Soccer chose 6 games. It's a Red Bulls as an organization, but we can tell have accepted just a 6 games. This means much more to the fan base than it does to the league than it does to this actual team. Zero tolerance means zero tall, especially in an era in an age where our sport is racism is especially prevalent in our sport. You saw it in the arsenal game this weekend when they drop points against West Ham. And the racial abuse he got afterwards. It's nonstop and it very quick to point it out, but when you can actually do something, you've not done it. And that's disheartening. Yeah. So now we have the two biggest markets New York and Los Angeles where we're seeing supporters, groups, protesting, and it's having an impact, right? We mentioned it in the el trafico discussion. You can see not just the video that we just showed you, but if you see pictures of the south end of that stadium, I mean, that's where you usually see the New York Red Bulls fans. They were nowhere to be found. That's got to be killer, not just for the product, and all that hurt, but for the players. You know, for the players who most, most of whom are not Dante van zer, they're not Gerhard Stewart. They don't, they don't deserve to kind of bear the fans wrath, and yet they're the ones that are going to end up paying for it. To your point about the pressure here, at least we are seeing something that for a long time, we said we didn't see in this league, which was fan pressure leading to actual pressure on management. Yeah. We see it in Los Angeles. We see it in New York. Those are big markets. The fans are starting to have an impact. I don't say we're not seeing heads roll yet, but the pressure is real. And then I applaud the fans for that. If I just made piggyback on what you said about the players having to answer for that, that's the unfair thing here is like, Greg vanny actually think is a good coach and he's the one who's kind of bearing that cross or the organization and in the end probably coming out looking worse. So it's one of those things that's unfortunate for the personnel involved. All right, so the New York Red Bulls there finishing up with

"The promo to this game. You'd see a segment on SportsCenter, whatever the case may be, there was just more buzz surrounding it. I really felt it difficult or found it difficult, I should say, that most people didn't even know this game was happening. Now that's not because I think this rivalry is any less than they'll traffic go. It's not because I don't think they have players worth following narratives history. It's just, don't feel it was promoted and say what you will about that. I feel like this is an episode of sounders TV and we're trying to bury the headline, which is no. Seattle one four one. Portland one. Poorly. Seattle lost four one and we're trying to bury that by saying that nobody watched it. No. Nobody knew about it. No. Here's the difference between our tropico and cascading this rivalry game versus Portland Seattle is there are certain things in el tropical. LAFC's never won. In Carson, you know, Carlos got us so many goals. There's this Portland Seattle game. It doesn't matter where you play. It doesn't matter where the game's at, who's on the field. It delivers. There's always something crazy that happens. You wait team wins by 5, or whatever there's always something crazy. So that's not the case here. Seattle lost and it should have been a victory that put them clearly into supporter shields standings as first place. The game changed in a span of 5 minutes. And then it's just one after the other after the other and they dropped four on them. Yeah. I do feel like el trafico is stealing a little bit of this rivalry's thunder on the national scale. You know, we have had just, when it comes to the traffic, you're pretty much guaranteed that it's going to be a great game. I know we've had some great games between timbers and sounders, but it's a guarantee. It's a guarantee you're going to get a great game when LAFC and the LA galaxy. Let me ask you. And the other thing that's important here is the point that you mentioned before, which is one game was on Sunday. The other one was smashed together with everything else on Saturday night. When you stand alone, it's a lot easier to feel like there's buzz herc. And you gotta remember you live in Los Angeles. In Seattle, you probably would have felt the buzz. Let me ask you a question. If you don't live in those regions, okay? And if you don't go specifically to the season pass app, how would you know this game exists? That's a bigger, that's a bigger question about the league. If there's national interest as part of the situation is what I'm telling you, one of your marquee marquee games and few people knew about it. Right. Right. It's also too much smaller markets than two LA teams, right? Right there, you've got in the biggest media market that don't hurt. I don't hurt for buzz. I mean, you're the one in Los Angeles. Telling us that get cascadia cup has lost its buzz. You are the words of Hercules Gomez. Here on football America. In case you missed it, herc. In case you missed it this

