Corporate Fitness Challenge: From Illness to Wellness, Building a Proactive Approach to Employee Wellness

"Today's episode. We're going corporate that's right. I'm dressed up in a suit and tie. I got my briefcase full of protein bars. And I'm ready to ask the tough questions like Britney. Did you forget to put the letter on those TPS reports? Yeah I'm GonNa need you to do what we're talking about today Yeah are you sure? Did you get the memo? There was no memo Andrew. This isn't a movie office based and we were talking about the corporate finish on. Should I okay all right? We'll do that. I think we know anyway. Core finish challenge basically once a year or the course of a month. La Fitness does something called the corporate fitness challenge where corporate employees are placed on teams and they participate in daily health and fitness challenges to earn points for their team. So there's a lot of fun and it's one of the highlights of the year round here so we thought we'd pull back the curtain a little bit and talk about what goes into the event what employees get out of it and how you can be a little more active in your workspace if you work in the office but before we do all that. I sent myself out into the field to participate in one of the events. All right so. I'm walking over right now. To the next event in our corporate fitness challenge which is a volley ball game This is GonNa take place on the basketball court at the LA fitness near us so none of us play volleyball as far as I'm aware But we're going to give it our best and engage in a little friendly competition with our co workers. So let's see how it goes. Have you ever played volleyball before like in high school? We Oh that's something. We got some experience. How about you know I mean it except for this? Hey captain strategy here for volleyball yes. We're going to win win. That is a great strategy. The ultimate strategy. It's huge the cord and then the net itself is like we'll wait to hi point. That was amazing. I think somebody legal touches but who cares I who won that one excel one thirty nineteen? Wow Wow that's a high scoring affair. Who's a great game game Little Miscommunication Little Miss Community. At least they didn't run into each other. They're working on their communication. Wow she laid out for that and almost got it. That's going to do it out here at the volleyball tournament for the corporate fitness challenge. Everyone had a lot of fun. I'm not going to tell you who won. We're GONNA reveal that later in the episode but I will say everyone had a great time so back to you in the studio Andrew. Thank you Andrew. Now to help us understand the challenge better. We'd like to introduce our guest this week. Her name is Deanna Mercurio. And she's one of our product managers here at corporate but she's also a health and fitness. Not An she helps plan and create the challenge for the month. So please welcome to the show. How YOU DOING DNA? Hi thank you for having me. Yeah it's great to get you on. So I'm originally from Minnesota. Okay and I grew up snowmobiling so every year. I take a trip back home. And there's about four hundred miles of snowmobile trails right out the back door hop on a sled which is what we call him and you just go for a ride all day. That's awesome and you do that. How do you do this for Lake? Like a couple of days at a row or is it like a trip to try and get to somewhere or is it just like you just. You're officially hitting the chill zone. She'll zone I'm trying to work my way out of it. We literally got taking a class about ten minutes ago So I think I saw you hit Nirvana one project boss moment where I looked over and I go. I think this is my fifth with Yoga class ever and I only took my first one probably three months ago with my wife. So this is like was super new to me. I'm definitely very nudie abyss so this is kind of cool because we have have the newbie perspective which is mine and then we have kind of the experience one which is yours and then we have very experienced one over here. Yes we ever experienced guest today which is our Yoga instructor for today. Fascinating fascinating man by the name of John Lyon. He's been a yoga instructor for La Fitness for a while now and as we said before we just got done with this class of first of all. John How did we do in the class. You did fantastic. We all know we probably completed. Yoga is more about the breath in the moving than the actual perfection action to go in there and strive for any type of perfection and oppose is not doing yoga. It's bringing in the stuff that harms so you guys did amazing so just go and flow flow with it and breathe with it and You did great perspective. I've never actually heard it. Put that way and I have to say that is exactly what I took took from your class. It was an hour of just being in the moment truly in the moment and from every whether it was like the anecdotes you told or whatever it was that we were doing it was so everything was just. It was very mindful very peaceful and it all kind of came full circle back to how could relate to everyone personally in their own life and it was a very healing and like spiritual experience it is it is and that's what this episode is about is kind of yoga but also meditation and how they kind of Interchange with with each other and work together But before we get started we have to break the flow of this episode. To remind you. If you're not a subscriber please subscribe to the podcast. That's how you'll you'll get new episodes delivered straight to your phone when we release them. which is every other Monday? If you're new and all year long we're going to be bringing on nutrition. Experts fitness experts in general health experts to talk about a variety. Righty of health topics. To help you get to and through your goals so all right. Let's get back to the show here so John First of all we WANNA learn a little bit about you your background. What