Stolen Vehicles (MM #3856)

"The mason minute. With Kevin mason. Over the last couple of years, Nashville has seen a huge increase in stolen vehicles, where a growing city where the it city so an increase in stolen vehicles shouldn't be surprising. But that's not the part of it that surprises me most. The part I'm surprised with is how many people steal vehicles with small children strapped into baby seats in the back seat. So basically people are stealing vehicles with a child on board. It happened last week at a local Kroger store, a set of parents were shopping inside and had left the car running with the child strapped in outside the parking lot. Now that's just beyond boggling to me and I don't understand it, but it's not the first time anything like that has happened. Happens to gas stations all the time. People stop for gas or stop to go get cigarettes or whatever they're doing at the convenience store. Don't lock their doors, leave their car running and leave a baby in the back. It's not just stolen vehicles. It becomes stolen children. The good news so far, every one of those vehicles stolen has later been found with the child inside and the child okay. Very strange

But it's a sad state day for west tennessee At a at a kroger department store there's keeping kroger grocery store and This is a sad state of with. That's not what Are you there. I am yeah. i'm i show him. Oh i'm sorry I called about akron and arm me. You know. I think canceling the game with army is a disgrace. I think it's another feckless. Spineless move by the university of tennessee and as a longtime tennessee fan since childhood. I guess the good news is that my life sentences that long. But you know i just you know. When when my oldest son was at arizona. I went out there to see gramling play arizona because i want to be gramling band was worth the trip. And there's a lot of people that would come to neilan stadium armies yet another events just to see army play. Who won't come to see akron play. And frankly danny white and josh hypo are worried about losing to army next year in this big rebuilding era. There's then we do have the wrong coach. And we've got the raw athletic director at the university of tennessee. I it's spineless. I think it's feckless and frankly you know since since parents some it was forced to retire because of her medical situation I think tennessee athletics has lost. Its moral compass will william. I don't know all the circumstances but that's all we know right now and i haven't heard anyone yet Objective objectively agree with the decision. It's just it's just a bad. It's bad walk And it's and it's it's it's if it wasn't so obvious what's going on here it you know. Maybe we could say okay. Well that's not a bad opponent but you don't you. Don't cancel a game with with army with everything that that that that entails For a game against akron It's just it's pathetic. I agree with you well. A reasonable athletic department doesn't but the university of tennessee does. And i think it's a disgrace. And i'm really wish there was some way i could get the orange eta. "Ballpark and pick up Slim Jim and Mike sells potato chips at Kroger stores. Throughout Reds country. 700 WLW. It is just about time for baseball in Chicago. As the Reds and Cubs wrap up seasons play against each other back to regularly, we go now and with all the play by play, here's Tommy thrown All right. Thank you. Yet another beautiful night for baseball. We've got a pretty good breeze blowing from left to right here. Wrigley Field tonight and once again, the windy city living up to its reputation. Let's take a look at tonight's starting lineup for This series. Wrap up we begin with David Bells visiting Reds. The Reds are to tie for that second wild card spot after the Padres lost last night and the Reds one Reds are 74 66. Heating things up is the second baseman Jonathan Indian hitting second end in center field. Tyler Nay Quinn. Nick Castellanos plays right field. He bats third, batting fourth at first base. Joey Votto Mike Moustakas at third base bats, fifth. Six. The shortstop Kyle Farmer, Tucker Barnhart, catching bats, seventh, hitting eight the left fielder Matt Chirac and batting ninth, pitching Vladimir Gutierrez again for the Reds. It'll be India Quinn Castano's Votto Moustakas farmer. Heart Heart truck, and Gutierrez, now for Andy Green's Chicago Cubs course. They're managed by David Ross. He remains out. Quarantining with Covid. Cubs are 64 76 there in fourth place in the central Division 21 games back, leading off the center fielder Rafael Ortega. Frank Swindle snapped his eight game hit streak. Last night. He plays first base and bats, second, hitting third in left field, Ian Happ Willson Contreras will catch and bat fourth batting 5th and 3rd base, Patrick wisdom. Hitting six. The right fielder Jason Heyward, batting seventh, the second baseman David Body. Hitting eight the shortstop Sergio Up Contra and pitching and batting ninth. Alec Mills again for the Cubs. It'll be Ortega swindle Hap. Contreras, Wisdom Hayward Body Al Contra and Mills, Alec Mills pitching Least once again to be joined by Chris Welch. I'm Tommy throw great to be with you tonight from Wrigley Field in Chicago. Alex Mills, Chris comes in with a even six and six record. The Reds have face him twice this year. When he has started, Reds beat him both times. This is a guy that really doesn't have a lot of flash, but when he's on he can. He can beat you because he seems to have pretty good command, a pretty good idea what he wants to do Well, they better have good command because he doesn't throw very hard, but I would call him a garden variety right hander with a limited upside. As far as as below. In fact, he's one of the slowest pitchers in the league will get to that later on, but he's legitimately has five or six different pitches. He's got good command and his his games always tried to get the hitter a little bit off balance. So they hit it on the end of the bat rather than swing and miss it. Jonathan India hit his fifth leadoff home run of the year last night. He leads off here standing in Reds and Cubs. Hope you enjoy it. Let's play first pitches, a called strike on the outside corner and east to India and were underway and one Count on Jonathan India game getting started right on time at 6 40 this evening. Here's the one pitch, Sandy just off the outside corner, One ball and one strike. Mills loves to live down there lowing away all night long..