"On the field, I thought the galaxy for long stretches this game were doing their part. Listen, the galaxy midfield, that trio of brookman Delgado, Ricky pooch. I put that tree up against any trio in Major League Soccer, a reality. They might see Fuentes, calling the Costa and lie Sanchez. No, they didn't do anything in that game. But this is just isn't a deep team. This is in the same galaxy of old. And the fans fed off that after about the third goal, after I would say the second goal, there was a nervous tension in the crowd and you could feel that. And that's when LAFC fans who are very good fans, but just and this isn't something that said you would understand this and leave out my keys, remove the fans, the colors, close your eyes, you won't be able to tell which team which fan base is from what team they're very similar in the chance, a very similar and the songs are very similar in those things. So from that aspect, it was still a good atmosphere. Yeah. It really came through on TV, you know, it really came through on TV. You were like, hey, this sounds like I'm watching, what do they call it? It's BMO now. It used to be the bank. This sounds like the bank. It sounds like, you know, an LAFC home game. It doesn't sound like Carson. And that was really noticeable, especially when we talk about the history and Carson, right? With LAFC never having been able to win there. This certainly felt kind of like a big moment in the rivalry. I have to say that. Sold it out, Seth. I sold it out. And I told you eventually I told you LAFC would eventually go into Carson and win. Only thing is look. I needed that parlay to hit. Speaking of rivalries, we had another great rivalry in the Pacific Northwest. First Saturday in Portland, it was the cascadia cup, timbers, and Seattle. This one finished four one to Portland, crazy game.

"Here. That was kind of a bummer. Yeah. It goes from Carlos vela and this one. He scored twice a Ryan hollings head with a goal for LAFC. Galaxy with a banger from Tyler Boyd, marky Delgado got one back late as the galaxy fell by a goal at home. Afterwards, chicharito, despite the defeat, not quite ready to give LAFC their dude. Here's what he had to say. Hey Javier, you know, you mentioned earlier, if you're one of the best teams in the league, you know, this club has kind of struggled to give results together. I said, if you consider them one of the best things of the league, I didn't say they were the best ones. Just to clearly context, okay? Because you see, that's why sometimes I didn't say that. Sorry? In your opinion, yeah? Is the way that events man is 34 games. We have the same narrative in the last two years and then in the end, we qualify and play what we were the four seat and then they were even more scared that they were going to fight against us. In the past bit the Nashville, right? They prefer natural than us. So man, they are doing a very good job. They're doing a great things, but for us, yeah, it's a result job over here and with the pen on that and unfortunately we have in delivered both the price that is just the beginning. Not willing to budge. Should he get lost? He's been lost. This is the second game that he's played. He's had up until two weeks ago. Zero competitive games in the last 5 months. And he spends more time talking about the Mexican national team or the video games he's playing, than actually the problems at hand. And this is symptomatic to what's going on at the galaxy. Greg vanny would like people to know that he doesn't care, that the players don't care. What's going on with all this noise as he calls it. This once great organization now has fans who aren't happy at a decade's worth of failure that it's considered noise and Javier Hernandez wants you to see how it plays out because you say they're a good team. I'm not going to say they're a good team, even though their record says they're a good team. Even though they just beat us for the first time in history in our House, our fans Javier should say this. Our fans were so upset, so disgusted they'd rather not sit and watch against a team they hate like LAFC. The one game that every galaxy fan in LAFC fan looks forward to. Circles on their calendar. They would rather not show up. They would rather not support you. Because of what they've seen, so get lost, we're beyond that. And the problem here is the arrogance in this room, the arrogance not to accept that LAFC is no longer thinking about the galaxy. The LAFC team, they can care less about the galaxy and if they beat him for the first time. Sure, it's great. And see to run the list said, this is for the fans, but guess what they're thinking about. They're thinking about the concave Champions League trophy. Guess what they're thinking about that after that? MLS cup. That's what they're thinking about. They're not thinking about if chicharito and this thinks they're a good team or not. You've been in a rivalry. I'm not defending chicharito here, but you know, when you're in a rivalry game, is that what he's doing here just trying to be smart and not piss off the LA galaxy fans more by now. He didn't say I mean, if you were in his shoes, what would you have done? If I were in his shoes, this is the one thing I used to love about Javier Hernandez Javier was one of the most humble human beings that I have ever met. One of the greatest competitors when it comes to humility that I had played against. And the old Javier Hernandez would have apologized to the fans. Would have said what is happening now isn't good enough. Wouldn't have said, hey, in the end, we'll come in fourth like