"And Derek lively who logged ten minutes in this game were on the bench. Jalen Blake's was on the floor. Rotting young was on the floor. You know, tyrese proctor didn't have a good game, expected to be on the floor Jerry, which of course, in Philip, who is the best player so far. They are having issues offensively right now to the point where filipowski is the dude, but they don't have the guy just yet. They are winning because they are incredible at offensive rebounding. They have the number one O rebound rate in the country, 46.5%. I think I want to say Ryan young had 8 offensive boards in that Oregon state game. So we're going to pick this as well. Duke Xavier, and I'll get to save yours one in the second here. But your quick thoughts on duke and what they were able to avoid. I mean, a loss would have been, that would have been rough. But the game was rough in general, but I actually thought duke's offensive stuff was a little. They just, I don't know, they're good. But I'm not seeing like killer stuff in them quite just yet. Well, if you, this is always pretty easy for me when you have teams built like this and these types of things happen early in the season. There was a team last season. I can not remember who it was off the top of my head. I didn't expect to bring them up or else I would know it. But they were ranked really high in the preseason and then they struggled. And people would say, so why are they struggling? I was like, well, the reason they were ranked so high in the preseason is because they had two 5 star guys coming in and neither one of them are playing like a 5 star guy. They're both playing like, oh, this was a few years ago. Maybe it was probably like 5 years ago, I guess. But it was a Florida. And they had enrolled some 5 star guys and neither one of them were playing the way 5 star freshmen typically play. And it was like, if you're trying to figure out why Florida is not as good as it's supposed to be, it's because the reason people thought it would be really good is because of these 5 star freshmen and they're just not performing. And that's more or less. At least one of the things going on with duke right now. Philip haski has been terrific, but the reason duke was 7th in the preseason AP poll is because they enrolled according to 24/7 sports, three of the top four freshmen in the country. Kyle Phillips, Derek Whitehead, Derek lively. And through 5 games and Whitehead missed two of them. And. Derek lively missed part of the pre season with an injury. So there's a possible explanation for this. They both miss pre season time. But Whitehead and lively, through 5 games, give them basically nothing. I mean, lively, he never did in 3.4 points 2.8 rebounds in 16.6 minutes per game. He is, that is not the way anybody thought he would open his college career. So if you take duke and just say, okay, they bring back Jeremy roach, cow filipowski is going to be good. But Whitehead's going to give him nothing lively is going to give him nothing. You'd say, well, they're not going to be, that maybe they'll be good, but they're not going to be great. If you can't get good stuff, great stuff from Whitehead and lively, there's a limit on what this duke team can be. And right now, again, it's early. So far, those guys have been, again, possibly for explainable reasons, but those guys have been ineffective. And you look across the country, this freshman class, broadly speaking, I think has been pretty impressive. Nick Smith hasn't played yet. Lively hasn't done much. White House hasn't done much, but Brandon Miller at Alabama has been terrific Anthony black at Arkansas has been terrific. Kante George has been really good at Baylor Grady dick has been excellent at Kansas. You know, there's some freshmen who have been really, really good. But the duke freshman, outside of phillipa, not so much. Agreed. I'm waiting to see if either today here on Friday or on Sunday, tyrese

"It was duke's fewest points in a game in over a decade. Jared burson had a great stat. Did you see did you see the stat? Love Jared birth and I don't think I saw this. Dude, this is outrageous. So first of all, Oregon state, they missed a one on one near the end and it might have maybe a flips the result of the game, but it goes awry on the front end. And duke manages to hold on in the final minute there. Here's what this person sat. Duke's 54 points today against Oregon state where it's fewest in a win since November 28th, 2006, also 54 51 against Indiana. Freshman John Shire shot two from ten in that game it was duke's second lady who over ten points. So they had not scored that few points in a win since Shire was literally playing and had basically just gotten a campus there from a percentage standpoint they shot 26.7% from the field and it was their worst in well over a decade shooting wise. Now credit to Oregon state, they run this combo of literally on the same possessions zone to man to zone. It's this Oregon state is a they were terrible last season. But a lot of the general principles of what Wayne tinkle runs, they are just, they're frustrating. They're sometimes I had to coach tell me sometimes they can be, they can bore you to death with how they play how they want to grind out the tempo and duke got flummoxed by the zone. Now I asked Shire after if he thought that he'd see a lot of zone in this. He said yes. But at the same time, he said, I didn't prepare my guys well enough for that. They were able to overcome it. And I did write this in the notebook. Fours concerning UNC was on the defensive end. Duke's offensive issues. I actually thought were more stark. Kyle Phillips was again duke's best player. He had 19 points, the only other player to get in double figures was Ryan young, who has managed to become borderline vital for duke to this point in the season and that is not something that people saw coming the transfer from northwestern who's 6 ten, you know, he plays below the rim, but a really good passer and just does so many little things and not so little things to keep duke competitive. Notable in this game and concerning is that, you know, I know Derek Roy head's coming off injury. So he's still getting back into his groove. He played 17 minutes in this game, but GP for the majority of the final 7, 8 minutes of the game, Whitehead, and Derek lively who logged ten minutes in this game were on the bench. Jalen Blake's was on the floor. Rotting young was on the floor. You know, tyrese proctor didn't have a good game, expected to be on the floor Jerry, which of course, in Philip, who is the best player so far. They are having issues offensively right now

"Montgomery potential injury didn't practice today on Thursday. It's such good bait because Khalil Herbert has backup has been just as good in like goal line. Short yardage, third down, early down, just everything. They're running the ball extremely well. And the Giants can not stop the run. When the Giants get into passing downs, they blitz, and when fields sees a bless you scrambles, on almost 25% of the blitz is he's seen this year. He is scrambled, which is better than when he tries to throw in. So it's good news. It's awesome that the Giants are just going to spend 5 guys 6 guys 7 guys to get fields to do what he was going to do anyway. Just get out of the pocket scramble, run. This is a spot where the reason you fear the bears is because you're worried about them getting in a negative game script and then having to fill the football. They've shown that they won't do that in the third quarter. They'll continue to run it, and the giant score of three points every first half. So they're not going to get game script exactly. I like the bears a lot, especially with the hook on the field goal. It feels really good. Where does Daniel Jones rank on the, we know his coach doesn't trust him at all rankings right now. It's the first is he top three, where do you have them? Fields is probably first. He's top three. I had that feeling watching that cowboys game, but it was like, this is what it would look like if bill's ownership wasn't making sure Brian Dave didn't break Josh Allen, right? It's just like, hey, run, hit somebody. Take pressure. Listen, if you get bruised out this week, we kind of don't care about it. You're not a firm plan. Like a weapon. Titans colts is another one I like. Titans plus three and a half. As I said, I don't like the colts at all. I thought they all time pulled the game out of their ass. I mean, their sideline was spirited. They were doing all the things. The sharps were behind them, but they block worse than I thought. Ryan was getting the shit kicked out of him and that chiefs game. And then the Titans, I thought played pretty well in that Vegas game. They controlled the clock, Vegas was playing catch up. They got red zone stops. And you'd think like both of these are bad things, but Indies only scored 40 points in three games. Titans plus three and a half feels like slightly more important for the Titans where they because Vegas just beat Casey lacerate they're feeling good. Titans barely escape that Vegas game. I don't know, especially with if Burke's, if he can keep coming on week after week, they're not really getting anything from the receivers yet. But this seems like another flip a coin. So why wouldn't I take the three and a half? Yeah, so the Titans are still very scary for me to trust and a lot of it goes back to me too. The chiefs had against the colts, the Titans want to run the football. The courts are the team right now to not try to run the football against, passing devot, they're terrible passing API defense. They're terrible. Rush defens are amazing. Every time you run on first and ten against the colts, you're just asking for second and ten. Please give us one less chance to get a first down. The Titans have shown, however, under variable that they will run Derek Henry into a brick wall. So that's what scares me there. What I do like in this game are the Burke's props. They've talked a lot about getting Burke's more involved. Burke's route participation has gone up in the last three weeks in enormous ways. He started with routes on 36% of Tannehill's drop backs in week one, then 57%, done like 96% in week three. He went from I have to earn my spot in this offense too with a Kyle Phillips injury, so a little bit of a caveat to I am now a starting guy in this offense. You're still seeing receiving your props of about like 37 38 and into the low 40s. With Burke's explosive ability, that's two three catches, because he's going to be using the intermediate area of the field and he can run after the catch. So this game for me is a Burke's look, the second we get those lines on FanDuel. So little Titans money line with a little Burke's action. Yeah, this feels like an either war game, so why not take the plus or enough? I forgot to ask you, can you name when we talk about the Giants? Can you name their number one and number two receivers and receiving yards right now for the Giants? Yeah, so I think shepherd was first and then Richie James was second. Made good money on Richard James against the cowboys. Richie James is another one like a trailer Burks his route participations through the roof. Every time the Giants are dropping back, he is running around. He gets priced 40 receiving yards, right? I hit four plus receptions that game at like plus one 35. If you're going to run around, sometimes the ball is just going to end up in your hands, even if you're not the scheme guy. For Richie, they run them on screens. And so if you get Richard James three plus four plus receptions, continuing to be priced around like 50%. Minus one ten plus one ten in that area.

