"They come off the pit lane. There led by William Byron who gained two spots, then it's Alex Bowman Brad Kozlowski Martin treks junior and Kirk Bush. And we had a host of cars to side, the stay out here and some of these are pretty good rides. Kyle Busch chase Elliott. Kevin harvick. Alex Bowman Ryan Blaney all electing to stay out here. And again, all part of the differing strategies we had again. We've, we've been blessed we've gotten to opportune yellow flags just before the end of stage one just before the end estates to Doug. And that is sort of mixed up. The strategy has these guys try to plan for later in the race to have a set of tires and be up front, when it counts the most has there been a couple of cars at jumped off the table. At you hear so far subtract strategy play from it. Are there couple of cars? You think? That are better than others. Well, I think certainly Brad Kaz Laskey, no matter where he has started or restarted has eventually been able to make his way to the front. I think tile Bush is getting better as well as Kevin Harvick. Alex Bowman again he's been super these last three races as a runner up and he is certainly in the hunt to gain his first monster energy Cup series victory. I like the way it William Byron has looked. And again, this is an underfunded team. But Quinn house using strategy and wave around Doug. He's in the top twenty on the lead lap. This is a car that normally would be three four maybe five laps down at this point. So they must have a pretty good race cars, well as well as using good strategy, and they have been fitted from the fact that there have been a high number of cautions. We have had ten yellows to this point eight for incidence on the track most those involving right front tires and folks getting up and scraping the wall. And many of those involving Joe Gibbs racing Toyota's Eric Jones had an issue Matt Benedetto. Martin true. Junior. And Denny Hamlin the only car out of the Joe Gibbs stable or affiliated stable. It's not really had problems been called Bush, and he came over his radio earlier's. There's something we need to talk about. Am I going to have the same problem? They are cured him at that point. The answer was no, it's gonna be at least one more lap around Charlotte Motor Speedway before they turn them loose. Nascar wanted to make sure the trackers, clear and also make sure that the lineup is said, I got to say this isn't impressive place at night. They put a big fares will down at the apex of turns three and four and it has a great light show involved in it, there's a lot of folks here tonight, I know there's been there's always a lot of talk about attendance of the attendance here tonight. It's pretty healthy. The Coca Cola six hundred Doug again, we're not going to fit anybody. It's a sell out, but this is a big crowd. This is much bigger than we had a year ago, and certainly a positive sign as we move into the summertime here on the monster energy Cup series. They've swapped things now around just a bit. Let's give you the rundown. Kyle Busch leader chase Elliott second. Kevin Harvick third. Ryan blaney. Fourth fifth joy Lagaan. Oh, six. Jimmy Johnson seventh is Ryan Newman eighth his Denny Hamlin. Then you get to the first car who pitted William Byron ninth tenth, Alex Bowman eleventh is Brad Keselowski followed by Martin tricks junior. Kurt Busch Clint boyer's fourteenth fifteenth cow Larson. Ricky Stenhouse, junior sixteenth, Eric Merola, seventeenth David Ragan eighteenth, nineteenth Austin Dillon and twentieth. Tied dylan. Matt tift is twenty-first twenty-second Parker, men Korla joy twenty-third. Paul Menard twenty-fourth with Daniel Hamrick in the twenty fifth position Quinn, how has now been credited with twenty six BJ McLeod twenty-seventh. Then in the twenty eighth position Daniel Suarez the last car on the lead lap, a minus one in twenty. Chris butcher thirtieth. Michael McDowell Sorenson thirty first thirty second. Ryan Preece Bailey curry thirty third. Thirty fourth. Bubble wallets thirty fifth Joey gates than it's Ross Chastain Landon cash. Sel Cody wear MAC Benedetto, and Eric Jones, by the way, if you wanna stay up late tonight after our broadcasts about two hours after that we will be back on live on PR in social media platforms that's at PR in life on Twitter. And also on PR Facebook page myself, and Alexis Ericsson will be hosting the winner for a conversation. "Brad Kozlowski dominating today. Like, we have not seen in a long long time picking up the win over chase Elliott. He was only a car linked back. And we'll give you that full field run down here in just a moment. Alex, we will indeed as we get set here in just a moment to hear from our race winner is a matter of fact, let's go downstairs to Winston Kelly at Gatorade victory lane. Well, it's gonna show in the record book and looking at the stats as a woodshed whooping leading four hundred forty six flats forty four forty six, but it was anything, but easy you had to hold off a couple of the best one of the new up and coming guys chase Elliott one of the best in cow Bush. What made the difference at the end, Brad? I don't get my teammate Ryan by and he was too. But thank you very much wants him as a good day. These are the days you dream of as a racecar driver to lead the most laps and kinda dominate. But I thought chase was really fast and definitely a little bear. And we were on the short run and do some adjustments on the car just missed with my line. And got where we needed to be looked like the first couple of times, you guys made some tweaks on the car, then you didn't in the middle section, then you made adjustments at the end, what did you need to get you better to bring you here to victory lane? I think I just couldn't turn like chase. The chase would go down. And he would just point and click and drive away. Couldn't get my car to turn like that. And we just kept working on it. We talked about how dominating it was. Have you ever had this dominating a win at any level? Yeah. We had a a race. Like this in Richmond Virginia. But you know, martinsville just throwback to March from nineteen forty eight. This track is is tied to the history. And the legacy of the sport of NASCAR. I'm glad to put my name on the list is now a two-time winner here. Two-time winner here but two times already in six races in two thousand nineteen. What does this say about where this race team is you know, it's been a great start. It says a lot about where Racine is an excellent day. I'm Perot that's so critical. If you're going to win races and the Cup series. You gotta nailed on payroll. And and our team did that today. So I'm really proud of that. And it says a lot about Ford they came out with this new Mustang to start the season. I think there are a lot of comments about well, maybe they'll fall behind. They didn't they didn't. Now, did they not fall behind? I think we we moved to step forward. So really proud of those guys as well. Did it on pit road on the race track? Enjoying number twenty nine. Thank.

