Kyle Rudolph signs with Giants

"How. 'bout kyle rudolph chris. I mean i thought that was a terrific signing but now it's not a say no some saying it's sort of similar to this although the giants have not did not get caught yet signing player that now might need surgery as they did some some looking to medical. Know how you know how it is when they were. They doing it to hurt. Don't go actually. I actually saw it as as a quality. Signing what do you think happens there with. Kyle rudolph and the giants depends on. How comfortable rodney barnes and the rest of the giants. Medical staff is with his foot and if they get to a place where the player in the team can be on the same page moving forward then. I think it makes sense. I love the idea of karl. Rudolf part of that offense and having tight end set because that allows ingram to do more of the things to them being detached from the formation being more of a slot receiver than an inline end. And karl rudolph can be that guy. That's in the middle of the field reliable target big body guy. He can also help you capture the edge in the run game. Those are things that joe judge is interested in that position. So i like the idea of car rudolf. But it's got to be healthy if he's not healthy than million dollars. A year is a lot for player of his era.

"Away news radio. Okay, wait. Broncos. Sorry. Is the k away Fantasy football. Our Broncos countdown to kickoff coming from south of the hour. Ryan Edwards, Benjamin. All right, give us a call Three or 3713, 85 85 or 56690. Got other fancy question coming in on the text line gets that second, too. But first been what's our fancy football update? Dennis Whipple update is presented by a red bird farms. That's real chicken tastes like pickups. Red Bird farms. Chicken is your local king Soopers City market. We're safe way and make your fantasy meal tonight. We ought to call us the Julio Jones segment Has we always update me on Julio Julio is out. For this one. Cardinals running back in and drag listed as questionable, is expected to play as his Raiders running back Josh Jacob's Vikings tight and Kyle Rudolph not expected to play Brandon Cooks and Kiki Beauty, each listed as questionable. Both are expected to play. Okay. There you go. Very good information there. Ben Appreciate that. Well, before we get to the pioneers of the game, the question of the text line Robbie Anderson or Tyler Lockett. I gotta feel I kinda feel like these air a little bit of a coin flip. I probably lean Robbie Anderson on Lee because he's been basically the wide receiver one. But he's definitely the wide receiver one today and the Broncos without a Jade Buddha without Price, Callahan. They're They're starting cement experienced guys. In the secondary. All it takes is one of Robbie Anderson T get down the sideline and running in for a touchdown on a go route that they can't cover so I'd probably lean Robbie Anderson. Today. I kind of feel is, though this one is a is a little bit of an either or And honestly, Robbie Anderson's probably been a little bit more consistent this year than Tyler Lockett has as far as value. Tyler Lockett will have his three touchdown games. But then he'll have games will have one or two catches. And the Jets are just a weird team, so I I like Tyler Lockett a lot today. I still think he's like a top 15 play, but a private Robbie Anderson, just a hair ahead of him. It's close. Yeah, I I think that Seattle's gonna get up quick. So if if Tyler Lockett doesn't get those early catches, that could be a problem for his production late. So you're gonna with me on that. Robbie Anderson? Yeah, I think so. Okay. All right. We'll round out our DFS conversation again. In the meantime, if you wanna give us a call, she was the text. Please do but first, let's get to Alan Jackson with our pioneers of the game. Okay, guys. Pioneers of the game is brought to you by Pioneer landscapes enters today's date. December 13th and on this date and Broncos history. "Head up ahead. But big win team win. Great to go back home Now, with three straight Yeah, few different narratives were rewritten tonight. Your first win in purple against the Bears. Adam Phelan had one career touchdown coming in. He had to tonight just what was working for you. Yes, well, we were strong on third down on this is a really good defense on third down in the red zone. You know, we weren't running the ball as consistently as we have earlier in the year, but we're able to make enough place and defense really stood up all game long. Tell me about the rookie Justin Jefferson. He didn't get into the end zone. He didn't show me the gritty but he did show us the connection that you two have. Yeah, He's the real deal, and we're lucky to have him. You know, he and Adam make a great Punch in the past game, and you know I go on for days about Conklin Oy. He stepped up with their Smith being out. Kyle Rudolph was his usual self and Chad baby did a phenomenal job in the past game as well. Gary called a great game. Gary gets a really good defense was able to help us get the ball out of our hand and not give that pass rush. Too many chances to get back at us. You had 36 past attempts tonight. 34 in the last two games combined. Knowing how stop this Chicago run defense is. Did you come into the game thinking that it was going to be more on you tonight? Well, you know, you knew they're probably gonna be able to stop us running the ball. For the most part. You know when they did, but but we always stick with the room or not gonna abandon it. But yes, certainly we felt we had to make some plays in the past game and You made enough, but it was also a great place for our defense. That really helped. I know. You and Nick were in college together. That's one of your guys. Just your thoughts on seeing him being carted off. Yeah, I don't have any information as to the severity of it, or what he even injured by obviously, being carted off is significant. My prayers go out to him, and I just think the world of him as a player and as a person, But finally for you guys, this is now three division wins in a row. The season turnaround continues just how you feel about your team heading into week 11. Dallas at home next, right? Yeah, a lot of football head. You know what the bye week. We're one in five. We knew we had 10 games left and those 10 games. You're gonna write the story and we dug ourselves a hole. But you know, we slowly climbed out of it these last three weeks and hopefully we can continue to do that in the weeks ahead when they come away with six point win over the Bears on Monday night for the third straight win, as for Chicago seventh team in the Super Bowl era..

"A glass of weapons when we had 24 7. So what? We're gonna give him a break for Adam Schefter isn't tough competition here between these three sound. We will get for you. Some sound of how stew gots and Cody are not quite the teammates that you saw. They're rushing to. Ah, fallen comrade side because what you noticed in those three examples is their teammate was really there for them. Okay. This happened to me once you were gone, it was, you know, I didn't ask for any is that portion. It was like six weeks vacation. And I choke. We're talking even Skolnick. And unlike the other three examples you've heard where there was great teamwork. Greg Cody did nothing for me. Didn't even notice that we will get back to that sound in a little bit. But in the interim, I think I think we also have to throw in some Lou hold sneezing as well. But we could probably talk for a minute. You talk for a minute about the NFL because you know, some crazy stuff happened yesterday still got Cowboys Seahawks. It's crazy. That happened to the Falcons again. Kyle Rudolph made a ridiculous patch in hand zone. Josh Allen broke three tackles and face Master Dude, everyone blast and Doug Peterson for punting for a tie. But it's high might be very important in that division. Washington First place football team without a name. How is that possible?.

