"Kohlschreiber by those six on your wake up, call Kay. If I am 6 40 live everywhere on the radio up, Eric. It's risky. Good morning to you walk us through the basics. What exactly is a 9 11 style investigation into the attack on the Capitol last month. Well, it would be a a Ninja Pendant commission to investigate thoroughly. What happened provide a full accounting of the events of the sixth and what led up to it and its aftermath. To the American public and make recommendations for preventing it and for more more effectively securing the Capitol building itself and also members of Congress who who believe some of them that their lives have been put at risk. Because of the kinds of violence that was laid bare on on on that on that day, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi will probably need some legislation to establish this commission and funded But I think there are multiple goals. You know. On one hand, the impeachment trial put together the narrative, but by failing to call witnesses, it lacked a full accounting from the people who lived it from various perspectives, and that could include former vice President Mike Pence. To the custodial staff that had to clean up the mess. And all of their their words and actions in theory could be compiled into a into a single document. Okay, I'm what I guess we were talking about Wayne resident and I were talking about this yesterday. What would be the outcome that I guess that they are looking for? If you've already arrested most of the people who were involved in this And you already know who you are. You've already had an impeachment trial and the president former president was acquitted. What? What is the endgame on this? If you kind of already know who the players are. I think the endgame is is a full accounting and and to understand more fully. What happened. I think very much the same is you know what The Columbia accident Investigation Board when when the space shuttle broke apart or the 9 11 Commission or you know, the the assassin of the assassination of JFK. It's to get a full The full narrative of what occurred not just you know the video montages. Um but for example, one question that the former president's lawyers could not answer, they said. Was what did the president know? And when did he know it on what actions did he take or not take, And I think the goal of such a commission would be to more fully understand those questions. On one end for Democrats, that may be a way to to, you know, kind of a last chance to try and hold former president Trump accountable even if it's not, you know, in a with any kind of constitutional or criminal penalty. But it could also be a way to to help the American public figure it out. And then always with the goal of these commissions is to figure out how to prevent it from from repeating itself. You know, I wonder, too if just with the division that is in our country right now, even if you were able to, even if Democrats were able to go look, this is what President former president Trump knew, and he didn't do anything about it and whatever there's still going to be this fraction of the American public. Who aren't gonna believe it. Lean on, you know, And just like there's some people that don't believe 9 11 was real or that the school shooting sudden you know, in park Lender or Newtown were real. I mean, There's always going to be Doubters and conspiracy theorists, but I think the goal here is to just get the best and fullest picture you can sew so that people have a sense of what happened. I mean, everybody you know, may have watched it in real time. But for example, we still don't know. Fully how Brian Sick Nick died. We don't know. Um You know what caused certain injuries to others we've heard from, I think to Capitol police officers who've spoken publicly about the hand to hand combat. They were involved with. What about the others? Um, you know, we know what the FBI has alleged many of the defendants have have done, but maybe we could hear from them in a fuller capacity about their their intentions. And and then the politicians themselves. We have one statement from one member of Congress read into the record of the impeachment trial. Let's hear from Kevin McCarthy about his conversation there directly with former President Trump. You could imagine that that Mike Pence would make a compelling interview. Or, um or or anyone else who experienced the whole thing in ways that haven't been fully tapped yet, But I, you know, I think you're right Look, the broad narrative is known. And you're either you know, into the notion that Trump incited it or not, Um, but there have been bipartisan calls for I think more just more information will any of those people any of the lawmakers any of the cops that were involved? Any of them? Will they also be involved in the criminal cases against the people who actually attacked the capital that day? Um Well it I don't think so. I don't unless they're calling witnesses. A trial in other words. Yeah. So that's what I was thinking. Is that if we're already getting their testimony on one side trying to see if you know for doubling up, But if we're not then Yeah. Then that would be two completely different investigations or spaces, I guess. Where we would hear from people we wouldn't hear from in the criminal cases. Yeah, The difference in the I think between commission style inquiry and criminal cases is the scope. I mean the Criminal cases have all been brought individually. So they are not one collective case. You know where you know 200. People are going to sit on the dock at the same time as these have all been brought, Um Individually. So the narrative while similar, does focus on the actions of individuals and you don't quite get the broad sweep. You know, we've