we did last time and they won't want to play us, but when we do play them, they'll still beat us. No, he would have had a little humility. That's the old Javier Hernandez that I knew the one who would have appropriately handled the situation. The crazy thing is, Seb, they didn't play bad. They actually dominated LAFC for long stretches at game. Carlos vela, here's the thing. Carlos vela had his worst game that I've seen from him in an LAFC uniform and still scored two goals. And an assist. The galaxy, the true galaxy today, it's a direct reflection of what you see with this LA of C two, they had Stipe Buick. They had a player who was a nominee for the golden boy in Europe, come off the bench. You look at the players, they had come off the bench bogus. He's a Polish international 21. You look at the players LAFC has the depth they have compared to the galaxy today, fraying out of it was your third sub and he's one of your highest earners. He played what three minutes? It's not adding up to fans. It's not adding up to the average pundit who studies this league and says, you know what? Why is this happening? What's going on here? That's why people are angry. That's why people are offended. And that's why you that's why Javier Hernandez needs

He's the one who's having everything being taken out on him for Tata martino's shortcomings. And this Mexican federation didn't do. So now he's the one under pressure. He may say he doesn't feel that way. He may say he's not playing for his job, but in this friendly, that's in Arizona. In a few days, if they don't convincingly win, if something happens where they lose, could you imagine the pressure that is going to be on the shoulders and on the hands of Diego Coke and the Mexican national team in Las Vegas for a semifinal game against the U.S. miss national team. I'm not even getting ahead of myself and talking Diego coca Copa or Diego coca gold cup he may not even get there, Seth. That's just a reality. Broken dishes for those that don't speak Spanish, yes. You're cleaning up somebody else's broken dishes. I think we always say this, right? That the expectations generally are too high around Mexican soccer. I think it especially though applies now, herc, right? Anybody who saw this team's performance at the World Cup is seen the issues with a lack of exportation of players and then has seen the competition has seen Canada come up out of pretty much nowhere. Has seen the United States overtake Mexico. When you see those realities, you have to scale back the expectations for Mexican soccer. But we know that's not the reality. It's a team that's growing and Qatar, who's an enigma, what Qatar are you going to get, the kataru came down last gold cup who won the Asian cup or the Qatar who faltered and was one of the worst if not, I'm sorry, the worst team at the World Cup. This team right here, this Mexico team could be a B team. I think this is a very difficult group for them. Yeah. I agree, it's pretty obvious why it's the only group that's filled out, so it makes it easy to pick Group B as the toughest. Qatar say what you will about them. It's a World Cup team. Good point about Haiti and violet. We've seen them have success in this tournament as well. And as you say, there's a lot of history there, and they have World Cup pedigree, recent World Cup pedigree, which whatever this generation is going through. That's still matters in concave because the region itself is not that deep. All that said, herk, I'm very confident that Mexico is going to get through this group. I think this is the toughest group. I don't know if it's the most unpredictable. For me, that would be group C because Central American group, yeah. Costa Rica, Panama, Salvador, I could see, I know Costa Rica is the top seed there. I could easily see them going out. It wouldn't surprise me at all. If they didn't make it. Pam, if you're going off the nation's league rankings right now, they're top dog. It's not Costa Rica. The contentious they travel with here in the states for these type of games, that's going to be very important. And Costa Rica, I spoke to Luis Fernando, their coach, and he's adamant. They don't have as many players abroad playing abroad, so they're not as good as people think they are. This is a wide open group. I could honestly see some surprises here. Yeah. Safe to say Canada and U.S. pretty happy with air draws? Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. I think Canada is very pleased with their draw. The U.S. will have to battle out with Jamaica for that top spot, but I think all three of the executives named are happy with the draw. All right, so we heard from a couple Concacaf managers. "Giving back, you don't go to the national team to get back. If he wants to give back, you'd be a coaching director somewhere. You'd be doing it at a grassroots level. I think he's where he's supposed to be at the moment. I think he's so much of a known commodity to many and I would ignorantly say, almost within U.S. soccer, you know? The average fan doesn't know who he is. I'm sure the average pundit has never seen his team's play. But you can't deny how he gets so much from so little. If you think the U.S. men's national team has so little, maybe that's the route to go. But if you think you have a pool with a huge upside, a massive ceiling and then you need to make strides with, I