got got you into Yoga because first of all people can't seem well if they see the thumbnail they will? But you probably don't look like the average person you would expect to be doing yoga. I don't yeah so so. What what got you into Yoga My wife is that we we started off two weeks before we went to see a movie and it was on the history of Yoga and it was about two and a half hours and at that point I thought it was about two hours and fifteen minutes too long and it was boring and it was a smoother and There's a lot of Yogis in there and just loved. It was a history of the breathing and the channels in the energy and all these different parts of Yoga and I just sat there and I fell asleep in and a couple of times it was their premier and so we walked out and they had this table tabletop with everybody who had anything to do with anybody who had energy in there. There's a producers the Editors the writers directors anybody who put any type of hands on that film were there and all these women around all these people around and they're all just gushing about it and that's my wife and I are walking out. They asked me what I think about the movie and I go. You don't want to know what I think about that. Other ask one of these other women he goes. Don't what do you think about it. And I told him I said well I go if you ask them to give you my honest opinion I go. I think it's a bunch of hocus pocus mumble bumble bee s and He he he okay. And that's the interesting thing is he just said Okay and and my wife was mad. I mean everybody was looking around like I was like the crazy guy and we walked out and Two weeks later. She asked me if I I wanted to take a yoga class. There's this place down the street that was free. I said if it's free it's for me and I went in there and I took the first class and It was physically challenging changing. But I told my wife before I go weird in there. I'm going to go ahead and just step outside and sit in the car because I don't you don't know what's what you're getting into yoga mystical. So Oh I went through that first class and physically challenged. I went through the second class the next day and Something happened to me and and that was when I was going to sleep I wasn't awake. I wasn't asleep and I just told my wife that you'll free my mind and I denied it at first when she said I go like I said it and that's when I realized that I need to do more of this. So that's what was my first weekend of Yoga is that it just freed. Read my mind after after two places that that was ten years ago ten years ago and it was just just There's a lot of dynamics in my life that we're going on that we're very challenging. I slept like a baby. Go to sleep and I'd be up about every fifteen twenty minutes Kinda you know. Restless solicit everything and that I'd go back to sleep but that piece that I experienced after just the second class was the Besley that I received and so I just found myself wanting to go back more and more and more and just eating more of it and which was really good. Wow that's awesome. That's yeah that's very cool is would you say what would you say is the ultimate ultimate goal of Yoga. Then is it to find that peace is it to heal your body. Is it just to get exercise to what. What is the ultimate goal of Yoga or meditation? General I it can be all of it because Yoga's uh-huh physical practice. There's definitely a physical dynamic that you will tone in sculpture body but there's also the piece component with the breath that you can find and yourself. Pardon me in his place of seated meditation and all Yoga is a moving meditation my perspective because the Word Word Yoga when it comes right down to it it translates into harnish into yoke and that's to connect the breath to the body and Dach- that's where you'll get is and it's been around for six thousand years and in the first but when I started yoga it was there to find seated meditation out that was the ultimate that was the ultimate go when Yoga I started six thousand years plus ago because they were all hunter gatherers they wanted to find a place to come to for stillness us so they practice these poses to find one in their body so they can meditate to their supreme being whatever it was meditation Yoga Alga Right Gateway to to meditate. Okay L. DO Yoga. The Yoga was there to help find and yourself into seat imitation sit comfortably comfortably invitation. Okay and so do you. Do you find that. There's a right or wrong way to practice. Meditating I don't know much about about it I kind of difficult especially in the beginning. So is there any like tips. You have for people who are just starting to meditate trouble either sitting still still clearing their mind or just getting to that seated place that they need to be is very challenging. Because you're confronted with one of the scariest things in life in that stillness. John Lewis our minds our program to constantly go. Go go perfection. The Best Excel. Whether it's at your work whether it's in your life you want to be the best you want to have the best car. She wanted to the best of everything and when you slow down to a place of stillness whether it is two minutes in posher five minutes and seated meditation and beyond it becomes that stillness becomes very very confronting and sometimes the best possible thing you can do for your body. It is absolutely nothing as sitting be still and just focusing on the breath but to get back to your pointing a a right or wrong way. There's no wrong way to meditate. But when you want to you definitely want to do it in seeded comfortable position because if you do it laying down you can fall asleep and your main focus is to focus on the breath right eight to clear your head of all holy thoughts in just to clear the thoughts on you what you WanNa do you find yourself. You want to observe the breath not find it as a focus and let everything pass through the mind all the fluctuations pass