T1 meets T1, Faker's Esports Org signs LoL's most controversial (and popular) streamer
"Minute presented by E Sports Network t one meets t one and League of Legends greatest player pair off with the game's most famous streamer. At least in the West Tyler one is one of the most controversial figures in the League of Legends Community mystery or became one of the most popular figure heads of the game mostly for his hilarious. But total toxic commentary Riot decided they didn't want Tyler wanted to be the face of the game and ban the streamer for two years from 2016 to 2018 during that time. Tyler one's popularity kept growing and fans would bring him. I said free tyler1 to LCS matches. He also is supposedly reformed from his toxic ways after being reinstated, but if you asked some higher-ranked League of Legends players on any servers, whether that's true Faith Like lie to get some mixed answers regardless right has welcomed him back and now so has its most famous Esports Org the winningest organization in Eagle Legends history is making a big push into a variety of other. Sports at the center of the org is Faker the best League of Legends player of all time and arguably the most famous Esports player to ever compete in any game Faker and tyler1 are actually friends or at least have Chrome content together in the past. I suppose it's hard to be toxic to a 3 time World Champ even for Tyler in an interview with Esports Observer, which I'll link below T1. CEO Joe Marsh said quote from us with someone like Tyler review this more as a Content creation partnership versus just a strict streaming deal with um, as a Creator. He doesn't need us for streaming. He's one of the biggest names in the game for us. It was about continuing to our field our brand here in the west. We have our anchor team here in Valor in but our league team is out in Korea and we're just building Roots here in the United States as we're historically career. So the idea of doing content with Tyler was really enticing a big personality and he's a great guy to work with there's no doubt. He's a big personality Marsh also

"Before I, get into the specifics of each region. Let me break down some of the overarching storylines first and foremost the event is going to be twenty two teams instead of twenty four teams, and that's because Vietnam can't make it due to cold but it does seem like it's going to be held in purse. We know that the players are traveling to Shanghai for the event we know that the L. P. L. Finals in China were held in arena with no fans. So even though right hasn't told us yet everyone's assuming that's how world's GonNa. Plan also for the first time this year, the two regions with the most. Recent International Success China and Europe will be sending four teams to the event which may seem small, but is a big deal for League of legends fans for a long time fans have complained that some of the strongest teams get locked out a world's because each region is only allowed to bring a certain. So hopefully, this helps that problem all that said, maybe the most exciting global storyline headed into worlds. This year is the lack of a midseason invitation for the first time in the modern era of League of legends. We have absolutely no idea how these teams stock up against each other and that's got me really excited. Because anything could happen with that said, we do have a favorite chart. Yeah. It's official China has overtaken South Korea as the region to be in international alleges that may not be news to many of you. But this year's world championship is certainly a changing of the guard for a lot of people. It's clear that China is the favorite for this event but they also look like the deepest region to characteristics we've used to describe South Korea coming into worlds for a long time with that in mind there's also another changing of the guard happening within the Chinese region itself at the upper echelon of the region we've got the favorites. For the Event Talk Sports and JD gaming tours you would not describe as legacy Chinese ORCS. This year in China young teams like Jd talk were able to come out ahead of legacy teams like royal and invictus gaming who were used to seeing the top of the standings even fun plus Phoenix. Last year's champions didn't even make it back as for who the best team in China as well. That's still up in the air JD G. and talk played in both the Spring and summer finals this year in both very close series and they split them. So I guess we'll find out WHO's better at world's Miss Jack up debts on. Who's incredibly look good. Avi. Full. His wasn't available and it's going to be peaceful both winning out defy toby's paused waiting out the series as they take Elda. Let's talk through the Dow. It's three, hundred, sixty nine to finish the fight. The old guard fall in a new era begins in the L. p. l.. After years of denial, the second place was no longer good enough and talk eastbound all your l. p. l. twenty, twenty, Japan. Now, joining those two Chinese teams is the other quote unquote really good team at world this year damn one from Korea. That's great. Would you send? The all now, the team by Merrill looking for pulverised talking Carey is going to go down. All in trouble. There's nothing we can do. Yeah. Congratulations to dom on for the first time one about teams promoted from the challenges career. That said similar to those teams from China. They don't come sporting legacy Korean names with a ton of world's experience. These guys are young guns. There is a little bit of a question mark though notary has lapsed lung and we're going to have to see how much practicing he actually gets done with his team before world's between notary and they're made or show maker Damn. One possessed the kind of generational solo lane talent were used to seeing from. Korea even last year when Damn One underperformed at world's there was a lot of eyes on these guys and it's time to show that they can do. It at the highest level. All right. Let's talk about Europe at the beginning of this year. There was hope hope that somebody could finally win a split that wasn't fanatic or gt some up and coming team like Rogan mad lines could put it all together and finally take down these two juggernauts. But like clockwork G to ended up winning both splits to make it four in a row and beat fanatic in the finals both times you can see actually in the basis, cats is going into the win not to way to close out this game one will reckless young coast goes in and helps them get. Tax is in the pace ten splits eight titles cheats who are the greatest teamer we have. Produced in Europe, and they go back back back back, win the summer season. which continues a rather incredible. Of the sixteen total European splits that have happened fanatic or g to one fifteen of now with that said I think the big question on everybody's mind when it comes to Europe is candy to compete internationally like they did last year well, this year G to certainly don't look as dominant there are question mark surrounding their land for a lot of the summer. And Cap certainly had to do a little bit more hearing from the mid lane. Then he may be one of light that said they did prove it last year they can compete with some of these top teams and with no Amazon this year, the rest of the world is not taking you to lightly and finally we've got North America the only major region. Not, looking to win Carpet Korea's got Damn Juan de Rex China's got the two favorites for the tournament and Europe's got g to all contending to actually win the tournament. This year north. America we've got TSM WHO by all accounts would be thrilling to watch even make it out of groups after a two year hiatus Tsm are back at worlds and they've assembled pretty much all the firepower and has to offer in Berks in and. But they simply do not stack up against the competition. Double Lift had a lackluster summer split and compared to some of these Chinese and Korean rosters, it's really hard to imagine. Making a run at this thing that's ad they do have one overwhelming bright spot bjork's bio hound spirits had just about the most one V nine split of his entire career this summer dot working his way back in the fight firefox going to be doing the same to know the wall looking to move power evil shut down though for Africa write ups won't be one year for Pearson. Fierce dot is every single skill shot so far of the old the and. Nothing else that was point and click zero way to live. He's truly playing at the top of his game and the international scene respects him. He can compete with these guys and he is going to have to, if Tsm, even wants to have a chance no offensive like west or liquid but maybe the other most significant North American storyline is not going to world's cloud not after spring split that made them with like one of the most dominant North American rosters. Cloud nine imploded in the summit with laver down it is a to be four cloud nine started this season looking so damn good. But TSM had risen to the occasion they have taken down the next this turret, they will take down remaining players on the cloud nine. Wrong. The first time in seven years see nine will not be attending world tsn claim their victory, which has north. American fan is extremely disappointing because after that spring split many people saw this as.

