Why The 16th Hole at Waste Management Is The Craziest Hole in Golf

"Dude, forget Google. The guys in the 16th hole at the Waste Management are the best Googlers in the entire history of the world. I stepped up there and they pulled they started chanting sister Elizabeth. Sister, Elizabeth. And they had a look over and they have a picture of my sister while she was a cheerleader. LSU. Like front row. I'm like, how the fuck am I supposed to hit this 6 iron on the green from a 190 yards on staring at a picture of my sister and a cheerleading uniform at LG. Like, I don't know how they find this shit. How they find pictures of your sisters and your siblings and your ex-girlfriends and dead cousins, I don't know, but they do. And they're better than Google. So yeah. Something like that, yeah, you've got all the information at your fingertips now. Well, yeah, for all those, for people at home listening, those guys have blueprints of every single player that's about to approach these 6 to 18. And they find the most obscure facts about every player. It's not just now with me, it was like, you know, near these labs, titties, like it was something like that. That's not factual. That's factual. You're like, yeah, this factual. Sorry. Today's show ends up with the why. I was like, come on, boys. I thought you'd get a little bit more creative. That's not great. But they're incredible. And just that event,

He's army not navies, all the wrong stuff, but he's doing the right thing on ESG. Members of Alec take to this message. Are they clued in that the environmental social governmental effort to change the way that America invests is fundamentally corrupt and wrong and political? Yeah, it's one thing to first you have to recognize you have a problem, but you, what are we going to do when Louisiana Arkansas, Alabama, Mississippi banks don't want to do business with us. So we have some work to do and figure out how do we what do we do? How do we fix it? We're going to find a bank that takes care of you folks. Exactly.

Woke Athletes Should Stick to Sports

"Men and women, the people of America, I am sick and tired of athletes. And coaches who supposed to be shooting three pointers, supposed to be coaching teams, congratulations to Steve Kerr. The only reason he won, he won, right? The only reason that he won because he was the Arizona alumni. But outside of that, you supposed to be doing your thing, but they putting their hands in a politics in ways in which I think are rooted in stupidity. Steve Kerr came out and said and cried about good laws and just country. Enough is enough. And then he runs off the stage. And then Joe burrows, I love that kid, man. If y'all don't know it's the Bengals quarterback right now, I love them when he was in college, LSU won the national championship. I said, man, that kid got hard. Come back season. It was amazing. He got drafted number one overall. He got obliterated his first year because officer line was blocking as if they only had one leg. And then he came back and he went to the championship and I rooted for him. I said Joe burrow, I hope that you win this thing and be an upset. You know, be a part of an upset victory. However, I have since changed my mind because I believe he's going to walk in and woke. So I don't believe me. Wrote a clip. You know, you're not going to outline everything you got to at least make it harder to get those crazy guns that everybody's using. I don't think you should be able to just walk in there and buy one. You got to be able to go through a rigorous process to be able to buy something like that, I think. So, you know, hopefully the people that get paid to make those decisions figure that out, my job is to play football, but hopefully the politicians can figure that one out.

House Minority Whip Steve Scalise Shares His Origin Story

"Well, Steve's release is joining us here today on the Doug Collins podcast Steve. We're glad to have you as a part and again, a lot going on and I know right now in Congress is sort of crazy, but one of the things that I always like to start with podcast out with is just really discussing, you know, how you became safe, you know? A lot of people only see us in our roles out front TV, whatever it may be. And I want them to also understand that there's people behind those real life stories. So tell us a little bit about yourself where you came from, how you got started and everything like that. Sure. Well, Doug first great to be with you and glad you're staying involved in the game. And we need your voice out there, like it's been out there for a long time. I tell you what. I mean, you know, I was born in the city of New Orleans, grew up in the suburbs and really the roots of my family or would have stuck with me my whole life, and that's the traditional hard work and blue collar roots of my dad was a real estate agent. My mom stayed at home and raised us until we got out of school and then she went worked and parish government for a while. And they just taught us about hard work and just the traditional values I went to a Catholic school for high school in New Orleans. And I went to LSU and worked my way through school. My parents helped me. It's a good student loans. I worked at Home Depot. I'm the only I'm the only member of Congress who actually worked at Home Depot. And I did that to help pay my way through school. And I got a degree in computer science. Look, while I was at LSU, that's really when I started getting interested in politics and never thought I'd run for office, but you go back to Louisiana in the 1980s when I was there. You know, first of all, Ronald Reagan was president. And Doug, there was no better gold standard for the conservative movement. When I was registering the vote, there was no doubt I was voting. I was registering Republican because Reagan was just to me the Pinnacle of what leadership was. And I just wanted to follow him where he was

"He got Notre-Dame to a national title. He got them to the college football playoff. They lost Alabama both times, by the way. But that's impressive in of itself. Like he got Notre-Dame. To the college football player and national title in his run 12 years there, he could have stayed. He had no reason. He wasn't being pushed out. No one wanted him to believe. But for him going to LLC, it's an upgrade. Notre-Dame is kind of pompous. They think they are all that. To me, LSU is way better. It's a better situation for you for your life to build a future and shoot for more. Like, I don't know that Brian Kelly can win a national title. I know for sure he couldn't do it at Notre-Dame. I wasn't gonna happen at Notre-Dame. He might be able to do it at LSU. And that's the possibility he's going for. It's that little sliver of hope that he didn't have before by being a part of Notre-Dame. So it's a risk, but I love it. I love it so much. It's going to be a ton of fun and I'm happy. Brian Kelly, make an upgrades in his life. I think that should be celebrated. A lot of people are talking about, why would you leave Notre-Dame? That's cool and of itself is when you don't need to leave, but you choose to leave. That right there is exciting. And let's imagine Brian Kelly did not take the job. At LSU, he stays at Notre-Dame. You think he's going to live the rest of his life thinking about what have I taken that job? You don't want that at all. You don't want to leave your life thinking about what if. Now, for LSU, I think this is probably who else were they going to hire? I can't think of a better option actually. And that's not a ringing endorsement of Brian Kelly. But you're looking at Brian Kelly a guy who did really well at Notre-Dame over achieved a little bit at Notre-Dame, who's going to get better facilities and more stuff it is disposal. That's exciting to think about like, oh, what can he achieve? Look what he did at Notre-Dame. What can he achieve with more money better facilities and even more passion with his fan base? I actually think it's a perfect marriage. It's one that people are probably not that excited about because Brian Kelly's not a hot new name in college football, but this is a really successful coach who's done more with less than what LSU has. And I talked a while ago about what LS you could do is hire a coach maybe out of the FCS level who's been winning with fewer scholarships and less facilities. They kind of did that..

