Titans in the snow and they kept him in the ball ballgame Kevin Porn and all that got fifty nine or nothing. Hey Tom Brady was still throwing the ball late in the ball game I won't that Tom Brady does the what we want to get either. Pay Baby probably did that to him. And then bell check 'cause Tom Brady another soup goes you'd have eight because all tom did against the Philly. Eagles. A top five defense that year he just threw for a playoff record, all time playoff record five, hundred, five yards, and bell check gave up to Nikki folds you call him forty one points well, Malcolm Butler was mysteriously benched for the whole game. "It was about midnight phone rings, and she said, Come on and visit my show. So yeah. And I said, What's the deal about taking one for the pork loins? Commercial? She's better. I hate to admit it, but you need to admit it, too. But the truth is the truth. That all right? Okay, I could retire now. I'm not sure what's better. The fact that Kevin Harlan talked about Joe and went on and on about the pork rides, which is great for Southern recipe, or the fact that Kurt Warner uttered these two words, Dave Amy's great and Dave. I've been asking Dave for validation here because I love Kurt Warner, and this is not because he talked about me on the air for two words. It's because of his story is because he is the ultimate rags to riches, pro athlete class and grace and kindness. And he's a big family man and an obviously he turned himself into a Super Bowl champion M v P coming from NFL Europe, and so his story is amazing, but he's still very down to Earth and I just I really love the way that he represents the NFL and I like everything about him Family man. He loves his wife, Obviously his kids and just he's he's Fun, and now we've got to get him on the show. It's been one of my goals. Tohave the Hall of Fame Q. B on the show, but I feel like now, even in He's great, but I'm trying to get Dave to convince because that, you know, May I get a little insecure? Try Tio convince her to have Dave convince me that Kurt didn't just say that. He has no idea who Kevin Harlan's talking about, and he didn't just pop off with. Well, Amy's great because Kevin Harland set him up. I got to believe that he wouldn't just say that. No, he meant this. It wasn't like one of those like preempted life. Applause signs and the audience is like, please clap. Now. It wasn't that there's no billboards, so cute cards. Just aim is great. So I said to Dave earlier when we get him on the show, because we will. We obviously are partners with Westwood one, and now Kevin told him. We're going to play that little snippet for him, and I even said to Dave, should we should we actually do a read off of sorts Southern recipe small batch for crimes and she's better medical chief. That's never not going to be called s O s. Oh, I tweeted Kevin to tell him thank you, but he doesn't actually tweet that much. So now I'm going to recruit producer Dave to set him attacks to tell him to pick anyway. So that was pretty cool that with my apologies to all of the great sports stuff that happened on Monday, that was probably the highlight for me. Well, Aimee's great What? That was awesome. I don't get star struck that often. But Kurt Warner is one of those guys that I would love to have on the show. And so that that's my in right there. We're not gonna waste time, though talking about small batch, poor crimes, Or maybe we will. Whatever the man wants to talk about. We'll talk about well, Amy's great feeling going to tell my entire family. Here's the funny part most my family's going to have no idea who Kurt Warner is, but it's still gonna be awesome. My family and friends know little about sports and couldn't care less which is actually why I love them because I'm just a me to them. Fact, I'm not even sure my nieces know what I do for a living. They might they might. They don't think it's impressive, though. Let's talk to Michael, who's in Albuquerque? Welcome TTO after our CBS Sports radio Hi,.

"Go and save 855 to 124227. Before we get Teo calls here, and I know that we've got Michael waiting in Albuquerque. Patiently. I mentioned Kevin Harlan. He was a guest on our show Sunday night and the way that he did it, he did the game in New England. He hopped a flight to D F W He got off of the flight in the airport. He found the way to his hotel. And then we had him on the show. So he was kind of doing us a solid even though it had a really busy day. Before we talk to him on the air. I had a chance to just talk to him personally, and Kevin's great, he said To me, I hear you doing the commercials for small or for Southern recipe. Small batch pork rinds they air during Monday night football, and he said on Monday night, I'm going to give Kurt Warner crap because he used to do them and now you are the one who is voicing them, and I thought Okay? Not that he's not from fear, but that he would probably forget. Why would he remember something like that in a conversation with me? But lo and behold late in the game, and I wasn't the only one that heard it. I didn't make this up. We've got it on tape and both my Twitter and.