through like you're not attached to any of them because when you're sitting in a place of you're focusing on your breath you're thinking of your breath now if you observe the breath and you just let it pass through you with any without any attachment then you can find yourself in a place of meditation. That'll it'll take you further because thoughts always go through your mind when you're meditating. You can't turn off your mind it'll just constantly things will come through that kind of led into the next question of like. How what do you do when you can't stop thinking while you're meditating but I guess it's focus on the breath you just? Yeah the the mind works in a specific way you can only think about one thing at a time. So if you're focused on your breath you're not thinking about yesterday today or tomorrow thinking about. What's on your daily play? You're thinking of the breath fashion. You can kind of use it as technique is just watched the breath come into your nose to the back of your throat and fill up your lungs. And then that'll take you to a place where you you can start to focus on that and then you can get back and used that as technique to just watch the thoughts go through and is it almost like a way of organizing your thoughts in a sense or letting your mind kind of naturally organized your thoughts in that. You're you're letting them kind of passer you like voice heard like you kind of like the thought comes in your mind. YOU RECOGNIZE CNN is it. Let it go and try and focus back on the breath. Is that also part of meditation. Yeah Y- you. You definitely have a way of organizing but even organizing is the same as focusing seeing on breath. What you're writing? What you're trying to do is not shut the mind off completely but find it to a place of peace because I believe my opinion. Is that when you are able to shut the mind off away. From all the distractions it starts to go into a different mode of thought. It's not uncommon for somebody to walk out of a yoga class and say They had a a series of something at work that it was going on. They needed to find an answer to a specific question for something something a problem at work or at school and an hour or two after a class you come up with that solution and the reason I believe is because you've given your mind time I'm to really get into process And kind of you know to see through the confusion clearly or lack of another word analysis by paralysis. You've shut it down to work at higher speed clears the fog. They say the same thing about nerves too like with public speaking when people get really nervous my dad added always told me a story of how somebody would but a paper clip in their pocket and play with it with their hand. Because you can only focus on one thing at once if you're on that you're not focusing on being nervous but it's interesting 'cause I always wondered it's like you find that clarity while you're meditating any find that clear space but what about when you stop. Do you take it with you. But you're right. It's you use that moment to meditate to open up your mind to be able to clear.

And then that'll take you to a place where you you can start to focus on that and then you can get back and used that as technique to just watch the thoughts go

NAMI is bringing awareness to mental health throughout May

"Zip welcome to another special edition of the living, healthy podcast. Presented by L A fitness, as we continue bringing awareness to mental health throughout the month of may. We're working with nam e the National Alliance on mental illness, Naomi works year round to de stigmatize mental illness, and educate the public on ways to seek help. Learn more about mental health and get involved with their movement. Our guest today, is Rachel Robbins, manager of PR and external relations at nanny, she's had a very busy month, but we're thrilled to have her on the phone. So please welcome. Rachel robbins. Thank you guys, so much for having me. We are thrilled to be working with LA fitness this month. So I am so happy that we were able to make time to chat. Yeah, thanks for calling in and speaking with us before we get started. Can you actually share a little bit about your background and maybe how fitness has helped impact your life? Sure. So I actually just moved to Washington DC where I'm calling you guys from today. Day from New York City. So I don't know anybody. And I really used fitness as a way to get out and meet people in the community. So that's kind of the way that I. Get for millions with my brain's on taking a walk going to class on going to the gym. Luckily my apartment building has one so so that's been a great way to meet some neighbors on that just really recently is how fitness has impacted my own life. That's really nice. So he's tells a little bit more about what Namiki is what it stands for sure. So mommy is the national lines mental illness as you guys mentioned. And we are the nation's largest grassroots mental Health Organization and our mission is to provide advocacy education support, and public awareness, so that everyone that's affected by a mental illness whether that's individually or if they're supporting a family. Brand or a loved one can get the support and resources that they need to get better. So a little bit of a sidetrack here. But how do you pronounce it? Is it Nambi? Is it now? It sounds like you're saying NAMI. So where do you guys fall on that? So we pronounce it, NAMI. Now me. Okay. Okay. That's official. That's official now. It's nami. Okay. Yeah. Right. Okay. So can you. Let's talk about mental health in general. What is mental health to NAMI and kind of wise it so important that one you wanted to get involved with them, and then also that the organization exists in general. Sure, so mental health can be defined as the way we think feel and how we relate to others on genetics. The way that my brain functions your brain functions. The environment