"You know what I mean? That were very sexist or whatever, because I thought, you know, that's fun. And I love it. It's just a way to express yourself too, but you can't actually do it, you know, because what we did was we sold those to raise money, right? And so it is one of those things where you can do something creative, have an outlet and also benefit a cause and do something good. I love it. And women have been doing this all along. Even if it's with bake sales, right? Oh yeah. Known for our bake sales, right? And are we doing it just because we're like big so is our fun and I love baking, like, well, yeah, sure, maybe, but also we're using what we love to do. So I'm a better baker than I'm a crafter. Baking to raise money for our schools. We know women do this. We just didn't call that activism, but it absolutely is activism. Right. I wonder if there's like misogyny tied into that or something. It couldn't be qualified as activism because it was through a female gaze. I mean, probably not, right? Well, that's okay. It can be like covert activism. So I love that. The second undercover form of activism where they think we're just baking cookies and sewing and really we're like taking over the world. Over the last thousand years. What Christina Wong has managed to do with bringing all these people together to so masks using how that ties in traditionally with her culture and stuff like that super, super interesting. I'm so excited. And jealous, you got a chance to talk to her. On that note, we're going to take a quick break and then after that, we'll have my interview with Christina Wong. And interestingly, I had to interview her for my office at the state House because we are in special session right now. So be sure to stick around for that interview coming.

"And I think it's entering when you listen to the history of unions and union organizing and getting change, you saw big chains start to happen when especially you had union members who are white and black come together, but that is also when you had uprisings happen against it that started from the company owners who didn't want them to come together. And I think that also reminds me a little bit of what happened with Obama. I don't think it was Obama. I think what happened when Obama got elected, you had a lot of black people in a lot of white people came together, saying we want change and man did that piss a whole lot of people off to finally see that this group coalesce and come together, which is exactly what happened in a lot of these mill towns that Heather made he talks about. When they came together, that's when you had this small uprising violently come and squash it because we have to keep these groups separate. So that they don't coalesce to create this greater good for them, getting rid of the power structure for the field. Oh yeah. Everybody, if you have not read the sum of us by Heather Mickey, please please please, please, please read it, check out the podcast episode that she was on. It's the only one we've ever rereleased because it's such an important conversation. I think she was on with us in June. Right. So just make sure if you have not yet had the opportunity to read that, get the audiobook, Heather, narrates it. That's what I did. Hard recommend, please, please, please read that book. But I had the strangest experience happen over the weekend. We got, you know, not to spoil my toaster joy, but my son got his first COVID vaccine on Saturday. And afterward, we took him to finally get his hair cut because he looked like a mom. So he went just to like a super cut, and there was a woman sitting in the chair and she's talking to her hairstylist, and she's talking about the Virginia election and what specifically happened and loudon county. From a Republican perspective, right? Your ears were like, keep talking? Oh, yeah, I was like, please, I wait for this. This is the best thing that could possibly happen to me. But she was talking about how, you know, this assault happened at loudon county and it was a trans person who did it, and it was their fault. And the father just went to the school board to try to get some help, you know, and they escorted him out of there and arrested him. And it's like, oh my God, this is why they win. This is why they went. Because it just sound if you don't know. It sounds so reasonable, right? Right. And seeing that play out in real time was very interesting, but also a little terrifying. Yeah. So it's just we have to we have to keep talking about it. Yeah..

To sex droughts date fails diaper fetishes. And i moves to first loves. I'm your host. You issue former. Dating coach turned dating sociologists. You also hear from my co host and producer. Julie craft check as we explore this crazy dateable world. Hello dateable welcome to another episode of the database. Podcast where we examine. What's happening modern day day. Who's doing what who's doing. Who why are they doing it. That's up so gossipy now. A reality tv series. We're week we dissect the story of one person. This is a copy of reality tv series. Lisa's hooking up with greg. And you're like who are they and i'll just say my neighbors. It's just like random gossip with people you don't even know this is our offshoot. This is our areas are ratings. Are going to be really high but i think are y'all will like this one. This one's evolved astrology are personality tests episode. Did really well. And i think astrology those topics that maybe some people don't wanna that they read their horoscope. And you know. Study this stuff. But i think it's really cool and there's something to be said about the study of astrology. I've definitely gotten sucked into astrology. Take talk where it's like. Only i've ever like someone asking me. What do you see. Take because it's all based off the algorithm of what. You're looking at and embarrassed to admit that i a lot of strategy todd coming out but what i'd like to say is this conversation. We have with christina. I feel like tick-tock astrology is just skimming the surface yet went so much deeper than the bustle articles or the thought catalog articles of. I'll look at of. What is your side who are compatible with so. I'm glad that we dug deeper. Because i don't know i think some of that's like guilty. Pleasure sometimes comforting to read it. But i always was like. How much weight do i give this. But i feel like she just went layers. Deep of this episode it's astounding to realize that there is a whole other world of astrology that we don't even know about and you can devote your entire lifetime to learning more and more about it. It's the stars as a universe however is related and connected so it makes sense so many layers chew astrology. Well i think one of the things we talk about the cheap brought up was the different seasons. So obviously your birth chart how it affects you but there is also the underlying you know as we go into different months of the calendar year everyone for instance in libra season right now and she was saying that it allowed her to have conversations because every season kinda represents different change that's happening in pieces of reflection point and she was able to have conversations partner then have reflections on her own based on the season so we are coming off of lebron's season. I didn't even know this until we just look this up right now. We're give lever season and for anyone. That's curious leaper. Season is teaching you how to find belonging this is the meaning of what lebron's season represents basically cuts libra season is teaching you how to find belonging with others while keeping the balance between connection in tawny remember. You're not everyone's caretaker. You're responsible only yourself being a space of compassion with boundaries seeking give from your overflow. It's basically saying it's not selfish to put yourself first sometimes and you actually can give more if you honored yourself inhabit care. I feel like some people really need to be hearing us right now. So you're welcome for us. Bring to your attention. You're not other people's caregiver and you are not responsible for other people. You're only responsible for yourself. And i know a lot of people who have the hero complex. Who see people as projects when it comes to dating and say they wanna fix someone. I've also heard this phrase of you know this