Will Brighton qualify with Bryson qualifying for European competition next season? Have any sort of sway gaining or retaining star players? What's that mean? So it means will they be able to keep the likes of mcallister, can I say that because they can promise some European football? What do you think Shaq? I think we stop it as we want to move on. Your strength on the area is hot. "And like I said, it's in La Liga's best interest because like you say, if they are looking to complete with the Premier League, they're looking to grow the league as a global product. And you can not do that. If your brand is tainted by association with racism, that's absolutely toxic for any brand, but they can't allow that to continue. Just to go back to the idea of teams walking off the pitch, I think it would be an incredibly powerful statement if a team like Real Madrid did that. The Real Madrid players were ready to do that at messiah. Thibaut Courtois said after the game, it finishes had said he didn't want to carry on. He wanted to go off. We would have all supported him in that, but it's just initially said that he didn't want to carry on playing. But then after discussions with Ancelotti with the referee decided to carry on. But yeah, there is too much responsibility really being placed on the players and in particular on the victim here, which has been issued because as I say, the reason all this has become such a big story is because Vinicius was brave enough to stand up and call these fans out. That's the only reason that this was brought to the referees attention on the night. And that's the difficulty I think for referees as well, because in a lot of these cases, we've finished use. We're not talking necessarily about mass chanting from a huge body of fans inside the stadium that a referee would necessarily hear or be made aware of in quite a number of these cases. It's relatively at least what we have documented relatively small numbers of fans and this racist chanting being picked up by pitchside microphones and things like that. And the referee might even not necessarily be aware of it at the moment. And so in the moment. And so if that's the case, there's no opportunity to put into place these anti racism protocols that we're talking about. And what they're obviously looking forward, there needs to be some sort of self policing as well, isn't it amongst the fans? Yes, of course. And that's part of the problem because as long as these fans feel comfortable standing there among their own fans and doing monkey chants or calling Vinicius a monkey and clearly they feel comfortable enough to do that, they're doing that. Then it's not going to change. At the same time, I think it's difficult for the other fans around and of course in either world you want the fans to challenge this behavior and to call it out. But that's also not an easy thing necessarily to do in these kind of circumstances. Of course, that's the ideal scenario. But in a lot of these situations, I think it would be quite you can imagine putting yourself in that situation that might be kind of difficult and you wouldn't quite know what to do or how to handle it. So yes, of course, self pleasing is the idea. And you'd like to think that a lot of these fans would be would be called out. But like I said, being based here in Spain, there isn't the awareness of issues of race that you would see in other countries and that you would like to see in it. And it's definitely something that needs to change to. Alex, thank you very much for your time. Mark, thank you for joining us. We'll be back with us on extra time. "There's a couple of things about this and infantino's treatment. First of all, what of infantino earliest acts as FIFA president was a disband the anti racism task force. If he fired anti racism task force. So that kind of clearly showed what his thinking was that those systems that were in place back then were good enough and didn't warrant revisiting. I think the issues are far deeper than just leaving those issues and please. But it kind of signaled his intentions as FIFA president to kind of steer clear of this. To your point, those issues are not working. And we can hide behind, we can hide behind protocols as much as much as we want. But every evidence has shown that owes issues are not having an impact, then you have to revisit. Then you have to come up with new protocols. But again, without that racism task force without any revisiting of those protocols, we're going to have the same issues, the same problems, the same in action. And the same football administrators hiding behind some kind of force facade that, again, continues to feel black players continues to feel football at large. I want one welcome in former Premier League referee, Mark clattenburg, it is with us. Mark, how much pressure is there on referees to act in these situations and should it be down to the officials or do they need help? We of course are always going to need help done. I think everybody has a role to play in this. I looked at infantino statement. This three point brought a color has always been in place. It was in place when I was a referee with UEFA and you went from a very strong and the said that as a referee, we have a responsibility that if we have a player that is racially abused or we hear racial chance inside the stadium, we follow the three point protocol, we saw games where there was a suspension for a few minutes. And we don't want to say teams walk off the pitch. We want to see great football. However, everybody has a part to play in this. And I think referees also have to be strong that if this is multiple times in spin, then the Spanish referees and the associations need to be strong and follow a plan that everybody accepts and if the match gets suspended or canceled, then this is probably the only way we can stop it. How do you handle it, Shaq? Who do you give the responsibility to? Because it's a lot to ask for the players. It's a lot to ask for the referees. I think we'll obviously the primary responsibility is to La Liga, but they are shared that responsibility. I continue to believe that FIFA as a world governing body have to have a more significance to have a more significant sea around protocols and how leagues outside to manage incidents such as this. Their responsibility goes far further than just the World Cup. They have to send down direction and whether that direction comes street from them to La Liga or goes through UEFA to choose your path. As well, have to let it be known that unless there is a significant action taken in this league, then La Liga will face some sanction from them as well, whether it's a suspension of club participating, beating the Champions League or Europa League or whatever it may be. A reduction of numbers of clubs that qualify for those competitions, they have they have tools at their disposal that they can also use because this reflects just as badly on your wafer. La Liga and Spanish football are member associations of UEFA. They are the governing body. They are the parent to this. They have as much a reason to see this dealt with an appropriate manner. But while free from fails, while you're waiting for fields, while La Liga feels, it's left to the players, and as I said yesterday, I never advocate for the primary response to be for players to walk off the field. But if all those institutions continue to fail the game as they have, the players will be left with no other choice. And until the idea may be when a Real Madrid or Barcelona or some club of the short walks off the field and refuses to come back on, except whatever punishment comes and may exist into a real domestic issue for them. A bigger domestic issue than it is right now, the continue to see this lack of action. Right now is becoming a bigger global issue that I think tibas and La Liga recognizes. It needs to hit home close to home. I agree with a 100% if the larger governing bodies are not going to intervene, then I'm going to leave it to La Liga. And capable are unwilling, whichever one path you want to go down to deal with us, I think it becomes incumbent on an occasion the players employer. Real Madrid to protect the player or players, I Shaq said when we don't like to see it, but walking off the field are indeed coming up again and refusing to play. And getting back on the bus and leaving. There is no game. Now, I know those consequences are not as relegation battles. I know those other things. But they're less important at this moment in time than the problems that these particular players are facing. And ultimately, Venetian junior is an employee of Real Madrid. And has bosses if nobody else is doing anything about it, it really has to protect him and others who are facing this. If not the oxygen is going to do it. Yeah, the clock has to do it themselves. And until such a time that rattles the cage's properly of those need to make better decisions, I think we're just going to be having the same conversation be it at the end of this season, which is Shaq mentioned, there's not far away and there's everything is brushed under the carpet and we roll out next year for the La Liga season again. Do you think this is going to go away? It's not. It's not. Alex, obviously, the La Liga is competing with the Premier League. If you like, how conscious are those in Spain and those are around the league, are they of this situation dragging them down and down and just affecting their reputation going forward? I think if they weren't aware before they are certainly aware now because, like I said, the kind of global scale of this particular story and this issue. Surely has to drive it home.

