"It has it well. First of all the three teams they've played are are are the three teams. They beat are terrible And you and. I have been saying that for two months but as the schedule plays out more and more. It's it's painfully obvious. How bad those teams are i mean. And i think you know when you and i have dissected it over the weeks. We can kind of pinpoint the y. You're losing to the ravens. Twenty three to seven and your head. Coach is throwing a temper. Tantrum on the sideline because of meaningless rushing record that he wants his defense to be the one to break so he gets the brownie points and isn't concerned about the sixteen point loss. You go into pittsburgh against a very vulnerable steelers team and you make big band. Look like he's planning a super bowl ten years ago. That guy that guy did a reverse ageing process against your secondary and then the cherry on top was what happened last week. i mean. The the raiders were an absolute turmoil. I mean turmoil. They can't run the football. They have the second fewest rauscher yards in the league and the worst run blocking grade in the league according to pf. So it's been fun. The steelers had no ability to go toe to toe offensively. You have to be able to run the football or you become what the steelers were at the end of last year. The raiders can't run the football we know they downgraded their offensive line. It's been fine and pass protection. Poor run blocking team that will absolutely in a division with good quarterback play. It will haunt them eventually the broncos. I'm a believer and here's why two things don't make any mistakes with teddy bridgewater. None their defense is top five against the pass and top five against the run and they have a real pass rush. They don't have to win by blowout with teddy bridgewater. The fear is we we. We're not gonna win and shootouts. You don't have to. We all know vic. Fangio top five defensive mine. They're going to be in every game this year. They also patrick sir tan maybe the best rookie in the league. So far the corner from alabama has been great and they got kyle fuller the bears best corner so they solved a big dilemma. Went from bad to to really strong at corner. The there'll be no. So I ask you that I mean, it's so wrong on so many levels like this is a guy who can tackle Dallas told you to tackle problems and he's downplaying tackling, and he hasn't ball hawked in a little bit, either. Um, so that's even another point. But Norm van Lier always used to say NBA. It's a want, you know, like rebounding to there's a technique, but it's more one. It's like blocking for a wide receiver. So is there a lack of want from that E. Jackson when it comes to tackling Why? Why does he have these issues? I'm not sure part of it. I just don't think he's very good at it. I mean, that was on display a couple of times in the preseason as well. Um, I don't know that it's a lack of want, but it's just not something he does well, which is unfortunate because he's a safety. So the whole secondary is a problem, Guys. I mean, think about it Last night, they had one past defendant and that was by Jaylin Johnson. Why? I think it's going to be a really good player. Do you know how many passes defended the Los Angeles Rams had seven Seven. So the problem was really easy to see. And and the thought that it was just going to go away Magically when the regular season began was crazy like you've got Jaylin Johnson and a bunch of other guys. Was anybody feeling strongly that those guys were going to gel and Take the place of Kyle Fuller, or get together as a group and form a group of cornerbacks that you could really trust that secondary. It's tough enough to be a defensive back in this league when there is a past rash, right so now I mean it means double trouble here. I've got to pass rush that I really need to To be Consistently harassing quarterbacks, and I've got a secondary with the top cornerback is a second year player who struggled with some injuries last year. Plenty of potential but how in the world could you not see this coming as a problem? And this is where the roster issue becomes? You know a conversation. You and I have battled a little bit friendly and With Carmen Yurko about how good Kyle Fuller is like. Nobody on this show has ever told you that Kyle Fuller is going to remind you of Jalen Ramsey or is a Hall of Fame player. But he's an above average player playing a position where you don't have a lot of depth, our overall talent and important important position. How in the world did you think you were going to be able to overcome? You can count Fuller in my mind. And then the Falco's got this whole thing again like there has to be calling Carmen. You call him DeFalco. That's he's the Falco When he's on my You know what list? You know he makes his making this stuff up. He's putting words into our mouth. How fuller Is a Is a proven good player. Yes, he's a good player. In an important position where you're thin where you're thin and you have spent on the luxury items of Jimmy Graham, who played like 18 plays yesterday, and they've got four other damn tight ends that they like. You spent on Terri Cohen, who is a third string running back and you don't pay running backs to begin with. You've spent money on Nick Foles. Who is your third string quarterback, and you gave up 1/4 round or forum? You've spent money on Andy Dalton, who is a $10 million quarterback, stop cap. I could go on and on on these luxury Eddie Jackson is getting money to not want to tackle Kyle Fuller is a salad. Defensive back who you put him at the corner position, and you don't have to worry. Would you rather have Jimmy Graham on this team or Kyle Fuller? Would you rather have any Jackson and this team or Kyle Fuller? Would you rather have tree cone on this team? Or Kyle Fuller? Would you rather Nick Foles on this team or Kyle Fuller? And let's not forget about this left tackle position? All these privileged spending things that we have spent money on? And we're hiring a 39 year old. Guy off fishing boat who played 48% of the snaps and then got hurt sometimes and you're you're also a team that's built to win now, right? You've got an aging defense. You're you're in win now Mode. Again. I'm not going to try and sit here and argue with you that Kyle Fuller belongs on the all protein, but he is an above average player. That plays a position where you're thin. Now, the answer is is well. You've got to be better at your job as the general manager so that when you wave goodbye to Kyle Fuller, you can replace him with a younger player in the drop off is an enormous Well, this this group up there. This general manager has not proven that he's capable of doing that. So when you lose Kyle Fuller, and you have zero confidence that they're going to be able to replace him with an addict and adequate Fill in. It makes a bad situation. Worse, right? This isn't about cow Fuller. And over glorifying it exactly didn't have to worry about that spot. We still don't know what Jaylin Johnson is. When you and Johnson and Fuller you are fine and defensive back. We were outstanding. No. But it wasn't