been able to put some of it together by reading all the court documents and kind of You know, like the house managers pulling it all together, But I think the goal of beated to do that in one volume. All right, Erin, Thank you. So much for explaining all of that. Thanks. All right. See you later. ABC is Aaron Carter Ski See, There are a lot of questions about this one. The one that we still don't know is the cost of it all. Who funds it? How's it get funded and like Aaron said House Speaker Pelosi will have to probably get legislation to go forward with this. And so, you know. We'll keep an eye on how it goes. And Yeah, do we all want more answers from exactly how things went down that day? Of course. That's human nature. We all want to know. Are we going to learn much more than we already know that? I don't know. Right. Let's get back to some of these stories coming out of the cave If I 24 hour news room, President Biden is expected to release an immigration reform bill this week that would give citizenship to 11 million undocumented immigrants. NBC says the bill would also include the refugee resettlement program and provide more technology from the US Mexico border. "You needs heavily impacting traffic will Kohlschreiber KFI in the sky is going to tell you. I think moving both directions. Completely shut down your neighbors at Union Station. Kris Ankarlo, KFI News Radio station. KFI AM six forty more stimulating talk. This is the mckellar show or annual Grammy spectacular. But we'll do it the night before talking about what's really going on behind the scenes what it means to be a voting member a nominee, even a winner. Does it matter does it mean anything something at all? Joining me in studio I have two Grammy winners. Michael Anthony Taylor on a Grammy for DC talk's album was solo solo solo it it's the two thousand one to two thousand two in also Mark Kibble one of the original members of the Capella group, take six eight time Grammy award winner twenty one time Grammy nominee, I'm going to say that every damn segment up for two Grammys tomorrow denominations count. We'll get nominated for four. Give them. In the last segment, we were discussing just an artist how an artists can end up broke after selling so many records, and it's a it's a cutthroat business, but let's move forward. And let's say you get past that first hurdle, and you have a song which sticks and it receives the the acclaim of your peers because the Grammy's were voted on by the peers. So you get nominated say that again mo- the Grammys are voted on by your right? It's not sales at eight. The jam. You liked it? Larry popular has nothing to do with. It has to do with the voting. Members of the National Academy of Recording Arts and sciences. Do they respect you enough to put your name down? And then put a check by. Now, the the process itself has changed over the years. We're going to talk about the most recent change in just a moment. But the first time you're nominated. I guess we'll start with you, Mark. What did it mean to you what it mean for you? And did it change anything around for us? It absolutely did not only that first year where we nominated for two regular categories, but we were one of the best new artist nominees. That was incredible. That was because I was actually the first time a gospel group, and we were all gospel back then got gets nominated for something on that level. So it was amazing. And what actually did for us? Was it? Brought the is to what we were doing. And it brought a lot of sales. They were like, oh it did that. Oh, yeah. It mattered. Then it apps. Absolutely mad. That's how you know. That's you know, if if you're the next best thing sliced bread and people on the ground swell is you? Okay. You got to hear this. They just got nominated for this just one this year. It brings a lotta is in a lot of attention. And they come to your shows because they gotta check you out is a performer, Michael you are a songwriter. Producer is is it the same for you, though, it changed because now you're talking about the labels inside inside seeing you as a valid moneymaker for them from the standpoint of. Take six and then another group and then me doing another group and then another group. So now, I'm actually a part of the label's machine goatee. You can sell that, you know, Grammy nominated for Grammy award winning, and they tout that stuff. Because that means something even to their shareholders. You know, we always talk about the shareholders of the company. That's right. That's right. All of that. That's what this stuff goes. I wish we had a label person here that's really hard because they would tell the real truth. He do his name's Mookie. I mean, like, a major labor like one of the major labels. We know that the winds. They mean something to the fans they mean something to the artists they mean something to the manager and lawyers, but to the label heads to the Clive Davis's to the Doug Morris's, Jimmy. I write to them when they go in April and meet with the owners of the labor, which is usually go universal. What's the Universal Pictures university? You meeting with those shareholders, and you're able to say look Eminem. My kid likes Eminem is another ten million that that that that hyping of it? I said Grammy's are have bully turned into marketing now. Yeah, they're they're marketing, they're marketing of the music groups there used to be a time, and I could qualify this umbrella because I produce some things where if you had six selections like either be six songs on album or six or just like a talk radio a like a a talk album or something like that you could qualify for membership to be a voting member recorded National Academy of sciences. I don't know if that's true anymore. No. They've chased