"Well we're out week one. So not super awesome for that. Yeah, I can't put too much into week one, especially I don't know. Well, it was strange, man. As we'll see what we do our game picks, there's some big lines this week, even bigger than week one. So if we see these upsets continue, then maybe it is a trend that these teams are closer than people think. I think it is week one, you can't take too much into it or think about it too hard, but I do think this year it's more top heavy than it has been in the past or especially last year. I mean, the two teams have made it the Super Bowl last year. We're both four seats. Now that could happen again, if two teams get hot, right? But I think it's more likely that there's about 16 5 teams that, in my opinion, can make a run at it. So we'll see what happens. Rob, or Ryan, you have a third one. Yeah, so disappointed in the Titans. To go in or I'm sorry to have the Giants come to Nashville and I think there were 5 and a half point favorites and to just be up 13 nothing and a half time and give up all those points in the second half. I think it was like what 21 points in the second half. Just so disappointing and then to cap it off with a mist field goal to lose it. Kyle Phillips made a great catch on late in the game to put them in field position and it's hard to watch and you don't feel good as a Titan span this year like going into buffalo. Week two normally it feels like there's something about the Titans where they lose to bad teams and they somehow come away with wins against the really good teams that there's no way they should be like last year it was the chiefs and the bills. There's just no way it feels like they should be beating those teams and somehow they do, but this year doesn't feel like they have that magic in them. It just feels different. I'm guessing it's the AJ Brown. He's not in there to take the top off the defenses so that Henry can actually get some lanes to run. Henry didn't look good anyway. He was missing holes. I know

"Left off guys on the rams, reason for trepidation about Matthew Stafford's bulky. I love the word bulky. Bulky, I may work it in a few times in this show. I like balki from perfect strangers. Do you? Yeah, he was great. One of my favorites. Yeah, did you know we had a balky elbow? Oh, yeah. Bulky bulky elbow. For Stafford continuing to experience discomfort going back to last season. And that's why I'm worried. As if this is a 2021 injury that he still got pain in now, is it gonna be better or worse in October? Are you ready for Tommy John surgery? Let's hope that is not going to be the case. I'll also know Darryl Henderson getting a lot of first team reps and it looks like the ramps are going to try to be cautious with cam Akers here. It's possible that we're going to see some kind of a timeshare that goes into the season as well between those two. I bet Stafford has consulted good friend Clayton Kershaw. Didn't he at some point? I don't know if he did. Maybe. We don't want to talk about baseball. No. No. Let's go to something we know about. That'd be the Philadelphia Eagles, Matt. Yeah, if you check Twitter, the AJ Brown versus James Bradbury battles have been really cool to watch. But the big news, Jason Kelsey, recently had a minor elbow surgery. He's hopeful that he's ready for week one. They said he might miss a week or two though. Yeah, obviously one of the best linemen in league. Yeah, that would be a loss if he can't, he's not ready for the start of the season. Let's go to Miami, Brian. Yeah, if you're on Twitter and looking at dolphins Twitter, specifically, all signs point to them having the greatest offense ever, but basically the hype is out of control down in Miami, but the player I'll highlight here is Chase Edmonds who now looks like the clear cut RB one for the dolphins and he's going outside the top 24 running backs right now based on most ADPs so I think that's a draft day steel right now. He looks like she's going to be the starter in a very proficient offense. It might be Daniel gonna do in Miami what he ultimately did in San Francisco, which is, you know, I got a lot of running backs, but I'm going to have a workhorse back. Pick one. And if you can find that workhorse back, they're all going at a heavy discount. Sure. Well, Edmunds is the one who's getting paid like a worker who works back. My bets are on him right now. In Minnesota, Kirk Cousins has COVID. He had COVID last year, missed his only start as a Viking due to COVID. So this is a second time around, presumably this is the lightweight version and that he will be a 100% probably in a week and I think week one is in no doubt here and maybe it's all the better that he gets it out of the way now. And that's true. Even more immunity for the regular season, irv Smith had surgery on his thumb last week, tight end, he is targeting a return also around week one. Lots of praise for Kevin O'Connell's offense from nearly all members of the Vikings offense, and right now it seems like a fresh new and exciting offense for the Minnesota Vikings. Let's go to the Dallas Cowboys. Trevon Diggs quit social media. Probably because of all the camp video of him getting roasted by CD lamb and Jalen tolbert. Obviously he had a lot of interceptions last year, but he's not a great cover corner at all. So I love the most yards in the NFL. And he's covered last year. So he's sick of everybody banging on him so he quit. Let's go to the Patriots, Brian. Running back James White retired earlier in the week. So he's obviously not playing this year. Damien Harris, all of a sudden, rumored to be on the trading block, or they might trade him, so as a result, Ramon ray Stevenson has jumped Paris in ADP and just surging up draft boards right now. Yeah, I'm not totally sure where these rumors have come from, but the Vegas odds to lead the NFL in rushing touchdowns. Stevenson was 50 to one a week ago, and now he's sitting at like ten to one. Wow. So there are a lot of people and as we've often mentioned, we talk a lot about what happens inside the 5 yard line on the show, the infrared zone. Something likes to call it. No team has run more, had more running plays inside the 5 over the last 7 years than New England Patriots. And if Harris is to be traded, obviously Stevenson's huge jump in massive, massive jump up. But Pierre, strong junior, the name to keep in mind, rookie running back drafted in the fourth round by the Patriots kind of more of a pass catching specialist. He probably will play that James White role, even though reminder Stevenson is a very able pass catcher too, but yeah, stock on Stevenson just soaring right now. Let me mention a couple of things about James White. Three times Super Bowl champion only player with a Super Bowl walk off touchdown in NFL history and that was the 2017 comeback against the falcons in which he was targeted 16 times and caught 14 passes for 110 yards for James White and get this 8 seasons. He touched the ball 800 times no fumbles. Wow. That's how you get into Bill Belichick's good grace. Isn't it? Right there. It was a hell of a run for James White and congratulations on a great career. Only 30 years old, which is it's old for running back. They still stick. That's young, but yeah, he's walking away. That's for sure. For the saints, Michael Thomas ankle rehab is on track. He's practicing. He's looked great. A lot of positive reports out of training camp. It appears likely that he will be ready to start week one. His ADP also moving up quickly. Alvin Kamara's court date has been moved back to October. So it's possible the NFL will defer judgment on a possible suspension until after that court date maybe, but the NFL is not beholden to that. They don't need to do that, but it's possible that they could. We're going to talk a little bit more about where to buy Alvin Kamara later in this show. Let's go to the New York Giants, Matt. Kenny gallaudet is the talk of camp for all the wrong adjectives, slow, stiff, bad body language, zero separation, some speculated him as a possible cut candidate, but they can't cut him for two years because of the cap liabilities. But if any team came knocking in the trade market, they could have him for nothing. 7th round pick. Gettleman. 70 $1 million for Kenny gallaudet. Yeah. Just two off seasons ago. Well, wait, one off season ago. Let's go to the Tennessee Titans. Brian. Nothing but bad things being said about 18th overall pick, wide receiver treylon Burks, who has been not running with the ones. Meanwhile, rookie wide receiver Kyle Phillips, who was drafted in the 5th round, has been running with the ones, and more bad things to say about Burke's on Thursday night against the Patriots, the Titans rested their normal starters, Robert Woods, and nwi, but Burke's played Burke's also came into the game after Dez Fitzpatrick, racy mcmath in the aforementioned Kyle Phillips in just one target. Wow. I'm 30 snaps for perks on Thursday night. So stock falling right now for perks. At least in redraft right now. He's not looking like an immediate impact player. And if we're gonna talk about Thursday, we gotta talk about Malik Willis. I watched every one of his every one of his snaps. The first few throws were terrible, and it was all the bad things you'd ever seen about him, but when he got comfortable, he made some, he made some eye popping plays with his legs, but also had some really nice passes mixed in there. And you saw a player and look, it's only the first preseason game his entire career, and nobody's carving a bust in canton here. And I walked in the door, having seen the highlights from the game, and I was like, oh, I'm gonna really watch all of this to make sure I'm not just looking at the highlights. He looked pretty poised, pretty comfortable and delivered a lot of nice passes. Yeah, he's been falling too far in dynasty leagues, especially super flex leagues. He's definitely a project still. So I'm not thinking he'll have an immediate, even if something happens to Tannehill, but he should be bumped up dynasty draft boards based off Thursday night. Agreed. For the Steelers, rookie wide receiver George pickens was listed as a starter on the team's first step chart, although again, you don't know, we don't know what that really means. And Mike Tomlin has gone out to discredit the depth chart as well.

