We have got to get these numbers and and you know why so we can reopen the bars and restaurants. That's Governor Pritzker talking just a few minutes ago, just a few minutes from now, we will talk to Sam Toia from the Illinois Restaurant Association. By Sunday, 90% of Illinois's restaurants will be closed. Maur. Voters have voted early in Texas, then voted altogether in the 2016 election. We'll get an inside look from Austin, Texas and closer to home will also check in with the early voting to Page County. Instead of watching sports all the time taking a close look at the Bears as we get set for that match up with the Saints Alan Robinson, there's Star receivers having a big year listed as doubtful. He's been in concussion protocol and, of course, the Chicago Sports world. Still talking about the Tony LaRussa higher for the White Sox and Kim Gordon is in news this afternoon. Yes, Steve or watching the Corona virus numbers continue to rise in Illinois and also both presidential candidates in Wisconsin. Today. So big state for Wisconsin there for the Democrats for the Republicans were going to talk to Texas a little bit later. I'd love that statistic at this that Texas and Hawaii Are the only two states that have now exceeded with early votes. They're total votes from 2016. That's pretty remarkable. Yeah, really is And also I didn't realize that the Texas has not gone blue since 1976 Jimmy Carter. Ah would beat Well, That would've been Gerald Ford in 1976. I don't think they've had a Democratic officeholder. Don't know the notes in front of me now since the mid nineties, a statewide and so they're hoping for that. We'll talk a little bit later to John Engel. He's a political reporter for K E X A. N That's the next star station in Austin. Kyle Riton house in the News. So many stories today are linked to Wisconsin. Right, Kyle Riton house will be heading up there. Yes, he is He. A judge ruled today that he can be extradited to Kenosha and the In the case that he killed Tio two men while protesting and during the unrest in August and injuring another. Here's the 17 year old who said he was going there from Antioch to protect businesses and Ended up in gunfire and also the Fox Khan story Now Scott Walker was the governor of Wisconsin. When they had this Foxconn deal. Illinois was vying for it. Yeah, lucky what? We'll be careful what you wish for, I guess, but You know, Wisconsin made all of these concessions to Fox gone because, you know, was it 100,000 jobs were supposed to be coming just over the border would have been good for Illinois to cause a lot of people would have worked in Wisconsin and lived in the county. But I mean There's almost nothing there, right? Yeah, just a couple 100 jobs and you know, so now the state of Wisconsin says they're not. They're not eligible for the tax credits that they were originally promised. I mean, they've been building up 94 for three or four years. It seems like and Maybe it's all going to go for not Kevin is it is the LaRussa debated turning for Tony dollars. It's still pretty fiercely against him. I would say the overall reaction the general consensus from Sox fans was against the Tony LaRussa higher. Yeah, I didn't think that one of the biggest parts is that it's been nine years since he's managed. And also just because there were some other options out there as well. There's a report today that Bruce Bochy, who's Ah, getting to make this about age, but I guess I just did cause I'm bringing up his age. But he's about 10 years younger than Tony LaRussa, and he's only a year out of managing, and he's won three World Series. That kind of checks all the boxes. Of what Rick consoles us a few weeks ago, where he said he was looking for someone with the recent championship experience. Tony LaRussa doesn't necessarily fit that mold. But as Rick concert yesterday, everything changed once, Tony said He had some interest in the gig after I guess he had Had been offered, or at least talk to teams over the recent years about returning to managing and he had said no. So they're a little taken back when he said Yes. And then here we are now a. J. Hinch was hired today. It sort of looks like maybe he was in the running here and was waiting for that job to go away. Well, I had seen some report that said the White Sox hadn't even interviewed a and how accurate that is. I don't know where Connie even said, You know, there was a lot more names and interviews that were done that we're even reported throughout the baseball world. So Yeah, I know. A lot of Sox fans was kind of. Ah, one more. Punch to the gut. Today, after Tony the Rooster gets hired and they're upset. They open up Twitter this morning and they see a J. Hinch is headed the tagger, and they can't even go drown their sorrows on South Western Avenue. No, no Kevin Powell is watching sports. We're going to take a break, and then we're all going to go out to dinner..

