"You know what I <Speech_Female> mean? How old <Speech_Female> is your Sunday? <Speech_Music_Female> Right, <Speech_Music_Female> he is a teen <Laughter> boy. <Speech_Female> I have my <Speech_Female> hands <Speech_Female> full. I mean, and you <Speech_Female> know, boys, they <Speech_Female> can only think of one <Speech_Female> thing. <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Female> Absolutely. Well, and <Speech_Male> that's what Paul <Speech_Male> if they're good <Speech_Male> boys. If they're <Speech_Male> good boys like drew, <Speech_Male> okay? But I <Speech_Male> asked you, because we haven't <Speech_Male> a minimum age <Speech_Male> requirement <Speech_Female> 12 for <Speech_Female> girls 16 <Speech_Male> for boys. Okay cool. <Speech_Male> That's cool. You know, it's <Speech_Male> about when <Speech_Female> their maturity <Speech_Male> is at the same level. <Speech_Male> And so they can start <Speech_Male> that young. So if there <Speech_Male> is a young <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Female> man <Speech_Male> or an old <Speech_Male> boy <Speech_Male> who loves the <Speech_Female> lord. Okay, it <Speech_Male> is looking for <Speech_Male> someone else to <Speech_Male> start a family. <SpeakerChange> You can <Speech_Male> do that. You can do that at 16. <Speech_Male> Just for the record, <Speech_Male> I just want <Speech_Male> everyone to know that the <Speech_Male> age <SpeakerChange> things <Speech_Male> was my wife's <Speech_Female> idea. Well, I know <Speech_Female> what I want when <SpeakerChange> I was 12. <Speech_Male> A good Christian <Speech_Male> man. That's right. <Speech_Male> On <SpeakerChange> the record I <Speech_Male> just want everyone to know I said <Speech_Male> agent said. <Speech_Male> And you know what? <Speech_Male> It depends <Speech_Male> on where you're located. <Speech_Male> Okay? And <Speech_Female> the question really is, <Speech_Female> what does <SpeakerChange> God <Speech_Female> consent to? <Speech_Female> And <Speech_Female> girls really need to <Speech_Female> get a move on to be <Speech_Female> honest. Talk about a ticking <Speech_Female> clock to do this <Speech_Female> day. I mean, <Speech_Female> a man can procreate <Speech_Female> for his entire <Speech_Female> life and a woman <Speech_Female> has a window that just <Speech_Female> continues to shrink so <Speech_Female> we gotta get on it, <Speech_Female> 'cause we gotta get <Speech_Female> in these badly <SpeakerChange> relationships <Speech_Female> and make <Speech_Male> more Christians. <Speech_Male> Absolutely. <Speech_Male> Absolutely. <Speech_Male> And the app must be doing <Speech_Male> quite well because <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> I did <Speech_Male> notice that car that you <Speech_Male> pulled up in, <Speech_Male> what is that amount? <Speech_Male> Awesome. CEO of X2, Mark French, on How His Product Has Disrupted the Market

"Now. A couple of questions. I have here for you one. Is you guys are operating this business. And i would say that it is. It is disruptive what you're doing from what i can tell. The brand seems to be disruptive. What do you accredit the the rapid growth to do. What do you attribute the rapid growth to why is it. Being such a disruptive success. I would say there's more people coming to the category now right so there's certain people that would never try an energy drink right that more health conscious consumer really was not interested in putting in other bodies some of these beverages that had you know some you know ingredients that you can't even pronounce so as more people. Are you know looking for energy solutions. Whether it's a coffee drinker. That wants something. A little bit cleaner lighter Or you know somebody that might be drinking other energy drinks but is trying to live a healthier lifestyle. You know. i think that's really where the disruption comes in also. There's never really been a brand that you know was built in the locker room in this energy category right so you know. We're really fortunate that Death net recently featured us as a sports drink. Innovator we're not really a sports drink. We're not a hydration drink or something that you might take Before you want to do some exercise or if you wanna just have a little bit more energy and focus throughout the workday but you wanna have it with clean healthy ingredients and you know the other reason why people might consider us to be somewhat. Disruptors is just because of you know this athlete a model. there really haven't been athletes like saquon. Barkley labonte david kawhi leonard and now kendall tool who's one of the top peleton athletes That are joining a company like ours as shareholders and partners in the business. I think it's just you know shedding some light that there is renovation innovation in the energy category and that's where we could probably be looked at as being somewhat

"Almost i so he could go the whole year and then we make it to the super bowl and he gets penalty in the super bowl ends up losing us the super bowl penalty. He would never do but he was penalty free in twenty twenty last year. A two thousand eighteen and twenty seventeen. It's it's just. It's it's incredible and it goes to really to me. You don't get because i'm big into mono mono may in verses man you know that's how i'll watch football if you beat the guy in front of you. That's what matters. And i'm really big into seeing guys who make mistakes on the field levada. David doesn't make a whole lot of mistakes. But we've got a lot of guys and that's why our team is so good because we don't make a lot of mistakes now you've had guys on our team that in this is kind of endemic in the league you know they make great plays great highlight players but then they make a lot of mistakes during the game. And you don't see those you miss a block or if you get pushed out of the way or if you're in the wrong spot you know in the secondary you know you're playing man runs the plan zone or something like that you know. That's the stuff. I'd look for and levante. David rarely makes mistakes but we did talk about this last year about a week. Twelve when he just uncharacteristically look like he had no idea what was going on during the whole game and then we said well you know maybe it was he. He was tired. You know we hadn't had a bye week yet. So he came back in week thirteen and he was still looking bad and he was. He looked bad for like two or three weeks and we talked about it last year. I was really concerned about it. And i said well you know. There's probably some personal issues going on in his life. I chalked it up to most likely marital issues. Always the woman's fault will. Hey talk to adam and eve about that but come to find out. That was the time that labonte david found that his father was only had few months delivered that he had terminal cancer. And you know we wondered what it was and we have been one of the things we're like. Why is the media not asking about his play. What's going on there Come on that's what it was..