and lifestyle all player role in our mental health and mental health conditions are sometimes referred to as mental illness, and so they're interchangeable, they are common, and they are treatable approximately one in five people in the US, which is forty six point six million adults. Experience a mental illness mcgibbon year. Wow. That's so I that number is always I feel like gotta be so shocking to someone. That's never like thought about it before. Because you're like one in five like just like walk, walk down the island, your office in, like someone there, probably affected by it. Yeah. Yeah. Well, so kind of. It's important because it affects a lot of people, right? But why do you think in recent years, it's kind of gotten more attention and kind of it seems like in the last few years, all of a sudden now, more athletes, and celebrities and people are talking about mental health than they were before it. Why do you think that is? I think that, that's a huge ry reason what you just brought up about celebrities and athletes, no coming out and telling their stories and more awareness. Definitely plays a role. Specially in the media, the more that our media reports on it. There were more TV shows movies songs, whatever the case may be that deal with mental health. The more people are going to be talking to up talking about it. And this is particularly with regards to depression and anxiety. What we found is that the more people that are open to sharing their stories, the less it becomes. And we know the power of personal stories and our NAMI stories, help us, he'll provide us opportunities to participate, and inspire our communities and really encourage people have hoped which relationship. Right. I think that's so great. Honestly, that more people are talking about it. Because then you don't feel alone. You're like, oh, I'm not the only person feel like that. Yeah. It's, it's great what you guys are doing. And that's that's always important to not feel alone. So, and so you guys are really about trying to help people tell their stories in a sense. Absolutely. And that also goes into what our campaign is this may for mental health month. We're doing why care and it goes that core of that storytelling. Why do you care about mental health because why I care may be different than why you care, and so really getting to that personal connection to the cause of making it feel offensive. How would you say that exercise and fitness, you know, plays a role in helping those with mental health conditions? Yes. So we actually have seen studies that have shown that exercise can reducing variety and the Prussian as well as improve mood, it is. However, I just want to be very clear. It is not a substitute for treatment from a mental healthcare professional, right? It's just an addition. Yeah, yeah. However, but as with other health issues, it is recognized as a complimentary form of treatment of overall health and wellness for all mental health conditions. So what we actually saw from a study by the net National Institute of health found that all takes is thirty minutes a few times a week to produce mental health benefits thirty minutes. Seven that's it? Yeah. It's something when you boil it down like that you're kind of, like, yeah, that's okay. I give up one episode of TV show or something for mental health. And if you're really like in a tough spot that really might be worth that, that, I guess, sacrifice so to speak to do that. Would you see me? You watch TV as you're on the right. Yeah. That's right. You gotta find gotta find a way to say that time. What do you say when we're talking about stigmatism to and de-stigmatising mental illness? So what are some of the most stigmatized thoughts people have in society? Like what do you see as the big hurdles with this kind of movement? Yeah. So I think that we get stuck in them and talapity and that separates and isolates individuals it's their problem. It's not my problem when we can change that. And say us we can really chip away at sigma and make a difference ways that we can change. That is just like what we're doing now is having a conversation that is inclusive aware. Onus education really are the key to keeping this movement going on language that is inclusive verse labelling on the wall. It's like that advice can can go so many like can just be like, crawl across the board, right? Yeah. Smart people, caring about others. How do you how do you kinda help change that? How do you guys go about trying to make it more inclusive language like including the us versus them? And they how do you kinda what do you actually do to try and make that happen? Sure. So we operate year round we have our programs that, you know, you can find on our website from January December, but we really amplify in p periods. One of which is may which were in mental health month, also July is minority mental health month in addition to mental illness awareness week, which is the first full week of October. Right. Yeah. Last week or last year we did a weeklong campaign that was the first time Elliott finished got involved with. Campaign and yeah, it did really well like on social media, especially, like we had a lot of positive feedback from our community about how much exercise has helped them and how much they appreciate it us talking about it. So that one. So there's, there's multiple events throughout the year pretty much that try and draw wariness to this cause, and as we speak about exercise, actually, one of the amazing things that NAMI does is we have a mental health walks per gram, which is the largest one in the country et called NAMI watts. It's an almost hundred cities this year for just at ninety nine so it's phenomenal. The way that this program has grown and this year, more than fifty thousand people will join us and walk together to raise awareness of mental illness, and raise funds for the local NAMI affiliate. Which is absolutely