"You did real well. That is a winning touchdown drive a game winning touchdown drive, if not for an offensive pass interference penalty flag against a J green. What did you make of the call? I thought I mean, even back in a great God back. I really flew back with it and not look at the size of you know that on tight move, Had he not done that? I don't think it was being called. You know, in my defense it guys So I'm gonna say it was absolutely but I think it was. I mean, I'm also the mind that you make that call in the unit two minutes left in the game. I I'd like to say No. Was it a foul? Yes, I would have liked to see more flight. Absolutely. It's just called so inconsistently. We saw Kyle Rudolph basically do the same thing last year in a playoff on that ended up being a game winning touchdown. And to me, what a J did I think? By the letter of the rule, it was the right call. It's just called so inconsistently around the NFL. Avery and one more thing. I thought the language should have banned second down on the balls of the exact same play. One more time and see if that raffle he has the guts to call Opie I one more time on a J. If he can do it to Angelo. I don't think he would do it. I wish they would try one more shot at the end of it. Bengals take on the Cleveland Browns in Cleveland on Thursday night. they converted and digs goes off the field and throws his helmet into the bench do it you got a first down you about winning the game were just by yourself oh wait yeah we we we we know what you're about so I don't get giving up that much to get him outside from the public but the Makita skill standpoint I do get it we knew that we take that better back to back thousand yard seasons I mean he is a remarkable talent my problem with Gallic Biggs is in the room because when he's not being targeted he's a pain in the rear end I wonder how much of this is the findings wanted out of Minnesota so badly that he was going to act like that now I'm not trying to explain it not condoning it all in but I wonder how much of whatever led to him wanting a break wanting a divorce in the Minnesota Vikings whatever that was it could be Adam Phelan and his emergence or you want to play a Kirk cousins wait a problem Mike Zimmer whatever it was the findings had enough Minnesota and he did everything possible verbally and then action wise to make sure that they were not going to keep up even early today when Kirk cousins got his extension is the five big was not have a layer was that from the Vikings Diggs is in the second year of a five year seventy two million dollar deal sports are all night ESPN radio other news that came down on Monday quarterback Marcus Mariota agreeing to a deal with the raiders Las Vegas agreeing to a deal with the twenty six year old former Titans quarterback who would presumably become number two on the depth chart with Derek Carr already there one name that had been in the mix perhaps for the raiders was Tom Brady teams can now officially talk to him will he go back to doing when will he wind up somewhere else ESPN's Adam Schefter well we know that we are now into the negotiating window and they're still not a deal between Tom Brady the patriots we know that we're into the negotiating window and Tom Brady is allowed to talk to other teams so Tampa Bay can reach out to him and the Chargers can reach out to him and other teams can reach out to him and so again we also know that we're now in the middle of March and it doesn't appear that the patriots and Tom Brady are any closer to a deal so you heard Mike say it's about Tom wanting to be back in New England so if that is indeed the case then let's just go look at this Tom Brady service contract avoid Tom Brady said of his contract so he would be a free agent Tom Brady said to Jim gray during our season he's open minded about exploring other possibilities and was open to doing that Tom Brady hasn't got any closer to the patrons of new deal eight wherein there is anyone think that he's going back to normal and I'm just saying that I know he's been there so long have been such a fixture in New England and it's hard to envision Tom Brady anywhere but New England where they've had one of the greatest if not the greatest partnership in all of sports history what evidence is there that is going back somebody tell me meanwhile the Titans and the raiders both have deals for their quarterbacks in the past few days so what are Brady's options ESPN's Bill Gates I don't know if it's a team or two but I do think the patriots are certainly in it and and I we there's been plenty of reporting from our best people period the network that Tom Brady not returning to New England is very much in play different perspective I maintain the stance that patrons will be the best fit for Tom Brady and it's a twenty year relationship.

Diamondbacks' Madison Bumgarner secretly competes in rodeo events

"Arizona Diamondbacks left hander Madison Bumgarner has been competing in rodeo events under the alias Mason's Saunders and even one of twenty six thousand five hundred sixty dollars and a team roping competition in December according to a story published Sunday by the athletic Bumgardner was told I told the website that he has discreetly competed in rodeos for awhile including in March of last year two days before pitching for the San Francisco Giants in a cactus league spring training game he's been roping since he was fifteen or sixteen and said he's been added so long that quote it's just part of who you are he's the twenty fourteen World Series MVP if he agreed to an eighty five million dollar five year contract with the Diamondbacks this past December and I'm sorry Courtney if I was the diamond backs I wouldn't be thrilled to find out that my ace left hander yes competing in rodeos in the offseason this is the same guy who got injured on a dirt bike do not remember that when he was with the giants and that was a serious injury that put him out for a very long time no wonder he was performing I guess you want to call that under a pseudonym or a fake name because had you found out about this the Diamondbacks might not have spent eighty eighty five million dollar a gigantic sum over a five year contract on this guy I mean it doesn't make any sense like I understand the thrill of competition and this is who we is but these risky things every sport has stuff like this written into players contracts that you cannot do I mean I always go back to when it when he got hurt in San Francisco a few years ago do you remember the month Taylor's thing when he was with the warriors he fell off the scooter when he went back to Mississippi for the offseason S. lied about it yeah that was a story that came to mind and I feel like any time something like this it comes to the light I'm not one of these people is like all the cool funny look how cute of the story is I'm like what is he thinking like you get injured and made these you know these are animals eat these things have a mind of their own they're powerful they're strong and certainly he's you know well conditioned and knows how to be around horses but you know that to me is way too big of a risk if I'm a professional athlete you know the prime of my career to take but you know he's done it before and that he is you know we don't really get that much of outside having serious injuries at receiver big penalty from the team for you know the motorbike thing according to have the details how did he come up with the alias of Mason's Saunders instead of going with you know his own name Madison Bumgarner sell it this came from directly from the athletic article that broke the story said quote if you competed as Madison Bumgarner every phone camera in the area that would have been trained on him he said so he devised Mason Saunders the surname is the maiden name of his wife Allie Mason is a shortened version for Madison and it's something allegedly his wife called him out in public so people don't recognize them so very clever I'll give him that but I don't think the whole thing is a buzz saw her story totally bizarre and the other thing is you know if this was an NBA player everybody would recognize them already because NBA players are actually recognizable it just goes to show you how anonymous baseball players are that the most clutch postseason pitcher maybe of all time can compete in rodeos and nappy racket I think what I know it's wild lake in the in the fact is here like he continues to go what do these very risky things it just doesn't seem to care yeah if you get caught I mean there's the photo in that athletic article where he's smiling and you know he's with I guess that it's a two person thing that team roping so I hope twenty six thousand dollars I hope that Madison Bumgarner did not keep that for myself given the gigantic contract he just signed in December the but yeah he looks he's not there we is in this picture I mean I just think it's hilarious how almost incognito so many baseball players can live their lives in that matter just because they blend in because they're not these gigantic athletes by and large I mean they're not six eight or you know they don't think Shaquille o'neal out there everybody would be able to tell if you're you know for the most part with NBA athletes I just don't understand why when you have hit the genetic lottery anyway to be able to throw the ball a hundred miles an hour the end and to be able to make eighty six million dollars really it's more than that doing this why you would ever risk your body or put like what your fans in your organization is rooting for on the line so recklessly and you pointed out he already ruined the giants season aired my fantasy baseball season which is far more important Courtney by falling off of that dirt bike a couple years ago and here he is I guess he says I'm just going to live my life and Diamondbacks GM Mike Hazen told the athletic that quote he was not going to get into discussing specific contract language but you pointed this out that we know the player contracts have I can't imagine that the Diamondbacks are cool with their ace pitcher also being a rodeo road being a cowboy literally let alone they don't want to be a Dallas cowboy let alone in being a literal cowboy well I just remember a couple years ago at the end I felt combine whistle and was talking to Mike Zimmer about you know the quarterback situation at that point he had said that Sam Bradford had a degenerative knee I come to find out later that offseason I was speaking with Kyle Rudolph who said that he went skiing with Sam Bradford that off season right around the time of the combine so I'm thinking to myself you are here you are a health concern and you're going skiing or you could very easily risk tearing your ACL for a third time and you already had your season cut short because of injury like I wonder if these guys just do it for the thrill or maybe they just don't care because they have ungodly amounts of money to begin with if they feel like they can the kind of invincible they can do whatever they want but you do wonder like this has to be in contract language if you cannot do things like this because we know across sports there's certain things you're just not able to do I it's a liability reasons you ever been to a rodeo Courtney I half I went Mississippi when I work down there the show but county fair rodeo I've been to the Cheyenne frontier days shout out if you're listening in Cheyenne Wyoming on the ESPN radio affiliate there I gotta tell you it's oddly it is oddly entertaining but the the thrill of it is almost that you think that the that the ball right is just going to charge and block these cowboys into next year it is one of the most dangerous things I have ever seen and I never in my life once thought you know what it be cool to jump in there with these bowls and try to try this on for for my but how do you even practice you know you kind of just have to get in there and and take it on right yeah I guess I guess so what I mean I've seen the photos of Madison Bumgarner I'd taken the horse around the warning track at AT&T park when he was still a giant I just think that that's who he is this is got this guy is a country bumpkin at heart from North Carolina and I I just think that he grew up this way and it's always gonna be a part of him so he feels like Hey I'm an able bodied individual and I also have more money than anybody at this rodeo thing I'm gonna do what I want and it's somebody else take issue with it I'm sure they actually would found out about it right now well look I know why it's so good in the clutch in game seven of the World Series because if that that's nothing compared to facing down the eyes of a bull