"Thank you. Excellent I jeans reviews. MOMS is thank you because they've been very nice just a few questions this week where we get back to the Games. This is maybe the status questions I read Oh Lord. It's from harder. Hey Meena love show I've seen a lot of premature speculation about DAX twenty twenty, one free agency as a law of suffering bears. Fan I think you can see where this is going. We're the favorites out of the top of the draft zooming most the rest of rosters retained. What would be your way too early expectation for that bears team in twenty twenty one. So she wants third, imagine that Dak Prescott is on the bears are. So he's given up on this season already. If Dak was on the bears how good they? Are Now I I mean I don't know I. Guess They were Super Bowl contender before the season started last year and the reason why People. Think they didn't make it other defense did take a step back was because they had a quarterback problem and you don't get much better than that Prescott so. Dak Prescott on that roster instead of now think they go back to being. Super Contender Hunt. Let me ask you a question I. Agree let me ask you a question. I posed last week. If their quarterback was James Winston, do you think they would win the division? Question Right. I mean I think Y- yeah. Because Davis is boomer bus like James is great and then terrible. They'd be in the mix. Yeah. Better off than they are now. Sure. Yeah. Better than they are now I don't think they would be. Better than Minnesota and Green Bay. But I think that I've I said, this is a three team division. Like I, they would definitely firmly be in contention to win then. Second Question from Zach Freeman. How Much Do you think Daryl Bubbles Teaching System Help Stafford last year. In the limited time, we saw it or was it more of a case of Stafford's up and downs we've seen from him over the years signed longtime staffer defender Wealth Zach Freeman I'm a longtime defense holes and I'll say this. He finally took that Ferrari out for spent. Because Yes. Sarah's been up and down but Bebel just let him cook I mean he didn't let him cook actually because they ran a lot still. But his you know average depth the target was the most NFL. and. It was a four four yard Joan, which is like unprecedented. And Lights are strengths like a big arm guy who has an attempt to be a big arm guy so you let them do that I guess is even though they ran the ball, is that still letting them cook so I think give more credit to if that's like the essence of the question is like who deserves more bebel or? Or Stafford. Stafford. Throwing the ball at the difference of adding bubble is. What accounts for that huge leap and? And his performance. There's a lot of similarities to you know like how? Offense frankly was under babble points, right Ryan the ball perhaps a little bit too much times and then the. Counting on these deep shots. Okay. Lewke T. Asks, and this is actually very topical question. What level of production running back do you have to have to be paid at an elite level? I'm thinking of someone like James Connor Diehard steeler fan here who plays well, but isn't elite that's accurate. Is it more of a receiving back. So Alvin Kamara is probably by the time this podcast comes out going to be paid. We don't know yet what it is elite to me is like Christian McCaffrey money. I'm sure you know what I'm about to say which is that you should never. Let me ask you this Dominique Wind. Should you pay a running back Derrick Henry money right? where it's less for a two year deal I thought what they did with their Henry was perfect. I don't have any problem with that. I got an argument with. Our beloved bill bar while on his podcast a while ago because bill is a staunch never pay. You're running backs ever guy and like I understand the logic behind that. But when the deal only likes, you inferred two years in. In your aren't really paying a not crippling your salary cap in any way like to me that seems like a reasonable thing to do and particularly when that guy is key to your offense. The way that Derrick Henry is so it's hard to think of something like that for. James Caan or I guess even Alvin Kamara. Thing, you have to look at every contract in the context of the team, their timeline and who else this has been the whole thing with Kamara, like they have to pay so many guys in they had no money. Actually let's let's talk about that. Okay. So Bucks Saints. Is What did I call it the year matchup of the weekend like I'm on ESPN Jesus lamb talking about it. It is not. it's on Saturday so. Actually love to start by talking about this cloudy thing. So we can we can start at the bucks offense versus Saints Defense a Saints Defense that could have had. Judean. Cloudy. had. The NFL agreed to let them. We'll let Cleveland sign clowney to like a fifteen million dollar deal payments signing bonus than trade him to the saints four draft picks in which case the saints would have been had to only pay him ten million dollars gouves later reported the ravens were working on something similar. What do you think about that? I'm sad that it didn't work. I love it as a content I love it too and so much fun and it is like. It feels very NBA. That's bigger ways around making a deal work so I'm not a fan. So I didn't want it to work for that reason, but I wanted to work for A. The reason of fine and like respect with the saints are doing even though it didn't work like it's very clear that they are not in this business for anything other than to win championships so. I feel like what you would have..

"I. The loss of two days is Knock. Great. Not Great. But I I still have a lot of confidence in this offense because of the continuity otherwise and the fact that Gary Kubiak coming in maybe is that misplaced? No I don't think it's misplaced. I think the offense continuity is important like they wanNA. They WANNA be the or they are the are the offense. The packers are kind of towards Kubiak is a Shanahan disciple and a build it around. They want to build it around the running game and play action off of that and. I think they've done a good job of that I think dig Playmaker but I don't think it's GonNa crush their offense because he's not the cord to that offense but it's going to be a loss that that they feel because he's good anytime you lose a good player it matters but I think you're right. The continuity is something that's important in their style of play isn't going to be terribly impacted by some losses. I'm really interested in seeing not just how they used Justin. Jefferson is their rookie first round by receiver from Lsu but How he looks because I liked him a lot as a prospect right but he pretty much got all his production now the slot in college where he could release easily as you know. It's a lot harder in the NFL especially, if they have him playing outside I, mean I of course Phelan who's healthy. Got, a lot of his production in the slot before. So I'll be curious to see. If they have feeling in primarily playing outside. So as to not sort of put Jefferson in a difficult position early on. I mean. Dealing has played outside so I think he's capable of doing but I mean you can't put them both out there I don't imagine it'd be playing a ton of eleven like. Or and I guess they could potentially. Put Titans outside and put them on the inside and do like. So spread set but it seems like that's more trouble than it's worth it doesn't help them necessarily. So I I I guess as good as mine but I think you're right. You put the more experienced player on outside but. I don't know because you're right gives damage from in there. So then you offense weaker, it's hard to project all this as we haven't watched a ton of their practice to see what they can do but just because Jefferson hasn't gotten a lot of workin just because feeling hasn't gotten a lot of work and I was that doesn't mean they can't do it. So when you have digs out there, it's obvious that digs is. The faster, more explosive receiver. So it seems to me least that you put him on the outside. So maybe feeling has those capabilities we just haven't seen. Well. We aren't able to watch preseason a practice, but I did watch the NFC championship game yesterday morning I don't know why I just felt like it. and. It's like a snuff film furred defense like. I. If I was a linebacker wash game. Honestly it's it's weird though I mean here but. It is scheme. Yeah. But something Green Bay. The back seven was just firkin terrible right in for those who have forgotten cash-in-hand basically ranted like twenty five yards per carry. That's pock summation off the box score front of me. It was gusting. And so. They also like, yes. Donald savage should be better right but they didn't really didn't Green Bay kind of didn't really care about linebacker. And I gotta think pens GonNa, give them a healthy dose of Dolphin Cook. Obviously they. Do, you think. That's that's the scariest thing I think for. For the packers in this game is. Are they going to do anything the and we've talked about this a bunch I think anybody who listen to your podcast knows enough about football to understand how how much luck played into how good the packers were last year, and particularly that defense was a lot of turnovers which is not something you can rely on. So it'll interesting to see I was high on a defense before last season because of some of the additions that they made in free agency and it turned out that it looked like I was right but I'm not sure that defense got that much. Just got a lot more turnovers. So we'll see what happens with that defense coming up because what we saw in that championship game. that. Was Bad. Power rankings I won't say who that had the packers the second best team in the NFL that was making around. Oh I do not see that I sub to eat it like a like A. About it it's obviously somebody who is related to someone in Green Bay or. Nair on now gets good coverage from Green, Bay there there is an agenda it's A. Bit Like I said I've a lot of trouble picking between these two teams in this game I am. SLIGHT LEAN.