incredible. That's great. We actually did it some people from corporate, mental illness. It was great man. We ours was at a angel stadium. So we actually got to go inside the baseball stadium. Yeah. Yes. He really cool. Yeah. So it is fun. The New York one which is actually this Saturday is across the Brooklyn Bridge. So that would be awesome icon of places in bringing people together you to look up some flights. Andrew. Oppy awesome. I've never been to New York. So that would be cool. I have so Rachel where where can people go exactly for help say, like self help group help therapy? Do you have to be diagnosed? I in order to see a doctor. How does the whole process work? Sure. So I saw NAMI has a help line that I encourage anybody who has questions can definitely utilize the numbers. One eight hundred nine five zero six two six four that's one eight hundred nine five zero six two six four for systens and our health line team, can answer questions, specific to a person situation in also can tailor. Their answer is based on where they live soon NAMI has a variety of different programs. We have classes for not only people that have a mental health condition, but also families, and friends, and we have support groups as well and the these stem from support groups for adults for young adults between the ages of eighteen thirty for children and adults scence for families, and all of these support groups in classes. "Our friends. So we're just really looking forward to the time that happens when we're debt free. You know we love to share our story because like you said many people don't think it's possible to pay that in that being in debt is normal. And I don't know anyone who is okay with paying double, or triple, what they bought or purchased. And that's what we do when we stay in all of our lives like we're paying triple the price or the value of our products. So we just want to encourage folks ter- you know, lift their debt. See what it is that they own and create a plan. It doesn't have to be twelve months could be five years. If you have a plan. That's a start. So, you know, I think about, you know, our parents are in their late fifties early sixties. And we want to be in a position that, hey, they weren't able to take care of themselves. At least we've made the decision to be in a better financial state in order to take care of them. We want to be able to say more yeses to our children than knows just because we can't support them financially. So that's what drives me. And that's what keeps me going in. That's what we're looking forward to in the future. Are there any moments year when you guys kinda hit the wall and looking ahead to next year? Will you will you go at it as hard as you've been going at it now, 'cause I know when you and I spoke before you had talked about, you know, getting it can be really, really draining. This is keeping pace like this, and it can start to take a toll on you individually together, as a couple are there any lessons. You've learned this year that you might do a little bit differently with your approach coming up this year. So I'm I'm really tired enough. Hiring. So I think that even though we spent a lot of our time, not seeing each other the thing that helped in our relationship with constant communication with one another and I felt like we grew in our relationship, because it's almost like we were forced to communicate, we had to see how each other is doing, and that is what helped us get through it realizing that I had a teammate someone that was there wanting to accomplish the same goal as me helped so much and then looking to next year I personally, don't think I can continue as as much as I've been doing right now, like I'm tired, so I'm getting a break right now. And then hopefully we're going to start back up again. Pretty soon pretty soon. When you say break, do you mean taking on less work, definitely less work? So I'm still of course doing. My full time job and I'm still doing some overnight shifts, but definitely not as much as doing before because I was literally doing like my fulltime job along with like five to six overnight shifts each week. And so now I'm probably doing maybe about one overnight shift a week, which is a drastic change. Well, I think a lot of people listening might say, okay. I'm gonna similar position. Where do I start where would you suggest like if they're with someone and they're married now, and they're just like, okay, we both wanted mitt that we're really in debt. And we're not sure what's the first step? What should we do? Our tell them to. Dream together. I think. Going straight to the numbers may not be the best way for some people. So talking about where you wanna be in the next three five years. What do you want your life to look like? And then once you guys come up with a common goal. Write down how much you owe visually seeing the amount of debt that you all what you're lending. Institutions are what your interest rates are. I mean the government is hiking up the interest rate quarterly. It seem so riding down all of that information in having visual in creating a budget that lift your income, and your expenses, and seeing where you can reduce some expenses, either by cutting something off completely or just, you know switching from planet. "Maybe playing pick up at LA fitness because that's what he's been doing this week. He also may be tweeting upside down because that's what he's doing this week Meena. Do you believe lady on bell since he's now back in Pittsburgh is slowly making his way to Pittsburgh? Or do you not believe anything you're reading right now because it's upside down. Langley take away from that tweet is that he's trying to flip the narrative or something. That's a tough one. That's a tough one narrative. Was you the American it's a very good live. This negotiations. Nobody has any idea. What's going on? It's been confusing from the start. There's been conflicting reports