No no it is not. It's a licensed medical professional. Yes perhaps nurse may be right is are they nurses or is it just something like you're assist gave it to you right. I got no problem with that. It's just most times. i'm just saying times. I'm satisfied with whatever the pharmacist gives me. Yes if he puts on a white coat. It's it's basically now it's official. Yes just put this on to make me feel like a real professional is doing this put the white smock on and we're good to go. So you got it going on and we appreciate you so much. Joining us on the show. Thank you both so much. I appreciate it. Okay. Time for some good news. Well, the guy in Virginia named Louis Korea started a group called the Birthday Brigade that travels around and throws socially distance parties for kids. Now thrown over 200 of them in the past five months. He was on the Today show earlier this week and talked about how it all got started way have a four year old. We always go big for birthdays and My wife and I were talking about how we were so happy that we're able to squeeze her birthday and before the quarantine, and then it occurred to us. Oh my gosh. There's a neighborhood full of 500 families, and there's gonna be plenty of kids that won't be able to have a birthday, so we wanted to do something special for them. Well, they've certainly done that. That's for sure. Super Cool story. LaShonda Williams works at the Kroger Store in Nashville. But last year she was homeless and assistant manager saw her sleeping in her car in the parking lot. I told her about a job there that was coming up the shot to get pretty emotional about it in an interview the other day and said, it's changed her whole life. She's asleep right over here in a parking lot. Open this area right here. I was talking to her. And when she came back, she said, you're hired and that's to stop playing. And she's like, No. You're hired and I cried in her arms and my body. Just like collapse. This one game in the story and I remember way pray. I said I promised to give you my best. But I never knew there sleeping out here. And it is something to eat with Lando. I am now there is some good news out there. You just have to dig a little deeper. "Today we are jumping in there's another episode that is a hall episode. So today's the Aldy Hall. GonNa make the joke, the hall yeah. I know I always make the joke it's I. Think I'm over the joke. Brought it back. I love all the all the is actually a new discovery for me, and now I describe it as like a less expensive trader Joe's. Isn't that kind of what it's like pretty much which is crazy because trader Joe's is already inexpensive. Like yeah. It's like the dollar store trader joes well, I. Mean the last time I said it was like smartandfinal meets the dollar store and some people got upset about that comparison. But like I love the dollar store and by the way, people need to know that the food that you get at the dollar store is not older expired in some cases it's a lot of big brands that are specifically making foods for the dollar store. So I don't know that but I a big fan of the dollar store. So I take that as a compliment if somebody would say that anyway, that's just me. But today we are going through a whole bunch of products I went to all the last week. I purchased don't know like nine hundred item. So. A lot of the stuff that I bought were holding off in a few more weeks. We'll do it all the hall I'm GonNa. Go back to all the fill it out. But I, I mean I literally got like fifteen things and we're going to try one, seven, eight, eight of them today. It's going to be tough for me to not eat that one thing that's in the bag that we're gonNA wait on because it just I can I look at it every day and I wanna eat it I'm guessing it's peanut butter flavored Jamie please hide this from him. It'd be having other PB item today. It's a little bit of a weird. I am I'm actually really excited with that one. So I'm excited about everything today zero. All right. So before we jump in and start eating everything in sight Mike, what you got. Are you ready for your new favourite fall drink? Viva Seltzer has just come out with a new flavor. Do you WANNA guess. So it's fall themed. So the is it the I think it's V. visit. Oh, it's. I don't know. Could. Use this Jamie what does it looks like the va I don't know. Whatever you want to her five. The new flavor is pumpkin spice. So it's a hard seltzer pumpkin spice flavors. It looks like right now it's only being sold at Kroger Stores and Kentucky Tennessee and Ohio. But I'm sure we'll go nationwide wouldn't go nationwide. By, the way I don't know if you know this but the vive or. Whatever it's called their heart seltzer drinks or one hundred calories and two grams of carbs. Yeah. That's not bad except the only bad part of that is hard. Seltzer Gross. That's my. I don't I am not a fan and the the idea of like a pumpkin spice flavor that sounds terrible to me. Might be harsh right now no I feel like the only excuse for a pumpkin spice flavored cocktail as if it's like a frozen sweet. Type of like creating. Yes. Creamy. So the article that I that I read this from, they got a taste of it and they said it's amazing like it's and they thought the same thing like it would be terrible and they loved it so. I will give it a try I'm GONNA give it the benefit of. And a our little community of Woodland Hills is in the news like big time in the news Amazon fresh. The one that we have that we've been getting our deliveries from there finally, opening it up to walk in customers. It's the first in the country like no other Amazon, fresh stores allowing customers walk inside except for ours right now. And it's by appointment only I guess you have to go on and make an appointment. And, the store does have cashiers but they they encourage you to use their dash cart our showing Jamie this the other day. So it's a cart with a screen on it and every time you pick up an item, you scan the item on the car and then charges you on your Amazon Account. So I'm imagining it to punch in your code or something when you get get the cart. And I'm not, GonNa go to any stores as of it on my comfortable yet. But I don't know might be something you might WanNa check out judgy when you say You might want to go into a store. That sounds cool. I. The thing I know about Amazon fresh is that whenever I order anything, there's like for every item, there's like eighty eight pieces of packaging. It's like they wrap everything in plastic and in cooler bag, and then in a brown bag and then box. But maybe if you go to the store, you won't get all the packaging but I'm excited actually so I will check it out