"There's going to be times and this is going to be on frank vogel in labonte managing where there's going to be four minutes left in the game and russ as it playing defense and is facing the floor and they're going to have to pull russell westbrook off in late moments in a game and say we way ellington out there or something insane like that and i just don't know chris how russell westbrook's going to handle something like that as a pro as a former mvp. He ain't going there to sit on the bench and crunch time and that is another issue. The lakers are going to have to manage because you could tell coups mind. Kcpt hey sit on the bench. I don't know lavar how you tell a star and russell westbrook is a star. How you sit on the bench at the games because you can't shoot the basketball. They're not going to tell him to sit on the bench. They're gonna have to figure it out what they're going to have to do. But you have that. One bruce all. You're the expert. No that's why lebron needs to be the primary decision-maker lebron we know. He ain't westbrook like the ball in their hands. Lebron will give it up if he trusts your decision making but he's not going russell westbrook as great as he is in j. mac. He's not a star. He's a superstar as gray and legendary as he is. He's never been known as the wisest decision maker and that will be frustrating. Lebron lebron has to runway. I think lebron should look at it. Like i'm magic johnson. And i'm the third scoring option and then it'll be the third lean score. Lebron will get twenty points just by playing thirty minutes again just by being on the floor. He's that good. He's going to get twenty plus he needs to make sure a and westbrook get said if he goes with that mentality. I think that's best for the lakers. And like i said..

"During the pandemic companies told me that young adults wanted the comfort of nostalgia or a little bit of quirky fun and they have been buying more dinosaur shaped nuggets and other shapes as well joining us now is ellen byron reporter at the wall street journal. Thanks for joining us ellen. Nice to be here. Wanted to talk about something pretty fun. Dino nuggets everybody loves them just this morning. I pulled up. Your article started reading it. My wife came into the room. And she says what's wrong with dino nuggets. you know. She was so excited already. She's like there's gotta be something wrong. If it's in the news right now but allen you were digging into how a lot of companies right now are turning their attention to dino nuggets to other shapes other fund shapes and we're just kinda hitting this really fun moment with these things right now so ellen tell us a little bit more about it well food companies only that there are two different forces at play that has really driven big gains in novelty shaped chicken. Nuggets one is kid are home. They've been home from school. They're homeless summer and so parents are more willing to buy fun shape food than they used to be. Especially because kids are eating at home much more than they usually would be. And then the second thing. Young adults during the pandemic companies told me that young adults wanted the comfort of nostalgia or a little bit of quirky fun. And they have been by more dinosaur shape nuggets and other shapes as well and so between the trending folk and the children's set dino or nuggets. Another shape are on the right. Tell us about how these companies actually come to settle on these shapes and the kind of trials that go to make them happen because the shapes are very identifiable but certain things are tough to do very pointy edges or tough to do things like that. Yes that's when. I knew that this story the wall street journal to do when i talked to the people inside the food companies. Who are in chart of what you say. Look like i learned about just how seriously they take the of the neck and back of t. rex or even the proportions of labonte onto sorus and the pride that they have getting the body versus the neck entail just right and so i just asked very brief questions and really gave the floor to smoke these food designers to tell me about how they achieved these shapes and then of course because dinosaur nuggets have been strong for some time other types of nuggets like cheese tops and potato tots as well those types of snacks have also started looking at novelty sleep and so i got to speak with farm-rich who talk to me about all of the consideration that went into making baby. Yoda's head exactly and they have to hold up. It has to withstand packaging and travel the flash freezing all of that stuff. Nobody wants broken pieces so it takes some time to get those shapes writing and i did see those cheesy potato tots the mandatory ones the baby. Yoda heads they do. Look pretty good. You know but the point years is always a thing to consider right and the marketing executive at farm-rich told me that they also are limited by the kansas. They're working on her cheese bites. Have to be right around an ounce big so that kids can eat them without eating them cut up because she told me that just ruins the experience and so getting the proportions of the head versus the pointy ears right and still stick to an ounce of cheese with something that took some time sales of frozen chicken nuggets. Were up eighteen percent in the year to july reaching about one point one billion dollars you mentioned farmers these fun nuggets as they call them. Make up a big proportion of what they sell. Yes exactly and Tyson told me their estimate. That seventy three million americans ate chicken nuggets in twenty twenty and so of course. This is a big category. It's glowing category. And so i think you know it's fair to say after talking to many nugget makers that We'll see more novelty shapes. Come out and that's also not easy just like they face all sorts of challenges trying to get a brontosaurus t. Rex stegosaurus. Those pointy bikes along. The back are not easy to do in a breaded form. I am waiting to see what other types of shapes will come out soon because everybody gets inspired by how fun they are. It's inspired people to make other things. Jewelries close christmas ornaments. That was that was a pretty fun when you talked woman who makes dino nugget earrings right. I mean if you really need a smile in the middle of your day go to at sea and just do a search for dinosaur it and you'll see every craft you can imagine in the dinosaur nuggets form a woman who makes earrings. She talked to me about how she carefully mold and bakes her clay earings in her oven and then she has a script blend of sand that she uses to bread this clay and get that just out of the oven look to them ellen byron reporter at the wall street journal. Thank you very much for joining us. Thanks was supposed to exhausted. By the ron johnson's and the tucker carlson's we're exhausted. By the margie taylor. Greens were exhausted by the right wing echo chamber that has been perpetuating misinformation around the vaccine and its efficacy and safety joining us. Now is ronnie ribbon health reporter at the new york times. Thanks for joining us running. Thank you for having me. We're seeing rising cases of covert out there right now mask. Mandates are starting to be implemented again vaccine mandates in certain form and fashion are starting to happen as we see these rise in cases and all of this stuff. We're also seeing something else. Rise the anger surrounding all of this and now this has been happening for some time. People on both sides of things people are angry at the unvaccinated for not doing it. The pandemic is ongoing. Still we should be close to ending this thing. But we're not getting closer. And as i said tensions continue to rise with all of this so ronnie you spoke to a lot of people about this. What are we seeing. Well we're seeing people who been back. Sedated are furious at the people who are not or refusing to get vaccinated which is a substantial number in our country. I asked him what you angry. No outrage people want their lives back. And they see these holdouts as blocking the way to normality back to normality and prolonging this and making it more painful and you have these people who are say. I'm making an individual choice. I'm not ready to make it. It's a personal choice but people have been vaccinated. Feel like it's not really just a personal choice because it has implications for society because when you get infected you pass this on to other people. We need to think about the collective good and so there's a lot of frustration a lot of frustration. Sometimes it turns out. It.