"All right. Well, this edition of the rich Eisen Show we are live in Los, Angeles on A. I am rich Eisen adjusting the volume of MILLEA earpieces so I can hear myself. It's a great day. We've got ourselves fun the rich. Eisen. Show. Front three hour show that that were worth. We're thrilled to be here. Week three is underway in the NFL game. For 's are complete in western conference finals. An Eastern Conference finals in the NBA game four of the Stanley. Cup final. Is Tonight on NBC, which is going to have the. Saints and Packer Team on Sunday night and we will have that front and center in our final hour of the program since one of the quarterback all the only quarterback who is still alive. From who's going to be starting in that game is gonna be joining us Aaron Rodgers I. Wonder what he thinks of the narrative of drew brees is, as we said on yesterday's show the Terry of the NFL. That's a reference to the actor who played Bernie and weekend at Bernie's. It's basically someone's GonNa, just prop up drew brees and just move his right arm. It's could be Johnny Silverman I. I got a call Johnny So that'll be fun with Aaron. And I up to discuss that narrative to Kurt Warner. Kurtz give me I up and can't wait to talk to Kurt also about Carson Wentz. As you know I think that is the story of week three that that is a major storyline that is hidden by The Sunday night marquee of green. Bay and the saints, the Monday night marquee of the Ravens in the chiefs and all the other games that are on the week three in bulk Sunday marquee like the cowboys at the Sea Hawks in Houston at Pittsburgh. Just to name a few. So those are two quarterbacks one in the hall of Famer Kurt One that's going to the hall of fame and Aaron Rodgers Jesus Mero to funny is man from the Bronx from the Boogie down. To Staten in the Bronx together right in the middle of the show for fun laugh good. Times. Here today. And we kick off this show. We kick off this show as you see right there that's our lineup right here on our quad cast we kick off the show. What I say I say this to you all the time before we go on the Air Chris can confirm this. Yeah, I look at you and I say it's winning time. Basically. Every day. Literally, we come on the air at noon eastern nine o'clock out here. I look at you like eight, fifty, nine, thirty on the clock thirty seconds ago. It's winning timer. Yeah. That's what Lebron I have. In common I, think show I. Think it was Shams Toronto of the athletic who is on the show last week from the bubble prior to the Western Conference finals beginning I said WHO's going to guard Jamal Murray, right I asked him and he said Kcpt and I even asked if it was Rondo Caruso right and he said on occasion Leib Ronald Probably, take. Well. Occasional rod last night. Better I've last night with a fourteen point Laker lead hacked down to two possessions other plucky nuggets, resilient nuggets. And and Lebron. Marked joe-marie and Jamal did not have a single basket from the field. The rest of the way had a couple of free throws and and Lebron and the fourth quarter. This this I didn't know these I guess this is the pro football focus of the NBA. There's all these stats for any sport that you can do. You have a defender of. A record if you will a stat of closest defender to anybody. So Lebron James when he was the closest defender, those he was defending was O. for six from the floor in the fourth quarter. That's good. So Lebron. With a rebound in two assists shy of a triple double twenty, six points on the night and when he and Anthony Davis combined for an even sixty that's going to be very difficult to beat the Lakers Rondo chipped in The aforementioned Casey p what a big three point shot late night game. And so when Lebron and Anthony Davis combined for sixty and then Lebron plays that defense and says, it's winning time and that is the ultimate respect if you're looking for any signal. Forget about the fact that it I come on this show and talking to this mark phone say he got me off the couch many times in his performance in game three and throughout the playoffs and the NBA twitter is throwing rose petals at his feet is he's well-deserved the. The basket last night where he switched hands on the way to the hoop and then. Jordan went switched hands and went just straight up with it around one defender he went underneath. And clutched it and flipped it spun it off the top of the backboard and the person he went. Past was Dwight Howard and underneath was Lebron. I mean Jamal is making his mark. But the fact that Lebron says I got him. To me. Is the ultimate signal that Jamal Maria arrived in case anybody's wondering I got him. I'M GONNA. Take. And I'm reading all these game reports about about this and we heard what Lebron said afterwards, it's winning time. And I thought one of the articles about it that I read. Pointed out that Lebron son is closer in age to Jamal Murray then Lebron himself. And Lebron is like I got him and I will make sure he does not shoot. Man. That's why he's the best player in the NBA Today as he will remind everyone. On occasion and he's one game away from taking the Lakers back to the NBA finals, and you could also say the nuggets have the Lakers one. because. For the third straight series, they're down three one. And they're here in a third straight series because they came back twice from being down three one. It's just this time. You know there's different methods in which they have fallen down by three one. This time they took game three. We'll see what happens. Because they have yet to lose in this situation and if they win. If they if they win over the weekend. Guess what they'll be seven in this situation. In these playoffs though he's seven and now it would behoove the Lakers just to take care of business and knock him out of course. As you know things build and may grow. SORTA like Ryan Fitzpatrick. Spirited. They, build them, they grow the legend. I came on the show yesterday started the show yesterday previewing the week three Thursday night football. Kickoff on NFL network to say how entertaining it will be beard versus the mustache and what have you, but keep an eye. Out For the fact that if the offense struggles in the manner that it didn't weeks one and two. Maybe, Brian Floor is does what Hugh Jackson was forced to due to injury. Two years prior in week three on a Thursday night football exclusive.