Some On The Right See 17-Year-Old Charged With Killing 2 Kenosha Protesters As Hero

"Riton House, the 17 year old charged with killing two protesters in Kenosha, Wisconsin, goes before a judge tomorrow for a preliminary hearing. Rittenhouse has become a hero to some on the right. Sean Johnson of Wisconsin public radio reports on those pushing that narrative. After Kenosha police shot Jacob Lake, a black man in the back multiple times. The city erupted into protest on August 25th Kyle Rittenhouse made the 20 mile trip to Kenosha from his home in Antioch, Illinois. Rittenhouse, a lifeguard and a vocal supporter of police said he was there to protect the local business and offer medical help if needed. He walked through the crowds that night with an air 15 rifle strapped to his chest. What happened that night is disputed and will eventually be hashed out in court. But a full scale public relations blitz is underway by some of written houses supporters. A group called the Fightback Foundation released a dramatic video compilation of cellphone footage from the night of the shootings. It claims Riton House fired his gun on Lee after being chased and attacked. Narrator speaks of Rittenhouse being sacrificed by politicians. But it's not Kyle Riton house there after their end game is to strip away the constitutional right of all citizens. To defend our communities, our personal property. Our lives and the lives of our loved ones written houses cause got the attention of conservative media figures. Here's former Florida attorney general Pam Bondi, on Fox News. What's it coming, too? In these liberal cities? When teenagers have to go out there to try to provide aid? The Fightback Foundation says it's raised almost $2 million for Riton House. The group's chairman, is Linwood, a prominent attorney who made a name for himself representing Richard Jewell in the 1996 Olympic bombing case. Longtime Wisconsin defense lawyer Dean Strang, who is not involved in this case, says the teens, attorneys may well argue self defence, but it has nothing to do in the first instance with being the hero. It has everything to do with whether you will be held responsible for killing other people or you want. Kyle Rittenhouse is charged with first degree reckless homicide in the death of 36 year old Joseph Rosenbaum and first degree intentional homicide in the death of 26 year old Anthony Huber. Huber. Surviving partner, Hannah Giddings is among a group of plaintiffs who this week filed a civil lawsuit against Riton House and a Kenosha militia group in a YouTube clip. She talks about Hubert. The assignment was met with outrage by some putting Kyle Riton house in the same league is Gandhi and someone familiar with it, who spoke to CBS In in Dallas, said the teachers, misspellings of Gandhi and Malcolm X were pretty outrageous to seeing in assignment from an English teacher that stipulates that it would be created on spelling and then riddled with spelling errors would be enough to give anyone pause as too like the integrity of the assignment. "Another one that was played by Dustin Hoffman in the movie All the President's men. Hollywood always liked Woodward. Better They had Robert Redford play him is not exactly Robert Redford. I think it would be fair to say But Carl Bernstein, starved for attention in these challenging times, was on CNN yesterday and declared President Trump to be a homicidal president. Homicidal president. Because he held a rally in Arizona, where people were given masks and invited to unmask given hand sanitizer and things in the news media is I rate that people decided not to wear their masks in a crowd because they're not protest ng, I guess or rioting or looting or burning are attacking 17 year olds are attacking the police or throwing Molotov cocktails. In which case the news media is fine with people not wearing masks there. They have no comment about it. Under those circumstances, what When normal people get together, the news media becomes irate about this. I saw Allison camera this morning on CNN, just shaking her head and sucking her teeth and pissed. Well, we're gonna have to wait a couple of weeks and see. We just hope everyone doesn't die. They just wanna They just hope because they care very deeply about human life. Especially Trump supporters on DH. I'm marveling at this Onda again. The old double standard thing with these people were it not for double standards, liberals would have no standards at all. They don't say a thing. Not a peep out of these people. As your Aunt Ruth used to say, not a peep, not a peep out of these people when it comes to the riots and looting and the mob violence and the screaming at everybody, and that that bald child rapist and serial little boy child rapist and Kano sho that was shot by the 17 year old Kyle Riton house. And they really hate Kyle written. How's what's his name? Juan Williams was taking shots at Kyle Riton house last night. He can't remember his name, of course, but taking shots at him and he is a really terrible person. Is the community lifeguard. Earlier in the day he was the community lifeguard. 17 year old Want to be a police officer want to protect property from violent mobs that were looting and burning study came out, said more than $15 million in damage to Kenosha. Not exactly Chicago. It's a small place $50 million. At least I'm sure it'll turn out being more than that. But that's okay. Andi. I gotta tell you, you know they're all they're heroes. They're criminals. All the Democrat Party. All their heroes are criminals. It's very consistent these days. They love Criminals, especially violent, criminally insane. It helps if they're also child. Sexual abusers like the creep in Kenosha, That was that was shot, but just extraordinary stuff. And and you know, I read about these crazy people in the violent Riots at the peaceful, mostly peaceful protests. That the news media tells about Inspector story about how all the violence across America's right wing violence in the post. It ends with the line about how there mostly peaceful, mostly peaceful. We have mostly peaceful T shirts and mostly peaceful coffee mugs with Chris plants because of this very absurdity, this very irony which they do not comprehend. Extraordinary stuff. But all they're heroes. They're criminals and most of the mind convinced are mentally ill and probably psychopathic, which I was reading about why I was reading about psycho path yesterday. And psychology today, laying out the characteristics of a psycho path, which is given away by the absence of off empathy. On a callousness detachment When it comes to other people. Lack of empathy enables psycho pads to be highly manipulative on it is it's full of fascinating stuff. Glibness, grandiose sense of self worth need for stimulation. Does it sound like the people riding across America? Hey, they're manipulative con people There is a lack of remorse or guilt reduced emotional responses. They're callous. They typically live parasitic lifestyle that is their parasites. They live in their parentsbasement when they're 28 years old, and they steal stuff and live off of other people's drugs, You know poor behavioral controls anything sound familiar? Promiscuous sexual behaviors. The the occupy movement early behavioral problems on I love these lack of realistic long term goals. Well, it means the whole black lives matter. Democrat Party thing is psychopathic. That's that's a lack of realistic long term goals. Ask a black lives matter what their goals are, what they are or what their objectives are. They don't have any. It's to make a better world or something mentally dwarf like Like that impulsivity irresponsibility, failure to accept responsibility for one's own actions. Many short term relationships, juvenile delinquency. These are the signs according to psychology today of Psycho Path, E of what is a psycho path, and I've got to say the Democrats have really organized The psycho paths of America and mobilize them into the streets of our country, Big cities and small across America. Lancaster, Pennsylvania riots and Lancaster, Pennsylvania because a knife wielding wife beating a wife beater wearing criminal attacked the police. Bodycam shows it with a knife and got shot and the Democrats are on the side of the knife wielding wife beater. The police were called because of domestic violence by the woman who was the Victim of the domestic violence. And when the police showed up, the guy came busting out of the house with a knife in his hand wearing a wife beater and attacked the police and he was shot and the Democrats are on the side, not of the police. "Valentine Show thrilled Ambulance 6157379986. 