"The last month on this show practically every other nascar talking head. Show that gun. Talk about kyle larson but when you're on the kind of almost historic role. That he's on. You deserve all that chatter that you've got He came back off suspension from last year. And since then he has been tearing it up. I suspect at some point he passes denny hamlin in the regular season points. We'll grab those fifteen points for winning that regular season the kind of role that he's on now doesn't look like that. It's going to be slowing down this weekend. They head to nashville. Superspeedway army sadler. You've had some experience there. So let's see what the cup guys can do when they arrive. At one point one third mile concrete beast. Yes a tough racetrack. Doug it is country. However i never found it to be like concrete like you expect like at dover back in the day when i raised on it The the racing surface itself was a little bit rougher than say dover was a lot of cup drivers increase cheese and engineers some experience at that racetrack back in the day. Because it was a it was it was a place to go test in. A lot of people took advantage of that opportunity because back in the early days there was no cup racing at that track so a lot of teams went to shake cars down. Check breaks. do whatever But it is a difficult racetrack room into turn one a lot of lot of on these sides race strikes in lingerie tracks cup cars like dick that wide orchestra turn one in. You just don't have room for that kind of shallow injury in turn one. It used to be attractive to get grip so But a clean slate for everybody's gonna be the same for everybody trying to get a hold of that racetrack and i'm excited. That number one. That going back to nashville in a big way makes us to watch the race so you can get it figured out. Well that's an interesting question You know hermit who can get it figured out. Obviously this is a race track that the cup series hasn't raced onto there's no data to look back on the people are looking to make fantasy picks this weekend and things like that. But who do you think. I mean is it going to be the regular cast of characters. That are always good because they're just great race car drivers that we can expect to see upfront. Or what do you think we might see once. We actually get you know in the race. Well maybe i look at things differently. But when you really don't know don't have any information to draw on. I just think you look at trends. Who's whose program is is good right now and obviously the hendrick program. Obviously kyle getting most of the headlines with that whole organization across the board. It's fast every week. All their cars are fast. Didn't like the balanced very well. They've got grip and let's not forget in. This gets overlooked a of time. I guess because the hoods are closed on these race cars a lot. But there's an alliance between hendrick in ecr engines that in my opinion. Ecr deserves a lot of credit for helping. Bring a lot to the table to heal the engine packages of these chevrolets. That's really helping him. Perform wheel so i don't have any data. I don't have any secrets. But i do right now. The hendrick cars are fast every time they let the tailgate down. So i say no different. You know this weekend. By the way at nashville superspeedway. It is not technically in nashville. It's about eighteen. Miles outside of town and alexis. You and i were in nashville a couple of years ago for the last nascar banquet whether it's nashville superspeedway. Or maybe that track that our company that we worked for speedway motorsports has helped manage the fairgrounds raceway. Which is practically downtown. That is such a hotbed for racing. At least it was when we were there for the last banquet. Well not only that but if you go to see any of the racing action at either one of those facilities. There's so many other things to do to while you're in town so it's such a great destination as far as fans are concerned to go. Take in racing. Go down to broadway and take in the sights. There i mean nashville is such a great You know travel town that. I highly highly suggest anybody that has the opportunity to go. Check it out if we go. Back to nashville. Hermes sadler needs to go with this because buried in his phone are cool numbers. Yeah that's right exactly exactly. We're gonna take you up on her. There'll be no videos. No you're gonna you're gonna laugh escape. Our phones ahead of time. I i think so. I think we might have the ultimate hookup here. All right you wanna go with a with a pick for national super speed. We have as you said no data. I'm not gonna kinda larson guy. Because look i mean. It is so hard to bet against him right now and with no no data. He's the one. He's the one that i've gone. I think the you know it's gonna come out of that stable. How their cars when they roll off are just better than everybody. Else's brad keselowski as we like to say and south bless his heart. "It really did. I mean obviously Yes i've no elios since Early in the The old iraq days jason ori- and I raised within there for a while. I remember sitting on pit road talking to him. And i'm like you know i'm sitting here in heaven 'cause i might do. This is a big fan. I'm a big fan of his. And you know i'm like i can't believe i'm sitting here talking to him. You know and through over the course of the years. I mean you know Racers keep up with racers right. I guess maybe it's like soap stars. Keep up the soap stars. your weekly weekday shows. I don't know but but as far as racers go. I mean and as far as it goes i was actually my wife and i were at the at the indianapolis five hundred and i sat there and watched intensely on the last lap waiting for him hoping for him to win again is a big fan and ho high tailed it to the airport and So so anyway. Yeah i mean Great guy also think that He adds so much just like everybody else. I mean everybody has a lot different ways but yeah he's such a such a neat guy. I mean the quick stories. I wrote america last year. Flew with him on the airplane and he was sitting there. And he's quiet. You know and then didn't say a whole lot. When i got to the racetrack you know just so friendly you know and i mean we all are but you know and i told him during the race. I said you know at one time you hit me. I couldn't see because you had your ring on. It was so much. I couldn't four-time indy. Five hundred winner so anyway fun guys and fun time but especially him. They could scrape for our sport. One of the coolest things about the format of s rx says that you guys do bring in the local kind of hero track champion Guy this weekend it was doug colby who is a six time nascar wheel and modified tour champion. He has thirty plus a feature. Wins at stafford. you know this is something you guys are gonna do every week. Are you guys a little worried. That you might. You might get beat by the by the local hero every single week. Yeah i i'm not gonna folk hero for any of this stuff so you think of You know they brought. I got blumquist coming this weekend. And they somebody else troubling remember. Yeah i remember and then you know we go to so. I don't know all the everybody yet. But i mean at same time. Course i r. o. r. p. is like going bring in you know so i mean it's exciting because you know as as far as we have benchmark of the old iraq series and i hate to go back to that even though i love jason little bit series but you know this is new and it and i think what rays done and obviously you know without mentioning. I mentioned tony in the decision making. I'm sure that he engraved come up with to To make this and bring guys like that. This really adds to it and you put in there too. I mean he's not running all the races but we saw how fast he was saturday night. And you know like like the kobe man. I've been paid attention to him for. Especially more this year. Run the modifies in like okay and we were wanting to take up there. Just a racist against guys like that but you know. They're obviously really good in their home at what they do and You know he won his first championship there in two thousand and you know obviously scott blumquist going forward and other guys you know. That's that's what they're doing their craft tracking You know it's hard to go to somebody's home. You know home field and and and outrun 'em a lot of time so yeah it's gonna be great. I think that's what really adds a different player to it than than say old days but Yeah should be should be cool interesting and fun and Challenge and like you said earlier. You put your helmet on. It's all fun and games puts her helmet on. And we saw that you saturday night. As well bobby. Obviously you've had a great career. Your stance speak for themselves. But i'm just curious you know in the last five or six years. You've been a part of the the tv where. I work with you a couple of years at fox. I'm just curious after you have done some work with tv and kind of seeing things from that perspective would have you learned. Has it changed your thought process. Now that you're getting back in race cars every now and again reysen did anything that you've seen. The tv side made a difference in the way you approach things inside the cockpit. Well i'll probably have more respect for you know being interviewed before beforehand. Somebody abra interviews like oh no energy and now on tv asking people questions. Like oh god. I hope you don't hope i do it on this. You know the hope. It's interesting enough. And you know. I think when i get back into racing and i kind of see as i mean i probably saw if you think of a pie you know. I'll probably probably eighty percent of the pie in this doing some fox sports stuff and be on race hub and doing some tv doing some race day shows on weekends and talking about racing and all that stuff. I mean i think it gives me one hundred percent perspective of a lot of different things and so when you get in the car i think it you know just you.