"What you're describing here because I asked a cut kind of awkward question around. What else you're you're looking at in terms of stateful workloads. You're talking about oh lap style queries. And there is you know, there are these these kinds of queries OLTP versus oh lap. These are kind of general industry terms. And we've we've covered them on previous episodes of the best episode. I can refer people to to understand OLTP versus olack is an episode. We did with Uber where they talked about their system for getting transactional. Data into an analytic data store. But basically like the what a lot of companies have built is they have this. Oh, LT P database, which handles the highly consistent up-to-date transactions that people need to engage with like if I'm getting an Uber car and my payment needs to process and to make. Sure that like I'm in constant contact with the Uber Uber database so that if I make a trust in safety complaint, it's like very quickly recognized by Uber. That's the oil T P style workload. But then you also have the lap style workloads where you need to calculate large scale analytics across, you know, a an aggregation of all the users that are in North America. And that is a very different query pattern than, you know, select this particular user row and update that users row and the difficulty of P vs lap is that you oftentimes have to take an oil teepee database and copy it into an Olaf database, and so then you have another area of of inconsistency because if I have to copy my entire a transactional database into the lap database than the time that I'm spending doing that. There's additional oil teepee transactions that are going on the oil app database is now out of date. So you're going to constantly. Have this this, you know, this ETL job that is that is creating a gap in consistency between OLTP and lap. And so some of the quote unquote, new sequel companies, which may be yourself. You put yourself in that category. You're building functionality to have the lap queries. Be able to be served by the same database as the OLTP queries is that right thing. That was a really great summary of what what building design Ables. And so we've talked to a number of these new sequel companies that are kind of attacking this problem because this is this is a gigantic problem the OLTP versus oh lap problem. So there are companies like site us data which was acquired yesterday. Tidy be which we talked to recently, we've talked a volt db. Can you describe how approaches to solving oil TB P versus? Oh lap vary across the. The different companies that are tackling this. TI Bianca deckchair..

"To invite. Yeah. Your the co founder and CEO at planet scale, and Dan Kozlowski you or the lead engineer at planet scale guys. Welcome to software engineering daily. Thank you. Thanks ravenous. I want to start by talking about my sequel scale ability or more generally sequel skill ability when a my sequel database is not scaling, well, what kinds of performance issues does that lead to typically a my sequel that I is used for oil to be transactions for apps that a user is interacting with in real time. So what that means is that somebody refreshes their profile, and they're sitting there trying to see the changes on the screen of the app or in front of the computer, and it takes a long time for for that little spinning wheel to give them back. The changes that they believe that. They've just made. That's just one example of how. It would manifest in app and does the scale ability of a my sequel database compare negatively to that of a no sequel database like mongo DB, so the interior model. No that I was like monger, they could be scared horizontally by adding more sharks or more machines and a single instance my sequel database, you can scan it only by adding more hardware to the neuron, which that particular instances running. So there are some practical imitations to how big a nor you can make for my sequel database. So rather than say that a lot of what you'll see with no sequel databases is a very similar performance profile for alab queries as you would get out of a traditional my sequel database, but like Japan said the real problem happens when you scale up the. Database..