charity and then put them up on eBay well maybe get more money on eBay for the auction for the charity now now it's not only John he pocketed that mon all right it is there's no doubt about who would definitely say that this guy is on the hamster wheel of **** fall yeah without a doubt without question he might be the wheel itself yeah so I I really there's a good end of the story some Vikings fan in New Jersey bought the gloves and said that he's now going to buy something with all St find out who this guy is that sold a lot also I hope we do current denture like you know credentialed media member would ask a player that yeah well I mean he he had the right market because Kyle Rudolph's role really nice guy expect the best in people he took advantage of that guy ever see like like Mones going up to Adam gase and saying Hey can I have your play sheet can you sign up for me I mean Adam gase was faced with many she's yes I see that would you like a mortal combat ending in a hole like would not be good so what what do we get the Browns coach when we hear who that's going to be man I don't know I I so they interviewed a lot of people just like a giant said yeah and they're the they're the one opening lap yeah so they did the did the job for Dale's interview having with them yeah I think that happens Friday tomorrow okay I'm sure they're gonna actually interview him on like the giants and then sitting down to talk to him but I really don't know gets a job is only minor stills urban Meyer still in the mix for that I think he is but Hey haven't formally interview right I'm not I'm you know again I I have no idea what the hell they're doing out there I think Paul DePodesta's run and I think he is the move from California Ohio yeah I would imagine he's in Ohio I don't know if the Haslem's are flying all over the place like David tempered yeah got EM David ever a lot of credit man got on his plane went down a week ago now we talked about a man motivated billionaires and get a lot done if they choose to and David temper certainly did it's funny though how a lot of giants fans who wanted rule now like we heard a couple calls album at roll kind of sound like a politician I don't know about and I think it was gonna whine about this like now try to poke holes in the manuals and I again you we never know we had a we see what happens during the season and see how they are reacting to the adversity that ought to be the they'll face somewhere along the line and how they present themselves to the fan base and and how their players play for them and how he handles in game you know time decisions in our my goal for on fourth down all those kind of things that we we don't know until the season starts I love an irrational response to a press conference I think that's great I love when fan bases just freak out and make these assumptions about a press conference that's why I'm open today is just a disaster not that I think that that I want to judge have success I want to price converts to be a mass it's not going to be and I just all I wanna great like you spilled something on John Merrow like is that could be looked at a bottle or he's going to halfway through like all my god I got on the bathroom you know on and leaves the podium something like that smart for that there's a long way you know good thing looking back at Matt role and looking at his education and everything else he's a smart guy and he came off as a smart guy yesterday yeah yeah that was a lot of that was not a meat head coach them and I know what a human being what a could put coherent sentences together and make sense I know I know and this is why I kind of world like them here from that standpoint is press converses would've been a competent at least you know we've been something to it's actually true one as opposed to the condescending stuff we got from from Pat Sherman the basically nothing that we get from Adam gase also go to Scott Marlboro New Jersey was going on Scott Hey good morning guys how you doing good man what if we got for us quicker quicker little twenty store you guys were talking about before your friend missing the Vikings game to go to Disney Disney on ice on Saturday yeah about two years ago game seven ALCS on the big Anke yeah and it was my ten year wedding anniversary and I had made general invasions for me my wife the river cafe that's where I proposed to her so it was a special dinner and back I was on my phone once in the fall on the whole the whole night what you really annoyed me because you know some huge anti spam but it was kinda it was kind of funny wow I I tell you Scott if that point she's got to say let's reschedule is thing but if she knows your big Yankee fan I mean not to shame her here I understand the anniversary but you can reschedule that do it a different night you got the full attention now all of a sudden this night's not gonna be a special for you too because you're distracted she's got a step up in that spot because you can't because then you'd be the villain he's got to step up and say it's okay we'll celebrate on on the night yeah I know it was it was definitely an interesting night I mean it was it was rough I'm not gonna lie and look at us yeah you know what the the ten year anniversary at the place that you proposed that's not that big that's a bigger life event with your.

