"Everybody gets a documentary, and here's the thing I know so many talented filmmakers of people who are really incredible storytellers. And so I'm glad that documentary film Has become like there's this insatiable appetite for documentary film. However, I just I hope that this is an actual like look and people become introspective and are willing to open up as opposed to just like a 60 minute or 90 minute height video that is classified as some kind of a documentary where it's so like, basically whitewashed. You know, it just is basically one big PR campaign as opposed Tio True documentary, which gives you like a look into in a behind the scenes in something riel. And a lot of these quote unquote documentaries are just like, you know, just glorified PR. So you know, but you're just nobody in this day and age. No biggie said you're nobody till somebody kills you till somebody kills you. You're nobody now until somebody you know makes a documentary about your life. You do not exist. You were not successful. You You are not interesting unless there was a documentary about your life. That's it. Those are the rules now in this day and age. What I I guess the world number one is there's so much content that's needed out there that anybody and everybody Congar out and get a documentary and summer arm or No impactful clearly than others. I don't just have a semi watching a documentary on to a title, but no, I'm not. I know you know, and I find him interesting, but I've kind of become 30. 30 it out. You know, I try watch as much as I can be. Is the job that we do I get it. I watched the important ones but and the ones that interest may but There's so much out there. I mean, you basically be staring at your television set for, you know, for 78 hours and not doing anything else After we get to do that, I already do that watching that's watching games. I'm talking about watching documentaries. I'm talking about watching content. Whether beyond who? Lulu Netflix. I mean apple TV. Yeah, whatever it might be. I mean, you get everything and everything is at your disposal disposal right now is there's court cutters all over the place and all of your fingertips? I get it. I understand We're all looking for stuff. Tio entertain us on a day in day out basis, But I agree it's become too much. I'm not watching a documentary to hasn't done enough to watch a documentary on to us. That's what I'm saying. It's like we're gonna have to have one documentary, and then we're going to get another documentary like if you know what, after his rookie year that we'll get another documentary, we have another document, but it's it's It's fine with the with the genre. I love the genre. I think it's great keeps a lot of my friends employed lets them be creative. I love it, but Tell me if it's riel only if it's really I don't need like this is the first side that you know, a documentary quality, nitty gritty documentary. That's what I tell you. You have. You can identify the good from the great Syd. I mean, what the story's somewhat the tough stories I want the wants Some. I want some of this stuff that behind the scenes to be spilled. I don't need to see everything's hunky dorey. That is not much of a documentary. But how can I tell if it's a good one or not? If the subject of the documentary Is an executive producer or producer on the documentary. The odds are You are not going to be getting anything that is as unfiltered as you're hoping for, or that tries to attempt to show the true Scope of the person or if it's going through something in the past, what actually happened and looking at that with fresh eyes because we see this a lot with the entertainment industry writes like Taylor Swift is a documentary Lady Gaga has a documentary ambience is a documentary and They're not really documentaries because of the person is the executive producer, and they have the control over the narrative and the storytelling. It can still be interesting. I watched all three of those that I just named check and I thought they were fine, but it's not going to be that true documented. Let's find your missing out, but that's okay. You know, And we had, you know, as entertaining as the Michael Jordan documentary Wass, and it was, you know, he was definitely involved in that had a hand in it. And you maybe felt like you could have gotten a little bit more, even though I thought they did a good job with that. Jordan Doc, Like the Sammy Sosa, Mark McGwire. Doc, You know, it's like, all right, You had a really meaty topic there really good subject, and it just felt like You know, And I don't know if those guys were executive producers on those, but that's generally a good rule of thumb. If the person is essentially making their own documentary, you're not going to get the full story. No, I totally well. I totally agree and then you can't be critical of of the documentary afterward which people were About the last dance with because Michael because this is all coming from Michael Jordan's perspective? Well, yeah, he gave the okay. You know, he's sitting there with the two killers. Scotch. Whatever the hell's in his drink and You know it is mansion down in l A. You know, reminiscing about his life and rip it guys left and right. I mean, you're going to get it from Michael Jordan's perspective of it about