She was open and willing, and it didn't work out, but you can't be the person that's defensive like not for me. No. But it's like I'm not willing to online date but I know that if there's someone for me. That be so powerful that the fact that I won't online is going to stop them from coming into my life and I really believe that on a spiritual level, so I'm like. I don't need to get getting. Divorced was so scary, so like I don't need a all that. Legal Scharnagl, but it. What marriage represents an opposing a post living with someone, but I really like the one thing. You might have said at one time or maybe I said it to you or maybe we send it on a podcast. was regardless. It was the idea of the decision not to have kids is. People need to understand. Our is equally as powerful as a decision to have. Children is identically. Is, it is a strong choice. Not everyone should have children. It is something you should really want or yearn to do. You shouldn't just be like well. Maybe we'll have kids now. It should be something you should decide on i. want to say you said earning. I love dismissed, but you know what is so funny is like. It's it's funny I. had an ex come into my life during the pandemic? That like I hadn't heard from an forever, and this is the thing that's happening to people and he's. He's married with kids, and he's totally not trying to be a creep. He's just like. What happened to our friendship? and. I've known my whole life and we. We had a phone call about the smiths like last week. About how much we love scenes because we always did, but I remember thinking Oh wow. That was in a hallmark movie. So we'll do that and I'll I'll usually do like stories that have to do with Christmas but I want the people in the show to news stories. That are kind of dark and upsetting so that it's it's for It's a it's a celebration of Christmas but it's also like a little dark so for people people that are sick of all the happy happy and I usually ask the audience. How many people here are depressed over? The holidays are upset because of relationships out of their money. Or this and the the whole room applauds. And I'll say these people and carry them with you when you go to Christmas and it's a beautiful night of usually ends in a sing along and tears like it's very emotional last year a friend of mine Played last Christmas by George Michael and when we all we all saying this year I believe it's going to be a war is over if you want it. You know John Lennon. That's a good one that gets me in the in the heart goodrich solar plexus anyway so the the baby it's cold outside side Song what people are not understanding and the big argument with with the kids was we get to put whatever lens on it we want and I go. No 'cause you're missing another important lesson in feminism. She wanted wanted to sleep over. But what would people say. Women weren't allowed to be screamed their genes anymore jeans just screaming her nylons. I can't say and it's a little bit of that. You know back. She wants to stay mouse game. Yes and sometimes there is that dynamic in sexuality and men Women Women Women and men. It doesn't mean everyone is a fucking rapist. Even though I will say most men are insane people in this room but I am very fine people. I am Earth's most hardcore feminists. And so if I'm saying I'm not songs okay. Everyone it's okay. We need not be uncomfortable. In one hundred percent agree with you as a man in two thousand nine hundred. I'm not allowed to say that. Yes you are but I think I'm with you. She wants to stay. That's the premise. She'd pretending she doesn't because there's like an kick his ass if she he says and also the couple that wrote it they used to perform it at Christmas parties. Because back then you know when you did your energy like adults and it was. Ah Yeah it was actually the the they even said that you can reverse the roles if you want like. It's just sort of a you know you're trying to. She's trying to get over what people might say and also what what does she think of herself. I can't stay over at this man's house and say what's in this drink by the way that's when people think it's about Rufiji. It was an old copper expression like forties movies when the guy and I know you know this but your audience. So if they were ever interrogating a guy and he started telling telling the truth he would look at US Cup and and as if to say. Hey Why am I telling the truth. Here he will. Hey what's in this drink. It's it it means like hey did you put more alcohol. Certain to tell the truth up in here. It's not. Are you roofing me. It's also not a documentary so like if you go back from the the narrative itself and say do you think these people intentionally wrote a song about a rapist or do something else. So it's it's on you you. You're you're interpreting the way you want to. You're not interpreting the way they intended anymore. If you're going to try to read it though I think one of the arguments to is it. Okay okay. I believe they intended it that way but the words just sound different now so we can't enjoy it and I'm like no you can't take it away from me either. Many a great version of it. food one is not the new John Legend version that God he's re he's re written changed the words to make it acceptable twenty nine thousand nine. But here's the thing about that song. What's your problem Garin? He does that but then he has these little other things that he changed. That are extremely like almost sexual. What dude did it comes off more forceful than even the original songs noticed? I didn't notice that no is also got about three lines. Can you give us some of the lyrics. Can you pull it up. They'll get up and then look jeans freeze in your unease. Outside is is is a free do There's a great version of course parliament Scott argument available on the worldwide. It is very fun. Maybe three minutes of the dumbest stuff bird. Anyway my show is Friday the thirteenth. And we we got push it over the habit Cela- it's GonNa be fun. People are GONNA cancel your Christmas party at your stupid Vaseline on the thirteenth. You said you know what I actually do have plans. I'm sorry to say that you audience and then everyone comes to me this Sunday November seventeenth in San Francisco. One show think's GonNa be w cobbs cops the available. I'd probably get something on that busy weekend. Most Friday the thirteenth. You probably have to watch your traditional. I do that Jason for. He is of course movie marathon binge. How long would that take Sharon? Have you done you watched every Jason Voorhees. He meant to look into that too. I know that's going to be about ten that minutes. We got imagine ninety minutes each and there's at least ten nine hundred include the versus Freddie. I think they'll be eleven eleven. No I'm wrong. No Tennessee's experts Jason's eleven Friday the thirteenth remake twelve twelve times. Well twenty two thousand eight that right That was ninety minutes so devised sixty is what six goes into one. Oh Eight One on wasn't it just twice as many hours as the movies each each movies. Each movie was about two hours. That would be now. They're about ninety minutes half off that. Add so it'd be like a Lotta Bullshit. Yeah twenty two minus three quarters of twenty to eighteen hours eighteen hours. You can do that in a day if you wanted to all right. That's what we're doing problem. We'd like to be there but we got the we got this thing. We just worked out so start early enough. Well that's.