notion of if only this person could see how great i am for them. They'll appreciate all. I've done for them if others are not aligned with your values and what you're looking for. They're never going to appreciate what you're giving to them. So i think this what you're reading to me is. Sometimes you gotta give a little bit less and use that surplus for yourself as well so you got to love yourself before you can love others. I think i struggled with this for a long time. Because i think i am kind of a natural caretaker of a cancer so we talk about that in this episode in great detail but i think there is this notion that sometimes putting your needs ahead of others selfish. Yeah especially like you know if someone is in the best place for instance and it's taken me a long time to realize that it's not selfish and it actually allows you to be a better partner and you know maintain your own happiness which can really only come from within as you and i just got off of a spoiler alert for next week. A happiness expert. So i think it's this reframing that this is selfish but it's really a way the you actually can give more to people and when you give so much it inevitably builds up resentment because then you feel like it's unequal. You feel like you're you're partners constantly taking. Why haven't they stepped up. When you haven't communicated that you're just the one giving and giving so it. Maybe it's like a season to pause And of reframe and.

"What would you do if you knew you couldn't fail. If you had all the money all the time all the knowledge all the resources that you need it. What would you do with your life. If you simply knew that anything was possible for you. My name is kristina. Carlson founder of global swedish to sign and stationed rebrand kiki k. And author of the book your dream life starts here. And i love exploring these sorts of christians to inspire people to dream before assad kiki k. I had a dream that i could bring swedish assign to the world to create beautiful products that brings spots of joy into the everyday lives of millions. Now that i have a cheap. That dream i want to help you dream beach. I want to create a global movement to inspire one hundred one million dreamers to transform their lives and transform the world in return each episode. I'll be talking to some of the world's most inspiring people exploring the powerful impact that dreaming has had on their lives. We'll be turning deep into the power of dreaming with real insights and ideas that you can use immediately to build a dream life of your own that means for you. Hi there and welcome back to another episode the time of recording. It's locked down in my part of the world. And i know i have a lot of listeners based on this side of the world so i wanna talk about something that you may find helpful in lockdown. But it's not just for lockdown people. This is a helpful way to think regardless. What's happening in your world. I want to share how there is always a choice in life. This is quite simple concept. But it's not an easy one when we realized that it's up to us to choose our own path and our own dream life. It is really powerful. A lot of people who joins my digital. 'cause you dream laugh starts here. Have no idea what they wanna do in life. They don't know what daydream life could actually look like. I think most of us have been in that situation where we don't know what we want to do with our live. Some of us know what we want to do early but some of us have to go through in advance like illness separation or perhaps a loss of someone to wake up and of course. Some of us will do this when we realized that we will not live for about and that's often called like a midlife crisis and of course we can have midlife crisis at anytime. Obama live so if you are there now now it's a perfect time to stop dreaming dreaming without limits and ask yourself. What would you do if you knew you couldn't fail if you had all the money the time racehorses your health and energy to do whatever you wanna do in life but what that looks like some will say this is really hard and can't do it and yes dreaming without limitations can definitely be hard but it's also really hard to live a life that isn't your dream live so choose your heart if you're not living your dream laugh and have some dreams in your mind and you not taking action on them. You will stay where you are. A that is definitely hard as that is not living your dream life but if you do take action on your dream life and you're doing things that you never done before which is often the case when we are wanting to create our dream life that is also hard so hard will you choose. I know i rather choose a rather take action on my dream life even if it is hot so for example if you want to lose weight eating well and exercising that is definitely hard but being overweight and feet is also hard. It's hard to find time to bake healthy snacks for the kids. But for me. Sing my kids. Eating healthy is much hotter. Being sick is hard and looking after healthy is hard so choose your heart taking time to work out but your dream career or your dream. Business could be is hard but going to work every single day and not loving. Your job is definitely harder. In my opinion working out how to create financial freedom is hard saving. Money is hard and working out what to investing is really hard but being in debt and being broke is also hard. Finding and being in a great relationship is hard and being in not-so-good relationship is hard and of course. Divorce is hard asking for help and support is hard but being on your own suffering and not sure what to do is also hard thing worried about what other people think. All the time is really hard and living on your own term and your dream life. It's also hard taking time for. You may be hard but not doing what is important to you. It's also hard. So what hard will you choose. Will you choose to know that you have some dreams in your head that you wanna take action on but thinking it'll be too hot or will you choose to take action on some of your dreams knowing that that would also be hard. What hot will you choose. I know for sure i return. I will choose. Always go for the hot dreams as i know that will be so rewarding and once you have that attitude that it will be hard and knowing that the alternative not taking action is also hard. It's so much easier. I would love to hear what had you will choose so please share with me in free dream live facebook group. There is a link in the show notes so just to your dream. "Feeling comfortable but growth exist at saddleback conference on and it's a feeling that i'm getting really used to because i know what different makes because i know what a difference it has made to my life moving to the other side of the world and starting a business. I had no idea about how to do. I was certainly add my comfort zone most days but it would never happen. If i didn't number i stop. The next one is remember why you started in my workshops. I often ask the people attending. Why are you doing this. And once you rank that don refer to it offense so you remember when it gets challenging the next one is you have two choices evolve or repeat so what. I'm going to say about these. Let's civil repeating is boring. the next one is from goethe everything is hard before it's easy. This is applicable to everyone when we have a big dreams that we haven't done before and i often remind people about this court. You don't have to be great to start but you have to start to big right. That's the court by sixty. This is a good one. There is only one way to avoid criticism. Do nothing say nothing and be. Nothing are startled and this is so true. People will always criticize you regardless of what you do you might as well create the life of your dreams because they're going to criticize you anyway. The next one is to create space for new things in your life. You have to let go of things that no longer serve you. I do think we all understand that. But it's easier said than done however it's so important to do this the first step of getting what you want is having the courage to get rid of what you don't. The next one is nothing outside of you has the power over you. You decide how to think feel and do things in your life. Take full ownership of your life when we realized this. The world is your oyster..