don't know if it would be the guy who convinces people right now. So what do you want from a national team manager? We talked about this after the World Cup when we were talking about who might take over the U.S. job, the Mexico job. And I think because so much of a national team's work comes down to tournaments, you need somebody who can get results. Well, where would the manager face more pressure in terms of getting results than a promotion campaign? We know it took Stuttgart up from Bundesliga two and trying to stave off relegation, which he did with Stuttgart last season. So we know when you absolutely need to get results, this guy can do it. We know he's versatile. Herc, right? He's done it as Stuttgart and now he's doing it at hoffenheim. I think they're 13th right now in a much better position than when he arrived. So I think his resume at first it was a little bit Stuttgart heavy. Now he's proving that he can do it in multiple places. And on top of that, herc, he's getting a tune out of John Brooks, who everybody on U.S. men's national team Twitter wants to see back into this pool. I think you could do a lot worse than Pellegrino matarazzo. I think you should at least consider him, if not for 2026, her, what he says in that interview, 2030 beyond that, when you think of American coaches who are working and having success in Europe, it's a very, very small. Let me ask you something, 'cause I know you're a big Pellegrino fan. You're gonna need him and he was nice to you and you're all about him now. Been on this show a few times. On the show a few times. Oh, I'm sorry you want to mention American managers that have done more in Europe. Oh, yeah. I'm about to. I'm about to. Yes, yes. Would you put his resume over Jesse marshes? Yeah. In terms of what he's accomplished? Yeah. I mean, where's Jesse marsh's big European success? He's huge. He's doing the same questions around. The only thing I think is a success to get stut out of the second division. That's a major success in Europe. It was a success to keep leads in promotion last season. You don't think it was a success. You don't think it was success to do with it. They move up the table. Against teams like Liverpool, that Liverpool, except I could turn this around many different ways. It's semantics. It's semantics. I think. Who's got the better resume right now? I go mad that so baby. When was the last time Jesse marsh was on football Americas, huh? All right, as we mentioned at the top of the show, the U.S. guy's not the only one scoring this weekend in Europe. No, a bunch of guys from at three scoring as well. So let's run it back.

"That a look at you taking shots? At every time. You head over there. I love that kid. Just started. Here on football Americas. All right, hurt. Which of the U.S. men's national team players that we just saw in run it back most needed their big performance on the weekend? Josh Sargent. I don't even think it's close. I mean, go back to last window, the nation's league window when everybody's talking. Flow, flow flow, float here, flow there. He's coming. Everybody forgot about Josh Sargent. And it Ricardo puppies back in the mix and Ricardo says, you know what? I'm tired about listening to about flow. I'm here too. You're concentrating on following ball again, and you're concentrating on Ricardo peppy. Josh Sargent sergeant, excuse me, will remind people that he's still here. He's still in my eyes. As of today, the player in this pool up top is the most talented. He's the most talented 9 for my money input. Before the World Cup, before the World Cup, he was on a tear, 8 goals. In Norwich, playing finally in a central position, scoring some goals, post World Cup. It's been something else. He has struggled, and then he got injured. So this was vital. This was important. This was a necessity to remind players to remind people to remind the coaches. I'm still here. All right, I didn't go with Josh sergeant. I went with Gio reyna, but on Josh sergeant's point, I think it's fair, right? 'cause it's the number 9 position. So it's maybe not the deepest in terms of quality, but in terms of guys who you legit feel like could get that job. It is the most competitive and it's the most important open position in the team. So anybody who scores sergeant Pepe that is going to help their stock, especially when I think the reality at that position, herc is when or if balagan commits, he immediately goes to number one on the depth chart, right? And everybody right now who's playing knows that's the reality. So you have this time before he commits to kind of put yourself at the top of the heap or at least in that conversation because once balin commits her, I think he's number one on the depth chart. And I think you're going to have a really tough time. Whoever the manager is, keeping him out of the starting lineup. Even if he hasn't played a single minute for the national team. I think it's illogical to think somebody's already written in if they've not ever played. But the sentiment, what you're saying is absolutely right. I think the majority of people and even the players feel that way. And hell, even for any valid and is going to feel that way if he's committing. That's just a reality of things. So I understand where you're coming from that. Since we're talking number 9, probably worth shouting out Daryl DK. Unfortunately, the