NFL explains why there was no pass interference called on play that eliminated Saints

"We're going to. We're going to make football show because that's what people like over the weekend. Everybody who listens to this show presumably watched all of the football games or most of all of the football guess. He missed the playoffs playoff in Hawaii. The yes I missed that one Justin Thomas I saw this morning. I thought it was really nice but I missed it last last night because it came on pretty late We're going to do you because the ratings of the NFL up all across the board because the interest in the NFL is up all across the board and because each of those those games was quite interesting in its own way including terrible terrible. Coaching decisions by both coaches in the Houston Buffalo Game. We're going to talk about out this for an extended period of time in the first segment. Michael Wilbon will join us in second segment. We're GONNA limit news and go right to old guy where we're going to talk about the Golden Globes and the matchups for next week. That's what we're going to the show probably the same length. But I WANNA do it if you don't mind I WANNA do it that way also. WanNa thank Clarendon Tola for Baking Cooke's for Claire Gary Braun Chris Cillizza Michael Kornheiser Nigel. Who has nothing to do except for on the boards because we're not sleep keeps pressing one button? So He's been news cancelled forever now just today. If you don't mind especially the best thing is not gonNa work out just I you know I'm old and I thought why not like Michael said to me last night we were talking about the possibility of of Michael. Are you shaking your head. You don't want me to. Would you go ahead down the fourth wall. People talking about Mike Lees. I won't share this on air dead. Yeah go ahead Michael Says Cillizza how how do we get rid of him. Nicely to the change in the show today. I let's start. Let's start with yesterday's which is going to go backwards. I'm just can start with the Minnesota game because of all the games the end result of that game is the most surprises so like I said on the PTI show on Friday. I'll take Tennessee. Plus Five Live and a half all day and all night doesn't mean I think they're gonNA win. I'm GONNA take those points New Orleans. Losing at home in overtime to Minnesota is stunning drew. BREES did not have a great game he had a very bad fumble in drive. That could have changed in the fourth quarter changed. Everything around. He got picked never gets picked. I mean he did not have a great game. There are three quarterbacks forty years old and up over the weekend and they all lost. We'll get to that but even with brees not having a great game. They tied the game. They got into overtime there at home and they yielded the first drive. That's it see around. see you around Kirk cousins who. I am extraordinarily critical of on a regular basis was very good and kirk cousins to Adam Adam field and had to make up for fumble early. You know but I don't feel did that pass. That wins the game. Now there's a third downplay because what you don't want to do is have to kick a field goal because because you don't want to give New Orleans the ball on the one. Yeah you don't WanNa do that. On the third downplay they go in the left. Hand top corner of the end zone to Kyle Rudolph is about twelve aid aide just like that and by the way quickly give cousins credit. That was a terrible snap. The snap his way to his right he basically knocks it with his right hand. Quickly gathers it because you it's all timing and throws a faith throws the fate and Rudolf reaches up. He's much taller than defender and he gets it in the process of doing that he pushes off. There's no question he pushes off. Does it rise to the level of offensive pass interference for me in a playoff game and I have to give context here. New Orleans has tragically lost in Hoon's replay off games in a row cheated in one cheated by by their own stupidity in another with defensive back and I mean I honestly either call offense a pass. Interference would have so I did not I mean I I watched the play. Did Not in real time necessarily see the wrangle back is in front of your Reina Vision Right. So they call it a touchdown a apparently appropriately to me and then you see the replay and and I did think to myself. Like oh my goodness could they. Could they possibly possibly overturn this. I mean it. And we've all seen their explanation and said there was handed both sides. It didn't rise to level pass interference. I mean I'm sorry by no objective measure to me was that not pass interference and in fact is in fact a couple hours later they called the same thing on hollister tight end from. I'm from Seattle and on much less meaningful circumstance but I mean I just felt like the league. We're getting out of the way this one. I mean there's no way every time it's the UNCANNY situational right. We know this. It's like it's like a Games are raft. Basketball game is reverend different right. The game is rough differently in the last thirty seconds than it it is and that's situationally you cannot. I don't think when I watched it and I watched the replay. He pushed off a little bit. Did it it was. It did not to me anyway. I think I disagree with you. Guys did not to me look agree. Gis I think Rudolph was bigger. The defensive back had his back this business. Being that push back. Chris Locate fully extends. I think it was his left arm. Yeah if he is allowed to do that he catches that ball. A hundred injured time. He cannot be defended. Unless you play. Just there's so many calls they show throughout the game when they every time on a pass Where not every time? Seventy percent of the time on a pattern when they show the slow motion the other guy. The the DB is has his arm wrapped around around the guy's waist or is holding. His arm gets there. I just think it's very subjective. That's fine but I agree with that but I would also agree that the saints should not be shafted million better cost the saints again. Plenty of opportunities it. Certainly when you were watching the game I ah in the flow of it and when tased him hill like in three straight plays a three-stroke they score a touchdown. Now it's twenty seventeen right gary to have that right was twenty. I needed to twenty twenty twenty seven hundred twenty and then they get back they get it back and take some hill like three times. Basically the the one where he runs to the left where it looks like. He's tackled and he spins runs for thirty arts. Well they're definitely going to win then. And then brees fumbled. I mean it was very i. I lost fumbling. The ball get hit. No sort of this is arm gets hit a little bit. I'm sorry I'm busy trying to reconstruct your show on the fly without telling you so allowed back in so so tension is good for the show is for Knuckleballer To to to tie it up. What was the forty nine yard or from lots? They're kicking it through. Yeah man that went about now three feet off the ground and easier kick at the end of the first half a ball Games kick forty something already three but that's an easier kick so that game. Let me say one other thing about that game as someone who was a kirk cousins fan when he was here. I'm not going to criticize Kirk. Cousins played fine. He was he was great in that last. Drive the drive. If they lose the haters are going to look at that stat line that would have been seventeen of twenty nine hundred and ninety yards picked and he didn't do anything bad. Oh he had a good game and the pass was just

