"Tampa Bay, Kowski again fired cannons. 98 rock in Tampa on the call. Tom Brady had to get in the zone to lead the Bucks to victory last night over the Cowboys getting his own brought to you by AutoZone. Get in the zone. AutoZone, Spain and fits on ESPN. Radio ESPN. I'm serious. XM Channel 80 Jason Pitts flying solo tonight. I'm not going to be here on Monday. I mean, I'll be here. In little hits, but I'm not going to be here on my name because I won't be in Vegas. And you know, it's funny. I talked a little bit, too Freddie Coleman last night about this time Freddie Fitzsimmons, But there's one thing that nobody's talking enough about when it comes to what's going to happen Monday night. Now you're going to hear a lot of preview Monday morning about the game. You're going to hear a lot of preview about what the Ravens are going to do to make up for the depleted injury roster. You're going to hear a lot about what the Raiders should expect from their defense. You're going to hear a lot about the pressure on Jon Gruden. The one thing you're not going to hear about is actually the most important thing in this game. The crowd. I'm not just saying that because I'm a Raiders fan, and I'm not just saying that because I'm from Vegas. We've seen proof of concept and over the weekend go back to North Carolina taken on Virginia Tech. I sincerely believe one of the biggest differences in that game last week was understand man playing as the crowd went nuts. Think about the some of the most incredible moments we've seen. Camp Randall Stadium jump around didn't result in a win, but still that momentum that energy We have as a collective Community. No idea what NFL energy looks like. In Vegas, none. I don't know if you saw this, but even Derek Carr Talk to the media to say. Hey, guys, remember when we have the ball? We need you to be quiet. Think about that. Vegas has not had an NFL team. And we just take that for granted. In fact, Vegas hasn't really had a relevant college football team. Sorry, UNLV. I want you all to be relevant. I do. I do. But we've seen what Vegas crowds can be like when I was a kid that UNLV crowds around Stacy Augmon and Larry Johnson at the Thomas and Mack Center for the Running rebels epic. We've seen over the last couple of years with the Golden Knights can look like when they get on a run right? Those crowds fire A lot of people have speculated ever since the move was announced that the team was going to go to Vegas. You have Oakland diehards who I respect the hell out of that have come out and said, Well, you know, it's all going to be casino people, and I'll go back to my music days. Nothing is worse than playing a casino show in Las Vegas. As a kid from Las Vegas. Nothing is worse. Nobody's from their most of it's a bunch of V I. P s that don't know your music. They sit in the 1st 34 rows with their arms crossed, unimpressed by everything. Is there going to be that that group? Yeah, For sure there is. There's going to be people in sweets that we're giving. You know the seven diamonds in sweets that were given free tickets that are going to be engaged in the game. We know that But I also know this. I know that I tried to buy season tickets. I attempted to buy tickets to the Raiders game. And by the time they got to me, and I put my reservation down the day the tickets were announced to go on sale. By the time they got to me, there were only single seats left. So for everybody that thinks that that crowd is not going to be height. I think you're wrong. But I think it's one of the most interesting things about this team coming into the year that we absolutely can't anticipate. What's the Vegas crowd? Sound like? What are the acoustics? Like? I've heard the acoustics for concerts. Not so great in that in the desk start, but in the Legion stadium. What are the acoustics like? You know, when you go to Kansas City what to expect from Arrowhead? You know what to expect from mile high. You know what to expect in all the wrong ways at this point from Sofi Stadium, Right? You know what you expect Soldier Field. You know what? The respective Foxboro You have no idea what to expect in Vegas. You have no idea what that home crowd is going to be like, and what we don't know is the end zone club. Is it going to make it a better party atmosphere? Or is it going to make it a less engaged atmosphere? Are eventually away fans going to use this as the game they have to come to. Maybe, but for right now, the story on Tuesday morning, I think is going to be about the electric energy coming from a stadium in the city. That's never had NFL football before. And for all of the relocations we've seen You know when you start talking about teams going into markets and you talk about the Chargers and the Rams You talk about even prior to that relocation to ST Louis. All of those places have had football before. When you're talking about no NFL football, you gotta go all the way back to the Jacksonville's of the world to the Nashville's. It's been a long time.