"Getting runs with his starters. He's out there crap in his pants. Actually, he's making other guys crap their pants. He's been doing one on one drills just leaving guys on the ground. This guy is so shifty so quick is routes are crisp. And I think that that's the kind of guy that Tannehill is going to love throwing to. I know treylon Burks is the big name. And you probably don't want to trade for Trey long right now. Unless you got him while all the bad news was coming out that he had asthma and he couldn't stay on the field and also if the owner still feels that way. Absolutely. That was absolutely ridiculous. The guys never played football before. I didn't understand that at all. I think Phillips is a good buy though. Tannehill had Jarvis Landry to throw to plan a similar role that potentially Kyle Phillips could play one Tannehill was in Miami. So can get Kyle Phillips like production out of or sorry, excuse me. Jarvis Landry like production out of Kyle Phillips and maybe not his rookie year, but second year. Eventually. Also. Is there a wide receiver crew that is like less sexy than the Titan screw though? We have Nick Westbrook. You could probably bring up Robert Woods too here though. We have Robert Woods. He's also an ultra by. Yeah, he's every eerie plays he's good. Also like other buys, Hassan Haskins, the running back that they draft out of Michigan. I know that he's going to be the back of the

"One of the knocks on the mock draft that I had that I would actually agree with is I didn't have a wide receiver, right? And that's just how the board played out when I was making those picks. They won't let that happen to them. That's where the leverage depicts to go up and if they see somebody like they'll go get them or move back to get capital and then use that capital. One of the things I liked about neti is talking to roger mccreary at the senior bull who's the cornerback from auburn, who I also like. And I asked him, who's the best player that you face this year? And he said, John metchie, you know, he was he was a competitor. He's a dog out there. You know, we just went at each other's throat. And he said, I said a lot of respect. And of course, that's playing at a high level of competition. And he played against Jameis Williams, right? He was on the other side of the field. So I like, he's a good solid player. He could be challenged with some physical corners given his size, but he's very competitive, great work ethic. I think he's a good pick the other. The other kind of slot guys that I like. I start to get into Wendell Robinson from Kentucky. He's got a little bit of Percy harvin to him, I think. And they'd have to use them as a weapon, not the biggest cat, but he broke over 20 tackles last year. Over a hundred catches, he's a really good player. Kyle Phillips is kind of another obvious pick. I was hoping he was flying under the radar a little bit more than I think he probably will end up getting picked. He was really dominating. And he's got the, he dominated the shrine bowl. I don't even think he played in the game, but the word out of the practice is he was just dominating..

"Garden us, you can go up, do some crazy dogs, do step throughs, he'll hit some weird threes. He's got a great body. He's going to be an even better shape when he's working out there. So I get your reasoning of he's not going outside the top ten. But if I'm the top ten, as an NBA team, I need production for the most part. I kind of need some help. If I'm a general manager, like I'm just scared for a guy who hasn't played a college game to draft him, whereas overseas guys, they play higher levels of a and B divisions, college guys, play the best of the best. G league ignite, they're playing against pros. Guys are filtering in and out if you're good enough bad enough. And sharp doesn't play. I get help outside the top ten. I don't say buyer beware, but just do your research. It's a long process. He's been this tier of talent for not that long. Everyone says he's a worker. I get the physical tools. I get the self creation. It's the type of archetype that NBA guys search for, but it's correct. It's not an exact thing. It's not exact thing where he's in and I had like 5 or 6 people texting me right. Where do you have money board? I don't know. I don't even know where to slot them in right now. So here's what I would say to that. Part of why he is so highly thought of is in regard to the scouting. He is exactly what evaluators are looking for for the NBA. He is 6 foot 6. He has long arms, he's explosive as hell, in particularly he can get to his pull up game at a very high level. I believe that I can't pull up the numbers for whatever reason because the athletic website is being a bit funky for me right now. But he I believe led peach dam and pull up scoring and did so on very high level efficiency in terms of over 40% from three. It was like 43% or something like that during the peach jam. But again, a small sample, but it shows kind of where he was, as kid wasn't playing, has a breakout season the grind session, out in Arizona, which dream city gets on the UI BL and backs up all the other stuff. So there is signs of that trajectory that he's on. And on top of that, he also finished at an elite level, like he finished at the basket in half court settings at the same level, Kyle full of he did. Who is going to duke as a 6 foot 11 center who is immensely skilled, penny knows Kyle Phillips keys, game well, having been in the Boston New England area. Right. And Kyle full of very, very gifted high school basketball center..