"Bruce you had a a i would say you know even better than front row seat for one of the more Eventful results from saturday. You were the sideline reporter for lsu ucla. You've been telling us for months that. Ucla was gonna be this much improved physical team. I was very skeptical. I think most people were skeptical though. That's exactly what they went and did to. Lsu what was it like. There are at the rose bowl. Stu my ears are still ringing from last night It was a really fun atmosphere. I know a lot of people. Don't last week notice. There's so many empty seats at the rose bowl when they played hawaii and they kind of just kind of smirk at at the vibe around the rose bowl and the place was Was basically packed and there was a bunch of lsu fans but it wasn't. I won't point. I thought it was gonna be fifty. Fifty was probably seventy five. Twenty five or so Ucla but it was really good energy in the building. I thought from our meetings. We went to practice on friday. Just a lotta confidence about what they they feel like. They have become at ucla and chip. Kelly told us we gotta remember the for context when he first got there they had sixty three players go through spring. They had one hundred fifteen this year and the the first year at fifty seven scholarship guys may be seven. Scholarship offense alignment now. They're well over eighty scholarship guys. It's just it built to this. And so i think like you. Lsu it was really interesting. Tommy moffitt is lsu strength coach. And he's been at lsu for a long time but before that he was at tennessee. "To ucla and lsu. But you got clemson georgia in charlotte. clemson lane three and a half seven on the money. Line georgia. The dogs walk plus one forty on the money. Line sitting at fifty one and a half colby is. I don't know it part of me thinks you take you. Take georgia here. Because you're getting more than three points but part of me likes betting on a guy named big cinco lock going on here with my handicap. And what are you got. I kind of agree when we had phil steele on the show. He said like anything more than a field goal on the other team. Gimme georgia plus the three and a half. I still think. I mean this is a toss up game. There's a high chance whoever wins is going to be my three points that i can get three and a half. Give me Give me give me the bulldogs and three and a half points It is going to be interesting though because like j. J. daniels yes. He played great but In against kinda shitty opponent so. This is going to be as i true. Ambig- cinco got some looks. You know when When lawrence was dealing with the cova there or he was on the list and his. Name's big cinco. I n you daboh. Who just wins games. And and i think this almost to me. It could go both ways for georgia. This is their season like if they don't win this game one. Do they have another opportunity to look at their schedule under the sec championship. Yeah so this is like their season. Which i think is almost too much pressure for a guy like j. t. daniels and clemson's coming in here kinda with not a lot of pressure and because even if they lose this game they can run the table and be in a position in the college football playoff so i think the fact that the pressure is all on georgia as a small dog. I'm going clemson minus three and a half.

I won't even appointment. And i said what about about thirty seconds and since sure i didn't take shots saved the world. I didn't say take two saves me. I mean i have not my thoughts about the covert situation but the reason that took the shot was simply this so i could move on about my business and get back to what the quote normal was for me. Best closest thing you're going to be able to get back to what normal was a couple of years ago is if you do something for yourself. People and i would suggest getting shot. I mean i. I mean you make your own choice but if you want to go back to what you thought was to quote normal that is probably the easiest and the best pass to walk down because otherwise you eat go walk around disgruntled you're gonna deal with disgruntled people and you'll probably be mad and probably get yourself in trouble then. It's just easier to roll old the punches now. I'm totally. i was totally against shot. But i did it for me personally. And i have no no side effects that third hour. We'll be real good about this time next year. I mean be twenty twenty vision in. It'll just give me that not you buy. I've already grown like Some some antlers in twelve toes and they'll be mature with males sometime this this winter but outside that everything is fine and i you know i hate. That is still a topic that it is a topic and it will be a topic. Well they understand the media. It's a topic because it creates numbers. Well yeah i mean. I we no longer talk about things in the media in in terms of you know presenting both side nobody. Nobody wants to hear both sides People wanna hear people want to hear whatever side they believe and and the shot and the vaccine has become a big part of it. And i and i'll tell you this. I think the reason why the vaccine has become a big political issue is because of what we're talking about people keep. I think those who are in favor of it have overshot the runway and trying to push it down your throat and mine. I think most of us have enough commonsense to go okay. Is this a good idea. i'm not sure. Let me ask someone who knows more and if they say yes get it but after you've already determined that you don't want to be you know have a frying pan bang over your head over and over again saying do do it well and and you know what i mean. Google my phone battery dead. I hadn't seen a couple of articles and and and you said something about your wife. Taking the first time she got enough changed. I trust took never met her. Never heard her voice. Never seen the picture. "You're just smiling away and actually wash a really fun video clip of you being a lady tiger thought it was actually a one-minute clip from LSU. I'm actually going to share it out on our Instagram later on today, but In that clip, I talked all about you being a positive light. So yes, you are very positive. Very upbeat and I cannot log 8 later on towards the end of the show to hear your positive pop because I'm sure it's going to be absolutely amazing. You guys are now listening to Mercedes Brooks. She is a former LSU ladyfag recently graduated. We've been talking about basketball growing up in Texas what types of food she likes to eat. We just learned that she likes crab legs from Louisiana and spicy foods. Now, we're going to jump right into before we talked about from on because obviously the Celtics are kind of at a little bit halt right now WNBA. Do you have any aspirations to play in the WNBA some day or time you kind of just in that motion of you want to continue with schooling and potentially maybe start a family someday? What are your thoughts on possibly going pro? Younger? Everybody's like, oh I want to go back. I want to do this. I want to do that. I did have thoughts of going overseas to play and then eventually coming back and trying to play the WNBA, but I feel like after I've set off. I've I've thought about it for a long time but I feel like playing is not where my heart is like in the future. I don't see myself playing I see myself helping others and I don't really think that would be me helping others. I think coaching is something that I can do that would give back to the community in Wichita Falls, Texas. But yeah, I don't really see that here in VA my future not because I don't believe I could make it there cuz I I believe could do it if I wanted to but that's just not the path choosing to take you are sort of taking the philanthropik view where you want to help others give back get into coaching maybe be there for your man down and watch him do his career because obviously you're probably going to be traveling with him, which I'm going to be doing with my boyfriend as well. Sometimes you want to put things off hold for a little bit and sacrifice and also learn how to give back and Coach others. So I love that and birth. Very respectful. I literally love that answer. I was expecting no, I want to try over the WNBA some day or something like that, but full circle. I think it's super cool that you want to put your career on hold and see what happens down the road as far as the medical field goes and whatnot..

