Jeff Katz: Pres. Trump Declassified Things He Wanted Us to See
"I think personally that some of what you are seeing. Is an effort to make sure that the American people do not see things. That president Trump declassified a whole bunch of stuff that he wanted us to see. And now they're those in D.C. at the highest levels Merrick Garland. Joe Biden staff. I don't know that anybody told Joe Biden about this. I mean, look, I got to be honest on this one, right? I don't know that anybody notified Joe Biden and quite frankly, even if they did, he wouldn't remember 90 seconds later, so it probably doesn't make any difference. But you need to tell me that the former president of the United States going to have his house raided and the chief of staff to the current president, Ron klain doesn't know. I don't buy that for a second. So

Abbott Says Agreement Reached to Reopen Michigan Baby Formula Plant
"Abbott agrees to FDA oversight of Michigan baby formula plant. Look, they signed a consent decree yesterday to reopen the Michigan Abbott plant. That consent decree could have been signed a month ago, Abbott is strenuously protested from the beginning that their infant formula had nothing to do with the infant death being investigated across the country. The FDA was using at moving at its usual snails pace, its bureaucratic morass, plunging the country into a baby formula crisis that is real. So they got an order. It's pretty easy to surmise here what happened. Ron klain or someone from the president's office called over to the FDA and said, open that plant. And the FDA said, how do we save a little face here? I know we'll do a consent decree that says they can open the plant. And so their plant will be up and it's going to take a while.

Could 'Big Guy' Joe Biden Be Implicated in Hunter Biden Scandal?
"Funny. How when we dive into these stories, we're supposed to believe that all of a sudden the Department of Justice has found a backbone and found a spine and they now have a moral compass. Of course not. This is all done for a reason. It was always looming over Biden in case he became too unpopular and they gave him a shot. They said, maybe Biden will kind of be a popular president. Maybe he'll be helpful. And then we'll cover it up. I mean, you look at the crimes that the obamas committed, the crimes that the clintons have committed. They only get prosecuted when they're no longer near power or important to power. Now they can get discarded, but if they are still trying to get near power and they're unpopular or there are threat to their aims and ambitions, Andrew Cuomo, them, get them out of the way. It's a waste of time. But it's no longer just Hunter Biden. It's no longer just hunter. Instead, we are now seeing the grand jury investigation because of the thumbs up because of the go get them clearance, you're starting to see all of a sudden Joe Biden potentially be implicated in this. Alongside Ron klain and others play cut 52. Let's go back to 2020, the New York Post then released a bombshell report on a loosely coated email written by one of Hunter Biden's business partners. He discussed the equity distribution on a deal with a Chinese energy conglomerate. It included this question. Ten held by H for the big guy. Now last week, The Washington Post confirmed that $4.8 million in payments from that same Chinese company made their way to Hunter Biden and the president's brother James. This weekend White House chief of staff Ron claim came to bat for the family. Of course the president's confident that his son didn't break the law. But most importantly, as I said, that's a matter that's going to be decided by the Justice Department by the legal process. It's something that no one at The White House has involvement in.

How Joe Biden Just Helped Make Putin Dictator for Life
"While you were probably having an enjoyable weekend, you might have missed the fact that Joe Biden might have communicated one of the most clear and actually is anything but clear. One of the biggest foreign policy blunders of the last 30 to 40 years. Joe Biden went to Europe and he went to hopefully try to unite the NATO countries and to try to bring forth some form of peace. But it said Biden did the exact opposite. You see, here's a good rule of thumb. If the United States government was serious about anything, they should just not have Biden talk. Okay, he's president, they implemented him. Massive shenanigans, massive cutting of corners in the 2020 election. We've gone into all of that and you guys can listen to our conversation with dinesh d'souza to go more into that. Okay, he's president. That doesn't mean he has to talk. Biden being president is one thing actually giving him a microphone is a completely different thing. Who's the handler for Joe Biden exactly? Is it Ron klain? Is it Jen Psaki, probably not, Valerie Jarrett? Whoever's doing the handling of Joe Biden? They need to make sure that he no longer is able to speak publicly because he did exactly what Putin would want him to do this weekend. So Joe Biden went to Europe. He went to Europe and gave a series of speeches, and there was one 15 second portion of his speech that has gone completely, not just viral, it is now policy. Now, we've talked a lot about the dangers of regime change. We've talked about a lot on this program how, when the United States is involved in regime regime change, more times than not, there are issues, power vacuums that follow, then there is actual stability. That when you remove Muammar Gaddafi in Libya, for example, you get slave markets. You get Civil War. You get a fracturing of a country.