"And he just a below average thrower. The one area where he is actually somewhat decent is in that one read intermediate pass range off play action or the RPO concept that's basically his strength as a passer. That ten and 19 yard window off play action. The other thing I think as you mentioned, Joe moorhead's return and just kind of reading between the lines Todd and something we talked about last night off air. Do we think some of the tempo potentially returns for the duck's offense? And that's something we really haven't seen in the last two weeks. Yeah, I think it has to be a big part of it because when you watch Oregon in the game against Stanford, we can say we want about the end of game situation. That's neither here nor there with the personal falls and everything that gave the cardinal a chance to win. The best adjective I could use to describe watching them and I watch that game and it's entirely last Friday against Cal, they were disjointed. I mean, there was never consistency there in terms of when things were going well that they could start playing downhill. You could see the frustration on Anthony brown's face waiting for the calls to come in from the sidelines. And even Mario's a guy who has talked about a great link wants to impose his well physically, there were chances where cows defunct was reeling and it would still take them 25 to 30 seconds. It would allow Cal the substitute and it just didn't feel like that same Oregon offense when things are clicking as we've seen against Ohio State early this year. Joe Moore had a previous stops, where it's getting those snaps in. It's getting a defense on roller skates and being able to take advantage that you can hit with quick ruthlessness and everything else to try and really be able to make things go a lot more efficiently. So we didn't see that. I have to imagine just by default that they'll be better in that department if they're able to stream together a couple first down. Absolutely. And I think the other element of this game is you hate to be the guy. But if talking third downs, but if organs ground game isn't rolling early, it'll be interesting to see that match up on third down. UCLA has struggled defensively to get off the field. They are outside the top 80 and third and fourth down success rate. So something to monitor there. If organs struggling on early downs to pick up some yards, then UCLA probably is able to get off to feel a little bit more. If there are those short yarded situations and you have a quarterback like Anthony Brown that's multiple and you can't really have to defend both the run and pass in the third and medium third and short areas, that'll probably be an area where they were able to dominate UCLA and stay on the field for some long sustained drives. But ultimately, I just come back to not really knowing what organ is. I look at our power number and it certainly shows value on organ here. And then I dig into some of the numbers. And I'm just like, my gut is saying they're simply not as good as their power rating. And so that's kind of left me on the sidelines here. It makes a ton of sense when you try and figure out what the ducks are. We'll see if they can look a lot more like the team we thought was gonna have an inside track to the college football playoff or a team that's really struggled to put up crooked numbers. Each of the last couple weeks. Meanwhile, on the other side, when you look at this UCLA offense, the key to their success this season has been the ground game. 200 plus yards rushing in each of the last four games. They went for more than 300 and Tucson against Arizona, 237 last week in Seattle, both resulted in wins and covers. We've seen the Michigan transfers Zach sharpening along with Britain Brown provide a very formidable one two punch as the tandem is combined for more than a thousand yards and 6 yards per carry with 11 touchdowns so far today. Success rate as far as the ground game is concerned well above the national average, 41 runs of 12 plus yards and it obviously takes some of the pressure off of DTR who I'll make the case last week when I watch him against Washington. Look like he was comfortable and in full command of what they wanted to do. 87 yards rushing than 12 carries, 21 of 26 throwing the ball and keep in mind that all came without one of his top receivers and Kyle Phillips who was a DMP, but should be back and very much in the thick of things for Saturday's game against the ducks. And we heard chip Kelly really praised DTR. And he kind of hinted that him being close to a 100% now is what we are looking at health wise. I know that was a question mark we had towards the end of the Stanford game, but chip Kelly said, you know, DTR is feeling a little bit better right now. I think this is kind of appointment television, right? Chip Kelly against his old team. I don't think UCLA veers too far from what's made them really successful and that's the ground game you mentioned. But I would expect a gadget player to something that hasn't been seen on film yet. UCLA does have an offensive edge here on paper. And to me, this is, again, the struggle I have with organ is they have a couple outstanding players. But there's some holes. And the high end players like thibodeaux and you also have some solid coverage guys like Williams and McKinley and Wright. They kind of give Oregon a perception defensively that probably isn't close to the reality of the unit in its entirety. And that's what continues again to give me some struggles. But in totality, you're looking at a duck's defense that's a 106th in passing success rate. 65th, an EPA per pass allowed as well. And so I think DTR might have some success through the air a little bit here. I know he's not an overly dynamic passer, but I think he's improved enough. The accuracy is Ben better, his decision making has been better. When the old line is kept him clean, one 22 passer rating. When chip allows him to throw with play action, that is when DTR has been his best one 31 passer rating there. I've seen some strides made in at least some of the metrics I've only watched a handful of UCLA football games. I'm sure you've seen more. The other head scratching part of Oregon's defense for possibly having the number one pick in the draft at the end. Organs front 7 creates virtually no havoc. And they're not stout against the run either, which they need to be in a game like this. 84th in line yard 72nd stuff right 60th in success rate, rushing. And I think that's probably where this gets interesting. You have a UCLA team that just kind of lives and dies with the ground game, especially on early downs. They have the highest run rate on early downs and even though the entire world knows UCLA wants to run. They can still run. And it's because of that bruins O line, extremely physical. 6th in line yards created only 10% of UCLA's runs have been stuffed. And it allows UCLA to stay ahead of the down and distance. And so you look at some of the early down rushing metrics 7th in EPA per Russian early down's 22nd overall. Now you get mace fun and back for the duck's front 7..

