Any transaction that is related to we chat by any person or respect to any property subject to the jurisdiction of the United States with an holdings led in Shenzhen China or any subsidiary of that entity as identified by the Secretary of Commerce under section one C of this order. Blue Ubisoft activision blizzard among others after panic gripped eastwards twitter for about an hour calm returned when an La Times reporter confirmed that gaming companies would not actually be affected by this order. "The Lakers for sure do. How do you feel about the Lakers and finals? Better worse than before I'm like I have no idea I have no idea. We don't what any of these seams are going to be like when they get back together, we don't know. Who's going to handle the quarantine? Well and who is not going to handle it well, what teams are going to get sick of each other? What teams are going to? You know what teams need that crowd noise, the most fuel fuel off of often that energy like. WHO'S GONNA lose players because they tested positive for coronavirus. I. Mean these there are so many variable who's going to have an injury because of the long layoff I mean there's so many variables I think. This is just right for chaos, and so you know I. I I mean that's not to say. It's not going to be an incredible accomplishment. Whoever wins the title because it will be? They'll be doing it under some very. Difficult circumstances, but it's just it's I. Mean in. Ashish just means that it's not like the rest of. You know there's something different about this one soon I think there has to be. was there an asterisk after the What was it the ninety nine season whatever season that was the spurs won. The Championship and Phil Jackson. There is I remember talking back. There was an actual printed esther to that. I don't know. That that is actually printed I think there's more of a philosophical Astra's very philosophical very good. And I feel like the idea of the asterisk is always brought up as a bad thing, you know I I feel like it doesn't have to. Yeah, it doesn't have to be because I think Tony is point. It does need to be signified. This is different. Different doesn't necessarily mean illegitimate. It just means that this is our are different than anything else that we've ever encountered, and this has been brought up several times. docker mentioned today. He said he talked to and silver about this recently that the winner of this should deserve on just a title or an, but like a gold star. Says it's you know it's like an endurance test as much as it is a basketball game. In Purple Heart or something? Yeah, exactly yeah. It's yeah. It should be remembered. Some people say off-road out. Throw it out whatever, but you have to remember it one way or the other. Yeah, I'm just thinking of young fans now that we'll be telling their kids about that crazy pandemic season you know. And they went to Bobble, and all kinds of play for the feds eat. It's crazy. I remember my dad telling me stories of you know that during the war and they didn't have guys to play baseball with all that stuff you know, and it just seems so far and to me, but we're actually living through that right now. So God willing we will live through it, and they'll get through the bubble, and somebody will be hosting the Larry. O'Brien trophy in front of nobody, but you know. It'll be it'll be pretty. Exactly, so. Is a headed to the bubble. You going at the same time, or what's what's happening with that you? Don't think we quite know the answer to that yet we're. We're still waiting for the I mean the the NBA has to decide who they're only letting ten reporters into the bubble, also so they've got to decide who those who those outlets will be but I think you know. Then there's the option of the outside the bubble. Covering the teens from outside the bubble, but in Orlando so I think that's still sort of. Sort of being sorted out TVD. Yes I, get you. Yeah, but I think we both expect to be there at some, if not at the beginning because depending on. We. Do expect to be there at some point for a decent stretch of the time. Yeah well if I hope you're both in the bubble and I'm there otherwise I gotta wave to you from inside? Boy in the bubble things you know, but. But listen guys I really really appreciate you guys doing this today and leading off our first episode. Of Our partnership together and the sixteen week block of restarting the clock so. Be well be safe I know I'll see you somewhere virtually or read or whatever, but hopefully I'll see you guys in person that at some point down in Orlando, so thanks again for today I appreciate it. Thanks for having I. Thank.