"There's Times in the game where I couldn't figure out why he was looking at certain direction instead of another direction and then of course there's times when and he's looking for guys or expecting guys to do something and they don't do the right thing until you put all that together and you put the ball in. Somebody's hands it's a very tough the place to be when you're not really sure what you're going to get. You're not really sure how long it protections GonNa last and how long I can wait on a receiver and this receiver. Didn't do the right thing the last time nine. So can I wait on him because defense is telling me I suppose to throw it to him. Can I wait on this time and expected to do the right thing on not going to. I'm going to go away from it yet. Then that guy gets open this time and so. It's a tough place to be and I I just think it's it's different for Tom. Brady issues to scheming is open. He's used to being able to look. Look at Gronk out there and even if bronx somewhat covered say I can still throw it to Gronk and make a play because I know I'm good enough to throw it where I wanNA throw it and Bronx Bronx good enough to win that match up or get the football and so he's been used to kind of jamming and sometimes to his number one read with good players. I and right now. They don't have those kind of players. So you have to go through progressions more and you gotta get through things a little bit faster and you gotta be a little more patient with things and I think that's what's throwing their offense off right now and wow all right before I let you go. That's quite a mouthful so look you eat Brady's neck backup got so much experience. We know I mean I don't even need to set this up. Bella check they probably see this in real time for the they might not even need to see the film In real time a so. What's the fix what's fix here? They know what's wrong. That's a great question and you know as I always say if you can pinpoint one thing Eh. The problem I think it's easy to go. And Okay we're GONNA address this and we're going to figure out how we can fix this one area. The biggest problem is there's too many areas he is right now and so I don't know how you fix all of those areas. You know these young guys you know to get them up to speed your offense of lines and no hot how to protect them so they can protect Tom. Brady Tom Brady. And that mind as you said he is. So good from the neck up but to get him to settle in and understand. He's got to play the game a little bit differently now because he doesn't have the same weapons. That is a whole bunch of stuff. You have to correct that one particular time and so. I don't really know the answer that I don't know how you fix. You know four or five different issues where everybody's taking their turn How you fix that quickly? I think it's just GonNa take time and the question will we. Do they have enough time to kind of wait. This thing out and at some point hit a bit of a stride. Where even though they're gonNA depend on their defense more they can do enough ostensibly offensively come playoff time to beat some of these good offensive football teams all right so looking over the last one for you Kurt Looking over the week fourteen steering wheel which which one I'll give you four options which one features the biggest chance of an upset cowboys bears and we all know. Even though they're each six six the upset would be the guy to your left on game. Day morning said You've got that one ravens bills chiefs patriots treats seahawks Rams and we all know what the upset would be chiefs patriots to despite how Red Hot mahomes looked against the raiders. What do you got for me Well in those scenarios I'm going chiefs You know their their defense is starting to become a little more opportunistic And Yeah I think what we've seen with the Patriots is that when you have teams that can score on them. That's giving them problems so the ravens jumped out early on them scoring wise and they were were able to get back into it. The Texans jumped out early on them scoring wise and they couldn't get back into it because their offense isn't working. I believe the chiefs. We saw you know last year that they they can school on this defense and they've got the playmakers in one on one situations to do that but I believe they can jump out them. Jump out on them and score some points and force. Tom Brady and company to keep up with them and that to me is not a good scenario right now where the Patriots are so. I'm definitely going chiefs her that well and then also just the front load for. Are Saturday meeting for Sunday. Game Day morning Even even with whatever happens for cowboys bears while you were making your way to the airport. Jerry Jones spoke on his radio show today curt and had this to say about Jason Garrett being qualified to win a super bowl and which coach would be if not him. He said this quote nobody. He has the exclusive skills to get the job done so that collectively you can win a super bowl. But there are qualified people Jason Garrett one of them in my opinion Jason Garrett. We'll we'll be coaching in the NFL. Next year we'll be coaching in the NFL next year and then he left it at that. Yeah he's always good her so basically curtain Kurt Kurt. He could be coach the cowboys and if not he can use Jerry's a reference it sounds like a good reference. I mean yeah you got a lot of form. He's gotTa Bust in the same room as you right. He one of my classmates All right well get ready for that conversation. It's common it's common man. Wait wait currently play Thursday. They do I mean and that's so much on the line right there I last one for trubisky. What do you think what's going on with him? What do you what do you see I? Well I mean I think the bottom line is he still growing you know. I don't think we've seen everything that Mitch is. I'M GONNA show us Throughout the course of his career you know talked about the last couple of weeks. He's one of those that really I struggle with. Because he makes some really good plays he's and excite you at times and you've seen games where he can put games together regal man. This kid has a chance once. He settles in and grows into the position. And and then you see And then you see the other the other side where you're just like what are you doing. What are you looking at so you know I again? I don't know how long you can wait with a guy like that. Kinda like Jameis Winston. You see enough that excites you. You see enough that makes you shake your head. Throw your hands up and I think Mitch is still at that point. Wait I think the question simply becomes what that cut off point where I need to see more consistency from them because we just don't see it right now boy. Thursday night's GonNa be amazing last night was terrific terrific to Kurt. I I listened too much of it. great job on. I'll see you in a few days. Our Buddy you got you got Kurt Warner at curt thirteen eighteen warner on both instagram. As well as twitter right here on the rich Eisen show. Okay lots to unpack right there while we had that conversation. Mike Mike Tomlin is named as starting quarterback for the steelers at Arizona will hit that and yes I I just read the Jerry Jones. Sound bite you need to hear. Certainly since it's got that Jerry focus through and through that's next on the rich Eisen show..