Why You Should Capitalize On Marketplace Opportunities
"Nice Guy Community check this out today a hunter. He is known for his success as an architect of change and a leader of business transformation. His belief is the importance of talent culture and it's exemplified by the strong executives he has developed. He now works closely with executives, entrepreneurs, business leaders, and organizations to help them capitalize on marketplace opportunities and proactively address digital disruption. So what does all that stuff mean? So it means that our guest today he knows what he's talking about. He's not just a guy that talks the talk. He walks the walk as well. Welcome Tony to the Nice guys on business podcast pleasure to be hurt Doug. Thanks. For having me at love having you here man and and you know we talked a little bit in our pre interview just about some of this stuff and some of your your experience that you've been through and I love it because you've gone from publishing to pot from media to marijuana and conservative to cannabis. So can we start just a little bit with your back backstory 'cause I think it's so fascinating how you've gone from a really ultra conservative environment and publishing, and you're now into an entirely disruptive in a brand new world. So maybe share a little bit of your background and then we can take it from there. Tony. All thanks Doug I usually get asked that question that's not a straight line of course for most to think about a after a long career at Tribune company one of the greatest media companies in the world. After I left the company. There were three things I was looking for one in publishing mission. Our mission was always sold for and I wanted to have that I also love being an disruptive environment and the challenge and then third I enjoy. Building something and building a team and setting visions what I look at opportunities. On the mission side, you know cannabis a started out. In every state and I've had experience with friends and relatives that have seen the relief and benefits but disloyal cannabis and I really been attracted to that and natural medicine in general for about fifteen years now. So I started learning more about that and saw the impact it was having and I really believe that as regulations are relaxed, we're gonNA find more benefits of medicinal cannabis and so that intrigued me second clearly this is a disruptive You, know as this gains more traction more clinical trials, this will be disruptive form of treatment and medicine, and then last I believed that my experience as a an operator at Tribune and complexity was really perfectly aligned for rapidly growing company like Revolution Global, which is the Illinois based Cannabis Company that I am chairman of the board and I thought bringing those operating skills could help manage gross and really have the. Organization have the Rigor and discipline to succeed. So it wasn't that far of a stretch given my personal and belief in natural medicine but also experiences of friends and relatives that have found release is so that's how I that had brought me here and brought me to participate in this site. So you recently wrote a blog post I guess within the last couple of months and you mentioned in your blog post. Farmer versus hunter companies, and you know we're dealing in the day of this recording. Hopefully, people are listening to this five years from now what was that time in life? That was really? Challenging that that Cova dive but we're dealing right now in an environment that that you need to evolve and change rapidly or and pivot rapidly, or you're gonNA find yourself on the firing line of of extinction. So can you maybe explain this farmer and hunter mentality within organizations and see you know maybe we can create some connection between farmers and hunters and those that are in our community right now? Yes. Well, you know it's an. Older, way to look at businesses but farmers, you could just think of those as big established legacy companies. And Hunters as these emerging startups and high growth companies that are disrupting many of those legacy companies and. I really believe greatness occurs len you do and also things you know it's it's not big companies do a lot of things well, but they normally are very agile. They normally don't have this passion behind the mission and vision of the company and also their their ability to pivot to your point and drive new ideas because they're so successful in large in many times, they lose that edge and I think they could learn a lot from the hunters and maintain those real good benefits being large in scale and discipline, but add those components of. Being Agile and also creating a organizations that pivot frequently, and conversely I think a lot of times the hunter organizations. Lol. Organizations they're growing at all costs, and at some point, there's an inflection that needs to occur and use pivot that needs to occur, and they could learn a lot about building a talented leadership team having the Rigor and discipline of a large organization while maintaining. Those agility characteristics, passion conviction, innovative thinking in those. That's the essence of that blog post. Doug is learning from the strengths of one another and to be great you should do all of those things. Well, how
Bilibili Moves on Fall Guys Mobile
"Fry Billy. This was from the south. China Morning Post and the article is Billy Billy Ratchets Up China gaming drive with publishing rights for fog is. Fall guys could become the first non animated anime style hit game to be published by Billy Billy and the article goes on to say that Billy Billy plans to release fall guys. As a or plans to publish a mobile version of the title. So. This is their plan. So to make mobile fog is essentially. The Chinese market at. Like that. To me that's that that's interesting. Right at the perfect. It makes a lot of sense to have it on mobile. It's a very natural fit for mobile and honestly like it goes with I, think the aesthetic that goes with the dry by the the motivating factor but find Paul guys as accessibility getting it on a more accessible device fits well into that strategy. I think the news here though sorry Paul is not about fall guys billy, billy. Talk to me about. Agree Billy Billy has been new. Yeah. Out of I mean versus the League rights, right? We talked about two or three podcasts ago where they had they bought the rights to the League of legends like finals a few of like almost all the competitions in China and Indonesia, right? Yeah. That was their first big move. Yup and then, and now they have full guys pickup, which is really substantial pickup given. The success of the title could threaten pub mobile style sort of numbers in China and Russia. There's a place for it to do well for sure and what's more interesting to me as less they got it and more who beat together right now because they be ten cents, a Nazis I'm guessing that is that right? I think I read something or your new girl Yo you would assume who are their competitors which is basically tell sent pulling the strings in both places for sure for the localization publishing, it's Netease tencent would have beat for this. Those were those wouldn't be direct billy billy competitors necessarily right compatibility bit more of a streaming platform. Yeah. Yeah. That's But. But this is I think publishing rights, right? It is crazy. But so is streaming platform moving into publishing rights which I think in and of itself is interesting. Moving into which again goes back to our whole thesis of Watch out streaming platforms when it control the Games for Exclusivity Yup, right? So that's what's going on here billy now has to in their another belt or get into good ones a hyper casual even if it doesn't last long I think it'll last long enough for them to get their to to to do some jobs for them and then league and the thing is like basically everything you WanNa, do in Asia's published by ten Cincinnati's and these guys beating them out you have to wonder was it did this come up so quickly and they just move faster. Did were the other guys asleep at the wheel is this now a pricing war right? Or is there something else a streaming platform can offer? That pure publishing play cat you know so that last one I think is the most interesting. Let me add one more. That's why I ended on it Paul. That's why I I wanted the dialogue. Let me throw out. One more is ten cents just too distracted at this point because we we're big fans of ten cent raise we've been saying are making all the right moves, all the right investments it seems like the the the guys can't be stopped, but at some point, they're so big. Right there. So dominant their their hands are in everything. Now at some point, do you go maybe they just are distracted they're gonna Miss Things because they. As much as they want to be everywhere they have so many things to worry about now. So many plates to Juggle One's going get dropped here and there. Yeah I suspect that a little bit because this like this game was on nobody's radar until it blew up, right. So like I suspect that they might be a little slower, a little less nimble have some other deals in the works they're trying to merge their streaming platforms and all of a sudden you have a more motivated competitor that may be you know gave extremely is by the way probably financially driven to enter the market and maybe very flattering terms this public why not you know why bill is maybe outspending tencent Right. Wow because because M- maybe ten cents has the legal right where ten cents yeah. You come do business with us. Here's why and you don't want the biggest guy. You want the eight hundred pound gorilla in your corner. Okay. Go go play with the small guys. We know. There may be something arrogance
Farming Releases Carbon From The Earth's Soil Into The Air. Can We Put It Back?
