"Had a solid running game. So they're probably going to have Josh Allen throw 50 times or 60 times again. If that's what you need to do, he's going to do it. Yeah, and you have to expect at least 20% of those targets go into Gabe Davis or unless holy crap. Digs takes might just have a monster game again. You might. All right. Oh no. Tony, did you mute your mic? I did, 'cause I got kicked out again and I was cursing up a storm. My sitting at receiver is Zach Ertz. I know he's a tight end, but this solely again comes down to weather. I think weather as rob hints at that earlier is going to be a big concern for anyone that's playing on the east coast. So Arizona is playing in Carolina. I think that game will be affected. I think the bills and ravens game will be affected. So Kyler Murray trying to pass in a rainstorm doesn't seem like a good equation to me. So whether it's Zachary or Hollywood Brown, I wouldn't be playing either of those by the show's Zach Ertz to give the tight end some love. So are you saying that my game scripts are backwards? Because the bills, ravens game is going to be just a downpour. You did miss his RB star, but it was Devin Singletary. It might be saying that, yeah. Okay. I mean, who knows? The weather could come and it's a little sprinkle and ten mile an hour winds and I look an idiot. Or it could be downpour in 60 mile an hour winds in the New York idiot. So we'll see what happens on Sunday. And then if that happens, Josh Allen becomes the lead running back for the bills. So yeah, Alan and Jackson might both have ten or 12 rushes or more. That could be interesting. Yeah.

North Dakota Liberal Runs Over a Republican

"And we know that Joe Biden has come out and expressed himself in a very deranged way in a very divisive way to say that maggots supporters are violent mega supporters or dangers to democracy. Even though we are in a constitutional republic and just espousing these things that make people believe, especially if they're willing to fall for it to believe that anybody that support Donald Trump is somehow a maga extremist. And we don't know how the details in this situation have happened in North Dakota, but it appears that there was a confrontation between a young 18 year old man, his name was, I don't know if his Kyler, if he say Kyler or Kayla, Ellington, so kaylor ellingson, 18 years old, in a 41 year old man. I'm not going to say his name because he's a piece of work. But there is a conflict between the two of them. It seems like it was a political issue that they disagreed upon. Now one guy's in a vehicle and another guy is obviously not in a vehicle. So you can already tell how this became a very traumatic situation. And according to reports, the 18 year old boy actually called his mother and asked her for help because the 41 year old man was trying to mow him down over that political disagreement. Now, it appears that there was a march or something that had gone on, the reason why these two individuals end up being in a very similar place. However, a political disagreement should not lead to you running over and killing somebody.

Mahomes throws 5 TDs, Chiefs hammer Cardinals 44-21

"Patrick Mahomes threw for 360 yards and 5 touchdowns to lead the chiefs to a 44 21 victory over the Cardinals The chiefs also arrived for 128 yards at another score It was mahomes 5th straight opening day victory and he says it was a good overall effort We've always believed that we were going to go out there and put on a show and I thought guys did that And so to go out there and win a game gets a really good football team and the wind decisively and so it's a good start Kyler Murray threw for 193 yards and two scores for the Cardinals and what he says was a very disappointing game Georgetown Glendale

"It's really honestly not been good for anyone. This is probably been a bad week for the Arizona Cardinals. If Kyler Murray didn't put the time in before and clearly someone thought something because this cause was in. Yeah. Is this the thing that forces him to go screw everyone? I will show you guys and I'm going to work and I'm going to win and does this does his all of his flaws being called to the public? Does this trigger something? That is kind of the thing I'm most interested in. Or does he go the opposite way? And he becomes defiant and he refuses to do what they want him to do. And now the clause. So my children again. Yeah, no kids. Trust me, we're all dealing with kids who are being defiant. But Ian, they gave him a 130 mil guaranteed. And again, they don't have an option. You can't find franchise quarterbacks. But this is a guy, Ian, who, you know, and not to knock him, but ever since he stepped on a football field in high school, he's been utterly dominant. He did not lose a game in high school. Natural ability, just dominant, gets to college and part time starter at a and M instantly, you know, it ends up transferring goes to Lincoln Riley's system and is dominant and it's like number one pick, third year in the league, they get to the playoffs, like everybody's gone, and he's like, I don't really need to study. I'm that good. But to take the next step, I think we both agree. He's got to get better as a quarterback, right? Well, if you look at the way that the last, well, one of the last two seasons, I guess, have transpired. Something has happened at the end of the season. I mean, let's just talk about this year. I don't know, maybe the best team in football, right? Would you say for the first two months, at least? 7 no? Yeah, yeah. In the conversation, right? I think not sure everybody believed it, but there were certainly winning. Something happened. And the really, really good teams will take their time, will be methodical, will plan it out, and then we'll figure you out by the end, and it's the same reason why teams sometimes go with two game plans in the Super Bowl. Because the best teams are the ones that are the smartest to know how to attack you. So something was happening at the end of the season that led them to not be as successful. Does this change this? Did Kyler Murray not studying enough lead to this? I have a million questions, but we are all going to find out. And that's what makes this so fun. You know NFL teams are smart and, you know, if you don't adapt and change, people are going to figure you out. I mean, you know, we could talk about Lamar Jackson and Greg Roman. Greg Roman and Colin Kaepernick, you know, these unique quarterbacks, they kind of, I hate to say it, figure them out to an extent.

"To think he knows everything when it comes to sports. I know what sports fans want. But for everything he doesn't. He knows a guy who does. Let's just say, I know a guy who knows a guy. Who knows another guy. All right, let's welcome him to straight fire, a guy everybody knows. I mean, he's been dominant for NFL network. Yeah, for several years now, but this Kyler Murray story over the last, I don't know what ten days, two weeks has been a beast for him. Ian rappaport, AKA rap sheet. How are you doing, man? I'm good, man. What's going on? Not a whole heck of a lot. I'm basically reading NFL every day to try to understand what the heck to expect this season and following you on social media after your Kyler Murray week. I'm sure you got a lot of interesting stories to tell about that. Obviously, I would like to start with the deshaun Watson stuff. I don't know. This is just me, but I don't find this discussion super interesting at this point. It's been 15 months of it. And now it's over and he got 6 games and it's done right or is there going to be another layer and there could possibly be more stuff happening? I would not say it's over just yet. And I don't know when this is going to air, but within three days of Monday. So I think by Thursday, the NFL needs to make a decision whether or not they appeal. If they appeal, then it goes to commissioner Roger Goodell or his designe. So essentially the NFL appeals to the commissioner. And then a decision could come at any time as far as what the suspension is if he increases it. And then deshaun Watson and the NFL pay likely takes him to federal court and then it's just going to be battled out in the court. It's kind of like Ezekiel Elliott was and we've had some others like this as well. Tom Brady was another one. So today was on Monday, it was a big day, which is important day. It was a consequential day, but I don't yet know if it means this is all over. And as far as the conversation, I've seen a lot of discussion and I'm not sure everyone actually, I'm not sure how much anyone actually has paid attention to what actually is going on. So it makes for a tough conversation. Very tough. Yeah, I mean, again, you hear 25 and civil lawsuits in the year like 60 women according to The New York Times and all this stuff.