"Give us his thoughts. On last night's Game Sean in California joins us on the topic. Bad guys you root for in the movies Sean. How are you good sir? Right on First Time long time by the well-fed fifteen thank you throw my hat in the ring. I think I'm GonNa go Danny Ocean and the whole eleven through for your report but that's a good call. Yeah you do root for George Clooney. A bunch of criminals middle's he gets out of it and they're good looking to way too good looking and they take down Al Pacino and so you actually so you don't root for Al Pacino even though he's a Andy Garcia Al Pacino is in Ocean's twelve maybe thirteen thirteen. Yeah then they lost me by the time they got there. But yeah you had Andy Garcia the great great heist there. Brad Pitt in their air rooted for George Clooney. Now really bad guys you know. They're like the Robin Hood kind of guys without giving back to the poor. Yes yes it. They weren't giving it to anybody. They were taking it themselves. I guess we feel like well. If you rob the Casino they rob us but they rob us in daylight right in front of us. We know the rules going in that. We're going to lose our money still amazing that you have a business plan where people go. I got this much to lose like when you go to Vegas guests or one of these casinos. How many times do you hear somebody go how much you got to lose how much you bringing and I go? I don't have any to lose but people go in going. Hey Hey this is like our Broadway show and I go I okay. Y- Broadway is going to be cheaper for me in a feel a little bit better when I leave the performance warmest yes. It's kind of funny. That a movie pulp. Fiction can get you to root for a whole bunch of bag is like they've pitting bad guy against Bagai but you choose sides or like those are my bad guys. Oh boy but but you. Root for Bruce Willis. You don't have a problem with him as the boxer is fixing matches though he fixes this is one. Yeah and then. He's on the wrong. He kills the guy in the ring. Yeah that's unfortunate. Yeah well that's just collateral damage there. Yeah that you guys are hit men that you like a man and they sure are funny. You do root for John John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson ving rhames is. Yeah not really a good guy in that either. But then you can't root for them to then I did root fruit Houma Thurman Yes. How could you not? I know I know I just saw the band that has The Song Uma Thurman is that like fall out boy. You're no it's all all right. You call them fob all the time come on now. Kurt Warner joins US you. Can you can get out of this if you want Kurt. You don't have to jump into this conversation but we're glad to have you know. He called the game last night with Kevin Harlan on Westwood. One seahawks in the forty. niners how are you Kurt. I'm doing really well. How are were you guys? Well I have some questions here about the San Francisco Forty niners Let me ask you first. What questions did you get answered or do? Do you still have with last night's performance. I I would say the question I still have is is about the quarterback. We've been talking about Jimmy Garoppolo just saying okay. You get in a game like that where you're not running the football and you have to carry your team and you've gotta make throw actress Rela. I mean you can put it in overtime time and you give them three straight throws and we go you know for three there or you know numerous times you get a ten point lead and numerous opportunities to kind of drive the football down and make plays now. I know yet one ball that was in the hands of a receiver that ends up getting intercepted. But I just didn't think he was consistent enough and haven't seen him consistent enough throwing the football to think okay when you get into the NFC playoffs. It gets a good quarterback weekend and week out that you'll be able to. You beat those guys if other things are shut down and specifically if the run game shut down and so that continues to be the biggest question for me with this football team I don't. I don't think they're good football team member. They show Russell Wilson down for the most part last night You just can't give him that many opportunities or he's GonNa come back and get you but what I'm maybe I'm making too much of this. But I wondered about clock management in overtime win garoppolo throws three consecutive passes. I I have after run the ball. I have to take a little bit off the clock just so I don't leave Russ. I have to leave that building with tie at worst Kurt and it felt like three consecutive passes. Now I've given Russell Wilson too much time I am. I making too big a deal absolutely not I said the same thing on the broadcast. Is that obviously obviously. You WanNa get points and win this game. You don't want to settle for a tie but I'm with you the worst case scenario you have to get a tie. I was really surprised that they it. Come out with a draw or a screen something that you complete and as you said you try to get the yards and try to get things going but we're facing area you can take forty seconds off the clock so if you are giving it back So yeah I was one hundred percent with you. Is that after the way that game went back and forth back and forth and again knowing the guy on the other side of the field is that you can't give him three opportunities in overtime and expect him not to at least get them a shot At a field goal and so I was. I was disappointed in that part of it too. I thought could have been much better with that. And even if you're traveling back to throw it down the field. Hey it's it's not there get a check down. Get something that you complete so we can get this going game on the line final drive. Where does Russell Wilson rank rank with quarterbacks? Nowadays that you would take nowadays. I mean he's probably number two You know and maybe he's moved the number one spot. I mean Brady has done it so often so well in the biggest moment it is hard to go against him in that moment and I think that's what separated separated him and made him the best ever but Russell Wilson is right there. In my opinion I mean he is phenomenal and the thing about it is that they do do a great job of keeping every game close as well. We talked about it last night. There seven in one in one possession games this year and that just speaks to who he is you give them an opportunity down. The a stretch never fazes him. He doesn't you know usually make mistakes. He made the mistake last night. You thought okay that one mistake that he normally doesn't make is going to cost you the game But he doesn't make mistakes either with the football just phenomenal what he does and his ability to kind of live in chaos craziness going on around him and never paid him. Talking to Kurt Warner Hall of Famer won a couple of MVP sir worked for the NFL network and also with Westwood One. He was on the call last night. The seahawks in the niners. It feels like we have more good teams in the NFC than the AFC but the NFC is more wide open than the AFC. Who Do you think the best team in the NFC best team? I mean it's hard after this weekend. Isn't it pretty much. Everybody would have said the forty niners the saints were the two best teams in the NFC and then the saints going. Throw out that conquer You know at least in Francisco got beat by eight. Good the team and that is a great question You know and I always think you get talking playoff time and you say okay. Who's playing at home When you look at these teams like the saints? I think they're going to be really tough to be at home even though you know and I know this weekend Shows as well maybe not but but I think that team is a complete team with drew brees as a quarterback. Never just go as I said earlier. I'm just not convinced. Their quarterback is ready to go. Oh you know swing swing with the Iraj Irs Drut raises You know when he has to go two or three games in the playoffs In the packers just to me. You're kind of up and down and all over The Minnesota I love Minnesota's a complete team. I'm still not one hundred percent on Kirk in that moment so I'm probably going to lean towards date. I'm curious what the Ravens learned from last year in that loss to the chargers. That's helped them this year. With Lamar Jackson like what is different about the ravens approach with Lamar Jackson. That makes it more sustainable for an entire season and more importantly in the POSTSEASON I. I don't know if they've learned anything. I mean I think the bottom line when you look at the Ravens is that they can play that way an entire game. Meaning they don't fall behind and they don't panic they don't struggle with that you know early and get away from it. I think they can sustain that and have opportunities to win every game they can control the clock run. The football quarterback is dynamic in the run game. I think what we see in different situations last chargers we saw earlier this year. with the chiefs is when they fall behind and start to panic. Okay we can't necessarily run our offense anymore. That's where they've struggled if they can stay ahead of you and continue to do what they do and take their shots off of play action. I think there's GonNa be a really tough out. And then if you could get Lamar more Jacksonville gives you a couple of those crazy runs or plays Throughout the course the game they're going to be really hard but you can jump up on them early. That's where I've seeing them Kinda pull away from that and try to become something that they're not And again tomorrow has been great. I don't I don't think he's ready yet to have to throw thirty thirty five times and win big games. Well he did say that at the start of the year that day expected to throw thirty times and we thought Oh my gosh. That's a lot. That's the average in the NFL NFL. But it's above average for Lamar Jackson. Yeah I think you're right I mean and I think it's more to the nature of how they throw. Oh you know a lot of these teams that are throwing thirty five forty times. It's amazing how many balls they throw. At the line of scrimmage. The nature of throws for Lamar Jackson is off of play action action and a little bit more down the field Big Play type things as opposed to ask him to be really efficient on a bunch of of short thing..