Los Angeles black-owned businesses are open, seek support

"Restaurants in southern California all across the country have had a brutal three months forced to close down the in house dining is a corona virus was spreading they've taken tremendous losses and then even after the re opening of parts the economy restaurants had to operate under different restrictions and then just a few days into that re opening protests over the death of George Floyd broke out across the country and curfews were issued for most major cities here in LA county those curfews have touched off a lot of frustrations for small business owners Kim prince is the owner operator of hot filled chicken in the Baldwin hills Crenshaw neighborhood Kim first of all the names I'm I'm already getting hungry hot feel and sound it sounds good so tell us about some of the issues you have because you're old raring to go I'm gathering and then you have to put the brakes on because of the curfew yes our thanks for give me a call and thinking of me and I'll have the chicken has been here since December of two thousand nineteen so we just opened a few short months ago and we were in the planning stages of gathering do re opening of the outdoor patio and dining room area but we are trying our best to brave the storm that we're currently facing this curfew the new for me at that day I didn't witness the thank god for now the national Tennessee but right now I can't say business has been great because people are out supporting and yesterday was black out Tuesday and there's a huge show support for black owned businesses to help them LA times article that's another like on my publication called ink dot com they say published on all these different black businesses in the southern valley area south LA and and echo park in Glendale and other places I mean you know we have black owned businesses now which is wonderful and great exposure but in light of the curfew since they're really tough having the luxury travelers and everybody's just rocking and reeling from that storm yeah so what is it been like people trying to get there during the day obviously before six PM our guest tonight and get a little more leeway by nine PM but to go from closures and only doing take out and I'm sure that was a huge hit and then to be so hopeful that you were gonna be able to open it was it was the weekend when all this got going over over this last week and that was that was the first weekend for the for the dining back in the restaurants that's correct you're so right and then I also went out on Friday and then and the protests and they'll start in various cities on Thursday and Friday and you know for Los Angeles alone while we're seeing a lot of them unrest and people protest and then some people argue that the well are right here in my own pocket here and didn't account for the Stargate assemble it's really quiet the the social support again it's been great and you know the word on the street is that we're not going terrible neighborhood what happened nineteen ninety two is very real and fresh in a lot of minds of those who live here I wasn't over a resident at the time but nobody remembers the run the king riots in nineteen ninety two and the Crenshaw district where I am now doing business it it's still not a hundred percent return to what is former glory was because there's a lot of empty buildings and never reopened because of that so those who remember the night to ride so we're not going to relive that again and so in support of black businesses again get ready to reopen it aren't I'm I'm grateful for everybody that's been coming in support in my business now the other colleague the monitoring in the food industry it's great that they are able to do this off the court this is the type of glory you always need and we need to support every

New charges in George Floyd's death as protests sweep nation

"Minnesota's attorney, general announced new charges today in the death of George Floyd tonight I spoke to Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison. He says his office will prepare. Organize and put on the best case possible, but quote at the end of the day. It's really in the hands of the. The jury joining me now is NBA Legend Kareem? Abdul Jabbar so much for being with us as I said, you wrote a piece in the La Times a couple of days ago that he just thought was was really done and I just wanted to talk to you about it. I of although I'd like to get your thoughts on the news that the other three officers involved in Mr Floyd's death his murder had been charged, and that officer a former officer Chauve in. His charges have been upgraded to second degree murder. Is that a step toward justice in your mind? I think it's certainly a step toward justice, and I think that Just the fact that the governor and the mayor really acted quickly and decisively and set a tone for how we should react to this horrible incident. It's so interesting to me how? Different people in this country seat react differently to nunnelee. What are you know what they saw in the video of the killing of Mr Floor? But also what they see in the videos we're showing right now. Protests on people protesting on the streets. You wrote in the La Times and it's a bit of a long paragraph, but I just think it's a really important one that I want to read read. It's you wrote. Yes, protests, oftener uses excuse for some to take advantage just as when fans celebrating the Hometown Sports Team Championship. Burn cars and. And destroy storefronts. I don't WanNa. See stores, looted, or even buildings burn, but African Americans have been living in a burning building for many years. Choking on the smoke is the flames burn closer and closer racism in America's like dust in the air seems invisible. Even if you're choking on it until you let the sun in, then you see, it's everywhere as long as we keep shining light, we have a chance to cleaning it wherever it lands, but we have to stay vigilant because it's always still in the air. Can you talk about how? Different people see different protests, and and why you wrote that paragraph. Well I wrote that paragraph because I I tried to. Set up an analogy that that people could understand you know I. There's another way of describing it. It's like you know. The United States is this wonderful bus. With great seats in the front of the bus, but as you go further to the back of the bus, two seats get worse and the fumes from the exhaust leaking and. Really Record People's Health and Their lives. But the people at the front of the bus. They have no complaints. I it's. It's kind of like that When I describe the the dust in the air and then just accumulates in the lives of black Americans and I. It just eliminates all of the mechanics of democracy. Democracy doesn't work for us we are last fired her. Last hired first fired We have a different. Set of expectations from the criminal justice system. So many ways of of American life discriminating against Black Americans. And finally I think we. We've come to a moment of clarity here where. It can result in such a horrible incident that we saw with with Mr Floyd's death. President Obama spoke today about Y- and I I'm paraphrasing because his words are former eloquent than than my memory of them but. Essentially channeling the energy that we are seeing this extraordinary outpouring and sustained outpouring to real. Systematic change and I'm wondering how you think that is possible, I mean. Do you think it's possible you know? Marching in the streets is extraordinarily powerful. Where does it lead to? That makes real change. I think as possible, Anderson. If it leads to forming a political will within our country to do something, something has to be done. It's It's not enough to say that was terrible. And my thoughts and prayers are with you that that that's not getting anything done we have to. We have to change the circumstances. It's been almost thirty years since Rodney, King Incident D. did you see that as a routine traffic stop? If any white American had. An a relative, get drunk and get stopped by the police in relative beaten. Those people would be up in arms. But Yet Thirty s pass. Nothing has changed. There's been a lot more other dead black Americans and guide really for no good reasons misdemeanors. Eric Garner died because he was selling. Cigarettes illegally You know these are triple things to take someone's life over and we have to. We have to get to the point where we have to do something about that and I think. This will cause the political will maybe to to to grow, and maybe we can get something done. I mean. Yeah, you talk about or Garner Mr? Floyd was accused, not convicted for anything accused. Passing Counterfeit Twenty Dollar Bill and and the man is dead. When you. What was that about the passing a bad bill? You get killed for that? That's horrific.