"We've been breaking down the action from the all star race this past weekend at texas motor speedway. Welcome back to fast talk. Doug rice alexis erickson hermes sadler and we're about to be joined now by a member of the nascar hall of fame. A pass nascar cup series champion and a regular contributor to the fox coverage of nascar and maybe more relevant to right now. He just finished fifth in the debut of the superstar racing experience. Thrilled to have bobby labonte with this. Bobby thanks for making time. Give us your impression of racing in this new series. That ray evan hammond tony stewart cooked up. Yeah well thanks for having me on doug and i do believe after you know watch louis the replay this morning and You know it's all said and done. I think it was a great product you know. I'm sure there's some tweaking that'll go on throughout. But overall you know ray and obviously tony raise work and everybody that works that a great job in preparing that many race cars you know that are you know so you know good equally prepared and you know i think it was just a you know a main anytime. You have something like that. You're you're you're waiting for something. But i don't think there's anything that really says we gotta make a big changes is. It really turned out pretty good. I thought and you know when you have a guy like kobe. That wins that his home track. I mean guys that you know you know have run thousands of racist. You can't beat a guy like that sometimes and You know a good show. I thought it was good overall. Bobby it seems like the biggest objective of the superstar racing experiences to be something new and exciting for the fans talk about the atmosphere At stafford speedway on saturday night. What what i could tell from. The cbs broadcast was That it was electric. Did you feel that. Oh absolutely You know my wife and i. We got there thursday Thursday afternoon and with practice on friday. We sat in the grandstands. Friday night watched a couple of races The the modified race and then You know. Just add up and turn one. And i it. It's really cool. i mean obviously. I've been doing some races on short tracks. And you know as ray said you know grassroots racing you got a guy like doug You know we're going to have those guys. You know local guys that are gonna raise throughout the series. And you know when you think about a sell out crowd. I mean sure. It doesn't hold one hundred fifty thousand. But i think electricity driver intro to make a couple of times i could. I could see the grandstands you know. I mean like like you a lot of times. You don't see let's stale. Her junior makes a pass. You see the grandstands kind of explode a little bit and So it was good to see that it was great. See that we had a great autograph session and I think all in all the electricity was there for it and it goes a great You know made for tv You know show. Bobby this is harming i. I really enjoy watching the race. And i know have been part of nothing exactly like that but when you have charity races or exhibition races everybody goes and they're laughing and smile and until the green flag drops in. Everybody wants to win. Everybody's competitive to you as a driver. And i saw all the used to head up there hasn't worked out between which crew chief was with which which driver in how much input in in in ability to change your that you have during the our practice. Yeah well Yeah for me. It was either. We i guess. They drew for who the drivers. They got drivers. So might being you know. I mean next week at miami somebody else but might being had myself and tony. Kahn and kobe and I mean we got we got. You know different than iraq series. You probably know this. You know the old iraq series we could. We'd never would practice r race car until you you'd start to race in a car. This dip in your practice right so this time we were able to go out there and run a few laps. I mean like. I say a few like eight laps right eight laps in and make an adjustment. I mean and justice for small. But everybody's got a little different You feel for it so whether it's a rubber in rubber out little little wedge out air pressure up or down really. That's all all that we were allowed to do And i mean it was great to see these guys that you know. Obviously i probably have a little advantage. You know a few others. That i've known him for years and so i know all of them were like a guy like qanon. He didn't know him. You know but all. I think you know the quality of drivers of cars crew chiefs every everybody like that made for. You know. we really didn't know who you know. It's not like we knew. I was going to get my name until you know friday saturday morning and We just talked about it and said hey you know i i was like hey. You got kobe. Let's do what he does with the he's probably the smartest one here in the best one. So you know we kinda duplicated add a little bit but yeah i mean. We're able to adjust audit critiques. Great to have that way. We can kind of talk about a little bit and have a conversation about it. Of course the other two crew chiefs that have kind of in brought off the bench. Where jeff hammond. And todd parrott bobby watching the introductions and a lot of the focus and it was an -able that elliott castro neves got so much attention. Did you know him prior to this race and bracing with a guy that practically just won the indy. Five hundred seemed like that added an extra touch to.