just how great of a player that Michael Jordan is. I grew the Listen. I know there's enough. I mean that. No, We've got so much to watch right now when he looked at the MBA when you've got the NHL playoffs get underway. You got five overtime game a transpired last night. You got playoff hockey. It's 11 o'clock this morning, So I mean, they're your baseball to watch every single night. So there's so much to watch. I'm done with documentaries. Maybe early on in the global pandemic was locked in. I watched the last dance each and every Sunday night we talked about it time and time again when there was nothing else going on, though it's fantastic, but You're right. Everybody and their mother's get a documentary. Even for people I could understand if two at 55 years old, you know goes out there wants to soup bowls on the Miami Dolphins. You want to do a documentary on to it? That's fine to a 2122 years old. I need to see a documentary on his days in Alabama. I mean, come on, They're well, they're also not enough time has passed for reflection. Reflection, introspection. What does it mean? We don't know. It's just gonna be like part. One of it should just be part one in a Siri's of documentaries about to up because we've got so much more for himto. Hopefully, his career is long and you know Maybe Jets and bills and Patriots fans don't hope that it's all that successful, but we hope you know you're you're never rooting for injury or anything like that with a player. So hopefully is a long NFL career. And then they would look back on it a little bit more perspective. I just I'm just not ready for a to a doctor right now. Right thinking about from from a New York local perspective documentary. What would I like to see now? I would like to see A documentary about you know Derek Jeter in his life before we got married and what? We're exactly in those gift baskets after he met a lady on the town in a particular night. I'd like to know exactly. We got an idea from the New York Post, No worthy gift basket, like denied from the From the lady's perspective, I'd like to kind of get down and dirty with that. I'd like to know also I'd like to do on a rod documentary on what was transpiring when baseball on him going out there, Lying left and right, like that would be an intriguing documentary. But course you work it made that will never get made. What Chris say from the course you worked out how to bring up a road? Yes, I'd like to see Chris. You would have a rod. A rod would absolutely be the guy who is the executive producer of his own..

I mean I would say no. But I do like i. kind of like what it implies in a way I do think that I'm always curious. I don't know I feel like I. Do have may be a troublemaker sort of nature when it comes to maybe making music like I like to take two worlds that are not supposed to come together and bring them together like to create and work with tension, so maybe in a way. That's why I was very much drawn to the name. Growing up in Puerto Rico. What kind of music was on her? On my Dad's side, a lot of so three. Oh Music Rock. He loved rocks and on my mother's side. My mom was more like an MTV head like. She just loved Madonna Prince Chardonnay. She was like more like mainstream. So I think that she will was more to English meet like English spoken music, and Spanish music, so we heard a lot of that, and that's mostly what Puerto Ricans here like we you know. Our airwaves are all like top forty American music, so we grew up with a lot of American music on the radio. But also like. And a lot of the Puerto Rican music was really has always been really important for my dad and my dad really taught me to love the music that was from my home country. Sucre up on the island. What's the turning point where you decide? You want to move to New York. Well I mean I studied architecture and design, and it was working at an office, and then I felt that really that may be. Our design wasn't really what I wanted to do. Like a wanted to be creative. And, so, I got I got into Rhode Island. School of design for my master's degree and I decided to textiles, and so I kind of knew that I might ticket to get into new. York was to actually go to maybe a school where I could get a job in new. You'll probably meet anybody if you're around the same age I had the sort of like Make Ban with my friends Ban The way you putting it in quotation marks. Because I think it was sort of like mostly like a band that we never really kind of record anything we had songs, but it was mostly to pass the time and have fun like it was a timer. Like single just writing about like you know like just being single in the city, and it was kind of like a silly kind of project, but we were kind of playing our songs and. We used to do like weird like Spanish covers of pop songs, and we were doing a cover of bed romance of Lady Gaga in Spanish. and. I didn't know how to finish the song. I didn't know the cords Lewis comes in. I know the course of that song. And then he came in, and we finished a song from there on I knew he made music that he had like a whole history with bands. He had actually come to New York to make music end. Just like that we connected. We started hanging out jamming and. I showed some demos that I had with with the beginnings of what was boost cowboy Dan