"Within the game and finish this is all of those. Show hands hands hands the attacks won't stop. My concern here in going forward is that the league simply won't do enough. There won't be any impetus Spanish for boys or three games away from the end of the season. We lose momentum once this season is over. As a result, come August, these issues will be long forgotten. We'll be discussing transfers and new signings and whose favorite to win the league and Champions League. And the underlying issues will remain will continue to do as he has and deny in the way that he has. And to one of the earlier questions Dana about. The reporting of these incidents and while they've been 9 official reports 8 of those from Venetians. Junior, what's my motivation to find a report at this point? Every single other report are filed as warranted as see nothing happened. Even when I haven't filed a report and the abuse is there for everybody to see as it was against Valencia. Nothing is done. The referee stopped the game for the announcement over the tannoy to stop rhesus chanting, but in his report spoke about articles being thrown onto the pitch. So you can't even trust the referee to accurately report racist abuse when it happens. So what's the point? If I'm finished as junior, what is the point of me filing an official complete? So tavas can hide behind that and it sounds being tight. At some point, either the legal act, you wait for us to step in or FIFA, I'll be honest, I don't trust UE four FIFA themselves. I think they are happy to take as wider booth of this as they possibly can. And SpongeBob will continue to kind of drag itself down. Up until Real Madrid or Barcelona simply walk off the field and refuse to take part and forcefully into taking meaningful action, we just keep having these same conversations, we'll keep hearing this same diatribe from tebas. And we will just keep having to feel sorry for finishing his junior while he confronts an issue that is a whole lot bigger than him. Kusama venetta junior is a long line of stars that have come from a South America. How much does the treatment that he has received since playing for real Madrid? It's certainly over the last couple of seasons. I'm going to put people off. Put those young black stars coming over from Brazil or Argentina, how much is going to make them second guess going to play in Spain and maybe head elsewhere? For sure, it will contribute because I start in Brazil. And this is one of the best Brazilian players. Maybe the best Brazilian player at this moment is a star for the Brazilian national team. He was a star playing for Flamengo the most the club with more fans in Brazil. So everything that is happening, it will have consequences in the future. For sure. And the niches is very, very upset about everything that is happening about the treatment that has received from the referees. I can give an example also, for example, venetus has received this season 16 yellow cards, only one yellow card, was outside his pain. All the 15 yellow cards were here in Spain in La Liga and Coppola revin is very, very upset about his treatment in the fields of Spain. The problem with La Liga is that La Liga insists to act to say that they are not racist. And when they shoot against the races, who are in La Liga and Denise's know that everybody knows that, but Javier devas, it seems that he really doesn't know that. But as I told you, we need to does it want to live real madly. He wants to stay here and fight against races, but his real at his elite. What was striking Alex from these videos that we saw was almost the arrogance of it. The people were posting this on social media and knowing there wasn't really going to be any repercussions because well, why would they? Because they've got away with it for so long. Yeah, I mean, there is an issue with racism here in Spain. It can be quite shocking, I think, for some of us who come from another country and come and live in Spain and you see it in day to day life. There is an ignorance around issues of race and one of the places that that's expressed is within football stadiums. Like I said, that of course is a much bigger issue that who knows how long that takes to be addressed, but we can, surely, tackle what happens inside football stadiums. But yes, it's a bit of a vicious cycle in the sense that some of these fans, it's not any kind of justification whatsoever. It's completely unjustifiable, but they will see it as an attempt to wind up the player. They will see it as an intent to incite Vinicius to then to lose his head or to get sent off as happened here at messiah. So maybe that's part of the motivation. It's hard to say, it's hard to get inside these people's heads. But yes, there's undoubtedly, I mean, when you look at this footage, it's shocking, it's distressing. It's upsetting. And when you see the quantity of the number of these videos, not just in this game of messiah, but these incidents over the course of the last year or so in Venice just put out this video on social media this evening kind of compiling incident after and after using footage from all of these different stadiums all over Spain of the racist abuse that he's suffered. It breaks your heart really to see a young player having to go through this and I think it's really it's pretty remarkable that he's managed to kind of deal with it as well as he has given that circumstance. Shaka mentioned FIFA infantino took to Instagram to pass his sympathies. I suppose a long to Venice, but he also said this is why we need to implement these three sets first. So you stop the match, you announce it secondly, the players leave the pitch and the speaker announces that if the attack continue the match will be suspended, the match restarts and then thirdly, if the attack continue, the match will stop and the three points will go to the opponent. Shaq at this clearly isn't working. There's a couple of things about this and infantino's treatment. First of all, what of infantino earliest acts as FIFA president was a disband

"So some clubs are taking action. But like I say, this keeps happening. And yes, it's a bigger problem, of course, it's a bigger problem about Spanish society and racism is an issue in Spain. But there's still more, I think, that football could be doing to control what it can control, which is what happens inside the stadiums. I think by Javier tebas is rhetorical loan. Multiple times his possession to me should be untenable. Now I presume he's got a boss or a committee or people who put him in place and the place that he's in. But this is a guy who gets a bee in his bonnet when other leagues spend money. And he perceives that to be outspending what has league and has teams and the teams within has organization can spend an lack of sporting integrity. He has a bean is born out about that. He has a bee in his bonnet and I remember when Barcelona having all the problems and the still working their way through it and they were bringing Lewandowski and he was out chairman about the potential signing of Lewandowski and her bustle and were going to be able to do this and they can't sign Lewandowski. You need to do this and they need to do that. He's very active. And all these other matters, but yet he will make a statement on all these races incidents, and as you say, they will pass on the relevant complaints and information to the legal authorities and the police for criminal prosecutions, but has league the governing body of these teams as doing nothing about it. Basically doing nothing about it. And I think that makes his possession and my view. Untenable when it's a bigger problem for other countries to be spending money. It's a bigger problem for teams within his league to be potentially out spending their budget. He's worried about that, but he's