"Let's let's go. Let's go to Lee disclaimer disclaimer disclaimer Guys put usually trying to focus on winners scattergories rule. Extra attention to you guys. You managed to get those. Those unique picks that no one else thought of fighters could already book. This keeps happening people. Please go to tap if you if you're thinking of if i know takes time go to typology and see if any fights even rumored to be built on the fighters pages all the time this keeps happening and i'm not mentioning if it's fighters and booked and you've mentioned them not mentioned other mistakes class. These guys fought already recently. someone's injured released etc and then i'll go pick. It might just be do and then we don't wanna read it so those are the rules that you go to disclaimed you've been you've been disciplined. Yeah so i'm gonna start with. This is the first one. I opened in a artie. Flabbergasted is the right word but my eyes are open. My eyes are wide ak auto. Marley kicks things off. I believe this is his first. Ever actual selection he's talked about the show and Throughout different suggestions in the past but this is his first actual like post fight matchmaking. All right welcome auto auto suggests that the young man to fund in choo kwee. Who got a win over. Mike rodriguez at very dominant win He is suggesting that tafani choo kwee. And i believe his seventh or eighth. Professional fight should take on former. Ufc light heavyweight championship challenger. Dominic radius face. I'm making the what's the emoji. It's like the kind of cringe. I'm not craig cringing. It's like a wincing wincing frowning emoji faith right now. It's alright it's describe it. I think so. I'm it's accurate my reaction yeah. It's very surprising. I will tell you. What if i told that suggestion. Akc liden he'd probably love it. Because casey everything. Yeah the quality of that pick. I kid i've auto auto casey. I respect your opinion. Very much keegan. Elliot hey mike setups rookie versus glossy next. I think after that impressive performance by armand and then he said let lionheart adventures loss. Two rackets brand nunez. Mantell jackson versus sean. O'malley if i'm sean o'malley i'm not going anywhere. Fight now he likes to chew versus clear. Roundtree this is brandon unions. By the way my apologies. That seems like a fine fight He likes buckley vs on. He likes sarokin. Versus grant dawson october since the head is injured. Now from what i understand. This is not official The plan is although i think dasa would take that fight even though super dangerous kazan's top fifteen guy from what i understand. The plan would be to try to re book dawson versus the head in like december. But that makes sense. I mean if if i think if they offered through the dasa dasa would take it. Yeah but i think the the head of booking we lot of sense because obviously that's guy who's ranked ahead of dawson so it's it's a it's a medium risk high reward fight for while this is also a medium to high risk fight lesser award. Though i guess you could derail and other guys hype train if you want to sell it that way. But if i'm dawson's team definitely the first choice ahead every booking. Yeah if i'm dawson. Seemed i get through john offer. I'm wanting a new contract first extra dollars. That's that's for sure Brennan news also suggested ryan span versus the winner of jamal hilversum recruits no issue with that he also suggests anthony smith versus racket. Or if that fight does it come to fruition year per hashaykeh. Yeah i know a lot of people wanna see anthony smith year right. I want to see this But i also feels just like they know year. He's the backup for the upcoming light heavyweight title fight so i think kind of helping he waits right in there hoping either you know god forbid something happened to glover or youngbleaux. Bits and he gets. He gets a title fight or if the fight goes through that he can still wait until he gets his own shot but yeah it it would seem strange though. I don't know how long can wait right. I mean it would be like. When did he actually fight chuck. Quick here Wasn't was february march. Was that long. He fought in may may okay so pretty far back and then when is the actual. When is the lead headway. October thirtieth october. So he's waiting talk tober and then five months like half of what he waited for his second fight shore and then he has to wait but they have to wait again. Yeah whatever happens with that fight. Right i i. It's it's a lot of waiting a lot like i said he's. He's used to waiting. I think now he's at. The point is career where he wants to pick fights and wait and just take the big fights at a lot of waiting. So i don't think it's crazy to to to pick him versus smith but Yeah i think the number one choice is if he can wait he should wait. And then he suggests you kucherov blamed. Listen i like william milan. i like the man. He's in new england. There is a great interview once he opens up. He's got a crazy story but we can't do this he just he. Can't he just knocked off. Fabio charente like in. You're going give them one coots alaba. Come on. Come on yeah. It's not time wonky though. It's wonky owen. Carol he's is a lot of picks air some good ones hannah goldie versus genome johnny carson harris versus jeremiah. Wells good grief. That's crazy fight aaron blanchfield. He's throwing a right into the fire. Gets jar eubanks trained together train together though hens gracie i think they trained. Yeah i think they're both If they're both if they're both hands. Yeah they might be easy also manhattan. Mantell jackson kyle phillips. That's fun Zoo wrong verses. Luis pena raquel pennington versus caitlyn. Vieira if she wins. I'm having trouble matchmaking. For her and she versus came her on the. I don't know. I think so is he. Did he won his last fight. I think also suggestion. I'm pretty sure he won his last fight. You look at Buckley versus muradov. That's a tough fight man maintenance versus kenny. I liked that one through gamblers know kmart kmart came real. Lost a split not to Nigga mary auto. Yeah i don't know. I don't even know if he's still on the roster i think he i think he might have been one of the released fighters main versus kenny. Fine sarokin versus hooker. Nazar winter or hooker. Hooker can't fight next week. Lipsky verses miranda maverick. I think it's a little too high kusaba versus span and we'll end with that John ray says reminding to not disrespect lionheart. I think that's a message for everybody right now. Especially especially me yes. He likes pennington versus kunitz. Kaya another buckley. Assan pick main versus mantell jackson through theon versus fajita lipsky versus john kim. Now the coots alaba night. This is insane. And he likes anthony smith versus the iago santos johnnie walker winner. Sean our friend conway whistle anyone. Hey mike smith great tonight. I don't hate the rackets rematch. But i'd like to see how maga med versus ozdemir. and craig versus gossips. If they re book that plays out and see smith versus either craig or mogomedov should they win you want versus span makes sense. Armand versus ahead lipsky versus. Tyler's santos think that's a little too high santos fighting roxanne. Modifier memory serves correctly. I think so Mainers versus andre. You'll find buckley versus fluffy crazy fight. Fluffy has a fight books and other for pennington kunitz kaya..

"There for the Cougars. 24 tackles already. Meanwhile, they take on ASU and I like Ricky Pierce saw this guy is like a triple threat there for the Sun Devils were shot. Wait at the back field. They've got Wilson and Bunkley Shelton as well pretty good receivers Butler and so I'll pretty good rule linebackers as well. For a sus you on the road minus 3.5 52 total from Provo. I like the spot there's on state catching BYU off their biggest one in a while. I mean, if you watch the game, that's up. I like the one Super Bowl. So, uh, play against BYU and that spot castle like the under eye. Just motif defense is Have the advantage of the opponents are the opposing offenses. Both teams coaches are conservatives so under for me as well. Iowa state brought partying company off that disastrous turnover performance at home. The Cyclones losing the sidewalk trophy to Iowa and again as Brad told you, Iowa only 177 yards of total offense but still found a way to get it done with their solid defence brief hall. He's got to do better than what he's done. 39 carries 1 38 on the grounds got a couple touchdowns. He's a good receiver out of the backfield as well. And they did get tight and Charlie Koller back last week to help out Wilson and Milton. As far as receiving wise will McDonald the fourth leading the way with that Iowa state defense. They have a solid linebacking corps as good as anybody's in the country and then decors. Is a guy that also Can help out there with broad party He got in for a little bit of action. Their backup quarterback for you know, V. Doug Broomfield. You know, he goes back and forth with Rogers. But Broomfield is the guy now because he can run he can throw. They've yet to throw a touchdown pass. Charles Williams been the workhorse. They don't really have much of a receiving game right now. But I do like the way that women plays that linebacker position and A jockey as well. Those guys 39 tackles between them for the Rebs Rebs recovered against Arizona State. Now they're going to catch 32 a half up to 33 some places at Allegiant Stadium 52 a half the total bread. I didn't play it. I'll be in attendance. I they don't have more fans than you and I'll be. But I like that kind of number on the road. Uh, but I'm not betting on your only either until I could status of the quarterback. Fresno State at U C L. A Fresno State. Uh Catching 10.5 up to 11. Some places are it's stated 11. That's where it's hit. 63 63 a half the total Ronnie Rivers and Jordan memes in the backfield. They've got killing a cropper. We've fallen Pope, decent receivers. I like Jake Hainer. I think the youngster has got eight touchdowns. No pics has done a great job for Fresno State, and they were that close to beating Oregon. I mean, can you imagine how deflated Oregon would have been going into the horseshoe? Instead they go in there. They're sky high because they came back beat Fresno. They're missing three defensive starters, including Thibodeau, and they get the win over Ohio State. Fresno State that closer to winning up at Autzen Stadium. U C L A off of by Remember that Sharpen a transfer from Michigan and they've got dull. Such an excellent tight end Kyle Phillips, not a bad receiver. It's going to be a good one. But U C l A. To me is a team that I don't want to get in front of as much as I respect, president stated Spanish, his team in for instance, state maybe without their starting center whose dad passed away and, uh, 63 63 a half is the total. Where you going on this one. I'd like you feel, um you know, I like both teams want to bet on both teams. But, you know, I thought there was slight value on the Bruins. I think they you know that it was good that they had to buy after the big one against L issues so Dragon Knights will reset for him. Just think they're not blind experiments. They beat up president there well, but there you go in the last game, Santa's a state minus seven now across the board, where a lot of 6.5 but seven now Coming off the bye at San Jose State. Next article, Tyler and Evans in the backfield, along with good, solid tight end Derek East Junior, But Santa's a state they you know they lose the USC, they beat Southern Utah. A team that also went down and played a issue and then Hawaii with Cordero will try and take care of business. It's the fourth game already for Hawaii. They day Hunter in the backfield. Not bad. He's a dual threat out of the backfield. Martin and Turner and Jared Smart needs to do more because Martin and Turner of done their job, but Jared Smarts been quiet. Compared to those two on LaSalle has 19 taxes to lead the Rainbow Warriors. They are catching seven at home 62 from Honolulu. Numbers fair. It's right on my number at seven. So, uh, don't that for me? All right, real quick. Just your take FCS FBs games. Anything that jumps out that still has value for the listeners if they can get down Uh huh. I kind of like Delaware against Rutgers. As long as you're getting more than 21, so By price would be 21 a half or more so that Delaware against Rutgers. And just want to got to ask because I'm curious. What about my leathernecks of western Illinois at home against Eastern Washington, Plus 9.5? Uh, well that night and has thank one book. I had to soft number because it's and I can tell you if it's not soft somebody needs from Washington. That number is way off my opinion that the numbers should be well in the double digits. Sorry, K p. No, that's okay. That's alright. Just I just I look if I can make money I'll think of money. These are Washington Lane to it. You and all the right on a neutral world. I mean, would you be back here all the seventies Western all night? Yes, I would. So there you go. Alright. Good stuff. Brad Powers. Alright Saints at Panthers Panthers Right now, Plus 3.5. There are some threes minus juice but mostly 3.5, now on New Orleans, But I'll tell you what Jamie's Winston looked really solid. I know the game was in Jacksonville and Aaron Rodgers did not play a good game, but that's part of New Orleans. They came to play and I let Sean Payton Carmichael runs a pretty good offense, and I think Jamie's Winston's matured and not the same, You know, gun slinger that's going to be thrown a lot of interceptions like he did at Tampa Bay. I liked what I got from Carolina. They were one of my players last week. Jets came back had begotten a two point conversion. I would have pushed that game It would have been upset, but they end up covering the game your take on this one. McCaffrey and the guys at home does not rule get a win there. Does he get a cover or to the Saints Keep rolling. Yeah. I don't think you ever is good or bad. You're looking weak one from the NFL, So I'm going to play against how great New Orleans Look, they've had covid issues. They got injury issues. I like the home dog outright. Wow. There you go. All right, so you and I'll go a ham sandwich on that one. I'll take. I'll take the saints there. I'll give you 3.5. I respect that rule. I like him a lot. But I just think New Orleans is is pretty solid, and I think they're moving forward without Thomas, the receiver. They're going to play it like he's not going to be there. Texans and Browns Browns up to 13 and I agree with the move 48 the total. This is one of my players that I got on early Look, Cleveland gave the game away against Kansas City. I thought they really dominated the Boche point. I mean, it's absolutely unexcusable that you don't roll out to your right and then try to kick the ball. That's just, you know, brain malfunction there, but Cleveland to me, they'll be back. Unfortunately, we'll probably have to go through Kansas City again because of the tiebreaker scenario, although I still expect Cleveland To win that HFC north. I did make a bet with Mr Brad Powers. He's got the Baltimore Ravens. Good luck with that. Uh, Cleveland and Houston. David Cully Houston. Very impressive in that first game..