"Welcome to NFL live. Lamar Jackson is speaking to the media at ravens training camp in just a couple minutes. He's out there. Today, we'll bring you what he said as well as talk about what Baltimore is capable of as Lamar awaits a new deal. We'll also hear from dak Prescott. Today he talked and someone here says, unless dak can be Tom Brady, it could be a long year in Dallas, more on that is coming your way. Also, the reason both Mitch trubisky and Kenny Pickett fit better than Big Ben in the Steelers offense. It's all coming your way right now on NFL live as we welcome you here and we've got a lot to get to today with camps and swing all over the league, Lewis Riddick is here with rob ninkovich and Adam Schefter. We're gonna get into a lot of interesting stuff including a very intriguing day at Cardinals camp with Tyler Murray. Let's dive right in there as Murray, you may have seen the reports of the cardinals put a film study addendum in his contract for 230.5 million dollars. It requires four hours of independent study per game week and today Kyler called a surprise press conference to discuss this information getting leaked and more. Listen. I feel it's necessary, you know? With what's going on. As far as regarding me and the things that are being said about me, it's almost to think that I can accomplish everything that I've accomplished in my career and not be a student of the game and not have that passion and not take this serious is almost it's disrespectful and it's almost a joke. To me, it's I'm flattered. You know, I want to see flatter that y'all think that at my size I can go out there and not prepare for the game and not take it serious. It's disrespectful I feel like to my peers to all the great athletes and great players that are in this league. This game is too hard to play the position that I play in this league. It's too hard. Okay, we'll get into this, but what it makes you think is Nick is shaking his head is how this information even get out there in the first place. But let's start mink with you and what do you make of kyla's comments today? A lot of eyes in that a lot of eyes. Comments on himself and listen I don't care and really nobody cares what you did in high school or college or even what you did the last couple of years in the pros. I don't care. It's about what you do next. What you do in the future and listen, the media didn't put that in his contract. I didn't put that in his contract. We didn't put that in his contract. That's what the Cardinals put in his contract. So it's not really us or the media twisting things and making something a big deal. It was what was put into a contract, which puts a question in your head of what would you have to put that in there if you didn't have any questions about that. If you didn't, if you had no worries in the world about preparation and how you get ready for the next week and how you prepare and get yourself ready to go, you know, it's really for me, a lot of the eyes won't look what I've done in the past. Look what I did, not many people have gone undefeated in high school, but every single professional athlete at every single football player was really, really good in high school. We were really good. Everybody was really good. And then in college, we were really good too. So in the pros, it's different. It's a different level. So the Cardinals put this in his contract for a reason. And I have an issue with the whole press conference and it was more about, well, you know, I feel flattered that they think at my size, I could go out there and not prepare. But like, listen, everyone has to make themselves and get themselves ready to go because this is a league of professionals that are trying to provide for their families and look, he just got a huge contract. Great. I love when people get paid. But at the end of the day, the Cardinals put this in writing in this contract. That's the reason we're talking about it. Yeah, it's not the media's fault. It's nobody's fault. People are asking questions because that's what their obligated to do when they have this kind of thing. That gets leaked, an independent study of denim. It's something that people who have negotiated contracts for a living that I've talked to have said they have never seen. Ever. And you're right, rob. Look, I didn't watch film at home at all in high school. Didn't watch film in my dorm room in college. We didn't have film to take to our dorm room. The game has evolved a game has changed. Players are constantly raising the bar, especially when it comes to trying to find a tactical advantage. In the film room, in terms of their preparation, whether it be physically and or mentally. Somebody in Arizona doesn't feel as though Kyler, you're doing enough, or you're doing it at the level that other greats are doing it. And you know what? So far, you have put up some wonderful statistics. Top ten statistics have I argued for you to be in tier one as far as quarter, but well, that's tier one in the top ten in terms of quarterback rankings because you've earned that objectively by many of your advanced statistics that you put up. But somebody at your organization, unless this addendum is just, I don't know. I don't want to use the word fake news, but I'll use fake news. Unless it's that someone doesn't believe that you're doing all that you could do that could take you to another level that can not only raise your game, but raise the game of everyone around you because isn't that ultimately what everyone is after. Everyone's after championships, which for you means raising the level of everyone else around you so you don't get stumped by the LA rams in the wild card round on national TV. That's what this is about. So I would have loved to have seen him just take ownership up and say, you know what I need to do more? The highest paid player on this team I need to do more. And I'm gonna do more period. But he did. Louis, you've done contracts before you've been around contracts. There aren't that many people in an organization who contribute to the content of what goes into a contract. And there can't be an awful lot of people who have the idea of putting in a clause that states you must study for hours a day or a week or whatever this clause says. Now, I don't know whether this is right or wrong, but I can tell you that there's a perception around the league that it came from ownership that ownership wanted this clause in there. And again, only a few people are involved in the contract, and so now when you put in bars like this, that people think right or wrong came from way up high in the Cardinals organization a cast questions about the player and frankly a cast questions about an organization that's willing to spend 230 and a half $1 million in a player and still ask him to do his homework after practice and not play video games. So it just doesn't fit together. And so kyla Murray can come out and say, whatever he wants today, but the fact of the matter is all that matters is what he does on the football field. There's nothing that he's going to say that's going to change the perception and narrative that's been introduced by the introduction of an unprecedented clause until he can go out and play the way the Cardinals expect him to. And there's no doubt about that. Ultimately, that's what we always come back to, right? Things are ultimately settled and decided on the field. It can shut up a lot of narratives or shut down a lot of narratives and shut a lot of

"The Arizona Cardinals through the 2028 season, he'll be 31 years old by then. Also, Kyler Murray is now the second highest paid quarterback by average yearly earnings. He's making on average $46.1 million a year. Now look, I do not mind Arizona giving Kyler Murray a big contract. In fact, I'm happy for the guy, like ran himself. I'm like, wow, he just got paid generational wealth. That's cool. That's exciting. I think you could argue he's already made life-changing money, but now it's like a whole nother level. Holy crap, his children's children are not going to have to work. It's incredible. And I ask you, for anyone, I myself am very skeptical of this contract. I go right really? Kyler Murray, that much money like I'm even in that boat, but I want to counter even my own thinking and say, well, let's pause and ask. You know, what are the Arizona Cardinals without Kyler Murray? And how easy is he to replace? I mean, look, there are some exciting quarterbacks in college football right now. But there's just not a lot of Kyler Murray's running around the league and I will say I don't think he's earned this contract yet. I think based on what he's done in his three years as an NFL quarterback. I don't see a guy who's worth $230.5 million. That seems absurd. However, as the years go on, he might eventually earn that money. He's super talented. I think he's one of the more talented quarterbacks in the NFL with his ability to run around. He's got a massive arm, but I just, I have a hard time going, yeah, this guy, Kyler. He should be the second highest paid quarterback by yearly average in the NFL. I just don't, I have a hard time feeling that way. What's going to be really interesting is in 5 to 7 years when we look back on this contract, are we going to go um, you know, they overpaid Kyler Murray, or are we going to say, okay, that makes sense. Is it kind of like when Baltimore paid Joe Flacco at massive contract? I mean, that one didn't work out at all. So we'll see. I'm really excited as time goes on to see how kyla Murray plays to see what Arizona does. And they kind of determine whether or not he ends up earning the money he's getting paid. You know, I will say, Kyler Murray's playoff loss to the rams in January. I think it was in January. It was really embarrassing. He appeared to lack leadership and he kind of wilted in a really big moment when you need your quarterback to show up. It would be really, really hard for me to give a guy I watched do that, not have leadership and really not show up in the biggest moment of the year. To give that guy $230.5 million. That feels a bit absurd, feels a bit hard for me. I'm trying to remember that it's a different NFL now and there's more money than ever before. Every quarterback from here on out that gets paid is going to be making more money than you can even imagine. It's just a different era of the NFL, but I'm still having a hard time accepting that.