about what it means. All we know is this for shirt, Tony if he doesn't report he's not playing the rest of the season. Right. Because I don't think the Steelers are gonna wanna franchise again, given the cost and given the return they can get if they let let them walk. They'll get a comp pick next season. So the question is why would he report the only reason I can think of is that he actually wants to play but given his behavior and everything we know about him so far in his motivations in terms of trying to protect his body. I just don't see it. Well, his his logic is upside down. I think he's trying to be an NHL goaltender stand on his head. I that's what he's trying to do because he's not coming back because nobody cares at this point when Qatar's leading his done more. If you look at the last eight games of bell last year and Connor this year Connor has Vange. No, pittsburgh. Steelers running back has ever had a hundred yards rushing fifty yards catching passes and one touchdown in four consecutive. They don't care whether he comes to know, I find ever knew that said existed. But there you go when you page Clinton Yates. Again Connors leading the conference in rushing. So I'm not concerned about the Steelers feel about it. But on a larger level. I mean, this guy turned out a pretty big contract offer. I'm not sure who wasn't gonna wanna give him necessarily all this money after he's been sitting on for years overall. This is just not a smart play them Levy on. I mean do think he's coming back to Pittsburgh, maybe to try to figure out whether or not that transition, tag, or whatever may be way worked. Sure. But if I'm another team, I don't know how quickly I'm just saying come on down because they're going to be great look at the other guy. Replaces he's doing Frank solo. I want to believe that his agent and lady on bell know what they're doing. Now, he's basically given up ten million dollars already. So it's hard to believe that no one in Levy on fell's family said what you nuts sign the contract and get in there. But to me, he's a football player the back that he's in Pittsburgh. Now, I believe that he's going to be signed. And at some point he's going to be playing for Pittsburgh. So you believe the agent labor. I'm bell know what they're doing here. There's is anybody questioning that at this point moment. I'll ask you that. I are you questioning that because the reporting year is now swirling. A lot of confusion is over what the value of the franchise tag will be there. Still conflicting reports about how much would it cost. I don't know if anyone knew what it'd be Stevie is very complicated earlier in the season. I think our interpretation of that has changed over. The course of the season has real quick around the warn here. What he page Glenn Yates, you think bell will be accepted into a locker room. Whether it's Pittsburgh or his team next year after all this. Yes. Players tend to care about themselves and their teams, they don't really they hope he shows up, but they're gonna treat him. They would the frigid that reason is depends on how many touches he gets it. They all of a sudden bring him back, and he's taken away all the carry some Connor because they care about themselves that could be a serious issue. Not just from a philosophy steamboat from strategies for this team. This is not going to be an easy integration. If he comes back here that we'll move on next up at line three next guys coming yesterday's panel on duke's opener the greatest opener in the.

So I was like, okay, I'll do it. You know that. So that's really how I got started yet. How got approach to me. Sure. Very cool. So what was the turning point? I know you're saying that you kinda wanted to share it with other people, but when you got really serious, do you remember that moment where you're like our turning up notch? Like you saw the potential rain with l.. Yeah, it was day I got laid off on their if you got I I was so upset, but I think it was more upset to come home and tell my husband. I got laid off. More where you not that it wasn't upset that I was leaving that job. Because again, like I felt so unappreciated and undervalued and I was limited. There was no room for growth, and I knew I was capable of more. I knew there was more for me out in life but in in life, but I just didn't know what it was going to be in in this just felt like I was like a sign. It just felt like this was. That's so five years a little over five years at very cool. So obviously, you know what? It takes to build a business. Number one, build a team number two. And they always say there's like this crazy statistic. It says, like if a business can last, a small business can last over five years or something. This succession rate could be basically forever because your first five years or so nuts. And even if you had some level of knowledge of what to expect, they're still the unexpected. Obviously happy if you can get through against attesting. I forget you know where the source was from, but they're saying, if you get through those five years, you're literally golden, which is pretty impressive. When you say the five and a half years and you probably straight after two years, but now it's like, so like solid. This is you. People know, this is what you do. This is part of your not even part of your this is your life. And for five years, it's like known can take that away from, you know what I mean? So building a home based business team building involved, how did how did that turn? So obviously, you get into the motivation or you get your ABS. Are you yourself? Got motivated because you. Laid off, then you just turn it up a notch, but how does that get taught? How do you know how to build a team? You really don't. Honestly, you kinda just well a lot of what we do, what a lot of training. So and our business, they do do a lot of leadership training team building, training, communication, all of that..
