"About consistency. In the manager. There was no reason to start henderson in that game against his old club the club where he admitted his name and would have had huge emotional ties and he comes up with an absolute howler of mistake. Why would you put your goal keeper in that position. let's look at you have to add in the champions league as well the performance within within those games there have been games where it's almost like last season andrew. There were times when when you so greenwood and rochford link gulp you saw fernandez and you thought fifteen is going to explode but there were other times as well where you saw them fall apart. And that's not forget what happened at old trafford whip josie marino this season the absolute humiliation this offered. No i just think you after you have to look at performances within games two and like that that six two against leeds leads scored lots of chances. It could have been six four. This was a perfect manchester. united performance. Leads were well able to get at them and the best goal of the game was scored by by a defender for lease united. So yeah look on paper united. Well my god they're going to. They're back to back but come on. We've been watching them. We've been seeing where they're at. They're going to challenge sure. But that's the kind of season that is. They're up to third right now. We go from a stock up club to a stock down club. Jj i'm trying to be as rational as i can. Right now about tottenham and what's going on with them over the last week i to sixth in just a shocking amount of time. Here's the big thing. I guess i'm kind of trying to come. To terms with you know in the wake of the leicester city loss over the weekend. Like games like that. They they're going to happen. Teams are going to have these certain days where they just don't have it Especially against sides that are good. Leicester city is a good team. And for whatever reason whether it was tottenham undoing. What lester was doing it was just one of those days for spurs they were poor and felt a little bit like the season opener for them against everton. And really i haven't seen that side of tottenham really all that much in between where they're just they're just not on it for whatever reason and like i said. I think every team is gonna have days like that. I just had this emotional connection with tottenham so i feel like i'm more keenly aware of when it happens with them so i can accept that the thing that is harder to accept when you look at this as the days where they do have it. Don't get the result and then like those are the games to me that come back and cost you now when you're sitting in six plays whereas if you if you did when you were supposed to do on those other days you'd be right now still in first second third like the newcastle matt result. Twenty-three shots karl darlow eleven saves. He looks like manuel neuer. And then a late penalty for a controversial handball. Next drop points the west hand game three now up in the eighty third minute like the those are the games that are harder for me to justify in the season the leicester everton games i. I can live with a day. Where you're just you're just off. But it's the days. The comeback by tottenham where they did have where they were good enough and now you know. It's those clubs. We talked about manchester city and there are a hundred points season liverpool last year we saw those teams that win titles on days where they don't have it they still find ways to win and i think that's the stuff that is a little bit more concerning to me. Than even what i saw from tottenham over the weekend in that loss to leicester not to say that there weren't things that were that were concerning surgery like we talked about. He's been very good this season but there is like. We all watched the amazon prime documentary. It was one of the first things that joel moreno said the surgery in their first team meeting. You scare the bleep out of me because you have that mistake in you. We all know it and it reared its head. I mean like on the stroke of half-time to lose sense of space of where you are and make that challenge it. Just i don't want to get on the guy too much because like i said he's really brought it this season. In a way that spurs fans and pundits didn't expect but that was that's the other side of him. Only david louise has had more Committed more penalties over the last two or three seasons or so Then surgery so like that can happen. The own goal on toby oliver. It's kind of an unlucky bounces. The ball like i don't i don't know what to even how to even analyze stuff like that. The orient foul the own goal. It's just. It's just kind of one of those days. And they didn't generate much attack. And i give leicester city credit for that. And now tottenham her sixth yeah. Andrew bad results can happen. People know what. I'm going to say about this. People understand already my point of view. I think if you if you commit yourself to playing the least amount of football possible. Then you're always leaving open to results like this and to results like that happened against southampton and results that happened. Even against good teams like liverpool and especially against leicester city. 'cause let's came and thought we don't have to play that much football against this team. Sit in try and make them play. See what happens but people know what i. I'm going to bore people with that. This is kyle dawson a taught fan. Question for andrew tottenham is a weird team. They lose even when marino's plan works. They look poor today but to be fair. They almost always look poor even when they win..