it. They've now made it a lot more like the motion picture academy. Now, you need members to endorse you. So it's not enough. Just to say you will on a record is. That's all it took. I didn't know that. Yeah. They've changed last year. So. I found out because someone hit me up and say can you can you sponsor Mickey? Someone's got to recommend. Yeah. So it's it's getting it's going to be real tight. Now. It's starting to get both of you to recommend me. If I want to go ahead and get my voting membership. But you didn't do it. When you could what is that too late? Goodness. It's not ever join our socio member. And then when I was working for tavist, Molly, he produced some albums and everything to be in the. Yeah. Because they put up the product for award consideration. I think Dr west got nominated. Yeah. Yeah. Wait, do radio programmers. No. No. You got to be a part of the creative process. Some music you create. I see the create Wallace not too late. It's not too late. The okay. So with that in mind before we go to this next break. The membership process has changed, but has the value of the nominations since your first nomination has that changed for the artists or a producer slash writer. And I'll tell you in about two months. Oh, okay. Has there been a separation though in between your nominations you got to this year? It's been a while the last one that we got before this was probably like eight or nine begin. Okay. Ten years in between. The separation, you know, and and I'll tell you, you know, some of the Grammy's met a lot more as far as attention. And you know, what it could actually do for our career than others. Those first ones they meant everything, you know, by the time, we got down to the fifth and sixth one. Well, we got a Grammy. Do anything for a sale? Nah. It didn't do anything. Yeah. Is the meteor at that for that first nomination still matters at least for that artists, and it matters. Now, I would say the nomination has more political clout than the actual statue. It sounds crazy. But I'm telling you it does because everyone gravitates all my God. Because here's the thing. Once in wants to Windsor announced loses done the deals done. But not knowing not knowing I mean, man, you can get advances. I'm telling you, you can those labels are loving. The fact that their product is up. Let's talk about some of the more contemporary artists when we come back there situations and what a win and maybe a a record of the year song of the year. Best new artist category might do for them in a present day since because the businesses changed in many ways, we got three sixty deals as opposed to just straight record deals. It's a different business out there. So Grammy might have a different level of impact. Possibly joining me in studio. We have two Grammy winners. Michael Anthony Taylor. Mark. "You need heavily impacting traffic will Kohlschreiber KFI in the sky is going to tell the ethics moving both directions. Completely shut down your neighborhood Union Station. Kris Ankarlo, KFI News Radio station. Donald John kobylt Ken chiampou KFI AM six forty so finisher mollenbeck on and he had covered the. The council meeting today where they discussed the typhus outbreak except they largely avoided the word typhus, and they completely avoided vagrants who create the typhus problems because of their lack of hygiene. They don't wanna stigmatized. The news media in town here is just terrible. And again, I don't know if if it stupidity laziness, they're part of the PC culture. Maybe all three two TV reports where in one vagrants aren't mentioned at all. And the other mentioned very briefly in passing and just to give you a background here. I went to the CDC website, CDC dot gov. And if you look up epidemic typhus. It's an uncommon disease caused by bacteria. It's spread to people through contact with infected body lice or fleas. Epidemic. Typhus was responsible for millions of deaths in previous centuries. It's now considered rare. Now, here's the important part. Occasionally cases continue to occur in areas. Where extreme overcrowding is common. And body lice or fleas could travel from one person to another. That's what you have here. You have to have extreme overcrowding of vagrants in unhappy genyk circumstances. There's a reason we have toilets and indoor plumbing and and watering, soap, and there's a reason we have a sore system. That's what people used to die. The other element is with all their trash the rodents. Come then the rodents, the fleas hop on the roads, and there's your typhus. Then the fleas hop around. They can you hop onto people and they bite they bite the rats catch the catch the defense. They bite the person. Now, the person has the typhus, and that's how it should it be explained. By news department television, news to television could be great at explaining this to people they can have graphics and charts showing how the vagrant leaves the garbage and leaves the feces on the sidewalk here comes the rat feet. The garbage in the feces inside there is the typhus bacteria. Then the the fleet hops on the rack can't you see this little cartoon, they could create and then. Then the flea runs up a woman's leg. Working at an office in city hall. And there you go. But they don't do this because they're all clotted up with their PC called BS. Oh, no. We don't want to stigmatize the Vegas. You have no idea how many millions of people typhus killed back in in the middle ages right up until the nineteen hundreds. And it was always the same thing. Overcrowded people and a lack of hygienic circumstances. So we're going to prove this you. We're going to start. Let's start with channel five to channel five has an outright. No mention of homeless here. Typhus outbreak in downtown. Los Angeles.