"This is Dan Patrick our on this Tuesday Dan and the Danettes. Dan Patrick Show spent a lot of time. Talking about the niners and seahawks hawks from last night. Kurt Warner did the game for Westwood. One Hall of fame quarterback will join us get his thoughts on the quarterback. Play last night. Now you had a lot of interesting place. I don't think it was a great game. I think it was an entertaining game and I still come away with more questions about the niner's than I do. Seattle Seattle is going to be this team the rest of the season. They've been this way the entire season. They barely win win win. They barely win but they continue to win. And they WANNA game and over time time that they probably shouldn't have but the niners if you're niner fan. How do you feel today after that last night? You know you're supposed to win. I know you. You don't have Emmanuel Sanders and George Kettle. But you would think you're running gain your defense and maybe a passer to play from Jimmy. GAROPPOLO would be enough against Seattle because Carr's Seattle's not a great team and that defense I didn't think was great but it played. Its stepped up last night and David Clowney. I like how people are like David. UNCLOUDY was was awesome last night. My thought is always why. Isn't he. Awesome all the time because when I watched him with Houston there were times. I didn't know he was on the field and then there were times I couldn't take my eyes off him. Somebody's GONNA pay him one hundred million dollars in the off season. It's probably not Seattle. But he's GonNa get paid and that was one of those his moments last night where you go. Oh my God. That's right like he should be one of those guys who's a transcendent player. That size that speed at athleticism and I remember somebody telling me this when he first came into the NFL that he could get pushed around. That was the big knock like. He wasn't thick enough like lower body. His base was not as big as it should be for somebody who's going to be you know taking on these blockers going after the quarterback had speed and athleticism this ism but he he didn't have the base that would keep him from being sort of moved off his spot but Seattle picks up the win big win and I'm looking at the schedules schedules for both of these teams. They have a rough ride for the rest of the year. Both of them. And that's why I've said all along the NFC's wide open you do have more good teams in the NFC than you do in the AFC AFC feels like it's the Ravens in the Patriots. I don't know if anybody else's anywhere near them right now but in the NFC. I see the Vikings are as good as the packers and vice versa. The saints they're going to be there at the end of the I. Guess the rams. I'm not sure about the niners. Their goods Seattle's good Philadelphia. Dallas One's GonNa win the division. Probably Not GonNa make the playoffs here. And it's it's wide open and we'll talk to Kurt Warner about that now. If you'd like to watch the program you can eight seven seven three. DP Show email address EPA. Dan Patrick Dot Com. You can watch on be our live live in also audience Channel Two thirty nine direct. TV Lakers at the Sun. So we got to mack games. Coming up Reggie Miller will join us. I don't even know how we stumbled upon it. It's bad guy. You root for in the movies. I think we're talking about the movie. The town Jeremy Renner and Ben Affleck Doc. An armored car O on bell joined us and he's going to be an armored truck now. I got to connect the dots sometimes on their show. I don't know how we get to to Z.. You know I have to go back to a but later on bell and an armored truck in New York City today and then we started talking about the town and then do you root for Jeremy Renner and Ben Affleck Afla even though those are bad guys and then we stumbled upon other bad guys you root for and I said I don't think there's anybody root for more. Yeah Paulie. I watched a touch of that movie last night. Now I think it's pretty Creative I don't I don't know how well reviewed was. That seems like a movie. That's way way better. If you're high and I really think Oliver Stone meant it for people who are high and I'm not not even kidding because if you watch that it feels like a trip movie and I'm not exactly a guy knows a lot that kind of stuff as you can tell by the way I'm talking. I know that reefer prefer that marijuana marijuana that they smoke all but it feels like it. There's a hazy. Did you see the story with Dion waiters. The guy with the heat. He took a gummy and they had. They had an emergency. Because I had like a seizure. Something crazy a panic attack and I guess one of his teammates gave him a gummy. Yeah that panic attack is definitely a real thing really not so I've heard of course curse but he lost a ton of money because he's he's suspended. I think what five games something like that are ten games for having a gummy and then somebody said well. Where'd you get the gummy? And then he didn't want to say where he got the gummy but like this big deal. And he's got some clause in his contract that he gets like a million dollars if he plays seventy or more games so he lost out on that. That's the most expensive gummy in in gummy history. All right see I'm getting sidetracked here. Drew in Iowa joins US drew. You got a bad guy for me. I root for well I got for you. Dan Dan I one that you guys are talking about. Charlie Sheen is Rick Bonn in Major League and the second one is