"Than spurs then madrid madrid. But yeah not not a ton to say about this one. The us are going to be back in action again which is good very good. We weren't sure how many matches we're going to be taking place during this international break. After australia pulled out but now it will be the us panama on monday afternoon so We'll be back doing another podcast. I'm sure after that one. Don't know if it'll be monday night or tuesday morning but either way we'll have reaction to that one as well already hearing. Jj for that that the us will once again be going with a false nine. They're actually going to be bringing. Nfl harbor out of retirement. Bear wants to send another message. That mls players who are retired still will get considered. You know what i deserve that. Maybe i think it went into hard on. I think i've gone into hard on on on Triple g well let me let me ask you one question to kinda put the whole analysts. Us men conversation to bed here Like who would actually be. We have a good sense of who the core of this team is who are the actual analyst players that you think have a chance of breaking through because i can think of a you know me and you know where i'm gonna go first with this. I hear jordan jordan. Morris can play for this team right. Well you've just ruined male by question from kyle dawson that gets deleted straightaway question to ask the same question. Which non-european-based players do you see getting into this side janis non-european bass player john. Johnny dozo is indeed. He's but he's been defensive center mid for internacional of brazil which is a pretty high standard. Let's be honest so he kinda counts in the in the non and mls realm. I would say. I think jordan mars definitely i think I think it's not the role that you like for. But i had legit and you know thought highly of him for a few years now and he is. Somebody that i believe can play for this team you in the mall. I'm not slagging them off. I'm just saying don't do what you did tonight with. Yeah i agree. I think he can play for this team. But i don't know if that's where i would play him. I think well he soon to be a european player but Brenden aaronson obviously comes into that equation. I think about aaron long. He's somebody who had kind of become a mainstay in central defence. Yeah yeah i think. I think i think our longwood will still be in. The mix spoke on an. Here's an here's why. I think walker zimmerman probably still in the mix too at centerback because tonight you know the way bear halter is looking for us to play through you know. Play out from the back and do things like that tonight. There was no pressure on the ball for most of that game and so the. Us defenders phone quite easy and it wasn't a real test of their ability on the ball as many times as we saw them play decent passes. So i think. I think centre back but then again you know. You're looking at. Chris richards as well who didn't get a run at back. I mean he. He skips ahead of both of both our long end zimmerman in my view. I wonder who will see again on monday. Or how much. They'll change things up like i am expectancy horvath. I would think that would happen. Maybe we'll see more. I'd like to see more of reggie. Can you think highly of him as well. I think i think you'll see. Can i think you'll see a lot of changes. Andrew for the simple reason. That or be leipzig. You've venter's will surely have spoken to the us men's national team and said look if you're going to give extended minutes in one game that they get arrested for the next game Because right now the workload in european club. Football is monstrous and all things. If we're being totally honest with ourselves pandemic and workload included there is no way there should be international friendlies tonight there should just be qualifiers for the euros or whatever. Competitive games need to be played. It's insane to me that there's friendly's you're right however like club the like we said the. Us hadn't played in two hundred and eighty five days at some point they are. They do have to play friendlies. These guys do to play with one another to like. They can't just go right into their next tournament. Gotta play together. I i hear. I hear what you're saying but When you when you look at the injuries that are happening now and when you look at Just look at the whole landscape of things. An an cova cases spiking through the roof and so many countries. While that the that's another story you you would question the how clever this whatever we're talking about it now it's too late we've committed ourselves to it. What's what's this little american mailbag you got there bucko and she called me bucko again i will. I will you do. What are you going to do. I would drive your house and slap you it. Come on do it then. Tough guy credibly. Tom badrul destined mckinney. Were grit young guys. And debuts mostly encouraging the backline and midfield controlled again pretty well excited for when they can have pulic sergeant and marris helping an attack. I think tonight would have been a good night for both morrison. Sergeant i really do. It's a shame. Scott sipping all the creative players getting their first caps looked like they were trying to do too much and had no chemistry with each other. While they're they've only been together a few days that's fair and young players will try to do a lot. There was there was a. I've never seen so many stepovers in swazi in my life also weston mckennie. Who like said like he was clearly playing with some next level confidence night but he like he spin kinda like. I think it was the second half on the left side He he spun towards the end line and it looked cool but like there wasn't really a defender near hand. I wasn't entirely sure if he had to do it. And then the ball wound up going out for a goal kick right so yeah. You saw a little bit of that carl. Carl makes a appoint that we've labored to death but it it still can't be overstated. Seeing american players particularly in the midfield be able to receive the ball. Turnoff field dribbled past. Players was a huge step in the right direction. Mckennie and mussa in particular were great. No laughing and i get that and like in laughing because of the years mean you have been together. I know talking about this coming out. A big games and just saying we'll never be at a certain level until we have five six seven players who can receive the ball on either side and are comfortable like i don. I could be wrong. Who was the guy who wrote that. Message carl carl's like to read. It is almost to read it with a smirk. But i believe that he wrote that as a matter of fact statement like. I don't even think it was meant to be funny. I think it's just like he's truly saying it's nice that we can do this now. Oh and like. Let's let's continue to do that again. Not necessarily go back to like pass to the defensive midfielder back backpass to your center back to the goalkeeper smash it down field and then just go. I defend again for the next forty minutes fans of this podcast will be very very familiar with the d. chastening nights sometimes not even against that good opposition. Right where mean you have been in the studio bemoaning. The fact that we couldn't keep the ball for four or five passes like wire honduras doing this right here on doors wire. They allowed to do whatever they want. Yeah yeah and. I remember particularly the night. We played our opening game in the copa. America against colombia Oh yeah that was. That was a night of realizing ho boy..