Achilles injury playing for West Brom. He was a guy who was playing well. So unfortunately, he seems a little bit snake bit. The injuries just keep cropping up for him at the wrong time. For me, I thought when you said this is real obvious, it's not close. I thought you were gonna say Gio reyna, because we talk about giovanna Dortmund a lot. And of all the guys that we've discussed, the only one who's playing time mark is not guaranteed is Gio rain. In fact, the only guarantee right now for Gio reyna Dortmund is that his talent as much as you say it is and we all know it is, is not enough to get him on the field at that position. He's got to be more productive. So when he gets a goal, the first one for him since early February at a position and at a club where he is way down the depth chart, that's huge to me because we've already seen it, even his productivity earlier in this year didn't really lead to more playing time. I hope this goal leads to more playing time because still at the end of the day, I'm not convinced that dormant right now is the best place for Gio reyna. I mean, look at the best place when he signed, look at the best place the first few years, but the way things have gone post World Cup, you can make a real argument he needs to look elsewhere. Yeah. All right, so Georgia there with a goal, what would we say is 6th in league play for Borussia Dortmund? Let's keep it in the Bundesliga. Because the team that Dortmund is chasing atop the table had their own stumble. Buyer and drawing one one against hoffenheim. That's right, John Brooks went the full 90 playing in the middle of a back three. Andre came rich in the 71st minute there to make it one one. And

"Three three draw on Saturday Gio reyna off the bench in the 82nd minute and scoring in the 92nd hertz. Correct me or somebody please tell me if they've heard this before. Jill Reina in the 90 plus minutes for Dortmund to save him from something. A point or a win. I don't know what to say anymore about this kid. Ran a 6 league goals at that point looked like a win for thorman ends up. As a draw. Aerodynamic also on ESPN+ run again. In the thick of the relegation fight, they lost two to one, but Ricardo peppy scored. Gone again is in a bad place, relegation zone, but Ricardo Pepe is in a great place 11th of the season in the edit of ECA bigger and better surely coming. 11 goals in league, play to go along with three assists in league. With not one, but two goals of race and a mask on his face for Cuba America. Get him sort of? Get him. That's not sorrow. I'm sorry. That's Robin. It looks like Robin. That's not Robyn 'cause Robyn's number two. He's clearly the number one in this one life. It's a great catch and release. It's very quick, keeper never sees it coming, and then look at this. Great work by Henry Martin here, and it's easy as cool as collected as you'd like the second of the night in a classical el casi cohon. The second and third ligaments holes of this campaign for zendejas, his first since January in league play and Alejandro zener has actually made some history and look at that and elite company. Hercules Gomez, the last U.S. international with a multi goal game in Liga mech east DeMarcus. Beasley on that list as well. Magical stuff. So Marcus is on that list. I didn't know own goals counted. "America. And underway here on ESPN+ episode 239 of this. Program. Yep, coming to you on Monday, April 17th, two days, two days from the next edition of USA versus Mexico. What you got on out there on the West Coast. That's a nice kit. It's an old school kid was a 90s. I want to say late 90s Manchester united, it's a little something out with them, but you got there. It's a little L three. Is that who is that? Shout to them. I think this is supposed to be about what she meant is. I don't know. I don't know what it means today. Yes. Yeah, a steady, steady, steady. I think we've hammered him enough on this show. I don't think we're talking about Jimenez in this episode of football. He wasn't on the roster this weekend. Best daddy, daddy. We do have lots to get to. You were working quite a bit last week on Friday. You were actually at the gold cup draw in Los Angeles. You spoke with a variety of Concacaf mentors. So here's from some of those guys we will, of course, be reacting to us. Traffic, LAFC, LA galaxy. We have a stunner in Liga mecci with Rialto's falling at home and Juliet's appears to have a new team in the national women's soccer league. But we will start her with a run it back because not just U.S. men's national femurs. So they're going to lead the way. But our guys in general had a great weekend in Europe. We'll start in the championship, which you can watch on ESPN+. Josh sergeant scoring against