Jack Teller from Aw Sons of anarchy okay. I never saw sons of anarchy. It always looked interesting. Thank you drew. I don't think Charlie Sheen's role in major league. He's not killing anybody. Any a little control issues with his fastball. But that's exactly murder. Yeah he didn't lose control like in life he just lost control on the mound and add a bad haircut Arca. Yes Fritzy J. K. Simmons and whiplash incredibly entertaining as awful as he was to his students and he was just vicious with the as a music teacher I just. I was hilarious. Things that came out of his mouth. How horrible that they were? I didn't root for him at all I just wanted to. I wanted to punch him found hysterical. Eric Imagine if I J K Rawling do you hear what was on the receiving sensitive person criticism to they. I can't I can't imagine we're so over the top vicious and insensitive. The way he was dealing with this kid became like wow. This is not be rooting being for the kid I initially felt bad for the kids as more and more things work being blurted. Out of Jacob's Simmons about the World J. K.. Simmons I J K wrong even jk AK Rawlings it was that of JK Simmons Whiplash well. It was a great movie but I did not root for him at all and I love when he got his payback. There air when all of a sudden he goes on that his drum solo there. What's the kid's name miles? Tell Miles Teller John in Denver not to be confused with John Denver. Hi John No it. Is John Denver in Indianapolis five ten one eighty. I'm going with Johnny Johnny Depp in blow after watching that I go down to one seventy. Okay thank you John. That's a pretty good. What about bounded? Likable Drug Dealer Right House of cards. Do you root for them. Spacey you root for the Underwood's anymore. Yes I did I did root for them but you kind of do yes. "Kirk okay when my question before I let you go. Let's talk about your protegee. That's dominating sitting here at USC and his first couple of opportunities keyed on Slovak's you coached at Scottsdale Desert Mountain High Kurt fascinating enough. He's he's he's doing very well with an opportunity that was afforded him through injury which I find amazing that you it's kind of a Kurt Warner birth year for him in USA. Yeah I mean you sat fascinating that I knew he had a great spring and they were very high on him and and obviously the slated as the number two going into the season and then the injury to to j t and you get elevated and pushed into that position but I mean I'm so excited excited for cadence that he is a young man that obviously I've known for a while but a kid. I always wanted to be great. He always wanted to learn. He wanted me to push the envelope with them. We asked him to do a whole bunch here. In high school and a big part of that was I knew he wanted to play the next level and he had skills to play at the next level and so you you know every week I was trying to push the envelope with him and trying to teach him new things and see how far he could go at the high school level in hopes of preparing him for an opportunity entity just like this and you know and I love what they did with him this past week watch the tape and talked to him a little bit and a lot of the stuff that you know that they called for him. This past week was very similar to stuff that we had done in high school and I don't know if that was a conscious effort or if that was just part of their offense but you saw the results outside of it looked extremely comfortable he knew what he was doing with the football played very mature and I loved him getting the guys fired up coming out of the tunnel before the game aiming just showing his leadership so you know I think we're always surprised when somebody has this success this quickly whatever level that is but I'm not surprised prize at this young man was going to have success at this level because he's prepared for it and he's been pushed for it and he's he's worked hard. you know every retirement thing that he's trying to do so he can play at this level and have this kind of success so can't wait to see where it goes. I mean you know I mean coming in as a true freshman at USC and starting the way that he did if he continues to play well the sky's the limit for what he can accomplish and what he can be in probably the opportunities at the next level and so I'm pulling forma. Forma can't wait to watch him play again courtesy Sunday see this weekend. Thanks for the call brother or I meant you the best Kurt Warner it's Kurt Warner. He thinks camps her to who took the very high row with Gregg road with Greg Williams took took Winston over Mariota. I can hear all the titans fans yelling at the radio or television saying he's he's one. He's won a playoff game. What's Winston ever done Winston yet? He's never even been in the playoffs Myo one in Kansas City and I know achieve fans and not screaming at the radio about Jeff Triplett the referee. Everyone's got beef and again how about this kid slowness coming in just like Kurt Warner Corner didn't wasn't supposed to start getting an opportunity making the most of it except the difference between USC fans rams fans is rams. Fans weren't kind of routing to have their coach fired. This kid keeps dominating like this. They're going to miss out on urban Meyer News on that later fight on five on kaeding except maybe just lay off the gas a little bit maybe just lose to Ucla A. and then we're good. "kurt warner" Discussed on The Rich Eisen Show