You're facing right now. what how do you feel. And what will the live. Look like it really quite helpful to do that. Because i know that often were in three hard to say that this will ever end but if you can really put yourself into that frame of mind when things go back to normal or even better than. That's really helpful and a be helpful to actually read that letter everyday but try to see what works for your tip number eleven. Learn something new. I find when i go through challenging times to actually put my mind on something completely different so doing a new online course on something you always wanted to learn. This could be something in terms of knowledge but it can also be something Hobby like learning. How to draw or paint or watercolor or anything. Hadn't you handwriting. Whatever that is for you. I also find raiding your books or listening to a new audible if you go through challenging times financially. There are amazing books at the libraries audio and paper books as well on obviously able as well..

"Maybe you can do it as simple as every hour. You put the alarm on a new take three deep breath. Simple things like that can make a massive difference. How many hours do you need to sleep to feel great. I loved saying sleep solves everything and it may not solve your challenges right now but it certainly helps if you have a good night's sleep. So how many hours do you need to sleep. What is something nourishing. You can add to your body daily. I like to add a green drink each day. So that could be a smoothie or a juice or powder somebody something that you cannot to your body every day. what is your movement or daily exercise again. You just feel so much better. If you move daily what is something fun you can do. Each day. i think is so important even through the toughest time to have a bit of a laugh and also another thing. That's really important is to connect with someone each day so this could be a phone call or meet with someone for walker coffee..

"See if you can find a silver linings and right and dan in your journal tip number three create a morning routine. Most of us have morning routine already but we may not have designed a morning routine intentionally. What we really want to do. So if you have your ideal or perfect morning what would that look like. I've found that having a morning retain has been an absolute game chain shop and especially through challenging times if you are able to start a day in common inspiring way. It's so much easier to handle the challenge in tom's where facing to the day i will definitely do a separate morning. Ritual podcast episode and share. What i do. But what i love for you to do is to work out. What a beautiful morning routine could look like for you. What time will you get up. What would you do you. Meditate will your exercise. Will you drink water to hydrate. first thing. maybe we'll have a coffee. What will you make for breakfast. What will you do in terms of reading. Maybe some journaling. Maybe go out for a walk or a run. There are so many different ways to start a beautiful morning. Sa- cheesman that suits you keep number four move daily this again same so simple but it makes you feel so much better. I have never come back from a walk or iran or a yoga class or any exercise for that matter without feeling much much better. And what i think is the most important when we are going through a challenging times just to go for walks because sometimes we might not feel up for doing something. That's really hard because it's hard enough but gopher walk is most of us can do and being swedish. We have a saying saying there is no bad weather only bad close. So the point of that is that you can go for walk regardless of the weber just need.

"Can use immediately to build a dream life of your own whatever that means for you. Hi there and welcome back to another episode. I hope you loved last week episode with tom. Cronin and all about meditation. If you haven't listened to it. I highly recommended. Meditation is a habit that has really been life changing for me. So in this week's episode. I want to share ten habits. That have changed my life and by sharing them. I hope you will be inspired to try some of them or be inspired to find habits. That can change your life or support your dream life so for many years. I've been trying lots and lots of different ways of either adding habits that will support my dream life or removing habits. That are not supporting my dream life. I not a habit expert. But i have definitely shared a lot by trying before us thought the main thing is just to focus on one at the time as if we choose to many remain not achieve any at all and another advice is to start small. It may seem crazy or silly but it's incredibly powerful to just start and to sought small done a very short episode on that. So if you're heavenly center that one it's episode number eighty three. So let's get into my top ten habits that have changed my life. Number one is to get good quality sleep. There's a saying that are often say and he sleep solves. Everything and i tend to agree not sleeping. Well is really torture and for me. It was impossible to keep up with my business. Be creative and being a good mum. When i wasn't sleeping well. So i spend some time thinking about what i needed to do to improve my sleep and the answer wasn't the most obvious one which is to get a great night's retain older that is definitely a great habit to get into as well but for me. It was how. I ate. An how i'd try and which leads me into habit number two that also change my life a three months day talks. I am not a doctor. If you want to do this you will need to go to your doctor or find a nutritionist or a holistic doctor that can guide you through what date trucks will work. Best for you. I saw a holistic doctor many many years ago at and he got me focus on a very simple structure by eighteen only whole foods and remove sugar alcohol. Caffeine and things wasn't serving me. I actually eight pretty healthy before that but it was amazing to remove all the stimulants like sugar caffeine alcohol just for three months which made me sleep so much better which brings me to habit number. Three exercise daily the cost. I slept so well. And i ate so well i all of a sudden had all these energy so i could start exercising properly again exercises not my expertise but when you sleep. Better it better. You are more likely to feel like exercising. Such a move has been big part of my daily live. And when i talk about exercise these all varies from walking to running to go to the gym trained with the personal of china to go to classes. Jim go to yoga and piazza's. I absolutely love trying new things and as long as i move daily. I'm happy number four. Get up early. Yes i know this is not for everyone but i actually thought the same. I was not born a morning person. And i didn't think getting up early for me but getting up early has been a game changer. For me i get up early before anyone else in the house. And i have that time for me but having some time for me it means that i can cope with anything that comes my way during the day and adding being outside in the morning and see the sunrise and being out in nature and listening to inspiring podcasts. It's the most magical time of the day and often went out and there's hardly any people out of more waning. Gosh so many people missing out because it's such a