If you may've that has not been talked about much which is Sales Marketing and supply chain those are areas which have amazing amount of opportunity in terms of the data. That is flowing thumbs off the deputy of tasks that can be automated the opportunities in those areas and a lot of top tier companies automated and end apply to improve their sales efficiency marketing efficiency and supply chain efficiency when starting with dog companies like Amazon. Yeah well obviously the Amazon is pretty. Well aggregating this whole space That certainly your guys focused as well so you wanted to knuckle down on the sales and kind of supply chain side of things here grieve. You're voting off to. I'd love to if we could start with sales. That'd be cool because I'll be honest with you. When it comes to e commerce I would everybody thinks of and probably where most of the action in is with a I and I think you'd probably this yourself is going to be on the marketing on the consumer purchasing side? Right what offers in my face. How big is the button? How does it show up on these different devices? What kind of e mail campaigns do I get right? It's a consumer clicking a button in swiping their visa. But you're talking about sales. Where do you see sales playing into the mix of common? Where does get in there? That's a that's a great question. So let's let's start off before we get into the application of AI. Let's just spend a few seconds to think about how sales sales is enabled on ECOMMERCE shirt. Accompany like Kellogg's are a kimberly-clark if you are to sell products that so you're selling die. buzzer selling curiel cereal boxes. How do you sell howdy enables sales teams on? How do you sell on retail outlets whether it be e commas whether whether it be a kroger store Walmart store? Typically what happens for decades out there for a century from a sales standpoint Kellogg's along our kimberly-clark is employing a top negotiator. The hiding from an Ivy League and like an NBA and teach them how to Gauthier Arkansas are Cincinnati to have a conversation and negotiation with Walmart are a kroger over dinner table and they have a process called the joint business. Plan talk through a number of options to invest on. How how can I buy all these The majority of the space that is dead in the diaper Iowa. The cereal of your store. Can I get the space right next to the cashier's without doesn't impose Opportunity things of that nature. All of these things have been traditionally done and balking century for decades in for more than a century in a setting which is a human to human interaction's our cable. So now let's flip order. Twenty twenty majority of sales sales which is happening on e commerce does not happen that way in fact if you enter Amazon our copier ECOMMERCE and growing companies like Walmart Dot. Palm are are Instead God another. You don't have people on the other side who can have conversations and Negotiate these these deals in fire. The language of this speak is dot of data. They would expose for instance Amazon exposes a bunch of data files through a Puerto. And if your Kellogg's you're expected logging into a portal figured out. How sales happening which sealed boxes are selling more on and not wait? Am I getting the right. Customer Feedback House might rent. Doing supply efficiency everything is codified in Puerto inside and communicated the data. So if I'm Kellogg's might old ways of human to human interaction's completely breakdown because guess what does not human on on the other side. What do you do so that element of sales has a seismic shift as a huge disruptive? Change that is happening right now. The market where sales needs to be completely codified into a machine. That's probably what we call out. Intelligence right yeah. So interesting. Listing big dynamic. So I'll just kind of try to sum this up then we can poke into the AI. Part I appreciate you kind of I guess setting the table for the topic. I think a lot of people do associate sales with the old old school song and dance. Bring a briefcase. I buy you a Scotch I ask you about your kids and then I talked about. Can I get this floorspace. Can you buy this kind of quantity. Not what do I gotTa do to have you purchase our product instead of general mills. You know whatever the case may be right but you're talking about now Amazon Amazon a platform. So the only thing that they're vendors are going to see sort of dashboards and that this is now changing the game on on how we do business do sales. How do you sell to a dashboard board in other words? What is now sales replaced with? So that's Let me think about selling into a company with speaking the language of data which is selling to a dashboard. You don't think about applying negotiation tactics from an from a human perspective. But can you a blind negotiation tactics using Using data so for instance. If I know that you're under sodded on a sudden which is getting to be an important key? What on your website aside? Let's say for instance Kito Cereal Boxes Keita's attending dumb and people eat cereal so they're searching for Kito cereal now if the industry does not have house keep those cereal. It's opportunity for you to identify those items in your assortment. which have the right ingredients and stock marketing outselling those items against those keywords on an overall basis as you mentioned if you're a salesperson Trying to get your products into a store. A stores a very deterministic concept offline. Would you walk into a serial and that's it. You'll find your cheerios. You sign find a gentleman's Products you find everything that needs to be there in that one. I'll when you walk into the e commerce store and I say walk in with a quote Unquote Ya. Am you walk in you walk. In using search thumbs and these search dumps could be a combination of keywords that type in it could be lane lane on cereal boxes could breakfast. Cereal could be snack. BOC CEREAL KITO cereal organic cereal. What would maybe there could be thousands of such keywords which make up the quote unquote digital? I'll now it's up to you as a brand to figure out where should I sell. And and how should I sell. which products do promote? which products do I given incentive for the shop or through a coupon and things of that nature and if if you think about the explosion of combinations that has happened over there? You've got thousands of key woods and save a few hundred products that you sell and you have essentially do that matching and start to push them the right level so that you're able to maximize that are done on your sale. Spend and trade spending such available due to drive. Maximum profitable sales on ECOMMERCE website