615737 Vanderbilt docks students for not agreeing that the Constitution is white supremacists. This is where we are folks. Not only that, but Facebook. Is removing post supporting Kyle Riton house. But let me get to the Let me get to the Van de Story first. This from the Federalist. A student advantage. Was docked points on a quiz Tuesday. For rejecting the statement of the Constitution was designed to perpetuate white supremacy and protect the institution of slavery. According to Care, a soup of Young America's foundation. The required quiz was part of a class on the 2020. U. S elections taught by university professors Josh Clinton. New GI Kim. Being John Gear. And Jon Meacham. Yeah, the same Jon Meacham, who spoke on behalf of former Vice President Joe Biden at the Democrats virtual convention just two weeks ago. According to Y F the class syllabus deems the course the largest class that Vanderbilt has ever told. Vanderbilt University did not merely responded the federals request for comment. The idea that the U. S constitution was designed to perpetuate racial oppression is a core message of the left cultural revolution to rewrite history, most notably embedded in the New York Times Anti American 16 19 project. That project is now in thousands of U. S public school classrooms. And so they want. The Constitution was designed For white supremacists. And that's just not the way it is. Matter of fact, they debated slavery. Had the time of writing the Constitution. And forming this country. And there was fierce debate about it on both sides. And they decided that they have to. They couldn't decide that the the moment they have to. They have to kick the can. They'd have to put on it. But that's when Thomas Jefferson says it was slavery was like a holding a wolf by the ears. You could neither hold him nor let him go. And so they knew the inevitable was coming. There was going to be a showdown about Slavery. These didn't know it was going to tear the entire country apart. But then we do this. This is my whole thing. We did this I mean, we had the founding fathers, some own slaves. Some did not And many of the founding fathers actually at the time of the American Revolution turned their slaves. Of freedom. And nobody wants to talk about that either. But you do have one institution that we know. Was state in and formed in slavery, and that's the Democrat Party. The Democratic Party was the party of slavery was also the party of the cake. It was also the party of Jim Crow laws and why it's not been canceled. I don't understand. Everything else they cancel to cancel the statues. They cancel this. They cancel that. And they don't get around to canceling the Democrat Party, which is the Onley surviving institution from that era. Think about that for a moment. It is the only surviving institution for them. Will you see the cake? That's not, I mean, that's a fringe thing. It's not like, but I'm telling that mainstream. I mean, this is one of the two primary political parties in this country. It's very history. Is about oppression, slavery and racism. And yet it has not been canceled yet everything else that even touches it. You got anybody remotely linked is laboring. Facebook. Is removing post supporting Kyle Riton house. This is the guy Who shot three people killed two of them in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and self defense. And, of course, my friend and Coulter, writer of great columns, and not to mention resistance is futile. How the Trump hating Left has lost its collective mind joins me now and how you're on vacation, and you chose to take some of your precious vacation and Share it with me. Yes, As a matter of fact, I did. I'm not doing any other radio this week. I'm off Twitter, although that's not That's not violent, sort of voluntary. I was as I emailed to you for a tweet that said something positive about Kyle Riton house. The man who engaged in what it seems clearly to be self defence in Kenosha, Um, Twitter of low they are quick. They suspended written houses attorney. They suspended me. They suspended Mark dice just for posting a video of Rittenhouse helping some protesters earlier in the in the evening before they Hoon started chasing him down and even on the New York Times account, trying to kill him. So anyway, what Twitter does is a million left this report your tweet, which was funny and excellent on intensity, A Web a fan Twitter feed had tweeted. I want Kyle Riton house of my bodyguard and I reach way to treat He tweeted back. I want him as my president. Um so that was the offensive tweet and Twitter sent me notice which I think I forwarded to you saying, Well, we got a complaint. We reviewed this tweet and we see that it violates no policies or German law. Therefore, we're not doing anything but they suspended me. Unless I agreed to delete between and I could appeal it. You wanted to haven't deleted the tweet, but I still can't get on Twitter. And the only way I could get back on Twitter is if I drop my appeal Goodyear among vacation to speak anyway, Let's see how long this takes. But I guess I could gather. I could end my suspension at any time. I do think it's pretty outrageous that I mean, obviously doesn't violate their Twitter policies because they themselves rule that it doesn't violate their Twitter policies. But oh my gosh, is the media quick to censor any positive information. Any positive statement about Kyle Riton house as I write my column this week. Um, there's such fake phony fraud. You have. First of all the leftist your antifa rioting in the whitest Cities Invitation. You know they act like they're acting on behalf of their black brethren. But they're a little scared of being around large groups of black people. I don't see and people going to Ferguson or Baltimore or Chicago? No, Let's go riot in the white estate in the in the union where will weaken, you know, cause mayhem get arrested and that immediately be released. On gone top of that. I mean, how is the media Determining here on a weekend when when there were more than 50 people shot in Chicago, 10 of them killed. You don't hear anything about that. That was all black people, right? The media's thought on that. But in the end, the Kyle Riton House case the shot killing, killing two people and wounding another getting hit in the arm. As I'm sure your listeners now all all not only all all criminals with some pretty impressive convictions racked up, including child molestation, repeat domestic abuse, one for illegally using a firearm and he was pointing a firearm or underneath. He's pointing But threatening Kyle written houses with a firearm. Um one other thing I noticed about all of them is that they're all white. So the media can't use a usual abacus in figuring out who the good