not worried about the continuous risk is problems that a lot of these players but particularly these Real Madrid players are particularly junior and I think Rodrigo's had some as well and I'm thinking about the air four G at one point a few months ago off a bridge and all that sort of stuff. Come on. Come on. We can not sit here and continually have the same conversation with the same outcome. It's just not fear on these players to have to. This is not the early 19th hundreds. It's not fear in these players to have to go through this scenario and the current climate 2023 that we're in. We should be in a situation where these things are just been dealt with in a much more proper manner than which they are. Not just not just through the criminal proceedings, but through the power that La Liga should have to bring some sanctions on the clubs and not allow the clubs themselves to say I will deal with this, but you worry about it. We've got it. And I just don't think, and I know every league is different. But I just do not think that is good enough or acceptable. And to that point, we've got to shock remember Alex, I just wanted to just talk about what La Liga have the power to do. Under someone who comes to criminal prosecution, that is out of their hands. That's what we talk about giving it to the authorities. But surely they could, for example, close a stand or they could deduct points for racist behavior or chuck you out of the Copa del Rey. Make a real statement. That's got nothing to do with criminal. That's to do with football. Isn't that? And surely they have the powers within them to do that. What ultimately leger is an association of the clubs that make it up and they can get together and decide to take the action that they want to take in terms of a partial stadium closures or stadium closures, other issues would fall under the competence of the Spanish football federations of something like the Copa del Rey that you mentioned. That's the Spanish football federation's competition. So that would be more problematic. But there are absolutely things that La Liga and the clubs could get together and decide to put into place. Of course, the issue for some of these clubs is do they really want to follow through on that and how drastic would the consequences be if they were really looking at stand closures or stadium closures with the clubs being willing to take that kind of drastic action. But the bottom line is the image of La Liga globally is being damaged so badly by this by discussions like this and similar discussions like this are happening on in the media all over the world right now. That damage is huge. And this could be happening with any player. And it would be serious if it was happening with any player. But it just happens that it's happening with the brightest young star in La Liga and maybe the most exciting player to watch in world football right now Vinicius junior. And so for the league as well, even just thinking about the league kind of own interests. Let alone sort of talk about kind of justice and what is right. They need to protect this star and this huge asset that they've got even in their own interests. Let alone anything else. And so like I say, maybe now and maybe this time we're going to see further steps being taken. But it's a difficult one and it's like there are some issues around exactly what they can do for ultimately. Yeah, the clubs and the league can get together. And if they wanted to, they could take much more drastic action for sure. How impressed are you Shaq with the way that Venetian junior is conducted himself over the last 24 hours? Incredibly. Listen, he's not on an easy position. It's a very difficult position for venetia's junior and one that he's trying to navigate. I'm doing so wonderfully well. I think to Alex's point, this recent abuse is targeted at the Venetians not just because of the club he represents, not just because of how bright a star he is, but because he's been so vocal about the issues. Racist will attack those players who call them out who are vocal about combating racism and seeing the authorities live up to their promise. Within the game and finish this is all of those. Show hands hands hands the attacks won't stop. My concern here in going forward

"From home. It's at goodness in and there's only one team with everything to play for. Yes. And it's never easy to get into the last day as a player and feeling those nerves of what you need to do, particularly in front of your home fans. But it has to be slightly easier when you look at the old possession and I just wonder whether Leicester, no matter what they do, and leads for that matter, it's going to be it's just not going to matter if the need to do in the last day. And I feel the bottom three is probably set. No. I mean, I've ever not to do that, get that job done against Bournemouth at home. That would be a real disaster. How will the atmosphere at Goodison compare to that of the San Siro, Don? It'll be better done, because I've been there in the last day of the season. I'm not sure Craig played in the Chelsea side, but beat Bolton in 98. I've done this a favor, but we played Coventry at 98 last night the season and we were petrified going into the game. The week before we got smashed against us on the famous Tony Adams goal, and our confidence massively, but we were relying on Chelsea beaten Bolton at Stanford bridge, which they done, but we needed to sort of better their results, we got a one lead, I think, after 25, 30 minutes Gareth Farrell scored the goal of his life. The atmosphere was rocking, and then at one nil, it was just the nerds were just getting shredded every couple of minutes. We were trying to look at the clock. You had no idea how to play the game, maybe think about you was like, keep holding the ball, but at the same time it was like, I don't want the ball case to make a mistake, so I help into the corner flag. Then Dion Dublin scored for Coventry, what about 15 minutes left on the clock? And again, we were petrified and then somehow we sort of got wind from the Goodison faith for that Chelsea had been bolted to nil. And we saw a Nick the one one drawer. We sort of done okay in the game, but it just terms of a nerf shred up. We got a one one and we stayed up on goal difference. It was incredible. I've seen the game back and many a time and it's a bizarre game to watch because it's like you're not watching. It's like you're not watching yourself because I think you're doing it on the pitch, you're just doing, you're just doing off the cough and you're just making things up and you're not really got any patterns of play. So in terms of the atmosphere down, the flares will be there before the game, I can remember my overriding experience with being on the coach. Pulling into Goodison and there must have been about 25, 30,000 fans on that particular street banging on the Windows, grown men, women, kids, and tears. Then you get to the final whistle and it's just like just a really real adrenaline sort of rush, but everything just sort of comes out your body and it's awful. It's horrible. Viewer and all that's done. That's done. We could actually make a movie. Are we in the Premier League? We're in the Premier League history channel here. Don't take this down. I remember, I'm not going to go in there. But I remember united and then the last day of the season. The week two weeks before the cop fail, Marc Stein scored late on and I remember the Chevy United players during the game. It's horrible, horrible situation to be in. But it's just something that is a player. You've got to handle, but I just don't think less than have been good enough all season. I mean, it's like saying, well, yeah. Let's run these for that matter. I mean, good grief. I mean, they could lose the Bournemouth