"And offering it to them at an affordable price that's how capitalism works but the left does not believe that they believe a top down approach it's unbelievable I want to think about this I was in a Kroger store last night Saturday night doing a little bit shopping I going to Kroger store late at night about nine or ten PM here in Cincinnati I'm walking up and down the aisle there's thousands and thousands and thousands of different products I it's one of the managers I said can you give me some rough estimate how many individual type products are in large Kroger store and she said there's about a hundred thousand products here it is unbelievable in each of those products represents a person a man or a woman striving to meet your need to achieve their second success at a very low price because if you can't afford it the entrepreneur is going to go out of business and losing someone else to take their place the government cannot do that the government's not in that business so it is purely it is not purely altruistic since capitalism depends on the natural is our people to better their lives but a channels that desire and a focusing on the needs of others you can make any product any service you wanted no one can afford to buy it nobody wants to guess what you're out of business it's the benevolence of capitalism over communism or progressive socialism that is succeeded where his socialism worked has it worked in Venezuela there's a story on fox tonight about the a columnist who lived in Venezuela for over the past twenty years and every year that one by weather show Bessemer duro got incrementally worse every year an energy without energy no modern even nineteen forties or fifties economy whatever work you can't be in Detroit with half the street lights going off on a regular basis you can't be in Detroit when there's no reliable phone service you can't be in Detroit when crime is rampant and there's a non educated workforce we can't fill jobs and the twenty first century it doesn't work and he can't work you can't be in California when your lights go off and on based upon the whim of paging any and others when paging Anne is not competently run and secondly what's going on is that the Democrats and socialists demand environmental goals the domain make any economic sense SO P. Jeannie at any one point is ten thousand lawsuits pending against them for all kinds of reasons twenty percent of every new energy plant must have green as part of their gold which doesn't satisfy can't be done so the stories out of California the P. G. unit the P. G. and others are saying for the next ten years this will be a regular event they can't make the products necessary electricity for example at a price that the average consumer can afford without using natural gas and many of the regulators have said in the future you can't use natural gas of course not nuclear and of course not coal and of course not meant that you can't use any fossil fuels it's got to be produced with solar power and also windmills it can work there's not enough feed the signs that exist I wish it did I wish there were those darn di lithium crystals that suddenly and power us and infinitely maybe cold fusion reactors at some point but until that happens that industry also puts to work literally millions of people here we are in the middle of November of twenty nineteen this is the best time in American history ever to have lived there six million jobs that can't be filled right now if you get lost somewhere Google map and you're right there you have access to the greatest availability of knowledge in the history of the world it's today average wages are going up about three percent a year under trump the stock market is at an all time high it's wonderful except when you listen to the mainstream media or the Democrats and these are the worst of times ever drove lived much like this article from this Venezuelan said when they had massive blackouts starting for five years ago it was all blamed on the Americans when trump got elected it was trump trump did not not there micromanaging of the power going to Venezuela that cause massive lawlessness and blackouts now what's happening in California following the principles of Venezuela master imagine going through an hour after hour a massive power failures because of the inability of socialist to properly manage the power grid imagine that's across America imagine a high taxes what's a rose regulations no middle John middle class job creation the prisons are overflowing there's no teaching happening in the public schools and that's what's going to happen that's why there's refugees coming out of California to Nevada they want to get out but please don't bring with you your politics so let's continue and this morning man I there were rumors about teller sin and Kelly that we're not confirmed until today with Nikki Haley's interview on CBS not from the get go teller sin and others Kelly who's a retired four star commandant worked under mine and a and last her eight and I would assume many other high officials in the end it resisting what the president wanted to do and look what he stills gotten done you know if the only vote in America next November would be cops firefighters and military personnel retired and current trouble get elected by sixty five percent but the media will not let you vote because they want him out of office as Democrats have said if we don't impeach or remove him yes what he's going to get reelected look at the candidates the Democrats said you would you like Nancy Pelosi in charge of the house Chuck Schumer charges Senate and may be senator Bernie Sanders the socialists as the president would you want that in Stacey Abrams as the vice president from Georgia is that what you want I would hope the answer would be no such as no the answer would be