Friday night friday jeff hammond Kahn saturday night friday saturday morning todd parrott bobby next week fifth thursday Thursday afternoon one hundred fifty thousand Bobby Five hundred tony stewart eight laps kobe doug hermes sadler ray two crew chiefs

"Has always a big part of every sport. It's a huge part of the nascar universe and fox just completed their nascar cup series coverage. They'll still be covering the camping world truck series throughout the remainder of the year but as far as entity and cup fox hanging up the microphone and now they'll hand it off to nbc army. I'm going to start off with you. There could be big changes for fox next year. Adam stern and some other folks have reported. Jeff gordon's got to decide. Do i want to go over and be a bigger deal at hendrick motorsports possibly run that operation or start the evolution from rick. Hendrick to jeff gordon or do i continue on in the fox booth with mike joy and clipboard. Personally i don't think you can do both know. It's a conflict of interest really on all levels people that try to do both Partially no have any inside knowledge. Jeff in what he's thinking or really what. His options are all totally. I will say that this year is the is the most. I enjoyed jeff in the booth for fox. I think it had a lot to do with quite frankly Clint boyer When jeff i went in replacing darrell waltrip. I've just you know. Say what you want to about. Dr walter but i always particularly liked his personality in the freeness that he seem to be able to characterize things in the booze and i think it's far as i'm concerned jeff was a little bit tight To to start with and maybe it was just because of the change. It d-w but i really think this year having clinton booth really help jeff contact come out of shale a little bit in and be more open and honest and tree in the booze out think it made for better television this year so for that reason i think jeff obviously he can do whatever he wants. He'll be successful and either one But but i do think this year was was his best into booth by far it falls on concern and i think you're right on both counts. There really think the presence of clint boyer let him loosen up a little bit. Jeff is never been the bigger than life personality. He may be a bigger than life driver and superstar. But i really think this year. Let him come out. Alexis is an interesting quandary. If jeff decides okay. I'm going to go off and run hendrick motorsports and do that full time. Who are some candidates that you can come up with and hand that. Microphone off to well you know. I don't know people have noticed but fox for the entire season has been doing a little bit of an experiment probably You know testing out some voices in their xfinity series booth in their in their truck series because while you know obviously having drivers in their see. Who's comfortable with doing that. A lot of these guys are drivers that are going to be in their seats for a long time but still giving them the experience of doing that. Seeing who's good at it who has a knack for one name that always comes up is kevin harvick. I don't know what his plans are for the future. I don't necessarily see him retiring You know next year or anytime soon. But he's somebody who a lot of people have mentioned could step into that role in do it. Well right off the bat. And i think that's absolutely true You know when you have to think about people who will well with clint boyer You know he probably meshes well with everybody. Because it's clint boyer and he has this big personality. But you do have to think about those different roles and then. How long do we think mike. Joyce gonna do this for. I mean i don't i don't know that either so You know it's definitely something interesting to think about. But i think it's been in the cards for a really long time. The jeff gordon is going to be the heir apparent at hendrick motorsports. So i think this is just nab lucien of what was going to happen anyway. civil just kind of see how things go. I really think there's go ahead. Asthma say let's. Let's give one other shout at here. I think gets gets overlooked. And i'm like alexis. I dunno mike joy how long he'll be there. I think clinton has got a future there as long as he wants to. But larry mcreynolds needs to be back in the booth writing grain. He is great. I agree you've got a guy that knows this sport. And he's the only one that gives the viewers the backstory's the the strategies and things to look for in the got him in a boost. Somewhere and look i. I understand the the deal. With wounded put harvey and kessle laskey all the star power in the booth. But to me larry. Mack matt work with all these people for close to twenty years. And there's nobody that worked harder knows a sport more and relate to our fan base anymore lhermitte reynolds and i just don't see why they wouldn't win it wherever they could put him in the booth and using the whole race he's a he's a gym in my. That's a very very good catch there. Because larry was a part of that booth structure for a long time then they reorganized and moved him to an offsite studio. And no larry well enough that. I'm not speculating on this. I think he would love to get back to the race track and get back down in that garage. Start digging around for stories and you're right. I've had the pleasure of working with him. On some syndicated radio shows on serious. There is nobody that shows up more prepared with more notes than larry mcreynolds. That person does not exist in the motor sports world. Couple of other people if they don't go that route Bob to bonnie's coming on. I'd like to see. Bobby get auditioned for that role and maybe already a guy that works at fox jamie mcmurray if they want to go back to former drivers bobby's a past champion he. He has gotten more comfortable. Alexis behind the mic over years. And and jamie mcmurray. There's two names right there that they've already gotten the fold. That's a really great point. You know anybody that watches a nascar race. Hub has seen them throughout the season. And yeah i mean they're both great analysts and i think would be perfect for the booth. Should that be the way the fox wants to go. So we'll see and you know with all this chatter. Jeff gordon probably says you know i'm going to stick around and i'll be an executive later on probably is back in the booth next year but it's a lot of fun to speculate coming up a little bit later on the show. We'll catch up with bobby labonte. The superstar racing experience and we'll ask about.