beautiful way to start the day number. Five is a follow up on getting up early and that is to create a morning that works for you to have a plan for my mornings is so good. I have tried many different ways of starting my day and it will be different for everyone of course but by trying different things i have come up with my perfect morning ritual and of course i always try new things so my morning ritual in a few months time might be different because as i turned my dreams and as i evolves it a person my life changes and my morning ritual changes but it is great to have a plan that you can follow. That works for you. I think i would do a separate episode on what my morning ritual look like but in the meantime just try if you think that works for you number six. Look at your dreams or goals daily. When i was just focusing on having new year's resolutions back many many years ago. I tend to forget when they excitement fell off. I possibly mid january. So now. When i choose my top three dreams for the year i look at them daily. The power of that is that it makes me prioritize task at it makes my subconscious mind work on my dreams automatically so by looking at you. James daily and goals cities could be by written form. But it could also be on your vision board or something that you're record only today. Whatever works for you. Number seven spend ninety minutes daily on your number one project. I do these at nine. Am daily until ten thirty. And i try not have any meetings during that time. So i look off my calendar from nine to ten thirty. There is one day a week where i do have a meeting at nine thirty but all the other days working on my number one project between nine and ten thirty and this has started doing that. It just makes such a difference on the progress on my most important dream or goal or project at the time. Now eight meditate. I was talking about that before. But i can't tell you how much clear i am on. My dream live. And what i want in life. Since i started meditating again i will do more focus episode on that as well in the future. I stopped my day by meditating every single day and it sets my day up in such a wonderful way. So if you're not sure about how to meditate listen to the previous episode. Tom cronin that might get you excited to try a few different things. He recommended habit number nine. Read daily since asada. My personal growth journey reading books daily has had such an impact on my life. Once i worked out that one of my highest values is learning and personal growth. I now spend tom daley rating books paper books but i also listen to audio books bertha great and has been another life changing habit for me and last but not least habit number ten. What changed my life. Is that each quarter. I choose a habit that supports my dream live. Save my dream east to be fitter each birthday which it is. I often add a habit that supports that dream. Like an exercise habits. Something maybe something new that i wanna get in a habit of doing and if my dream is to have financial freedom i had a habit that supports that trim adding a habit. Each quarter for the last twenty years also shows my age. Time flies when you're having fun but it has been truly life changing for me so having really clear vision on my dream life but then choosing habits that can do daily to support my dream. Love has been so so so. I hope by sharing these that he will inspire you to find a life changing habit. That will support your dream life. Whatever that is for you if you need some help support or inspiration you can join. My dream live sixty six days habit. I have a little for myself just to start. Sounds pretty simple right. But it's not. So what i do is that convince myself that i would just start with two minutes. Everyone can do two minutes of something they really want to do. For example if you dream is to start a business but you have no idea where to start. Take just two minutes and write down what you think you need to do. Just for two minutes. Another example is running if you want to add running as a habit. It often feels daunting to run five. K or five k in one heat if you haven't run for a while or if you have never done it before but most of us can run for two minutes. If two minutes seems to lethal just try it for one day and you can always do it for longer. Tamara imon continue on sudan. The two minutes once he gets thought it and get momentum. It's actually really hard to stop during lockdown a few weeks ago i decided to tackle some things in the house that was to be an organized or mri things like kitchen drawers and shelves. It's true. I didn't actually really feel like doing that. But i really love having organized so i asked my friend jen if you wanted to join the lockdown challenge. But she wasn't that excited either. So i said why. Don't we just do ten minutes day. One door one shelf just ten minutes a day and she agreed she called me a couple of days later and she had gone through her whole house and her car was full of things to be given away or to throw out so once you start. It actually is hard to stop. So what is one habit or a dream that you want to work on. If you're not sure. I have a free sick habits ideas document on our website. You dream love starts. Hey dot com forward slash freebies with some habits that you may want to add to your life in. There are sixty six of them. "And welcome back to another episode at the time recording. It's june and that means we are getting close to the half way mark of twenty twenty one. And i'm not sure about you but it feels this year has gone quick cab than ever and when the uncertainty of covid lockdowns and other things happening in the world right now most of us have things coming out way that we didn't plan on which means some of us are not where we want to be at the hof year mock and that is okay. We can't change the past but we can certainly influence the future so in this episode. I want to inspire you to reset and make the second half of the year amazing or much better than the first pot before we start looking forward. Let's take some time to look back. What are you dream singles for the year. Are they clear if they are clear. Where are you at and what you need to do to get to the end of the year as per the plan in the beginning of the if you're not clear right on your top dreams or goals for the if things didn't quite go to plan what were the obstacles and if you have them again what would you do differently and how about the great things you did or what are all the great things that happened in the last six months. And what are you grateful for for the last six months. Even if things didn't go to plan. I'm sure there are lots of things to be grateful for. And there are some silver linings in the dark clouds before we start thinking about all the things we need to do to make your dreams and goals happen for the rest of the year. I want to start with the end in mind taking a dream or goal and see it completed and don by the end of this year. What would that look like. What will be different in your life when it stunned. How would you feel. Why do you want to reach these dreams or goals. And what would that mean for. Twenty twenty two. What's next. I love starting with the end. Assisi super important so you can imagine daily what it will feel like a will look like when you reach that dream and then if you can imagine that daily you're much more likely