Churchgoer potentially exposed 180 others to COVID-19

"Many people are itching to get outside and socialize especially as the weather gets warmer around the country but there's a fight to contain the virus corona virus still very much in full force and parts of southern California for instance the number of infections and deaths are relatively flat but as people gather health officials are saying new hot spots and spikes in the number of cases for more on California's efforts to contain the virus we have doctor George Rutherford via Skype he's an epidemiologist at the university of California San Francisco welcome Dr thank you so much well Dr let's start with the numbers a new deaths in California he stayed basically flat at about seventy a day up from a glance at the chart it looks like we're not seeing a steep decline in infections a California took a proactive approach in shutting down cities and implementing social distancing measures very early on why aren't we seeing better results well it's because transmissions on going and these deaths are occurring among people who are infected probably two to three weeks before and you know it's as long as there's ongoing transmission will continue to see deaths now it is black it's not going up and that's heartening but we would really like to see it coming down why is there on going transmission there's ongoing transmission I think first and foremost among people who live in large households and sold large multi generational families work passes from one person to another to another to another and it just keeps going also people get it when they go outside and especially if they're not wearing masks and if they're going into places where people are too close together and then finally we see a few cases among essential workers still and all of all of this in many ways is interconnected because when you talk about essential workers many of them may live in homes with lots of family members are intergenerational family members as you mentioned at the beginning as one of the complications to the stay at home order yes absolutely and and so these things do like together but to the extent that we can disentangle them and limit transmission outside of the home that's what's gonna take to get us down to a handful of cases this summer and moving from the governor stage two to the governor stage three re opening I mentioned southern California the state is not homogeneous and southern California seems to be doing worse than northern California why is that well to start with it's bigger I think the other thing probably that's going on is that at least compared to the bay area the rest of the state which include southern California went to a shelter in place orders about four days later and in southern California it really didn't seem like it sunk in until the following Monday so was almost six days later which represents at least one if not two generations of transmission of the virus of the chains of transmission or longer they're more cases by the time we went to a shelter in place order I think the other thing is are probably more introductions into southern California than there were in northern California you mean people coming into the state correct both from Asia but in Los Angeles print particular from Europe we know several chains of transmission that were tied to people coming from areas in Europe where there had been transmission that was a real big problem in New York with hundreds of new introductions from overseas I also want to ask you about something else their concerns that some of the rule counties are now moving further and to re opening and that they just don't have enough testing so some of those counties re opening are doing five to ten tests per one thousand people that's according to the LA times is that enough no I don't think so I think you know the governor's goal is to be able to have two hundred test per ten thousand people per day a lot of these cars are very small you know that they're gonna be able to get away with with fewer tests but on a per capita basis it should be about the same level and so I think that's something that needs to be worked on going forward now the chan Zuckerberg bio hub at university of California San Francisco is testing specimens for any local health department from anywhere in California so there is capacity for testing if they want to get the specimens down to San Francisco you know I mentioned earlier that we are saying some spikes and in southern California in particular we're hearing about these events where a single person can infect many others in Pasadena for instance officials traced a cluster of cases to a woman coughing at a birthday party what do you take away from that I mean there's also mother's day services in northern California Butte county that may have exposed a hundred and eighty people is it just impossible to have gatherings until we have a vaccine I think that's a fair way of thinking about it yes it's impossible to have gatherings unless people have masks on and they're outside and they're socially distance which seems like none of those conditions and get them back by either of the events you're citing you know it's just too dangerous you know you hope that they're no mortality from either of these events but it's playing with fire and you know we understand that people want to be able to get back to the life they used to leave you just can't happen quite yet I think that there's a really great example from Hong Kong which has had you know several thousand cases but only four deaths what they're doing is everybody wears masks and I think that the whole idea of wearing masks is what's going to get us out of this lease out out of it until we get to a