"That better last Gary. It's funny thank you Jenn thank you. Can you tell my staff how to win. I say funny things all the time and they can't wait the fucking jump on it. Just laugh it enjoy it you decades. That's why we're all in this room. You came to me. You're my favorite comic. Let's do a show laugh at what I say you came to US begging for fucked Ajaz offer what I say. No idea why we were settled with you but when I say and it was the perfect job because I walked right into boring story but among mugs that show stopping right out even seeing you know what we were we were. We were the reverse sonny and Cher. That was what I would do that to. Sonny Sonny I would tell this long story then then sure would say one little line and get the big laughs and then they'd go Staying alive and they go right back into the song she would do the put down to then right back into the group Jen. Let's you and I do that. Let's let's put together a variety show you and I love that God if I had the interest or the talent but I what wrong I have the interest you have the heat. I don't have the JEN's got the no I mean just like even if we did it the Patella Jenin Jimmy Building. What if we could sing? You can sing teeny bit. You can play the piano. We learned that but wouldn't it be finally got out their journey. We did like a little that we come out. I believe in music really hundred percent. Yeah we commit to it. Are you doing Jane Lynch and Kate Flannery at one thing is going to be a lot of work which I don't see you being interested in doing that's GonNa be tons of rehearsal but the other thing is I love everything. I'm hearing except that when comedians starts singing. And it's not supposed to be funny. I hate that I'm like stop. Stop it legit Kate. Flannery do those great swing shows but I feel like they're more than Comedians comedians. who also have these other talented? The comedian I'm more than a comedian. I'm a father. Industry is spoken considerate. Lover I know what he means. They're actors yes. Yes I I get it. I know what you mean when comedian start singing yeah. That's a bummer. The worst it's this it's as bad as when rockstars think they're funny. It's the same problem in reverse. Yeah but I think that if anybody was going to do that it's Jimmy. You think it's Jimmy Caboche. Yeah I mean just because you're kind of timelessness I think you would fit into that perfectly perfect. Can you have that positive energy. You came to me. What what what did you say when you first heard or saw that seth Macfarlane was doing doing this happening? That's my point. I don't think you can go from the guy who takes shots at the people rightfully and then do put and Jen and I put all the blame on her thing is out singers while Seth Macfarlane. He's a real sink that's true. So here's the thing we're not real singers. Here's does that make it better or worse better. At least you can sing rebut. We're not real singers. And the focus will be on the the standing up comedy. Yeah Mile I just need to know. Am I allowed to laugh at you guys when you're singing. No No. Can you take the person. Well then I cannot with certainty story was. Let's see. He's a singer songwriter. Okay so he wasn't a comedian. No okay I honestly don't know what he was a wonderful straight man and You come on share. It doesn't matter who's straight or gay. He's been fine if he was a game and to everyone to a lot of gay fans so it makes sense. It only makes sense. That sunny may have been gay. I think that's why he died. He didn't want the truth getting out so I think he ran into a poll. That poll suicide. I really do. I think we're still worst suicide at while it worked. So yes good for him. He didn't man. Was it a tree or a pole. I forgot yeah. I think it was a tree. I think it was usually trees on slopes but there's also those polls from the chairlifts Shirley pads all over them to stop people from doing what he did. Got A pad those trees Bush should honestly. I guess it wouldn't be wouldn't be good for the tree and got a pet that high the nobody. Nobody nobody smiled. Not but other than that was the greatest feeling of the day not like these three Bucks Narcissistic Idiots. Just win the jump all over my labs. That's what's happening in here Jennifer so glad you brought it up to five times in disgust. I like Jimmy keeps going memorized. You came to me and said you're my favorite meeting your dings jinx chain if I only saw favorites but also if I only I was only in this room once or twice a year and you make that joke of of course I'm GonNa Laugh but I'm here twice a week. Let let me let me just stolen vector. Give me that look on. Hello stuck could give a high five on that. You're the guy who's doing the vector. Sorry I was. I was showing the proof of my actual valor valor on the walls. Here's a guy that doesn't understand A lot of this world that we live in this regard that's a scalable. File format doesn't lose resolution at at the difference is because it's using the shape instead of pixels Yoshi the bit map When you zoom in on a picture and it gets I'll pick silly yeah? vector doesn't get Pixel because the mathematical knows the he knows the what the polygons the positions the