"Continues on this is six day of January the Minnesota Vikings blowing a ten point lead the fourth quarter before Kirk cousins got is playoff victory getting tight end Kyle Rudolph for a four yard touchdown on the first possession of overtime given the Vikes at twenty six twenty victory over the New Orleans Saints how do ya like that let's bring in our regular guest the great Donna Galen cranky they do I need Monday Wednesday Friday here on a F. and good Monday morning gentleman wild card weekend living up to its billing it was wild indeed now the Vikings move on to Levi's stadium a play the San Francisco forty Niners as a seven point underdog to the Niners but that was a great win yesterday for the a little controversy over the injury to the starting quarterback Carson Wentz of the eagles money the eagle players but it was a lady at budget IBM calling and Connie said now wasn't he just was finishing a play but he went out of the game after a place today man calling him to come out did don't where the guy don Galen a lot of people are saying the saints got screwed again a lot of people harkening back to last year in that call in the game with the rams did the states get screwed again well it push out there's no question but double hard to take the touchdown away because both players were bumping before the slight push off and that's the play they go to every time you know well Kyle Rudolph is a high school player in Ohio was a first team all state basketball player in the best rebounder in the state and in effect he went up and got a rebound but when the game about the same as that of one third straight playoff game on the last play of the game it's happened three times in a row that you wanna talk about snake bit yeah that's that's babble Galen your prediction of the patriots losing came true it's just you're late what what what's what's the future for Tom Brady guys what's the future of this franchise or or does it just do they just data a troubled player and move on well you know there's a big divide in an organization of people haven't talked about everybody's playing nice right now all they all love each other if they didn't love each other in twenty seventeen when Brady did not why Jimmy Garoppolo backing him up it's a fact and Bob Kraft made the decision he's the owner that he wanted to rob Lowe traded now we know what happened is going to the forty Niners and their in the play houses a topsy the NFC with them if the top tier quarterback now and it would be worth forty years of age was Brady when the trade was made in twenty seventeen an hour ago I was a second round draft choice Belichick is still upset about it I don't know what's going to happen with Tom Brady in a win win in the upcoming season but I do know is going to play football again next season yeah well I I a lot of people are predicting a allows farmers like departure I I highly doubt that Tom Brady's going to go play for the jets but who knows who knows right now well guys the bills had the Texans beat and and they blew it I mean what what happened here in this game well the tech to stay with the game plan is kept attacking a built in the early lead and then things started to go run and won a playoff game in twenty five years they're not accustomed to winning and the Texan that was a great win for them and now they have found in the playoffs next round in a playoff game there are no underdog again they'll be playing in Kansas city on Sunday the nine and a half point underdog it should be noted that Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson with the win yesterday he's now one nine playoff games at quarterback so well let me take a while for the you know somebody's got to get the first one is this guy has a proven winner in the playoffs I'd be remiss if I didn't mention on why this is the legendary performance we hit a bad first that he did nothing that perfect first apple completely outplayed by the bills quarterback yet judge challenge one one and performance in the second half was legendary I mean you watching that guy in college when he beat Alabama in the in the title game of the watch the end of filming this guy's good anyone lately gable well for you want to have the ball well who does Dallas one at the helm Jason Garrett's out I mean it is Marvin Lewis the answer even played well error he coast while in Cincinnati but I had a lot of pressure I don't think it's more Lewis I mean they also interviewed Mike McCarthy the X. Green Bay Packers coach is only that went really well he came in there on Saturday that with them all day and it's the the the other day on Sunday to be with the the Joneses Jerry this on Stephen so I think they're quite interested in him but the Dallas Cowboys a five billion dollar franchise bad the most valuable sports franchise in the world I mean they can get anyone they want I I don't think Lincoln Riley had a question urban Meyer either but they can do that is because they got pick of the litter I think that they're going around is going to sign a ten year extension with Oklahoma and he's not leaving their in window you do get the you get the richest demon and sports in the cowboys if you go there you also get the owner Jerry Jones on television five times a week talking about his team putting pressure on you never see the forty Niners owner on or any big winners that's a big problem you've got a live with Jerry Jones and it's not going to change he built a team as his team I need you to be up front says right out of the eyes on the general manager even if they have lost in the playoffs Friday years yeah so if you want a lot of pressures from above what you will the court Kabal organization yeah yeah I don't know if Marvin Lewis is the guy to guy to put up with that based on the hardwood guys Boston Celtics said Dave there are soaring with Kylie Irving we've seen this before though I mean without within without chi re so what what's the answer they're on fire right now that they won eight of their last nine games they're playing the lead defense of in some of the best defense in the league and they literally have three players capable of making the all star team this year be Chasin Tatum Kaelin brown and Campbell Walker in the recipe to their success like you said that has clearly been the absence of chi reserving a Celtics last year with serving on the team were a miserable team there is no enjoyment there's no ball movement on the court determined Jaylen brown both regret last year they had a terrible season now with high regard these guys are all writing that and the defense is so much improved without Tyree and don't forget about Gordon Hayward who looks like the all star player he was two years ago so the Celtics watch out there's certainly a real beef the knees you gotta love the Lakers twenty blocks in there defeat over the pistons I mean that was that that that was fun to watch in in the day and age of when we we just have seen threes for about five years twenty blocks such as the posted an NBA game in twenty years a totally how great that was at the Lakers came into the gate leading the league with six blocked shots per game and it was funny but the Lakers better playing with a lot of big this year the plan with seven folders on the court tool at a time and they're not playing small ball at a time when the NBA's virtually given up on big the Lakers are going in the opposite direction they're going old school you want to drive to record your three point shot you want to drive to the rim go ahead because to fill McGee played Howard anti Davis are gonna block your shot yeah and the next only lost by three against the clippers in their low key beating some garbage teams in and barely losing to some good teams watch that game last night that it makes played their hearts out of it really playing very very hard right now you got to be impressed with them a little bit yeah yeah my wallet in NBA league pass doesn't care it explains hi guys we appreciate your time as a twenty years of it's just money spent on games and items and market we just want wins we just wanna wins I don't want to pay no for to watch more games are by more year guys we well I check back in with you on Wednesday thank you so much for your time as always thanks Matt all right that is the great don and Galen creaky they doing each Monday Wednesday Friday here on a F. and the rumors surrounding the I. head coaching gig at Dallas you heard the great don creaky say I don't know what's going through Tom Brady's head right now that dad don closer that franchise in a lot of people are you heard about the turmoil so who knows more breaking news all the way on this Monday morning you're listening to America's first news breaking news first America's first news will be right back why they were not very good with our health regiment until it's too late we don't put oil in the car until.

"Well your doubt he did in fact when a big game he's one of our candidates for Monday and B. P. his first playoff win though he downplayed his role I'm just really won a playoff game you know I I just do my part we won the game today because we played great defense we gotta turn we had good special teams a great play call and we had a great plan the protected we ran the football probably had thirty five forty rushing at times there's a whole lot of reasons we won the game to the quarterback play role now yes but it was it was a team right over time with him is his opportunity to shine though when he grabbed that bull by the horns the third down pass this divine Diggs that when ten yards and then three steps later the forty three yard bomb to Adam Feelin and obviously the Kyle Rudolph touchdown pass in the corner wow Xers stoner in the super dome it was just as stunning I think for the patriots to lose at hold to the Titans to is six feet they dropped three of their last four games at home at this time it was the Titans who delivered blow after blow mostly with Derrick Henry Ryan Tannehill let he was held to seventy two yards but he's familiar with the path and this was also his first playoff action the like a football game you know I once was going to feel like a football game and there was louder this place is louder than any other time I've been up here but other than that you know they thought the football game and guys a competing in and plan our the chain hell being able to finally taste post season after being injured with the Miami Dolphins and of course taking over for the Titans when he wasn't the starter to begin the year lastly this John Watson what a moment escaping it over time making the big play and you know how comfortable help we see is on this big state he actually was talking about his days a clip that remember leading the Tigers to a national championship he still draws on that experience.