"Okay Dan. Let's dig in digging in return. Lol. was in Nigeria trying to improve agriculture by making the ground more fertile running into some big problems. You should know something about how he is not the sort of guy who's going to give up I am by nature. Competitive. You're either going to be in the top one, two, three, four hours you're not under survive. This attitude goes back to his childhood He grew up poor in India, his ticket out of the village was a government stipend a few dollars each month to study at university. And only keep getting that stipend if his grades were in the top five in the class I've always scared if I did not get good grades. Ira Not got these type and. So that was the motivator always. Fear. It was fear. Of Insecurity He that's. In security never really napped me even when. He found his way to the US for Grad School at Ohio. State. got a PhD in Soil Science. And so now picking up our stories back in Nigeria determined to find a way to protect the soil in his research plots. And one day. A famous scientist came to visit Roger rebel one of the pioneers in what we now call climate science. So Pretend Lau tells rebel about his problems how this organic matter just keeps disappearing. And reveal says you know the organic matter is going into the air as carbon dioxide. That's the main greenhouse gas. Any asks reten lower question. Can you put it back? Can you put it back like put the carbon back into the soil Yep? That's simple statement. Can you put it? was. My introduction. Climate and so it stuck with you. It's stuck with me. It's still there. Dude. Yeah. It sounds like a question that changed his life. Yeah. It's sort of brought together these two worlds. On the one hand there's farming which loud had been focused on and on the other hand there's climate science our heating up the globe releasing greenhouse gases and Dan this problem we should say retain was trying to solve in Nigeria where too much carbon escapes when you use land to grow food this is it's not a problem specific to one country. Oh, it's it's happening everywhere. it happens perhaps faster in Nigeria where the because of the hot climate and the physical structure and chemical makeup of the soil. But same thing happens everywhere that people are growing crops. So you know just an example, the American Midwest couple of hundred years ago when that was all covered with grass, that soil was really rich in carbon then settlers arrived plowed it all up. And immediately that released carbon dioxide into the air tons of it from every Acre of soil and today roughly half of the carbon across the Midwest is gone well, scientists have actually come up with an estimate for the total amount of carbon released from soil around the world. Since people started farming, you want hear the number of course I do. What? One hundred thirty. Billion metric tons of carbon. With the be okay. That sounds that sounds like a lot. So it is a lot. In perspective at the current rate that the US is burning fossil fuels, it would take us a quarter century to release that much carbon dioxide okayed. So Dan, you're saying that while he was working on ways to get that carbon back into the ground, how exactly did he start to do that? Okay. So this idea what people call carbon sequestration in soil really became his calling card. When he came back to Ohio state, you know to teach in the late nineteen eighties he was writing articles giving. Describing the soil as this vast global reservoir of carbon. So farmers have been depleting the reservoir releasing carbon into the air. But he started doing experiments to see if they could also refilled at reservoir with the West malts experiment. And it was setup totally back in one, thousand, nine, hundred, and nine. So, this isn't an all moon allow. He's a PhD student at Ohio State in one of lyles students. and. He is showing me one of these experiments was going for thirty years small squares of soil. Universities. Research Farm. Dedication. Experiment keep going and see these long term phenomenon inaction anyway. So some of the plots have been covered with mulch made of Straw every year others have stayed bear and those bare soil plots now contain less than one percent carbon versus the carbon content in plot the receives maximum amount of Mulch is probably upwards four percent. Okay four percent versus one percent. That's a lie. Yeah. That's actually a huge difference. If you have that big of a difference in an Acre of soil depending how deep you're measuring, that would be thirty tonnes of carbon. Twenty four <Speech_Male> seven again. <Speech_Male> These are targeted <Speech_Male> words that are designed <Speech_Male> to express <Speech_Male> the emotion <Speech_Male> that your customer <Speech_Male> will get from you <Speech_Male> your product <Speech_Male> or your company. <Speech_Male> The next layer <Speech_Male> we jump out of <Speech_Male> the words <Speech_Male> and we get into pictures <Speech_Male> and we all know <Speech_Male> that adage that. I just <Speech_Male> said in a few minutes ago. <Speech_Male> A picture's worth <Silence> a thousand words. Well it's true <Speech_Male> if <Speech_Male> you can reduce the <Speech_Male> discussion by showing <Speech_Male> your customer. A <Speech_Male> picture police <Speech_Male> do so. Words <Speech_Male> are great <Speech_Male> but can be easily <Speech_Male> misinterpreted. <Speech_Male> How often do you <Speech_Male> have to re explain <Speech_Male> something to a customer? <Speech_Male> Because they didn't <Speech_Male> get it the first time <Speech_Male> or second or <Speech_Male> third time. <Speech_Male> Secondly <Speech_Male> words have different meanings <Speech_Male> to people. <Speech_Male> When I say I <Speech_Male> went out on the lake <Speech_Male> in a boat <Speech_Male> there are dozens of interpretations <Speech_Male> of what I <Speech_Male> mean by a boat. <Speech_Male> It might be anything <Speech_Male> from a four person. <Speech_Male> Row Boat to <Speech_Male> a forty five foot <Speech_Male> tourist boat <Speech_Male> unless the listener <Speech_Male> asks or the <Speech_Male> sender planes. <Speech_Male> The misinterpretation <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> just goes unexplained <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> a picture. Removes <Speech_Male> that entire problem? <Speech_Male> When we're <Speech_Male> getting a little more sophisticated <Speech_Male> we're gonNA talk about <Speech_Male> the next rung and that's <Speech_Male> videos. A picture's <Speech_Male> worth a thousand <Speech_Male> words as I said <Speech_Male> and my adaptation <Speech_Male> is a video <Speech_Male> is worth a thousand pictures <Speech_Male> again. <Speech_Male> This is true. <Speech_Male> Your tube has made <Speech_Male> us all video <Speech_Male> experts <Speech_Male> if your marketing <Speech_Male> department provided <Speech_Male> them use <Speech_Male> them cut <Speech_Male> and paste as you see <Speech_Male> fit but use the <Speech_Male> videos. They've provided <Speech_Male> if not <Speech_Male> no problem. You have one <Speech_Male> of the best video cameras <Speech_Male> right there <Speech_Male> on your <Speech_Male> smartphone. A <Speech_Male> picture is great. But <Speech_Male> if you can see the product <Speech_Male> inaction even <Speech_Male> better for understanding <Speech_Male> and retention. <Speech_Male> Well our next <Speech_Male> wrong is a <Speech_Male> sample. We'RE GONNA <Speech_Male> move out of just being <Speech_Male> able to look at it <Speech_Male> and here it. We're <Speech_Male> not going to get into the <Speech_Male> next sense which is be able <Speech_Male> to touch it. And <Speech_Male> maybe even use <Speech_Male> our sense of smell <Speech_Male> so people love <Speech_Male> samples <Speech_Male> they can now see <Speech_Male> what the product actually looks <Speech_Male> like prior <Speech_Male> to this level <Speech_Male> of lol. <Speech_Male> The only senses <Speech_Male> were eyes and <Speech_Male> ears with a sample. <Speech_Male> We are involving <Speech_Male> four of the five <Speech_Male> senses <Speech_Male> working a feed booth <Speech_Male> for many years. The first <Speech_Male> thing person does when <Speech_Male> they walk up to the booth <Speech_Male> is dig their <Speech_Male> hands into the bucket <Speech_Male> of feed displayed on the <Speech_Male> tables. Then <Speech_Male> they take a handful <Speech_Male> and smell it and <Speech_Male> once in a while <Speech_Male> to actually <Speech_Male> taste it and engage <Speech_Male> all five <Speech_Male> of the senses <Speech_Male> certainly <Speech_Male> getting an understanding <Speech_Male> of what the feed <Speech_Male> is like so <Speech_Male> the next rung. <Speech_Male> We're getting almost <Speech_Male> to the very top. <Speech_Male> And that is to <Speech_Male> be able to do a demo <Speech_Male> with a <Speech_Male> simulated product. <Speech_Male> My saying <Speech_Male> is put your <Speech_Male> customers in <Speech_Male> the driver's seat. <Speech_Male> Let them try <Speech_Male> it out whenever <Speech_Male> possible. Let the customer <Speech_Male> try out the product. <Speech_Male> This gives them first. <Speech_Male> Hand knowledge <Speech_Male> of what it's like to <Speech_Male> use your product <Speech_Male> in the case of software <Speech_Male> or certain <Speech_Male> equipment. A customer <Speech_Male> may not be able <Speech_Male> to try an actual <Speech_Male> product with <Speech_Male> all the data plugged in. <Speech_Male> So you offer them <Speech_Male> an opportunity to try <Speech_Male> it out with simulated <Speech_Male> information <Speech_Male> in the program. <Speech_Male>