to make it happen so on sudan that what do you need to do now to make your dreams goals happen. I make sure you're super clear. Water be like when you accomplished your dreams and choose three only unless you want to have one dream or goal in each area of your life depends on how you prefer working but the key is less is more so many of us may include. It tried to do so many things that we may end up overwhelmed or do a little bit on each dream but not actually accomplish any of them so make sure your dreams are really really clear. Then plan after next six months start with. What do you need to do for the knicks quarter. Love planning and quarter and focus on that i. It feels much less overwhelming. And you can get really focused and a cheap soil martinez quarter. I absolutely love planning quarterly. But as this episode is about the knicks six months to really and twenty twenty one in the best possible way. Let's also plan out the next quarter to make sure you're actually make it all happen by up twenty twenty one so break all three dreams don planet out what you will do each month to make sure you get it done. You would quickly them see if the three dreams are achievable. It obviously depends on how big they are but once you break it down for the next six months you can easily see if it is achievable. Once you've done this go into more detail and plan out the first four weeks. What do you need to do in july to get going. Sometimes when we focus on the six months could feel a bit overwhelming so once plan out. Just forget about that and just focus on the next four weeks. Which is july one thing i found really useful is to choose a habit that will support my dreams so i may choose a habit adding remove removed. One that you know will support you to make your dreams come true so for example if your dream is to start a business or a side hustle and a habit of yours is to watch netflix. every night. that is probably not supporting you to work on your dreams. Or if you're tired or have some unhealthy habits that will not help you achieve your dreams goals. So what habits do you need to remove to have more energy to work on your dreams and goals. So what happened. Do you need to remove so you have more energy to work on your dreams and goals or you can add a habit that supports it so again. If you dream. Mrs datta business or a side hassle. Maybe a habit can be to work on your business every morning for thirty minutes before you normal day or research a specific thing each day that will get you closer to your dream. I often choose a health or fitness related habit for each quarter. As i know that if i exercise or meditate and bill really healthy i will be more likely to achieve my dreams so choose a habit that you think will support you if you're not sure what habit to choose. I have a free template with sixty six habits that you can choose from all that might inspire you to find your own. I will add to link in the show notes or just go to your dream not starts here. Dot com forward slash. Freebies as some of you know. I have a sixty six days. Habit challenged club. If you want some support and accountability please join us. Where a group of big dreamers that choose one habit six days and we are in a private facebook group together and every day. If you choose to you post if you've done your habit for the day this works so well as when you tell people what you will do daily you a match more likely to do it and when you see other people doing things you are inspired to take action yourself and the key to choose a daily habit east to start small. Once you get used to daily you can add to it. So for example if you choose to meditate daily you can start with just five minutes a day. If you choose to us daily you can start with walking. The key is to just start small and make it a habit. I'm currently doing a daily run. Just a short one but there is no way i would actually do a daily if it wasn't for these scrape so if you find it hard to keep habit after just few days of excitement please join us just go to most stats here to sign up. So let's say. The thirtieth of june as amina new year's eve and let's start our new khaw year of twenty twenty one on first of july. And let's make twenty twenty one best year yet as you know time will pass anyway and we know how quickly six months so why not use some of your time to work on your dream life. It is rewarding and adding a habit that you will actually do daily will get you going. Once you start. You would get momentum and it's amazing we can achieve when we put our minds to it so please join the sixty six days. Habit challenged club. You will be amazed. How much easier. "Whatever that means for you Hi everyone welcome back to another episode. Last week we finished my five days. Dare to dream challenge. And i can't tell you how much i loved it. It was the first time. I have ever done a challenge. Like this and it was amazing to see how so many of you start dreaming or race started working on your dream life and saw many amazing breakthroughs. i was so inspired and scale. 'em the most challenging task of the challenge was the most powerful and it's worth stopping for a second to bat. The most challenging task was the most powerful and that is because when we get out of our comfort zones. that's where our growth are so in this episode. I want to share these task. So you can do it yourself if you miss the challenge and if you miss the challenge and are inspired to start your dream live by the time of releasing this episode. The door to my digital course has joss closed. But if you listen to this amount to join. I will keep the doors open just for the podcast listeners. For another twenty four hours so you can join the cost dots on the seventh of june. Twenty twenty one. And i would love to support you if you are ready to start working on your dream life. If you wanna join just go to your dream lab starts here dot com and i would also attitude a show notes so on day. Three of the challenge. We did an exercise that is really worth doing. And it's really worth actually taking some thomson down and write down the answer. As a waste our dream life will work. If we do the work to start. I want to write down old. You are in ten years time. So if you're forty five years old today will be obviously fifty five years old intense tom then at the edges of other important people in your life. This could be your part not your children. Your parents grandparents pets at right down the age of anyone that is close to you often. Just that exercise is alone is quite powerful. Because when i get my kids for example i would have a twenty three year in ten years time and that can really blows my mind not duties exercise all the time but it really gets me everytime up at the kids and also my mom when i put her age etcetera so it's really powerful and when you brought down it's bright in front of you. It's it's really worth doing. Then start asking yourself. If i continue living my life like i am now. What would my life look like in ten years time so this means if you keep the same habit the same career business path and the same way of living. What would your life look like in ten years time. How will you health look like will be healthier. Will you be better and have more energy or will it be the opposite. Will you help be worse than it is. Now if you keep living the same way and you h how do you look will