"klay " Discussed on The Lowe Post
"Him a traditional point guard, and he is, he is the ball plenty, but this team wants Pascal siakam create a good kicking to Fred van fleet or to Gary Trent junior and so the way to naturally get that happening more is to have the ball in siakam's hands or unseat them could do it a number of ways. In the half court, but right now, it's really, you know, there's a bit of post creation from Scotty Barnes, but it's more him at sort of the top of the ark at the free throw line with off ball movement. So I think that's getting more intricate there is probably the way to go to spice up what they're doing. Have they already won the Gary trend for norm Powell trade? I love that trade. That's a really fun trade for both teams. I love Gary Trent is you can really shoot, he's got a little old school mid range game. He's got big cojones as Tim McMahon would say, that's an interesting choice. But how has either of you done the oral history of the gravest Vasquez? That trade needs like a 4000 word oral history for people who don't know the raptors somehow swindled the bucks into taking grave as fast as an exchange for a first round pick that became anon ob, and a second round pick that became norm Powell who is now going to here's why that oral history can't happen. First of all, masalia Jerry will never say God the record. Yeah, gravest might be the entire oral history. He'll just talk for he'll do a 20 minute battle and that will be the oral history, but also John Hammond I believe was the box GM at that time, and now he's the top aide to Jeff waltman, who was mess closest for added basketball pretty much. So I don't think that's going to happen unless we're heavily on the OG Adobe quotes, which seems worrisome from my perspective. You ask gravest about it and I guarantee starts with, well, you see a couple seasons before I had led the league in assists. Which is basically his catch phrase. Right? Or yeah, there were the hornets at that point I think still, but yeah, he had 700 assists that year. One of the reasons I like talking to you guys is there are going to conservatively say 38 people in the world who still have fond memories of the raptors bench mob involving delon Wright and siakam and pearl in like three of them are here right now and Eric karine, it's gonna be 2050 and somehow you're gonna find a way to refer to Ed Davis is boss without even his last name. You'll just tweet starting for the Cavs tonight. Darius Garland, or like available for the capsule and just boss. And the number of raptors fans who get that is dwindling, but the fact that you do not care, just like I don't care that people don't get my Seinfeld jokes anymore. I want to reward the people who have been paying attention. That's what like any good, you know, let's face it, we're providing entertainment for the people, whether it's, you know, fancy stats on our tablet or narrative based on our table. It's just a television show. So let's reward the people who really care. That's what I'm saying. Yeah, by the end of the first run of Arrested Development before they did the reboots, it was basically just all winks to the audience that had stuck around at that point. It's fine. And hey, it's not like at Davis's irrelevant. Didn't I see his contract got guaranteed for the rest of the season the other day? Yeah, veteran veteran leader. That's a real thing. At Davis, get that playoff share, baby. All right, well, before I let you guys go, let's open the floor to either of you. Is there any element of this team or this franchise that we have not discussed? It sounds like we all sort of agree holding pattern and that's good and this team has an interesting single season upside next season upside. They've played I'm looking up now. They played the fourth toughest schedule in the league. It's been a little heavy on home games for whatever that means for the raptors. I don't know, but whenever they've played a tough schedule, I don't put too much stock into playoff odds and all that, but they've got a decent chance of being in the top 6. Is there either of you before we close? Is there any aspect of this team any player we haven't talked about that you think is particularly salient? Yeah, I think the most interesting thing about them for this next month is are they a completely stand pat team or are they tweak at the margins team? And this doesn't include drag to they're gonna flip him for matching salary in a second or they're gonna buy them out after with enough wiggle room to be able to sign a 14th and 15th guy onto the tax, like one of those things will happen. I don't think it's really related to what we're talking about here, but you look at this team and right now, they start that really interesting 5 man lineup when everyone's healthy and then three of their top four guys off the bench are quote unquote small centers or large power forwards. So there's obviously an imbalance there which you can maybe resolve by starting Cambridge and bringing Gary Trent junior off the bench. But Gary Trent junior has overperformed that discussion at this point. You work that out with rotations and stuff. You don't demote quote unquote to moat. Gary Trent junior to the bench. But what you may be look at is like a guy like Chris Boucher, we talk about the timeline of siakam and van vleet. Boucher's turns 29 on Tuesday. And he's on an expiring contract. He would come with bird rights if you trade him. And I don't love the value management of giving up on a guy like malachi Flynn a year and a half into his career. But if you're not going to trust him with backup point guard minutes, even when you're really, really thinned out, maybe the move is you try to find a home for Boucher that gets you back a functional bench guard so that you can balance out those two units a little bit and have a little less playmaking responsibility on your big wings if you get to a playoff situation. So I'm not saying that's necessarily has to be done, but I do think it's an interesting discussion for the raptors of like, hey, are we standing pat standing pat or do we think we're good enough that there's a basketball trade to be made here that doesn't pull from future assets, but maybe isn't entirely like it can be present oriented as well..

"Playing in Brazil, I think. I hope he's living out a mope he's living his best life. First round contract, baby. Beside gets no no pushback for the Bruno pick, and I think that's, by the way, correct. You brought a title to Toronto and some of those picks if you take shots are gonna miss that was a shot on another 6 8 positionless dude. And it didn't work out, that's fine. The pick, by the way, that hurts right now is not that one. It's malachi flew in over Desmond bay and they're one of like 55 teams with Desmond Bain envy, including international teams, I guess. So I agree with both of you. I am in no hurry to break up this team. I think the raptors are decent. I think this 6 game winning streak I need to put the brakes on myself because Toronto is has sort of fallen into the strangest position ever where they have no fans, but also the greatest home court advantage possible in the NBA, where teams are not bringing their best players into the country for fear of a positive test popping in Toronto. So they've gotten a little lucky schedule is, but I think this team is decent, and what is one, what is trading Pascal's the outcome for draft picks doing for me like I'm getting draft picks sure, but I'm not gonna be that bad. I'm letting this team ride. I think they're decent. Like I said they're 7th in the east spitting distance of third. They are 9th and offense. That's a shocker. 9th and offense, 20th in defense is like also a minor shocker the other way. So Eric, I'll start with you. Just how good is this team actually and what's the biggest thing like if they want to ascend to we avoid the plan and we're actually a semi frisky first round opponent. What's the biggest thing that has to improve for them in the last 40 games? First of all, I don't really get why teams are afraid to send their players to Canada, especially with the shortened, the shortened protocols, what's the difference in being in a hotel room in Toronto and Boston or anyway? That's besides the point. I don't think it should be a huge deal. I think it's been a convenient excuse for only two teams have notably done it, Golden State and Utah, and then Utah lost on the back end of a back to back against Indiana as well. So as you would like to say, Zach, don't mess with the basketball gods or the protocol gods as it might be. And Toronto, Toronto, another win in the street just to put a ball on that was in Milwaukee, no Giannis. So and that has nothing to do. Yeah, no, the last 6 wins have all been with their opponents missing a very important, if not their best player, even San Antonio didn't have to jump Murray. In terms of the thing they need to improve on the most, I think it's gotta be defense. And I asked Nick nurse and wrote about it for Monday in the athletic. And they just don't have the wraps, I think, to know what to do when they're not switching. And so some of the stuff that's happening on pick and rolls was how much attention goes to the role man. How much how far am I leaving the guy in the corner? Like sometimes like I'm always surprised when I look at the opponent three point numbers and they're not quite as bad as I expect because it seems like they are there are games where they're just getting its corner three corner three corner three above the break three to elite shooter. It seems like that's the game, but like the major things for them are offensive or defensive rebounding before last night they were the worst defensive rebounding team in the league by a hair. And fouling, which has been a problem of theirs for years, and I think as they play like this, which is aggressive ball pressure is going to continue to be a problem. So the one, I don't know if it's correctable, but the biggest issue I would say is defensive rebounding, but I don't think they're going to say, well, let's get a 7 footer to solve that problem because I think playing can birch and playing pressures at you and more to the point playing Ana no B siakam and barns across the front line like that is a feature, not a bug of what they're doing this year. So if it comes with a sacrifice, then that's fine. They don't want to be 30th, but the experiment is such that it requires finding out the limits of what they can do with this, I think. Yeah, they're trying kind of for dearth of amazing offensive talent or spacing. Like the half court offense is clunky, even when Fred's in the game. I think it's a bottom ten, half court offense. They're trying to win the possession game, right? So they're one of the lowest turnover teams in the league on offense and I think they force the second most on defense. There's four possessions right there. They're number two in offensive rebounding and we can talk about this. One of the things that makes them interesting is they've gone all in. I mean, they are all the way in, crashing the offensive glass. You can crash from the top of the arc, you can crash from the corners. There are rules. I'm sure there are strict rules that I just haven't really cared enough to figure out, but they are crashing from all directions, not all directions, but lots of directions. But they're undermining the possession advantage by being 29th in defensive rebounding. I don't know, Blake, I don't watch this team. I get what Eric is saying, they are giving up lots of threes, giving up lots of threes has been a feature of Nick nurse defense for three years now..