"Egg. Sales Professional podcast. The purpose of this podcast is to make you the best salesperson or sales manager possible in agribusiness. Lol climbing the ladder of learning. No it doesn't stand for laugh out loud. It stands for the ladder of learning will. There's an old saying says a picture is worth a thousand words I added to that is I often like to do and say that a picture is worth a thousand words but a video is worth a thousand pictures and you can quote me on that at some point on our next sales call we will get onto the subject of explaining our product. Maybe we're going to explain how a tractor transmission is better. Or maybe how are feed has more digestible amino acids and will grow a pig faster or maybe how are precision ED components integrate by satellite to the Producers Farm Management Program? Whatever it is. There's going to be a point. Where technical data and understanding need to be explained? And it's not easy. This is complicated technology. It might also be microscopic that we can't even see it like microbes are sell. Your I can't even say that cellular level activity. And how are we planning to explain this to our producers words words and even more words after all? This is complicated stuff. So we're going to get out there. Run through the powerpoint slides and then talk and talk and talk until the customer just gives in and agrees to either buyer or go away. There is a better way one that will make us more memorable more effective and will be more enjoyable to our customer. I call that method climbing the ladder of learning as high as we can most likely our marketing tech departments have armed us with all the material and information needed to explain our products brochures hand out samples and even a powerpoint presentation as sales people. The problems that we don't learn and adapt the material to be effective when making farm calls on our producers so we decided not to use the marketing material again. We'll use our words to explain the product after all. We're in sales. We're good talkers. We don't need can presentation to explain what we already know lied. Say This is a bad decision on your part and on my part because I've done it many times as you can see from the. Ll Words are on the bottom rung of the ladder. So if you're one of those that likes to whip into the driveway to drop in on a customer and just wing it on the new product presentation let's take a look at the latter of learning. Maybe you will adjust your methods so at the very base of the latter is the very first wrong is words. Well a self explanatory. There are certainly necessary but easily forgotten sales people that drone on and on or that are monotone are easily unheard as they talk and then there are those customers who have attention span issues and they will lose focus and not here. Most of what is said the next rung on the ladder of learning is key. Words were moving up the ladder just a little bit here. Keywords are those words that are important and recognized by our costumers. Roi Return on Investment A. D. G. Average daily gain feed to gain ratio horsepower. Death loss pigs per litter unload times yield loss grain damage anything like that that triggers an an understanding your customer those lexicon words from the industry that that they understand well. The third rung is still in the word category but these are emotional words. We might even call them inflammatory wars but I just like to call me emotional. These are words that go a little deeper into the hearts and minds of our customers..

"Welcome kiss myths and mysteries. I'm your host kid crumb. Today we live in a world of doublespeak gas lighting alternative facts. And this begs the question. How do you find the truth? Well deductive reasoning critical thinking. And fact checking out bear with me as I start off an illustration of all of this with the nursery rhyme ring around the rosie pocket full of posies ashes ashes. We all fall down. The word dark comes to mind when you think about it. The first three words ring around the Rosie refers to the sign of infection during the black plague. It was a bright green or yellow ring around a raised. Rats watch the next words pocket full of posies refers to the smell of the infected and how children fill their pockets with flowers to cover the smell. Finally the last words ashes ashes we all fall down. This refers to how the infected eventually drop dead and they were burned to keep the plague from spreading lol talk about dark and it would be if that were the true meaning of this nursery rhyme. But it's not fact. Check ring around. The Rosie is simply a nursery rhyme of undefined origin and no specific meaning and someone long after the fact concocted and invented explanation for its creation. The black plague was a disease. We call Vanek plague and it spread by bacillus usually carried by rodents and transmitted to humans by fleas. The played I hit Western Europe in Thirteen. Forty seven and by thirteen fifty. It had killed nearly a third of the European population. Although some of the details of the plague offered in this strange ring around the rosie poem explanation are reasonably accurate. Sneezing one of the symptoms of a form of pled for example and some people did use flowers incense and perfume oils to try and ward off the scent of the disease the notion that we were behind the creation of this nursery rhyme is extremely implausible for a number of reasons although foot glorious have been collecting and setting down in print. Bits of oral tradition such as Rhymes and fairy tales for hundreds of years. The earliest print appearance of ring around the Rosie did not occur until the publication of Kate. Greenaway's mother goose or the old nursery rhymes in eighteen. Eighty one for the plug explanation of ring around the Rosie to beat true. We have to believe that shoulder were reciting this nursery rhyme continuously for over five centuries yet not one person in that five hundred year span founded popular enough to merit writing down how anyone could credibly assert a rhyme which didn't appear in print until eighteen eighty one actually began in thirteen. Forty seven is a mystery if the rhyme were really this whole than ring around the Rosie antedates chaucer's Canterbury Tales and therefore we would have examples of this rhyme in middle English as well as modern English forms. We're talking about deductive reasoning gear ring around. The Rosie has many different variant forms which admit some of the plague references or clearly how nothing whatsoever to do with death or sees my point and taking a closer look at this nursery. Rhyme is to point out that something that appears to mean. One thing may actually mean something else entirely. Well that's good to know but how is it determined what is true and what is not one of the things. Aside from critical thinking. Reasonable deduction is back. Check in a world of alternative facts. It's important to look and listen with a critical eye on ear. And if that fails fact check this begs an example more relevant than a nursery. Rhyme could the twenty twenty. Us presidential election postponed. There's your question what's true. The date of the. Us presidential election could theoretically be postponed with the approval of Congress and the president. How ever such a postponement would be extremely difficult to achieve in time for the twenty twenty presidential election and not provide much leeway for voters. Now he can see not all answers are straightforward. But a good fact checker will spell

Says this is what happens when a thirteen year old acts like thirteen years old. Kevin is handling the situation as you expect from any responsible parent. According to a source also Brittany has not seen the footage of Jason's live which is probably for the better. But so where does this kid live with Britney and he lives most of the time with Kevin Oh but he also sees Brittany back and forth? Wow Yeah it was. It was a while. If you do live read up on it you'll see some.