Amini upon learning of this situation and with some of our student athletes may have been placed in a compromising position we are working with our student athletes the NC double a. and the S. E. C. in order to rectify the situation. Today's arrest warrant in my opinion is payback for all the trouble. Trouble Beckham has stirred up for LSU in the SEC. Everybody knows the deal in major college football and basketball. The elite schools in the elite players get hooked up by boosters alums Lum's Beckham just needlessly put his alma mater in the NCW crosshairs all because he wanted to promote LBJ Beckham Pity Mayes the virus spreading within thin sports culture. A growing number of high pro- Ath- athletes have abandoned any pretence to being role models in pursuit of being influencers. As I explained earlier this week there is a significant difference between being a role model and influence a role model attempts to model public behavior to be emulated by young people and influencers. The goal is to develop a large following by any means necessary and influence that following into buying commercial products. Walter Payton aspire to be a Role Model L. O.. BJ ASPIRES TO BE KIM Kardashian. Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton. He hasn't released a sex tape yet. But it's only a matter of time. He's obsessed with. Hey look could be stunts that enhance his social media brand over Jay is a self serving agent chaos whose lone mission in life is the promotional. BJ He is not alone alone. Antonio Brown suffers the exact same disease. Sodas Colin Kaepernick is Beckham's form of social media influence or chaos as bad as browns and caps. No Brown is sociopathic and cap is using police brutality to sell nikes but Brown and capper no longer on. NFL teams my point. On Beckham income is his influence or addiction. MAKES HIM A really bad fit for team. Sports Beckham's influence makes it extremely hard to build a winning culture. He's Terrel Owens on social social media steroids your best player. The player with the most influence on the locker room can't contradict values taught by the coaching staff team sports or about sacrificing adviser for the man or woman next to you there about elevating the people you work with and subjugating your individual ego for the greater good of the team team sports are about shared goals. I shared experiences shared values the one hundred or so players on that. Lsu team the twenty or so coaches the team of administrators trainers and support staff. I've worked all year to win a national championship while they were doing the work to win a national title. Ob Jay was helping the Cleveland Browns underachieve and miss the playoffs Monday Sunday night wasn't about Odell Beckham. Junior Chieveley hijack the event and made it about him. It's literally the most Selfish Act. I've seen in sport put I. Don't blame people in Louisiana for seeking payback. LSU should banning from its campus in the Cleveland. Browns should dump Oh. BJ and rid their locker room of his. His influence are joining the death. Now Fox sports. NFL analyst Mark Slayer and Bucky Brooks Marcellus. Get US rolling. Yeah what should LSU do about Odell L. Beckham Julia. Oh what should happen in this episode of Dumb and dumber which is just dumped a slap a security guard on his butt and is dumber to even bring up criminal criminal charges for that same slap. You should take notice the NFL's doing and this approach with Ab. which is slow is the way to go? Let something something else let the system judicial system in ABC's case or NCWA and Lsu's case actually set the ruling before you actually go out there and set the ruling remember when you're trying to team build and Lsu and this perfect season would deem everything outside that teeing seen those players is outside noise that includes Odell Beckham in this situation right now. That's outside noise. He didn't have impact on the game. He's not a teammate. And these guys are in a world that's going to change. If they achieve their goals the rules will change everything that we are now. Criticizing will turn and flip into being something that is perfectly define legal and ethical but right now there's no message that's going to be learned by you being fast to a judgment or penalty Odell and there's nothing that these players are going to be able to absorb because they're in a different world didn't Odell so just because of those circumstances. I just say Paul's for the cost when this comes to out do not believe that. Lsu should disassociate themselves with ob J.. He does need a stern talking to he has to understand any can't put Lsu you and compromising situations with behavior and what he did on Monday night at a game. He certainly did that but he is too. Valuable to the university to the football program. Ram as a recruiting tool to completely ostracized from the program. When you go to these high school football camps and you talk to young receivers Obi Jay Jay is a guy that they aspire to be? He is the one that they look up to. So you still have to have him around the program you still want to benefit from his hero status his icon con status. But he has to know that. You can't put the bigger Brandon Jeffrey. I would say this if I was. LSU I would have a meeting with with Odell Beckham Junior and the powers that be at Lsu and say if you act like a moron and that's what you acted like on Monday night then. You're not I'm going to be allowed to be around our program. That's the bottom line. We want you to be a part of our program. But if you're going to act like a fool and you've got that kind of to me the premeditated portion of putting a stack of high society in your pocket and traveling around. Get yourself your or attention. Because that's what that is that to me is wrong if you WANNA celebrate with those kids and celebrate championship. I don't have a problem with you celebrating championship pitcher but that was celebrating your brand and I've strongly feel that. That's that's what went down there so I would have to have a conversation with him if you want to act like an adult. You WanNa. It'll be a great role model and you want to help these kids. Get the next level. I'm all for that. But Hey listen just because there are problems with the structure of the NCAA okay and there are. There are plenty of problems with that. That does not make what he did right. It's not and so those was the conversations I would have because I'm with you man. He say whatever you want kids aspire to him. I mean they gravitate whatever to a lot of things I I understand. I understand that but things. That aren't Gopher I WANNA go cut deeper on why this is serious and why this is the state of Louisiana and people in power our. They're taking action against Odell Beckham Junior. You can blame the security guard all you want. It ain't him. This man is put everybody in jeopardy. We all know the deal with big. Tom Elite Sports. We know what all the way down to the mid American conference level where I played at people help these kids in ways that they can and there are are people that really had something to do with that great. Lsu Team in what they accomplished and they don't want the NC Double A.. nosing around asking a bunch of questions and that may create a trail to them because people have gone to jail recently. Moreover this the Adidas trial people we'll have just prosecutors have used these. NCWA rules to come up with some bogus charges to make people felons over violating relating NCWA. AMATEURISM rules all. BJ In his stupidity has put a lot of people in jeopardy. And that's why they need to disassociate associated he's not bigger than Lsu he's not so important to LSU football that they can't survive without him they have far more wealthier alums they they have far. More people were responsible for the recruits in the players. That they have which you don't want to set off what he has set off a bunch of. NCWA the people in the media and everybody else. Well let's go through. LSU with a fine tooth comb. There are people in power there in Louisiana that invested in and his team and in this program. That don't want any parts of that and this do we can't just look the other way because this dude is this year responsible this self absorb for this stupid. Yeah Shamo you'll Bj for your selfishness for now shining. A light on all the legalities were actually committing down here right now. We just want to keep the status quoque which is hey. LBJ You bring in the fans down here. Look I'll be guilty of this as we say in a lock. He was on one he got lost in the sauce. Whatever he was doing oh and he went to the degree? But it's funny when we talk about him and his self serving nature and attention seeking that a lot. The headlines are being made of him equipment the entire team with headphones. Illegal way the right way he sits down beats by dre three hundred fifty dollars value to everybody the Lsu affiliated and then he got in the moment and realized they were doing something that he's never seen before his family any went overboard guilty guilty guilty but this whole notion that ob Jay's going to be held to a standard at people in normal society are not going to be held to this whole role model versus influencers. That's it's absurd because role we used to say. Yesterday's athletes were role models they were just mislabeled. They were just under served and underpaid influences at at the time I didn't have the platform properly like Oh. BJ Does Right now oh. BJ shouldn't be held to any higher standard. Then we are then your neighbors are and it's funny. When we we say athlete in trouble we blow it up out of proportion even though all the statistics?.