"Week from the Mercedes AMG man cave go to the Dan Patrick show I'm watching listen from inside the Mercedes AMG man cave Mercedes AMG driving performance he's the star tight end for the Minnesota Vikings sees Kyle Rudolph and a problem of elder high school I did some research on you Kyle and I have been there for an elder football game what do they do they they split the it does it like fifty fifty do they do that the crowd with money you remember that all the split apart yeah grab a big deal at first you got about twelve thousand people in there and I think that's what people look or to post I'm not the game but how high the football will get and I remember seeing key Klay in high school when I went that guy seems like he's all over the place there he's he's pretty good and then he went to what Boston College I sort of lost track of him where is I remember you were a great basketball player remember more of you for basketball than I do football how close was it that you were gonna play basketball in college you know it it's something that I think back to add the sixteen year old kid I always tell people you know kind of just worked out with local I don't really ever remember making a decision or thinking of myself I you're choosing football over basketball because I love both of our so much fun playing basketball I was fortunate enough to have scholarship offers are both in football and basketball but you know it's it's really hard for me to think back and say all well what if I were to pick basketball football you're having been in Minnesota for almost ten years and you know being settled here playing in one place for that long it's been pretty cool if you didn't go to Notre Dame where were you going you know I made my decision early in the recruiting process but a lot of the other schools that I liked a lot we're in the S. E. G. like Tennessee Florida issue my family with certain but I chose four hours from home and and they were able to come to every home game and then you know we played about two or three big ten schools every year as well which was all within three hours of home I I found and don't you have a a big tattoo of a line on your chest okay but you're in the division with the lions I know so my wife would let me get a panther you know the elders the Panthers yeah and let me get a panther also when I had to go back to the drawing board and do some research to figure out you know what what's important hang on for a second there come got a suspect phone connection we got to get Troy Aikman to tell everybody what harm he uses his gorgeous upon like Troy has an unbelievable phone connection like that it feels like he's in the studio with us when we have him on yeah can you have a line on your chat one on a Viking or army Panthers your high school I would you want a panther be cool yeah like a lion is great but still you're in the division with alliance there you're a Mason comment yelling do you consider the notes now now now I tend to to other teams I don't add too much him and those are removable now they're not no those memories are going to stay with those teams for ever yeah and I've had to some people and so for she's trying to get a a better phone connection here without a roof yeah elder high school elder just lost in the state championship in Ohio went where you grew up was there the high school that you they recruit some of the Catholic school yeah yeah yeah elder molar never molar how great mower was in there was still in school Spielman was from Massillon up up north but yeah elder just lost in the state championship game but elder all boys school they see a purple that must've been a nice transition Kyle you go from purple in high school and then your purple with the Vikings with Notre Dame in between there I glad to have you back out here yeah sorry about that we're we're driving were being worked on in the middle of nowhere so those are not great cell phone reception out here but anyway yes it out for me being in purple and the kid it's actually funny so before I wore purple elder I went to an elementary school called visitation and we were the visitation Crikey also my life come full circle I'm now a Viking and I were and I still go back to the panther thing I I it you know and I have to talk to your wife about that I think I'd rather you had a panther than a lion even though keep your give you grief though if you go all you got a panther on their yeah so the printer is the story United did some research and and all right around the line is a bunch of flowers and the birds flowers of my daughters my wife and my mom and the lion is a protector of okay not hurt so that's why we went with client kind of the the king if you will it not because of the Detroit occurrence he said Kyle Rudolph the Vikings tight and you got an update on delving cooks injury the album's been battling all year I mean when when you carry the ball as many times as you do he has you know you get bumps and bruises but not you he's a fighter and you know we've now dollars you can't be out there every week what do you see different with the Kirk cousins I think the biggest thing about curfews we're doing things offense civilly to put him in in comparable situations No Way Out alarms played out you know we got into situations where games turn into drop back passing games drop back there on the ball thirty eight forty forty five times and no matter how good your often the line is it if your quarterbacks dropping back to the same spot every single time the rushers in this league are just too talented and and this year we've gotten back to run the football more move in the pocket making things a little bit more unpredictable our defense is an extra super rushers because they can't just in their ears back knowing that the quarterback it would be a spot right behind the center and get there I know you got to us some spotty cell service here so let me get the sponsor mention here American cancer society crucial catch program files.

"Have high expectations going to season and you don't reach them, you know, you kind of take a step back and refocus and reassess what made us so successful two thousand seventeen and we're going to get back to that for awesome, awesome. I gotta ask, because it's pretty good buzz within the NFL world. I mean, the patriots of taking a look at you as maybe being a replacement for gronk. Who's who's out the door? I mean from my perspective. Seems like high praise. I'm just curious. How does that hit you? Because I mean Tom Brady throws an okay ball. It okay to play with them. All right. Right. It's it's interesting because having played for coach Weiss at Notre Dame. I feel like I've kind of followed that organization from afar. And you know you look at the success that they've had over the last two decades. You know it's unprecedented unmatched in our league. So you know, obviously my focus is in Minnesota and you know, we're in the midst of OTA's right now. And like I said the last couple of weeks, you know, I would be doing myself a disservice, if I wasn't focused on Minnesota and make myself a better football player each and every day there in prepared myself to, to be better next year. Yeah. Great stuff. Great stuff. I'll tell you what Kyle Rudolph is our guest talk to me about nationwide bringing in to play here at near field. What I know about nationwide is they love quality athletes, but they might value the character, the good guy just a little bit more. How do you fit that mold, and no question? And obviously with nationwide being the presenting sponsor of the Walter Payton man of the year award, which in our industry. Is the highest honor? You know, just everything that nationwide stands for is what I myself try to stand for we had the opportunity to go over to nationwide children's hospital last night. And listen to Dale Earnhardt jR, speak about his experience at the children's hospital and I was just sitting there listening and finger to myself, you know, his experiences exactly what my experiences like in Minnesota to children's hospital. You get in those hospitals, you meet the patients, you meet their families. You get to know their story. And, you know, you automatically feel connected to them. So it was pretty special to be over there, last night and being in an Ohio guy, obviously with nationwide being here in Columbus. You know I feel like I'm at home right now. And like I said, it's a great partnership because everything that nationwide. Stands for I stand for as well. And we try to do at the children's hospital in Minnesota. Well, you look you look pretty comfortable here in your well, not hometown. But, you know, your home state for sure. So what do you know about Ernie? Els. The big easy, we're we're excited to play with Ernie today. We were joking last night that Ernie price doesn't play golf with many guys taller than so at six foot three. He's a pretty big off. No doubt. But yeah I'm gonna try to like we were talking before the show as a football player. I tend to swing pretty hard. So I would expect maybe Ernie can help me out. And so me a finger to. He's got such a smooth swing for a big guy and. Yeah. Looking forward to point today. You told me right before we got on Darren Clarke gave you a little nugget. What was that daring is a great guy? He was a captain of the European team up at Hazeltine, a couple of years ago in Minnesota and spent some time with him at Augusta this year and you know, daring a funny guy and he's joking around. He said. Yeah. You know you football players if a little is good more is better and that, pretty much describes my golf swing. It's like if I don't think I have enough club. I'll just doing a little harder. The right formula. That is exactly the wrong formula. Dude, take a little more club. Swing a little easier. Get it on the green may. Yeah, what we wish about success have fun with thanks so much for stopping. Thanks for having me. Absoulutely Kyle Rudolph on NewsRadio six ten WTVN, traffic.