What is Myth and what is Mystery
"Welcome to kids myths and mysteries sime. Your host can crumb today. What is a myth? What is a mystery? After after more than two hundred podcasts. Under the umbrella terms of Beth than mystery I decided it was time to define exactly what constitutes a myth mystery. The simple answer is it. A myth is usually a traditional story. Often considered folklore and a mystery is something that is unexplained or unknown tone but there was a fine line where mystery and myth blur one into the other. A mystery may exist for so long with no resolution that becomes a myth or folklore. Take for example. My podcast January eleventh two thousand nineteen Scotland's mystery lighthouse. It's a the story of three experienced. Seamen that mandalite house. They vanished without a trace. Nobody's washed ashore. Nobody body was ever found. Their fate was never discovered. Now that's a mystery. The Myth is a story that came out of the lighthouses. Long described a huge storm yet the locals in the area so that there was no storm before or on the date mentioned in the diary. Why would three season semen describe a storm that never existed? Did the student took place around nineteen hundred. The storm that never was has become something Nova myth or folklore among locals that refused used visit the island and the lighthouse there. Now that's a good example of myth and mystery sharing the space in the same story. Then there are mystery. He said are declared myth like the flying saucer. The crash lol Roswell initially the crash and the wreckage were confirmed by local military and instant mystery because of the unknown factor surrounding the flying saucer but roughly twenty four hours after the crash. Military brass declared cler was a weather balloon. Bam Mystery Reduced to myth the. What about the myth? That's turned from folklore into a mystery. A powerful myth that involves Hani Valley. That's in Canada's northwest. Territories is of a bear dog. The Hani Valley was untouched by the last ice. Age and most of the valley is virtually unexplored even today the DNA Indians at once lived along the Nonni River who's on sisters now live urban yellowknife in the surrounding regions. Speak of an animal that had the body short legs of a bare but the head and the tail of a dog folklore right. Maybe not a complete skeleton of the creature resides in a museum in British Columbia. The discovery of that skeleton turned an ancient myth or folklore into a mystery. Initially you say no. When the skeleton was discovered a turned that bit of folklore in fact get stiller's mystery it is the evolution of that bear? Dog that is the mystery. Perhaps the best example of a myth becoming a mystery as Peru's mocks you picture the existence. The Mountain City was a myth though. I need to mention here that it was only a myth to Europeans explores the local farmers had known about the ancient ruins for generations and farm the surrounding areas. Anyway the city was a myth that explore been wanted to track down then he did and and in the annals of modern architecture went from myth to mystery mystery because although the city had been raised out of the clouds of folklore myth myth it remained a mystery to this day who built the city live there and why from these three examples. It's my hope that you can see how myth and mystery often go hand in hand have why I chose those terms myth and mystery from my podcasts.

"China that works for me and it's almost sort of the active being on stage like being it's almost like at least my present is like this like lie of who I would love to be as in this this too and I other times people like get the same jokes but that's a whole other thing but there's a guy that has a very similar joke to mind and I had to like take a check in me like he definitely didn't steal it he's amazing human he would never do that sometimes straight up don't have time for you anymore and so I think a lot of people don't quite get how intensities and so I would say I don't lie at all because I have to be like this is how hard it is or they will be like why don't I see you and I'm just kind of like guys I need to sleep in on the weekends and I'm out every single night so not really but I do think sometimes maybe I'll shelter them from lake maybe like the ups and downs of at a little bad because I don't really want them to get involved if they don't understand so so do you lie to like other comics and like tell people they're funny or they're sets are good when they're not yeah and I think that's something that everybody does I try to do it I try to stay honest but I mean it's a thing that everybody dies like there's this thing all comics like pound it which is something that just doesn't work for me but I try my best but we you like ended after that and you still like hey good side like pound with your fist yeah you do a pound it and then so everybody lies Nice 'cause I like the person or I try to do something like I really like this one joke or something like that but everybody lies and gets in my head and I think that's part of why I'm about accomplished hunts because I don't trust him now because you probably lying I'm trash I can't take your constantly because now we're going to have trust issues exactly no Dobie it's just tell me I wanna know but I like how supportive everyone is like I know your trash but I'm gonNA try and boost you up because this is hard and maybe you won't be trashing the future hopefully yeah yeah yeah I mean the other thing is is that the one thing I do love about comedy is that it so sort of a rotating of who you are as awesome because you bomb semi inch but everybody's done that and I do feel like there is this sort of constant like everyone's very insecure and very competitive but we also all have sort of shared experience of having you know are broken down by the hardship of of being Mike so that's what is the game where we ask guests to guess which of these lies the host told so line number one lies about not being Vegan so people don't judge her for living a mainly plant based Diet and line number two lies about knowing how to braid hair because she didn't want to be Judge D- Agrees Sharona and Melita even the way she like read the lie she gave it away if you look at like the person who wrote et dies giving away I know listeners can let's see them but I can which is advantageous so messy like if this was on the phone it might be harder but like pointing and looking are you Vegan adjacent yeah like Hal if I'm gonNA give up aunties Mac and cheese well okay let's that's why I can't do this I have my cheese well I just don't really like being so much yeah that's the thing because otherwise if you're like yeah I'm Vegan then everybody's going to be like well I would never give me and Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah and tastes six right where did you get your protein whereas like if you don't tell people that you're Vegan than you they don't harass you about being Vegan I say based Jason Jason is pretty good that's enough words that people get confused and then it's like Oh that's funny let's talk about that and instead of the fact that you're basically yeah no that's good I'm taking that one wait so hold on hold the phone I didn't actually know this about you you live out braiding hair because.