was super excited about it and immediately we. We hit it up and we started making music and we fell in love. But which came first the music or the Romance I have said a music came I for sure I. Main I'm seven years older than Louis so in a way I kind of felt a little bit like I. Just seventeen helping his first week so congrats to future and next week. It actually looks like another rap. Album could lead the list At least in terms of early forecasting it looks like Ghana's new album WANNA might start atop the list and if it does start at number one it would mark gunness first number one album. Would you call that a number one for Ghana a WANNA GONNA a one hundred WANNA on never mind? Oh boy. I like that album a great deal. Well let's talk about rain on me. Man. It came out last. Winning best new artist. Thank you know why I'm hype and so much but I mean my clear pop icon will forever be. Gino is all right next question number four. There's this stereotype that has long permeated lesbian culture. And it's that Lesbians Love Cameo in fact auto straddle did a survey about it and found that lesbians are more likely to own cats than any other group of People. I wouldn't know as I myself am a dog bisexual so I hit up Dr Rachel Cordesman. Visiting professor in women's Gender and Sexuality Studies at Wake Forest University. She curated an exhibition all about lesbians in cats by Harry. Cats have a lot of associations with southern entity and often kind of dangerous or deviant forms of feminine any so because of Lake Association so cats switches association so flake cats even with like pejorative terms for China after the nineteen seventies the sort of a defiant reclamation of cats with an different lesbians cultures lesbian feminist for reclaiming hats and now furthering this educational moment our final coup weary question number. Queer people love soup and you wanted to know why in so I went and asked my sweet sweet. Got Sister The undercut champion Baltimore. Why Queer people are so obsessed with soup she would. She said Parker. That's what I thought. I know. That's not a thing. Okay first of all you're making. It seem like us. Queers put soup on a pedestal. I'm just saying that UH squares like to eat some soup. I'm always being invited to sue cooking. Parties Soup potlucks. Even soup exchanges. But I mean everyone loves soup. It's delicious and it's cheap. But then I talked to my friend Kiana and Shalit's me and passionate messages like this. Why do I like soup so much? Let me tell you. Even though they look so easy and simple they could take hours almost like you know romancing a lesbian the seasonally simple but in actuality extremely hard true true but also Parker. I have a confession. I actually don't like soup what I don't like. It would have been good information to know about weeks ago. Well it still even though I don't like soup is still something I was curious about. And it's still something that holds up. I'm just a special anomaly. Okay versus So it's not a thing you have in previous Leslie. I coming up one more investigation from and it is a doozy Nancy. We'll be right back. No one is carrying soup around

It's only Wednesday ordinance Wednesday and that's only Wednesday. You've already had two great stories. Come out which we'll talk about a little bit later in the pot brine but joining us for the first time I believe is Tim Kyun. Who's one of the great feature writers? One of the great sports betrays in America. Jackie is absolutely too far. I am I being too kind to a guest. He's the bomb. He's the bomb. Very nice for you. You're being too kind though now. Now now we're GonNa talk about something you did twenty five years ago. How about that? Hey that's all I write about stuff. That happened twenty years ago and more misspell Jim Month. At least it's a cottage industry. Now I should tell you that our coverage of the last dance is brought to you by state farm. You want the real deal like a good neighbor. State farm is their coverage is also brought to you by. At and T. You know we're not lucky I. I'm looking to all of these journalists out there who are talking about episodes four and five and six and whatever I watched the last dance for the first time. Like the other six or seven million people the other night so The reason we want Tim here. Tim In Tim What Year did Bad as I WANNA be a get published may of ninety six so may of ninety-six. Tim wrote the Number One New York Times bestseller. Bad as I WANNA be with Dennis Rodman and if you're of a certain way you know a lot of our listeners won't remember over certain age will remember Jackie. I know what I remember about this book. I don't know if remember it. I remember Dennis Rodman Promoting wearing a wedding dress. Now that probably makes Tim Shudder because all of his work that he did on it. That's my memory. But Hey I don't know what to tell you but go google it. It's out there It's kind of what I remember was it was a fairly memorable moment but no what. I what I remember was someone of great note finally captured the Real Dennis Rodman which even though that title suggests something different. Tim went through. We're Dennis Robin came from. And that was the Dennis Rodman I knew as well and the one that I still hold deal my heart and look for very carefully every time I see