"To the show I welcome back to the rich Eisen show as I mentioned at the top of the show watching Thursday night football last night cam just doesn't look like himself I mean he has missed receivers high before but it just seems more often than not. He's dirtying the ball. They didn't even consider option. One is it seemed on a fourth and inches last night went with a a play that they thought would work. I'm sure they practiced it but it wasn't option one so I figured let me call my quarterback and see what he thinks. He's pro football hall of Famer Kurt Warner. How are you Kurt? I'm doing good. How are you read? What do you think what's going on with? What you see? I mean obviously we all feel. There's something going on. you know to what degree. I don't know if anybody really knows you know watching you week. One in a lot of people were talking about arm strength and some of those things I saw make some throws from the backside. Excite has to outside the numbers on the other side of the field from deep comeback throws which are one of the longest throws in football with plenty of velocity so you know I didn't get the indication nations that you know there's something wrong with shoulder to the point where he can't throw a philosophy. You can't put push the ball down the field yet I did see and week one and we saw it again last night is he misses a lot of layups you know a lot of those throws that are just by. NFL Standards Wide Open and he just flat out Mrs M. and for a number of years I I just feel like sometimes he doesn't have the best technique he throws a lot with this upper body throws a lot with his arm and when you do that you have tendency to to kind of be up and down and sporadic with your you know with your accuracy and that's always been the case with Cam. He's been better at deeper throws when they can really push the ball down the field then the underneath rose but you know I I think to myself what was left foot. That has an injury with. I don't know oh how much that really affects you throwing the football. It's not your plant foot so it's really hard to determine exactly why he's missing these stroz outside it just techniques stuff. I don't feel like his arms. Hurry wouldn't be able to make some of the throws that he has made he just gotTa find a way to become more accurate if they're gonNA win some of these games and he's GonNa put his team Invest Position and then obviously at the end of the game. I mean it just it makes no sense outside side of you know he's more injured than somebody wants to let on that you don't give him the ball in that situation that you don't run the quarterback power and you get to lead backs in there and and get your big two hundred fifty pound quarterback and and run for a half a yard. You know try gimmick play where it's more about fooling teams than actually you know out you you know I'll muscling them out. executing them for a first down just makes absolutely no sense because that's where Cam has always been at his best and where they've always used him in that area the field so there has to be something going on there. you know whether it's something lingering or it's just saying hey. We don't want to get him hurt because we need him but that just made no sense to me last night I mean it snowball in our showing on the screen eighth straight losses in starts for camp eight straight now last year that was his shoulder and you point out some throws look you know the the deep the deep throws deep medals shows that he does have the arm strength. Could it be between the temples Kurt Kurt. Did you ever have a between the temples issue when it came to mechanics and things like that not so much mechanics but I mean yeah. I think that can always play into it. you know if you know if you're thinking about your foot because it is bothering you a little bit can that affect the way you throw football the way you follow through or the way you plan of course it can Dan when you're coming off. A shoulder. Injury never really had a shoulder injury but yeah I mean you know those things can definitely play into things when you're you're playing as opposed to just looking at what the defense doesn't reacting off with the defense does if you're thinking about anything else they can affect you in a lot of different ways so you know with all been through over the last couple of years and maybe what he's dealing with right now. I think it's quite possible that you know when you try to be too perfect a a lot of times is when you you know are farther away from perfection than when you just react and play and we always say that as players you want to get to the point where are you can just react. You know that you know what you're doing and don't worry about technique. You don't worry about any injuries you back. They're going Oh. This is what the defense does bank. Throw the ball. You don't think about trying to make sure you set it in their perfectly and that you hit the guy between the numbers. You're just good enough that you react and you make those throws so could it be that these pressing could it be that he's trying to be too perfect with some of the other issues that he's dealing with yeah that that's all possible and it gets in between your ears like you said Ed and it usually takes you further and further away from who you are as a player and it really seems like that's where cams at right now. This isn't the CAM that we've come to know you know whether it's reaction has taken off and running you know we're just getting back there in ripping it and if he misses one so he comes back and gets the next one he just doesn't seem to be playing with that same type of confidence right now Kurt Warner here on the rich Eisen show Kurt Nye will be hanging out with mooching IRV for another edition of Nfl Game Day Morning Noni m eastern on Sunday they're both in their fifth year. They're both in their options. They're both without long-term deals on the table. I give Janus or Mario Kurt. I'm GONNA go sports. Talk Talk Radio on your You got to choose one. Which one do you choose for the next five years? That's a good question well I I. I'm probably taking Jamus because I've seen more upside as a passer from him then I have Marcus you know but we continue to talk about it with James is that the bottom line with James says he makes a lot of plays on the football field but he makes too many mistakes at critical times he hasn't been able to delineate between what is a good risk to take and what's a bad risk to take and you know we've seen those guys in the past the great ones find figure that out as they go and they make all these plays and yeah but make a mistake here there but they make way more plays than they make mistakes and then the guys that are just just average even though they're talented or the guys that never figure that out and they give you one great performance and then the next one awful and then another good performance in the next awful and that's really where he's been. He's been a roller coaster the entire time but I've seen more from him passing wise then with Marcus Marcus again has had moments but his moments have I've been fewer and further between then Janus that I I really don't know because you know Marcus will while you every once in a while and you go gosh there it is shows you that he can do everything but it's just not there all the time from a timing standpoint in a big play capacity and and really see in the field and you know being able to build around him so both very inconsistent so far in their career but if I have to pick one I'm probably picking James Hoping that somehow some way we can we can get him to to eliminate some of those bigger risks that he's taken and come back on the interceptions and I think it'd be does that. He's got a chance to to win a lot more gain. That's game one of week number two as soon as we're done with game day morning taking everybody up to kick off of the bulk of week number two you're going to be taken off for New Jersey. You're the voice of along with Kevin Harlan Monday night football on Westwood One and what a Dandy this is going to be between the browns sounds end the jets I won't ask you if you've ever had mono Kurtz. We'll just put that one aside your it's interesting. You're going to be in the building here. I'm Greg Williams was accused by Odell yesterday of having dirty tactics said he said he's the only teammates told him that Greg Williams last year was counseling counseling his players to go low on Odell and take him out of the game for a preseason game. You have been on the business end of Greg Williams defense as a matter of fact that some of the Games that you were in one game in particular was part of the bountygate testimony. I wonder what you think of Greg Williams saying he's never coached those tactics Kurt. I'm sure this'll be part of your Monday night broadcast. We might as well frontloaded here. We well first of all. I am taking next Monday off so I was at that game just to clarify that one of the couple of I'm taking off okay so I'm glad I'm getting the exclusive then here Kurt go problems so I just wanted to clear that up but yeah I mean I have been and it's interesting because I feel like when you're answering some of these wherever when Greg answering some of these questions it's really about semantics and you know I don't WanNa say that any coach ever coaches cheap dots coaches you know go out and hurt somebody for the long-term term. Take out a knee so they can't play the rest of the year but I do believe for you know outside Greg Williams for a long time that there's been lots so teams that take the approach he. Let's knock this guy out of the game and you know it's not in malicious. Manner is not in the you know. We're GONNA take a cheap shot. Gotten tried to knock him out. It's simply don't want him to play against us so let's go hit him really hard Let's them really often and let's try to get him. You know to the point where you know he shuts down or you know again injury or you. You're banging them up enough that he's sitting on the sideline instead of playing against you. That's been a part of football football for a long long time and so you know when people ask Greg that stuff you know. I think that's the semantics. I mean obviously. There's there's evidence that you know he's. He's done things to say. Hey let's knock this guy out of the game. Let's go after this guy. now whether he coaches the cheap shot portion it could be what he was referencing. I never tell anybody to go out and blow somebody's knee out or do anything like that. you know but but obviously very interesting you know with all come out and knowing what the past Greg Williams has been you know 'cause I look back to my situation and obviously I got knocked out of a game against the saints in that kind of bountygate time period but the hit on me was one hundred percent legal. you know the guy hit me between the numbers. didn't hit my head. He didn't go yeah. I was kind of a defenseless position but that's part of football. Sometimes I'm trying to cover up and make attack of on an interception reception and I got blown up and so you know I look at that and all I can do say hey the big hit. It was a good hit and it was a clean hit and if things happen like that it's it's part of the game that I chose to play you know but I think it's GonNa be fascinating to see how this plays out. There's more questions on both sides especially aimed at Greg Williams because of because of his past well next time. I asked you that question. I'll give you the oxygen tank for the high road. Okay I don't. I want you to get lightheaded..