hell no it is not have a fair shot in the first three years imagine a very good then have one arm tied behind his back for trump could have accomplished if you if you can't work for the man resigned go outside both those guys well at least in television's case he's rich John Kelly who is a patriot who served well and his son died in Iraq so that guy has sacrificed greatly for this country he should have known if I can't work from my commander in chief I am resigning they go outside the organization say this is what happened I'm outside but don't work inside the organization to ruin your chain of command does not make sense to a military person I certainly hope not let's continue one becomes available eight six six six four seven seven three three seven let's go to Nathan in Tennessee that the Titans continue to roll Nathan in Tennessee welcome to the bill Cunningham show Nathan how are you talk with your mom with you so very much for that really enjoyed what you had to say thank you you're right the patent played well but they have an amazing game I'm a combat better not from ninety nine to two thousand three and in light short time frame yeah that we you know about my father's day and you know how we played with the late for let them talk about how great this country right now not only help the bedridden because of all the negativity that's out there it's so hard for me to see the crap going on what we're worth it and there all we're all working hard they can't to tear down the country that we lock that we grew up you know working for striving for sacrificing port and and with him victims are not up there the new the card I can tell a self made man who had no other agenda the given topic other than help the country and what this country he didn't have to be president he didn't have to go into politics to become wealthy all is well he didn't have to do anything else he could stand on his **** but we're not done I have to clear about this country but he did it all on the line he is doing what it claims to expose the corpse in the top there we want some sort of gold to wear every nightmare come quickly we and the only thing that that I know of that that's keeping that from happening DOT almighty as I watched hi Donald Trump junior on last Sunday night I watching with mark live in the night that guy's wonderful because he said if if Eric ally had gone to some company in the Ukraine and was paid eighty three thousand dollars a month and and when we didn't speak good English and did not understand any about the subject matter of natural gas and oil inside the Ukraine the Democrats The Washington Post would be crazy if my father had left Beijing and ten days later my brother I walked away with one point five billion dollars that we didn't learn that's called influence peddling and every time this is brought up it happen again this morning with Chuck Todd that's at the bottom the punk dead at what point was that the boat what right now we have massive investigations of the trump family well our third both the gauges of what happened how to Nancy Pelosi accumulate fifty million dollars are well how to Maxine waters going to Congress broken now she lives in a four and a half million dollar home how come under but now is a multi millionaire one is no marketable job skills except his last name why can't somebody as hunter Biden what did you do for eighty two thousand dollars a month for that or abridgement company and cranking it tells what you did they they they the Democrats have determined that those who support the president can't call witnesses and they can't cross examine the state's witnesses because that's wrong the American people names are going to buy this right now what we're living in the greatest time in the history of the world to live is right now in the United States of America but to watch the media and watch the Democrats talk there's like the dark ages reporter the black plague descends upon us and it's ridiculous we live in a great time because the men and women like you make them that said take me one percent of us less than one percent of a server and except for individuals like you we were lost World War one we would head deep problems across many other combat battle field and this is the first president in my lifetime who's not looking to spend more money and more lives in blood overseas which is exactly what Hillary data brokers saying a bomb a dead and George Bush did in Clinton did and the only successful we've had in the past seventy years of World War two and ever since then we have a lot of damn thing because we can't win and the reason we can't win this the media and the Democrats will lotus one so that's the case come home spend money on American problems and right now we have a good president being undermined not just by Democrats in the media but why don't Republicans it's unbelievable we recorded all I don't I I can't even believe but what we're looking at it it's mind blowing nearly as but bill I really appreciate thank you thank you for all that you've heard god bless you Sir you have a great less American thinking was continue with more step back and look at this thing flip the coin what president at least in the last seven years I can give you numbers examples that called foreign leaders and said we're going to do this but you got to do that we're going to do this and you got to do that it happens all the time when Obama did it with the open Mike with Medvedev about the missiles in Eastern Europe that was no big deal at all what have bush and Cheney wire tapped the Obama campaign and undermine him the first several months in office it would be hell to pay but when trump does it it's like all my gosh this is the first time this has ever happened one American president or some American official ID Hillary Clinton and the Russians try to get dirt on a political opponent and link it to the media what happens all the time it's a regular event but one trump does it it's a felony but he can't call witnesses and I can't cross examine ours just trust me Adam ship trust me and if things are so rough in California why is in Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff and senator Feinstein and Kamal Heris weren't there there thanks again the problems in California and leaving the hell us alone forty nine minutes after the hour bill Cunningham live with you every Sunday night newsradio.