guy and who's the bad guy they can't look. I mean, obviously, they're not going to consider irrelevant factors like Um, did he have reason to fear for his life? Did he call Rittenhouse having opportunity to escape? No, they're they're analysis is who was black, who was light? Who's a Trump supporter Who's antifa on Dzhokhar Riton house has to be made into Adolf Hitler, which they're having a lot of trouble with. Can't quite can't pull it off. He was defamed and Oh, my gosh, I'm so by the way, I would use his lawyer. Yeah, Linwood is his lawyer who won the case for Ah, Nick Sandman, Nicholas salmon from coming in Catholic and you point out that I Anna Presley and Chris Murphy, senator and rep are not immunized in their comments on Twitter that he's a white supremist and white nationalist. If they're defaming a kid, and you know there may be a great defamation case there because they're not protected by the usual protection they'd have in the well of the Senate or the floor of the house, right? Yes, And I don't know. What do you think Gloria would it wouldn't hurt your possibility for employment us better identified you as a white nationalist would impinge on your life, I guess pretty darn good case. And especially, this isn't just some random man to get on Twitter and the United States representative of the United States, Senator I think it's a beautiful defamation case on before we get to the end of it. You get the most important part of my column what I lead with this week and that is in all of these cases. Recently, for example, George Floyd and now Jacob Blake, and there was the one these shooting Rashad. I forget his last name was, um, you know they're videos and in all these cases It is massive, violent resistance to arrest while we're simultaneously reading. We've been reading for decades about the horrible imposition on black people that they have to have what they call the talk The talk the talk with their young black sons to teach them now you will you do what a policeman says. Don't argue, even if he is wrong, do not make any quick movements. Hands where they can see him. Don't reach for your driver's license. Without saying I will be reaching in my back pocket for your driving thing, You know, Unlike white people who are constantly, you know, getting in fights with cops in there, So I'm thinking on the basis of the video there At least some black man in America might be they refresher course on the talk. Well in in and what its upright. You know, I've got a couple of adults step Children, but back when they were teenagers. I had the talk because I said to them, you may get pulled over by the police someday. And if they tell you to get out of the car, you know, get out of the car if they tell you to lay down on the pavement. Ah, and you decide to fight with them. The cop may be wrong, and if he's wrong or she's wrong, I'm glad to be fit for you The next day. They're probably right is what I told them. But if you think they're wrong, lay down on the pavement, and I don't want to hear it. Your brand new pair of blue jeans, your brand new shirt, and you're laying down on the wet pavement. Too bad do it, And then if there's a problem, we'll be fit later. We've all had that talk, so it's not just something that's exclusively for black parents. No, I know I've always found it Hilarious. I am a law abiding white girl from New Canaan, Connecticut. I think I've been stopped by cops. Not very often. I don't. I'm not a very good driver, so I don't drive much. Luckily, an awful lot of time in New York and places where there's uber. In any event when I've been thought for, you know, a broken tail light or something. Oh, my God. My heart is beating out of my chest. I'm terrified The idea that that that that I would disregard a cop command fight with him. Ignore him Walk around. I mean, the Jacob Blake Video is one of the most hilarious ones. This idea that he can play surprised with the cops do this, like cool walk around the car, and he's holding a knife and has just been fighting But God. Just casually reaching into the car without saying a word. So you can't play surprised with the cops could be a gun could be a birthday cake. We'll have to see Officer know we're gonna film it for God. By the way before you go. You know, occasionally throw things at you know, Joe Biden did today He there was a man murdered last Saturday night shot down in cold blood was not in a confrontation was in on the riot, and Joe Biden blamed The dead man for inciting his own murder, and I find this outrageous. I know that.

"They tell you. Not indicative. Venice is out. Ray GIs. This is in fact, what is happening? All right here they are trying to push Trump. To condemn conservative protesters now. Oh, this is the game. You want to play 16 somewhat. Your supporters had large numbers of people that were supporters. But that was a peaceful protest and paint is not and paint you as a defensive mechanism. Paint is not bullets. Use your supporters and they are your supporters, indeed a shot a young gentleman who and killed him. Not with paint with a bullet, and I think it's disgraceful. These people, they protested peacefully. They went and very peacefully and I'll tell you what they're protesting, protesting when they turn on television or read whatever they may be reading, and they see a city like Chicago, where 78 people were shot and 13 died. For a city like New York with the crime rate has gone through the roof for a city like Portland, where the entire city is ablaze all the time, and the mayor says We don't want to help from the federal government. When these people turn that on, and they see that they say this is not our country. This is not our country. What was a peaceful protest? Totally. I like how the president Just goes right back. At them with the nonsense. They're trying now. Oh, yes. You're the problem here, folks or the Trump supporters really? No. One No one. No one who's honest and intelligent can believe that. Come on. The Democrat movement couldn't be more clear. It's obvious They've been actually in your faces. Who is who's going out? Toppling monuments Who wants to destroy Christopher Columbus Statues, Gandhi statues? Who wants to Scream in people's faces while they're in outdoor dining because, God forbid, we're allowed to eat indoors ever again about you know how they needed to stand in solidarity with black lives matter. It's all we all know it's all Democrats. They want to focus on the Trump supporters here is the president when asked specifically about Kyle Rittenhouse 17. And the actions of vigilantes like Kyle Riton house looking at all of it. That was an interesting situation. You saw the same tape on DH hey, was trying to get away from them. I guess it looks like he fell, and then they very violently attacked him. And it was something that we're looking at right now, and it's under investigation. But I guess he was in very big trouble. He would have been probably would've been killed. It's under its under investigation is under investigation, but From what he saw in the video is telling. You kind of look like the guy was defending himself, which it certainly does. But I think everyone needs to remember that as far as the Democrats are concerned. It doesn't matter if someone's attacking you. If you're a trump supporter, you deserve to be attacked. What they believe. You're a trump supporter. You deserved to be attacked. You deserve what you get. And we're not going to allow you to even defend your never mind. Have a state defend you and protect you. No, no, no. It's not how the left plays the game, folks. They're dishonest, but they do play for keeps right home with Sean Hannity weekdays afternoons from 3 to 6 on talk.