"Talk to me at all? Yeah. Here's the next UFC Fight Night tomorrow from O2 Arena in London with our heavyweight main event number four ranked American Curtis blades number 6 ranked English man Tom aspinall highlights the stacked card, the prelims start at noon eastern 8 a.m. Pacific fall by the main card at three east or new Pacific on ESPN+. Last night was a good night. Is the rams unveiled their Super Bowl 56? Is that correct? I gotta get better at math and room. We'll bring on Thursday night. The shape of the Super Bowl ring mimics architectural and design elements that SoFi Stadium, the .23 carats of diamonds on the columns represents the 23 points scored in the Super Bowl. Pretty sweet there, not a lot of bling. A lot of bling, Niko, you got a couple of rings. Any ring night ceremony memories? Well, I mean, that's a great time. Everyone's having a good time. But the back to the ring thing. We're pretty soon they're going to wind them up and then like the trophy is going to pop up and then it's going to go back down. It has a removable top. All I can think about. All I can think about is my three year old saying, daddy and have the ring, and then the sofa is the stadium's gone. The stadium top's gone. Where's the stadium? I don't know. And then he points to the toilet or something. You're like, oh no, now we got to rip up. We got to find it. So yeah, it's beautiful. The ring is beautiful. But oh, that's a pretty ring. It's similar. They're similar, you know? What was that? Our fourth, then we had the 5th. No sunroof on that one, yeah. That's like the panoramic view. I get the sense. It's the second to stay open air. That's the second one. So that's fun. You know, congrats on the second one. All right, let's talk QB's all right. You want to talk about your quarterbacks. We will talk about quarterbacks as Madden NFL 23 has released a top ten quarterbacks who are the top ten. I'm glad you asked. Coming in at number ten overall, we were just talking about him. The reigning Super Bowl champion. That is Matthew Stafford, who has the fourth best throw power rating, and this year's game is an 85 overall. We'll talk about that one. I don't like this. A little bit. Matthew Stafford is Super Bowl champ, a former unanimous NFL MVP comes in at number 9, his name is, of course, Lamar Jackson, the fastest quarterback in Madden NFL 23, his speed rating comes in at a 96. That's like top 12 in the entire game. He is pretty impressive. At least he's top ten. I mean, other rankings she wasn't even top ten. Like what are we doing? Get them on the list. Stop tan Russell Wilson number 8 and 87 overall as pocket presence and ability to keep the play lives being one of the best quarterbacks in the game. He has a new team this year. I missed him a few times. He's very shifty. And he is quite shifty. Hey, and we're gonna get to the youth movement here in a minute is at number 7, we've got a 20 full year old gunslinger. That, of course, being just in Herbert, who's the youngest quarterback on this list, when I'm only two quarterbacks will know for more than 5 thousand years yards last season. Not far behind him is number 6 on this list or not far in front of him, I guess I should say, dak Prescott 89 overall who ranks third in this year's game in terms of throw under pressure category, interesting, slotting there for dak Prescott great prior to a captain injury last season. A big, big year for Joe burrow continues. He is now 90th overall in terms of Madden rating. He has the highest accuracy rating on mid range passes Madden NFL 23. This guy was the toast of the town of the NFL for much of late last season. Number four minko, this guy might be too low. Josh Allen, 92 overall. He's the top throw power rating coming in at a 99. He's a big boy. He's a big, strong quarterback he can make every throw on the run in the pocket. Yeah. He's the real deal. He's a beast. He's like your size. And he plays quarterback. You were number three. Throw me. Patrick Mahomes. Nah, you throwing back. The chief quarterback has the top throw on the run rating in Madden NFL 23. He makes some crazy throws that nobody could even forecast coming. No tyreek hill this year, a new look chiefs offense, of course, we'll talk about that a little bit later on. Show, top two, not gonna surprise anybody, reigning back to back MVP, Aaron Rodgers, 96 overall. He's top four in each of the throwing accuracy quarterbacks, also ranking second and throwing on the run. And I'm trying to think, who do you think will be number one? Who's not on the must be my old teammate, Tom Brady? He was a 99 rating in the fast category and holds a top spot in deep throw accuracy. He's got a 99 ranking and a handsomeness. Who knew they had a handsomeness category? His hair looks good. It's a good point. I'm just kidding, that's actually not a real category, but he would have a 99 in case anybody was wondering. Here's a little pop quiz for you, Robert. What was your highest rating ever in that, do you know? I'm gonna say my highest rating was at 87, but it didn't matter because once the game came out, I just boosted all my stats in 99 anyway. Okay, first of all, great strategy right there. Second of all, you undersold yourself. You were an 89. 89 one year. You came into an 83, too. Before you played a game, you're already in 83 and you let the NFL world on fire as a rookie. I would have put you to the 9 9 club. Anyways, let's get back to the current top ten. Robert is, of course, always in my own top ten, but number ten, Kimberly, was Matthew Stafford. 85 overall. Your thoughts on the matter. Honestly, what more does Matthew Stafford have to do to get some respect? The man literally just won a Super Bowl. Why is he why is dak Prescott at 6? Why is dak Prescott ahead of him? Once I got to 6, I just want to throw this whole list away because I think the criteria, it just seems arbitrary. Because if it's based on stats, only then Aaron Rodgers, the two time MVP should be one. So I don't know what happened. I was okay with the list for a little bit, but then the rest of it throw it away. Hey man, Kimberly's guys, he's got a point there. If you're the two time MVP back to back, you should be number one on the list, but what it seems like they did is they just took all the stats, right? From last year and said, boom, here's the best quarterbacks 'cause there's no way that Patrick Mahomes automatically just vanishes from the 99 club after being there for one year. And Lamar Jackson go from the 99 club to the 87 club. That doesn't make any sense to me. You got Justin Herbert. A guy who doesn't want to play off game. And then dak Prescott who hasn't had much playoff success ahead of guys that have played much better. And yeah, Maggie cyber did lead the league in interceptions, but dang, come on, man. He got a ring on his finger. He got to be release a 90? Yeah, I'm a Kimberly on this one. They should have taken dak and just swap that. You swap. You put that down and you bring Matt up, because he's a champion. He won the Super Bowl. Come on, and then the number one. I'm like, Tom Brady. So you look at the stats. Of course. Okay, the one, two, I have no issue with the one two. No issue with the one two. You could have, you could have Aaron Rodgers. You could have Tom Brady at two. Well, it's fine. It's fine. The 6 and below, I got a little issue with that. Yeah. I got a little news for you guys. Matthew Stafford, maybe an 85 overall Madden. He signed a $160 million extension. This off season. He won a Super Bowl. Yep. He also joined Instagram earlier today. I think things are looking pretty good these days and the Stafford household. So I'm sure he'll be okay with that 85 rating. All things considered. Hey, coming up. Robert tells us how tight ends create matchup nightmares that receivers are running backs don't and why that's so important to the quarterback. Dallas Garth, he agrees. No one likes straight receiver keys. We take their cuts down. We take their catches. You know, running back there, you know, they're running back through the offense line they're yelling, we go out and get attention. FX's American horror stories. There is this stain inside of me. "About, but what Lamar is doing right now, he is simply focusing on football. He's letting all of us talk about the money and paper watch and all the other stuff because he knows it doesn't matter what happens on that field. He's going to get paid by the ravens or by somebody else. So all he has to do is go out and focus on winning the Super Bowl and I think he's doing it the right way. Guys, I do not know when Lamar Jackson will put pen to paper. What I do know is that the ravens are sick on me. They are sick of me bothering them, asking them what's going on, what's the latest because unfortunately for the rest of us talking about this as of right now, nothing seems to have changed. They want to pay Lamar, Lamar wants to be Baltimore, but Lamar is focused as RG three is saying is focus on getting better and focused on winning a Super Bowl there and he's confident that he can do it. So one of these days on a random Tuesday, I totally picture the team tweeting it out casually like, oh yeah, yeah, he's back and he's under contract forever. Yeah, so if I'm Lamar, you really can't see me right now, but if I was Lamar I'd back up, I put my feet up. I'd have my hands back. Feet up on the table. I'd open a paper up. I'd be just really relaxed, you know? Like, hey, this thing just keeps going up and up and up. I just be chilling. Get ready for the season, of course. But again, every single time a quarterback gets paid, it just keeps going up. So Lamar is looking at he's like, I'm the MVP here. Look what I did. Look what I've done. And I'm telling you, he needs to get paid more than what Kyler Murray just got. He should be the number one pay quarterback in my eyes. 50 $.3 million would be the marquee has to clear. And you know agree with ninco? Jake Paul, who took to Twitter and said, Lamar Jackson deserves that Murray money plus plus Lamar Jackson, not too long ago, quote tweeted that, said my boy with a pair of 100 emojis, so apparently the mar does have his eyes on money that surpasses kyla Murray, sounds like he's got a pretty deserving case. "But NFL live camps are open. There's Patrick Mahomes, we're having a chiefs game. He's got the monarch's throwback. That is fresh right there. And by the way, devonte Adams in the same division as Patrick Holmes, Patrick Mahomes, you're going to hear from him and his quarterback Derek Carr they go all the way back to their college days. Car took the podium for the first time during training camp earlier today. Ravens haven't yet opened up camp officially, but you see Lamar Jackson is already in the building this week. Big question is could a contract for him coming up next? What a treat we have here is we have rob nikov in the studio of saint low, welcome to NFL live. I'm field Yates and then you see our panel or do our dynamic dude. Robert gert from the third and of course Kimberly. Martin, here for the full hour and you may have heard that yesterday, Colin Murray became like rich rich. And he spoke for the first time moments ago since he signed a new deal, take a listen to what he had to say. Three years ago, we were all in here. After getting drafted, it was one of the best days of my life. And today, three years from here, from there, sign an extension. For me, man, it's a blessing. I've done a lot of great individual things, but again, for me, the goal is to win championships. And I feel like, like I said, this is the start. I mean, I think with a lot of the reps and experiences that I've been able to go through these past three years will help me help bring along all the rest of my guys. I wasn't really too worried about the negotiations or what they discuss behind closed doors. Anybody close to me, you know, will tell you, you know, all I care about is winning. And all I care about is going to work and working hard. So that was my focus. All right, so with that big contract comes big expectations, especially in the second half of the season. Look at Kyler Murray's career so far. The Cardinals have struggled after November 1st. Murray has lost almost a full yard per attempt in that span and is total QBR is taking a pretty dramatic hit. As you see there as well, so Nick, as we start a conversation again on day two of the Murray contract negotiations, our Murray contract discussions, I should say, considering what he's done so far in the NFL, how much pressure is there on Kyler. Now that he has this deal that makes him one of the richest players, the league has ever seen a lot. He's got a lot of pressure on him. So listen, he's going to have to win. He's going to have to win now. He's going to have to put this team in position to win a division. He's going to have to win a playoff game. I mean, you don't just pay somebody that kind of money and expect. You know, maybe we'll be like 500. It's not a big deal. You got to win. You got to win now. And there's no excuses. You can't say, oh, you know, they got other things going on with contract. He's got a contract now. So now he's got to go out there. He's got to lead his team. He's got to be the best quarterback for this team for a long time to come and he's got to win now. Yeah, I think that's exactly why they paid him the money that they did. And kyla kind of hit the nail on the head when he said, he's had some great individual accomplishments. He has. He's the only quarterback in NFL history to start his first three years and have 70 passing touchdowns in 20 rushing. But he hasn't had the team accolades that he's really searching for. And yes, he says he's all about winning and guess what? He won in this contract negotiation slightly with you to God I put a guarantee, but hey, 231 and a half $1 million and a 160 megahertz isn't anything to be mad about, but for collaboration, when you saw the graphic of how he fell or how he falls off after December 1st, it really just comes down to he's got little legs and then things get tired. Clip Kingsbury's got to find a way to get more out of the rest of their roster not including Kyler Murray and Deandre Hopkins and I think they have that chance early in the year with D hop being suspended for the first 6 games. Yeah, guys, the one 60 million guaranteed is a big number, but the 7 and 15 that field was just shown on the screen. That is, those are also huge numbers. And that's part of the equation here. When you talk about November to January and what we can expect to see from Kyler and this team. At an NFL GM, an NFL GM yesterday text me, what has he done to be behind only Aaron Rodgers and ahead of mahomes and Josh Allen when it comes to how much he makes a year. And his response was nothing. And that sort of what the some people in the league feel, like he hasn't proven that he deserves that much money. Now, I am all for guys getting paid. The question is can Kyler make the guys around him better? We have no doubts about his individual talent, but to be a champion, that involves an entire team and being a leader of that group. Well, I think Kimberly heated up nicely, mink, is Kyler a quarterback that in your eyes can take a team to new heights because when you sign for the second richest contract ever in terms of guaranteed money and average annual value, I think the expectation is you're a quarterback that's good enough to win a championship. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know that answer, because if I was in that position of having to pay him that contract, I would want to see more from him. I would want to see more production. I would want to see him in November. That's like more of a no than a yes. To me. It's a no. I wouldn't have paid him that much money. I wouldn't have paid him after three years, especially you look at, you know, look at the top 5 quarterbacks what they're making per year. You know, they're throwing for 40 500 yards, 40 touchdown 50 touchdowns. Crazy numbers. And at this point, he's only the highest he's ever thrown for his 3700 yards. I know that's great for three years. But again, I need to see more and I also need to see this team win more. In case there are people out there that are like, hold on now, Nick, let me show you a little something about Kyler Murray's excellence. We are here to try to convince you and other naysayers. Let's take a look at top three Kyler Murray plays. Here he is using his own legs. He scrambling, extends the play, scrambles to the right to avoid the stack. They cut back, he stoops two defenders and then finds a way to throw them all to rondale more down the field. That was week one of last year. That was good enough for a first down. This guy's like mighty mouse out there with his legs. And I don't know what his Madden rating is for speed, but he is very fast. Week 15, 2019 as a rookie calamari takes the run to the left himself. He's finding holes here in left and right. That is off the racist name. Goodbye. He's very fast. Yes, he's very fast. He's very shifty. He is very, I think you might have had a chance to catch him and I'm more of an angle guy. You have to get on the angle. Not your straight line. That was good for 35 yards right there. And then finally, how about this? A clutch throw. Y'all remember this play? Hail Murray. 2020 week ten against the bills. They're down by four points with two seconds left to go 43 yards away. What does he do? Throw it up. What are the bills not to? Knock it down. It's a touchdown. Two Deandre Hopkins. The Cardinals win 32 26 and perhaps the best highlight of Kyler Murray's career came earlier today as during his press conference when it's addressing the media. Who do you see right there? Bottom left of your screen. Swoosh. Collars adorable, awesome, very good doggo. And that's how you know life is good. My dad's up there talking about $230.5 million. And I'm just here chilling. Life is good. Free bones for life for swoosh. He is great. Let's take a look at where Tyler's contract stacks up relative to other quarterback contracts around the league. This is in terms of most guaranteed money. Number two, still 70 million shy of, of course, deshaun Watson, which brings us to Lamar Jackson, who could get paid and up to this point. Lamar Jackson, when you factor in the 5th year option, he slid to play on right now. We'll have made $32.8 million for the first 5 years of his career. There's one person on this set that knows Lamar Jackson extremely well. That, of course, would be Robert Griffin the third who played alongside Lamar for a few years in Baltimore, what do you make of what this means for Lamar Jackson? And if you were Lamar right now, and he asked you for some advice, what would be yours to him? Oh, my advice to Lamar Jackson right now will be keep doing what you're doing because every day that passes by the number goes up. Earlier this off season, I was like, okay, you know, maybe the 230 million guarantee that Desean Watson got what be enough for Lamar. Not after that Colin Murray deal. Now Lamar is looking at about a 6 year $325 million deal. Really guaranteed that's what he should be thinking