Adrian Peterson of Washington Redskins rushes for 90-yard touchdown, longest of career

"Since two thousand fifteen Adrian Peterson makes him look brilliant and takes that first hand off ninety yards. You know, if they'd had been one hundred fifty yard field. I think the eagles would have caught him. He definitely looked like he was slowly. But phenomenal run for thirty three year old running back. Right. Larry Michael with the call on the Washington Redskins radio network. It's after hours with Amy Lawrence here on CBS sports radio. This is one just for a minute moment that I want to point out. I heard Kurt Warner on the Westwood One post game show say this with that ninety yard touchdown. Adrian Peterson now has more career touchdown runs of at least fifty yards than any other player in history. He was tied with Barry. Sanders for fifteen touchdown runs of at least fifty yards. So touchdown runs that cover at least half the field. He and Barry Sanders. Both had fifteen now. Adrian Peterson stands alone atop that mountain thing about it. We are seeing a sure fire first ballot hall of Famer, I don't know whether or not is career extends after this season. But I do know that he has been one of those crazy story lines to come out of the Redskins locker room in two thousand eighteen it's after hours on CBS sports radio. And on Twitter a law radio. I can't

All the important questions as Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson go head to head in The Match

"He had a dinner with Tony Romo. And that was Tigers. Pro-am partnered Pebble Beach back in two thousand twelve and he went to dinner with Tony Romo just to bother. Tiger woods. So Phil said that you know, Tigers partner was Tony Romo and that night before the final round Saturday was big dinner. The Jim Nance put on I got seated next to Tony. We had a great night had a lot of fun. But I knew it would bother tiger that I had dinner with his partner. Tony knew this would also bother him. So he said, it was caddy do not mention that we had dinner last. Knight. Phil don't bring up the dinner. We're on the I t I IT off tiger tees off. I wait before I walk off because I want to distance myself between me and Tony. So I could say it loud enough. So as we're walking off the first TI yell out. Hey, Tony, Tony that was so much fun. Last night. I loved the dinner that was the greatest and tiger looks at him and said, you know, giving that look like that was a big deal Mickelson called her a moment that he laughs with tiger about now. But at the time, it was pretty intense. Mickelson ended up winning. But isn't that what we're all hoping for this weekend at the matches that one of them goes a little real in jab like UFA, like when I want a guy puts one in the weeds and just has a little Ouch. Just enough to. Okay, now, it's real, and it's a real competition because that's what ever wants. I hope we have some of that. Because tiger never let you in. It's rare when he let you in. But if he does then I'd love to hear the sense of humor, see the sense of humor or just to see a subtle dig their or the gamesmanship that goes on in what you would think they would be really wanting to say like if you had thought bubbles this time. You don't have thought bubbles. You just actually had their thoughts. That's what would be great Friday after thanksgiving.

Patriots, Tom Brady and Kansas City discussed on Get Up!

"Will be the fifty sixth straight game in which Tom Brady is a favourite that breaks the previous record for a quarterback who's record you'd think he broke. Steve, you know, it's interesting. The answer is Kurt Warner that Grady on turf, oh, what was favored in fifty five straight games from ninety nine to two thousand three nice and this offense that is coming into play New England on Sunday night one that a lot of people are comparing to that greatest show on turf in Kansas City. So as we look ahead to what is one of the really good games this weekend, maybe the best game this weekend, Kansas City at New England on Sunday night. Do you think we will learn more that in that game about just how good these chiefs are more just how good this year's patriots are. I'm gonna say we're going to learn more about the chief simply because of this. The patriots have been in many of these big gains before they know how to play in these types of games. And if they came out and put on one of their best performances offense in terms of controlling the clock, spreading the field horizontally vertically scored a bunch of points defensively. They came out and fundamentally without a way to slow down the chiefs offense. No one would be shocked. People will say that's Bill. That's Tom. That's what they've done for. The past thousand years, that's just what they do.

There is a group of pro football hall of famers demanding health care health insurance, and a of NFL revenues or those former players will boycott the induction ceremonies. Eric Dickerson leading the group of Twenty-one hall of fame members. Although there have been some questions to the players whose names are on the letter to the league say they're not part of the boycott effort, Jerry Rice and Kurt Warner both coming out and saying that they support the healthcare initiative, but they have no intention of boycotting the hall of fame

Group of Hall of Famers threaten boycott of induction ceremony until NFL provides health insurance, annual salaries

"A group of pro football hall of famers that includes Jim Brown, Joe Nemeth, Jerry Rice, Dion Sanders, and Eric Dickerson sent the letter to Commissioner Roger Goodell demanding that they get paid an annual salary and also receive health benefits saying, quote, we believe we deserve more. If the demand is not met the hall of Famer say they will not show up for next year's induction ceremony. Now hall of Famer and Westwood One analyst Kurt Warner's name is on that list. But Warner released a statement saying today, he never agreed to have his name on the letter. And would not be a part of any boycott

"Double, coverage with Seth, Dunlap live and local on WWL call 504-260-1870 or text, eight, seventy, eight, seventy We got a little superstitious audience tonight's welcome back? We're talking about again the unthinkable. What happens when the unthinkable, happens to the saints, injury to drew we don't want. That to happen obviously it haunts are nightmares. But the best organizations the best? Teams prepare for that here's the tax from the nine eight five why, even make this a subject why even put. Drew, an injury in the same, sentence words are powerful. Be careful what you speak into the air yeah I'm not a superstitious guy I'm not I don't control the injuries. You, know I'm not an ex-man Wish I were that'd be, pretty cool apparently. Had been a marvel film and making billions of dollars but I'm not. So I. Don't control the injuries nor. The fates, of any NFL player Something we gotta talk about something the best general managers and coaches do Here's. The texts in the five zero four? No. Breeze, no, way, no. Playoffs no wins first pick in the draft yes well five oh four I would challenge you to well challenge your opinion on this a little bit because. History actually tells us that it's not as hard as we might think if you have the depth and the talent across, the roster in place to win a Super Bowl with a backup quarterback Know, that's, not. A storyline and just thrown around a lot but in the history of the National Football League there have now been ten ten teams win a Super Bowl. With a backup quarterback and number's incredible that is one of about every five Super Bowls or one with a backup quarterback Here's the list. We saw last year with the Philadelphia Eagles and with Nick foles replacing Carson Wentz We had the patriots beating. The Rams in Super Bowl thirty. Six with Tom Brady super subbing for. Drew Bledsoe year before that so happened back to back years. Trent Dilfer Tony Banks was the starter there wasn't Dilfer, Dilfer was eight. Career journeyman a. Backup there he came in and the raven straddled the giants thirty four to seven Kurt, Warner the year before that people forget Kurt Warner wasn't the starter Trent. Green started the season for the. Ramps Kurt Warner comes in guidances team..