"Favorite city for an event Just because of the ability to walk everywhere But then you know these news comes in Tornado wins and they move is everything in like countdown was inside on Saturday Basically they constructed the office and and redid everything so You know I ah people can read into it though everything already designated when you are coming into this game you know as far as facilities. Your hotels You you know where you're staying the whole the whole thing so I don't read too much into doubt you're already in the The walks phase. When you get here? You're not really really getting after it in practice so I think that was too much of a big deal will Lsu have a significant homefield advantage. Tonight it really fun. I keep bringing this up with people that That I've worked with that. Were here in twenty eleven twenty eleven obviously was the rematch. Lsu and Bama You know and I I was actually talking to Lsu people yesterday. I still think that is the most impressive resume I've ever seen in in a regular season college football and the the idea that they had the play Bama again just wasn't I not fair but it just it you you you look back in it and that season doesn't get do So you know in that game. I was talking to people on like I thought Obama had more people Blair than Lsu and all the people were really quick to point out like we didn't have one thing that cheer for that game was twenty one. Not right they. You didn't get the ball over the fifty yard line until the fourth quarter So that that kind of made sense to me But that's the most people I've ever seen here in the city when that game LSU Does have A more more presence here obviously and I think it's only going to increase today as you know. The majority of their fans could just drive into the city today. for the twenty the twenty eleven title game was the year the ninety six regular season. Game right yeah the yeah you know. Sometimes these things get overrated. You know in terms. I mean Clemson's going to get their fair should share tickets and they've got they got a fan base that travels big time and they won it last year but it it. It's not like you're walking into the superdome to face the saints. It tonight Clemson in terms of the crowd. I don't think any chance this game. How does this game state under sixty eight You know that that. I think it's an absolutely perfect number. The one thing I was thinking about those I was out at the first of all for Clemson in Ohio state and dropped a pass on the sideline. Thanks.

"To but Rabaul man like this the the the the the identity that he he is created with this team is it so perfectly done when he watch it like next week. I don't you think Henry can run the ball against Kansas City like that. That's all I can think of after seeing Kansas City. Do what they did but then come back another week later with all the fresher on them you now an unexpected home game to go to the Super Bowl. You have Andy Reid factory at the mahomes thing but like Tennessee. You know what you're going. Ah there and I I mean. He's the head coach of the Tennessee. Titans he played for the Patriots. Ohio state. You know the whole thing. I just think he's he was he gonNA take another the job like that. He's he's the guy that's more fascinating to me than Derrick. Henry is yeah I mean there you can tell they're really well coached defense all which which they've been you know this is. They beat Kansas City earlier in the year. When mahomes was back out the injury was his first gun back? You were very close. I mean if the you know Houston didn't win the game. They're up twenty four nothing in the game but you were very you know potentially close to sort of bellichik tree. Game with with O'Brien of rebel against a Shanahan which you do have in the NFC championship game. You've gotTa Shanahan coaching tree. Matchup in in Kyle against Leflore but give rebel very very impressive his team really since they made the move to Tannahill. They're seven and three or now nine. Three the two playoff wins. I mean they've been one of the better team since they switched to Tannahill. Yeah no doubt about it and I was wear them just because when they got on this Ron you know late in the year the to Oakland they I mean give them credit. They want all the Games but I think BEF- at.