"So, but you know, when I look at this list and I think about the fact that stage points, you know, but these guys are all pretty good tricks. Good. You know, Kurt Busch Boyer possibly could be in the top ten. 'cause Laskey blaming definitely could. When I look at all those guys, I think that the guys below the cut line right now. Any Bowman has to win wanted two percent. I think Larson wondered percent has to win. I think blaming one ninety eight percent has to women. 'cause Laskey ninety five percent has to win to move on. So essentially they have to these are must wins, I think so. I really think so because there unless trucks, wrecks out or Boyer wrecks out. I agree with you under normal circumstances. I think any of those guys below the, I'm really have to win more than they have to, you know, have good finish in hope for the other guys to struggle. What Bill comes down to like. You have to go ahead and you have to win and shows a killer instinct. And I don't know if any of these guys if their cars have the killer instinct. I think all these guys have a killer instinct. I just don't think their cars matched up against the other cars above them because they're not be racing to get to the cutoff line and for the win, they're racing to make sure other guys aren't like if finishes second, great. Dave for him boyer's finish his third. Rex finishes worth mixing the day. Makes no difference at that point really doesn't. Yeah. That's why I think that those guys because all the guys above them Lugano Bush Boyer tricks. I mean, they, they all are just simply good drivers. They're not the, they might have a bad day, but a bad day is still going to be within fifteen spots where they are, and they're all more than fifteen points out. So you know, save for flat tire record. I don't see any scenario where those guys below, here's a scenario to win. Brad Kozlowski in for for all for all the floor drivers, the NASCAR put out the clinch scenarios with a win because Alaska with clues to the next round could clinch points with help, and that's all it is. They don't even give the help scenarios. Yeah. Yeah. Because, yeah, because there's so many alien abduction, I believe is one of the not not. He'll get a potato and I can't find my receipt for that and I'm about to get in trouble for it. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Sucks. Chettiar the pants. That'd be fun. I'm gonna have to. I think I might have watched it. I think it might have put it my pants and washed it. They're not going to buy that. They're going to go with that. I mean, it'll be fine, but I'm just gonna yelled at about it. What was I gonna say? Oh, okay. So let's talk about this. Larson penalty then and how it affects what's going on in the championship. So call arson gets into a mess. Just like everybody else. Talladega comes on pit road apparently. And I don't know. I didn't go back and watch it. I think if the lead off the DVR already apparently comes down pit road and you're allowed to use tape and fasteners to fix the car. If it's been damaged, that's all you can use. They apparently use some sort of metal clips or metal tabs or something like that. Fix the car. He goes back out. NASCAR, sees it afterwards. They're like, no, those are not approved a vice that are not approved fasteners in tape. You get a ten point penalty. That's an that's a. That's a that. He's though they didn't specify. Well, I don't know. I don't even know what it is. I, I haven't seen any pictures out of them. You haven't really even I haven't found any description of what they've used. No seems we're. It almost seems like those like the tabs on a picture frame like they've talking about, you know how you put the picture frame in there and you put the tabs down. Like the three and things you can take off the wall when you're done. Yeah, no, like those, it'd be awesome if that's what they did am looking trying to find a picture of the tabs. I can't find a picture of the tabs..

"And so they're doing it on the heels of well, actually the doing the NASCAR race on the heels of the bowling competition. Exactly. And it's a part of the goal bowling to fifty on Friday as part of the playoffs. The xfinity series playoffs. Go figure. Well, there you go ahead. I think Cole Custer will be in the double zero goal. Bowling car this weekend. Is you go, but not Cole. No, not cohort Custer Custer, and you can win a Cole Custer, bowling ball. You can enter a win, Cole Custer. Bullying you can do that where I wasn't. You gotta go to go bowling dot com. There's rules and everything, but you can. You can get yourself a ball with his car on it. Oh, that I'm going the right now. Go there. Go have fun. Enjoy it even though it's hard because the m key on my keyboard doesn't work anymore. What the hell I broke it at your. Yep, Yep. Can you hear that noise in the background? There's something very loud in the background here. I hear nothing your pillow fort doing Well, I I have the. I should take a picture of this pillow. Fort is pretty darn impressive. Good work. You know what else is impressive, three straight wins, Brad Kozlowski. Three straight wins. Didn't look good in the first part there he eats and he started to get better won. The second stage evidently won the entire thing not evidently I boss checkered line, although the kooky points will tell differently. We said he was getting hot at the right time. Boy, Howdy. The Penske boy is really showing all of them in the top five. The finally a fourteen other than Stewart, hostile in well, what can Brad Kaz? Laskey be this dark horse that we because I thought he was going to go out real quick, but apparently not so much. I mean a couple of weeks back he was, he had no wins. He was going to get get in on points obviously because nothing was going to change it Indy. And then all the sudden three consecutive wins, he goes from with the two consecutive wins. He went from nowhere to fourth in the points. And now all of a sudden he looks like a contender. You kind of set it. I don't know if it was in between the first and second win that he was kind of peaking at the right time. It really seems like he is. I mean, all the sudden everybody was talking about the top or the big three coming into the playoffs and outbreak has Laskey is made us forget about all of those guys, really? Yeah. They really have been a non factor. I mean, sure. Martin tricks years won one stage one. But other than that, like there wasn't really much to say about all the other big three Kevin Harvick went out early. Yep, he got to an accident. He was. He was done act of that second half of the stage a cow Bush had some troubles on and off. You really wasn't a threat at all up. So I mean, I, you could see that maybe because Laskey finally just lane and leads a little bit hell..