"I'm standing here with rob from Kowski. Can you hear me? You cannot hear me yet. So we're going to work on that right now. But as he's standing here, and we're trying to get this working, he's in perfect drunk mode, waving his Super Bowl champion hat and I don't know if he is dancing for fans or for anyone he knows. Here he is. Can you hear me? You're really terrific. Here we go. All right. You have given us the greatest definition of retirement ever last year retired, this year's Super Bowl champion Thistle is your fourth one. What does this one mean? Drop. That's what means a lot to me. I feel like this is the best one for sure. It's just in unbelievable story to come down here in Tampa, coming out of retirement coming to the Tampa Bay fucking years. Organization and was sure a blessing. I was ready to play football again. I had that year off. I felt good. I was ready to go. I came here played every single game had every single practice under my belt and this team. Just amazing. Let me tell you these guys in the locker room. There's no one selfish in this locker room. We got so many bets way got a lot of great rookies, and no one was selfish at mall and we got a lot of great players in there and a lot of great playmakers and no one ever cared. Like who got the ball who scored a touchdown and everyone contributed every single week would get here on this game. Super Bowl win. Just they're just shows how big of a team win. That wasn't how great we work together. And we are champs were Super Bowl 55 chance, and it feels great. Here's what I love about that answer. Every buccaneer. I talked to who had been a buck in here a long time before you got here, pointed to you saying The unselfishness that you showed showed them showed every position group how they should be able, how they should Approach the game. I know when New England you were so used to this every year. What does it mean to you? Not only lied the Buccaneers, but you literally taught them how to win. You know these guys I felt like We're winners. When we got here. This organization felt like a winning organization. They worked hard. It was crazy. I'm like, man. How are these guys? You know, not making it to the playoffs like previous years. I mean, there's so much talent. There's so much hard work No one slacking. And it was just great to come and join that atmosphere and just be a part of it. I would say coming in contributing, you know, with Tom and so many other great players on the team just you know, they respected us coming in the back room. They asked many questions about, you know, coming coming down this fire into the playoffs, and it was just great to be a part of it. And, you know, lead the way. I've just working hard putting your head down and just being the best teammate you could be. And it's just a great feeling because these guys are awesome. Everyone on this team organization deserves his championship. Big time. One last quick one. Will you mentioned Tom? His seven Super Bowl? Rob? Is there anything you learned about him this year? You didn't know. Yeah, he's his competitiveness is more crazy than I thought it was him. He just gets more and more, and he just gets more energy every single year. His energy was just for 43 years old is just tremendous man, and it's just infectious. It just wears off on other players wears off of myself and Just his leadership skills, I would say went to another level that I ever seen before. Wow, Rob, Congratulations on your fourth Super Bowl. Thank you so much. I'm gonna let you go. Enjoy this. Thank you so much. Yes, Thank you, Captain. Back up to you guys. Gronkowski. Thank you. Laurel was quiet.