"I'm going to say anything to them. I just focus on myself. Men right before kyle phillips goes up just turns around puts them out on a shoulder. I've been the big leagues for two years. Son how do you like me now. I think i think i looked what i've been to the big leagues for two years. I've already. I've already beaten your little thing. You anything else to say. I can buy and sell you anyways. I'm gonna home run right now. He goes up at homers. I pick my guys crosses home plate. The few fans there were laughing at this guy like crazy and i'm sitting there like this is the greatest thing i've ever seen and i go up to the batter's box for my bat. An eye home run first pitches. I was running down. The third baseline. Kyle is running down the line with me. Yelich say something to him to that guy right now. I can home plate and instead of saying i just did. What was the bartender from love boat. I can't remember his name. I basically did a long finger point gesture to him with a smile on the best cocktail winning to my dug out the whole stadium just erupted in sheer cormet. Shut this guy of along with kyle. It was the greatest for people that that don't understand. You fail so much as a hitter that those moments don't happen usually the heckler says something in i mean even if you getting three out of ten times they usually will gamble and get that right and you look you look bad going back so those moments very rarely happened and when they do they are so sweet it was just. It never happened again. Obviously because what are the odds your guy and then they say something you and then you back to back home runs and you get embarrassed. The guy that is a rare moment but man i were remember it till the day i die. No doubt though doubtless Let's go to some of the some of the good bad and the ugly as hell Epp addition here a big time baseball. The good i got a chance to witness this myself. Show a tiny. He was already at forty home runs but he got twenty stolen bases against the padres In the last series man at this point i think you and i both grease runaway Mvp winner in the al. At this point. I mean he's putting together things we just never seen forty twenty. That's in rare. Rare company Brian braun ron ronald kuna. Junior christian yelich curtis granderson Some of the few that have done it This is this. Is this amazing man. It is amazing to see what he's done all season. Long cody absolutely keep minds minds. Those dangerous said those those season that they had were. Mvp years and also they didn't pitch to double digit wins for france. Amazing it's just off the show. It's what we were. It's basically like in two thousand seventeen or eighteen when he was dropped when he was signed. This is what we were so this is what they were telling us what was going to happen. And then of course we had the injuries and we didn't get to see it and it came to the point where he's going to be a great ball player and always be a good ball player but he's never going to be that i mean that's honestly it was. It was out of the realm of reality that that could even take place that guy could dominate like this and they were right. It took a few more years but man. Oh man what we're seeing from shohei ohtani we will never see again. It's interesting some background On the angels talking to some of their their guys who Do the games this weekend when we were out there This one of the biggest changes that they took all the the reins off remember when he came over. He had like restrictions like he couldn't be in the lineup pitting two days before he was getting ready like there are all kinds of restrictions he had on a plus the injuries And i think one of the things that was related. It isn't if you wanna do what you said Set out to do over here. You got to be there every day and that seems to be Something that he has embraced and look at the kind of year. He's been healthy all season long. And it's funny allowed times especially in today's game there's so many restrictions on you guys in general especially guys who to pitch And it's interesting that they kind of took the reins off of them and he seems to be thriving When they've done so yeah and it's been quite frankly last watch. It's almost been like watching video game but it doesn't seem like it's been real. That's how he's literally doing things that a lot of us got a chance to do in literally. Mike pitch hit. Do both well you you stop doing that. Pretty be maybe some get to do it in high school right but for the most part. You stop doing it prettier. Let's do it in the bigly doing this show and just so people know how incredible that as you mentioned that in little league like like everybody else. That platon bigwigs. I pinched and i play positions. But i did it too much little. I tore my ucla thirteen years old. Okay so to say that this is a difficult thing to do at the literally level let alone. The major league level is just i. I'm going to say it again. We're seeing something we will never see again. Yeah no one. Hundred percent agree is go to the bat This includes my squad padres now trail of the reds by a game and a half in the wildcard to start this week reds have thirty games left only eleven against teams above five hundred There's a lot of conversation about if the padres phil what would should be some of the consequences of business. Padre team has a chance to They're starting to get starting to get healthy with starting pitching. There's been some encouraging signs must grove with a complete game. Snell had a terrific one Against the dodgers Yu darvish his first. Start bag all the was perfect. It was better And now all of a sudden paddock could become an off. he actually will come off today and pitch in there hoping arrietta is also available. So they're starting to get some pictures back. These bullpen days have really taken a toll on the on the on the on the bullpen and more importantly the offense has stroke. They just have not been putting up the runs in If they're going to make a run the offense is going to certainly have to pick it up..