Wisconsin Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes: Trump Will Use Every Opportunity To Divide People

"And I'm Mary Louise Kelly in Washington today, the governor and lieutenant governor of Wisconsin now President Trump to stay away from their state. So did the mayor of Kenosha, Wisconsin, who says the city needs time to heal, But the president showed up anyway. Trump's trip comes after days of unrest following the police shooting of a black man, Jacob Blake that left him hospitalized. It also comes after a white 17 year old Kyle Riton house with charged with six criminal counts, including first degree intentional homicide. Wisconsin Lieutenant Governor Mandela. Barnes, a Democrat, joins us now Welcome to the program. Thank you for having me today. We're glad to have you. Governor Tony either sent a letter asking President Trump not to visit Kenosha. You've called for him to stay away as well. Do you see any potential benefit to having him? There may be a chance to meet and talk to him in a productive way. No, I do not because if a real leader would have proven that already, he would have given words Tio help console the people of this community of people of this state and the people of this nation because what happened in Kenosha? It's something that happens all too often in this country, and the president has offered no sort of resolve. You can look at the president's invective. You can look at the RNC, which tried to capitalize all such situations, which tried to politicize People who are crying out who are stepping up marching and demanding racial justice. And Donald Trump doesn't want to hear that He is going to use every opportunity that he can to divide the people of this state. A CZ. This is a critical state for his re election, and it's unfortunate because You know, these are realize that we're talking about Governor Evers called for a special session of the Legislature on Monday to address police reform. But Republicans didn't show up and that session lasted 30 seconds. To get any legislation through. You need Republican support. Do you have a plan for how to do that? Well, eyes unfortunate that you know, we could ask. What's our plan? When the Legislature and the Republicans in the Legislature don't get asked why they continue to ignore people, it took them forever to respond. A covert 19. They haven't responded to the health care crisis. They haven't responded to the dairy crisis that our family farmers are dealing with in this country. They haven't responded to gun violence prevention. They have responded to the client. Crisis, Every issue they continue to fail and ignore the people of this state. Kenosha is the latest city to deal with protests and sometimes counter protests that have turned violent governor ever sent in the national Guard as the protests were heating up, and some protesters said that having the guards there made unrest worse. Do you think the governor made the right decision by sending in the guards? So the governor sent in the guard's ate with controlling fires that were set. You know, this is all in the interest of safety because fires can get out of control. Fire touches the wrong thing. You have explosions that you can potentially have more loss of life. That was the purpose of the National Guard. I think what protesters were experiencing Was a heightened response from from law enforcement and the press conference that happened shortly after the young man who traveled to Wisconsin from Illinois to kill two people in our streets. The response was well, maybe if people weren't out past curfew, ignoring the fact that you're the shooter was also out past curfew. So to assign blame to that the victims that shows where we are in in terms of thought with some of the local law enforcement that's on the ground, and this is the reforming accountability that we're talking about. Whatever the reason, the guard was there, even if it was just to try to put out or prevent fires. It ends up being a law enforcement presence, the presence of authorities and this is the dilemma. I think for city and state leaders, how do you control what could become violent unrest? Without making people feel that the feds were storming in or with a guard is storming in. That's a really hard dilemma. Have you figured out the right balance of that? Is something that is a learning process. If I'm going to be completely honest, and and I I always I always promoted the fact that law enforcement should continuously Work to deescalate situations. Whether it is a or a personal interaction like the one with Jacob Blake and the three officers or whether we're talking larger scale events like protests and demonstrations. I think that you often see peaceful protest turned the other way when there is a heightened presence of what is perceived as authorities. So yeah, I do think there is there is a there is a problem. Because when people are protesting police, you know aggression with police overly aggressive police. The response cannot be over overly aggressive law enforcement. How to deal with violent unrest is becoming a major issue in the presidential campaign, and many Democrats who do not support President Trump worry that violent unrest helps him. That it lets him say the Democrats are weak on crime. What's your level of concern that you may be inadvertently helping President Trump's reelection efforts in that way? You know, I think that it's important for people to realize that again. The people who were killed. In Kenosha, where protesters they were killed by people who felt that they had a responsibility to help things to help matters to assist Now, like you mention Law enforcement are air National guards are there. They didn't eat health. Yet. These people are free to just walk the streets with long rifles, intimidating people. I think that is the important thing that people need to realize. Andi. I hope that folks to understand that Republicans continue to enable this sort of behavior this sort of behavior. That actually leads people did That's Wisconsin Lieutenant Governor Mandela. Barnes. Thank you for coming on the program. Thank you.