"He picked the warriors and so did I and I think seeing clay last night only kind of bolstered that. I think Phoenix is awesome. Utah's awesome. We'll see what the Lakers might be able to become. The grizzlies are just rolling and rolling and rolling. But I think if you ask me to pick right now who's making the finals of everyone's healthy I'm picking the warriors. Yeah, I can't see anybody else in the west challenging them if Klay Thompson shoots the way that we think he's gonna be able to shoot. And remember, you know, he's spending the last two years, all he could probably do was shoot for the majority at that time. He's going to start knocking down these shots, and he doesn't need the ball to be able to score and make those shots in this offense. I just think he's going to make him so much better. And we haven't even talked about will they play in one step rests and all these kind of mechanical things that have time to get sorted out. I do think Phoenix Utah and maybe one of those other teams can challenge the warriors for sure it could even beat the warriors, but if you have to be to pick I'm picking the words. I am younger so you can go back to LA to reconvene, I guess what the clippers for a little while, but you've been bouncing around your coverage is awesome and I'm very jealous. You got to be in the arena last night and feel I bet it shook. I bet it shook after that dunk. You know, I had a great seat too. They put us in the Cavaliers broadcast booth because it gets calves like you were saying you know they didn't send they didn't send their broadcasters on the road, I guess. And so I had like a bird's eye view of like center court. It was amazing. It was a dunk, I saw it happen. You could see it happened before it was going to happen. That's how good the seats were. And so you could see it start the sea start to really part there. And I was like, oh my God, he is not going to dunk this, is he? He's going to oh my God, he just threw down on two calves. And I'll tear it as a fellow game ops fan. I'll bet you that's in the pre game Montage for the next four years home game. It's already gonna be spliced in. Hopefully I'll see you down the line man. Stay safe and keep up the great work. Thank you, my man. The low post is brought to you by progressive, progressive.

"They take a lot of shots at the rim. They take almost no mid range shots. I almost wonder if Steve would coach Kerr would want a little bit more variety because he's had a soft spot for that mid range game when they had KD they shot it a lot. I think clay could sort of give him a little bit of optionality, but the shot that got me the most excited on the warriors fan was the three he hit in the fourth quarter relatively late, a pick and roll on the left side of the floor where his guy ran into a pick, Jared Allen didn't come up far enough and he just jacked a pick and roll off the dribble going left Jack to three off the pick and roll going left and it made it. That's there, man, that's not going, that's not going away, but yeah, their offenses hit a little bit of a rut there in a shooting slump. They're not getting to the line, they have the worst turnover in the league in the last month. And I think clay's gonna give them a little juice and just put everybody in their right place. Jordan Poole goes to the bench. Wiggins can still be the kind of defensive stopper. And now they have this closing lineup. I guess if Steph clay Wiggins draymond and just pick a guy who fits into that, maybe Wiggins isn't in there every night, but they're 30 and 9 and I just think it's a great timing for them for all the reasons you just hinted at. And what we haven't seen, but we did not get to see last night, lost in kind of the hoopla. Was that draymond did not play? And draymond, so, you know, clay have been scrimmage with Steve caret said a pivotal point in clay's return was the day when the warriors came against the nuggets was postponed due to COVID. In Denver, so they decided to scrim in Denver and Steven said clay being on the floor with everybody. It was a moment for the team that they needed to see and feel. But draymond wasn't there. He was in COVID protocols, I believe. So draymond, his first time discriminates with clay from what I gather was Saturday and draymond had told Mark spears, I felt like I was, I felt like I was just sleeping on an electrical current basically on a wire that basically was so excited to be on the floor again with clay and clay had pointed out. Yeah, you know, I can't wait to be on the floor to give him a draymond because he makes my life so much easier with all the screens he sets that I'm that much more wide open. So I can't wait to see those guys again. It should not take long for them to kind of get that feel back together where draymond is going to be opening up clay even more. Yep, and look, draymond doesn't want to shoot threes anymore, kevon Looney doesn't come on looting will take a jumper every three games and they've actually looked pretty good. 18 boards last night. He's playing great kavon split using my ten things last week, but to start two guys who don't want to shoot or can't shoot, is very rare in the NBA in 2022. And one of the things that enables the warriors to do that and obviously draymond is a Hall of Fame player he's one of the greatest passers for his position of all time, greatest defender of the last ten years, maybe. But when you have Stephan clay running around the way they do, and it's, I know we all know this, but when you watch other ball dominant players, it's just drilled out like nobody plays like Steph. Steph moves like he expects to get the ball all the time. It's almost like he has the ball when he doesn't have the ball. It turns those guys into it makes those non shooters threats at all times because they can become screeners for the two greatest shooters ever. And if you're not up on that screen, you are dead. And you mentioned the defense, that's the warriors all their offense has been kind of slumping. I think the other side of the story is, their defense has sustained. They're still number one in the league and defense by a lot. They're number four in the last month when their offense is something like, I think are they getting a little lucky with opponent shooting? Maybe opponents are shooting 33% on threes, but I look at this team. The defense, I think we have to conclude, this is the best or second best defense in the NBA. That is set. I don't think that's a fluke. And if that's not a fluke, if they're that good defensely, another rebounding has started to fade, and that was the red flag. They're going to play this small can they rebound? It started to fade a little bit, but I think the flip side of all their offense is slumping steps in Islam to three point records screw them up. Their defenses as rugged as ever. And look, I think draymond and curse said that a lot of people have always overlooked their defense during the championship years. Draymond will always remind you about that. I like the pieces they have, you know? I love that Otto Porter signing this season. I just felt like he's such a good fit for them. And I think their defense is going to be there. That's why I'm not really