"Getting some hazy sunshine right now it is. Absolutely. A gorgeous morning to be anywhere near this golf course. Right now, we've got pros and Joe's as met puts it pros heading for the pro-am and Joe's the regular folks that get to play along. What a treat that's got to be for golfers across central Ohio. We know that there are some great pairings out right now out about probably three holes in now, Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning. We saw a few jerseys coming in for Peyton to sign and in the past, we've watched them just go right down the edges of the fairways. Sign autographs talk to people on his way to hit balls. So we know he's out there getting that done again. He tiger teed off at seven. Clock and just about eight minutes from right now, Rickie Fowler. And Graham Ray hall set to go off, Keegan Bradley and urban Meyer. If you're coming into watch that group, go coach Meyer said his whole goal is to keep it in the short grass. He lives out here at the course says, they have not mode, the roughs since the weekend, and he says it's brutal. So if you wanna watch some fun if guys hit a little sideways, that is going to be a fantastic group. Keeping Bradley one of the great guys on tour little later this morning, eight twenty six just off the air with Jason Taylor hall of Famer, he's teamed up. With Aaron wise, they are set to go at eight twenty six this morning. And then Ernie Els tease it up with Kyle Rudolph were scheduled to talk to Kyle here coming up in just a couple of minutes. So a lot of good stuff happening at Muirfield Village. We're live through the morning this morning, and then as we track through the rest of the week, and we're scheduled to talk to all kinds of great people, including we'll grimmer a will state product that's playing this year on a sponsor's exemption his first. Teamed up with the big guys at near field village and Bryson d Shambo last year's champion. We'll chat with him a little later as well. So keep it right here, NewsRadio six ten WTVN, seven thirty. Let's update that traffic.

"Have him over Hopkinson. I'm actually that's how most people viewed the tight end situation. During <unk> Hopkinson End <hes> <unk> fan is fan was actually the more athletic projected to be better veteran like you were saying this year. Just people dug into the tape of Hopkinson. Really you know saw what a talent he was but it's interesting that you have him <hes> number one dollars supremacy. I I see as both ways for sure so I was thinking next talk about your Smith Junior and Irv Smith junior he I went to the Vikings second round pick out of Alabama and like he had a lot of differing opinions because of this blocking because of his pass catching edging like people are a bit split on him us a what do you think about him and do you think that it's a good fit in the vikings offense. I definitely think it's a good fit in the vikings offense. <hes> Kyle Rudolph has honestly never really lived up to all the other potential on hype that I heard about Kyle Rudolph on news drafted. I'm pretty sure he was a first round pick. If I remember correctly <hes> but I just it just never seemed to click. He was often injured and whatnot I hope ERC Smith can step in there but to me art. Smith is a little bit of a raw talent meaning like he's kind of like fresh to the game in that sometimes sometimes shows up in his blocking <hes> but he really has good genes <hes> I know his father I believe was n._F._l.. Tied in <hes> and and I think he was drafted by the saints. If I if I recall correctly but <hes> but yeah I think he's I think he's a fairly a really talented players. Got A lot of he's got a good skill set. He has the chance to start early. There would call Rudolph obviously sleet cut. I don't think they're going to kind of keep them around. Especially after drafting aerosmith in the early rounds you drop those early mount players to be potentially starters and and and additions to your team quickly like immediate immediate additions <hes> so yeah I mean he doesn't need to bulk up a little bit. You can see it on on <hes> he might end up in the slot a Kayak crashing down on the end on in blocking situations more so than lining up with his hand down but <hes> you could definitely use that bulk up for blocking the ever wants to get his hand on the ground and try to face up a a clay alias Campbell type layer or you know someone you know. Maybe you know one of those times where they play Aaron Donald and he's on the outside that would be mismatch match for sure <hes> yeah I but other than that I mean I have a player have a couple of players on on like O._J.. Howard that was just drafted Alabama on and then I think also kind of like them to Ben Watson a big place for the saints at the moment correct Eric Yeah so when I was actually a scouting or Smith junior the thing that showed so broadly to me is that his route the tree is very like extensive by the issue is that his route running has some holes in like the difference between the twos who is that really tree is like the amount of routes that you know in you can run so like? Can you on slants. Can you're on curls. Can you go routes. Can you on post like that sort of thing but route running is like how you execute those routes and when I watch urged Smith junior like quarterbacks were able to stay with him because because of his rounded roots wouldn't like I played football bit <hes> and when I was like always running I try to make sharp cuts into my route because that's that's the best way to really shake off a defender but since his routes are a bit rounded it allows the cornerback some extra time and it's a lot easier like figure out that here Smith junior is going to be outlet cut but I think that <hes> he's a very good talent. Key is a bit raw but he can get like a lot better. He has great opportunity in that Viking offense so let's move onto cleo Got Those quick. <unk> quick twitch like type movements are very good hand. Eye Coordination speed and quickness is like some part of his game. That's what he's about so he can get up. You could leave <hes>. He's a pretty tall duty six five two hundred two hundred and fifty two pounds but that it's a real lean to fifty two so when you look at him you're almost like Oh man that guy's definitely a basketball player <hes> but he can get up and he can own the mall in the air so so <hes> you know the Houston Texans situation at at a at tight end tends to be a little bit <hes> Skim <hes> not much there to that. I can't even remember I. I don't even know if I can pin their their starting tight end right now. That might be my fault but I can't think of it at at the moment but speaks upside for <hes> for warring <hes> so yeah I would say has pretty high potential. <hes> blocking might be a a little bit of a struggle for him as I talked. It's a six five hundred fifty two pound frame so it's a little a little bit thin but <hes> I'm sure I'm sure the figure out some techniques Lisa blocking into car route off a little bit as a player so yeah yeah and like I agree with everything everything he said like <unk> I kept saying Khalil Cahuenga warring like I think that like he is very raw but that abutted profile comes through when and you see all the sports he played in like. I think that translates pretty well to the N._F._l.. So next let's move onto Jay. Stern Burger in this is on who's like I actually he's. He's my number three tight end <hes> in dynasty because of the spot like Green Bay. I don't think Jimmy grand is really gonNA stay. Eh offered that much longer and although the like the draft capital wasn't as high as like Earth's mit junior he still was a third rounder at added taxes A._M.. At six four to fifty one so what do you think about his attributes like his pros cons and like who you competent to yeah I mean I agree with you. I think like he is going to be he is a quarterback Aaron Hernandez Aaron Hernandez <hes> Aaron Rodgers I think he's at he's guy that perfect I agree. I think Jimmy Grams time is Kinda. Come into end so it's a good situation for Jason Berg that he can make the best of it. He was a third round at Texas A._M.. Six four two hundred and fifty pounds that's we're getting all these tight ends under like perfect. Titans is but like we said earlier this this warring and starnberger and more tight ends tended to be that drop off area so it's really up to Jason if he wants to make something out of his career now make the most out of his time with a with a Aaron Rodgers <hes> <hes> even though he may seem like an inline blocker he he actually also is more of the in-space blocking type Titan. He's a good route runner and he's a pretty good receiver. Impasse catcher knows how to not really secure the ball I good hand eye coordination and and he adjusts routes well on the fly <hes> e could improve in blocking like I said earlier like I said it's kind of more of a spatial type blocking so maybe more so lined up in the sky or I'm coming from a fullback situation by could bulk up a little more if he wants to play if he lines ends up in a slot life fullback or the back so yeah I kinda like it up. Do a player like Jack Doyle Yeah and I think people are forgetting. Doyle was a quality tied like he got injured like a law ariss career and since we had the Eric Abram like coming out scoring touchdowns like every single game having that monstrous touchdown ray at monsters fancy ins a Jack Doyle is still very good tight end and if it was just him and Andrew Luck in Eric Lebron wasn't there a than Jack Doyle would be like a top five tight end so I think people are sleeping on him. I'm a bit <unk> <unk> Burger like I liked his talent as the fourth best <hes> just pure talent in the draft at thought he is a bit betting he'll warring but thousands me and with his opportunity like that rockets even over Smith in my opinion so right now I actually have Noah Fan. I have <hes> T._J.. Hopkinson I have J. Serger than I've urged Smith and lastly I have coghill warring radio might help five so for Dynasty Dynasty ranks so let's get into couples sleepers here <hes> just quick touch on them <hes> because like we're running low on time but elise Mac from I'm the saints like he's a low draft capital <hes> seventh round pick but he does have great opportunity with Ben Watson. He says he may be coming back but he's he's getting old and that entire offense like if abuse MAC has a chance to plan drew brees that can be something special in me Josh Albert to you because you're just the Jaguars fan here. So why do you think about Josh Oliver. I actually am very excited about <hes> John Oliver. I mean he's a he's a tall tight end. <hes> kind of a pass catching guy can own the on the ball on the same routes you know <hes> I think he's Gonna I'm not saying he is a <hes> Zach Earth's but I believe that's how John Diva Developiong once used him in the Jaguars offense and I think he kinda I wanna just nick foles needs that so easily pass catcher definitely in amis starter <hes> especially percents you know all the jags have right now is kind of I think they have shaughnessy and he's kind of special teamer in Austin Superior Jenkins as we touched on the Patriots now <hes> and I really I really think this guy is going to be athletic. Mega happen for for cajones so yeah. That's it for our tight end portion so now let's get into the running bags and we are below on time so we're going Comienza bid but yeah I would start with Josh shake ABC's a number twenty four pick in the first round which is the second of the raiders three picks as I mentioned previously eh in. I think this is a great landing spot. So what do you think about like his abilities in his pass catching in his rushing and do you you think he could be like like someone who greatly benefits at offense especially after the chorale injury. Oh Yeah I think I think Josh Jacobs jobs was a a wonderful pick for the raiders one of my favorite pick for them. In the first round I think especially after they reached <unk> barrel however is he's a great running back good frame five ten two hundred twenty pounds. He's he's got barely any tread on his tires on talking about like not even half of what most running back Aksu who were drafted have so that's a huge upside after splitting it three ways at Alabama splitting the <unk> three ways Alabama he really has a lot lot left in the tank coming freshly into the N._F._l.. So that's awesome I think honestly he has a high ceiling. He's going to hop right in there is rumors of marshawn Lynch saying that he might come back retirement but those are just rumors at this point <hes> if Oakland would want him back on they may not even want back but they might but.