jeff gordon Jeff kevin harvick Adam stern Clint boyer Jeff gordon lhermitte reynolds jeff larry mcreynolds next year Hendrick Joyce jamie mcmurray Bob darrell waltrip bobby mike walter two names both

"Nice to have you aboard on this edition of fast talk. I'm doug rice a little bit later on bobby. Labonte champion joins us to talk about the new s our series. That debuted this past weekend. But before we move on to talking with bobby. It's time for us to break down the good times and the bad times from this past weekend her we're going to defer to you here to start with You have a couple of good time. This past weekend's racing in a great in a race in texas my first good time. I've been back to the truck race. You know john hunter nemechek. Did something is really difficult for some race. Car drivers to do in that sometimes take a step back to maybe eventually take a couple of steps. Forty went from the cup series back to the truck series driving for kyle. Busch motor sports in winn number four of the season already driving. Kbm truck and he looks like to be the the odds on favorite for a championship in the truck series. But kudos to him for doing that and the other good time. Why were they less. Add one of our sponsors toyota win number two hundred and seven in the truck series. What run. It's been for toyota in that series. Now they've been caring it up and they scored another significant win when kyle busch won the Xfinity race on saturday. So toyota had a nice run down there at texas motor speedway. Alexis your term for good time. Well you took the words right out of my mouth because my first time is bush getting win number ninety nine in the expanded series. Which when you think about it Incredible that he's gotten that far and our brett Mcmellon got to talk to him in victory lane and asked him. You know before you had mentioned if you got to a hundred you going to hang up your hat and you weren't gonna raise an xfinity series and he said well you know. Joe might have talked me into running next year too so it looks like we're going to get more kabul and i know people have their opinions on cup drivers racing in these lower level series especially call bush because usually when he's in the race he's definitely the one to beat but there are arguments for why it makes that series stronger and and i agree with a lot of those. So i'm glad to hear that you know kabua's will be back in the series in a limited capacity in twenty twenty two and i'll be interested to see you know. He's racing again this weekend and expanding series. Well he get number one hundred this weekend. I don't know we'll just have to wait and see and then my second. Good time is. I mentioned it a little bit earlier. chase elliott's crew getting recognition on pit road for being the fastest pit crew in the all star race we used to do pit crew competitions and all of those things around all star weekend and. I think that that's great. I think it's wonderful to recognize those team members that maybe don't get recognized a lot and i just thought that this was kind of clever way to integrate into the race itself But also give them kudos for being the fastest pit road so good times and bad times by the way at this juncture. I think it's appropriate to mention a pretty good guy eddie. Gossage twenty five years at the helm of texas motor speedway. This was his final race weekend there as president and general manager and he got a nice big sendoff. I got the pleasure to mc his a goodbye celebration at t s and they did a lot of cool things yesterday at the conclusion of the race. And it's been a good time for twenty five years. Texas motor speedway going over to the side of the ledger. Army sadler bad times from this past weekend. Well really the biggest one that stood out for me. It has for the most part for most of this season is is kevin harvick Just been mystery to me. Normally when you throw new things out or when there's obstacles to climb or thanks to figure out kevin harvick rodney. Children are the first ones to get it done. And they just seem to be off their game a little bit and they have spurts when they seem to have speed but not the long term ability to to run a complete in his nickname was the closer and you know they. They just don't seem to be bedding. You know a thousand right now. So my time is kevin harvard. Not only this weekend but moving forward you keep an eye on the race team because when you look at who could potentially threaten or or whether it be carl larson or chase elliott or looks like the hendrick group number one in others maybe one a. It's really hard to close the door. Kevin harvick but they just don't like they have it right now though so far this year. That closure has been closed out. That's for certain alexis. Yeah i would definitely agree with her me there in another person that i thought yesterday You know we didn't hear about at all. And i was really surprised if somebody who had tab at the beginning of the season or you know into the season a little bit as maybe being the favourite and that's obviously before collar went on his tear. But that's martin treks junior. I really expected more out of him and his team yesterday Unfortunately we didn't talk about or hear them very much because they didn't really do very much so That was a little bit surprising to me. And then i also wanna throw a you know a little tip of the hat over to daniels whereas in that team 'cause they got taken out really early in the open and didn't really get an opportunity to even race for the chance to to be an all star race so that was unfortunate for that team so those are good times and bad times when we come back the fox network just wrapped up their coverage of the nascar series. It's now handing the baton over. Nbc could be big changes at fox. Next year we'll chat about that and other news and a little bit later on. Bobby labonte joins us here on fast talk seal. We need to set up johnson's quarterly reviews. And now's investments keeps portfolios profitable but a double client base calls for double the advisers. Hello hi janet. I'm so sorry pulling up your portfolio right now can indeed can help them hire the people they need. I.