worried about their offensive struggles because I feel like their offense is going to come. It's going to be there. They're probably just going through this midseason kind of little rut where they're waiting to kind of get clay back and now they've got them and listen. Wiseman's around the corner. Wiseman is going to he's going to go on the trip with the warriors and he's scheduled to have his first contact practice. So that's going to be another interesting wrinkle to see how he fits in. And Stefan said, look, we got about 43 games left in the season. We still kind of don't know what we are yet, but we got 43 games to figure it out and figure out our rotations and figure out our ten man rotation and what we're going to use, which works best, all these things. And I think he's really looking forward to it. What's your favorite clay thing? Anything. Let's look at what's your favorite clay persona, what's your favorite clay tick? Like when you talk about why what is it about this guy that fans gravitate to you? To him rather. What sticks out to you? Well, I'm a dog guy, so I love the fact that dog guy too. And he said, on Saturday, he actually took his boat out and went to he took it to practice, which I just find fascinating because like I used to be fascinated with the fact that when Miami first built their arena, the new arena, American Airlines, and Pat Riley was taken his boat to the arena, you know? I just thought, oh, what a life. And so here's clay, you know, he says, oh, I took the boat it was a beautiful day. And then I took rock go out to the park. And I'm just thinking like, clay at the dog park, just amazes me. You go.

"Talk about, let's talk about that. How we looked. I thought he looked better than I expected him to look. I thought he looked great. I mean, look, the shot is the shot. My thing, I kept getting asked on my podcast and others like, well, what if clay is only like 80% of himself? Do we need to recalibrate expectations for clay? Jeff van Gundy was talking a lot about this, you know, I don't know what our expectation should be and Vis-à-vis that. Well, how much will he really nudge up the warrior ceiling if he's only like 80% of old clay? And I'm like, I think we need to, it's not like clay, if you just look at it like this like clay is coming back and he's not taking minutes from a star. You're getting 30 minutes or 35 minutes hovered ends up being when it counts of Klay Thompson and 6 of those are Jordan Poole and 5 of those are auto Porter and 6 of them are pneumonia be aliza and 5 of them are Andre Iguodala Lake. If he's just better than those guys, then it's a big net plus and he already walked onto the floor. I thought he looked awesome. The shot is the shot. I thought he looked mobile and pretty fast. He's got to get back into the rhythm of the offense, but you start to see some of that, the opening play of the second half was a Steph clay pick and roll where he flashed flared out and then made a long two out of it. Defensively, it was interesting to me that they put Wiggins on Darius Garland and put clay on lesser threats like Larry marketing and Lamar Stevens and jetty Osman, but I thought he looked I thought he looked pretty good. I thought he looked a little unsure of himself when he got switched on to Garland like he was giving him almost too much space as if he was afraid of getting blown by, but he bought it up Evan mobile pretty well. He moved his feet pretty well. I mean, like, I don't know what you thought or what the players said after the game. But to me, from afar, he looked pretty much like Klay Thompson. It's hard to imagine that a guy who does not need the ball and doesn't dribble very much and doesn't really have the ball in his hands a lot. Can make other guys better, but I think his impact on the team will do that because he's gonna open up so much more for them. And there were face guarding him last night, but wait from the ball. Like when he even when he was just standing around and I thought he did more standing around a little bit than he will do when he's back in it. But like he was standing there, there was a couple possessions in the first half I think on the left sideline when he was standing there and jetty Osman was like hugging him. And that's it. That's enough right there. Yeah. I would say that the offense looked a little stagnant at times naturally when he was on the floor early especially because obviously he's just coming back. It's not going to be as seamless. I thought it might have been even more seamless just because the dude doesn't need the ball in his hands. But I think he'll get that down. The shot, you know, look, hey, miss a lot of shots, I thought he would make. He had one little spurt where he scored 7 points. He had three shots at a row two mid range and one three, and you could tell he would start to get cooking a little bit. And so I think the shot will be there. The athleticism and the mobility was what surprised me. Defensively, he said, he thinks he's can get back to being that elite defender and he can start he felt good on that standpoint. I think that's where we're really going to kind of see how good he can be because he hasn't been challenged from that standpoint. I mean, the calves, they were going to be overwhelmed from the get go with the way that building was. So they were not going to really kind of challenge the warriors, but that's where I want to see how clay is going to do, but clay did say, listen, that dunk really kind of showed me how he said he said something like, even though I didn't dunk in scrimmages under the bright lights, I felt like I had a little more bounce. And so that was a big indicator for me and what I can do. And he said, from here on out, it's all going to be on up. And, you know, the words are like joking. He got 18 shots up in 20 minutes. And Steph said, that's so Klay Thompson. But I think they were happy to see that because and I think probably more than anyone else, Steph has got to be happy because he had really been struggling coming into this game. I mean, he had that epic two game slump where he had shot the worst he had ever shot on a two game span. Last night, he opens up the game. I think he hit like this first fourth threes or something like that. And then kind of cooled off. But I think Steph is probably looking forward to having somebody there to really kind of shift the defense off a little bit from him. I agree, I think the timing is just perfect for the warriors because they kind of have hit the doldrums of the season where the hot start and all steps Stephan draymond are back and there's clearly like they're playing great and this is their blitzing the league. That's kind of worn off in the last month. So since December 13th, so almost a month, they're actually 24th in offense for the season they're down to 11th in offense. And I think they need a little juice and clay's gonna bring that. I actually didn't even mind the turnarounds and the fading mid rangers because I wonder I'd actually be curious to ask Steve care about this. This is basically the most mathematically optimal quote unquote Golden State shot selection has ever been in terms of like they take the second most threes..