have the same weight. Will you be stronger or have more or less muscles will be more flexible or the same or worse as your age. How do you feel about yourself in ten years tom. If you continue living the way you live now have you got some habits. That will not end up in greater assault in ten years time. I think we all do have some of those swat others for you. How about your career or your business. Where will you be in ten years time. If you continue living the way you're living now are you in your dream role or are you working in your dream. Business will be what you want to be. Are you loving going to work every morning. Are you working there mantle hours. That works for you. Are you taking the time of you want. How about your financial situation. If you continue the same way will you have enough money to live your dream life will be able to afford all the things you want to do. Have all the experiences you want to have in your lifetime. Wouldn't you be financially free. Will you be out of debt. This is such an eye opening exercise. And i know some of you will feel a bit uncomfortable right now and if you do that is good as daddies when we will wake up and take action. Most people take action when something drastic happen when we get sick when we lose someone a break up or we lose everything we got. We don't have to have a wakeup call like that. We can create these ourself and start taking action today last but not least how you feel. And how would you act in ten years tom. If you don't change anything will you feel confident. Will you beat the best version of yourself. Will you feel calm but excited about life. The point of the six is is is to get you thinking. What would my life actually look like and feel like if i continue the way. I'm living now. If i move eight drink enact the way i did today. How wilder salt be in ten years time so many of us live such busy lives and fill up our lives so much that we don't have time to ask ourselves questions like this and i think it's really important and of course another way of looking at this exercise is to ask yourself what if i do change. Start working on my dream life today. What would that look like in ten years tab. That's exciting and having done this all myself. I know it's all possible for you but only if you take action my best advice from here is to make sure you are clear on your dreams your values your passions and your purpose to create your dream life. Whatever that is for you. It's pretty simple but it doesn't mean it's easy so if you need some support i would love to help you in. My digital course is a step by step guide to make your dream life reality so again. If you are listening to this on the day it's released you got about twenty four hours to join me. The cost of the seventh of june. Twenty twenty one. And if you're listening out of that time just to dream of here dot com and add yourself to the white laced and if you join now you will get a bonus which means you will get access to my sixty six days habit. Challenge club where we work on one habit to support our dream life for sixty six days. It's kind of perfect time to join that. Now as we are almost halfway of twenty twenty one and if we haven't got traction on our twenty twenty one dreams and goals now. I think it's the perfect time to start. I have added a link to the show notes. Or you can just go to your dream stats he at dot com and i want to finish with a very fitting court. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting difference results. That's why it's so important to stop and really think about our life and get clarity on our dreams and ben start taking action. Somebody's one action you take. I would love to help you. I am so passionate about this. My big dream to inspire one hundred one million people to ride down three dreams and then go and chase them. I hope you found this episode inspiring. Even if it's a bit confronting and if you do please share it with anyone you may think it will support and as always. We got another inspiring guests for next week. So don't forget to subscribe so you don't miss it until then dream bake and of course don't forget to.

Grieving Your Ideal Body Weight

"Feel like so many people who identify as dieters or like the healthy friend or the one who tries is always trying to lose weight or is always trying to you know do a diet or be the fit friend or whatever it is you know regardless of what your body size is when you're going through all of that and maybe you don't even identify as that but other people have identified you as that right and we can all see this especially when we go to you know if we think of our families the people that we typically see around the holidays like oh aunt. Susan is the one that's always on a diet. You know something like that. But i went through a similar process of you know always being like the fit friend and the healthy friend and the one who was always looking at food blogs and stuff like shocker which led me to start my own food blog that was borderline disorder at the time right. But then you know when you are going to this process of. Oh my gosh. Everything that i've been doing is not actually contributing to my health. It's taking away from my happiness. And it's gotten to the point where i feel like my value that i provide in. This world is just based on my body size there. Is this grieving period of like. Oh my gosh. I've been one. I've been hurting myself this whole time. And then on the second hand it's like what do i do going forward and i feel like a lot of people especially when they go through different life. Changes like you mentioned you know moving in with your boyfriend now husband at the time kind of forces you to go through that change and it's really uncomfortable because you don't want to go out of your routine out of what feels good to you right because like habit routine were like. Oh i want to stick to that and anything outside is like no no. That's not my comfort zone and especially when it can lead to body changes or what feels like a loss of identity. It's like you said you're like grieving past self but then there's also this worry of like if this isn't me who am i. And what do i do going forward. And then the like a bigger crisis of how do i actually find happiness in a body that is not so tightly controlled by like what you said are these diets that are basically like sanctioned disordered

