"Ten w o r. Anthony cumia Opie and Anthony course, but he's been on his own for quite a while. It's got a new book out permanently suspended, though, rise and fall and rise. Again, a radios. Most notorious shocked Jack is that coming out till early next week, but you can order it right now. Go to Amazon. Hey, Anthony, how you doing? How you doing man? This is great. I love this book. Oh, cool. Yeah. Yeah. There's a lot of dirt in it. You know, everybody likes dirt. So and it's called permanently suspended. But it's about the rise and fall and rise of radios. Most notorious shock jock. Now, I used to be a little like you. But then after and fired suspended, and but you kinda love that right? No. Really? I know what you're saying. But it gets old really fast. You know, you're you're trying to outdo your last done and gimmick and getting caught up in the fact that the ratings are good and the fans love it. And you know, you're teetering on the edge the whole time. It's it's pretty stressful. That's why in this these days, I kind of enjoy what I'm doing. I'm pretty much completely uncensored. It would be very difficult for me to fire myself. So it's a much better place. Now, it was fun at the time. But after a while it just got to the point where you know on a daily basis, you're going home wondered if you have a job the next day. I should put out you do a great show, and you can watch it online. You listen to it online. And you do that from your house. Right. I was doing it for my house for about a year. But the last three or so years we've been here in New York City. Oh, right by Madison Square Garden. So it got a little crazy cause I was literally never leaving my house. I would do the show, and and I was pretty much almost late or my show every day from my own house. It was getting a little a little strange. It's kind of nice to get out. I have to go into the city on a daily basis. So it gives me a reason to live kind of instead of just becoming a crazy cat person in my in my house. But here's the problem now, garlic you one of the top stars in radio the size. I'll do my own broadcast and put it online in a couple of other top top radio. Guys, do this. This makes sense. But then you got everybody in the world. Now doing a podcast like your dentists next door, probably has a podcast. This is ruining everything for guys like. It really is like remember the eighties. When everyone was a stand up comic. There were there were a thousand shows every weekend with a brick wall and some hack in front of it. It's kinda like that now and after a while the cream rose to the top and the hacks, you know, went back to their day jobs. So I think eventually that's going to happen. But really good compelling talk radio is a commodity. It's not something you can get like on other music services. Let's take you know, you like seventy or eighty s music, or grunge or whatever. You know, you could get that anywhere. But really good compelling talk radio is something that it's special, you know, and you can't just pull it out of nowhere and pop it on a platform. So I think after awhile like, I said, the Creamer rise to the top and you'll get all these former podcasters going back to doing whatever the hell, they do get. Anthony cumia is new book it's gonna come out Tuesday. But you can order right now. Permanently suspended go to Amazon and get it people. They always say part of genius. Is you make it look effortless. Whatever you're doing. So people think you're just going on the air rambling for forty minutes. They don't realize it takes surgical precision incredible skill to take one little thing. And turned it into forty minutes. They think you just talk if they don't get it. Yeah. You know? It is strange. It's been my entire life. You know? And it's in the book how I just been the center of attention tried to, you know, make people laugh and any parties that my parents would be having always try to get dealt to laugh. And I always thought that was a great thing. And. My parents telling me to go outside not watch the television, not realizing that watching TV would be the thing that really gave me the ability to do impressions. And and get this career that I have now so keep watching those TV shows kits. It's a it's a great book. And you know, you can realize when they hire you they say, well, this guy's outrageous. He's great. He's that's higher when a fire you they go. But this is terrible. You were outrageous here. Yeah. That's always been that double edged sword. You know, you're trying to put on a show that's different from everyone everyone else. And and it gets people talking about it. And then when you do that, there's this very vague grade line that you don't even know you stepped over because you've been doing this for possibly years, and then management comes in and goes, oh, well, you can't do that. It's like have you been listening to myself all I've been doing the entire time? And you know, when when you're dealing with management, and I guess in any capacity as far as the work goes. You know, they're never really going to understand the talent into the whole thing. So it's it's a constant battle. So, but you're right, people don't realize the stress a guy like you all the time. Well, not now. But when you working for other people, there was always that stress you she never once said to yourself. Let me be John gambling and just be pleasant and nice and not have anything to worry about. You know, do kinda look, you know, the other side always greener kind of a thing you do kind of look and go God that must be so nice. Not just be despise. No matter where you go. But there were so many times I would go over my mom's house, and she'd be like, oh, so a friend of mine told me what you were doing on your show today. And I'm like oh God. I'm is. You know, we're doing interviews in horrible, porn magazines. And I can't show my mom. It was you know, and it was great for us. We were getting a lot of notoriety for it and everything. But