"A row for a three time champion who's had so many iconic moments, you're rooting for him. I don't care what I don't even care if you're a fan of the Cavaliers. You're rooting for Klay Thompson. And when he misses those 5 in a row, you're like, oh man, maybe this is gonna be like a one of 16 in the interviews afterwards you're gonna be like, yeah, I got a long way to go. And then this happens so continue. So he starts missing, you know, he misses three three pointers. He starts missing a little turnaround jumpers that he's normally making mid range and they're short. And so you're just kind of like, okay, well, you know, his conditioning should be good. It shouldn't be his legs. Of course, he's been offered two and a half years. And is shooting, we all thought was going to be there because by all accounts, he had been shooting great. I mean, want to kind of Anderson told us on Saturday that there was a scrimmage that clay was in and he scored 12 points in 43 seconds. He said, I looked up, we took a timeout and I go for only 43 seconds to come by. This guy scored 12 points. He's like, I can't believe we have two of these guys that can do this on the team, you know? So you heard that his shooting was going to be there. But then he starts missing these shots. And so then when it comes to the dunk, he's got Jared Allen on him, and I notice I'm like, okay, well, clay start to drive a little bit more. And so he's going to take Jared Allen, which he did. Jared Allen reaches clay blows by him. And then it's like the sea opens up. And so now he's going for the dunk. And then all of a sudden, Dylan windler and Laurie marketing come over and actually challenge the dunk. And he dunks over both of them and the place just exploded and clay had said, yeah, you know what? I didn't dunk once in all of my scrimmages. And the warriors, back when DeMarcus cousins was making his comeback with them. My assignment was basically to cover what they had called boogie season, which was basically he would scrimmage with all the coaches and whatever bodies that could scrounge up and they caught a boogie season because basically these were his games to lead up to his return. And so I'm sure clay season was the same way. So when clay said that he didn't dunk once in all the scrims and then he surprised himself by dunking this time. I was like, wow, I couldn't believe it. You mentioned Juan toscano Anderson. This is his third season with the warriors. His third season. He's never played a game with Klay Thompson before. It's amazing some of these guys have been around the warriors for so long. Last night, was their first night with clay. I'm glad you mentioned this starting lineup thing because I am with you. I am a big fan of theatrical starting lineup introductions like the bulls one from the 90s is obviously the gold standard. You and I grew up with that. It gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. And I actually blame Steph, Steph is an all time great teammate. He's an all time great player. He has punted on the theatricality of the starting 5 announcement. And look, this is routine for step. Is it like for me if I got to introduce once in an NBA arena it would be the greatest moment of my life for Steph it's every game and he's got two MVPs the whole thing. When they get to him, he's the anchor leg usually. And it's like from David, by the time they've said the word from, he's already in the huddle. He doesn't do the he's killed the whole drum. I'm like those guys. Why are you doing this? Come on. So for clay to bring it back last night and be ultra theatrical about it, I thought, I thought was cool. I thought the draymond thing was cool. And I actually, you know, you wrote about his press conference after the game. I mean, one of the reasons everybody loves clay is that he's just unfailingly honest. There is no varnish. There is no brand. There is no anything. And for him to say, it was pretty freaking close to winning a championship. It's kind of verges on like, wow, the championship thing is supposed to be sacred, winning above all else. It was a very honest revealing moment about how much he's come through. And then the thing he said about the fans, he said, you had a whole extended quote, and part of it was I feel for them and they feel for me and I could feel the empathy that they were expressing toward me for the last two years. You were in the room. Was it in the room? I wonder if you could describe it because this is like, it feels like yesterday that Klay Thompson hit 11 threes against the Oklahoma City Thunder. That was a half decade ago. I mean, this is a decade now with these guys. It's a special thing, the connection that he has with the fan base. Can you talk about what kind of question prompted that? How he looked how he was talking. So leading up to all of this, you could tell that a lot of the players knew that clay needed this. And they were looking forward to the love and now pouring he was going to get. Steph had said that when they decided on the starting line to let him go last to let clay go last, he said the moment it worked like basically it paid off. It was executed perfectly. He knew that this was going to be a moment that everything clay had been through for two years. He needed to hear that love from the fans and he deserved that moment. And it worked. And you could tell the love affair between clay and the Bay Area. I mean, I'm just trying to think like, you know, because I spent most of my career in New York and I was thinking like when we started this pot, have I ever seen anything like this, Patrick Ewing, my second year on the Knicks beat, as Frank, I sold his back up the New York Daily News. Patrick Ewing early in the season crashes and wrecks his wrist in Milwaukee..