Calhoun. Just tell you the story real quickly. I was at The year that they made that run where they won five games with Kemba Walker to win the title so I happened to have been in New York that we can and we went up there for like a long weekend with really good friends. Were staying gene at the New York Athletic Club and On that Saturday morning of the Big East final was Saturday night at Madison Square Garden My my buddy and I went down and we were just playing pick up basketball. There was like you know full court. Pick up basketball games going on in the gym and Playing for you you know an hour or so and at the end we saw the Connecticut basketball teams start to walk in to the gym. Because that's where they were practising And so the PR guy or somebody from Yukon comes over and walks out onto the floor in the middle. The game says you guys have to get off the floor of this game's over You know you guys gotta go uconn Con Basketball Teams here to practice and I said because I've got a big mouth I've said I said something like dude. We're one bucket away from the game winner you you know. We're the scores tied playing. We need one more bucket here and the guys no no no go and then I hear this big booming voice. Come out of the background. And it was. Calhoun Calhoun and he walks onto the floor. We'll just say sit here until you're done I swear to God and so we've finished the game. I mean it was over like three minutes later and then he said as we were walking off the floor he invited everybody to stay and watch tim practice. If we had any interest. which my buddy Jimmy and I did we sat there? We watch them practice and there are playing Louisville in the final. They were playing They they were playing that Louisville team which was a pressing team under Patino and all he was doing for the first thirty minutes it was walk through. They weren't aren't practicing because they were on night five. I think all they were working on was there press break and and it was actually really cool to watch him because I I love coaching. "Play to What game though? What throws Byron Rogers on that final? Dr Russell. Wilson is just so good. I thought when Seattle did get this. Stop down. Twenty eight twenty three and Russell. Russell Wilson got the ball back. I thought they were going to take the lead there with five minutes to go. There was a drop by Turner at Midfield. Big Big play in that drive and then there was a sack by Preston Smith on Russell Wilson. I think they would have gone for four and five. Had it been an incomplete on third and five but when Preston Smith sacked him with like three eight minutes to go It was a punt time because they had three timeouts left and they never got the ball back in. Green Bay is on to the title game where they are seven point underdogs. I personally don't think that they've got a good chance of beating the forty niners in that defense On the road I think we're GONNA see San Francisco in there I would not I would not definitively pick the winner of the Kansas City. Tennessee game would not shock me if Tennessee does it again at Arrowhead I'd rather see Kansas. The city mahomes against the forty niners. That'd be Super Bowl Aaron Rodgers was spectacular when he needed to be last night and I don't know how they didn't cover Davante Adams Adams better. Green Bay lost Kuro In that game they didn't really have any other options in Seattle. Who has not been a good defensive team this year just did not do a good job of of taking the one legitimate threat away Adams kept making catch after catch In that game the forty niners. They'll do a better job. Watch of taking Davante Adams added a game or limiting his opportunities So four games. Three of them pretty entertaining meaning One of them a blowout. That started the weekend The big takeaways once again Derrick Henry and his performance the titans performance in particular and man Patrick Metric mahomes in that Kansas City. Offense when they got behind twenty four to nothing spectacular All right quick mention of my bookie dot. Ag.