yeah, you do kind of look at some of those shows and go God. That's gotta be nice. Yeah. You look at some of those eleven o'clock news guys. All they do go in here. Read this. It's on the teleprompter. Here's the check. And you're done. Life is so much. Yeah. Much a much nicer way to go through life. I remember when we got fired at W W for the sexist Saint Patrick's cathedral. I was driving home and I saw New York City bus combined. You know, the bus drivers tuck their newspapers in the windshield. And I just saw Opie and dopey. Line as I drove past the bus and it hit me. I'm like, oh my God. I'm jopi. I'm dopey and. It was not a fun day. All the stuff you got in trouble for it's interesting. If you waited five years like it would have been okay to do it like even that Saint Patrick's you did that now notice. Yeah. Very true. We're we're living in a wow strange times where I don't know though. I it seems like people are getting the axe left and right for political ideology, and what they say what they said ten years ago when it was acceptable. And now it's being judged on this phony morality and ethics of twenty eighteen. So we're we're living in dangerous times. I I kind of like the idea that I've thought a platform that I created that is one hundred percent uncensored, and you know, people are still very interested in that. They they like the idea that they could listen to somebody. That's speaking their mind without any really no holds barred. Yeah. A also you look back at the Catholic churches problems last few years. What you did it looks like nothing compared to that. Oh god. Yeah. We there were a bunch of deal even at the time joking. It's like I said, well, they must have been mad that it was a heterosexual couple having sex in the terrorists. You know, I tried to steer clear that for a while. But I'm looking at the book says permanently suspended. I've been social media has has dumped me because of things I posted and. Radio stations and Sirius XM. So, you know, I it really does fit my entire life. Where of because of of me, speaking, my mind, and being boy eminence expressing myself, entertaining people, I constantly been thrown off the air and tried to be exiled from from the business. But like, a cockroach I'm still here. Great and everybody should get this book. It's a really good book. It's Anthony Koumas new book permanently suspended the rise and fall of and the rise. Again, radio's must notorious shock, Jack. You can go on Amazon and ordered right now..

"An early progenitor of new thought he made that exact same observation when he was a pharmacist in north western France in the early twentieth century, he noticed himself that when he spoke in favor of a certain formulation or drug to his own customers. They would frequently report doing better with it than if he said nothing at all and Kuwait who was very much interested in hypnotism in the power of suggestion and the use of mantras and affirmations. The exact same observation is the Harvard researchers well over a century ago. Capture the program director, if the study had been designed with Kuei in mind, if any of the researchers had heard of Koumas as own findings, and he said, no they had not. But he was aware of who wasn't he agreed that what is researchers found could comport with as insights. So this is one of many many examples in which mine theorists who were in many cases associated with mysticism associated with spirituality had these early remarkable and very shrewd instincts for human nature for human behavior for the possibilities of the mind. And I think it's time for us now to come full circle and revisit the insights of these early theorist because these were modern mystics of real power of real insight, and I say that not just based on my own experience and based on the experience. Other seekers who have testified as to the efficacy of these methods. But I say it because finance in a very real and plain fence, and that was just describing no validating some of these ideas. And I think this is gold. This is gold right at our threshold. And we must not we must not neglect it. Hey, hey, one of the. Critiques of your book called? Oh, yes. It was David Lynch said Mitch is solid. Gold. That's pretty good. And the old days there used to be agreed. Above a oh is that right? Yes. There was called h have meant honor. Oh, yes. H. Yeah. So do I like to have that to my parents didn't know about that? Or they would have been. For me. Why am I coming home? Not with better. Great. Well, your conviction. Is that the true nature of life is to be generative? Yes, now, what does that mean? We in the west are taught that men and women are made in the image of the creator are made in the image of the higher were as a great hermetic principle goes as above so below as above so below that great Greek Egyptian expression is probably a cosmic law of life. And if we accept the contention, which we find in our own scripture than men and women are made in the image of the higher. Then it stands to reason that we to or here to create we too are here to generate to produce the see through our projects in the world, whatever they may be whatever they may be. So my contention is that the human wish to aspire to attain to create whatever you walk of life is is sacred that in and of itself is sacred. And at this point in my search, I don't get hung up frankly on questions of identification versus non identification attachment for non attachment ego versus essence to me, it's very plain that. For this limited space of time. We are here in this physical world, we are here to produce. We are here to. Generate. We are here to create human aspirations should be honored. The we one of my philosophical heroes puts it never got. It. Is this desires on the voice of God desires are the voice of God. Speaking to you, urging you to take a step forward to climb one more rung on the ladder of what you're doing whatever it may be that doesn't mean the individual is free from ethics or doesn't.