"Acute and Serena I'm keep to and we're back live we are we are the podcast that explores identity and community through the lens of the eight high I I get it I know but then she upgrades Connie downgrade its just an up and down kind of trying to find her face line Jay was was on Chris is a producer a lot of shows executive producer Kardashian yes all the producer credit Oh my God I had no idea secrets on you're doing it I'm listening out like he was a billionaire I wouldn't be surprised well right but I also think that he has always how weird relationships and nothing's ever stock yet just because it's Ryan seacrest and when I think about him I think about like his face but there's no personality attached right he could be a car board cut out yeah I see okay I see what you're saying yeah so does have more of a tangible personal right it's like even if it's like the personality is villain at least the Ryan seacrest is like I'm food it's true I would not want to have like no no it's like what would we talk about you'd be like this is a beer yeah just like describing things Ryan things are here right yeah batteries broken like what's happening right so no notoriety grass do we want this inner Baghdad I mean getting caught telling a lie while you're tacked up to a lie detector test I really like Avocado Kiki Palmer recently did a lie detector tests Oh yeah in someone put Uh Dick Cheney in front of her and she was like I don't know this man sorry to this man and then it became an Internet meme and I was like I would do that lie detector my God office shadow to her for putting Janus honestly if you show me a potato I probably wouldn't recognize him right now I think I would I would be like oh he's in politics exp but I don't think between him and all the other like yeah white dudes that are on scandal island Lewis Scandal the only way I thought he was dead no oh I might confusing in with someone else no John Something Oh my gosh fulltime I thought he was Colin Powell so different oh my thing as a rule I don't think are any black guys that go by the name Dick Yeah Yeah okay so we have some assault and we have a listener question someone slid into our DM's this week and asked us to weigh in on a particular live the letter writer goes I was recently offered a job at a major media company but the paperwork hasn't come three up my mom advised me not to put in my two weeks until I receive the official offer but I ended up handing in my notice because my boss wanted to check in with me and I felt bad about leading him on regarding my future I told my mom about this needless to say she wasn't impressed I talked to my best friend and he said he would have lied to his mom about it until the offer letter came through what are you to think is it okay to tell lies to your parents like this yes yes why suffer through the headache of this of your mom being like I told you not to do that and man yeah no no lied to your mom it doesn't even really count as lying if it's like your employer your mother also your parents don't control your life exactly she she sent him that paycheck number I mean unless you actually is how much monthly allowance but if it's not the allowance don't allow her yes now take what you do absolutely lied to your parents kids it's the only way so there's that and then we also did a po- per so we asked how into you lie to get laughs from people so zero percent of you said all my stories relies which Kinda like the truth twenty five percent of you said currently lie for laughs twenty five percent of you said I occasionally dabble and fifty percent of you said what I would never be percent of lie sure exactly if it's important to the story to be honest then you should be honest but if it's like fun and just shooting the stuff go for it make fine if it's four fine make it fun exactly that's how I feel like something happened to you and it has like the elements of like a funnier story Sir it a little bit yeah split up bit of embellishment find acceptable give us an example of like what this type of embellishing off of my head but like I do know like one of my bits I talk about how like I lost a lot of weight when I was like heavier a guy hit on me and then that he's like now my boyfriend and that's not true by but like like to just sort of like get the story going and to make it funnier like I just sort of mashed two men together air and so like works with a story and it's funnier everyone enjoys it and no one cares and men are interchangeable right I honestly can't tell the difference between them the different and that could be alive we don't know I've just gave an example there we go so how long have you been doing this comedy I've been doing it for a year again but I've been so I wrote my whole thing I've been in comedy ish for Awhile I wrote my thesis on satire in school and I have been dating a comic her for years so I've been in the AFC in for a hot minute is that what attracted you to let him know the real story that got me into it was he and I broke up for like ten months and the heartbreak basically was like I was so focused on like being like the perfect cookie cutter like career get everything together Lala that the kind of like sort of check it and broke that sort of facade was lying to myself with Oh there's a Li- and then was like you know what actually want to do this I have nothing to lose and that's what I mean off my butt to go do it yeah there's the break up and then we got back together like two weeks after I started so like mother what do you think is the funniest you've ever told that the first one that comes to me is this and this happened on on tender this one guy message me and this is gonNA sound cruel I don't feel bad for me because actually Venice hilarious now this one guy mashed with me and he was like so like men's health magazine hot like like the like chiseled muscles and all that stuff any slides on me and then he he messaged me and he was like do you really think a girl like you could get a guy like me I it's it's so bad but it's so funny now and I have lied to say that he did that in person because I think that's even funnier but it was via tinder embellished it unbalanced it advice from that face it's just like freaking hilarious now because I'm like a and B so obliterated by some dude just like no you mean nothing and I just think that's so funny I think it's so funny it's that in order for him to message you on tinder he had to match with you anyways straight out of his way do that it's so funny to me I don't know why just like that like that like big egos swinging thing that he was doing you probably the girl Oh man it's so funny you sir terrible person an idiot get by Larry we have beef with you too so do you lies a comedian yeah one hundred percents do you think like everyone else like all the other comedians are doing it too I would say if like honestly there's no maybe there is I don't think there's a way to be completely honest and to be a good I think there are ways to portray like it's an indicator flag in your to be like this is really honest so like someone's like take our feelings on things I do think there is honesty in there but I would doubt there's any comedian that anyone's heard of it doesn't entire said that doesn't have at least one or two lies in there I would be very surprised that makes sense do you feel thank performing standup has made you a better liar the scary thing is I think I have become more okay with lying so I guess in that sense US interesting yeah and why do you think that is because like you feel like lying and exaggerating is a part of your bit and feel like well because performing is like such a is at like five times a week right and so it's so common and not only that it's like how I it's become sort of like to me to be an honest performer includes lying and so I don't feel like I'm D- degrading myself as a person like sort of becoming like the like more bad or something by doing it it's just become like this is how I communicate my stories and humor sonal yeah it's my persona of it because I do it so frequently it becomes like it's it's a tool right to be able to perform better and so I think because it is a tool and I see that increasingly more so than like it's bad to lie it's become more okay for me to I don't know how much it's dribbled into my real life but it's sort of I do think it's sort of I do see more of a tool maybe than like like something that I should the guilty about that makes sense so would you describe yourself as a frequent flyer before you started stand up no I don't think so and I would say now I would say I either I am more aware of it because I do stand up and I'm always lying on stage and then I can be more aware but off stage or that I have just overall done it more friends between like you emily and you're like comic Persona Emily and like where the lies in those are much more bitter as a comic for sure and I do think that yeah I mean I think all the things that I say on stage are are there authentic to me but they're like this authentic and there only highlighting the bitter side not this like silly side and I do think come off as a little bit more probably confident on stage than I than I am in real life just because that's Nick brazen confident woman and I think I probably am like seventy five percent of it like there are parts I'm not saying I'm like you know like go like slump slink off or whatever but I'm that I would say that's what it is it's more of an exaggerated version of me I feel that I feel that do you think there's like a line between like harmless lies he's like the ones you tell to be funny and then like harmful lying holy site where do you think that line lies I 'cause I was thinking about you think it's one of those things where it's so complicated case by case like I have lied to protect my boyfriend and his hardcore backfired and that was those ones where in the moment it was even well intentioned lions like it really has backfired and became more harmful to him in the end so I think there are lions it's just a matter of like I I do think lies are okay if you as the person saying it is localizing it's damage to yourself but if it gets out I mean and there's sometimes there's no way for you to know same page girl localized damage agreed okay so if you embellish or remix another committee inch joke do you think that's why it's so frowned upon to take someone's joke that I don't think I would ever do and not only that like careers get demise Polish if someone picks up on a on a `nother thing so I've never like another someone a joke I have got inspirations from comics but I don't think I've ever liked taken something from a comic enough there were that it was close enough that I felt like I was like lying and pretending it with minors and thing but I don't I guess my question is we know but yeah yeah there's no room in my club for joke steelers right now I mean like there are people who get ahead by being by other people's jokes and it's atrocious too but I do like there's there's a guy that I like he has a joke super similar to my in and I do think people come to the same conclusion and it's okay yeah must part but don't steal don't steal it can be inspired but those do him we will be with you on this so doing comedy is hard yes do you lie to your non comedy friends about your comedy struggle I would maybe I think I shelter them from it I also think the the biggest thing for me with my non comedy friends that's happened since starting comedy is that I no longer see them and like I have to basically be like I.