him. I don't know if you feel that way tim but I do. You captured it perfectly. Somebody was asking me about him earlier today. And I and I not as eloquently tried to convey the same message which was that that there are times that I'm sad but but there are also times when I I find a glimmer of that generous humble guy that didn't really understand how he got where he got to and often didn't know how to handle it once he was there but There is a there is a certain endearing charm to him back then You know it's pretty unheard of although I'm going to the exception proves the rule here in a second because Derrick rose just came out with an with an autobiography with Sam Smith. But it's it's pretty unheard of in today's Day and age for a for an active player to put out a book nowadays. They put out documentaries. I guess is the with their own production companies at least a book that focuses that is sort of reviewing this made. A player may put out like some sort of pasta book but that was a different era. happened all the time back then. Brian everybody magic did birded. Michael Jordan had three books written. You know he did one with Bob. Green called Hank time and I mean this. This happened a lot right. Tim Back then. It did. And it always seems to happen. After teams won championships. Right and the star player. Come out with something and and it was often not great but there were a lot of them. Bit were very revealing Publishers Kinda demanded it at the time. Bj Novak's Dad did magic. Johnson book did a really good job. Of course Bob Ryan did drive with Larry Bird. So these were these things happened back then. Yeah so you've got a story coming out on. Espn DOT COM on Friday. About your your time with Rodman when you then you did that book And we haven't gotten to the Rodman section of the Of last dance yet. But I have to assume that it is coming. So can you tell us tim where Rodman was in his career and maybe his head Melissa is going to be the same era that the documentary is done where he was in his head at this at this time when when you wrote this book. Brian is pretty interesting. Because when I started the book he was a San Antonio Spur and when I finished the book he was a Chicago Bull so where he was in his head and where where he wasn't his basketball career both changed dramatically over the time that I spent with him I happen to be with him. And his agent when he got the call finalizing the trade and that was a moment that was just stunning in a way because there was just this even though everyone knew that he was going to be gone from San Antonio and there was talk of Chicago it making it final in that way and being there and just after they hung up the phone. Just sensing this like dead quiet for like thirty seconds where everyone sort of digested what? This meant. Both for Denison for the Bulls and for Basketball. And you know kind of exaggerated and say the world but I mean it had so many repercussions that and he went from being really radioactive with the spurs where who knew whether he was gonna find another another team or whether somebody would would really take a chance You know to to by the time this book came out. He was you know. Michael Jordan was obviously number one in the world in terms of an athlete but but Rodman was kind of in the conversation with the way that he handled himself especially that first year in Chicago. So you know it made a made a little bit of news recently that trade because he was. If I'm not mistaken he was traded for will perdue. Yes we'll produce a nice man but He's not a hall of Famer. But you gotta remember. Dennis Rodman was a train wreck at that point. We just saying you know Jerry. Krause while he has been maligned in a lot of reasons rightly so he did made some pretty good transactions and this was pretty good transaction Rodman. I think it was just this week. Said that this first rate into the Bulls for nobody which was bulled purdue but can you set the scene where were you and were you like doing a book interview and he gets this call and does he have a cell phone. I'm just interested in the moment that had happened. Yeah so I found out as soon as I won the job to do this book that to do it. I was going to have to merge my life with Dennis's that there wasn't going to be this. Hey we'll meet from nine to noon and talk about the clearing years and then we'll circle homa from two to four like he didn't operate so is agent at the time was a guy named Dwight. Manley who Manley wasn't not an Asia. He was a world renowned coin collector and was like this prodigy anyway. Dwight zone story but Dennis was living with Dwight in Orange County California and I spent two like one week. Stints there with them and it was toward the end of the civil. If I remember correctly was like toward the end of the second. Stint that this phone call came and we were just in Dwight's kitchen and it came in over the landline and and Dwight talk for most of the time. And and then to no one's surprise Denison do a lot of talking when he got the phone and You know he just got off the phone and everyone just kinda looked around and it was like this is a change a lot of things including the book because it became kiss you went from being a guy that was fighting with everyone in San Antonio and and you know had