and still stay up. I mean, that's how poor the bottom at least 5 have been in this league this season. And that's what grits me is all the money that these teams get from the Premier League, right? And that's more than any league in Europe. And the world, more than any league and they still manage to waste it on some of the most mediocre players and pay these guys an absolute fortune and then it's panic stations when they're about to go down to the championship because the recruitment has been terrible. And as one of the things I think that a lot of managers and clubs have just been really particularly down there is taking the Premier League millions and thrown a bunch of garbage and this is the scenario that you end up with. But yeah, I think everyone are going to be okay. Just for another year and I think unfortunately for them and Leicester City who have been dreadful SGS surprisingly dreadful are going to go and you say no. I worry about Everton. I mean, you talk about the fact on story. Do you want to hear it again? It will be a fantastic atmosphere, but you know what? It was a fantastic atmosphere the last three games they played in Goodison and they've lost them all. They lost four one to Newcastle and I was there that night and the place was going crazy before the game, but they lost and they lost against Manchester City. They even lost against Fulham at home. So Bournemouth are going to go there, I think, and they're going to play the season out to a finish. I think they've been terrific under Gary O'Neil. They get matches to united a proper argument at the weekend when they have nothing to play for. It's no formality at all that for Everton, though, I remember that one Craig was talking about cranky was 36 seconds from the end of the season that Steen got that goal that put shefford united down to show you, doesn't it? Yeah, I know. Oh, here he comes. There we go. Let's get into it. Oh, yes. I know exactly. Let's go focus on the other end of the table. Of course, we saw managed a city celebrating their third title in a row with a one zero victory. Is it Bobby George and this guy? I'm really it is that. Loving it. The celebrations afterwards. He was in the kitchen, cooking steak as well, along with the chefs. Early harland of course has been blocked past that since he made that move from Germany to England. Ian overall of all the teams that you've watched over the years, how close are Manchester City to be in the best in England? A pretty close up there. I mean, particularly the form they've been in in the last three months or so, where they just keep on reeling off win after win and blowing right on Madrid away in the way that they did last week. I mean, they hardly gave the European champions a kick of the ball. So they are absolutely sizzling at the moment. But you know, they've been a lot of good teams. It's very hard to compare eras because the game evolves as well. And the way Pep Guardiola is evolved it. But I play this Manchester City team. I mean, they're right up there in the argument, but he's right. Peps right, they've got to go and win the Champions League, I think, before we can bestow true greatness upon them. Oh, that's a lovely segue. Let's just confirm Pep Guardiola's quote, then shall we? To be considered one of the greatest scenes we have to win the Champions League, otherwise it's not complete. That seems fair Don. Yeah, yeah, I mean, he is a junior. I can't stand it on social media when people call him a checkbook manager. I think he's a genius for what he's done every way he's being a passer by and obviously at man city. That's a third time. He's won

"Eventually, as the bar supplies made their way into the dressing room, for more on this chemistry layer was pitch side for us. At the game, obviously Gemma, it's all quiet now for you. Just take us through what you saw, your perspective of it all. It was scary, then it was really scary. Cameraman, he said, and I were caught in the middle of this battle, and the truth is that it was a scary. We kind of were expecting it because there was a lot of security, the warning that this could happen there were meetings where they asked Barcelona players not to celebrate because the rivalry between espanol and Barcelona's huge clinching the La Liga title here and spaniel being in such a desperate situation to avoid relegation. It could be some incident, but the truth is because it was very scary because it was hundreds of funds, very angry, looking to hurt the players, the players were already inside. So just there was just some incident with security persons and thankfully there was no other thing we were able to talk to the players and they said that they run really fast insight and there was no other incident. They are going to celebrate it tomorrow with a huge parade in the streets of Barcelona with a bus. And then our next Saturday in the game before the game again, we also see that they will leave the trophy. It will be Sergio busquets himself, the captain who will leave the club at the end of the season who will be the person lifting that 27th laliga title. And Jim, as you mentioned, obviously, they were meetings ahead of this game. It wasn't difficult to foresee this actually happening. Why didn't we see stronger security more on the perimeter of the field to stop these fans getting on the pitch? That's a good question because we've been told the whole week and we have seen that that there was security rings outside the stadium in the pre game and it's true that the pregame was absolutely with no incident. And a lot of security. But then in the stadium, something failed, I think there was much more security than usual, but the truth is that also there was thousands of funds trying to get in the field. So I guess it's a mix of a failure of the security and maybe a lot of angry funds that wanted to hurt Barcelona players. Yeah, this seems, as you

"And how solid we are defensively. And we're going to make decisions in terms of how is it that we're going to defend and put an emphasis on defending, which hasn't been the case for Barcelona for years. Emphasis on defending. And you may say, oh, well, it's easy for you to say that now. No, no. You just watch them play and over the course of the season, we've been documenting. This is a team that takes pride in defending and look at the personality of a guy like Ronald and how much that permeates throughout that back line. A guy who takes a leadership role in the back line and takes bright for defending and takes pride in winning challenges. And now it's not so much how many goals we're scoring over there is how many goals we're keeping out from here. It's an adjustment. And it's one that I don't think it was ceasing for Chavez to make, but it was a necessary one and saying, guess what? We're going to have to win games one nothing. We're not all that productive over there. So we are going to have to win games one nothing. Does that look like a technicality? I don't care. This is how we're going to win. This is a personality of the group right now. And this is what's going to lead us to a title. That, I think, is important. Shall we was able to say, never mind my original plans, I need to adjust. That's what managing is all about. Who's paying the best player? And I don't think it's even close. Test taken has been excellent as well. But in terms of the turnaround of this team, if I'm looking at outstanding player over the course of the whole season, that the in struggle with injuries that was always there that was a consistent performer is thrown out. When he was called upon to take on Vinny junior, we've talked about this a lot. He did so with personality with character with speed with pace with quality. He has been their most consistent player over the course of the season and if I just mention that they want this title because they defended well and he has been their best defender. So there you go. Follow my logic, he has been their best player. There is do you agree? 