"Twice and then there are people who have spoken to more who have wondered about Tyler's maturity level and whether or not, again, this is something that you want to build around. Arizona clearly felt he was a guy to build around. I'm not sure that everybody in the organization felt that way we'll see. Over time. But the fact remains he's tied to Arizona for the next 7 years through 2028 the team extended. Cliff Kingsbury, the head coach, an extended Steve keim, the general manager. And now it is extended. The quarterback. And so they are there together for the long haul here, Arizona, quite happy to have everybody locked in long-term, ready to go as training camp is ready to get underway. Yeah, it's 50 great south a reminder, as always, the NFL news never sleeps. Let's get our group back involved here. Robert, what was your reaction when you saw this deal for calamari? Yeah, Phil, my reaction was excitement. I'm happy for him. That was the first one, like the little man got bag, let's go. I love to see players get paid. And then I saw the details of the deal and immediately I was drawn back to say, why are quarterbacks taking less than fully guaranteed deals? Deshaun Watson got a fuller guaranteed deal to be traded from the Houston Texans to the Cleveland Browns with everything that he has gone on off the field. So why are players and agents not demanding that they get fully guaranteed deals? I just think that guys put their lives on the line. We got veteran players, former players that are dying at the age of 45, 50 years old because of the effects of football. We got to get these guys full of guaranteed deals because we earn it every single time we step on that field and I'm just a little drawn back by the fact that the players are not seeking that out after seeing what deshaun Watson got. He's going to say that Desean Watson deal is going to be discussed many, many times over until quarterbacks are routinely getting a 100% of their compensation fully guaranteed. Even if not a 100% guaranteed, Kyler is now making the big bucks, but the Cardinals got to hope that he can earn that check from start to finish, meaning of the season, as Arizona has made a habit of starting fast and then slowing down in the second half of the year. Look at last year, Murray was 5th and total QBR through October. He finished 18th in that same category from November on. All right, so Kimberly, this is a team that has now locked up as general manager, its head coach, and its quarterback to a long-term deal. You see those numbers about the ways in which they have struggled late in the season. If those, if they continue to underperform down the stretch, who do you think is going to be feeling the most pressure within this organization? Listen, Phil, we spent all day talking about kyla Murray. But I think we need to be talking about cliff Kingsbury a little bit. Just because you know, I've covered their games. I've watched this team. We talk about them early in the season, like watch out for the Cardinals, and then they just sort of fizzle down the stretch. We can put that on Kyler and his diminished numbers, but put that on the head coach too. I'm in New Jersey. I've covered the jets. I've covered the Giants. If he were in this market, cliff would have been on the hot seat a long time ago. I think it's not just Kyler. Like cliff has to be better down the stretch and make sure that his team is better down the stretch field. That was Kimberly I think you're exactly right in terms of the pressure. I also think you're exactly right in terms of the attention. I mean, the reality is they're just not in the national narrative the way that other organizations are. And I think when you look at what Kyler Murray can eventually be as a starting quarterback in the NFL, so much of that is tied to how much better of a coach came cliff Kingsbury become as he learns about being a head coach in the National Football League. I don't think there's any doubt about it. And that's why I think while the vast majority of the league will look at what the cardinals do offensively and find it to be a challenge. I think from a team perspective, winning ugly, if you will, finding ways to do that, there's an element to that that good coaches find a way to do it. And I think people are looking for that. In terms of the deal, look, I think it's a fair deal. I think it's the right timing for the deal. I think the questions about his leadership are legitimate and fair. And I think that, you know, now that he's been kind of given the thing that he wanted, which was a new contract, the question ends up being, does he step up, rise to the occasion and start to kind of be the leader in the building block that they want him to be in Arizona? Yeah, guys, just to kind of talk about what Matt just talked about there with Kyler and the leadership thing. I just don't understand why that matters at this point. When Kyler came out and said he wanted a new deal and he said he wasn't going to play if he didn't get one. Why does it matter that they don't think he's a great leader? Why do they need to tell that to everybody else? I don't understand how that works when you tear down your starting quarterback to the fans and to the media. It just seems like they're going to give him money anyway. It just seems pointless. But when you talk about clip, clings berry and what he has to do to help this team be better, it comes down to making adjustments late in the year. And I'm talking about offensive adjustments because their offense always starts out fast, but then defenses in the NFL, they kind of clamor and figure out what you're trying to do offensively and shut it down. Clip has to do a better job of keeping things fresh and new later in the year so that he can get his guys open and I think Marquise Brown coming to the cardinals is going to be a big git for them because Kyler is extremely comfortable with him as they were college teammates at Oklahoma. And Marquise Brown do for a contract himself, by the way. And every time a quarterback signed a big deal, the first thing we ask is, well, who's next, right? And in this case, it seems pretty obvious when the mar Jackson is on that short list. So Kimberly, what effect will today's news pertaining to kyla Murray have on Lamar Jackson's negotiations? Well, it'll make us talk about it more. It'll make me think, gosh, I wish I was Lamar Jackson's agent. But Lamar didn't need Kyler Murray signing today to think, you know what? Now is the time for me to sign. The ravens have wanted to sign him for the longest. And I've been told that Lamar has been focused on getting better physically, more fit, stronger, faster, getting healed up and focusing on winning a Super Bowl. Now, RG three was talking about leadership and why is that important? Coach is always saying, you know, this player, he does it the right way. He's the right kind of guy. He's not selfish. Lamar is the kind of player who has done everything for the ravens and MVP type player so you want to see him get taken care of the same way some of these other quarterbacks are getting paid. Yeah, Lamar Jackson, by the way, has been extension eligible since last off season, still no deal done, but as we were reminded of today, the NFL news cycle will continue all until the games begin NFL live returns tomorrow. For now, it's a good day to be kylo Murray and $230.5 million. Three