"Of all time the spirit of Radio Russian Camille per passed away the sixty seven years old on Friday arguably the greatest drummer in history. Jazz drummer to start with you. Know Aaron you know Oh my son Corbin whose musicians drummer guitar player really started on drums and he was devastated on Friday. I know you were too. 'cause you're big rush fan Dan I am as well genius. I mean one of those guys that most people in music we'll refer to sometimes it gets overblown as sort of a musical genius Most people think either he here. John Bonham You know there are others. I understand that In terms of the greatest drummers of all time if you want to see something that just just off the charts because all of these videos were making the rounds all weekend long that that that Drum Solo That performance that he put on the Letterman show like eight or nine years. Zero was just outrageous But it's sad because no one even knew that he had brain cancer. He kept it very private and one of those bands that you know. I was not into his young person. My younger brother was But got into more like twenty twenty years ago and have been a big fan ever since I mean. It's just you know it's that incredible change of time signatures. All that stuff in their music and neil pert was the genius is behind it although Getty Lee considered to be certainly one of the great bass players of all time as well but great band And RIP Neil pert ah that the reaction for his passing on Friday. We've seen this so many times over the last couple of years but for a drummer in a band in particular it was incredible. Incredible social media. Was You know people say what they say about rush some people like I'm some people don't but everyone acknowledged just how good he was exactly Anyway let's get to these Games What a weekend in the divisional round the two? AFC Games were obviously the highlights Although the Green Bay Seattle game was great the light of the weekend was the first game the San Francisco Minnesota game even though as a fourteen to ten game at halftime. Got Out of control. San Francisco is the much much better team. I'll I'll address that right now if you want. I'm because I know a lot of people out there sitting there waiting to hear me. You know Come with my hold on. Let me get my list of excuses for Kirk it is been working on it all weekend long and here. We are ten the top ten excuses as to why Kirk cousins lots of playoff game. I'm not GonNa do that I'll just say this if you really believe that he was the number one reason they lost that game. You you are really really. You're limited in your ability to sort of analyzing NFL game. That game was so one sided in every single phase of the game. San Francisco was better. Would an elite quarterback put his team on their back and lead them into a into a win in San Francisco. Go No the answer's not that Kirk isn't an elite quarterback so he never had a chance but Aaron Rodgers got his ass kicked there about a month and a half ago on a Sunday night. had seventy five yards passing until late in the game on a garbage drive. He picked up another twenty five and finished with one hundred and two yards yards passing Aaron Rodgers and got sacked five times against that defense. That defense got healthy Saturday. They had K.. One Alexander Back Not Ford back. They had Tarp back three guys that had been missing as they gave up some big yardage and points down the stretch. The last time that defense was completely healthy was was that Green Bay game. San Francisco's really good. Well coached defensively so fast. We've been talking about him since week. Three or four about how good they were defensively and they were fully healthy and Minnesota had no shot none Especially with the game plan they had is that offensive game plan was really bad gable. Look this is what they have. been under Zimmer. They've been a very conservative team. You know last year here when they made the coaching change and then put Stansky in there who who's now a head coach and Pat Shurmur is going to Denver so is the Jake Murphy thing official yet. I thought it was. I may not be official official but I thought Danske got the Cleveland job and that was the talk. I don't know if that had been official officially yep well whatever How about Jay Gruden Minnesota next year is the offense coordinator? Reuniting Park and very early thought I had I don't think it'll happen happen. I think it actually should. I think the two of them were I think kirk runs his offense. Well I think Jay didn't have anybody other than Kirk while he was in Washington that ran well So I actually think it would be a good reuniting. I don't think that they are Super Fun of each other But anyway Minnesota got their ass kicked. Yes the game plan a little bit too conservative for me. I would have mixed it up the constant trying to throw screens that defend Canola Fi. The pass rush just wasn't working against that kind of speed because their recovery was so good The Minnesota Offensive Line's been acidic times this year so that they got overwhelmed and they couldn't run the football if you WANNA look at one thing. If you'RE A MINNESOTA FAN as to why they didn't R- Win The game or competing game dalvin Cook nine carries eighteen yards. It's twenty one yards rushing against San Francisco. It wasn't going to work out at all They couldn't protect they. I would have been more aggressive. I would throw them in shotgun. Gone Hurry up and thrown real short you know not screened short but Tightened it up against especially against the cover. Two at times that he was looking at the two deep But look I mean what we do here I mean it's I tweeted this out. I think I tweeted it out. It's a pendulum with him. You know it's one week it's hear woo my my God look at how good he is and the next week. It's here lookout batty. Is You know they did throw up stat about his Record against teams with winning records. Regina quarterback rating is the exact same against actually. It's a little bit better. I think it was against good teams that he lost to versus the bad teams. That he's beaten It's a dependent game. He is a good quarterback period. He's not an elite quarterback. He's a good quarterback he somewhere in my book between eight and twelve twelve somewhere in. That range You WanNa put them at fifteen sixteen. I think that's way too low And I think if you put a good team around the League League can win and I think if you play a defensive in the forty niner defense he's GonNa perform wealthy last week against the saints. Whose defense actually isn't that bad either? let's talk about the games that were better this weekend. So the chiefs Houston game was I I think. One of the most electrifying fast break pace high pace fast paced games in the first half that I've ever watched there's one game and I'll give it to you in a moment that to me matches it in playoff history Going from twenty afford nothing in a matter of minutes to twenty eight twenty four in a matter of minutes was breathtaking. It was so good. I mean if you're a football van. It's a playoff game and you see what happened in that first. Half you're like Whoa I mean. How many times have you ever watched a game like that? And Twenty Four. Nothing courtesy of dropped passes by Kansas City. And then a blocked punt return a muffed punt that set up for a touchdown but Houston also also move. The football. Had A fifty four yard touchdown pass on third and one in the opening drive. Had another long drive that ended up in a field goal. They were dominating the Game Kansas City some of it was self inflicted. But they're dominating the game and then you got the kickoff return it twenty four to nothing and if you want to go back to plays earlier to the decision to kick the field goal on fourth and one I actually was okay with that decision. I'm going to surprise you and tell you that I didn't think bill. O'Brien had anything to do with losing that game yesterday. I think Patrick Mahomes had a lot to do with. Houston losing that game yesterday because the two critical calls that bill. O'Brien made the not going for the fourth down. Twenty one nothing in the second quarter order in a fourth and one situation I thought was the right call. I didn't think they should give Kansas City. Any chance to get life kicking the field goal would have kept the onslaught going. They kicked field. Took twenty four to nothing lead and then on the fake punt decision at twenty four to seven actually thought it was a really good feeling doing the moment risk that was worth taking. By O'Brien. It's fourth in four balls at their own thirty one yard line. Kansas City is scored. After a big kickoff kickoff return and then a touchdown to make twenty four to seven and they've got a three and out and I just thought I felt watching the game starting to turn a little bit here. And O'Brien had a a fake punt called and this Guy Sorenson made a phenomenal play. It was wide open. If he can allude Sorenson he's still running. Oh it was. It was absolutely group. I guess the question would be if you thought it was a good kind of feel in the moment and stopping momentum there. Why wasn't it good at fourth one because Kansas City hadn't started to take any momentum mm-hmm and I didn't want to give him the momentum so let's say that by kicking the momentum you lost your picking I don I lost no I think fourth-down stop would have would have given giving giving him the opportunity for a fourth down stop would have potentially given them some like they had no life kicking the field goal to make it twenty four to nothing? Didn't give him new life life. I didn't think I thought they got the life on that kickoff return And then that touchdown and then the three and out now they've really started to gain some momentum and I thought it would have been brilliant. I thought it was a risk worth taking. And if they had pulled it off they would have recaptured that momentum and may be gone onto ticket get twenty seven to seven lead or maybe even thirty seven cause the ball would have been at midfield. Sorenson doesn't make that play fifty. Plus I I. Actually I agree with you there. I think it was a risk worth taking but I also think it was a risk worth taking up twenty one. Nothing I just didn't I I just think at twenty one nothing. You had much more to lose by missing then you did in the fake punt situation and the fake punt offered more upside In that was making it to sort of regain Where you were any more downside because where it was on the field that's true that's true And that's what made it risky. You know 'cause if the balls at the Kansas City the forty five yard line I might think about going for it on fourth and three or four thousand four. Although I wouldn't have in that spot I would've I would've definitely punted These special teams James Place. In the first half the blocked punt return the muffed punt recovered the big kickoff return by Coleman at twenty four. Nothing huge plate the chiefs stop on the fake punt. That we're we're just talking about then. The fumbled kickoff return at twenty four to fourteen. My God have you ever seen so many impactful special teams plays in one half of football football. I mean everything about that first half was just like have you ever seen this. I mean and then mahomes gets on a roll in Houston. Couldn't can stop 'em in the Houston lost. What's his face in secondary and that hurt him a little bit and it just was an onslaught? The funny thing about that game is at halftime. I I didn't think Houston was out of it down four down four. Of course he they're not out of it score wise but the momentum it turned they missed the field goal at the end of the half to that would have made it twenty eight twenty seven even I just felt like Houston could move the football. You know what I mean like I. I never thought when when you when you're watching a game like that and you feel like the other team in Kansas City has a really good defense and Houston's not gonna be able to move the ball to possess the ball to score with the ball then you don't think they have a chance after they've given up twenty eight unanswered but the thing about that game is I felt like Houston would be able to move the ball and score points in the second half. And they they had the one touchdown drive at forty one twenty four to get it to a forty one thirty one And then they moved the ball..