"And now, the low hope welcome to the low post podcast on a Monday morning where the sun is shining just a little brighter, the sky is blue. And I think I know why. Klay Thompson is back with a bang 18 shots in 20 minutes for the Golden State Warriors headband clay hitting threes hitting a runner to start the game. Dunking all over the entire Cleveland Cavaliers frontline surprising himself, clay is one of the most beloved players in the last era of NBA basketball below by teammates opponents, fans, everybody appear baller to talk about the scene, the warriors, all of it, are man on the scene last night, mister om young masuk om, how are you, sir? Zach, it was awesome. It was actually, I've been covering the league now since 1997, so I'm super old, way older than I look. Thanks to my Asian jeans, but I have to say not immodest there. A very clay like start could just stating facts. Just like, it's like claiming like I'm one of the greatest shooters of all time. If it's true, it's true. Yeah, I have to say, I've been trying to think of any equivalent things that I've covered that was similar to last night and it's hard to find. Let me just start right now with the warm up, okay? You know, I'm out there in the court watching Steph go through his thing and so you know all the fans that have come into the building and all of a sudden you hear this huge roar and the corner of the building and clay sprints out I'm telling you it was like a boxer going into the ring. He comes out and the fans are roaring for him and the building is not packed yet, okay? But it's starting to fill up. And he starts circling around like a boxer in a ring and he's feeling the love and he's getting amped and he's getting pumped up. He's clapping along with them. He's waving them on, and he hits his first 6 shots. And with every shotty hits, the roar gets louder and louder to the point that Steph actually heard it and thought, what is going on? He felt the energy and he said it sounded like the game had already started. It looked awesome. And the dunk, I mean, I'm watching at my house. I almost fell out of my chair, screaming at the dunk. I don't think clay, I would I would love if we get a millisecond by millisecond by millisecond picture of clay's brain and when in the moment he realized, oh, that might try to dunk this. And I might actually be able to do it because that was like the bench reaction. I don't know if you could see from where you were sitting. I don't know if you saw it on TV. I thought Steph was just gonna run like through the crowd, like a WWE wrestler like this, sometimes they come in through the crowd. I thought he was just gonna start running, eating popcorn in the kids. He like completely lost control of himself. It was amazing. He crowd wanted anything they could get from clay to the point where, okay, so let's start with the starting lineup was awesome. They start off their normal video. And I think you know this about me Zach, I am super into game ops. So like, I love going to Rena and watching the opening videos. I mean, I watch like the axe, all that stuff during comments. But they opened the video with this little clay video. And it just gets you pumped up. And then you see draymond go through it and we'd heard he was a late scratch, but he was still going to go through the starting lineup. And I was like, oh, that's cool. And then Steph goes and you're like, oh, now it's clay. And they start sharing so loud. You can't even hear the announcer really start to go through the whole wear clay's from and how tall he is and all that. And then clay, you can see him looking up and he's soaking it all in. And so then they go through the starting lineup and it's really emotional. Then clay does the he sprints toward the basically the padding underneath the basket and jumps and kind of gives it a body check. The crowd erupts when he does that. So you knew as soon as this guy takes his first shot, this place is going to explode. And he scores on the driving runner and traffic and clay actually thought, yeah, I thought when I hit that, it was going to be one of those nice work I was going to be unconscious. But the dunk, the dunk, it's set up where he was one on one on Jared Allen and I remember watching this and I was like, okay, he started missing shots that he normally makes. 5 straight, 5 straight pieces. It was like you had this moment because you're rooting and we're going to talk later about why clay is so popular, but it's just as a neutral person, 900 whatever days off two traumatic injuries in a row for a three time champion who's had so many iconic moments, you're rooting for him. I don't care what I don't even care if you're a fan of the Cavaliers. You're rooting for Klay Thompson..

"Murray by the time the playoffs started. Why wouldn't we? You know what I mean? I doubt that there would be some heavy minutes restriction. Again, not a doctor, saw him do a windmill on Instagram. That's really all. But you look at some of the lineup data here. So the starting 5 for the nuggets, will Barton Aaron Gordon, jokic, Monte Morris, and Jeff Green. Their offensive rating, that's their number one used 5 million at this season. The offensive rating is one 21.6. That's not that does not compute in reality when it comes to assessing and analyzing how offenses function. The net rating is 9. So the defense doesn't even like that excellent. But they're just very good. Jokic is probably the conversation about who the best player in the world is. I don't think there's an answer right now to be honest with you. Certainly. No disrespect to Kevin Durant. Who I still would take above anyone for one playoff series. But Giannis is on a tear this season. He's been out of his mind. And as you said, yogic just numbers are surreal. They're like historical. If he keeps this up, he's gonna be one of the greatest players who ever knew. Can you repeat, can you repeat their offensive rating one more time? It's one 21.6. Yeah, that's higher than the warrior's death lineup with Kevin Durant in 2017. For context. That means Steph Curry Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant Andre Iguodala draymond green. They're offensive rating was one 20.9. In the 2017 season. And the nuggets are doing better than that with jokic Barton green. Morris, and I don't even remember the 5th person out. Wow, that was incredible. On the fly, statistical lookup by you. Wow. Thank you. I'm very impressed. Thank you. That's incredible stuff. So I'm not trying to call you out, but when Michael Porter junior, I remember at a conversation with Michael Porter junior, your ass just went up when I just said, I'm not sure. But you're about to call me out. No, I think didn't you say that you thought that the nuggets should consider blowing it up or am I misremembering? I didn't think they should, I never said blow it up..

"Down a windmill? And playing in a game. I know there's like lateral movement. I would like to genuinely hear some of the science behind minutes restrictions. Also, I'm not saying that I disagree with them. I'm just curious on a scientific perspective like how it works for someone like Klay Thompson, who it's like you're ready to play in an NBA game, but only I don't know, I'm just interested by it. But anyway, on with the science behind the ramp up is what you want? Yeah, like isn't the part before you get in the game the ramp up, you know? I don't know. I don't know. I think a lot of it is also they don't know what they're talking about to be honest. It's just a lot of mysterious what have you and yeah it's a very cloudy field and even the professionals are in a 100% certain. But when I just saw Jamal Murray, do a windmill, I was like, what is the difference between this and playing? How far can this person actually be from competing in the NBA? Which brings us again to Gavin's question. And to answer it just like outright, I think the answer is Jamal Murray. I think the answer's Murray as well. Yeah, 'cause we've seen Davis. We've seen that movie. We've seen the healthy Davis on the Lakers. Even if they exclusively played him at the 5 with Trevor ariza with maybe Kendrick nun comes back and they just have more options with Malik monk supposedly the savior who just is a complete no show against the grizzlies last night. Monk has been good. And Mongols my favorite signing in there is a reason. Okay, fair. I won't back on monk too. But as great as LeBron has looked, I just don't consider them. Kendrick nun is gonna come back and play major minutes too according to Frank Vogel. That doesn't change your name. Maybe we should admit this question to say AG and kenton. Exactly..