"If you simply knew that anything was possible for you. My name is kristina. Carlson founder of global swedish to sign and stationed rebrand kiki k. And author of the book your dream lifestyles here. And i love exploring these sorts of christians to inspire people to dream the four assad kiki k. I had a dream that i could bring swedish assign to the world to create beautiful products that brings spots of joy into the everyday lives of millions. Now that i have achieved that dream. I want to help you dream. I want to create a global movement to inspire one hundred one million dreamers to transform their lives and transform the world in return each episode. I'll be talking to some of the world's most inspiring people exploring the powerful impact. The dreaming has had on their lives. We'll be turning deep into the power of dreaming with real insights and ideas that you can use immediately to build a dream life of your own that means for you. Hi everyone and welcome back to another episode. today. I'm going to talk about something that i really want to encourage you to do their to dream. So why do i want you to do that. Having grown up on a farm in sweden and having a wonderful childhood and dreaming about troubling the world made such an impact on my life. But what. I didn't know then. Ease that i had no idea what actually is possible in our lifetime. And what on me with that is that we are such product of our environments and we are so influenced by our parents. Friends teachers our community and of course social media as well that we not know what is possible for us. If we don't dare to dream the most frequent obstacles for naught living. Our dream lives are. This is based on asking you guys questions all the time. What's your obstacles are number. One is self doubt not feeling that we can do it and not having confidence to do it now. The two we are worried about what other people think number three not having time now before not having money number five east that we don't have like minded people around us so let's talk about each number one self-doubt and that can be for a lot of different reasons. But what. I do know east that if we are jamie about doing something we haven't done before most of us will doubt that we can do it. And that is good as it is when we out of our compensation that we grow. If you stay exactly where you are you will never evolve. Mb the next version of yourself. Even if it's a bit uncomfortable that is what we have to do. A number two is that we are worried about what other people think. I hear this one way to offensively. If you were about what other people think you will never win and he will never leave your own authentic life. Why because there will with at dot be someone out there who think your dreams are crazy or impossible but that is because that's their view. Those streams are crazy and impossible for them. But not for you and some people be super inspired by dreams and you will always find birth. Some were lower you about to do and some will not it is as simple as that and you will never to be able to please everyone around you so if that is the case. Wouldn't you want to go for your dreams. The third one is not having time. And i hear you. We are all so go at filling up live with so many things and we don't have time to do what really matters are dreams and leaving our dream live versus other people are suggesting for us. The truth is all have twenty four hours a day in. it's up to us. To make the most of our twenty four hours we are given sustained looking at your shingles and start questioning. What you are doing. We all do some things on autopilot because we have always done it but let's change that. Look at everything you do and ask yourself if this was completely my decision. Would i actually do this. And these could be things that you do to yourself. Without thinking like spending thomas social media and watching television et cetera. Once you know what you spend time on it will start with awareness. You can then start saying no to things that you don't want to have part of your life and the other one i hear frequently is that you can't live your dream live because you don to have the money required and i don't want money to stop you from living your dream life. I completely understand that most of us have to pay rent mortgages food and have families to support. But don't let that stop you either. Having financial plan is part of creating your dream life. Whatever that means to you perhaps financial freedom could be one of your top dreams if you choose to and the last one is that you don't have like minded people around you. This one is so so important. Research says that you become like the five people you spend most always so choose. Those five people wisely. Subodh if you don't have them there are so many ways you can join. Groups are doing what you want to do. You can do a course you can attend seminars. Maybe a seminar that have a theme that you're interested in you can join networking groups. You can read books about themes and that's not real people that you are then in the theme of whatever that book as it is so important to be around like minded people so do whatever you can to find those people having created my own dream life and having most of the challenges that i have just mentioned. I want to support you today to dream so i'm doing a free five days dare to dream challenge with a after the five days that you will be so inspired and excited to create your dream life. Whatever that is for you. The challenge will start on the twenty. Fourth may twenty twenty one and go for five days. You will need to go and sign up at your dream. I had a dream that i could bring swedish assign to the world to create beautiful products that brings spots of joy into the everyday lives of millions. Now that i have achieved that dream. I want to help you dream. I want to create a global movement to inspire one hundred hundred one million dreamers to transform their lives and transform the world in return each episode. I'll be talking to some of the world's most inspiring people exploring the powerful impact. The dreaming has had on their lives. We'll be turning deep into the parent dreaming with real insights and ideas that you can use immediately to build a dream life of your own ever that means for you Hi everyone and welcome back to another episode today. I want to talk about something that i'm very passionate about and that east. We have to do something we love and that we are passionate about over the years. I frequently get the question. What is the most important thing when it comes to start a business and the answer is always the same. Do something you are passionate about. But these doesn't just apply to starting a business. It applies your job your hobbies and any community or charity work. You may be doing. So why is this important. Imagine what would be like to spend most of your time doing things. You don't like in an environment that you don't like surrounded by people you don't like i can't even imagine that an hope. You are the same in my experience. The answer to avoid this trap has been to follow my passions to spend as much time as you possibly can doing things that you love and that makes you feel truly alive for me. Because i realized that for me because i realized that in life we usually need to spend a lot of time working i decided combining work and passions made sense so if you have your own business working for someone else or do charity work. There always obstacles coming and problems to solve. Some of these may be super challenging. And get you out of your comfort zone or you may not even have the energy to fix it but if you love and are passionate about what you do there's over struggles are so much easier to tackle is just a hurdle along the way perhaps an annoying one but if you love what you do you get through with some much easier as you know in our jobs and in now businesses. There are always things that we have to do that. We don't love as much but if the majority of your task in involve things you're passionate about you doing right. Life is short and you deserve to spend as much of your precious time doing things. You a passionate about something to give you a sense of meaning and joy and brings you into regular contact with like minded people and the wonderful news. Ace that you have a choice. You are in the driver's seat of your own