"How's it going today man going well man Pretty good Monday morning here. Big Game Tonight here. We are the final game. Here we are at the final game national championship. The Tigers will win. Just depends on if it's Clemson or Lsu here in this one and it so a little. Bit Jumbled here this morning it has been a busy ass morning man you know a lot of the prompting stuff not posted early on which is remarkably remarkably frustrating to me. Talk this thing up like it's the Super Bowl. They got sixteen days between the semi's the National Championship game and book still unwilling willing to put themselves out there with these low limits on the prop bets. A lot of stuff going up over the weekend in here this morning massively frustrating for both of us. Yeah it is because We figured last week that everything would be up You know plenty of time for us to talk about it here today and here. We are late Monday morning and still not that much off. It's it's pretty surprising like you. We were talking here beforehand. It's not like they couldn't plan for it and there was plenty of time to get ready so A little bit frustrating. It makes This morning a little bit more difficult to talk about too many of the props but we'll do the best we can. Yeah that's all we can do here is do the best we can. I mean you know I I feel like last year. I mean we had individual defensive player props we felt we had a lot more stuff for Clemson Alabama last year. And you know I mean. I guess we'll get posted sit throughout the day but obviously very tough for us to talk about those types of things here on today's show and tough to write about them as well but before we get into the prop stuff here kyle. We did touch on this game a little bit last week as you mentioned. LSU MINUS Five. This one came off a five and a half over the weekend and also through the total now l.. Coming out a little bit as low as sixty seven and a half out there. Yeah you know. It's been interesting to see the line movement here One thing I did want to point out about the side here here Mister pretty much. Tell you everything you need to know. As far as where the sharp money is where the the public money is. You gotta five at bookmaker. Five at pentacle whole Bova. Six and a half mybookie at six and a half LSU MINUS One fifteen so some pretty interesting odds there clearly the public side is Lsu Clemson the sharp side in this one. I can't disagree with that. You know this is one of those where you know as we talked about last last week. This is a really big reaction to one game and you know I feel like this is one of those games. Where if you take Clemson and you lose you say you know what this is? The type of bet that wins fifty five percent of the time you know these are the types of reaction overreactions to where I have to bet eh if it if it loses it loses you know I I can feel good about the fact that you know. I have to fade and overreaction of that type so while it certainly family could lose and Lsu could win this game by fourteen points or more or something like that. I do feel like Clemson as the right side. When it comes to not overreacting to one game you just saw? Aw Yeah I completely agree with you again. I mean like we talked about last week coming into the semi-finals even with Lsu and the opportunity to play here in New Orleans very close to Baton Rouge obviously as Davos. Sweeney told us over the weekend because you know he had to. I had clemson minus one coming into this hypothetical legal national championship game. It's six points off for my number based on what we saw in the semi-finals and and again I mean yeah. LSU Took Oklahoma in the woodshed. Oklahoma wasn't that good of a football team. We knew that over the course of the year I talked about it. All the way in the lead up to the semi-finals they'd play one. Good half they'd play one bad half. They struggled both times with Baylor loss to Kansas State. Oklahoma just wasn't that good of a team clemson played in some people's minds the best team in the country in Ohio state. If Ohio state wasn't number one Clemson was number one in a lot of those people's minds so massive overreaction here to say the least I grabbed this one of the rogue five and a half here this morning I was hoping for a six. We never really got one of not posted Levada. I'm not taking the six and a half there but I've even play some alternate turn. It spreads here on Clemson plus four plus three and a half plus three stuff like that and again I mean this is because I'm in love with Clemson. I think that they do ultimately to win the game. I I will have a piece of the money line here but again. Just the massive overreaction to what this number would have been an if I get caught with my hand in the cookie jar here and my pants down. You know what props to Joe Borough props the doors Ron props. Lsu for what will have to be a great performance tonight. Yeah definitely me. I mean you know the the fan side of me I'd like Lsu to win based on. You know what happened in the last game. And also I am reading for Joe Borough He's likely to the essence natty Bengal next obviously used to be a Buckeye I like borough I like Lsu and general what they've done. I think one thing that should be pointed out as some people we'll have said in the lead up to this game I've seen this on. TV in some of the obviously very deep analysis there You know it's one of those spots where they've been musing Clemson's last game against them you know. Clemson did not play their best game against Ohio. State or Clemson wasn't very impressive. Ohio state was a really good team. This shear and I'm not just saying that because I'm a buckeyes fan but clemson played an excellent team and it may well be that Ohio state was the number one team. They were power rated number one one by many people for a lot of the season. So the fact that Clemson didn't look great against Ohio state I don't think that that should be a huge knock on them. You Know Ohio states that good especially compared to Oklahoma so you know there's a lot of difference between those two teams and I think Clemson may getting discredited a bit too quickly because of that performance formats. Yeah I think so too and again like I talked about it. We'll transition over the prop side of things here. You're like I talked about one of the props that I'm kind of looking at here. This is sort of my long shot dot probe is the double result prop LSU leads at halftime. Clemson wins the game. And That's plus eight hundred you can find that about online also over at GSI. Yes I and the reason being think back to that semifinal game clemson had a hard time getting up to the speed of that game getting up to the talent level of Ohio state getting up to a planner and a preparer like Ryan Day with the athletes at his disposal. Oil seats should have put that game away early. In the first half they should have been up twenty eight nothing at the break. Maybe twenty eight seven if you give Clemson that pick six but it was a situation. Where Clemson just penn had in an adjustment period there? I think the same could be very possible tonight. If that does happen you know what I did. Take clubs position pre flop. You may end up getting Clemson. Clemson plus eight plus eight and a half something like that from a live betting standpoint because I think there is a possibility that it does take the Tigers the Clemson Tigers. That is a little the time to adjust to this game too that LSU talent level but Brent Venables makes adjustments man. Jeff Scott Dabbled Sweeney. They they make adjustments. You don't do what dabbles done as an underdog in the playoff semifinals in ball games against teams without the ability to adjust so that could be a possibility here tonight and that is Kinda my longshot prop here if LSU rides the wave of the crowd goes out there. Borough puts on a show in the first half. You Damn well know Clemson's going to adjust and I don't see Clemson ever being out of this game. What's like the Ohio stake? I don't see them ever being out of it so. LSU You first half clubs at second half plus eight hundred something. I just went ahead and took a little bit of a shot on. Yeah I think that's definitely were to shop because You know who's better adjusting the venables. You know I think that. LSU's offense is more likely to have success in the first half in the second half in my opinion You I know. That's why wall. Sometimes I like to take unders early on in these championship games. I wouldn't like the under early in this game and I will say that I I would lead the over on the total here and I put up a a free ride up on better sports fix DOT com. About what exactly my number was in my thinking for. Why didn't end up playing the over? But I do still leaned the over I think that Lsu is a as more likely to start out quick and his clemson partially to because Clemson has played such bad scheduled throughout the course of the season. You know this is a Clemson team. That's really played a week schedule but once they get into that game get a little bit ways into playing that really tough opponent They're more likely to rise to that level and they have just such good coaching. I you know I'm not saying anything against LSU's coaching Very Good coaching staff. But Yeah I don't think anybody's. Coaching staff is better than Clemson. So I I liked that as well I think that you know. LSU being in the first half and Clemson winning the game overall would but not surprise me at all so plus what what is eight hundred. Yeah that's a good. I think that's pretty good price. Yeah I thought it was worth a shot I mean again. You know you're not looking to go nuts with a lot of these props and some of these exotic pets and stuff like that you take your bigger positions on the things that you're more comfortable with something aside and total here for this game but I I do think there are some opportunities out there and another one that I kind of took a look at here and this one is only available at five times based on what I've seen the wording on this promise absolutely absolutely asinine what it's Lsu to timeouts remaining I so basically Lsu calls the first time out between the the two teams. I don't know why the hell it's not just first time out climate minus one ten LSU minus one thirty. This was actually minus one twenty earlier on. Maybe I'm out. They're moving lines or something like that. But you know my thought process here is. Can we talk about venables. And we talk about him and his adjustments but also something that makes him so good is that he has the personnel on defense to confuse. The opposing quarterback the back seven for Clemson very very very versatile Simmons can line up in coverage in the slot in coverage on the outside. He could play safety. He can rush the passer. You could put guys like tanner music different places. As you've got the odd fronts for clemson unbalanced fronts. That really bothered Ohio. State in the second half of that semifinal game they give the quarterback a lot to look get pre snap and I think Joe Borough even though he's such a cerebral guy even though he's such a smart quarterback it can be tough. You're in a game of this magnitude even though people will look at this game and say well clubs. It's going to call the first time out because it's going to be such earl. LSU proud yeah that could be the case right the what venables. Apple's does sky's coverage the skies. Let's give borough a lot to look at with those free snap. Reads spree snapped at ups. I think Lsu to call the first time takes a lot of sets here yet. I got it by one twentieth now minus one thirty but I still like it there. Yeah I don't I don't know that I have a real strong opinion on on that one. In General I. I do think it's interesting that you know the wording that one is who has two timeouts left. I mean unless somebody's given four timeouts to start with that we don't know about you. Know it seems like it would have made more percents word it differently. Yeah I I don't get it. I've whatever anyway so let's take a look at here for the big game tonight. I'll tell you only one juan here so far in that was E. T. N. Travis T. N.. Over one thirty eight and a half rushing and receiving yards combined this was minus one twenty yesterday on five five dimes down minus one forty I like it less at one forty..