just this list of grievances about every high profile player to being a guy that went somewhere where he found a coach that loved him. played with The maybe the one player in the world who could focus him in the right direction consistently So yeah it was. It was pretty momentous. I mean it was. It was the biggest I would say. Probably the biggest day of Dennison's basketball career biggest day your career as a writer to write else thirty one years old three kids under six at home. You know we were you tim. I'm just picturing you like going from a guy who's a problem in San Antonio to this key member of the greatest dynasty maybe ever right and and we didn't know at the time obviously what was going to play out but but at that moment that they took that phone call one thing I remember thinking was. This became more of a basketball book. Which made me happy you know. It became more of a sports book. And A and a look it rather than just a a celebrity book which was kind of what we were thinking when he was in San Antonio. Because I don't think anyone thought basketball would would sell books you know on. And he already been dating Madonna at that time that yes and that that relationship had run its course and the celebrity because he had been You know my friend Mike. Silver was sports illustrated at the time in. He did the big cover story were. Dennis had the parrot on his shoulder and he's wearing the leather and he's got the feather Boa and that kind of chronicle his life off the court which was a lot of party in weekends in Vegas and and that kind of pushed him out there. But you know Brian. Jackie would probably agree with this. Is that He. He was unique and ground-breaking in a Lotta ways in one of them was the way that he brought a lot of disaffected people who were marginalized by society. Who never would've watched a basketball game? He brought them into the game because of his what he taught what how he talked about himself. And other people his background you know. It was revolutionary in Nineteen Ninety. Four for him to put the AIDS ribbon on the back of his head and play a game on national television. That that that was a time when I mean that wasn't sanctioned by the NBA that wasn't sanctioned by the San Antonio Spurs. That was a statement that he was making that. Was You know reaching a handout? At a time when the AIDS epidemic was was terrible. And and there was a lot of homophobia and it was you know there was a lot about him. That was culturally significant. That I think sometimes at that time got lost in the the craziness of his erratic behavior. You Know Tim. I think he was lady Gaga before Lady Gaga. He really was the thing that was so interesting about him. Was you know Dennis Rodman's introvert and all this stuff? I I've always said that. I just wish Dennis Rodman never had his first drink because I really believe that once he started drinking. I mean he's an alcoholic. He's I'm not telling you anything. He hasn't said he's a recovering alcoholic. And if you never had that I drink I'll always wonder how it would have been because I I will tell you I was at an all star game..

"Amazing Maggie. I hope you saw all of our juicy exclusives. We had so much well. One thing that we had was that Lady Gaga has a new man in her life or at least we've identified the Guy Right. Yeah we got these great photos of them kissing in Miami over the weekend right and this was before she lady Gaga played a big concert before the Super Bowl. Right fight on Saturday night. Yes before the show she was with this dude and they were like hanging out on a balcony of her hotel and they were like lazing around on on this kind of Hsieh's together like what is it a day bed or what. What what do you lounge on in Miami? What are those things? It looks like a day bed you know were they like put those things on the beach and you're in bed but you're on the selling those Cabana things I've been I'm terrible at lounging. I like like a stiff chair to sit up straight in. I looked terrible. This is why I was always happy. I was never invited to Paisley Park because I always assumed that if prince invited me to his house it I would just be all like purple. Throw pillows on the floor and you'd have to like lounge. And I just can't look who'll lounging. That's why you're exactly but anyway. So they were lounging around and there was quite a view rate. She was wearing. I don't know if it was like a bathing suit or underwear. She looks like she thinks thinks something skimpy. She's wearing a robe a robe. Yeah so she was hanging out with this dude. And who is this Guy Maggie. Okay so his name. Is Michael Polanski a Harvard graduate. Who Runs facebook? Cofounder Sean Parker's Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy. So he's the CEO of the Parker Group which is based out of San from Cisco right so there is speculation that lady Gaga had met this Guy Polanski through Sean Parker because Lady Gaga been at a lot of various Sean Parker events in parties. And things like that back in January there was a report that Lady Gaga was photographed kissing a mystery man term. Here lot impaired six and other celebrity tabloid reports so we exclusively identified the guy it does seem like an upgrade grade honestly from the League has been engaged twice before right to