"You know, in a tent you're supposed to stir it every time you come into the tent and personal completely subjective opinion tastes terrible. I had some cool that was made from camel's milk and the camel Koumas more palatable than mayors coolness milking the mayor's because they're kind of wild as kind of a hard thing to do. Right? Yeah, yeah. Milking camels isn't particularly easy. But Holstein's isn't so bad. You also made made another point which is obvious once you make it the cheese since it salted and preserved is really a safe way to consume milk, right? Yeah. And a lot of cultures. For instance, the Greeks and the Romans, that was the most common thing they did with military rare to drink milk. Amid cheese. You also said that with raw milk cheeses, the brief, for example, very much taste like potere wars. We talk about a wine, so exactly where it's from the season, all of those things as a really strong impact on the cheese. Absolutely. And I lived in Paris for about ten years, and I bought much she's two very good from Cherie and. We will talk about with each. She's we were talking about what you want the fall stuff. Do you want the spring stuff with some cheeses? It makes a huge difference. Baked Alaska. You trace the orange that you said Jefferson, like to serve ice cream on a sponge cake with a lightly baked meringue on top. And eventually I think Fannie farmer refers to his baked Alaska, but that's where that I didn't realize that came from. Yeah, I believe she was the first one to call it baked Alaska. They had similar names for it and then the ice cream acres invented mid-nineteenth century. You talk about Sunday's. This was a little apocryphal story, but the late nineteenth century, you said there was one ice cream store that only added toppings to the ice cream. Sunday girl comes in on a different day of the week, argues that this must be Sunday. Hence the term Sunday. That sounds a little pocketful to me, but I have trouble believing that a little too. It seems that ice cream stories are particularly dubious in the food world. The leading source of bogus stories is Marco. Polo. Second is Katharine Medici and I think. Third would be Thomas Jefferson food stories than Volve any of those names. You should take a second look at what's good example of of a Marco Polo story. Oh, that he introduced pasta Italy. It's completely completely absurd. There's pasta in Italy, long before Marco Polo was probably introduced by Arabs. Well, you do these books and you dealing with history all the time, and that's a question I have for you. When you start researching, how do you get at the truth? Oh, my God that I mean, that is the question of journalism, isn't it? How do you get at the truth? And how do you know which version is true? And sometimes you just have to give all the versions. Yeah. But if you're talking about the Nixon administration, for example, is a little different than if you're talking about something that happened five hundred years ago, you but you never know. Nixon might have slipped out a truth when no one was looking. Someone such that Mark. A great pleasure. Thank you for the great book. Yeah, nice talking to you. "Tell me that so food poisoning, if you've had it, you've been lucky enough not to have it man counter blessings. Don't eat healthy. So you were talking about Brandon Ingram shot from last night, and he says, he's found his shot. What does that mean? What I say? He found his shot and why this is so important. He's about sixteen six, eleven, probably seven, two, seven, three wingspan. He's getting to the elbows. He's getting to those short corners and he's just pulling up in shooting a jump shot over people for a guy like that is so important. You watch the Colby's you watch the Durant's Larry Bird, Michael Jordan? No, I'm putting him in high company right now, but that's the importance of knowing your shot. There's something that Brandon Ingram can do that not a lot of NBA players, not many, if any great NBA players only have the ability to do and he's figuring that out and he's hitting it a high rate. He's posting up. He spinning off in that baseline jumper, he's getting to the elbows. And one thing. Portent getting to your spot. I remember I was in the gym one time will Paul Pierce when I was a younger play at UCLA, and I remember Paul with just shooting over guys who's making it easy in college. You kind of don't shoot contested shots. We all know that maybe there's one guy on the floor who can shoot the contested one. And I was just never. I said, Paul, how do you get your shot off? How do you do this? Remember Paul went on to tell me that I really don't see who's in my way. Once I get some spot, I raise it and I shoot and the man is one of the greatest players we've ever seen. Probably one of the greatest scores we ever seen because that's so when I watched that grove Georgia's, we talked about that maturation from Brandon Ingram. Oh, man, that's that's special and bully me. I'm coups Magai I believe has the biggest impact, but he has more potential. But you lose potential than Brandon Ingram? I believe Ingram Koumas better right now, his Ingram, Sean Ingram is better right now to see. He surprising me. Yeah, Ingram is better. Right now, I think coups because you play, he played three years or whatever wasn't college just based on age alone can't have more potential than, no, you get what you get. He's he's a safe bet. He's consistent if I want the guy who's gonna get me a eighteen to twenty point score night, you know, seven, eight rebounds big shooter NBA. I couldn't ask for more out of him, but if I want a guy that could be the next, the Durant, the next successor to LeBron puts intially you know, in the next four years, per se, or however long he wants. I'm looking at Ingram, so the way I look at it as this way, if you look at the championship level teams in the NBA, right? Yes. A lot of them acquire guys via trade or free agency or whatever, but they always have one of those cornerstones as a draft pick. Okay. You know, go back to the. I mean the Lakers. Right? Kobe's a draft trade, but Kobe was there. Yeah. Yeah, they bring in, you know shack? Yup. Shack was first, and then I'm sorry, they go train for pal. Right. And then next one was what Boston's Paul Pierce was already there. He goes there. Yeah. Then after that, who you have Miami. Right. Dwayne, Wade was already right the next one. After that the goals they worse. I mean, hell they, they have a bunch of guys. They did Steph curry, Klay, Thompson, Draymond, green. They bring in Kevin Durant later with this Laker team, Brandon Ingram needs to be that guy. I think one of them needed to emerge and I thought Brandon Ingram was most likely to emerge because I think he's just got the more most well rounded game of all these guys. So I think that this needs to happen for them to be successful and eventually when a championship, Brandon Ingram needs to take that step, knock can hear that. You do need..