"On the ground. He's heavily impacting traffic will Kohlschreiber KFI in the sky is going to tell you. Both directions for what I want completely shut down your neighbors at Union Station. Kris Ankarlo, KFI News Radio station. John and Ken show. John kobylt and Ken chiampou KFI AM six forty. Yes, absolutely voice line about fifteen minutes. I was just reading a fascinating story about how preschoolers Kenyatta flip ridge. Have predicted the Super Bowl winner. And apparently, they did it last year too. It's very good. It's very simple. The staff at the school hides forty eight mini footballs at a nearby park. That would be twenty four with the Rams footballs and twenty four patriot little footballs and then the children go hunt for them. They're given five minutes and whatever team they find the most football's that's the winner. So they found they found twenty one ram football's compared to fourteen patriot footballs. And that's the final score. You can thank on its is good anything else. And this worked how many years two years? Guess they did it last year the end the year before they did it. Correct. Okay. Well, that's that's enough of a sample size. I think it's clear thing. You can count on. Go ahead. What Conway will probably bet based on that little preschoolers finding many footballs that could be as a system is. All right. Oh, we just we just heard on Monday. We're gonna have a great guest on the program. It's an attorney who works for the city of LA who got typhus thanks to skid row. The homeless problem the rats and all of that join us on Monday. She was featured in a story by Joe Grover of NBC four investigative team on update on typhus. There's so much garbage near city hall that rats have taken over, and there's fleas on the rats and the fleas have the typhus, and they bite people. Garcetti doesn't have enough money to fumigate the city told Joe Grover months ago that we're really working hard on this. We're gonna get we're going to clean up the garbage and they cleaned up the garbage for a short time. But now, it's all back and the vagrants are back. So the so the so the rats are back, and then you have the fleas and the typhus as the fleas and carry the typhus, and they bounce off the rats and onto the people, and that's the garbage vagrants. Bring the garbage the garbage brings the rats the rats bring the fleas the flays bring the typhus, isn't that guy. A children's story. David Goldstein should have been careful because we played his report. Remember, the Boston sitting idle here in Burbank is a possum living in it carry the fleas that have the typhus to you. Gotta be careful that was a nasty looking angry. Possum? Oh, you did. Take a look at it. I watched the video. Yeah. It really was burying its teeth. It looked like it would rip your neck open. I always out running was about a week ago. I mean. I run fairly early. But it was a weird day in that in the hour that Iran, I ran into both the possum indirect Coon. What are the odds of that? And what I'm running? I'm looking I'm like, that's a pretty large cat. What's a freaking raccoon? And I'm like, I'm not going near that. They're really ugly yet. Oh, yeah. This possible in David Goldstein's. By is sure nasty looking this possum saw me coming because I think they can hear the vibrations on the sidewalk, and he just took off and went right down into the sewer whole drain whole this on the side of disappeared where they live. That's where they go. That's right Garcia should be. City councilman holder meetings. So we we have finally the feds I run to stand. This is the first time we did this story. Several you what we did the story. But apparently it takes a while for the indictments to come through. You gotta get a grand jury this story a lot of years ago, though, it's been a long time. You got. Yes. Well, the guy's name is Don Juan. That's a great first name, no deal. N G. Why wouldn't you pronounce it? Just like, Don, Juan Dongwon Dong'guan Dongwon Lee. He had it. This is called you win USA coaching pregnant Chinese women had to get into the US to deliver babies who of course, become American citizens. The one thing I didn't know about this story is and this is interesting. It has grave national security concerns. You might say why grave? Tracy. Good word that apparently a lot of the customers right of the birth tourism worked for the Chinese government. They didn't secure American citizenship for their children who can move back here in spy on us. How's that? Oh, yeah. Yeah. I bet you that was a new angle to the story that probably was the plan. That is the plan. They still are communists. You know? Well, yeah, they're sending their setting little communist babies here. Right. And didn't they hack Sony, whatever? Or that was the North Korea was the North Koreans, but they're communist too. Yeah. You know what? But if that was the government plan it wouldn't surprise me though. No. So it says over two years the guy I mentioned Dongwon Lee, he raked in millions to the business. Well, these were well. It's a woman. It was a guy's name one. Why did I do that? Don. No way. You didn't get it. Now. It's. Oh, oh, I thought you were saying Don the whole time. Mothers to be paid between forty thousand and eighty thousand that come to California. Now, this was the Irvine story. Remember that these redid the raids these are really wealthy families. Yes. And they wanted their kids to be citizens. So they could go to American private school. Oh, you know. And they expected him to be geniuses and make a lot of money, right? They also rested Jindong. Forty two. J? I N G D O N G. Apparently when jeez common and Michael way, you Alea Michael way, they own something called USA, happy, baby. This this was where they were. So it's win USA USA happy baby. This is where they renting a house at the end of a cul de sac. Fine. And also in Rancho Cucamonga the departments. And they would they would they would chop up the the inside of the house into ten rooms and each room would be for a mom, and yes, that's where they'd live until it's time to take into the hospital and they'd get birth. That's true. And then they would they would come back, and I think they supplied, nurses, and all kinds of medical care for them. Oh, by the way, they used an undercover federal agent who posed as a pregnant Chinese citizen. Oh that was a good one. That's how they got on the inside of this story. This guy paid cash point one million dollar home in Irvine. Today's like a pillow under the shirt. They could have been pregnant anyway doctors did they have. The undergo you mean. Pretending to be a pregnant woman could have been an agent that happened to be they said, we're going to great job for you. Then. Yeah. When we come back. They're putting the stethoscope on the pillow. You're a heartbeat. This wouldn't have happened. Let's Trump was president. You see what how we have a full indictment. Yeah. I know I took a long time. It did voice lines coming up. Yeah. John and Ken show KFI. Debra.

