"This tie re situation is ridiculous and the point that wanna make is that. Nash said earlier this week about kyrie's availability. So it's kind of a good news. Bad news situation with kyrie irving howard. What did you take away from the developments of the last twenty four forty eight hours. I mean it always felt like this is where we were going to be. the ambiguity. I mean i it just depends the matchups. We've seen a couple of weird situations happen in the nba finals. The past couple of years. You saw a bunch of injuries early on for the heat last year in the finals you saw the golden state warriors the year before that with the toronto raptors injuries took place in those final. So we've seen this happen before where it's such a long race when you get to the finish line. It's all about a war of attrition. who's going to be the healthiest when you get to that point. But as far as coming out of the eastern conference. I know that the philadelphia seventy sixers are a great story. But i'm with you fez. These brooklyn nets have played and exceeded expectations thus far just based on personalities. Now they do have kyrie irving. That's the problem because kyrie irving is like the guy who decides to read a book in the middle of party like people are doing cake stands and they're having a good time. There's a bathtub filled with booze. You've got stripper poles. You've got everything. And he decides. That's the time he's going to break out. Warren peace and sit in the middle of the party because he just wants the attention and wants to show that he's different and he's i mean if the earth is not flat then we shouldn't go to the bubble then they should change the nba logo. That's the only reservation. I have about the brooklyn nets. i'm not worried about james harden at all james harden shown he's willing to sacrifice and do something different and decrease his workload from an offense standpoint in order to try and make the team better. I'm not worried about kevin durant. He's already been paired up with stars before it had a couple of stars at he's played with kyri to me is the one piece of that that i would. I would be a little bit concerned with. And but here's the other part of the nets. And why. I like this and especially like to win the eastern conference. What's the one knock on james harden throughout the course of his career. Great regular season runs out of gas in the postseason. Well now he's not having to carry the entire offense himself. So if that's the case and you're going to get a better rested better in condition. We had no questions about whether or not it was going to work because none of the guys are ball dominant. None of them needed the ball in their hands. A lot to be effective and give you twenty plus points. Obviously james harden and car. We have been bald dominant dribble it a lot which can make it more difficult to fit together now. They're fitting together great offensively but theoretically there games are a lot more ball dominant. Golden state guys to golden state was better defensively. And i'm not just talking about draymond green. Who's not even part of this conversation. You add katie. Who was younger and i. I'm sure it was a better defender at that point. Then he can be at this point a little older often an achilles injury and then klay thompson was a legitimately very good defender. He made an all nba. Defensive team steph obviously is in the category of harden and kyrie. None of them are really great defenders. The third thing better shooters as well as hard and kyrie shoe. And they are great shooters steph. Curry is the best shooter in nba history. So good that he changed the game. But i bet you replace the next five games and is fine and plays great like they need to be on the floor as much as possible. I can't be legitimately injured hamstring but kyrie hard and they don't need to be just sitting out to rest are so the drama a is there. And here's the final thing steph and clay before k. got there. They proved that they could lead a team to a championship. They proved they didn't need this transcendent lebron or k. d. or somebody like that to lead them to a championship. They didn't need a stack team. They did it on their own k. D. was certainly the best player on those golden state teams but he went to a champion. Already he is still yet to prove. He can lead his own team to a championship. Even though it was the best player kyri hit one of the greatest shots in nba. History may be the greatest. But obviously that was lebron's team. Were playing their sixth game of a road trip there on the east coast playing their fifth game in seven nights and the nets got great performances by kevin durant twenty eight points on eleven of thirteen inch eleven. Thirteen james harden a triple double with twenty points twenty three fourteen. Eleven hardens been fantastic playmaker. Those who've called him a selfish player have always said my beef with harden is. He doesn't knock down bigshots when it matters most in the playoffs. It's never been that. He's selfish by the way. His defense is underrated too. It's never been that. He's selfish. He the reason he took so many shots is. That's what this team needed him to do now. They need them to do other things. He's doing the other things. He's a great player but to be a you know an all time great player. He needs to hit shots in the playoffs. So those guys played really well. Kyri irving went for. "How Lillard runs the team and always has a balance of when am I getting mine versus window a half to kind of get other people involved.