Kevin harvick Joe kevin harvard carl larson kevin harvick janet Bobby labonte saturday next year Texas yesterday Next year Nbc twenty five years kyle busch texas this year chase elliott toyota Forty

"I mean i'm i'm on the winning siva got a different view of it but like you know our team. Our overall hendrick motorsports is winning. So you're like when william i was pumped when alex got his couple of wins i've been pumped even you'll get beat by emmett over like i was excited for him when chase one at kota like i was in the position to win the race and the rain came out. I was still happy for him. And the team. So is long as our organization is winning. I'm cool with it. And so far i think we all ours. Well you know if we can keep running good and working together you will be. All four of us will be hard to beat. Yeah for sure definitely hard to be. And they are showing that You know every single week week in and week out. One of the interesting tidbits that i saw after the race was every single driver that has won. Multiple star races has gone on to win a championship. This larson second all star race win. So what does he think about the fact that now. That could be a little bit of a telling sign for what's yet to come. This season races are hard win and championships or even harder to win so We just gotta keep working really hard year. This is definitely the best opportunity. I've ever had to be a win a championship But they're still a long season laughed and in other cars and teams are going to get better in so we just gotta keep working hard and hopefully we can have ourselves in position. Come october november her. That kind of poses the question to me. Is there a fear that maybe this team is peaking too soon. Will you always have that fear when you're dominating like they are at this time of year because the reason things are different these days elected as we've talked about what's really going to matter this team now is how will they be the last race of the season. They gonna get a lot of points lot of stage points. A lot of you have a great opportunity. If they keep executing you know to make it to the final four in the question's gonna be is not going to be. How good was he in june and july. It's going to be where all day when they get to the final race. They do have the fact that you know chase was so good at phoenix stuck to close out the season last year. And obviously you know. As i said before kyle larson is just a. He's just a difference maker and But but you do worry about that. You wanna make sure that you've got things going in right direction. Big moe as we call you know in a lot of big time sports momentum you wanna have that at the right time and they certainly have it right now in for them i know. They hope they keep it going on. There's a saying in racing as they refer to people as racers meaning. They only care about what happens out on the race track. Their life is built around race. Cars and the action. And that exemplifies. Kyle larson on twitter. Jamie little the fox reporter posted a picture of kyle larson the all too familiar shuttle bus at the dallas fort worth airport heading off to ohio for three days of dirt. Track racing keep in mind. This is a guy that less than a month ago. Won the coca cola. Six hundred jumped on a commercial airliner in coach. He's like six rows ahead of me to fly to california to race at cinema. Then shows up in texas wins again and now he's on another commercial flight headed off to some dirt track action for the week. Before we get ready to go to nashville superspeedway and i think alexis. That's part of the key to his massive popularity. One you win you become very popular too. I think a lot of people empathized with him and have met him in all of his journeys to these hundreds and thousands of dirt tracks and short tracks. He's raced on yeah. I think you're absolutely correct. I mean i've heard a few times. Recently people refer to him as the people's champ. And i think all of those things that you mentioned are why he has been kind of coined that You know going off to these dirt tracks and mingling with the locals and being part of his souvenir haller when they come to buy his t shirts and Things of that nature are certainly something that is going to resonate with everyday people. I also find it interesting. Somebody mentioned the fact that after the race was over yesterday. They asked him what he was going to do with his big check of a million dollars he said i'm just going to save it. I mean you know just practical just gonna save it. So i think things like that Certainly resonate with a lot of people in everything he's been through off the track and getting back on the track to lexuses. Point makes him relatable everyday americans. We all have issues. we all have struggles. We all have bad things happen. And he is really made a positive out of a bunch of negatives he could've approaches thing in in many different ways but he kept his nose down he stayed at work erased where he could raise stay relevant and he has come back with a vengeance and i think a lot of our hardcore race fans always ask for somebody that they can relate to and i think a lot of us everyday americans in race fans can relate to kyle larson. I think that's a big part of his popularity. Our show is brought to.

"Republic or at least until the next convention like it would be crazy for them not to send them and then every state you can pass laws trying to bind their delegates to vote for certain things But the big question among legal scholars has been whether or not state laws binding delegates for a federal convention is actually binding so like the would be that like you. Send your delegates from new york. And they're going to push for the abolition or destruction of the second amendment but then they could actually go the other way when they get to the convention because they're free and that's why this is kind of scary to me because i've heard this talked about for a long time conservatives. Have this fantasy that the only thing that's going to happen at an article five convention is going to be a balanced budget amendment. But i feel like you say that all of the pushback that i've heard on on twitter and and people tend to be extremely comfortable with pushback on twitter from conservatives it tends to be from conservatives because and this could be just because People aren't you know aren't aware of the of the process of Of of amending the constitution. But i hear consistently no. We don't wanna do that. But california new york will get rid of the second amendment et cetera et cetera et cetera. The list of endorsements for the article five convention. I was just looking at it yesterday at one of the convention in the states. It's just like every conservative celebrity. That i could find. It's like mark levin. Sarah palin sean hannity charlie kirk rhonda's scientists groups the heritage foundation has cautioned against exactly so just the academic classes. Maybe like a little bit more wary of it. Well i guess to hone in on some of these concerns phil what would stop this from. Turn say say balanced budget amendment is the point of the convention. I think all of us would be down that but what's to stop it from turning into a runaway convention where all of a sudden the fourth amendment is up for debate. The first amendment is up for debate. The senate is up for debate. What's to stop. That don't know. I don't know i i had i've seen A few people discussing it. But i haven't looked in to the arguments for and against Whether or not running runaway debate would happen well enough to comment on them. So that's something that i don't want to dip my toes into without having more more information about About what it is that people think indicates that it would be would not be a runaway convention. I think that that kind of the principle of the matter whether or not it should be done. it's risky. It could go very badly for all sorts of different constitutional rights that we currently hold near and dear it could also make really smart reforms to the way that government works for example. There's one left group. Progressive group called wolf pack. That they have all these different sort of wishlist items..