100%, 100%, I think. And there were consistent. I think last year he wasn't consistent because of the injuries or it was in and out and then he was out of position, but this is with the confidential gaming. It looks like a linear at the back. And even changing position to play on the right side, never complained, playing the center, never complaining. And that shows that these player is going to be in Barcelona for quite a long time being the leader of the back four. Definitely one of the best players we are going to see probably one of the best ways of Louise obviously Barcelona being kings of the one nil on their road to win this La Liga title. How much patience with the fans have with that sort of style if it continues going into next season? You give me trophy in I'm not going to have complaints. The best thing, of course, when you want two or three trophy and the team is not playing well then I'm going to start complaining if we've seen it. I mean, the team of war dealer whistles into the stadium when they were winning two zero. They come now because people get used to win trophies and they wanted to see a nice game and dazzling performances and they want a goals but at the moment with the pass of three years of Barcelona where they are inconsistency, not having Civil War near route. I think that this year they didn't care. And for Chavez it was a learning process. Remember that this is the first time that is getting a big team managing big egos managing big players and needed to a little bit to adjust some things. Press conference, how I talk to the press, I would talk to my players, how I talk about the games. And I think that on the process, one nil has been a fantastic answer because it gave him the confidence to continue working to continue delivering. Today, I think it was a very good game. Dominant consistent goals. You have everything. The next year, I'm sure that the fans are not going to be giving that to javi. They will not want more. They want to have more let's call it nice football. Let's call it a philosophy of Barcelona the style of Barcelona that's what they are going to demand and are going to need to give it to them. Their highs, of course, La Liga, and the Spanish super copper lows. Copyright defeat, obviously at the camp now against reality. And the manner in which they went out in Europe. Yeah, and so when you look into the future and as to what shabby and this group of players or whatever the group of players, because we don't know exactly what this team is going to be next season, as you spin it forward, cop competition is going to be critical for shabby because it's not just this year. You go back to last year in Europa League last year in Champions League. Last year in Copa del Rey. So competition hasn't been all that great. And the way in which they went out to Real Madrid Coppola Rey was embarrassing. At the camp now, that performance, I think, left a very bitter taste in Chavez mouth. Now, of course, since you win the title, you're able to sweep these things under the rug and you say, hey, we're all celebrating. But you just asked about competition and you're not a Barcelona fan. Barcelona fans are going to be asking about co computation as well. Because even when in Europa League would not have been enough. But being eliminated in the manner in which you have been over the last couple of seasons and the fact that you were not even out of the group stays in Champions League, that I think are things that shall be going to have to address, but it's a much better place to address it when you're winning the title and you're the league champion than if you were basically a team that is struggling. And this is not a team that is struggling. This is a team that needs to find a personality in those club competitions and needs to figure out, okay, over the course of the season, we've been consistent. But in those moments in which we needed to get again, we need to get a win. We need to get our best performance away from home at home. We were not able to answer the call. Those are the things that I think this group of players and chat we are going to have to sort out when we think about them and success next season. We'll be discussing Barcelona a lot more later on in the show as we say thank you very much to Louis for his thoughts. Thank you very much, guys. So we'll be discussing those scenes that we saw at the end of the game in

And then this is what took place in the tunnel. Now busquets was hit. I think I'm trying to tell the police to sort this out. Then I said, at this point, I think if you're sitting here with kids and Marco Alonso, who seemed to be at the forefront, you have nothing to gain here. Go back to the locker room and go celebrate. Now, what they're asking for is, look, at the bare minimum, you should be able to protect the tunnel. Bare minimum. And that, I think, is what concerns the players. This should be a safe area. I say space for us and we have people running into the tunnel and there's no sense of security that the lines are breaking and nobody's taking responsibility. Nobody's taking control of the situation that the fans that have jumped on the field are the ones in control. That's the scary part in the concerning part of the plan. And we saw fans and we getting dragged out of the tunnel as well, who managed to get past the police barrier and were punching the tunnel that you saw the players going down into. More news and on this later on, so we focused on what happened in the game. Hey, hey. "Celebrating their institute rival are celebrating the title on their field. So those things you put together, you make all of that up and what you have is an explosive combination. So if you're a club, I guess panel, you should have seen this as a possibility. And so therefore, the security. And the people in charge of security should have been aware that, you know what, we have to be on our toes. We have to be in the lookout because the moment that you allow the fans to jump on the field, all sorts of possibilities open up and none of them are good. You have to protect the players. You can not account for the behavior of the players once again, jump on the field. You can not account for the behavior of the fans once they jump on the field. You lose control. And when you lose control, then things can get worse. It's the only thing I can say. They are going to get worse before they get better. Luis is incredible. So let's go see a joins us as well. When you just see that moment where you celebrate on the pitch and then suddenly they know something's wrong and they need to get out of there. Yeah, so we've got to say, Ken, I'm surprised that the ballet is probably the fastest way and he was just joking. I think that he wasn't even aware of what was happening. He was just following the rest of the players while a lot of supportive was trying to chase in them and I don't know what he could have any day couldn't get into the dressing room to the tunnel on time. I think the laser forwarder there. Police and the security of espanols who have been aware of that before, you know that when the time is, we've seen it also in Premier League when the time is almost arriving to the last minute. The security and the police are going all around the P to try to hold in any kind of things or ten years stage that can happen on a supported tried to jump into the beach. And that should have happened yes, maybe one, two minutes before the end of the game. So unfortunately, something that we don't want to see. There's only a bunch of them. We are not talking about all this manual fund. We have to say that it