"Bergener on the ground heavily impacting traffic will Kohlschreiber KFI in the sky is going to tell you the ethics moving both directions. Completely shut down your neighbor by Union Station. Kris Ankarlo, KFI news KFI an iheartradio station. The Johnny cash show. Yes. You look it up. John kobylt Ken chiampou KFI AM, six forty. The voice line. It'll be here. Three days. Regathering? Those calls were harvesting the moist like one eight one eight five voice nine that's one eight one eight five six six four seven eight nine we play some back at five twenty and five fifty on Friday. They mentioned before after four o'clock we will once again, sadly have to revisit the Kevin Cooper murder case. God is the inmate who has been on death row. A real long time since one thousand nine hundred eighty S nineteen Eighty-three stabbing death of four people in chino hills. And it was a family along with one house. Guests a little boy eleven year old Christopher use his mother will join us once again Marianne uses but on this show a lot over the years. Forty eight hours just did a special last weekend on the case where everyone believes not everyone. But obviously people believe that Kevin Cooper may have been framed, and we should continue and continue to retest evidence. Even though that's already been done many times. DNA test. Anyway, we'll talk to Marianne will play a clip from forty eight hours to show some of the bias coming up after four o'clock about a week ago. I saw a story which got my interest. But I thought I could do it on the air. And then it happened again yesterday same kind of story, and I think there's something missing from this and the coverage of it, then I think is important and worth pointing out. Everyone is probably at one time or another gotten onto a plane and had a fat seat-mate. Maybe a really fat Nate now like them, which makes life uncomfortable. I would say if you have one on each side of you and you're in the middle seat that's super uncomfortable. Apparently. That's what happened with the United Airlines passenger. Who was stuck between two large passengers and gun on her phone? I guess before the plane took off and was complaining loudly about her fat seatmates, and this gets turned into a fat shaming story. Which is the thraw. Do not fetching apparently is happened last week the genders were reversed. There was a man sitting next to a large woman, and he did the same thing you've got on his phone and started complaining and she just had enough. How dare you fat shaming? How dare you be like five thousand? Yes. You gotta go back on offense. When they start screaming about fat agreed. They are so selfish the people who do this. They're credibly selfish. Well, this is you want. But if you're going to start lopping over into the seat and crushing against me. Screw you. You're too fat. I don't want your fat rubbing up against my body. I don't want it spilling over the top of the arm rest or comes through underneath the arm rest. And then it's really difficult to get past you if I need to leave my seat, and may I say and this is not a blanket indictment. I wanna may I say I say that some of the people, especially the guys I know it's coming, you know, what's coming one of the characteristics of having out of control weight. Well, let's say let's just say out of control weight is a characteristic of someone who doesn't take care of themselves, and it's not just in their food habits and their diet, but they don't care of their hygiene people stinking, and it's really hard when you have a wad of fat LOP at around two to clean the crevices properly. And you know, gunk builds up in between the roles there. I think this is part of this stupid PC movement going on for far too long that if somebody's extra-large you can never call him out on it, really when they are taking up all the seats. And I'm getting crushed when you live freight, not, that's an exception. When you literally crossed the line and your lap it over into my seat, then it's fair game because you're acting selfish, and you are taking away my real estate here. I need that. You know, the seats are purchased to see exactly if you're that big. You're obviously being twice as much food is everybody else, then you ought to buy plane tickets. Well, let's listen. The three hundred bucks. And you could have two seats turns out from what I remember reading this particular story, the passenger they complained was removed typical because because we live in this in this victim world where everybody is a victim. If they hear something that upsets them that triggers them. The way the story. Is.