"Going, man. I wish they wouldn't have ejected. James Kowski from the game because it felt like I feel that there should be degrees of targeting and it felt like that particular hit didn't rise to the level of an injection. I get it the rules the rules rule, but But I'm wondering if there should be any gray area involved in some of this. Let me read you. The from the N C. A. A rule book. The official rule on targeting And where they were in their rights well within their rights to ejects Kowski from the game. Personal fouls targeting and making forcible contact with the crown of the helmet. Article three. No player shall target and make forcible contact against an opponent with the crown of his helmet. This foul requires that there be at least one indicator of targeting. Which they note below winning question. It is a foul targeting and making forcible contact to head or neck area of a defensive, defenseless player. I think we all understand that one I think we all kind of know that one when we see it, although there have been instances where you have a player whose shoulder pads kind of slide up towards the neck and head area and you have a player getting flagged for targeting. And ejected from the game. And you're like, Was that really targeting But for the most part, you see a player a defenseless player. Get hit in the head or neck area you go. OK, I get it. I get why that player has to go. No one of targeting says targeting means that a player takes aim an opponent for purposes of attacking with forcible contact that goes beyond making illegal tackle or legal block or playing the ball. Some indicators of targeting include, but are not limited to Launch a player leaving his feet to attack an opponent by an upward and forward thrust of the body to make forcible contact in the head or neck area. Ah Crouch. Followed by an upward and forward thrust to attack enforceable opponent forcible contact at the head and neck area, even though both Peter still on the ground, leading with the helmet, shoulder, forearm, fist, hand or elbow to attack when forcible contact at the head or neck area. Lowering the head before attacking by initiating forcible contact with the crown of the helmet. That's what they got. Scalp ski on that one right there. But is there a place we're targeting shouldn't be targeting and let me step up and speak up for defense of players for a second. In that same semi final. You're watching sermon from Clemson lead with his helmet. On runs. And targeting not be called. It doesn't seem to be called as often on offensive players who were doing the same thing when initiating contact with the crown of their helmet. It's just this dangerous. You the player. See the ball carrier. As it is a defender who's leading with the helmet. So let's take some of your phone calls on this. How can we go about making this better? How can we improve this? 855 to 1 to 4 to 27855 to 1 to 4 CBS to start with Isaac in Dallas. Hey, Isaac, your CBS sports radio. How you doing? Thanks for taking my call. No problem. What's on your mind? So, uh, A few years ago, they started making a change where they were at least review the targeting penalties to see if it is in fact targeting and if there's not, then the player will stay in. At first they kept the 50 yard penalty. Then they took the 50 yards back in about the play to stay in. But the biggest issue is that this rule doesn't take into account the fact that both People are moving. The spirit of the rule. I have no issue with and even the 50 year ability. I have no issue with the ejection of the player is an issue because if both people are moving Defend the fender can be aiming properly. But once the quarterback takes the late slide, or if another defender hits that player and knocks him into Position where you end up, hitting him in the head or neck area or ends up hitting him into the crown of your helmet, even on review that has never taken into account. Targeting still called the players still ejected. You lose 15 yards. If you've got a third down, stopped and all the sudden they have a first down. It's way too impactful on the game. Or something that too subjective and and too easily get misconstrued. Iz, You're fantastic phone card. Thank you for checking in, and I think that you're right. I think the movement. Part of it is a big issue, and that's that's why I look at this play with what's Kowski and with fields. Because clearly you're trying to make a play. And you have a guy who's adept at getting out. And.