Can Tampa Bay Win A Second Straight Super Bowl

"Well in just his first season with the team brady has already brought a title to tampa buccaneers controlled. Much of last night's thirty one to nine super bowl win and brady is poised to keep winning saying after the game quote. We're coming back. You know that we do know it. And i personally love it shared. And how do you feel about is brady. Started his second dynasty in tampa skip out of his tour to detail. And if you made me say yes to say no. There's a reason why no team had repeated and sixteen years because it's hard to do and you see. Injuries are big part of this. So because we saw what happened to chiefs offensive line. They lose basically three starters and they're not the same team that they took to the super bowl the previous year. They're not even the same super bowl that would that finish the afc championship game. So injuries player key role in And plus a lot of things have to go well the injuries during the course of the season. I don't believe the pandemic. I think we're getting more and more vaccines arm and President biden was talking about last night. Say i expect the pike house for super bowl fifty six. Hopefully that's the case. Where is so fi here. Oh you're be out. I thought i'd be right over luma and plus get if you think about it. They got shack bags. A free agent. Labonte david i believe. They bite price themselves out of contracts tampa although they might be willing to take less money to come back to people. It's with jack man. Considering that he was an undrafted free agent and leave any money on the table of. Aren't they david that might be something dominant. So leonard fournette and tonio brown gronk. I believe a couple of those guys you can get back on the cheap but skipped the only have thirty guys on the contract for next year. The next is a that is forty two in the nfl their fifty three man roster only thirty the contract So who comes. Who goes is so hard to repeat because the turnover is so great now what we know right now for the most part. All the coaches are coming back. Tob old didn't get a job by relent. We didn't get a job and so for what we can see right. Now get the coaching staff. We'll be back in full. There was some speculation. That bruce arians if they won this one would would see the the head coaching to talk balls and maybe either being the background or walk into the sunset. I think this was such a headache experience for him at his age. He'd say i gotta take another shot. Hey could you remember. Meal did that and he later regretted he came. Back out of retirement ended up coaching kansas city. Yeah because he felt he made a decision out of emotion. That was the wrong decision. So maybe a fist back a couple of months but it's hard to repeat. There's a reason why there have only been in an full of teams now in the last thirty years. That's ever done it because it's so hard to cobb was dated. We did it and the patriots did it.

Palestinians trapped in coercive environment, says UN rights official

"This is loose. Graffiti of UN news, many Palestinians, living under his rarely occupation suffer from a course of environment were settlements expansion has made people's lives. So unbearable that they feel pressured to move according to a top u n official there James Heenan, head of the UN human rights office in the occupied Palestinian territory said that permits for building in the West Bank were almost non-existent now for Palestinians, speaking to Reema Bauza of UN news in Jerusalem. Mr. Heenan explains the challenges Palestinians routinely face today in the West Bank and east Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip was buying and then he's truce Lamon Gaza will have their own different types of human rights challenges. But some of the challenges of calling across the whole area. One is use of force another is freedom of movement. Another is the way in which space society and human rights defenders dramatically, and if we talked specifically about Gaza, what are the issues that were you the most widely the buzz is really hope for the population Gazans feel and are under pressure from old photos at the moment, they are suffering from an eleven year blockade and closures imposed by Israel. They suffering essentially also under the split between the West Bank and Gaza, the political split and the the factor thirties in Gaza, Mike loss, very hard for a number of people, including human rights defenders for us. The concern for Gaza is all about. Allowing people to have an adequate standard of living, which is a human rod under the ICCPR international could covenant uncivil political rights and towards that end. The UN is working tool to humanitarian response to what's going on in Gaza. Ultimately, of course, it's a political problem humanitarian, what are the other human rights challenges specific to the West Bank and east Jerusalem at the moment, the biggest human rods challenges are generated by settlements the expansion of settlements. And we produced two reports a year on this. In and of itself creates a number of human rights violations. So for example, severance themselves are violations of international, we know that. But when you establish a settlement in areas c in the West Bank, he generally brings populations into proximity brings a settlers into proximity with the local Palestinians, and we know that that proximity generates things like settle of items the take over of land blocking the freedom of movement. The Palestinians nearby things like the blocking of access to services for Palestinians nearby. So the settlement enterprises people call it doesn't just have a problem with the Silverton themselves, but the impact on human rights. The biggest thing that's happening. Most recently is what we call the environment where you have a desire to move, Tulsa and communities for the purposes of settlement expansion or creation. What's happened at the long pass? I communities would have just been forcibly moved. Now. What's happening is those communities are put on the enormous pressure. So feel I have no choice but to move, and that's what we call. The course environment. This comes from the jury's prudence of you hate Trump troubles on the former Yugoslavia this idea that you can make lifestyle bearable for people through combination factors. They feel they have to. So for example, if you have a community near settlement sky to expand they can be subject to settle labontes. They can be subject to demolitions. So they cannot build in the West Bank term ability in the West Bank. But I'll sit ins are almost nonexistent. So any expansion they come undertake the young people get married. They can't start the village because there's no it to live. They can't expect access to services are blocked a firing zone can be declared by military nearby, which will mean that they can't access they land. And it can also mean that there is actual live far near the village which is dangerous last year. We had a sixteen year old boy killed by unexploded ordinance of this in the field. A combination of all of these factors all of which are human rights violations as well. Jen at their base makes life extremely difficult for people, and you see that people are leaving because of this. We know type in the West Bank of people on the huge amount of pressure to leave, and we know cases in Hebron where families of decided to move. Now each case has to be looked at all it's merits businesses, very serious mental. And the thing is Palestinians have a very very strong resilience. So they don't move easily. But it doesn't mean that the pressure is not there for them to move. And we're concerned I'm concerned that saw these communities will feel they have to move at some point. We'll talk about the courts environment. What does your office do on that issue? We have not see role an illegal role. Yeah. I think the office has been instrumental in bringing together this idea and making sure that there's a common understanding about what environments based on the jurisprudence of into. National tribunals, we track the quiz environment that patents to see what's happening through the violence. Not just the instances of settler violence. But also, the trends, and we analyze trends, and we publish them. We are mandated by the UN to be public about these things. What is the final message would like to express? I think the involvement globally. Is not supportive of human rights to seem to be. Since some places ideology, the pasta or system in the past. And you hear a lot said about that these days, but as Kofi man once said, it's not it's not people who so human rights is relevant. It's usually governments he said even real and for us. It's more relevant than ever that not just our office. But everyone stands up for human rights because the car is very very worrying.