"Attention to any of this. jump on board. over. guns and here we are you know your mind god you're much there everybody's trying to completely humor this is. the Lester's talking about crazy stuff about we gotta do something then all the sudden retailers golf we don't really agree with them but we we want people to keep coming at her shop and let's. I will say that we grew it's it's disgusting scholastic. by the way are you gonna stop carrying a firearm and Kroger a kia or anywhere else that says a gun free zone or are you stepped on can't do it openly. no I just posted a meet up with a color medium. Kim young girl standing at the cashier you your foods the surreal stuff there and actually looks like a maybe a whole foods I'm not sure but it says why would I want to open carrier in a Kroger store. then at the bottom it says because I'm twenty I'm not old enough to legally conceal carry twenty two people were just killed in Walmart yeah I get that I get that anyway I'm there are next walking down the hatch. cat's cradle I mention that right after running a cat's cradle let's move on shall we. last night much a psychotic. Democrats front stage and they were being broadcast live. this is soon end up. they were talking about taxing carbon got a tax cut we don't tax coverall gonna die now they also want to ban fracking not making this up there were banned fracking we'll get to more crazy things in a minute here but of possible exception of former vice president Joe Biden who agreed last night a second debate that he would eliminate fracking what. and former hud secretary Julian Castro who would back bands at state and local levels all the Democrats want to ban the one innovation has made the greatest difference for our planet the last twenty years. a power the economic recovery means less dependent on the Middle East so they want to get rid of fracking not somebody said today I'm coming show. have somebody on a radio on who was was it something about do you think they're doing this because they they know that it's crazy I don't remember how it was worded above average but did you did they think they want to do it because they really believe the science that this is bad we have to get rid of it or do you think they know it's not but they want to get rid of it to somehow harm the United States and whoever the guest was came from the perspective that the they just don't know and I would say there's some truth to that. they've bought into the pseudo science they they look at it is that's the real education and they're not necessarily coming out of some of them from we got a we have to crush the United States economy in order to make the United States and in in line with the Frankfurt school what. yeah along with the Frankfurt Frankfurt school was a ballroom dancing academy. right. anyway the Frankfurt school and what we have to do is we got to go along with crushing America because from the ashes a mighty socialist Phoenix will rise that's what that's all about and so that's what they're doing here don't tell test and okay these are these are the people that cap the oil wells off cocina barber and off the east coast as well and don't forget the psychotic at the top of the heap criminal elite those are the people that will run the socialist regime that I don't want no when males by their houses the Kennedys made sure no when mills would happen in offshore there outside by their their compound at all know that we can put the by the little people will put that over to little people's house. yeah. so what that's how they're going to do it's going to be all. what the hell renewables which is absurd. ban fracking that's what they're running a guess who's going to vote for these people. a large part your grandchildren and your and your right your kids yeah well they're gonna go from there they've been educated by these clouds. and so they they buy all the stuff number three ending oil and gas exploration and extraction on public lands in other words let's tie up a whole bunch of land that we can't use for anything it's so pretty what does look at it but wait we need to build a make gasoline no. we're gonna we're gonna ban or taken off the truck off of the table the Obama administration tried it too never mind that some public lands have been specifically set aside for oil and gas development No Way Out stop that seems to be little thought about the impact that would have on the US economy yeah they don't come with US economy they're trying to crush a fuel prices and national security not to mention that the comfort and well being of you and your family yeah yeah very human terms you and your family that's not important. nor is any credit given for industry advances environmentally friendly technology except as a warrant for more regulation. so this is all. but this is what transpired last night this is the Democrat candidates are all in unison brain about we've got to get rid of any type of fossil fuel whatsoever all. now if you're going to get rid of fossil fuel. what do you put into its place they what rules they want when they want solar. the other one nuclear no no that's point four I want to ban nuclear energy. half of the vada before state. when the twenty twenty primary contests in mind most of the candidates objected to nuclear energy because of challenges around nuclear waste storage only businessmen Andrew gang and senator Cory Booker offer defenses of nuclear power as a zero emissions alternative of Booker making the obvious argument if you believe we need to reduce emissions quickly nuclear is the only way we don't need to reduce emissions quickly nuclear yeah let's do it and as far as getting rid of waste it comes with the territory there's No Way Out of it. this is a the wave of the present and now the future number five they talk about banning plastic struck it before we get into this. banning plastics process is as absurd as on the other side of this they they want to get rid of plastic straws but they let people have plastic syringes on the streets of San Francisco the fact that was a TV show starring Carl Mauldin Michael Douglas junior it was plastic syringes in the streets of San Francisco I remember watching that I was living out there when they were filming that and I remember driving around and all of a sudden all man I can't get there from here because our black in the streets are for that television show room anyway it was kind of interesting actually saw Michael Douglas in a scene as I was trapped in traffic and he was running out and day a he was he did something with the hood of a car and then they they caught me went back in the building actually caught that but anyway I digress. been in plastic straws. discouraging meet eliminating incandescent light bulbs center Camilla Harris was last night admitted that plastic straws are use useless. but once the van the plastic ones anyway was it me she says they're useless. she said she looks a cheese burger every now and then to we'll get to that just a second I have made my peace with these new fangled LED light bulbs I'll like on all man you know they they you such little energy not.