Christian Carino was a CIA agent And they broke up last a year and then she was also engaged to Taylor Kinney. WHO's on Chicago? Fire an actor an actor a good another good looking actor But this guy seems to be pretty smart art and he's also a good looking dude. Yeah a source told us. Michael is a really smart guy a very serious guy who has always been low key and it might be time for Gaga to have low key relationship although from the looks of it now that we know who he is and the Paparazzi is on their tail may not stay as low key as they had hoped right well she. He went public after our report identifying the dude and now that he's not a mystery man anymore she did post a picture of them together on Instagram Saying you you know. We had such a great time in Miami. Thanks to all my fans so basically basically acknowledging this about there was one thing about the photos Maggie that I found very curious and suspicious. officious go on so if you look at the photos their pictures of her on this what. We're calling day bed possible HSIEH's situation MHM and she's lying with him and she's the they're together kind of getting cozy as we like to say but then if you scroll through the photos and they're making out on this balcony seemingly but then if you scroll through the photos and you go to the last photo okay. There's a group of people in in the shot who are just all staring at them. Okay and the thing about this balcony is it's on the street level. Oh so there's just a whole so they're making out and she's in this bikini and robe and it's like ooh these shots of these private moment but then like if you pull back there's a photo of there's like twenty people literally just standing there on the sidewalk next to the railing of this poor. It's like more like a porch orch just looking at them so it's not like they're up high in like a high rise on a balcony. It's literally like they're kind of on display kind of looks like people at the zoo. who or something just sort of like looking into some exhibit where you're like here? They are in their natural habitat on a hsieh's celebrity noodling and then get back in the little trolley. You know but so it's really weird in other words I think that lady. This wasn't as private.

And then you could buy tickets for another show that's called jazz, piano, where it's just her singing piano, and that's it. So kind of ballots both are equally. I had a different view of what Saturday's performance was every other woman sought different way who watched it online. We're just like, whoa. Whoa. That is a little too close for that long. It's the thing of like, your husband doesn't have good friends that he hangs out with in that way. Can you imagine I'm gonna go? I'm gonna go meet up with my friend. And then you see some some video of them just close for what I think it was staged. So of course, we've we've talked about this off air, but we we know the award season. We know the pageantry and all that shit behind. It you hire. Yes. And you have to hire publicity firms strictly for your Oscar campaign not for your day to.

"And he is a Tony award winner for best book of a musical for avenue. Q. Did you do? And other fun. Fact, Diane, Warren friend. Diane Warren is nominated for her tenth Oscar nomination this year, not ten all in this year. But ten in total her tenth nomination they've all been in the best original song category. This year she's nominated for all fight from Rb g which I saw just low. Cool. Great film. Yeah. It is also documentary about roof later Ginsburg versus the narrative film. That's currently out about Ruth baiter gun on the basis of sex who separate fell on Rb, G is awesome. Native for best documentary anyway Diana's nominated for all fight which is the in credit song performed by Jennifer Hudson in our BG and the certain nations she has yet to win. Now. I believe she is the most nominated person in this category without a win. And interestingly if you believe forecasters, this seems like this award could probably go to lady Gaga. Yeah. And the rest of her co writers for shallow. For a star is born which means Diane will possibly lose to a woman that she helped get her first Oscar nomination for lady Gaga, I nominate was for best original song for till it happens to you for from the hunting ground, which is written with Diane Warren. But you know, I think Diana will be okay with that. So probably tear Gaga on. Oh, I'm sure she'll be the first person on her feet, and we've talked about this a lot on this podcast. But it seems that a an element of the best regional song prize is how song as used in the film and shallow was a key part. Exactly shallow is so integral to the plot of the film. And this is like multiple times. Now that the Diane Warren has been nominated for these great songs, but that are uncrowded songs. And then it's just not as integral to the film. No all the stars is also in credit song. And I don't I haven't seen the ballot of was Scruggs. It's on Netflix. Now, if you'd like to was it ever in a theater? No, yeah. No. I think it I it hit was had to. Yeah. So it was probably in a theater for a we or something something stupid like that. And it's dumb. Okay. Anyway, anything else while I do want to say the twenty nineteen Oscar ceremony will broadcast live on February twenty.