life. You can choose to find and folly and you can also choose to move away from things. You do not love things that sap your spirit rather than giving you energy and joy that's worth reflecting on if you love what you do you have oriented one half the battle and if you don't love what you do now it's time to start exploring so here's an excess. You can do to work out what you're passionate about. I will read them out. But i have also created a free. Pdf's so if you want to print it out and write it down a having a link in the show notes or you just go to your dream. Enough starts here at dot com forward slash freebies. So here are the questions to ask yourself. What do you love to do. What do you find yourself. What do you find yourself doing in your spare time. What do you always make time for. What are you really good at. What are you skills and strength. What's your magic. What you care deeply about. Think about tom's when you completely lost track of time just enjoying what you were doing and totally in the flow. What was it that you doing is to something in that. That could indicate a passion for you to follow. If when answering the questions that i just read out you think i get lost on social media for hours and that happens too many me included. Think about what it is. That's capturing your interest maybe to your interesting food fashion or health makes you find compelling. Maybe it's the way people you follow are. Traveling are fit and healthy or making a difference in the world. Ponder what this means for you and if those things show what you a passionate about. I found that having someone to discuss. These successes with is really helpful. Talking through my thoughts lied with someone. I respect and trust often adds value helping making clear for me and i recommend that you do that too. Personalization: How to Get Buy-In From Leadership

"Real quick one but i get asked this question a lot. Hey christina yes. Personalization works sometimes. It can take a little bit longer if you get down this rabbit hole of research. But how do i get my team. And more importantly my leadership to understand the importance of personalization and so with this really goes back to really. The root of the question is how do i justify the time. I'm spending verses making fifty calls. Maybe i'm taking you know ten fifteen minutes per prospect really personalizing my outreach to try to get a higher return. And here's what i usually say. First and foremost don't piss off your leadership. We all have different goals. We all have different metrics that were held by their their for reason. So keep doing what you need to do. Fight the good game. What i usually tell people to do is whether it's on this side or you know kind of looping in your leadership team and say. Hey i'm going to keep hitting my metrics but i just want you to know. I think it's really important to test this new method of outreach takes a little bit more time but i am more than happy to carve out some time in test this on. Let's just say twenty five to fifty prospects right. I will present the data to you. Leadership team on was this fruitful. Doesn't make sense for maybe me to test this a little bit more and then it could turn into a situation where your leadership team is like. Hey all right you're onto something. How about you kind of go all in on that. We think it might be fruitful. Let's keep the rest of the team moving until he kinda flush this out some more. So i say there's two things here you know. Don't be afraid to kind of stand up. And say hey. I think it might make sense to test this. And here's why and here's helen. Going to test it without detracting away from my core responsibilities but to also be able to make that internal business case right and if it turns out that you have to go and do that at night. I prospect at night. Sometimes it's the best time. It's the quietest time if it turns out. You have to run that test at night and then kind of piggyback and ask for forgiveness and say hey i did this over the course at three nights this week. It's been really fruitful. I've booked x amount of meetings gotten this many replies etc and do it

California State Lawmakers Introduce Bills to Combat Anti-Asian Hate Crimes

"In anti Asian hate crimes is prompting state lawmakers to stand together in solidarity and take action. KFBK is Aubrey Aquino has more on new bills being introduced to combat this situation. Aubrey tell us what state lawmakers are doing. To address this. We've seen the video, and it is so disturbing these hate crimes against Asian Americans in the state to many of whom are elderly. Ah package of bills has been introduced by the Asian Pacific Legislative Caucus this month to address hate crimes here in the state. San Francisco Assembly member David Chu is co author of a B 5 57, which would require the Department of Justice to create a statewide hotline for reporting hate crimes. And he says this week's $1.4 million carved out in the state's budget to track the hate surge is also progress. We had a resolution of the sword this past week around condemning the anti Asian hate and we had colleagues representing every straight and diversity of our state, who spoke up as Black. Let necks LGBT female Jewish colleagues to say this is unacceptable. And if you're coming for any buster coming for all of us Hsu explains that money will help to study and documents in a phobia and hate crimes against Asian Americans made the pandemic through the initiative. Stop a P I hate, which is recently documented nearly 3000 incidents of anti Asian discrimination and did the pandemic. So Aubrey, you know, Kristina just talked about how many of us have seen these videos and how disturbing it is. But you know, the question becomes when you see something like this online or you watch your newscast. You wonder? OK, Is this an isolated incident or how prevalent is it and I'm just kind of curious. What did you find out? I asked Assembly member to about that, given the large and diverse population of Asian and Asian American groups here in the Bay Area and the Greater Sacramento region, and he admits it's been shocking. There are incidents being reported all over the country, but data suggests California leads with more than 40% of all anti Asian hate crimes happening here. And he suspects most are in and around the Bay Area, despite all of the strides that we have made is a community that we're seeing so many manifestations of continued discrimination and hate and racism. Manifested in all sorts of ways from name calling and slurs to vandalism, discrimination in retail environment, physical assault and Some instances, murder Q says he is deeply disturbed by the recent murder of an elderly Thai man in his district and beliefs. Officials need to address the uptick in violence to make sure these incidents don't continue and that those responsible are brought to justice. All right, Aubrey, thank you very much. We appreciate that. Well, I know that in the Bay Area, there are groups now offering escort to an elderly specifically, specifically elderly Asian community members not to, you know diminish the importance of this legislation because it is highly important, but you also need to see Changing the way people think. Right? You know, there needs to be a transformation. Absolutely. Yeah, But in the meantime, those folks need to be protected for sure. For sure. 5 50 is the