"A surprise to absolutely nobody. Ram Spencer tackle Aaron Donald earn a 99 rating on Madden NFL 23 for the 6th straight year suffice it to say no one is more dominant in his position than the NFL right now than AD, his 6th entry into the 99 club ties Peyton Manning for the most all time. To find out where his running mate in LA, do you own Ramsay cracks in the top ten quarterbacks we dive into the top ten as release just now. AJ Terrell junior, 89 overall for the falcons established himself as one of the game's best young cornerbacks. He's especially excellent in zone coverage ranking forth named all corners. Number 9, Marlon Humphrey, Baltimore Ravens is one of three players with more than ten passes defense each of the past 5 seasons. Number 8 JC Jackson was on the move this off season. He is now a charger. He finished second in the NFL interceptions last year, brings yet more talent to the AFC west. Another former patriots fong Gilmore who was previously a 99 in this game remains one of the best overall corners in the game he ranks top ten in both zone and man coverage categories. The same top cornerback is Mark Shawn Lattimore. He's dominant and pressing receivers at the line of scrimmage amongst corners, his press reading ranks press rating ring. Second, he has tackle rating tied for the third best amongst quarters of that NFL 23. The browns have Denzel, war. He's one of the fastest corners in all of football, is celebration. The second amongst all quarterbacks of madam 23, number four, Darius, like, what a pickup he was for Philly the a trade a couple of years ago continues to be one of the best zone coverage corners in the league, his own coverage rating is 98 as a second best at the position. Number three trena's white for the Buffalo Bills he's sniffs out plays with the best of them. Coupled with the highest strengthening amongst cornerbacks, white continues to shine in Buffalo, he got hurt at the end of last year. Number two is Jaya Alexander. He got a big old bag this year. He's gone up against some of the best whiteouts in the game. What does he do? Continue to prevail. One of the best men coverage corners in the game coming in is the second highest rated in that category, and of course the man who owns the top rankings in both man and zone coverage categories, Jalen Ramsey, he's 99 in his own 98 in man. He is an elite defensive player. Number one amongst all corners will take a look at the top ten once again again. Ramsay at the top and the defending champion rams now have the number one quarterback and the number one defensive tackle in the game. Ramsay and Aaron Donald are two of the three defenders to earn a 98 rating or higher miles Garrett is also in that category. Those are the top ten cornerbacks pretty dominant group. A lot of names that couldn't quite make it onto that list. We got a couple of cornerbacks, quarterbacks on the show. So we figured, let's get inside their brain to attack these opposing top cornerbacks. So Tim, would you guys go into a game against somebody like a Jalen Ramsey trying to avoid the star cornerback? Or was there a plan to attack him and make him work? Yeah, listen, every team that I was on still wanted to be on offense, no matter who they were playing against. And if there was an elite corner on the opposing side. And so what that really meant was, listen, we'll proceed with caution, but we're not going to run away from the challenge. But we're also going to be smart about how we decide to attack the challenge. And so, you know, it was glad to hear you cop point out the difference between how a player plays a corner plays in zone versus how he plays in man, or when he's pressed or different things like that because those things can kind of dictate whether or not you want to test somebody. You know, I just remember people saying, look, you don't want to double move champ Bailey, like he's too smart. Like he's not going for that. That's not how you want to attack him. It's no different than people saying, look, we'll throw at Richard Sherman, but it's crazy for us to just try to run right by him because of his long speed and length. So you would have to be smart about how you would go at somebody, but you certainly from my experience wasn't just avoid somebody altogether. Yeah, guys, it's a very nuanced conversation, and we don't have enough time on this show to break it all down for you, but the two things that it comes down to for me is one, do you have one of those dogs? You got to devonta Adams a DK Metcalf, a tyreek hill, a true number one wide receiver, then you throw out all these guys because they're going to be covering them and you don't want to take your best offensive weapon and just not even look his way. And the second thing is, does the guy follow? Is he a right and left corner? Does he follow your top receiver all over the field? Because if he doesn't, then you just try to avoid that side of the field with your receiver, not with your throwing or anything like that. You just move your top guy around the field and you get openings. But if you don't have one of those top guys, good luck, because these guys stick to receivers like glue and you have to be careful not to make an errant throw in their direction. Don't throw the hitch of Jalen Ramsey sitting on it, guys. He's not just gonna knock it down. He's gonna catch it. High step on you and make you feel real bad about it as he runs it back for a touchdown. You gotta tell you, these guys were at the top of the cornerback market, of course, Jalen Ramsey being at the very top food. I probably say it to themselves. Wait, top White House getting $30 million a year. Top cornerbacks are only getting 20 or 20 and a half $1 million per year. Where's our big payday? Certainly is due if you had to ask me. And speaking of big money paydays with kyla Murray deal done, could Lamar Jackson be the next quarterback up and will the Murray deal speed up the process or could the mar really go into the NFL season without an extension that's next on NFL live? UFC Fight Night return Saturday with our heavyweight main event number four ranked American Curtis blades and number 6 English man Tom aspinall highlight the stacked car, the prelims, start at noon eastern fall by the main card at three eastern on ESPN+. All right, time now for us to revisit our breaking news from the top of the show and no one better to ask about that breaking news than Adam Schefter. What can you tell us what the latest in Arizona? Will field a deal that the cardinals in calamari wanted to get done before camp is now in place. You see the big deal kick in today, the two sides get an agreement done before training camp begins that gives kyla Murray the third highest annual average of any quarterback in the league. He'll now average $46.1 million. It's the latest blockbuster quarterback deal. You see the numbers there on the board, 230 and a half $1 million, a 150 or so $1 million guaranteed big deal for Colin Murray and now you have to wonder if Lamar Jackson will be the next quarterback that gets a new deal from the Baltimore Ravens. He did show up to training camp after not being there for a good part of the off season. Obviously you would have to figure despite not doing it last year. This would be a summer that Lamar Jackson would want to get a new deal knocked out. Chef, you were sitting right next to mort on Super Bowl morning when he reported that there were some who felt as though Kyler Murray was self centered, a finger pointer and immature. Whether that perception persists or not, how much of an issue do you believe that remains right now on a day in which he is signing in a store contract? "Guarantees. You're bringing in Kimberly Martin, what's more for some additional thoughts on this deal? Kimberly is you've gauged reaction around the league to this Kyler Murray extension in the hours since it got done. What has it been so far? Oh man, Phil, my fault is not stopped buzzing. And the reaction, I got to be honest, it's been mixed. Some people have said, well, of course, they've got to pay and look at that kid. He's got an exceptional skill set and he's very unique. Now, one GM I actually was texting with said, he did not think Kyler Murray was worth 46.1 million a year because of the lacking leadership as he termed it, and he thought Kyler came off as selfish. And the question he posed to me was, what does Kyler Murray done to deserve that money? More than Patrick Mahomes or Josh Allen. He's second highest behind Aaron Rodgers. And I thought that was really interesting. But we're expecting some other guys to get paid like a Lamar Jackson. He's not the second best quarterback, but we expect him to be in that range too, right? So you're worth what someone's willing to pay you at the end of the day and the card up we're willing to pay kyla Murray. It's gonna ask you about Lamar Jackson there, Kimberly because while some have questioned why he is waiting for a deal to get done, does the news of Kyler Murray's extension and the figures where it was finished at, it strengthened the case for Lamar Jackson stringing this along further. So Lamar Jackson not doing anything has been the smartest and negotiating tactic there is. But I think it Kyler Murray doesn't really factor into this because you have the Desean Watson deal setting the market. When that deal got done, that two 30 million guaranteed when I talked to jams and execs, they said Lamar Jackson should just slide that number across the table and said, that's where we need to start. So kyla Murray getting a 160 million guaranteed, that's a great metric for Lamar, but the stage has been set. He can go in and say, I should be upward Deshawn is. Well, after extending GM Steve keim and head coach cliff Kingsbury, kyla Murray is now the latest major figure in Arizona to get a lucrative extension his for 5 years. "This is the NFL. If you don't come prepared, you don't give respect to who you're playing. You get beat with the goals with the Super Bowl. Murray from his end zone. Hit from behind a pick 6. What a disaster. We fell short of that. That's the kind of loss that makes you question the entire offensive philosophy. We understand what's got to happen in order to go forward. Where do we go if we don't get this sticks with Kyler Murray? We've had a good conversation, nonstop. He's part of our long-term plan. All of our long-term goal here is to have calendar VR quarterback. Breaking news to start the show is all the off season drama in the desert has led to a massive payday for Kyler Murray, the Arizona Cardinals, Adam Schiff, you broke the story. What do I need to know? It's a 5 year 230 and a half $1 million extension field. This is something that both sides have talked about and wanted to do throughout the entire off season. It's a deal that they set out to conquer and complete before training camp begins at lo and behold, training camp begins and Kyler Murray gets the next big quarterback deal with an average annual salary of $46.1 million that places him amongst the top three highest paid quarterbacks in game in terms of average salary per year. Lot of guaranteed money two time Pro Bowl quarterback. You remember Chris Mortensen talking last year on the Super Bowl pre game show about how some people felt like Kyler needed to grow up there. I still think there's some curiosity has to have Kyler Murray is going to react to this deal. There's no disputing, his skills, his abilities, his talents, he's a tremendous talent, two time Pro Bowl, but the cardinals are betting on Kyler Murray and betting big with a 5 year extension today that is now official before training camp begins. 50 great stuff, but just to reiterate once more, it's a 5 year deal worth a total of $230.5 million. There's an average annual value Kyler Murray is now second pine, only Aaron Rodgers on a per year basis at 46.1 million. As far as guarantees go again, this is according to the chef, a 160 million guaranteed for Kyler Murray that's the second most in the NFL behind only deshaun Watson. We can talk about a lot of facets of this decision by the Arizona Cardinals. One thing's undeniable. You Murray's unique player. He's the only player in NFL history to throw for 70 touchdowns and rush for 20 touchdowns within his first three seasons in the league. But this is an eye popper. That much is for sure. When you see where Kyler Murray is we have Tim Hasselbeck and Robert Griffin third here on NFL live where you see where that list stacks up with Kyler Murray, second in terms of both average annual value, it also guaranteed money. Does the contract make sense to you? It does make sense to me and I think it's important for everyone to understand that just because you're the second highest paid quarterback in the NFL, it doesn't mean you're the second best quarterback in the NFL. It just means that the time to do your deal was such that you had enough leverage. The team liked you enough to invest in you in the future and the reality is that there's going to be new deals that are following that will bump him down from being the second highest paid quarterback on an average per year basis. So when you look at it from the cardinal standpoint, I think we all agree Adam said that you said it. He is a unique player. One that you can build around. Is he perfect? No. Are there some things that they would probably like to see him do as a leader in that locker room better? Sure. But when you also look at what the quarterback market's going to do between Lamar Jackson probably getting a new deal soon. Justin Herbert on the horizon. Joe burrow potentially on the horizon. At some point you have to realize we're better off doing this deal now than waiting for those other deals to get done. Yeah, without a doubt, guys, when I listen to this deal, the first thing that comes to mind is I'm happy for Kyler Murray. The little man got the big bag and he's life-changing money. The problem, the problem I have with the deal itself is that if deshaun Watson can get a fully guaranteed deal with everything that he has going on off the field, then Kyler Murray and everyone else, these top players deserve to get guaranteed money fully guaranteed deals and that's not what happened. But another win that they did have is earlier in the off season, the team came out anonymously through sources and tried to trash collars name. And this is a big win for collar and his agent because they stood pat, they stood their ground and they ended up winning and not allowing the media storm to kind of diminish his value and make him take ten to 15, $20 million less. And I think that's not talked about enough. We have to stop allowing teams to negotiate through the media and drive guys markets down by saying negative things about them that really no one really even needs to know about whether they are true or false. Well, but I do think Robert is, it's worth sort of reminding and I pulled up just the verbiage that was used by mort that chef you referenced. This was the morning of the Super Bowl this year and I'm just going to read it here. Murray is described as self centered, immature, and a finger point finger pointer, that according to sources he was frustrated with the franchise and was barest, embarrassed by the playoff loss to the rams and thinks he's been framed as the scapegoat. Tim, I know that $230.5 million certainly is a sign of how you feel about each other, but that story is something that I am having a hard time distancing myself from right now. How much does it matter? How much of a risk is Arizona incurring, even if they kind of had to because there could be benefit from doing it down the line, is this a riskier deal than some of the recent quarterback contracts like the Josh Allen to the Patrick Mahomes that we have seen get done? You know, I think, listen, it depends on how you feel about his leadership. Depends about how you feel about, you know, how the guys in that locker room are responding to him. In terms of the risk, I think there's always risk when you invest the type of money that these organizations invest in starting quarterbacks because you never really know how somebody's gonna respond to it. Do they take it and understand that they have an immense responsibility to have a role in that organization, both to the city they represent, as well as just from a football perspective, some guys take that and raise their game. Other people, I think it intimidates them. It scares them and they want to run away from the responsibility. So I don't think you ever really know how somebody's going to respond. It's a feeling that the organization has to have based on their experience with the player. So I would just say from the standpoint of what the character characterization was of Kyler Murray and his leadership or lack thereof, clearly it was superseded by what they've been able to see from him on the football field because it's undoubtedly it's clear to everyone who watches and play that he is a special special player. Robert, if you were to put yourself in kylo's shoes and listen, you're the number two overall pick in the NFL Draft. And great success in your career, and you are reading this report, even if you don't know who the source of the report is, the perception is certainly that it's coming from inside the building. How much of a bridge do you have to gap between the player and the organization separate from the money? The money is one thing, but these issues, if they're real, you got to handle them and address them. Yeah, no doubt about it. And I think you hit the nail on the head there by saying it's hard to distance yourself from those reports because to me, if you were going to pay Kyler Murray 230 and a half $1 million in guarantee, a 160 million of it anyway, then why do the fans need to know these minor grievances that you have about his leadership or about