You had it for all of like eight months it out to Joan okay moving on to lie of the Week Melita what did you live out this week my life stupid I just tell with his life I signed up for his workout class I wasn't prepared for like mentally and physically it was like riding on treadmills and then I realized that like five minutes and it was like and I just was like this class is going to go on for forty five minutes and I just cannot deal so I left I was that girl that you see so support same in my spirit I can't do this and so I ended up moving leaving the class and then going to like run on a regular treadmill in the way I wanted to and do you know I ran into the instructor afterwards uh she had the nerve to put me on the spot at Ashby wiler for class and I had to be like Oh my knees started hurting she's like oh I guess it must've went away 'cause I saw being and how not GonNa come out in my life let Iraq I was like yeah you know things like that happen and I just kept in movie she wouldn't even let me just have this how dare she do that. I'm going to show up to her class again and leave early again behold I contact when you leave Moonwalk like ha ha out you're GONNA do lady Serena would you lie about this week so I lied to you owe me only I'm TSA pre check why would you tell the people listeners about your nonsense so this past you know week I recently became Tsa pre check and you know I feel proud about it because it's a very adult thing and I spent a lot of time Ching flights and I needed to get my life together and I you know I decided to share this this new found achievement which Serena and you told me Oh you didn't have to use a pre checking you were very excited for me I was so why why wouldn't you just say yeah I got it to together so here's the thing in the period where he started talking about it I got it so you wouldn't got TSA pre check when I said I was gonna say yeah and then when I told you got it you decided not to tell me you you base you lied because you wanted to hold onto the fact that getting TSA pre check was original ideas original person shore original this one you know honestly oh good it doesn't feel good to know that I've been lied to about that say you're canceled my new friends the only did you lie to me this week I did it I've been completely honest the whole week with me okay we're starting off our relationship right not like this emily what did you lie about this week Oh man well I this is not a flex but it's the only thing that I could think of is on partly Affleck's it's one hundred bucks I saw Dave Chapelle last night and I was a very strategic in getting their very early so I could get front row seats is but he went for so long and I definitely lied to him by pretending to laugh at things I did not find funny you live to Daesh Powell I mean when I went to see dave shells like this is not funny Oh my God this is why I don't Wanna see Dave Chapelle life because so many people have told me they did not enjoy and I still loved Asia Pal I won't let it go I with wholehearted respect I think he is the greatest comic alive he is not my favorite comic but as far as like artistry goes and skill and talent and just ability I think he's above and beyond he went for three hours and yeah just dropped a special also he goes to the punch which is like his way of has opened Mike Basically he's building a special and he's basically like testing stuff out so the first hour and a half was solid yeah and then it was he was basically taking like audience topic suggestions to see if you could like spin something and it just wasn't you know yes short emily who are your favorite comedians yet so I have a top five running list handle like gay women and straight met which is odd but Michelle Wolf is my number one and she's a straight woman so that doesn't count but then I have fortune FEM- star is number two and then it sort of this sort of Hodgepodge I would say like Michael J. certainly up there stand moral who is very well known he's big out of the comedy cellar in New York and then this Guy Joe mackey who might be the cutest man in the whole wide world but him and and Stammer Buddy moving onto in the bag Gerena what's in our bag this week girl sal I up in our bag is a very funny live that recently came out came card Ashton and Courtney Kardashian lied about their age so they could be in music video by two puck like harmony years ago this is Oh maybe twenty twenty years ago yeah they were teenagers and they lied about being slightly older teenagers to be in a to pop music video the all about you music video it's funny because they're actually not in it so after that entire lie they didn't make the final cut this is so silly and dumb but also I a picture of Kim Kardashian when she was thirteen she like she was already twenty five yeah I I don't there's no reason for them to even have lied about their age at that point it's show the older but also you know what weirdly like made them really relatable in yeah because like I feel like I remember when I was a teenager and I'm like safety in and I'm trying to get into the Club Lake Yeah I'm twenty one she I'm twenty eight you look like a baby I mean you look like a baby now I know yeah so I looked like more more of a baby yeah he's kind of regressed I don't know what about you emily did you ever lie to get into somewhere I was a late bloomer when it came to the the kissing scene and so I felt like I had to make up for a lot of lost time and so I applied a lot to get guys to feel more comfortable thing me so yeah that's where I lied that age I never lied to get into a club that way I just was lying to be like Oh you're twenty one I'm sixteen getting I'm not I proud of it but it happens arable actually yeah I've lied about my as you get into several places and people just always it didn't question it yeah I also looked I I went from lake thirteen to like twenty five and it now I I've looked the same since I was fifteen is just plateaued there was no inbetween oh it just happened there like boobs jolly boom why was really a lot are we keeping this in our bag or I say we keep it it's harmless and it's funny and it's relatable and I don't know I like it the one time I can relate to the Kardashian yeah exactly you know what it's upping their brand in my mind and so good for them do you think she lied to rage battery ooh exit at him they can't get to pack the starting for moving onto the next rapper feel like two days a bit of a downgrade attractively to back and then Kim down I'm sorry I'm sorry to take Emily Ward candidate okay so second item in our bag we have an interview with the Ellen Show where Simon Cowley did like a lie detector test and he lied about the fact that looks are less important than personality so during the lie detector he was asked to you think that looks or more important and he said no and it turns out he was lying and he does think that they are more important which that doesn't surprise me I would do a lie detector on the Ellen show snowed I to be honest I would do a lie detector anywhere really yeah I ain't GonNa be fun he gets like a fun thought experiment or actual experience I don't know I said thought experiment I mean shut out to Ellie and people on her show to do a lie detector but silent cow of course like why would he even lie hooked up to a lie detector did he think he can get away with I mean the funny the thing is the things that he lied about so he lied about that one and then there was another question where Ellen asked do you think you're the smartest person in the room he says no and then he's like saying or obviously I mean it's siren carbon nosy things but that's the thing though like that's his brand so if you had said yes like it wouldn't have been an issue but it's the acne lied and said no and you're on a lie detector my guy like I'm I'm honestly not surprised no neither am I really I feel kind of bad for Simon callow gets painted as a villain a lot yeah They released the Nana wall vapor to both regular mice and mice with experimentally induced, nausea, which meant they couldn't smell anything the regular Mi's became more relaxed, but the mice that couldn't smell show. No change, the sizes to conclude that the feeling of relaxation resulted from them now of all vapor and using factory signals, then the did another test where they gave mice drug that blocks. The same brain cell receptors that anxiety medications target before releasing nulla wall vapor now when the regular mice inhale, the vapor they showed no signs of getting calmer.