frivolous money like this money that you're spending on. Some of these other players who were Nick Foles is making a million dollars. Again. I again I get arms point earlier was, you should be able to trim the fat replace guys better players. The point is, is how fuller wasn't fat. Even if you don't love Cao Fuller. He wasn't fast again. He was. It was an important component for a position where you are thin. And it's going to show up not just against the Rams Look at their schedule. Next week, you face a Bangles team. They may not be world beaters, but they're improving and they've got a good young quarterback and Joe Burrow and they've got a group of weapons on the edge that are every bit as good as what you saw from the Rams. I believe all right. So if you want to weigh in on this topic, the roster problems a lot of people say, Look, we're talking about the defense we're talking about. Nagy. But the real issue is Ryan Pace and the things that we were talking about, and then they did ever really good conversation. And then those receivers are just lethal. There's some little young talents at the opposition Some really confident. This defense will be great. That's why really teddy bridgewater being able to consistently get the ball of these guys is my only concern and i think this has a chance to be. The one of the best defensive bridgewater has ever had so vic. Fangio paired along with kyle fuller in patrick's retained that scary to me rewire have a lot of faith in his defense But the weapons are there. Teddy's time go get them. Teddy giants giants. Could my question for the giants is whether or not daniel jones can take care of the football. You have the weapons now. There's no more excuses. Everyone's been making year after year. Give us another year to to build around these guys, So it's it's there in a really bad spot, just overall in a lot of that has to do with consistently missing on quarterbacks and just recycling average quarterbacks. But when you have your fan base gets all hyped for a potential Russell Wilson trade that could have been a franchise quarterback situation. And then you settle for Andy Dalton. There's just It just feels like a lot of pressure on this draft. I'm excited about it just because I think there's a lot of intrigue where I feel like we could have a lot of moves made tomorrow night. There's a lot of teams. We're not exactly sure what direction they're going to go. Remember, I think the last time I feel then was when the bear signed and adult if I recall it, your displeasure was noticeable. Yeah. Bears fans were not happy about it. So what does this mean? If you're feeling it now, are you Are you feeling in tomorrow? I am filling in tomorrow. This could be more big Quarterback news for the Bears of Eric runs filling in Quarterback news happens. We'll see. This could maybe be a good sign. Eric could well, hopefully will be a good sign. We definitely need some some good signs. When it comes to the Bears it at that position, especially if they aren't able to get a quarterback. Then where did they go? Like? What did they need? Most after that, I mean receiving receiver for sure. I mean, you have guys like Allen Robinson and Darnell Mooney. But They're gonna have to add some pieces there, which I think they will offensive line for sure me. We saw how much the offensive line struggled last year. He kind of got going late in the season, but a lot of that had to do with Um, you know, playing some weaker defense is so I think Offensive line is a huge need defensive back. They moved on from Kyle Fuller. That creates a huge need. Kyle Fuller was one of the best cornerbacks in in the NFL over the past couple years, and they had to cut him as a cost. Cost cutting moves, so they have Jalen Johnson and one side of the field, So I think cornerback receiver offensive line are probably the place. If if Matt Maggie doesn't hit on a quarterback early doesn't necessarily mean they won't go for a quarterback later in the draft in a second or third round, But most things that would take a lot more. I mean, that would also mean though we're looking at trying to develop a quarterback, then yeah. Yeah, For sure. I mean, I don't think you know, immediate starter and even if you get one of the top Quarterbacks, depending on who it is. They still might view him as a model of projects right word but take a little bit to develop them like the tray. Lance we touched on that from North Korea State, He only played 17 games and North Kota State. He won all of them, including the national championship, and he's more of a dual threat he can throw. He can run. Um You know, if if you don't have a ton of experience under your belt heading into the NFL, it doesn't always necessarily mean it's not gonna work in your one or you're too But same time we saw Mr Risky start what a grand total of 13 games in college. And that hasn't exactly worked out too well for the Bears, or for Travis Keys. So Kellen Monza name to keep an eye on I'll throw that name out there. He's a quarterback, Texas A and M. And this is a great addition for the broncos were vic fangio and the defense despite the team's offseason moves in free agency of signing ronald darby to a three year deal and kyle fuller to a one year deal this move makes sense for the broncos to go best player available and when you look at the long term outlook at cornerback for denver. Kyle fuller's here on a one year deal. Bryce callahan deal. The broncos will be up after twenty twenty. One endeavour has to evaluate how they want to build in the future. This is a great pick for the broncos with horn hornhues athletic measurable. 's test off the charts. He's a fast physical and very smart. Cornerback that will fit very well. In vic fangio's defensive scheme now some of the other players we contemplated kayla farley but due to some concerns with his medicals opting out of last season he recently had back surgery even though the broncos interviewed him in the pre draft process. Jc horn seem like the best pick for the organization at this time especially in a tough afc west division or they have to play patrick mahomes and although receiving talent they do have okay. He's not someone who excels naturally in run support vic fangio usually once a lot of that out of his corners but certainly has the ability and coverage to play any scheme you want his ability to blitz and get home doing so has to excite the broncos but personally patrick certaines a little bit bigger i tend to favor that a little bit in my corners as well and if the kid from virginia tech fairly didn't have some of the medicals i think he'd be hearing a lot more about him being the first corner taken regardless. Jc horn won't have to wait long to hear his name called. Whether it's from the broncos or someone else the denver broncos who have been searching for a starting caliber quarterback since peyton manning hit the wall. Well yes they absolutely should consider quarterback here. They should be very willing to move up to get a quarterback if necessary and if they do in fact come away with a corner from this pick it very well could be opportunity lost.