positions of points. And then there's like lines that are defined instead of each individual point. I could tell you a lot about you. Could go to sleep a Halloween indeed. uh-huh so what does it mean in airplane. Then when these. What's our Victor Victor? Well Vector in air in aviation means the angle at which you are descending or ascending if learning if I may like a number is a number of vectors a number with the direction you may not. It is is ideas that you don't do that too late too late call the street Just happened way too. Late reminded me of Ray Stevens Song Streak. I like the idea. Yes a little a bit of sugar that helps the medicine go down. We know that the medicine go down. We know that the medicine go down. Just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down. How in the most delightful a little way or those words all right learning more and more is? I'm in the car with my wife and son that I don't know the lyrics to songs wrong about everything Albert. Correct me about WHAM rap up red is humbling moment. My argument was was valid in that. Because they've mentioned it takes pleasure in leisure. I believe in joy and I was singing for thirty plus years. It takes pleasure in leather. I believe enjoy but later in the song they talk about wearing wearing leather. So I thought that was the word even though Take Pleasure in leisure is the whole point of the song is they. Well it. Maybe that when you first heard that song you're young men and didn't know the British pronunciation of Leisure and so it didn't register to you as it sounded more like leather because it sounds similar more sound that's similar to me listening to the Beastie Boys obsessively when I was twelve but I didn't know half of the things they were talking about so still to this day. If I listened to licensed to ill I can rap along to it but I'm like fifty percent of the words are not the correct words because I it's just it's ingrained in my head Ed the way that I thought what I thought they were saying as a twelve year old. What I was a stupid kid? I didn't know what the fuck they were talking about the time because they're talking about stuff that had nothing to do with my life like you know drinking all sorts of alcohol and Other drug references and just crazy and then there's regional things like we didn't have even though they were only a few hours away from where I lived we didn't have white castle in upstate. New York Oh so I I only knew about White House from their song. And you don't know what it meant can't and they don't have them out here either. So not never really nightmarish. White Castle moves out here. Everybody talking about Christmas cream and Dunkin. COMCAN donut yeah. White Castle is going. You GotTa wake. There'd be lines around the Goddamn Block. You have to admit though when they herald Kumar came out like did pop up wake house. Oh did they was like the second coming. Yeah people were going nuts over. It's like Damn Chicken Sandwich. Popeye's I literally so line out the door. There's a pop as near our house that the they're not seen less than twenty cars. What what is going on? Be that good and I loved that Chicken Papa you know and also it's basically isn't it. Aren't they just kind of trying to make the same thing. That chick-fil-a has it's kind of a chick-fil-a a Obviously I'm told a better version. I haven't tried it yet because I can't get near them. I won't I won't succumb to. I haven't been there. The last time I went there was when we first moved moved into our house which is two thousand twelve. Because there's a pop is not that far from our house and Charlie still baby so you know when you have a newborn. It's kind of like catches catch can in terms of eating meals and living your life so we're just hungry like how I'm just GonNa go get some some chicken and pop is. That was the last time I went there seven years ago. We can be posted on that I will. I will tell you if I go back because You get that. Get that sandwich. Apparently if you go back you gotta give that a shot you know. I liked the spicy two piece white meat. I like that. I like the red beans and Rice I like Didn't miss you. I don't know what that means the reference. I don't Know Oh you don't lyrics. You just told us these ones. I know There was one by the way speaking of lyrics in lights out by by Ufo uh-huh and did that. I it as an Rainbow Bridge. That was one of our songs and and we'll remember what the lyric was. But it was one of those things where it's like as a kid. You don't underst- again you. I don't know what you don't know every word in the Kavulanya and it was like well. That doesn't that sentenced doesn't make sense to me And then you also like you know songwriters may also so you know use words the language and We're maybe it doesn't make sense to you. But they're painting a picture. And yes you wouldn't say that to hello mother Blah Blah Blah. Ah Blah remember what it was and it was and I sing the wrong lyrics every time we performed and then I finally saw the lyrics liner notes. It was like Oh that That's what they're saying. Hang their the craziest thing is when you hear a cover of a song that you know very well. And because it's a cover