"LSU Lit Texas up in Africa and fourteen years without an offense a first rounder which is the last one was vince young. They don't have one again. I mean it was with a lost to Lsu and a probable loss to Oklahoma in week seven they will just coast through through the pitiful second half of their schedule prior to attending to finish and a bowl matchup with whoever's the first team out of the playoffs possibly pull an upset over a disgruntled and disinterested interested team a lot last year versus Georgia and then we start the broken record over again from song one next year so is it safe to say that you are saying. Texas is in fact not back. Texas is not back. I do know this watch. The film analyzed it. The first two drives were an indication of how the game would go. They stalled out on the goal line twice in a row on fourth down. Once was a dropped pass and well schemed up play and kid drop the past some do some don't gotta make that I play a game changer for momentum everything and then the second fourth down there feeling dismantled their their their lack motivation and they're just they're feeling defeated already because they got stopped on the last goal line stand now. They're in another one on fourth down and I can promise you on fourth down. Watch watch the quarterback sweep with the tailback lead. If Tim Beck and Tom Herman are calling the place the quarterback was also the leading rusher by double the amount of carries of anyone else on the team. Buckeye fans sound familiar. This is a broken record and I could we could it's the same story over and over again but how `Bout Joe Borough Jose Barrosa and better yet. My favorite part of the game by far was Jim Burrow him say Jim Burrow Zero was a was a was a good great college football player. He was a college football coach. Tom Recruited Tom Herman recruit his son. I mean it's this is a guy right. A real dude and JOE throws his first touchdown pass and what does Jim Burrow do straight horns downs. That's all you need to didn't know about Tom. Herman Texas fateful love it of former well respected Standup Guy College football coach who his son was recruited by Tom. Hermit was so excited that his son threw a touchdown pass against him against him and his team that he did the most disrespectful full thing in the world to a Longhorn. He went horns down on that ass. Did it throw a flag they did not and I don't believe he got a cease and desist letter either not yet not yet but but I will tell you this. My favorite part of the pre-game hype was the real. DB You shirts. I will tell you this Texas Athletic Department Limit Chris Del Conde. I'm going to send you a cease and desist letter today to Texas to your Athletic Department on behalf of Ohio State Eight. Lsu Alabama you name it the the list of schools that might have an argument for real DU the Real Du three one one hundred yard receivers in a game. That's the fake. DB You at all three of them averaged over eighteen yards a catch four hundred seventy one yards four touchdowns the one interception that Texas defense his head was a linebacker. You Texas are most certainly not d.`you there. They were Jose. Barrosa really looks good really good. I will tell you this their twentieth and twenty first. I guess worst the worst two grades on defense the dead last two players on defense where they're starting corners. Kobe Bryson Jalen Green they were targeted twelve times gave eleven catches for two hundred nine yards and a touchdown your to starting corners. Du We are also also seeing we also saw on Saturday was the emergence of a star at the wide receiver position. Justin Jefferson had a game against debut nine end catches one hundred sixty three yards and three touchdowns. He only trails Jerry Judy who I've said many times I think will win the belichick off nationally as far as receiving grades. It's through two weeks. That was a game that was that translates to roughly fifty two points in fantasy football now the one of the greatest overreactions I think to the game was vaulting..