"S. let's get the latest now with fox thirty ones drew angle bart T. joins us live drew this started with Walmart and now it's moved on to a a company in Colorado that has a lot of Colorado retailers right. good morning at maple that correct Kroger the parent company of king soopers they're now asking customers not to carry guns into stores even in states where open carry is legal you know that is the case you're in Colorado open Kerry is legal however that's not the case and Denver county there's an exemption for that law in Denver county now this request come just hours after Walmart on Tuesday made a similar announcement that it would end the failed of some firearms and ammunition as well now Kroger once again the parent company of king soopers that the most popular chain that they have you're in Colorado they stop selling guns the last year now they're they're also going to call on Monday lawmakers Kroger is that the companies have have gun reform laws such as requiring stronger background check my ad how are they going to enforce this new request at this point it's kind of a wait and see yeah you'll see outside a Walmart store they have signs outside that says please don't carry firearms once again even in the open cherry St into our stores but it's a wait and see on how they're going to enforce this at the Kroger stores do I know it's a really have you heard any reaction yet from customers. have not you know king soopers were added that just on Colorado Boulevard but once again Denver county does not have that open Terry law it'll be interesting to see a are they going to enforce it so much as asking folks believe or is it just going to be a sign out front of the store it said please don't bring your guns inside good questions true thanks for the time. you got it from five thirty one two angle but reporting guns a hot topic at last night's Douglas county school board meeting a charter school in the district is opting to leave after a move by the administration that allows teachers or to allow teachers. excuse me the extra the administration is banning teachers from being armed this parents spoke out against the move. I don't support teachers being arm. students are safer in only three and. as one commenter mentioned. classrooms can be distracting teacher can turn his or her back for a moment. get a hold of a gun. my main concern so the decision was made last night by the board to lead a sense classical academy apply for Colorado charter school status that move would allow the academy to be funded directly by the states in Aurora the search for hit and run driver.

"Talk before we get out of here today about this tragic tragic story from Kroger that man who walks into the Kroger store kid is twelve years old. He is shopping for poster board with his grandpa for a school project, and this guy, Gregory Bush. He guns down grandpa, and then goes out in the parking lot and shoots somebody else. And we're we're trying to figure out how do you? I I understand the again what the law is. How do you ever let this guy out? How do you ever let this guy walk the streets. Again. I guess that's that's the thing that I am most concerned about and I understand that. Clearly, he he has some issues we had any O'Connell rule yesterday. Missile Connell is a Jefferson County, Circuit Judge. She ruled yesterday that Gregory Bush is not competent to stand trial on these state charges. But she says that he could regain competency. We're talk about that in just a couple of minutes here to let's go to Dave. Thanks for joining us on NewsRadio. Eight forty W H A S. Yeah. You're right here. Okay. I just had a thought one one is. Fatty like personal responsibility thrown out the window. What do we do on our end? When we in the event that we do get pulled over we should those guys out on on every day and put their life on the line. So we should kill them respect. And math is you know, what do they want us to do? They want me to get out of the car. They won't be put my hand on the scaring wheel. You know? Why would we not put some parameters around that maybe added to the driving cat? My daughter just had to drive in cats. There. You know, what do you do for the police on the side of the road? Do you get over paying lane? The you know, and let's hit some parameters. So that when he had entered it you get pulled over it makes it a lot easier on the police when he's trying to do job. Do it. Right. Well, you know, the only an, and I don't know about you. But the only interactions I've ever had the police with the police the only interactions. I've ever really have been positive have been non-confrontational. I really have not had. I've not had a problem. Now, you could say well. Yeah, joe. But you're you know, you're an old fat white guy. You're not you're not a, you know, you're you're not a young African American man. I mean, I get that. And I understand, but at the same time, I do think that we all want to try to defuse situations as as much as we can. I just I guess the other thing I would say is. And I do understand there are times when when the police have have acted incorrectly. And we've we know we've all been aware of those videos, and and I'm not standing up for. For any policeman bad actors. Okay, I have no interest in doing anything, but holding police accountable when they when they screw things up at the same time. I really do. Appreciate the fact that they're out there every day putting their lives on the line and doing the best that they can are there. Some who have been out of control. Yes. I mean, clearly the answer to that question is. Yes that that you know, that does happen. I just I want to be able to to stop the ba-. I think we all want to be able to stop the bad guys. The question is we we really don't know how to do that. But I do know that when you put yourself in dangerous positions, some really bad things can happen to you