He's still prepping like he's he's going to be doing the job, but obviously he is not. He's still recovering from the surgery. We know that he's feeling a little bit better. Obviously, it's it's a very painful thing. Open heart surgery is not something that I think you're going to recover from quickly. I've heard from people that I've known that have had bruised and broken ribs. And they say having a broken rib is like you. No matter what you do is painful. Breathing is painful. Coughing is you pass out from pain Walking around is painful. So if that's just one rib, I have to imagine the whole thing is broken. It's going to. It's going to be incredibly painful. Well, you know how Trump is saying that Biden met with that Moscow mayor's wife, Putin says That's news to me. Maybe Putin saw the poles. Trump's not going to make it He is sending you stuff just to make you have liberal Mike News. It's like he's petting me. I should be purring. Yeah, it must be all the drugs that he's on right now. Assed faras. The really news does go today. It looks like Amy Cockney Barrett is in. They have advanced her to be voted on by the full Senate. That apparently supposed to happen later on today. From what I understand, and so by his earliest tonight, we may have a brand new Supreme Court justice. They may just go ahead and you ever put the hand on the Bible later on today, and it will be done. So I can't imagine that there's anything that can stop it at this point. I know that even Murkowski out of Alaska, she said. She's going she's going to go ahead and vote for Amy Cockney buried. So even if they're looking even if the Democrats are looking for the possibility of maybe picking up a couple of Republican votes to lean their direction. It sounds like it isn't gonna happen because Murkowski would have been one of those votes. Kowski Collins, you know, maybe get Mitt Romney. Maybe. But all those guys have indicated they're gonna go ahead and vote for Amy Cockney Barrett. So barring the The asteroid that Pat Robertson predicted there. It's going, it's going to happen. We have we will have a new Supreme Court justice soon. Also did you see the Lincoln Project? They're getting into it a little bit with with Jared and Ah, What's your name? Ivanka. If you remember the name Theo Lincoln Project that is, ah, George Conway. Ah, Kellyanne Conway's husband and a bunch of other Republicans that the never Trumpers they they do whatever they can to try and irritate the president. Usually they come up with these really Entertaining videos that they put on Twitter on DH entertaining for Democrats infuriating for Republicans. But the thing that did recently is they put up billboards in Times Square. One has Jared Arms kind of crossed with a smirk on his face, and the line is New Yorkers are going to suffer, and that's their problem. That's a quote that the Jared Kushner gave in the past year. Another one has vodka right next to it has Ivanka kind of Smiling and gesturing towards the the death toll of the Fur cove. It just kind of generally kind of smiling and Ha ha isn't it is it is hilarious. Kind of kind of a look on her face on DSO. This these are the billboards that they have put up in Times Square and they have a CZ you would imagine have threatened to sue their calling it outrageous and shameful Libel. They say. If these billboard ads or not immediately removed, we will sue you for what will doubtlessly be enormous compensatory and punitive damages, suing him over a quote. Yeah, Yeah. Yeah, And that's basically with Lincoln projects, lawyers said they replied back, please peddle your scare tactics tactics elsewhere. The Lincoln Project will not be intimidated by such empty bluster. So that could be something that really takes off depending on you know how things go over the next week or so. Maybe they try and get into court real quick. Or maybe maybe they're done. Maybe maybe it was just a scare tactic. But but, yeah, it's ah, It's it's interesting to see things you kind of flaring up on that side of the aisle, you know, kind of infighting and such. Coming up here in just a few. "Money News, a 25 and 55. This is a Bloomberg money men. Like most things in 2020, this Halloween will be different. Many Americans would be on the couch costume. No party trick or treating implies Curry Lundberg. Reporter Nick Carrillo says costume makers will have a tough time. A lot of costumes in a normal year are purchased by young adults and people going to Halloween parties, and those are largely off the tape. Sales of kids costumes may hold up better. But there will be candy Carlo says. Instead of the kids bring it home grown ups will buy for themselves and candy makers are adjusting whether that's keeping their candy on self longer or maybe moving away from seasonal packaging. There's left discounting candy as we move into November for candy makers. Halloween is a big deal at Hershey. It's 10% of annual sales. In a normal year are purchased by young adults and people going to Halloween parties, and those are largely off the tape. Sales of kids costumes may hold up better, but there will be candy, Carrillo says. Instead of the kids bring it home grown ups will buy for themselves and candy makers are adjusting whether that's keeping their candy themselves longer. Or maybe moving away from seasonal packaging. There's left discounting candy as we move into November for candy makers. Halloween is a big deal at Hershey. It's 10% Of annual sales, Carrillo says it may open a window into the broader economy is probably a really telling sign as we move into the Christmas and holiday spending season. "Titan victory to go to foreign one. But, man, I'll tell you guys Kowski really betting against me tonight, 6 51 to go in the third quarter tied at seven. Keeping an eye on that game as they go down under 6 30 now One baseball game still going and maybe it has got no, it is final. Now everything is final. Now in the big leagues, San Diego did finish off the Dodgers, 7 to 