"And will scored two point eight when he got one hundred points. So clay was just one point away forget to two point one points per minute. The closest people to that have been guys like Kobe's eighty one point game getting him a one point, eight range but in terms just scoring efficiently in the lowest possible Claes up there with. Will to play? No, obviously a very different era. So it's Kinda WanNa see what you guys thought about that. I think it goes back to why I respect Klay Thompson player is that he's efficient like everything he does there's no wasted movements. There was a game going back actually have that right here I think it was two thousand, Eighteen Klay Thompson at fifty, two points in twenty seven minutes. One of the amazing stats about that and it's nice in basketball. Now that we're so deep these advanced analytics, we have different ways to look at the game of basketball He took five dribbles to score fifty points. There's just no wasted movement and I think that's how you know the NBA in general is becoming much more high-scoring than has been in the past and Klay Thompson great example of not just being skillful enough to score that many points but being smart enough and efficient enough to be able to score that many points in such a small amount of time. And I think coach McCullough said I think the the key word is obviously the just on a fishing basketball he could do. a lot with a little. which I think make made him the perfect fit with the warriors and I think with with any team he's on. And And the other thing I find interesting is that. Especially with the Warriors K. D. and Steph got a lot of the praise. But draymond and clay were probably the two most efficient guy 'cause whenever they would the ball. something good was happening. And it was happening with too many dribbles without without too much extra stuff. It was just good basic fundamental basketball..

That could be a skirt that could be a tube dot that could boy, maxi skirt Mahmut just by me, hear me who articles what if she sent you something. And it was great. It wouldn't be because it's my mom because she's my Ma but what is she sixty four God bless her heart? What if she sent you stuff that you liked it really wouldn't have stuck? She's my Ma I'm asking you to hypothetically couldn't she's she's older than me by a lot because she made me. He doesn't mean why would you have Clinton's aside? I over a woman, a hundred that she can have a great sense of style for her age. She has no idea what I would wear. That's that is for a woman, I will take that take for a man, you guys have six options, shirt nicer shirt, like jacket pants like there. Isn't you can't be like, oh, I got a shirt that is also a jacket that has also pants are people are doing too much with women's clothes million different options for men. It's like I got you a tailored suit. So that's the argument that I would buy is that like his mom going shopping for him as a man is not that difficult. She gets his shirts tailored. But like if you're Klay Thompson, you have enough money for a stylist, if you want someone to buy you, clothes you do, but as a person that you could make that argument about, it's so much easier to say you have enough money to get this type of person. It's so much harder to like where do I start to Google? I'd like to hire a stylist do I go through random like, how do I find that's my number one. It holds me back from things. Like, how do I find a person that can manage a property, so fun? I think you're making my argument for me. I know I'm, I'm like to move on from this milky story. We've I've just gone. It's things have gotten clouded. Don't you drag her in? Do we care about LeBron James son brawny who joined Instagram and dream on posted on his very first post, I'm at your connected summer? All you also garage supplies. You are saying Thompson, I don't support you calling it refreshing it. No person has been like hot day, hit me with a mill actually milk was a bad choice. Famously milk was about choice in a hot day. But you need milk to make ice cream which is very refreshing. Cape milk, isn't ice cream don't don't but admit that milk isn't refreshing. Yes, thank you moving on. We don't have open already minutes on each thing, like Klay Thompson. Oh, God milk will hit the spot at times in a way that, like if it's not milk. Why would you ask Jay for milk, be I'm sitting right here? That's uncomfortable to listen to. And then he did it in the microphone. Oh, sorry. You said Jay can I have some milk east closer to the kitchen takeover? You don't let click you drink milk at work. Just a Cup of milk at work. Yeah. There's front of people. Did anyone see? Sometimes I'll go when they have those little, like cartons ago to swim and buy it, and where do they have little good talking about here at Wor? At word already in our thirties. Have you gone up to the fridge that is exclusively for Creamer for coffee and filled a Cup with some of that, that had no coffee in it? And just drank it. Yes, Ashley, what drinking milk isn't weird. We are the only species that drinks milk from another animal. That's not normal you're supposed to drink milk. When you're, like when you're nursing as a baby infant, and then you're not supposed to drink anymore. So this turned in this moved away from drinking milk at work is weird isn't the drinking milk good, weird about drinking is weird? Because if you still do it, that's fine. But like you should be a little bit of shamed of it. No. How, how do you eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and not have a new. You ain't them. Normal person peanut butter and jelly. But hey, I haven't had one in twenty years. That's jaitly. I don't have food at my house, and you can't get a peanut butter and jelly sandwich delivered. You can't peanut butter and company Greenwich streets. Really good. Anyway. I live not here. I met at work and milk, and peanut butter and jelly, never worked for me together. Because it's like it's just didn't like the way they mixed. Listen, I grew up on whole milk. So milk is ruined for me. It's just like it's a thick heavy beverage. I love milkshake milkshakes. What maybe didn't watch the other vendor? Do you have to know the other venture movies, mclovin? Yeah. Definitely. Okay. Do you can't even come close to just pick in this up? Right. I I'll just watch this one and see what you'll have. Absolutely, no, what's happening. His girlfriend's in the universe though. His girlfriend is peer Parker's. Klay Thompson, real life girlfriend is Peter Parker's girlfriend in the new Spiderman movies, she was also the girlfriend in black klansman. She's quite attractive is that the Gonzalez. Yes. Elisa Gonzalez who Johnston, Laura Harrier, Laura Harrier, nobody. Oh, boy, we're going to get somebody in trouble. You no, no wonder he walked out. Oh boy. Yes. "I have to look at a wild limit because he's too great overall. I