was around 102 hundred supports, but definitely very sad footage that we've seen right after the game. "Involved we arsenal, particularly the fans. Sure, this is a title when in team. And unfortunately, no, after all the games, you get to sit down and come to the realization that this is a good shade. But it's not the best team in the playing wheel league. But it's on its way. And the whole Arsenal fans can get over the fact that they're not going to win the table. But I'll tell you what, get behind Arteta and look to the summer and see what the outsource is going to do. Because arsenal have to add, they have to add quality. They have their competition, and if they do that, then they'll be even better and more ready for the final push come next season. Natum, as I said, is with us. As is Jules NATO, I'll come to you in a moment, but Jules, you are at the game, just take us through the atmosphere as it went on. Well, obviously a lot of disappointment at the end, Stevie, Stevie is right, the funds were disappointed after I just said it as well. I thought it was a masterclass from Brighton really from start to finish. They were outstanding. This was one of the best performances I've seen all season live in a stadium. They were that good, everything in possession out of possession, attacking transition, defensive transition. There were so, so good, especially in the second half and losing Martinelli after ten minutes didn't help fast and all those in. Didn't help either saliva, we know, of course, already. But they're just played against a team of activity. We said it was better than them and that happens. Maybe not to this degree. This is the first time I think even city were not that dominant against arsenal in the two wins that they had against them. This was just and you see the graphic with the with all the numbers now. I mean, they almost made twice the most amount of passive national did at the Emirates that was really bright and I was standing in the atmosphere was great at the beginning, even if city had worn earlier. We see I have a ton. And then the more the game went on, I think a lot of people within the stadium realized that there was just no, it was not a good day for us, and then that Brighton was simply too good. But again, I need to stress how good bright and well to then the way they prepared that game, Levi cordwell was almost man marking martino de gall every time arson were trying to play and build up from the back. The two fullbacks depend on one side, guys you know, on the other side, where amazing, coming inside, to be the awesome press, arsenal could never adapt to the way Britain were building up with the ball, and they were under pressure a lot in the way Brighton were pressing them. It was wonderful again, the best team wanted it. How much native have arsenal being the architects of their own downfall given that they've only won two of their last 7 matches? Nothing given the fact that some people saw that man city game that they played in and thought city are this world and so on and so forth, but the damage was done before that. And there was a point I think it was after a game week 29 where arsenal had an 8 point lead over man city. So even going to the Etihad as such, they were in a position where they could afford to still lose that game. And that's why people like myself still kind of favored arsenal, but it was you could say live for coming back at Anfield against arsenal's reasonable result, but then it's coming losing the two points when you're playing against West Ham. You've got the lead and you had a penalty to say your team further up. Dropping the points against Southampton. And all that culminates at a point, all that comes at a point where man city had just churning out the wins over and over and over and over. And before we know our city go from being 8 points back to potentially being 7 points clear, come this weekend is not a turn of events that I expected and it's a shame for arsenal because they've been so good for the majority of this season. But it just goes to show, you know, if you want to win a Premier League title, you've got to be in there at this point of the season and almost find some of your best form and really be able to push in. You just can't afford to be dropping the points and they've seen that. And it's a tough lesson for them. It's such a weird season because I thought they'd do well in Europa in the Europa League. I thought they'd make it to the final but that didn't happen. Gun knocks out the FA Cup by man city and come the end of the season. It's there that they might win nothing even though it's been one of the best seasons they've had in a very long time. So you can find positives and you'll look to build for the next season, but sold as every team in the Premier League. So as a consequence, I don't know what next season looks like for them. And then you're dropping points and city are being sitting. That's what happens when you play with the big boys and that's what arsenal need to realize and the players need to realize as well. You need a big squad. An arsenal just didn't have a big squad. And I think you look at brain. I mean, there's bring to say went from the fossil to the last at a hundred miles an hour. I mean, how they lasted is incredible. How did Everton beat them? Well, it's just football. But for arsenal, you got a lamb, you know? It's how you react. And Needham's great, we can go two ways. They could look at it and dwell on it and start next year with a hangover. They can push on them. So they need to push on. But it's also talking about pushing on, however, if you're going to try and play with the big boys, you've got to spend money like the big boys. Manchester City win the title, they bring in harland. Today is a second string team in quite a few positions, yet they go to Goodison. They beat Everton easily. I also going to have to spend a lot of money, aren't they? If they're going to really compete. Yes, and I think they will, I mean, we see that the man city starting 11 today without giving the brain without that greenish, for example, without another Silva who all three of

"Play quite as hard. They're not focused and all that sort of stuff. I just don't think they start games well enough at times when they think they're going to be able to play out from the back. And that's been their problem throughout the season. The other similar problem to Barcelona in a sense in legal battle on our handle not a little bit better than it is when teams really set in against them and as rob was said to start the game a little slower it then becomes a bit pedestrian. I think Liverpool was the perfect storm for them in some sense is that the game at one point was just so open and became open. And there's not many teams picking your, particularly with those players in the middle of the park. Luka Modrić and a piece of an issue and then the movement of Benzema, sometimes in La Liga when they've got that ten people behind the ball and it's difficult to find that space and they have to do a better job of it. And they're going to have a similar scenario in this Darby because unless things have changed in the last few days, are political Madrid ain't going to come out and play an open game. So they're going to have to find a different way that they found against Liverpool because Liverpool in the end will just so open. Let me tell you why Tony cross said about Vinny junior given what we saw. He's hopeless? He said he's already going to get better. How scary is that for defenders, Stevie? I mean, it's hard to try and picture how does he get better? Because right now, he's making great decisions, and that's whether that's whether it's 20 pass it, who to pass it to, went to finish, do I finish? Do I pick somebody out?

Who Will Take La Liga Glory?