"That are going on in the NFL. It's just not right. Yeah, I think Robert, obviously, what you're talking about is just managing relationships and keeping things in-house that need to be kept in-house because you know that you're dealing with highly combustible players that have giant egos, and that's okay. They're supposed to. They're allowed to, especially when you're talking about franchise caliber quarterbacks. There's no reason to leak information to anyone in any way, shape or form concerning a guy's level of maturity and or whether or not you feel as though someone could make improvements in certain areas that would help push your team over the top. Communicate that to the player. Communicate that to the rest of the people on the foot in the football organization in the football operation. Communicate that to the head coach. See if these doing everything he can to extract everything from the player. Don't communicate that to us. Because when you start giving that stuff to us, we have an obligation to go ahead and really go ahead and report that kind of thing. And you know you know that is not going to help you reach the end goal, which is to get this young man under contract and get him playing at a high level. That's a mistake, no question about it. Exactly and it's not like it's abnormal for young guys to not come in and be the most vocal guys early on in their careers. I was in Baltimore for three seasons in Lamar Jackson, just wasn't a vocal guy. He led the team by the way that he played. He wasn't in there given rob Ross speeches or breaking down the huddle, but by the time I left there at the end of those three years, he was starting to do more of those things and he grew into that. You also can look at a guy like Tom Brady, the greatest to ever play the game. He wasn't a vocal leader when he first came into the league. It was teddy brewski, it was Rodney Harrison. These guys were out there leading that defense and Brady was allowed to grow into that role of being the vocal guy who's super demanding and throwing stuff on the sidelines when things aren't going great. We got to give calamari an opportunity to grow into whatever type of leader he's going to become. You know, I do want to pour a little bit of water on this and not to take some of the drama out of it because that's no fun, but this I will say it did go sideways earlier this off season, but it at least feels like things aside from comments from Patrick Peterson there or the conversations that are happening outside the building. Look, Kyler Murray not showing up for voluntary workouts is not that big of a deal. It's no bigger of a deal than honestly Aaron Rodgers doing the exact same in Green Bay at this point. So I don't think we should overstate that. That's just a guy being smart and safe with his body before he gets the long-term deal. Meanwhile, the Cardinals also I've talked to Steve Khan, the general manager about this. He's made very clear. We want to get this deal done and we believe we will get this deal done. It just takes time. These are nuanced, complicated contracts for franchise quarterbacks, generally speaking, contracts like this don't get done until the middle of summer. If we look at the big names that have signed those deals, it happens midsummer. I would anticipate after the draft. It will start to gear back up and eventually those conversations will happen for right now. I know it might not feel like it, but things are not in a dramatic or problematic state. Yeah, Jeff, to your point, the next quarterback negotiation that's a simple one will be the first one. It's just the way it works with quarterback routines, negotiating big money deals. Hey, a quarterback who already.