Trump says Kenosha trip could increase 'enthusiasm' amid concerns it will stir tensions

"President Trump is off to Kenosha, Wisconsin. Today we got a preview from CBS News. White House correspondent Stephen Portnoy. President Trump says he doesn't believe his trip to Kenosha will increase. It also increased enthusiasm. And it could increase love and respect for our country. Mr. Trump, who says he'll meet with law enforcement, but not the family of Jacob Blake offered a defensive Kyle Riton house, the 17 year old accused of killing two men in Kenosha with a semiautomatic rifle. I guess he was in very big trouble he would have been, I probably would have been killed, but it's under its under investigation. Meantime, Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden blames the president for rioting, saying he's stoking violence in our cities. CNN. Washington correspondent Ryan Nobles told us this morning that while Biden's response is a part of his campaign strategy, it also serves as a reminder of how the president has responded to the protests and the point that Joe Biden made yesterday's and all these problems are happening under Presidents Watch in, while President Trump is trying to create this dystopian gloom and doom picture of what could happen If Joe Biden were elected, Biden is reminding voters that President Trump is currently the president, and that's what's happening right now. So Biden tryingto make sure that he is clear that he's on the side of the social justice protesters. But he also agrees that the violence is a bridge too far and that there needs to be some sort of calm brought too many of these cities. Biden condemned the violence, saying rioting and looting is not protest Ng it's lawlessness.

Trump Defends Kenosha Shooting Suspect

"That was an interesting situation. You saw the same tape and he was trying to get away from them. I guess it looks like and he fell and then they very violently attacked him. And it was something that we're looking at right now, and it's under investigation, but I guess he was a very big trouble. He would have been probably would've been killed. It's under it's under investigation. Great Odin's raven, can you believe The president of the United States is defending 17 year old Kyle Riton house. He hasn't said a nice thing yet about Mr Blake. That's how the media is playing the story in Wisconsin. Here's the shocking headline here on this morning President Trump on Kyle Rittenhouse. Trump appears to back claim that suspected team gunman Acted in self defense rips left wing political violence. That's a Fox news headline. Now why are they all shocked? Because the media wants you to believe that Kyle Rittenhouse was some out of control crazed teenager. Running around on the streets and in Kenosha, Wisconsin, willy nilly looking for somebody to shoot. That was not the case at all. And I was wrong. About a post. I put up the other day about him that he didn't have a right to have the weapon, his attorney says. That's not the case. His attorney was on was on with Fox. With with Tucker last night. And he said that this was clearly a case of self defense. Listen. This is 100% self defense. Tucker Kyle. He's a good kid. He's a lifeguard. Kenosha was burning down. Actually, when he got done with work that day, hey, went to the high school with some friends to try to remove some graffiti. After that, they got a call from a local business person who owns three businesses in downtown Kenosha. Two of those three businesses have been burned to the ground in this business owner I simply wanted Teo desperately protect what was left of his life's work, So we asked for help. So, So that's that's bite number one. The second question for me, Wass. Was the gun legal. My thought was he's 17 years old. He lived in Illinois. He was in Wisconsin. He was carrying an air style rifle. If he transported the gun across state lines. That's a problem. So Tucker asked him that question last night that, by the way, was John Pierce, the attorney for Kyle Riton House. This was John Pierce's answer to that probing question. Listen, I have read that he brought a firearm as juvenile 17 across state lines. Lot of people that's incorrect. Tell us where the gun is incorrect that that is incorrect. That firearm never crossed state lines. That is a legal firearm in the state of Wisconsin. Wisconsin is an open carry state that charges incorrect. As a matter of state law, a 17 year old, he was legally entitled to have that firearm in his possession. Moreover, we're going to be arguing that the Second Amendment And Title 10 section 2 46 of nine States code renders that charge in any ordinance that that charge would be based on blatantly unconstitutional under these circum So It kind of puts a different light on it. I Here's what I think. My 17 year old tells me he's going to downtown ST Louis because there's a riot going on down there and he wants to go protect buildings. I'm locking him in his room. I don't think the kids I don't think the kid had any business going up there. Into the chaos of a riot where he had no, I your head has to be on a swivel. If you're going to carry a weapon in the situation like that, you need to be trained. But the failure here is on the officials in Kenosha, Wisconsin, the governor, the mayor, who who so let that situation get out of control that Citizens felt like they needed to take to the streets to defend businesses. Right back up. Don't ask a stupid question because I'm lost by the whole, the businessman calling 17 year olds to protect their building. That was my first question runs engineered. Apparently, the kid knew a lot of people and spend a lot of time in Kenosha and was up there helping remove Graffiti from a building when they get a phone call from business. There's wanting 17 year olds with guns to protect them. I don't know if they were all 17 years, people that called this kid to begin with an excellent question, and I think that all those air legitimate questions. But at the end of the day What? What you saw in the video was someone who was about to get his head bashed in with a skateboard and the second person that he shot Had a handgun pointed at him when he turned his rifle around and shot him. This is not some clear cut case where he murdered two people in cold blood. And yet the officials in Wisconsin have charged him with two counts of first degree murder. On assault for the third person that got wounded. And yet, the guy who got shot who had the gun in his hand, who is a convicted criminal? Has not been charged with anything yet. The guy that tried to bash him over the head with the skateboard has not been charged with anything yet.

Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes comments on Jacob Blake shooting

"Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes, commenting yesterday on what should and should not be investigated between the Jacob Lake Police involved shooting and the Kyle Rittenhouse case. The shooting and killing of Two rioters. Injuring of another guy's investigation is ongoing. But we don't need an investigation and know that Blake shooting falls in a long and painful pattern of violence, and this is a pattern of violence that happens against black lives too often. Across this country. And as you all know, we saw even more gun violence unfold on Tuesday night when two protesters were tragically killed in one other injured by gunshots. Someone that wasn't looking to keep peace. An outside agitator. Someone who came in from Illinois with a long rifle was able to just walk the streets freely like that something normal that we just come to expect me till you have not anything normal. We shouldn't come to expect that We shouldn't accept it. Because what do you think is going to happen if you haven't agitated man with a long walking down the street? Thinking that he's some sort of peacekeeper, and that kind of behavior shouldn't be enabled, either, And we have to deal with the devastating results of that way. Saw that happen in Louisville already. We saw it happen in Charlottesville. Somebody ran their vehicle to protesters ahead there. Higher was killed now. Kenosha, Wisconsin is also home to that sort of tragic scene. We have to Not ever want to see that happen again. Hey, Lieutenant Governor Barnes. What about in Seattle? Where Ah, Two people were murdered inside the Chazz Chop Autonomous. Own father of 19 Year old was murdered. Just filed a $3 billion lawsuit against the city. What about the violence there? What about Violence against police officers, including committed by Jacob Blake, resisting arrest prior to him being shot. Is that something that's relevant the number of times that Jacob Lake had to comply with police officers before it escalated to the shooting. And while we're manufacturing characterizations of Kyle Riton house, what about the actual records of not only the writers who were killed A convicted sex offender who was according to New York Times reporting, charging Riton house a somebody who was convicted of unlawful use of a weapon and in time public intoxication, who was shot and wounded. The other individual also The other individual killed. The other writer killed also criminal record. Should we talk about Jacob Lakes from El Record and what he was doing at his ex girlfriend's house in the first place? If you want to provide context in the conversation, fine, let's do it across the board and let's separate what we actually know. Versus what the left is hoping is true. Hoping something is true versus what you actually know, are two different things. What's the evidentially standard for making determinations about prosecution's about judgment calls? "And, according to the Washington Post, and some Democrats run organizations, he has no affiliation with any militia group. No affiliation with any so called white supremacist group is a 17 year old, who was a police cadets back in his hometown in Illinois, looked like he wanted to grow up to be in law enforcement thought he could get out the street. He's a teenager who's got a teenager brain. He's got an adult firearm. He's out there in the street. It looks like it's illegal for him under the age of 18 to be carrying openly in in Wisconsin, Open carriers for 18 year olds So he's got that problem. There was this individual. We just play the hard to hear audio. Joseph Rosenbaum was his name. He was shot and killed a night before last. By Kyle Riton House and Joseph Rosenbaum. 30 was 36 years old. And he was the first one to be killed. If you've been following the situation closely, there's video that shows the person we now know to be Joseph Rosenbaum 36 years old. Chasing the 17 year old Kyle Riton house in a in a furious high speed in both kind of chase into a car lot and The Joseph Rosenbaum 36 years old is throwing something he appears to be throwing something heavy at Kyle Rittenhouse has he's running away written was clearly trying to get away. All right now is clearly look. Linwood Linwood, the great attorney for Covington, Catholic and Nick Sandman. Tweeted out last night or this morning that he is volunteering pro Bono his assistance to Kyle Riton house. If there's anything that he can do as a lawyer to help out the 17 year old Riton house, maybe he looked at the videos, too. Now we have this guy Joseph Rosenbaum 36 years old chasing the 17 year old Cal right now is kill. Rittenhouse has a rifle. Thie individual. Joseph Rosenbaum has been behaving and I watched the video and I was very disturbed by this individual in his behavior, which seemed unbalanced. His behavior seemed on. He's seemed unbalanced and dangerous. He's him dangerously violent. He is white is an Anglo European Caucasian, Joseph Rosenbaum. He may be Jewish and laced his father's side of the family. Anyway. He's out there screaming at people yelling the n word at white people. He's a white person. He's yelling and screaming and demanding. Shoot me and word. Shoot me! On the moments later, In fact, there was AH Chase and suddenly he's chasing and we don't know exactly how many minutes later, but he's chasing the 17 year old cow right now. And Karen is the running like hell. I mean, like running to try to get away from this crazy person who's chasing him, and the crazy person who's chasing him should have taken into account. That he's terrorizing a person with an ar 15 rifle. And when they got into this looked like a car. Lot of some kind. Maybe a used car lot you can hear from the video that shots were fired. And the person we now know to be Joseph Rosenbaum goes down, all right. And it turns out he was shot in the head. Another person there, friend, apparently of Joseph Rosenbaum peels off his T shirt and tries to wrap his head and T shirt and tries to stop the Now here's the reality. The guy with the rifle eyes in violation because he's not 18 years old is being chased by a 36 year old man who is hurling things at him and obviously violently pursuing the 17 year old who is armed. He doesn't know the guy's name, presumably and and then shots were fired. And Joseph Rosenbaum we now know was shot in the head and he was killed. And that's ah, horrible and terrible thing. Now, Andy know who does more journalism than CNN and The New York Times combined, and they disparage him for it has a Twitter account and Joseph Rosenbaum 36 was the first one killed. Video allegedly shows him chasing teen shooter and throwing something at him. Yes, that's what we believe to be The case based on the reviews of the videos, Rosenbaum is a register cuse me was a registered sex offender. For a sex crime involving a minor. Now These are the heroes of the martyrs and the victims of the revolution. Andi no pulled the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, Sex Offender registry and sure enough There he