"Row madrid. I thought severe played off the park in the first half playing without a without a recognised striker. This was a hangover. And is this another example of china that madrid never say die until the end quality that or just sheer dumb luck that they got the equaliser in in in in such a such a way. 'cause shot was definitely going out. I thought not talking watching severe. I was kind of brought to mind some of those performances from boss loaned kouadio la where just had the to just moved it and moved and moved and keep moving and it was the degree of control was was really quite something and watching up close because i was ever says well it was. It was very very striking the ease with which severe seemed to be able to control the game. It's true huge amount of challenge. But they were much much side although madrid did react in terms of your your question about is this real madrid. Always finding the life last night that they didn't win made me think well you know this talks didn't find a way for but actually if you look at the table and the way as now that nine minute goal from tiny crews redden has depending on who you're giving it to actually could be huge because it keeps row madrid's about boss alone them and it also puts it in a position now going into the final four games that yes the league titles athletic images hands but if not let's go produce much draw now it goes back into roman hands and obviously without that goal they would have needed outlets country to lose one of those games. They're not gonna win it and this is the reason why they're not going win. Think about the big games. This season the big moments in which you need athletic to really get a whole of the title to really say you know what we are worthy. A winning league got this year. And i go back to both of their matches against the the first one. That was embarrassing. How bad they were the second one in which they allow me to come back and tie game one. The LEGO Movie - Content Marketing Genius
"Back in two thousand fourteen. Lego kids building block company released a movie and in doing so. They effectively school. The rest of us on how content marketing should be done. Not only did this movie generate over four hundred million dollars in profits in. Its earn right. It boosted sales of lego products by over three and a half billion dollars with a b. And the reason it did that was not because it created a glorified add food the product that they were trying to sell in fact it worked for the exact opposite reason they set out to create entertainment and whilst most of us don't have the luxury of working for a brand is well known as something like lego. The principle still remains the same. When we create our content we should focus on trying to entertain too often. We try to sell all. We try to inform now informing in its own. Right is not a bad thing if that information is really truly interesting and valuable to app potential consumers but if you entertain you will get attention now you may not get three point six billion dollars worth of intelligent fair enough but still win creating your content think about how you can create something entertaining too often in fact most of the time the stuff that we create it's not entertaining. It's kinda boring. Might be informative. Yeah but that's also still a little bit boring so focused on creating entertainment. That is the key to a successful content marketing strategy. I la liga

European Super League: What It Means for UEFA, Other Leagues
"European soccer league. This was trending on sunday. Basically it's a league that's in the works that would take the best teams from the english. Premier league la liga. which is the spanish league syria. Which is the italian league in the bundesliga. The german league and had them play in a top tier superleague which would be like a season. Long uefa champions league rather than those teams playing their regular leagues the other teams. Just fight it out for the top spot. What does that do to the regular leagues. So critics say it's gonna kill the regular leagues does so well. This is the one positive is it gives leads a fighting chance to win the mvp l. Yeah le- ot that you take the six best teams from england out and lead susan like ninth place right now. The top of it yeah. They're finishing top of the table. So go ahead. I don't like hate on this from kids. That never made the all star team. I wanna see a super league owners of teams like maybe not leads but like fulham's or not on the all star team they're like oh we don't wanna be destitute. Don't lost about invited the playboy mansion right. it's like the teams in laliga. That only sell tickets when real madrid comes to town. Those are the teams. That really. don't want it all now. that's that's interesting point because the so many teams but like you take away. Barcelona and real madrid from laliga. That's fucked you take. You can really fuck some of these leagues. You take byron munich from this leaker you fuck them. Yeah that's that's tough but a lot of the good teams have already signed up and said that they're down to do it so happened. Advertisers her in the money's in the money the money's there the teams are in. Yeah it soccer. So that's a billion layers red tapes. I couldn't even begin to unravel it. The Introduction of Football to Spain
"Which i shall hereby refer to as football for the rest of the episode to appease my european listeners didn't originate in spain but it did arrive there rather quickly. In the late nineteenth century. Spanish workers and students who lived in england brought back with them. Centuries nineteen to the idea was floated to have a single elimination knockout tournament. In honor of the coronation of king alfonso the thirteenth. It was called the copa de la coronation. And it was won by a team from bilbao. Which was the precursor to athletic. Bilbao the current team. Which represents the city of bilbao the next year. Nineteen thousand three. The tournament was brought back. This time being called the copa del rey. Or the king's cup. The first two copa. Del rey's athletic. Bilbao today. Barcelona has won the cup. Thirty times with alec. Real Madrid win La Liga for 34th time
"Madrid are champions. Champions of Lollygag for a thirty four time this after they defeat be a real two to one. We're joined by Julian Iran and GAB MARCATTI JEWELS I'll start with you Real Madrid at the beginning of the restart. We said it was very likely they would have to win every single game to overtake Barcelona. They've done it and they've done it so easily clinched the league match still to be played. You're right and winds of ten, and there were two points behind boss, not when restarted Lalita. What six weeks ago, something and then they were just unstoppable. They may maybe not always the most. Pleasant towards attacking wise, but so efficient in both boxes so solid defensively. This is the best remedy defense for for the last thirty years, and that was always the plan from Sudan. Is Priority to win our league this season. He promised it. He delivered it and he did it in a very different way than the other titles before that club this this one was built on being very strong, defensively, being very well organized playing as a team and then relying on Wednesday march the goal. Benzene has been fantastic all season. And the defense has been fantastic or season to Wayne Gordon Veyron and says almost at the bag, the two full as well they've been. They've been pretty special I think and on these eleven heightened for eleven title in two hundred nine again. That's one i. told every Nineteen Games. He's putting credible down I don't believe you're all Madrid. Have trailed since the restart. How impressed with their? Performance. have been very good and I think even when people will flag up certain games where they got the rub of the green with with severe and whatnot by I agree with Jules, you look beyond that this is almost another level of around Madrid. It's almost as if when you think about it. The GALACTICO era is well and truly over in the sense that. Korean bedroom is tastic as he was he. He's an Galactico type as much as he is. A warrior hard hat tight you go through the team beaten hazard for most of the season Gareth Bale once again missing in action, other Michigan's on the bench. except for Tony Crows MoD modern as well off the bench a lot of the time we saw a lot of rotation. We saw a lot of grit. We saw a lot of efficiency we saw. I think aside of of Sedan, who previously was seen as just kind of like a a man manager, a guy who didn't necessarily get to involve not screw things up and just let the players play. We saw a guy who is actually very actively coaching when the injured guys came back. You've worked in back in and I. Think in some ways this might be the most satisfying. Of the of the titles that that's it down as one. Jewel so much has been made in recent days. Officials VR helping out Real Madrid even with your Barcelona ways. Will you discredit that argument here? Think, they were the best team all season really since the loss against my. Tober, I they. They've been on another level really in terms of. The results of course the way they were playing. Pretty much everything they did was almost perfect, and even with the pandemic and break they can by flying. As we said with those ten Wayne's, there were so well prepared far better prepare than boss or not folks up. What both fitness wise and tactically as well and I think Don deserves it off great. See Dan priority because he still feels that it doesn't get the credit deserves and what he did before in the past, lally, gainfully seventeen of research I'm visiting in a row that people never praised him enough really sort of our, but you've got Chris overnight. All you've got wet players and you've got a team that was winning before own that kind of stuff and I. Think this one for him will always be very special because he did it. Maybe as we sit in a very different way, but also him as a as a man as manager was very different, and the personal that you especially without Christianity was very different, and I think he will you take? I think far more prides in in many ways to of one this one especially considering that remedy warning since two thousand seventeen. The would always have a very special taste for him this one.