"Himself as a player full of confidence. And you know the. The line is very thin between being confident and cocky. I don't know if he's being more the ladders. Sadly but i believe he needed to get out of jesus and if second best option is playing forget that melita it is actually a great move because it's a fresh start is something that he always said. He was going to achieve playing at that level playing in the league by new less. I like the move now. If he's going to be successful if he's gonna play if he's one score a lot of goals that's a completely different conversation. Yeah i don't know that. I like it. I gotta be honest. I don't like the idea that alone i understand. There's some financial difficulties in spanish and really all of world football. I like for somebody to put the money down and buy them commit to him. Truly is not a great team out. They were like fifteen th last year. Four points away from the relegation zone. They're going to be a fight and if he's not scoring the managers not gonna stick with them. No manager in relegation fights going to do that. I worry and the other thing now is that they didn't score hardly last year. Now you might say that's a good thing because they clearly need goals but at least with the manager. There's some familiarity there. So maybe he gets the benefit of the doubt. I absolutely understand what you're seeing and one of the things you said not a great team. I personally i personally believe hamas has. It's not a fantastic striker. I think he's good. I think he's solid but has he proven himself really. I mean he had a great year for leeann but that great year. That was fifteen goals. That's not a lot and we all thought there is. Finally we have found our new number. Nine in the whole thomas has now. let's take him to us and he's gonna take his level up notch. It didn't happen. And i i try to make his co. Reference happened with mandates when he moved to manchester united. He was top goalscorer alongside. Our good friend adequate has gone away and he was so ready to start is. Jj has already star. He's not those he have the potential to become a big star. I'm starting to doubt it. And it's not only me is kind middle. Sanyo the manager for the olympic team who had to call another striker to be a part of that team in camry martine and maybe of it is the one getting the not from middle sanel and jay game see us might as well be left out of the olympic team that would speak volumes of what the manager and the mexican federation think of. Jj there's another reason. I don't like this move. It's twenty one years old. I could think you could make the argument. It's a little bit late. Not as late as the next player. Which louis romo. He's twenty six linked to south.

"Be the development objective a not in conflict with The goals and objectives of the other team to me. When i think of usa league want to i think of your strongest brands that i'm not thinking. Mls two teams you know. It's like for me being in the dc area richmond. Kickers have been around forever. That's a club a franchise that really represents it's community for madison. Gets all the buzz on online for their jerseys and stuff like that. I mean those are really strongest brands. Aren't they and you sell their tremendous brands. You know we've we've You know we. We make a point of of a low. We the league office here in tampa we make a point of embracing individuality of our clubs. They are the reflection of their communities. We do not want homogeneous league. Do not wanna tell them how to look and feel. We want them to be the best. Representations of themselves and every community is different and every club. Does it differently And that's what it's all about you know and you think about The league one clubs moving forward you referenced. A few there. There's fantastic brands. And leon now three years old league one we've got teams ford madison and union mahar. Greenville tormenta doing fantastic thing. Building a brand. And you've got a very historic clubs like richmond. Kickers one of the longest continually operating professional clubs in america Still going strong and building on what they've done every year so league one is in fantastic shape and and that's the model is appealing. That's what's bringing new investors to all the time we've got we've got Expansion In championship in leak wall. Now a a significant amount and you've seen Too busy with his fort. Wayne project coming to fruition. We've got hopefully Spokane and portland maine and spokane washington coming into our league soon. We've already announced some great teams coming in next year in northern colorado fresno so That's what's attracting people to league. One and the championship is that local connection to their local communities that in those forward madison uniforms really. That's why i brought ormat as i need some more gear here at. Espn right jake. Edwards of us l. We appreciate the time here on football magazine. We'll do it again soon thank you. Thanks for having me appreciate it. Good luck with the rest the year he did it again. Two thousand nine adding yet another goal for the l. a. galaxy this season. It's the winner in the two one not the game winner but the first gulf for the galaxy and their one on season that ties them for the top of the goal scored charts. Nfl ask the as well as eight. He's got eight goals in nine games. Played a very different tijani. Though them we saw last year. Now how about this. This is something that we've seen before from. The official twitter account of the mexican national team shoutout to some of their own book does playing in that galaxy. White cats game. Okay john son. He played thirty minutes. Yep check every year. He played thirty minutes and he scored the game winner. There was another do played more than thirty minutes and scored as well but again the mexican national teams official twitter account is pretending. Like have you done. this does not exist. Somebody who would never have pretend doesn't exist..