"You have big games for Kirk cousins. And and guys like that. But ultimately the goal for every game is to win the game going out win the game. The bears won the game fourteen two nine some people say not an impressive game. You know, what they want the game in the NFL is not easy to win yesterday half. The teams lost the bears were not one of those teams. They won the game fourteen two nine Seattle went to Levi's stadium last week and played the Niners. Guess what Seattle lost? So you know winning is the ultimate goal. And that's what the bears have been able to do bears defense. Of course is a team is is the biggest part of this team. They got another interception yesterday as daddy to Raith and picked off a pass late in the game. Which was obviously. Big. No they needed to do that. I was really interested to see how they were gonna play without Eddie Jackson and they'll probably play without Eddie Jackson. Again this coming week. I think this coming week without any Jackson. Going up against the Minnesota Vikings team that needs the win to guarantee themselves a playoff spot. This is going to be a test for Dionne Bush at Adrian Amos ammos actually had a really good game. I was looking to some of the numbers earlier and let me see here. He's not running this one. I have I had so much stuff on the game where Adrian ammos actually had a pretty decent game. Would I grab his tackle numbers for the contest? And that was good to see because Adrian, ammos, he was second on the team in tackles. Roquan Smith had nine tackles Adrian animals had eight. So he stepped up his game without Eddie Jackson being their trevathan was seven Khalil Mack had five. You only had one sack that was the roquan Smith when he came wide open. So very very important stuff. How the bears are going to play defensively playing against the Niners without very good receivers. And when the young quarterback is one thing playing defense with Kirk cousins and Adam Phelan and Stefan digs and Kyle Rudolph. That's a whole other story playing in their building. So that's gonna be real interesting to see how the bears are able to play and defend this Minnesota Vikings team three one two three three two three seven seven six. Let's get back to some baseball talk to old town Georgia on ESPN thousand eight George. It looks like betting that they're trying to force. The dodgers handle that extra clearance on the payroll, which is I think, you know. Was the master. And I think a fallback of Pollock would be fantastic. If he stays help you what do you think? Yeah. Stephen Pollock healthy is a huge huge situation. You know, if in fact, you got him you could that actually move guy like Albert, Al more. If you're going to cause I still think they're gonna have to move one of those three guys I've been saying that all off season and it hasn't happened yet. So maybe I'm wrong. But I kind of thought they would move either. Now, Mora Ishwar or a half the more. I look at it. It's not going to be Schwarzer. They love Schwarzer. He's like one of their kids one of their little kids their own kids as well. I think it would be either Hapoel more if they did grab a guy. Like Pollock that'd be a completely different story. But you you think the the Harper situation, you don't think there's any changes coming here. Do you? I really think he's he's kind of an LA kinda dude. If you know what I mean? With the hair. Coast to coast. I mean seems like the perfect fit out there. But why not force the hand if we can and try to call back. He get stronger on our end. George. Appreciate the call. The one thing that I think the cubs have gone forms aproach the season first of all they won ninety five games last year. Okay. It's not like they you know, they had an awful season. They didn't hit in the last month earlier. It didn't hit in down the stretch, and they need to figure out why. And it's so it was so much fun. Watching the ball, very rarely say this.