IRL: Online Life Is Real Life
Making Privacy Law
"The word regulation gets tossed around a lot not lately and it's often aimed directly at the internet's big tech companies some worried that the size of these companies the power and influence. They wheeled the magnitude of their presence in our lives. It's too much that these companies need to be given boundaries that they need to be regulated u._s. Senator senator elizabeth warren for instance says big tech is too big. She wants to break these companies up but on the other end of the classic argument that any regulation is overreach that regulation actually stifles innovation. We should leave it to the market. Everything will sort itself out. Consumers will settle their problems with their dollars. It's a debate that's ongoing but over the last year in the midst of it a funny thing happened. Tech companies did did get regulated. Here's how it all started a little over a year ago. The general data protection regulation russian became law across europe the g._d._p. Are as it's called was and is a big deal. It lays out explicit rules rules around how companies collect store share and use data grants consumers important rights to protect their data privacy and it imposes. This is big fines on companies who breach these rights lake spain's national football league recently the spanish data protection authority sanctioned the national soccer league <hes> from spain <hes> because of their mobile tap gabriella zamfir fortuna is with the future of privacy forum and this story caught her eye mid june spain's top pro men's soccer league. It's called la liga and the league app is both for i._o._s. And android but according to the spanish data protection authority the android the android version comes with a bonus feature on the app did was that the microphone would turn on for a couple of seconds ends every minute during a live football match lolitas official soccer app can turn your microphone acre phone on to listen for a special audio signal sent out during televised matches. The human ear can't hear it. The league did that because because they wanted to cross reference the audio fingerprinting with location data in order to figure out what bars or restaurants were broadcasting the match without paying a license for that lolita says it loses one hundred and fifty million euros every year to piracy and fraud about one hundred and seventy million u._s. dollars by combining that audio signal and knowing where the phone with the app is as they can crackdown on unlicensed broadcasts well. That was the goal anyway. The data protection authorities says lalita didn't and seek out proper consent from its users and under g._d._p. Are that nets you a red card. The suspense data protection authority had an investigation <hes> <hes> and they decided to find the league with two hundred and fifty thousand euros. That's about one hundred eighty thousand dollars so that so one very recent example of g._d._p. Our enforcement lalita is crying foul. It insists everything it's does is legal and that it does get user consent. It says the regulator doesn't understand how the tech works so appealing the fine but for now they have deactivated he activated the feature complaints. Investigations finds an appeals. That is the name of the game for g._d._p. Ours first year and it means is that europe is leading the global privacy conversation around the world g._d._p. Are has sparked something. Similar legislation is spreading to places like brazil l. and japan india's considering it too in the u._s. No federal privacy law exists yet but the state of california has passed its own privacy law which kicks in next year not to mention the record five billion dollar fine levied against facebook in july by the u._s. Federal trade commission which by the way is the biggest fine ever levied and yet small compared to the tens of billions of dollars facebook makes every year financial penalties are getting bigger and privacy regulation has arrived and it's upending the relationship between tech companies and us their users today you'll hear from twitter's new data protection officer and how he says the company is rethinking how it handles our information and then microsoft explains why they claim they're eager for even more regulation and you'll meet the californian responsible for the passage of his state's powerful new data law. It's true one person can actually change the world. I'm new summary this i._r._l. An original okon cast from fire fox fire fox products have always stood for privacy when g._d._p. Our past fire fox fox didn't need to overhaul its business practices. The company's data privacy principles mirror those of the g._d._p. Are and even exceed them. In some ways it feels is like the rest of the world is catching up where the company has been all along learn more about how fire fox fights for you at fire fox dot com slash join the g._d._p. Are is a complex and detailed set of rules. We won't get into every bit of it but let's let's look at why it is such a game changer so i to clear something up. You know those annoying pop up notifications. You keep getting every time you go to a new website. This website uses cookies to ensure you. Get the best experience on our website. I have seen plenty of those reactions because it might be that one of the unnecessary effects of the g._d._p. Are was that <hes> a lot out of banners. A lot of pope ops started to gloves of people. The pop ups are not a requirement under g._d._p. Are there more like a hack an elegant attempt by companies to get consent from consumers to collect their data. Here's gabriella again from the future of privacy forum but the g._d._p. Is carries much more than that. It actually starts from the premise that by mishandling personal data by on in <hes> fairly collecting unfairly using personal data more than deprive issue of people is at stake protecting online privacy. He is difficult and this law places. The burden of responsibility on businesses not consumers so for instance companies have to show that the data they collect act and use is necessary to providing their services and if someone asks that their data be deleted. They have to comply another strong long privacy protection that the g._d._p. Provides for is that it allows individuals to actually have some control over their personal data the the g._d._p. Are also provides for individual rights of action <hes> which means that people can go to court and ask for damages if if they think that <hes> any company or other organization a breach to the data protection rights and in fact a lot of people. We'll have been filing complaints according to gabriella in the first nine months of the g._d._p. Are being applicable. We have about two hundred thousand cases that were opened pinned with data protection authorities across europe because of g._d._p. Our companies including google facebook twitter apple and linked not in have faced investigations into their data practices but there has been some criticism of g._d._p. For one some say that the number of registered complains planes have not led to enough investigations others believe regulators haven't find enough companies for enough money to really make a difference but this is all still. I'm very new. They're calling it. A transition year as companies and regulators alike adjust to the new privacy status quo consumers. These are having to adapt to. I think we have a long way to go until the everyday internet consumer around the world will understand his his or her rights but certainly the g._d._p. Are has raised awareness okay so those the dp are basics if you wanna learn more about consumer rights under g._d._p.