LAFC get over El Trafico hump! Zlatan's last game? Plus, ATL roll on, NYCFC biff it & Sounders end Rimando's career
"News it's fair that's the right you have their hand up in fingers out and they'll say five they say five we have I I mean I it's tilting towards that player improves Bob trusts him that player goes out there that player play interested in Blackman say the name of Bachman in this game but he's a second year player he was drafted as a fullback he started as a centre back in the playoffs against lot Abrahama Vich and he was good we see for Dennis to close a became a part of Giancarlo gonzalves not one of them but you're already had seven centrebacks on the roster what we're going to do about him so I would be shocked to see five or six of these names even on the team next year then we saw in the starting lineup that frontline next year as Pavonis Alessandrini Cheeto in the middle of the scar one hundred fifty goals tonight's game on whether it was his last in the last quote it's not about money I have another two months that's on his contract we will see what happens Mike because it also sounds like it might be about that's the type of thing you say when you say if you want people to watch you pay me more money I don't think it is and from like he he didn't do the pre game interview with ESPN and he seemed a little not rattled but annoyed and tailored tweeted out and said one of the Galaxy Representative said he's been like this all week I think some people took that as he's locked in but I took it as he's just kind of a bit annoyed with hall thing and the way maybe the season's gone and you could say there's a million arguments you can make a million different directions one is he's done everything he can the team hasn't put a team around him why should he spend more time trying to make this better you could also say that he came inside concord he didn't win a championship but he's been one of the three best scores in the league over the last two years after he blew out his knee and came back in a new place and did all that so nothing would surprise me but if you're let me to put a guess on somewhere I'd say he's not playing soccer next I got well it I think you're wrong about that but anyway I gotta ask you this what grade do you give Garam Barrow Scarlata for this year now there are extenuating circumstances those circumstances there's lots on anytime you are managing a team was slapped on that is a very very real I'm going to say it's a limiter on what you can do do both with Latin in with the players around now I would not give him any higher than a B minus I think why I think his job was to to construct something behind slot on that wasn't just a complete seve and it was just you had to find a way Eh get some semblance of organisation you had enough especially when pavone came in special players to do a three man game and attacking sense it can work was Unin pavone and fill in the blank even if it's early on tuna in major league soccer you just have to find a way to get your bit-part players of the guys that you picked up have you don't fit for Denison closer maybe we'll never be back but who cares it might be last year the galaxy you gotTa Win some symbols of Organization and structure and competence see defensively to get a better than a B minus grade in this sense he's inexperienced coach he's done before he's been in shaping which I know he's had more talented at Boca Juniors he's played in this league the crew when he played for them if I remember correctly you were not some expansive team he was a difference maker he made the Batak around him better it was down four four one one he played completely free role they had Allie Marino as as a centre forward just dragging defenders around it just to open it you had an opportunity to Kinda almost two structures one is Latin and whoever the hell is up there and the rest is the rest of the team guys just dig in Yeah figure it out getting your blocks don't teams have easy goals and this team I'm GonNa make a guess other than FC Cincinnati probably gave up the most like Oh my God what goals are you kidding me right now that's what how did that happen I agree with you I think it'd be minus is probably a good grade yeah probably for what's going on and I I love Guillermo so for Sir I felt bad going in part of this lots conversations I'm fascinated to see what he does Latin doesn't return like water the allegations he looks like under his vision the way he builds after that a little bit of time but I don't know that he was that creative with formations to say like I gotta figure something out we'll make the post is in but here's my four weeks test this and here's my two weeks attest this and I think in places you mentioned for Bob Rally a young guy will learn and get better where did we see that right who Leonora who played well and then all of a sudden Ralph John Fletcher's the difference maker now John