is. The photo taken in 17 2005, ft. £365 hazel eyes and redder auburn hair body shaves his head and he is a registered sex offender. And in the Wisconsin registered sex offender registry. I guess they called And so he's here we go again and and he's the one screaming and using the N word and screaming, Shoot me and shoot me and being extremely confrontational and extremely aggressive. With a group of men who were standing there with rifles. Sometime later, he's chasing the 17 year old. He got shot. And killed. That's terrible. I guess. Maybe he should take lithium or something, because that could be a problem. And it turned out to be a problem. Then the then then there was the chase. A mob started chasing Ah Kyle Riton house. And that's the video that most people have seen down the middle of the street and cow Riton house and looking at the video. I think he may have actually tripped and stumbled and fallen down. But when he did there are people grown men sprinting at him right behind him. Including one man who jumps and does like a Bruce Lee's dive styles flying kick into the 17 year old with a rifle. And then another guy who we now know to be. Andy Huber and the Huber was shot and killed in Kenosha, Wisconsin, during the Black lives matter riot and you know is right. He was filmed. There's video of him chasing down the armed teenager and hitting him when he was on the ground using his state board, you see, using his skateboard to hit him. The attendant skateboard. If you you know, work on hitting stuff with it is a pretty mighty weapon. It Sze like a bat with a sharp edge, and a lot of these guys use their skateboards as weapons to hit people. We've seen a lot of this. It's a sturdy weapon. And this is this is pretty bizarre stuff. But Andy Huber 26 years old. Turns out he's got what he's got his the father of a child with a girlfriend, not a wife. Andi chasing them down. He hits him with a skateboard, and it's kind of like, never bring a skateboard to a gun fight. You know, there's the old saying, Never bring a knife to a gunfight. Never bring his skateboard to a gun fight. There's 26 year old man is chasing the 17 year old. And he reaches him when that when the 17 year old falls down, and he attacked him with a skateboard holds it like he's trained with it, and he attacks with skateboard, and then he got shot. He got shot in the chest. And he is him going away and falling over and he died. He was killed. Now. Here's the thing. The 17 year old with the rifle in violation of the 18 year threshold. I was being chased by a violent mob of rioters and assaulted. And and the Second Amendment actually provides that in the United States America human being has the God given right to protect himself from violent assault. The left doesn't believe this..

"Portia Bennett, a 31 year old lifelong resident of Kenosha, who told me that she knew the two people who were killed in the third, who was seriously wounded in those shootings Tuesday night. She says they were regulars at these daily protests, and I'm going to get to that in a minute. But I want to get an update from you, David on what we know about the investigation. Into Jacob Blakes shooting by police. Yeah, so that's like the Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Call released more details about the incident. He announced that the name of the officer who shot take a Blake is Rustin Chesky. He's been on the Kenosha Police force for seven years. And the attorney general says that the officers were responding to a domestic call. Andre tried to arrest Blake. They don't exactly say why. But they first tried to use a Taser on Blake, but it failed to subdue him. As Blake walked around the vehicle and open the driver's side of the door. He reached down and that's when officers Chesky first tried to pull him back up by his shirt and then fired seven times into his back Now. Investigators later recovered a knife from the dirt private side floorboard of the vehicle. So they say, But they did not say if the police officers on the scene knew that that pipe was there and we should just remind people. Blake was not killed, but he is still in very serious condition. So that was the shooting that precipitated Then all of these protests and as we've been talking about a 17 year old has been arrested for shooting and killing. Allegedly two of those protesters. Dan, You have been looking into this. What have you learned about that Suspected gunman. Yeah, We're talking about Kyle Riton House and is very young as you said 17 years old, weighed all of about £150 and lived with his mother just across the state line in northern Illinois in the northern suburbs of Chicago from his social media. We know that the suspect Kyle Riton House. Love three things You wanted Donald Trump to get re elected this year. Hey, posted a lot of pictures of himself with guns, and he was also a fervent supporter of blue lives matter of the police. And he had actually been a cadet in a suburban police department just outside Chicago when he was a teenager, and he would dress up in some of these photos in full police regalia, Ty The trooper had bomber jacket, so he was very, very much on admirers of law enforcement. We know at this point what he was doing in Kenosha and why he was at the protest. So looks like he went north of the state line to Kenosha earlier this week because he thought he was what he called quote local militia. There's video of him out there acting almost exist. He is law enforcement himself. So he's administering vigilante justice, where at least vigilante protection of businesses So there had been looting earlier in the week and their number of militia groups in that part of Wisconsin who organized Even on Facebook. We don't know if Kyle Rittenhouse was affiliated with those groups, but he certainly saw himself as someone who is out there, protecting business and working with the very law enforcement. That he had so idolized throughout his childhood. There are these videos circulating graphic videos describing these capturing rather the moments around these fatal shootings of the protesters. What do they tell us about what happened? Absolutely horrific scenes were recorded by a number of people late Tuesday into early Wednesday. What happened was there had been a protest, they were asked to disperse from the area around the courthouse. In Kenosha and then a short distance away. There were confrontations between Kyle Rittenhouse, this self appointed member of the local militia, as he put it, and some of the demonstrators, one of them is shot at close range in a video. He has a head wound. And it seems that he succumbed to those wounds and was one of two victims than Kyle Rittenhouse has seen in these videos running down the street being pursued by people who are yelling that he had just shot someone, and he shot two of his pursuers at close range, and one of them died right after that. We see Kyle Riton house, with the police going right past and people are saying that he was the shooter, and yet he is not apprehended until the next day in Illinois, and he's in custody in Illinois awaiting extradition.