"Round kyle phillips was so strong that you would think yet won the fight but twenty seven nine twenty eight six take off the extra in your twenty eight. Twenty eight eight drawl ryan clark. Judging now has really really bad nobody can feel good when you walk back to the city of the octagon in a very close fight you know. What's the crazy thing about that. Fight is college. Phillips was so dominant in the first round. I didn't even think the fight would actually go to decision. And then you see kind of work his way in the second round and didn't into the third round it was a very close round but i felt like paiva ended up winning that one too. I thought it was going to be a drug. But that's what the fight game is about. And that's why judging is so hard if you take the entire fifteen minutes you say to yourself. How phillips was more effective. Collar phillips was more aggressive. But that's not how the fights are scored dc. So if you have a situation where only one of the judges score that. I run which i believe was by far in easily eighteen. Eight round if only one of the judges gives phillips that ten eight round you end up with the decision that you've got even more dramatic to me. Was the macy barber. Miranda maverick decision and maybe you maybe you were on the side of that. But round round one into were so easily maranda maverick rounds rows that we shouldn't even have to discuss the discuss and for the fact that macy's barber actually got one of the guts. Got one of those rounds on. The scorecard was crazy to me. And so now you put her in position to win this fight and that was one of those things i watch macy barbara fight off her back foot so much. So that one of her coaches screams. You actually have to try to hit her. When have we ever heard from the corner of a fighter in an nba octagon. That never happens. And so macy barbara obviously turned it on the third row. I agreed with all of the judges that that should have been around scored for her. But miranda maverick was robbed on this decision and to me when you and eurofighter and you're an upcoming fighter like maverick as you come out and you pressed the wrong one and through around to and you win those rounds you deserve to have your hand race acid the fight. They don't get these fights back. Yeah you can run it back later. No can get a rematch. You can try to come back up the ranks but you don't get that particular fight back and this is a huge deal to me. This is a bad. This was bad. It was bad in the vein of miranda. Maverick deserve to win. The fight seemed like ron one and two were miranda's and when you have a champion valentina shevchenko trying to build momentum toward someone fighting her right macy while still fantastic young fighter. I don't want her to think for any second. That i'm crapping on her but miranda seemed to be the one that had the momentum but not at momentum stumped for however long it is macy. Barbara has to continue to build on what she just got. But we've seen some bad ones. And i think part of the reason is we've got some boxing. Judges call in these fights are judging these fights. You don't quite understand the grappling in the transition on the ground and kinda act like you a little bit. But they're watching these fights and they don't follow jamie comes with when it comes to the grappling. At times they're not heaving value to the take down to the top control and everything else in. That's wider judging the fights in the way that they're judging you know man it's unfortunate in. I hope that at some point we can get former fighters guys that have been in there guys that know that when two athletes come together and there's a short right hand that lands that may be missed by the blind eye but they can see it because they've experienced so many times. I think that is when we're going to see. Judging reached a level that it should for sport..

"It's insane like how can you give phillips a ten nine and then again how gallium paiva ten nine to three. It makes absolutely no sense and until that part of the game is fixed. We're going to be having these conversations forever. That single around around that round one for kyle phillips was probably the most egregious scorecard agreed round score of the entire event but i thought there were three bad very bad decisions on that card and i think we all know all three of them were saying he screwed without saying he gives a better fighter. Dillashaw looked great but not as good as course and eggen and in a weird way a weird kind of crazy bit of irony. The fact that san sorry dillashaw Got his i mean. Standing almost basically won that fight the first round he blew is a he blew popped dillashaw one of his. Oh i think no so now. Dillashaw is gonna be out for good while because of that. The dillashaw kinda go for these take downs and where you couldn't actually finished a takedown. So he was just kind of holding onto that back that little ways. Lucky ad and dc kept saying to take down. And least donna's there to go. What are you talking about dc. We listened to the commentary but because of the dillashaw messed up knee. I feel like dillashaw had to play for points and just kinda wall install and unfortunately the judges rewarded that. So that's how the cookie combos don't like it. But what if it's like a willie pep around where there is no damage. Store will have one willie. Pep went around without throwing a single punch damage is taken. Then you go. So what. I'm saying i we're taking grandma. Grappling is that what in this i if if it is all one firestone. Just one hundred launches doesn't let us in the one no grappling dude. Is it output or is it defense. I don't particularly care one way or the other. I'm just trying to like if you take damage because there have clearly been around with. There's no damage done How would you score that fight. I have never seen a willie pep around in. Mma ever but it's happens. In boxing go effective grappling aggression. Means nothing aggressive means is yours. I but i said there's no. This is a purely striking round. There has been no clenching no grappling. This is just a guy throwing all kinds of spinach shaped punches. Kicks everything. They never clinch up. They never grappling never wrestle. Give it ten ten. This is all hypothetical tonight. So you're giving ten ten. Yeah i know. I know i'm reasonably unicorns and for some reason but i think i i attend exist using. That's my thinking and the question interesting due for another for questionable parents level. Do you think steep as getting unfair treatment by usc. He said he didn't wanna fight this year last. I heard y'all so expect to get a rematch right away. Because of his title win record. I think this is great. What he did a heavyweight. While i think this is great what. He did heavyweight if he always gets a loss to his next challenger if he wins the bell backing go win loss and expect to rematch. I think one is a better fit thoughts. And then that's that's the first questions little worded a little weird so i think he's just saying fair. That's unfair that's deep is not getting the amita rematch. Considering he holds all the ucla records dc. Got back to back rematches. Or what he got the immediate rematch with dc dc of course fought at least one time between then we fought. Derek lewis a ufc two thirty madison square garden. And then steve bay well he defended about yes and then steep bay got that next fight so stupid flood gencor three times in a row and now he's basically asking for the same. Courtesy against francis gano franson. Ghana's said he didn't really see the need for an immediate rematch. Dana white seems perplexed. One scenario was brought up in the pre interview prefight breast collins. I don't think. I don't know if you guys remember that. But i think it was brought up. And dan was like That's a good question. And then like he just moved on one presented woods would steep big at another fat chance at france so mike is debate being treated unfairly by the osi. I mean you can make the argument that sea-based been being treated unfair by the ufc for years. Now even since he was the champion. I mean the heat in the rivalry between steeping. Ufc has been going on for years. Like jose at usc twenty. You saw it happen. When steep beat france's he wouldn't even let dana put the belt around his waist. That rivalry has been going on for a long time and a lot of it has to do with promotional push stuff like that and a lot of. It's on him to. He's not the most outgoing individual most charismatic guy when he does interviews. But that shouldn't take away. The should take away anything from his fighting. Another thing that we have to keep in mind. Is that the heavyweight. Division landscape is way different than it was back then. Now you've got guys like john. John ciro gone coming up and winning. These fights derek. Lewis had just fought for the title not long before that and was trying to make his way back up what she has done and now we have all these other contenders that are trying to to make their way up the rankings right now so that the heavyweight division landscape back when st bay lost the belt to dc was just so vastly different than it is now there wasn't that many contenders. There's a lot of different contenders. Now there's a there's a queue in the heavyweight division for the first time in a while so dana has said like you know especially with. What's going with jon jones. And you know the back and forth between them. These steep is going to get the winner of this fight. So i mean once francis has undisputed title fight steep is going to get the next shot so i mean it's not like he's not in the conversation because dana keeps bringing them up like the winner of gone and lewis will fight francis and then st bay will get the winner of that so it's not like he's out of the conversation it's just he's just not next. It's just a different division than it was two or three years ago. Yeah you'd have to imagine if john jones is moving up to heavyweight when daniel cormie was the champion we probably wouldn't have had the trilogy with steve faith so back to back to back. I'm sure they would have thrown a john jones fight in there against the new cormier heavyweight or brock listener fight or whatever regardless or if came. Alaska's hadn't come in fought francis in ghana. Maybe we could have gone steep bay and kane during that time We're gonna keep it to this scenario specifically because i feel like has debate been treated unfairly by the. Uc has been a question for like the last four years. And it's like mike said it's there's a lot of scenarios where he's been treated unfairly by in this specific scenario..