"I mean, like the, they're both forwards and the list of forwards in the west is brutal. True. So so trying to get any LeBron's an automatic slot, Kevin Durant, automatic slot, Carmelo Anthony. I just once a year respond. He signed today by the way, if you didn't know. Yes, he's eight. He he's going to be with the Houston Rockets. Did you hear that breaking news breaking news, but there's joking. There's essentially one Ford slot left. If you're allowed to go position lists at all for four that that final Ford slot and Kyle Kuzma Brandon Ingram is not going to end up getting voted in, but I'm just it just absurd to me that you look at Ingram as a writer in a guy who people who watch basketball and within the next year you say that's the next likely guy of that young nucleus of the guy. I said, look at those February splits, almost nineteen points a game, five rebounds five. Assists a block over fifty percent from the field and three. I don't expect them to maintain fifty percent from three point range, but all those other numbers to me don't seem impossible, especially with all the attention. It's going to be on the bron- while LeBron's beta right now. He's looking to lesson. I sound like eight right now. Go ahead. Hodie do it against. What do you do it against in February? Yeah, every every played in February. Talk. Feno. Andy, you're smart, Andy. I expect smart. Andy to know everything. Okay. I have very high expectations of, I don't know the entire breakdown schedule when we played February, say the most amazing thing. Sometimes I'd just incredibly high you. Thank you. But I mean, those are legit numbers what he put up in it. You know somebody who covered the team watched every single game the the improvement and all the different things that Ingram adds to his skill set. It's one of the reasons I'm so excited to see him learn how to be an all around player from LeBron James who's one of the greatest all round players in the history of the game. Amen. Amen. I, he's gonna have a lot of growth, but if you remember it, we're projecting this year. Nobody knew coups was name as this. This was Ingram's year and Kyle Kuzma bust onto onto the summer league scene and he bawled out shooting. Threes gins the ram. It's like, who is this guy? But we all sat back and looked at it because we were all their Vegas. We said it's only some really not be excited. Well, the same thing that's do did it summer league. He didn't season and Brandon Ingram seem to keep pressing and pressing and and trying to make things happen. And coups MMA came in refined ready and made things happen. Now if I had to look for a sailing, Brandon Ingram all day. Okay, he's got. He's got a Kevin Durant, like, you know, new MBA Jaanus he's, he's in that tall, six, ten, six, eleven wingspan range e, you know, positions type of frame, but cools Ma, I keep saying refined. That means he's ready now. You're gonna see Koumas best basketball a lot earlier a lot sooner and you're gonna know what you're going to get out of him. The safest thing for today's NBA and will really bothers me about Ingram and with all due respect, this is all players. You gotta be able to shoot the distri shoot the three as coach been handled. Shook the SRI. You gotta be able to stroke the three, right? He can knock that thing over last year, branding, finished thirteenth among forwards of from fan, voting Cowboys, finished eleventh. You'll know things are going well. If both of them just rising those rankings, especially because it's gonna be a lot of attention on this team. You know, the Lakers always get watched, but with LeBron their meal out of focus on him. So just it's interesting just to think about how those guys their profiles will raise in and of itself. I don't think he's been on land Stevenson right now. I'm not. I'm not having this debate with. Brandon Ingram versus Wade's Stevenson Bank that is not what people tune into. We aren't gonna talk though in anticipation of are expected six o'clock call with Gilbert arenas. We're gonna talk who Ray. Oh, we're gonna. Talk a little card games going bad in the NBA and get your perspective of how this stuff can go. Sideway ain't it's ugly, ugly. I'm sure it's ugly ADA Kevin, Eski Brian Hollands. He is. Hey, Andy, we're back chest to get. I know I'm just get. I'm just a little just listenable indicate Manetzky Ryan, Hollins afternoons, ESPN LA and everybody.