Which non based players do you see getting into. This side janis non-european bass player john. Johnny cardozo is indeed. He's buddy defensive center mid for internacional of brazil which is a pretty high standard. I think i think our longwood will still be in the mix spot on an. Chris richards as well who didn't get a run at center. I mean he. He skips ahead of both of both our long end zimmerman in my view. I wonder who will see again on monday. Or how much. They'll change things up like a expectancy horvath and net. I would think that would happen. Maybe we'll see more. I'd like to see more of reggie. Can you think highly of him as well. I think i think you'll see. Can i think you'll see a lot of changes. Andrew for the simple reason that or be leipzig. You venter's will surely have spoken to the us men's national team and said look if you're going to give extended minutes in one game that they get arrested for the next game Because right now the workload in european club. There's gotta play together. I i hear. I hear what you're saying but When you when you look at the injuries that are happening now and when you look at Just look at the whole landscape of things. An an cova cases spiking through the roof and so many countries. While that the that's another story you you would question the how clever this whatever we're talking about it and now it's too late. We've committed ourselves to it. Who said like he was clearly playing with some next level confidence night but he like he spin kinda like. I think it was the second half on the left side He he spun towards the end line and it looked cool but like there wasn't really a defender near hand. I wasn't entirely sure if he had to do it. And then the ball wound up going out for a goal kick right so yeah. You saw a little bit of that carl. Carl makes a point that we've labored to death but it it still can't be overstated. Seeing american players particularly in the midfield be able to receive the ball turnoff field dribble past players was a huge step in the right direction. They allowed to do whatever they want..

"Two things I want to say about this With regards to Chelsea and to Christian Pulisic the first one being I so someone else mentioned this and I don't remember who so I can't give proper credit but the thing that's so interesting about what we're seeing with Pulisic right now is that he was not this prolific even at his best at Borussia Dortmund like it feels like now at Chelsea. "Well. As many millions of people saw over and over <hes> the we saw mr richards words in his racist rant and the laugh factory not long ago my clients represent four african americans who were in the birth in in the a group of twenty three friends <hes> it was a multiracial group. I might add that went to the laugh factory that night to celebrate the birthday the twenty sixth birthday of one of their friends and suddenly the they were victimized. Here's what happened. The group was seated on the upper level. <hes> they came in when mr richardson performing they didn't know that he'd be performing that night or what time anything started but so they went and they sat down and it's the case many comedy clubs. They were asked immediately to order. A drink says the two drink minimum. I know they were placing their drink orders and they might have made a little noise. Nothing above normal because twenty-three people are placing their drink the laura can i ask you quickly as far as work. I've never really been victimized but i have done and been victimized by the two drink minimum because they go. What do you want. You got to order drinks and i go <hes>. Let's get started with a heineken annexing now. Get two heinekens them. I want to break it up. I wanna bloody mary for my second drink. I want to heinekens okay well. Then i think you can order whatever you like all right. Well get to work on that but let's keep going so they order and there's obviously obviously some noise being made a waitress walking around getting everyone's drink right and then suddenly mr richards is alleged to have said from the stage <hes> something about <hes> those it was a dumb mexicans and african americans where he said blacks in the cheap seats referring to this group well. My client and african american was sitting next his mexican american friend. My client kyle dawson said to mr richards. My friend doesn't think that's very funny or you're very funny. So these are the alleged hecklers but really he was just responding to the comment. You know that bob dumb mexicans and blacks right so michael richards starts it off by by hearing the noise that essentially people make when they're seated in launches its first salvo from the stage they respond to that yeah exactly and see this is not captured on the tape because tape didn't start running until a little while later so then after my client responded. My friend doesn't think that's very funny. Then mr richards response with some more things that by the way or are not the tape <hes> such as <hes> such as <hes> you know i'll be rich in the morning. I'll still be rich and you'll be the n. Word yes obedient word and you know i'm rich and i can get you arrested and <hes> and then you see things on the tape like throw his you know rear end out of here. Where did mr richards used can calling <hes> my clients the n. word more than ten times <hes> using the you know referring to the statement which is on the tape about two years ago you know africans african americans and of course he used the n. word. Would you know would be turned upside down and have an f. and fork. Put out there you know he's the rear end reached the ugly racism lynching and sodomy of african americans can some years ago we under we understand i mean i saw the tape and read the transcript.