have to look at Kevin Durant because he's too great of all around talent overall. I got news for you. I think a legitimate argument could be made that whether it's the Knicks all the Lakers that the person who should be targeted. I is play talks. I don't know if the other dudes are obtained -able. I personally believe that coli let it is going to the clippers and I'm scared to death. If he ends up going to Brooklyn because then that means the Knicks are toast. I can't see them getting a Klay Thompson. Because guess what? If you're in northern California winning championships with Steph curry, just stocking. What the hell would you go to the Knicks? But take Yuli when you're a talent that needs help because you're not an on. You're not somebody. That's a number one option. But if I'm play Thompson and LeBron James's in LA. And I'm Magic Johnson, rob Pelinka, and I have I have an opportunity. To compromise. The Golden State Warriors by taking away Klay Thompson and getting him on the Lakers franchise. Where his daddy wants done that uniform stews me, I'm going to go for that. And I got something else to tell all y'all. I've said it on several occasions, and I'll say it again, there is nothing that I find to be more blasphemous than a lack of praise and love and adulation. We have been willing to accord to Klay Thompson when you consider the fact that us right here at ESPN his daddy works here. Doesn't outstanding job as a radio host seven ten ESPN LA. Right here in Alabama right there in LA. You got Michael Thompson who Botherway way helped the Lakers win championships. That's his son. He's some damn distant relative some second or third cousin from your step brother some body. I'm making fun because that's what Jamie Foxx known as Cleveland. They Smith calls me. You He might might you might you might. you. My my twin my twin on my stepfather sign on my stepfather, sir. Hilarious. That's where that came from. But in all seriousness, you you Michael Thomas you work for ESPN. How is this man? Son, not far more regular. I don't say it enough. I mean, I literally have in my mind Klay Thompson wondering whether or not if the a better shoot at a reality a bit of shooter, Reggie Miller. He might be number two all top. But. Dined Steph curry. I know Cal is a great shooter. I know Steve Kerr was great. I know John Paxson was great. But they need a little bit more help their Klay Thompson. Reality has the smooth stroke out of Yukon. And then a walkie in Seattle. It'll be all of these places Ray Allen was special. Reggie Miller number love for my brother. But Klay Thompson might be the second greatest shooter in NBA history. It needs to be a discussion. Can we definitively omit that possibility? I don't think we can. And when you have that kind of shooter and you're in Los Angeles where everybody's info we'll LeBron James to get help. And a the Klay Thompson be a one of those guys for him to put on that Connor show. We ended up in at seventeen of his twenty shots from the field. Ten straight three pointers. Venison would forty four points in a route. I mean, this was a ten point game at halftime. Before I had an opportunity to pass gas. The lake is what? But the Lakers were down thirty. Paul abroad James sitting on a bench with some no name. I don't even recognize trying to talk to him not recognizing that the star who can't play and interested in talking to you. When a team is down by thirty would Klay Thompson pulling up from thirty. I wanna talk to you. You can't make this up. And I'll tell you something else, and I'm gonna go that far. Yucca, say, what's your call me, all types of crazy? This one of the other reasons why if you'd like is you need to trae Brandon Ingram some equitable assets. I mean, Klay Thompson, but DeMarcus cousins did play 21-minutes less effective last. I eight points he had nine boards. Oh, five assists. That's the thing about cousins man is that. He's so good with the ball in the scenes. He doesn't need a score to be good on this warriors team. Like he needed to score to be good on the kings or good on the pelicans. He doesn't need a score. He can just dish the ball five five assists last night. Pretty good from a center, you know, he had third. He led the Oris third on the team in a in assists. So what what do you think? What do you think about DeMarcus cousins first couple of games with the warriors? How have you seen? What is your response to what you've seen so far? Still a positive like he's it's not hurt in the team by any means, he's making them better. And better. And it's one of those things where you gotta look at like the team around him is so good that he doesn't need to be the guy like he was in Sacramento where he was getting like thirty points a night. He just needs to contribute any way, shape or form. Uh-huh. That makes sense. Abs-? Yes. Saying like he doesn't need to score thirty points tonight for them to win. He can take time. And I think that's a reason why he went to Golden State, right? Like he has a chance to win a championship. And also not be relied upon heavily to win each night, which will help him in his recovery from a major injury. Yeah. True. And yeah, like said injury is no joke and. Just it's going to be one of those things where it's going to be a gradual us give you a gradual. What's opposite a Klein incline incline young? Yeah housing, let's declined BI. You're right. Let's see other way the other you go down. But I don't know. I didn't know there was another word like with Klein in it. So are the warriors ever going to lose again? Probably but not for a while. Maybe not I can't say no teams just gonna go undefeated the rest of they want to know. They play the wizards. The Celtics the Pacers in the seventy Sixers their next four games. So that's a little bit tough. All these games were on the road to. What do you think about that? Jeff. We're on the road. I take that back. The warriors are at home against the seventy Sixers so three of the four are on the road. There's still going to win. And what do you know? I it's just it's just get this. They play on TNT ABC NBC TV in TNT must see TV except for the Golden State Warriors. That's amazing. Yeah. So anyways. What can you say this team looks well on their way to winning another NBA championship bullets talk about though, they can they can't beat their MBA record though. Yeah, you're right. But let's talk about the Lakers. They get demolished in this game. I mean, I think that was pretty expected one thirty two one eleven I know on the surface. It looks like a nineteen point loss. But they'll get it twisted. The warriors had one hundred ten points going into the fourth quarter. The they they were up by thirty points entering the third entering the fourth quarter. Yeah. It was bad. The lakers. Now have Rondo out. Lonzo out lonzo's out four to six weeks. We just heard from his sprained ankle, which is a long time for a sprinkle.