We were talking at home last night about you and just how much we admire you and we decided that we think you're right. You should go ahead with the job is his unbelievable. This is what I call an ambush. By the majority, you also call yourself the host. Let's talk. All right. So lady Gaga one of our favorite shows of the season. Got preempted, right? So today's to the country, so today is Tuesday, October the second you can see lady Gaga star of a star is born day today. You were supposed to be able to see lady Gaga on our show last week, but then what happened? Andy, what happened was professor. Ford was testifying along with judge Cavanaugh and basically our show was preempted across the country. And of course, of course, fire country was watching Tarkhan, but anytime we're preempted for anything, I know exactly the second. We are in New York because my mother text me going, what's wrong, what's wrong with the show? Why are they putting news on explain there's something wrong with shell? Sometimes there's news but so, but on on this particular day, I think we were pretty much preempted in the entire country, and that's why we're airing it again today because it was so good. And you know, I have to say. Hey, I think I don't always think what they preempt us for is important. I do think this was an important day for Americans to watch, and obviously the country continues to be very divided. I personally found I found it very hard to watch yet. And if there's if there's something that I took from today's that I watched of of Christine Blasi, Fords testimony and and Brett Kavanagh's testimony. It's that we need to vote. America needs to vote. I agree. One in America needs to vote. Yes. Every person in America needs to a Republican democrat. However, you feel the only way to effect changes through our voices and our voices are heard through our vote. So in November vote, wherever you feel vote and don't feel like, oh, I live in a red state or I live in a blue state. My vote won't count your vote counts, and you wanna be. A part of this system. We live in a country where everybody gets to be part of the system if you're eighteen years of age or Knoller be a part of it. Now, Kevin is a registered felon. Yes. Are you allowed allowed anymore? You've lost. Okay. Yeah, I I wasn't think clever. we're back to lady Gaga I, I just think you could. I think you couldn't watch our system. You could watch our political system in in process on TV last week, and you could think your vote doesn't matter. You could think you're doesn't count. You could think the system wants you to give up, don't it becomes evermore important in moments like that too. Please vote. However, you vote vote, whoever you vote for vote and is your and I believe the deadline to register to vote. If you're not registered is coming up and you just go to vote dot gov. Yeah, you can find out all the information and I'll just say, I woke up the day after those hearings and felt more inspired than ever to vote and to use my voice in to be part of to be part of the conversation picking out presents is hard. And this is Kevin from Ellen on the go. It's important to support artists in developing countries. You can do good globally..

"I think people are, you know, they're on their media tour right now Bradley Cooper and lady Gaga and there's all these stories about Bradley Cooper. You know, this is the first movie that he directed, but he was like feeling himself so hard that like she came to the audition, you know, lady Gaga out with like all the makeup and stuff. And he liked just handed her a makeup. Oh shit. Wipe it off. And she went off and he was like, now I see. No, I think this story I heard is that he white it off for her, and then he was like, there you are. Real, you. Shit. I love it which rules. So she's a, she's a really beautiful person. Absolutely. Yeah. That's really, I think when the first one case she's not going to be wearing makeup in the movie, right? Or saying form of may be heavily made up in the move being a star just highlighting. I think her natural looks rather than the, you know, her sort of her her lady Gaga percent rate. 'cause she plays a country singer country issue. I think Bradley Cooper plays a country singer. He's Cooper by the way like they did a good job with his makeup because he looks like just gin blossomed out. Jin blossomed that he looks like he's been passed out in the sun for like seven hundred years. Yeah, like three days. But man that part where lady Gaga just starts doing the, oh. Super producer. Has just looped that. I think this is a trailer that explains that part. So we were huddled around the thing. I'm like, oh, when's it coming in once it didn't come in the whole part? Yeah, we were so excited like you. You just smash shit. It never happened. So I haven't seen the trailer since I saw in theatres. How does he discover her again, like in a bull bar something. Yeah. And then you know, she's a reluctant singer songwriter and he's. Yeah, you're reluctant actually because she's not feeling herself. She's always writing songs for other people and he's like, oh, you got the juice. Nope. It's like an underdog story where like everyone tells us she's too right, right. That's hilarious. Takes funny that that's still the fly, but that