Kyra phillips I think it was originally gel and kyle phillips but really five rs moving up bantamweight and and this is a bad match for him against cairo. Killer good as you look the last time against song. I picked the gas. Kyra phillips left. Pick against five of the news not necessarily the fattest athlete but man he any train child. Mallory be shelled out. I can't pick a five step it up but but yet harborfield's way song even in a dominant decision possible finished. I tough attitude to a great. A great kyle is just another level. I'm going with the jason. Memo's little brother kyle phillips curve. Column amoah phillips. He's aqua kid. He's awkward boy full of jokes tonight. Zing next stuff. Also the main car. Jerry about matchup against minner that off you gotta drive a stake in. It was hard like vampire to get him out of there. I'm gonna go the way. I think minute minner by submission. Why unbelievable on the ground that's ours. One of to displace air just to get on the job amount of knocking out which is going to be tough. But i i'm gonna take better by submission. Covered hopkins versus physician naked show and then wins and his own submission arm bar. That's despite last night. He got the coming back from day very often. So i can't count out. Actually that case what do you think. Roberta who's winning by submission and you got a guy. And he's just that see. "Now we have another card going down to the apex this weekend. And we see the return of macy. Barber is this and pico status. Where she just working out the kinks to explode and be who we thought she was. Or is this a sign of greater trouble Mesa barbara tori scale base. Barber is aaron. pico Is he was. He was strangely enough to gifted in too many different areas. They didn't know what to focus on it so you just try to do them all and they got him fucked up macy barber. I think he's still very young. So i think she i think she'll be okay. I don't know how good i don't know where her ceiling is. Don't think we all think any of us. She has a lot of potential. We don't know what your ceilings and we may start learning this week as long as he stays healthy and she fights regularly than we kind of see it because basis what. How old is she lay three. Yes sees there's there's time with her. Another miranda maverick as just a young twenty four really good fights lately. She's on a winning streak so it's interesting. They didn't give him a soft toss. No not at all not at all. So she has to go in there and earn that one Darren elkins is still fighting. Yeah the damage as fun to watch. It's the worst tattoo in usc. Terrible the davidge is on this card. So yeah. I predict blood in that. Fight aspen lad. Macy chase on. That's one hell of a fight. Ask them adds another one. Who's super young. Twenty six years old bantamweight division Got beat by grandba- but outside of that she's the grain every other fight beacon sky up at the time that look like a good wind dr eubanks cheese two or three way but again talking about people we fresh blood in the bantamweight division aspirin ladders one of those people who can deliver that. It's a tough fight. Makes china sends a really good fighter. She's showing has one loss in a career both very young in their respective careers. It's a good fight. Kyle phillips also on this car and callous another guy who's kind of climbing up the the ranks so you know. He's fighting a pie in. I think that the coleman events fight before that yes third third friday night. Yeah and i'm very interested in because colleague phillips pretty damn good and a lot of people don't necessarily know about him yes twenty six years old. I mean kylie young pilots young. There's good matchmaking. Going on right now in the ufc. I was really impressed. By phillips against site saw deng. Who's my boy. So you're wrong. Yeah he'd be soggy dong last time out. So i'm definitely interested to see. His growth is cool. These fights he needs to really build up bantamweight on the men's side to is a place that's wide open theft vision that is wide open so cuyler can really grow into that role that way. We have the return of t. J. dillashaw versus corey. San hagen in the main event. I don't know how much it dillashaw was. Pd's consumers in a world world-beater before and then switches for work up a little bit when arrogance header. Barau is completely different guy. After that and i don't know i can't pinpoint when he started cheat where. Where was the switch..

"Dtra's never had a passer rating above sixty one with pressure. So hopefully the game slows down for him. The real positive here is that you would think he isn't as pressured as much this season. Ut ucla's offensive line. They're gonna return all five guys including two tackles that we think compliance on days. It was an online last year that when it had quarterback behind it. That got the ball out on time. Quarterbacks did pretty well. Right i mean. Dt are still runs himself into some tax but basically when the ball came out on time. Ucla's offensive line allowed a pressure rate below twenty three percent. They also did well opening up lanes in the ground game. Top forty in line yards. Ucla to me out wide has some nice weapons as well. Kyle phillips might be the best slot receiver in the pac twelve. You have greg dosage. I mean he is a nightmare at tight end. I don't know who can cover them. Only kyle pits was a better downfield tight end last season than dosage. Only three other power five tight ends with. At least twenty five receptions had more yards per outrun than dosage. The other tight end mike. Martinez is an absolute animal. But i think. Ucla when i look at their roster when i do some reading and poke around for some information they're still looking for the reliable outside threat and let's see if they can find it. I'm not sure like chase. Coda and matt sykes or the solution. But we'll see cam. Brown does transfer information. 'em what i do like though is chip. Kelly telling us what he thinks of his team. I two years at ucla chipper in a slow offense relatively speaking. You can't run a million plays when you're out manned and don't have the horses last season that tempo increased and with basically everyone but felt back on offense. I think we see an even faster pace the season and to me a coach will tell you what he thinks of his team and i think that's a pretty big indictment of of what chip kelly thinks of his offense at least and i think he's got reason to be excited. Not only about his offense and what he brings back this year but a defensive team all that really improved last season. They jumped Their overall by one point two seven yards per play on defense tied with toledo for the biggest jump year over year. Ten eleven starters return but you do lose all pac twelve performer and osa. And i'm not even gonna try and pronounce this game. So i apologize the ucla football fan. You know what. I'm talking about when when you look at. Ucla defensively their biggest issue was trying to slow down teams. That could actually throw the forward pass where they ranked one hundred fourteenth when you begin to assess ucla's defense. Are you optimistic. There trending in the right direction and you could see mark improvement from that group along with an offense that we have i- expectations for this season like what. Ucla chose to do defense with last season i it was just so chip kelly in the sense that him being an analytics guy. He's new defense. Couldn't hold up down to down so he wanted to be really aggressive and chip knows he doesn't have the top defensive talent to win down to down so ucla was like. Hey we're just gonna be feast or famine. Defense played super aggressive fifty-one percent bullets rate seven ties in the country but the four to five allowed. Ucla to prevent big plays also so basically ucla wanted to create chaos. Around the line of scrimmage and and and get home while playing their secondary back and if they didn't get home they weren't going to give up the big play they're like hey you can feast on the short intermediate stuff be efficient down down. Try to take it on us. You know twelve thirteen fourteen place and so it's always good to see coaches. Choose to do things that make sense when you look at them metrically as a team as a good sign of a good coach and ensure enough chip had that right approach because ucla finishes ninety eighth in success. Rate allowed ninety ninth in line yards ninety eight than stuff right. One hundred nineteenth and rushing success rate. A lot he knew his team was going to get bullied either. Way why not create some pressure interns and people over now. The blitzes didn't get home as much as ucla would like. And that's why they're barely above average in havoc only forced eleven turnovers. But i think another year in the system. Ten guys returning. There's hope i think for a little bit more consistency with veteran group and a full off season when you're trying to project improvement it typically doesn't mean projecting a team to go from horrific to elite. Ucla was outside the top eighty defense efficiency. But i think todd a good result for this defense is a unit. That's fighting to be you know in that top fifty to sneak in there. I mean hey look. I mean we knew it was gonna take some time for chip kelly to build a program up and i have to imagine everything he went through a tumultuous stops along the way in the nfl he was going to try and find a program where patients was a virtue and ucla had been burned before it was some coaching hire. Jim moret never quite panned out. The carl durell years. They'd like to sweep under the rug but they appear to at least go. Hey look we in chip we trust and we're going to allow him to do things his way. This has to be a maker break season. They begin to show strides. And then you get some of that tailwind that can lead you into a lot more optimism going forward because we talked about at the top of the show. Usc hasn't done enough to separate themselves from the rest of the league. Arizona state may be going through a bumpy road in their own right and who knows chip was able to take a sleeping giant and build them into something. Special at oregon. Maybe i'll have that same ability with ucla. Having built up the overall depth chart slowly but surely and have the quarterback that can run his system..