too. So it's really hard to know. Exactly how how to do this. Are there are there too? Many black kids who are being shot. Yes. Yes. There's no question about that. If one gets shot, that's too many if anybody get shot. That's that's too many. Obviously, we don't want any of that to happen. Everybody's trying to find a solution. David you're on NewsRadio eight forty W H S. Hello. Hello. You know, you watch all these reality shows of cops and live PD and everything like that. And you hear the policemen say all the time, you know, we're patrolling in a high crime area and and things like that. And. People don't I mean, the police chief doesn't want to believe that the West End is a high crime area. So I mean, I, you know, these guys are out there working their butts off in protecting themselves. I mean, there are certainly parts town that are working others period. Well, I might wanna believe today's Christmas. But it's not. And you know, we can believe whatever we want to believe. But I mean, I don't think the numbers lie, and I'm not I'm not picking anybody this. This is not I'm not talking about race or anything else. If you just look at the numbers, we know there are some some high crime areas that that we really need to deal with that point my call agree. Yeah. It's thank you. And I think it's a very difficult thing for the chief. First of all, I don't think there's anything that. That's. I think it will be a lot of rank and file who are going to be upset with chief. And I totally get that. And I don't think in today's climate how many police chiefs are going to be that are going to. I think the rank and file my sense is just talking to some police officers that the rank and file feel very differently about all this other chief will say, no, that's really not true where we're more together than we are divided. And he may be right about that. I like the chief. I think the chief is smart guy. I think the chief is is doing the best he can. And I think he does realize that he's got a lot of different political factions and don't kid yourself. There's a lot of politics in this. He's got a lot of political factions to try to make happy at the same time. He's trying to keep the city you save as he possibly can. So I think whoever has this job. Has a really difficult job. There's no doubt about that. Five seven one eight four four eight hundred four four four eight four eight four. All right. So this Gregory Bush guy who walked into this Kroger last October and shot these two people. I think it's pretty clear why he shot them shot them because they were black charged with crimes there's going to be a follow up hearing that is scheduled in late July about this basis to charges of counts of murder. And charges of wanting endangerment charge of attempted murder as well. Pleaded not guilty to those charges. Is he in fact competent to stand trial? That is the question you had a doctor testify. That he in fact has some real problems. He has been banging his head against the wall. He has had fought with other patients he has. Exhibited some real issues is there schizophrenia problem or something? I really don't know. Dr Tim Allen testified yesterday that he valuated Mr Bush. Said that while he may not be competent to stand trial now. That he likely would be able to in the future. Now, the he's going to be as I understand it forced to take some medications, which he did not want to take take any blood pressure. Medication didn't want to take any medication for any psychotic behavior to take any medication. Didn't feel like he needed it. Well, this is going to be mandated by the courts. So now, Mr Bush is going to take medication. Now, he could face the death penalty for all of this. What happens if a guy simply is not competent to stand trial, you give him medication. He becomes competent to stand trial. What do you do you keep him on medication throughout the trial after the trial? He doesn't want to take the medication. I don't think there's much doubt that he clearly needs the medication. My my question about this is outta we. How do we end up at the point where this guy never walks out of some facility, again, this guy who we know has shot to people and would have killed others went to an African American church before he he went to Kroger would've killed other people if he could it's likely that he would have killed other people if he could. How do we not let this guy walk? That's my question. How do we how do we detain this guy? So that he does not cause this kind of problem again, you know, I still have that image of that twelve year old kid in my head who saw his grandfather being shut down for absolutely no reason and him pleading for help can I use your phone. Can I use your phone? My Grandpa's been shot. Think about that kid, and I think about what he has gone through and think about what his life must be. And all the trust issues and all the other things that this kid has got a face for the rest of his life. I think about what this guy cost this kid. Not to mention his family in his community cetera et cetera. But I can't help focusing on this kid, and how difficult it must be for that little boy. And how my heart absolutely goes out to him. Imagine. It's a school project. He's doing poster they're looking for poster board. And some guy comes in and just shoots. His grandfather down. He sees grant sees grandpa die right in front of him. How do we keep this guy from walk in the streets? Again. That's my question. Of course, I want to do it legally cetera at how do we keep this guy? From being declared everything's fine. And we're going to we're gonna we're going to trust this guy to be okay. Again. I don't think we can do that. All right comment. I'd love to hear from you five seven one eight four eight four eight hundred four four four eight four eight four. Went way overtime. Let's take a break. We're coming right back.