Shanghai Disneyland reopening, Hollywood still in limbo

"California is starting to very gradually try to reopen with the economy. Swooning people are eager to get out of their houses but scared. Meanwhile Hollywood is very eager to try to figure out how to go forward and we're seeing the beginning of things. I mean Disney which has just did an earnings call where they said. They were absolutely bludgeoned to one surprised by this but expressed confidence in their underlying strength. Disney is looking at opening the theme park in Shanghai with restrictions and starting to take reservations for hotels. I in the United States. Yeah this is an interesting one because we got up. I peek at the damage that has been done to the Walt Disney Company and granted. This is for Q. Two they just announced results and that was only a few weeks of the virus and profits plummeted so much that they're no longer going to do a dividend for shareholders. They are cutting costs right and left and this is only the beginning. I mean Q. Three is really when the virus took hold and all of the parks and the movies and the sports. Espn all of that has been shut down so the Q. Three numbers are just going to be catastrophic. So they're trying to take steps to bring this stuff back and when you look at the Shanghai situation yes. They are going to reopen the park. But it is GONNA BE DRAMATICALLY. Different only twenty five percent capacity. They're going to have distancing in the lines for ride so you're going to have people waiting six feet from each other. Everybody in the park is going to have to wear protective gear except for the characters. And they're gonNA be appropriately distant so the Disney experience at this park is going to be dramatically different and it's sort of a test case to see whether the rest of the world can have their parks reopened. Yeah we see also Ted Saran. Does the chief content officer at net flicks wrote an op? Ed in the La Times this past week talking about how can begin again. I mean this is an existential issue. Obviously for the entertainment industry and he is talking about things like filming in South Korea Japan and Iceland talking about Sweden and Norway Sweden where where they've had a high death rate higher death rate than other Nordic countries. Because they're they're not being strict and but he says they've learned a lot of things and they've they're developing safety protocols. Obviously South Korea has a great track record on testing. They can check temperatures regularly. I think that's a little iffy I mean. I don't know that I would be confident that somebody said I have no temperature and therefore I am negative. I wouldn't I don't think we're anywhere near being confident. That but okay and you know he's talking about Iceland where you also have testing and in Sweden where know as I said they. Protocols are not as good they have people who on crew who volunteered to self quarantine for two weeks and remain in quarantine throughout a shoot. So you know we're seeing people try to get this. It's not the same as Hollywood cranking out of injures movies that's for sure no and I don't think that's going to happen for a while but you've heard ideas. I mean the CEO Viacom CBS. Said that they're looking at the studio shows as potentially being able to come back. I because that is a controlled environment with a studio audience. You can either eliminate that or have a appropriate social distancing you can have sanitation processes within a controlled studio environment but these big blockbuster movies that require hundreds and hundreds of people on set. I think that that's a really far timetable.

"You're getting a deal but one but there are other incentives beyond the the fuel card so Hundai if the CAR Hundai pockets the federal tax break on this which instantly drops down the price of the lease right And then there's a California rebate on these cars as well carpooling them by yourself and you can carpooling them by herself. That's that's the job so it kind of adds up to a pretty enticing package I don't know if I'd have another one at once. My lease is up but I'm enjoying it right now and look. "Before we dive into our story let me introduce myself. I'm an investigative journalist and I live outside Philadelphia. Pennsylvania one day in January two thousand five. A A woman named Andrea Constand went to the police and said Bill Cosby had drugged and assaulted her. When I first heard Andrews Account I was skeptical but as I dug into the details of her story for the Philadelphia Daily News where I was working at the time. I came to believe Andrea and I've stayed with her story for the past fifteen years I was a big cosby fan when this all began. The cosby show debuted my senior year in high school.