is like what happened to her at the beginning of her career is they were like, yeah, we like you, but like not your look. She had to like, go like plugging lady Gaga herself out my shame. So yeah, the music industry is, is that way? No, but it is a little funny that like the whole plot for this movie is just, you know, she's all that style like God, I'm hideous. It's very, pretty one and more importantly, your talented, your guests, gorge. That eagles scream though that she has. That was I remember when I watched the trailer that's I had my my skin. Goosebumps for sure. She out here blast in the Mike. I do love a follow on Twitter and the talking about the trailer, and it doesn't really unoccupied. They're like, yeah, lady Gaga is a really talented singer, but she's like her acting like what a feeder kid thinks is good or some schilling really innocuous joke tweet, but it got big. And then what's your Bank club called a little monsters. The monster fucking worse than a non Mus dude. I felt so bad for this woman. They were like, we're going to find where you live. We're going to kill you and your children. We're going to eat your souls. Her replies were just like, all right, we are the little monsters and we are legion and is like what book shake, it's terrifying. I can't imagine I her and beyond a terrifying fam- like everyone. Everybody. Fan, like group like Taylor swift, Justin Bieber like, yeah, I feel. Just going to be like the warriors accept everybody's going to be just like different stands like different fan groups. Each other. You have different personalities though, like beer stands and swift stance from what I've seen on the internet and I could be very wrong. They definitely have their aggressive units or whatever. But there are for the most part, like always on the defensive kind of like, oh, he didn't mean that it was out of context or right Taylor's. Good. Good kind person heart, whereas the lady Gaga and beyond a stands are like we're gonna fucking kill you like right way more..

"Something to talk about. Once again, lady Gaga is a master when it comes to giving her community something to talk about. There's a story that you may not know about her while many people cross the world. When you say lady Gaga, they think of the meat dress or they think of the ridiculous. Costumes or outfits, which definitely was part of the strategy of giving her one percent or something to talk about. There was one thing she did that you may not know about it was how lady Gaga went about getting people to talk about her scent. Teams like everywhere you look when you see these Popstars hell have their own perfume. Justin Bieber has girlfriend, which I thought it was going to be Bieber. Fever. I would have gotten that one coup else has went beyond, say, had her perfume lady Gaga realized that sure she could go about creating her own sent yet as mother monster. She wanted to go above and beyond and use this as an opportunity to not only express the core values of her brand, but also give her people something to talk about. But what I love about Gaga to really create stories behind things that she does. And so she said to look, I if I'm gonna do perfume, here's what I wanna do on wanted to perfume called stain and Gaga was a student of fame. She studied Andy Warhol and she said, you know, Fain is a very seductive thing. It's council be dark bang, kind of scary. And I want this perfume to be black in the bottle and spray on clear. I want people to be almost afraid to put it on, and they told her couldn't be done. They said, can you come up with something else? And she said, you know what? That's at the end. If you don't wanna do it, forget it. And then they realize, oh my goodness, lady Gaga and said, they put their scientists on it and six months later, they came out with a pending formula of this first ever black ODA par film that is back in the bottle. It sprays on clear and it had never been done before, and I am. I do keynotes and actually bring this out sprayed on people. I'm sorry. Sprayed on you today, but it it's actually smells great and it's unisex and one of things that she did to help market biz again, lady Gaga does nothing small. She partnered with Steven Klein and they got a million dollars of budget and created an eight minute movie about the perfume, and the special effects of this movie will rival any horror or thriller or scifi movie you've ever seen, and you can go to YouTube and find that end. So this thing was launched into the world, the perfume, this crazy movie. And this perfume became the facility perfume after Chanel number five, six million balls in the first week, thirty million bottles in the first six months. And I love this quote from the chief marketing officer Cody. She said, you know, Gaga was really behind the biggest innovation in the fragrance industry. In the last twenty years, she gave people things talk about. She gave her fans something to talk about it. It was different, and that's why I think it was so successful. What we want to highlight here is that you have to push yourself creatively and go beyond what you normally do, or what's your competitors normally do? Are you giving your customers things to talk about. We need to. So they'll keep vandalizing us to their family in the France..