Carlos Gonzales is you're right back the he had three incredible central midfielders they could never really control games like why was that night the tiger let's just see if we can get our foot on the ball on that will be our defending is well control games so grew with we I think a lot of it unfortunate wasn't good enough from him but it'll be interesting to see in year two if he doesn't have slots on how he chooses to play how his team you can kind of understand why it was in some ways because it was like the island of misfit toys and a lot of all these different teams that failed and then they come in you have Gonzaga on your Guy Z.? You lose all of a sudden you have expectations that are always over the maybe the capability of the team especially this era where they've been to close at one year I think you've got to start judging my next especially there's lots on you but you better have had a plan and I expect they do we'll see what that plan is before we move onto union Atlanta to know what you think about Bradley's Will Fang his little spots are who I really respect as a journalist I loves me I think he does a great job I think he's the future broadcasting US bilingual aspect of it with Mexico and the US and legal maximum loss be mashed up into one place he was very dominated his questioning about Carlos Vela and whether Carlos Villa had finally stepped up in a big game and Bob was incredulous and perhaps rightly so in the moment What do you think what do you think it was one person's job to ask obvious questions that everyone in the world is thinking it's another person's set up there to answer those questions I don't think anything that are asked was ridiculous I mean he asked the question he has and he asked the question everyone else and he asked actually and he's set bob up to say there's no chance anyone could say what you just said anymore he was phenomenal tonight he's been phenomenal season he's EP of major league soccer he's the best player this league's ever seen and he's going to go in and MLS Cup yeah it was that simple but it was fun the way it happened Bob a stupid Bob knows a good. TV's Bob knows everybody in that locker room is going to see that see him sticking up four to see him sticking up for for his best player the heartbeat of the team many messy the MLS messy like I I'm not saying like I I'm certain Bob's emotion in that moment because you could see he loves Carla I'M CERTAIN THAT EMOTION and was real but I'm all I think it was somewhat calculated for the to to make that a moment say like see they're always going to be asking this about what s let's go kick set go Seattle's as was win MLS Cup show every let's shut everyone up forever that's what that was I like it if that's what it was I like it I enjoyed it he's like look there's an ESPN ESPN notification that goes out after that you don't see that for they get that for the win I don't think like let let's just if that's what it takes man like you have all the historical rancid it's out there but you know how I feel about this league sometimes flavor man give me some flavor and Bob Bradley absolutely did Elliot C are moving on their the low number one seed remaining they just got to win one game and if they do that most couple in Los Angeles at Bank of California Stadium talk about it on Monday because we're that's the nice thing is Monday comes and we can really dive into Seattle L.. AFC and I just throw something out there sure I would be shocked if Seattle won that game I think that it's going to be more comfortable than the game we just watched this is the third tune in on Monday that producer honors a noted satellite is that the right the right phrasing for that unders Seattle Seattle ish person who's he's not happy with us that's fine we don't here to please you unders let's talk Atlanta Philly Alanna do what they do they win at home in the Playoffs Limitation Games it's eight in a row so far this year us Gut Communist Cup into the Audi twenty playoffs couple of shutouts Philadelphia great season great season Talla gap town gap better players bigger moments we also had this thing where it's like Philly I have eleven great players they're a great group which means they don't rely on one person but unfortunately that also meant if anyone got hurt they were behind the eight ball and you're not going to go in a scenario where you have all eleven guys healthy for every player Front Josie Outdoor Omar Gonzalez are out right Walker Zimmerman and Mark Anthony Care out so every you're always gonNA have injuries miles Robinson and Michael Parkers now not to mention Lee win in that previous like Mark Anthony Cares out loud wind came in and hit a decent philly doesn't have that former MVP game and Broncos on makes a phenomenal save but you as you watch this game it was hard to see where the goal was gonna come from four Philly and I don't think it's knock on them to go on short rest to go on