"Like a week out. I have no clue what's going to happen. No. They might have to put together this mock draft because it's a total mess. But listen, I think gayden Hutchinson should be the pick and number one. I think if you're the Jacksonville Jaguars, you need something proven and what's proven is 14 sex a year ago a single season record by Aiden Hutchinson in Michigan. And you know the leadership he brings, how prepared he is as a player. You need a pillar on that side of the football. The guy who's going to galvanize everyone. Look at what he did for Michigan. When you think about Michigan football last year, getting the college football playoff, finally getting over the hump and beating Ohio State. You don't think about the quarterback or any offensive weapon. You think Aidan Hutchinson. He's the one who got that old group together and forced them to be the best they could. To me, it's obvious, but to balki, it might not be. I've talked to people who have been around trend and worked with Trent and think that the traits are really important. Big guys with the measurables. Trayvon walker out of Georgia. It's hard to have better measure 6 5, 272 pounds. Left tackle arm length of 35 and a half inches, and he ran a four, 5, one. I mean, that's a pretty good, that's a pretty good number for some wide receivers. Right. He did it at 272 pounds. So the upside is there, but he's more of a projection with just 9 and a half career sacks. Man, what a week ahead because again, I have no idea what's going to happen. Let's move ahead to some quick reads here on NFL live. It's a deep edge rusher class as we have told you, so let's go through some of the other names that could go off the board in the first round. Lewis Glen turns off with Jermaine Johnson. Well, again, when you're a toddler just talking about projection versus production, well, this is the ACC defensive player of the year. This is a guy who had 14 sacks, 9 tackles for a loss, played 61 snaps per game. Let all power 5 defensive linemen in total tackles. That's production on top of the fact that you can project him to continue to rise as far as his ceiling is concerned because he's a tremendous athlete as well. It has great hand usage as a pest rush package will play every down. We'll play against the run. Look, there really aren't too many holes in this young player, and I'll tell you this. He has the potential to be the best defensive end to come out of this breath. Of all these guys, but he's just not getting the kind of fan for everyone else's. Yeah, and then after Jermaine Johnson, he's the fourth of the four defensive ends. We talked about Aiden Hutchinson Trayvon walker kept on thibodeau and then Johnson. But then there's a drop off. I think karloff does George karloff just out of Purdue is the next guy up. He's probably going to be somewhere in that mid to late first round range. 6 three and a half, 266 bounds. His game is built on quickness, power, and effort. You know, he only had 14 and a half career stacks. He's the kind of guy who gets to the front door. He doesn't know how to bust it open yet. He left too many stacks on the field. He has an unbelievable number of pressures and his consistency versus the run is going to be really appealing late in round one. Well, all those guys that these two just mentioned are going to make life difficult for opposing quarterbacks once they become NFL stars, speaking of quarterbacks. Kyler Murray, it's a no show with cardinals, voluntary workouts, and the off season drama and Arizona continues. What can the birds do to make color happy? Louis thinks it may have done all they can. I feel all this greatness around me. Our action packed April rolls on with these featured ESPN+ events. Saturday we'll have the German classico between Bayern and Dortmund. That's also on ABC coverage begins at 9 a.m. eastern. Excuse me, noon eastern 9 a.m. Pacific, Tyson Fury, puts his WBC heavyweight belt on the line against dilly and white at Wembley Stadium on ESPN+ pay per view, and 120th annual Copa del Rey is a matchup between real Betty and Valencia in the much anticipated series finale of Tom Brady's manly arena drops Tuesday night at 11 eastern, 8 Pacific. This is NFL. If you don't come prepared, you'll give respect to who you're playing, you get beat, the goal is what the Super Bowl. Murray from his end zone. Hit from behind a pick 6. What a disaster. We fell short of that. You gave your quarterback. No shot. The drama in the desert. And we understand what's got to happen in order to go forward. Actions speak much louder than words. This volatile and business. Where do we go if we don't get this fixed with Kyler Murray? We've had the good conversations, nonstop. He's part of our long-term plan. Our goal here is to have kind of our quarterback long time. Cardinal saw quarterback Kyler Murray is not at the team's voluntary off season workouts and while the word voluntary is essential to stress, his absence comes with the backdrop of Murray and the team not yet agreeing to a long-term deal. Former teammates Patrick Peterson chase Edmonds spoke on the all things covered podcast and weighed in on where things are at with Kyler and the organization. Okay, well obviously you gotta do what you gotta do to make sure he get paid and take care of herself take care of his family. But just in terms of that drama a little bit, you definitely saw him in the way things and the first and last two years. It wasn't up to our standard at all, bro, and you could see the frustration greater boil over here. And I've been around, I've been K one. He's a competitor. He's a hero. And I feel like no disrespect to the Arizona Cardinals. I feel like don't put the team in position to be successful year after year after year. They want to sit and wait on draft picks instead of being aggressive and free agency. And go and get guys I can help you get better right now versus waiting on the future. And Kyler Murray is not going to sit around and wait for that. Earlier today, Cardinals GM Steve keim described the chances of Kyler Murray being traded as such. Zero chance. So Louis, maybe that doesn't necessarily end that. But let's talk about the job that the cardinals and I suppose Steve kyman, how do you feel he has done from a personnel standpoint in surrounding Kyler Murray with the talent to win? Yeah, those are interesting comments from Patrick because look, when you just look at how they tried to bring in veterans that were still going to be potentially productive as well as being great leaders, you can't argue with the job that Steve tried to do this year. When you bring in guys like Rodney Hudson at center, you bring a guy in like AJ green at wide receiver. You bring in guys like James Conner, who had basically a career revival, you bring in a guy like JJ watt, who was playing as well as he possibly could play up until the point where he got injured. Look, I mean, that right there, both in terms of what these guys could still do. These are veteran players who knew how to win who were great locker room guys, great team guys who could kind of take a lot off of the plate of Kyler Murray in terms of from a leadership standpoint and allow him to really just focus on the playing of the game. You can't argue with what Steve kym did. You just can't. Yeah, Lou, the personnel moves were aimed at bringing in leadership voices to allow Kyler Murray to kind of just go play football and grow into being that vocal leader or whatever style of leadership that he was going to employ. Naturally, right? My issue with the cardinals is that they publicly demeaned Kyler Murray to the masses, right? For the world to see. And if you're telling me you don't want to trade this guy, you don't want to pay him yet. Do you think that tearing him down publicly discrediting him in his own locker room is going to make the relationship move forward amicably? I don't think it is. So if I'm Kyle Murray, I'm upset about that. And the way I look at this is, yes, there are some dirty tactics that happen when you get into these contract negotiations with players and teams. But if this is your quarterback of the future, why would you go about doing it that way? And I'm more than sure Kyler Murray didn't feel all cozy inside after it all went down, but even so, kylo ren is a big boy. He's got a handle his business like a professional, but let's not be up here and make excuses for the bad types of business.