2 and the Cardinals held on to beat Milwaukee in that night cab 3 to 2. So everything final except for the football game, And that's of course, because it's a Monday night doubleheader the opening Monday every year. Ken Thompson. Mac Guterres. Uh, what about those Chargers boy? They were fortunate to come away with the W maybe a little gift there on the offensive interference. Otherwise, they'd be all in one. Charges didn't look good playing a bad Bangles team rookie quarterback starting there were Joe Burrow, but I don't Yeah, lucky. I think it's the perfect way to describe the Chargers. Yesterday. I don't I don't know that they're going to be I know a lot of people were picking them. Tio finished second to Kansas City. I think that was a little lofty expectations there because I don't know that they've done enough in the off season two really Make that roster that much better. But I think you saw yesterday what you're going to get out of San Diego. They're going to struggle. The score this year and a team like the Raiders, who look like they're going to have a pretty solid offense this year should be able to run away from that thing. How long will it take you to stop saying San Diego? Did I say San Diego didn't happen. It's awesome, buddy. Not you don't know how many times I've done that, and I could not stop saying San Diego, it is is even I can't even convince myself to stay Chargers anymore. It's just San Diego stuck in their class. I don't say Oakland anymore. Now, you know, but but you know what? Here's the thing the folks up in the Bay Area two folks in L. A. The folks in San Diego, the Raider fans all over Kelly. They're not going to say Las Vegas Raiders. They're just going to say Raiders. Probably You know, I mean, you went from time to time to. I was expecting to hear Rich Gannon yesterday on the broad broadcast. They opened a few times, but I don't think he slipped up it all good for him. Yeah, there's a few tough ones. And I will say the Miami Marlins from the Florida Marlins was a tough one for me for a little bit, But I will say, saying the Washington football team nickname Yesterday I had probably six or seven of my buddies, you know, and they couldn't. They're so used to it. It's just years and years. And years and so you know, they'll get away with it. If they just say the skins. You know the skins, but but to Washington football team, I mean, can they make a heck of a comeback down 17 zip to Philly come back and win 27 unanswered. That's ah, That's a good wind. But now I'm definitely not convinced Haskins is a pro quarterback. No. I was actually extremely surprised that Washington was able to come back in the game, but same time. What are you getting out of Carson went They continue to hide this guy up and you know, outside of Outside of that Super Bowl season, where he was playing really well before he got hurt, and I think maybe the season before that. He just hasn't lived up to the hype, and he continues to get injured. And then you have the start to the season yesterday, so No, it's Carson was going to be the guy going forward. I want to see Yeah, that's interesting. All right, let's get to the Raiders. Sean, wait. Hold on. Let me get show needed to queue up. Even though we're going to switch this one, but I got a head shot. Sports X Radio is getting you up to date inside. Raiders football character of this team is impressive matter what anybody says or saw today. This is the silver and black State Raiders. We're hoping we're not gonna have to many solemn Jon Gruden comments this year, Raiders found a way to get it done. The old Al Davis hashtag. He didn't have a hashtag before it, but he could have just win, baby. It's a hashtag all by itself. It is with the Raiders look to do weekend week out, and this is a team. Two years ago. That would have lost a game like this, but they found a way to get it done because when you blow a 12 point lead on the road, a lot of times you're not coming back, but they found a way to get it done. There are there's a lot of promise on this team, but you've gotta Stay injury free for a good part of the season, and the Raiders got nicked up early and often in this game, Henry rugs. The third went down the injury a little bit, and then we even Brian Edwards. We saw him make his first catching Anne's hobbled over on the sideline right after the catch, So You know, it's it's tough when you don't have a ton of death. You have a 53 man roster. Yes, you've gotta practice squad, but the guys that made the roster of the guys that you're thinking you're good enough to go into battle with Look, they get to 30 for 30 victory. There were a lot of things to take away from this game as I tweeted out. Ah, lot of them Good. There were some bad things as well. But what do you expect? I mean, not a lot of practice time. And you know, you're basically cutting down to 53 men and not getting that game speed or anything. So overall, I thought, you know what? As long as you get a W We'll worry about figuring things out after that. Matt Gutierrez, your initial take just getting the W I know you had to be pleased for that, because there's no way you want to lose this game coming back to your home opener on a Monday night in Vegas, even without fans to.