"I'm not going to read you the entire thing. He says, I'm going to read what's in bold and then kind of go through some of the smaller stuff. He says, Kyler absolutely wants to be your long-term quarterback. It's a statement from the way kyla's agent Eric burkhart. He said, he wants to be your long-term quarterback. He desperately wants to win a Super Bowl. Actions speak louder than words, sorry, excuse me, actions speak much louder than words in this volatile business, Kyler remains hopeful that the organization chooses to commit so that he can continue leading the Cardinals to further success and value for many years to come. Now, between those couple things I just read, there is like paragraphs of content and writing and it's absurd, it's very extra. He talks about how, you know, he came in and in three years, improved by three or more wins every year. He was tasked with being the day one starter. They list his stats. They talked about how they're in a loaded NFC and an NC west. It's really competitive. He won rookie of the year. They're just listing his stats so far in the league. And two time Pro Bowl or 24 years old, who led the organization. It's weird. And when you read the whole statement, I'm not going to read it here. I think it'd be boring if I read the entire massive statement. But listing the stats and accomplishment two time pro bowler, led his team to three or more victories in every season he's played. Day one starter. It sounds like something your friend or your dad would say about you to hype you up. And a lot of people, Larry Fitzgerald, for example, came out and said that his dad is probably negative influencing him. I think Kyler zed is negatively influencing how Kyler feels. Because look, I'm close with my dad. But we've also, my dad's not that guy, but we've all seen dads and sports that are quote that dad. The overbearing dad who's way too involved. "This is going to be the way of the future right and it slowly declined from there. But i didn't. I ramped up and made sure i had enough cattle to keep going through. We were so it's been a learning curve and and really make made a lot of new friends butchers barbecue enthusiasts and. I didn't even know where tried tip came from last year. And now i'm talking about stakes that other people haven't heard of so are you. You must be a real stake. Lover then have always been i. I wasn't i. I grew up in a rodeo family. Yeah and so the only thing that we would eat word bucking bulls. That had gotten injured and so hamburger was the only way to go well. I grew up in a family with Dairy in the background so the only if we got was like half a coal cow was probably pretty old and had milked a lot and then go through the local butcher and they'd cut it thin and it would sit in the freezer for six months and then throw it on the grill. No probably that time was probably in the oven. Overcook it until it's well done. Plus yeah so. I was saying when i was a kid. I didn't like steak. Yeah and mom. Usually if we're getting more beef of put it on the hamburger you didn't do steak was only later in life that i realized how this can actually be amazing. Yeah same same here so when you get your steak with your mom. Cut cut a cuba butter and put a little slab on top. Oh no no it was. It was even drier weather. Yeah and she'd probably say the same thing. She doesn't cook them like that. Yeah yeah it's pretty interesting. Being around the other cowboys are the ad community you know. And now we're cutting stakes pretty thick so the the majority of our stakes are an inch and a half plus And then that way you can get a good medium rare good sear on the outside and not overcook. It and i don't know how many of the old guys got it. And what am i gonna do with that. You know and they wanna cut it in half right away right. That's just the old way. Yeah so talk about grown food like that for people. What the feedback. That you're getting from people. Are eating your food and and that connection. That's being. I know a lot of people over in seattle or buying the beef. That you produce. Yeah there's some people that really care about the story and and really wanna come out. And i kind of we've got ourselves in a funny spots so stuff is fairly marbled It's not gonna be prime but it's going to be high choice that that eats better and so originally. I thought i was going to be selling the story of you. Know we're feeding stuff that would've ended up in a landfill and instead of hauling it. Somebody would have taken that feet. If i didn't so it would have gotten fed to dairy cattle fed to something but it would have been trucked a hundred miles instead of six right So you know that part of it..

"So a year ago. I would have thought that's exactly what we're shifting to and you know when kovic shut down and shut down the food system but so far i think everybody cares about where their food comes from And they wanna feel good about where it comes from But they're still looking at the price point. This is the real food real people. Podcast real cowboys do exist. Right here in the state of washington. And they're not the kind of cowboys that you might imagine. They still ride horses. They still move cattle around in. you know. Rough areas of land. That couldn't be farmed any other way. It's pretty cool. The things they still do that you imagine but it's also very cool to hear what new technology and what new science has done for raising beef in that old fashioned cowboy way with cows and calves on range land. We talk this week with cuyler beard of pan. Wb and find out how it actually works. How real cowboys operate here. In washington state. And what he's doing in particular to protect the environment to capture carbon to improve we'll improve health on the land that he's connected with and even use his cows to help prevent forest fires which is a cool thing considering the pressure that we've had For the possibility of wildfires in recent years here in washington state. It's it's pretty incredible. All the things that cows can do if they're managed correctly and he shares a lot of that with us also had kind of a unique way of connecting with him where i just stumbled upon where he was on his horse. Moving cattle in on range land just happened to bump into him and we had the conversation after that. So you'll enjoy this for sure.