the person singing it sing something slightly differently friendly s and it eliminates. The lyric actually is like. Oh my God. Yeah thank you got what. which ones have I wish? I had an example for any of the things. I'm talking I can tell you when I I went to public chicken. Though about seven years ago I love that chicken Apus by you is annoying though because there's no drive thru you gotta got a park you gotta walk in there with a lot of believed they finally blew up. That Carl's junior in that in that area now there. We don't know what it's going to be. We're waiting anxiously to find out moving into town. That's that's the rumor on the street and even imagined happened. I don't understand the White Castle I actually. It seems beyond time for that. Maybe it's just because it's not very good and also we also cow is like do not come at so cal with your burgers because the there's so many crazy really good burger places here and then a lot of bad ones but I consider it the Burqa. I know you and you're the guy making burgers pizzas so I'd be anybody I I think part of it is that La is maybe maybe they could have open to the eighties near Sunset Strip With the drinking and the and the we are not a big go out and get hammered town and White Castle Berry much is A. That's that's what you're on your way back from the bar and you need something at two in the morning dot. You have something on your know about I do something I think. If White Castle comes comes out to California Southern California now they should just do it as food trucks. Oh that's a good. That's a great Eddie. My apologies for lashing out at you. Yeah because just park it in front of wherever wherever the drunk. Why hasn't that happened? I don't know because you pull up a white castle in front of some business you're GONNA you're GonNa make a fortune one hundred percent. You could make a fortune. Let's do there's why don't we get a truck because you can't stand the sound or smell of grilling I had A. I had a horrible experience castle and I worked at the car. Wash with the Pablo Babayev When we bought all that was our job at all the the whole band work there and the car? Wash the situation in the net little booth outside of the car wash Josh. Were you know the room for two people and then as a foul smelling Thing in a small room somehow your vagueness makes is it more disgusting than if you just said what really I can't. I can't get to want you to but I also now imaginations running wild I I thought you. He's like someone threw up in their similar similar. Oh Boy Themselves that excess burps. Yes Oh and I'm glad it wasn't what I thought it was just was nope and I had to. I had to leave the booth and vomit because it was so awful was at the beginning of your problem. No that was a different situation. I again I know exactly what it was. Somebody's making sloppy joes. I know when that the problem. This is a different Elliott. Have you ever had White Castle in your life not fresh. They do have the frozen ones done that. Yeah our Eh It's fine. It's if it depends on whether you microwave it or or toasted the right amount of time or not because because they can get weird and the bread can get hard and but it's yes if you oh I remember guys all the time in college. If you over microwave. The bungee hard for some reason the water goes away. But I mean you know if that experience is the same as is like eighty percent of what a white castle burgers. It's okay. I'm fine I will tell you this. There are times when I'm on the road if I'm on the road if I'm going to study for more than two days and they have white castle I may grab it on the way back from a club..
Women's Health & Plant-Based Nutrition With Dr. Gemma Newman
"Everyone about your path path into medicine and how you found plant based nutrition and then you know this entire episode is going to be answering a lot of questions about women's health that we get asked all all the time and i know you see this in your in your practice you take care of patients from all age ranges in all stages of life so i think that it's going to be just so informative for our listeners so starting with weird did you start in medicine getting into plant based diet and just tell her a little bit about yourself my k. well will i am as you say i'm a primary care physician and i've been working in clinical practice for fifty years now so it's been a long long time and i've been doing all sorts of specialties in that time but my my work in general practice has been for eleven years and i just ask you all sorts of people bull and my passion permits has always been i've always wanted to be a doctor and help people and get to know them and their family so it's been a dream unrealized but i did find early on in my practice that was getting increasingly frustrated because here in the UK i'm seeing you partner with a small friendly family participant typical nearly three thousand people but we only have ten minutes per person so i had to find ingenious ways of including nutritional lifestyle information in that ten minute paradigm and monies to achieve it and get some incredible results for people and it really did feel like i was suddenly able to add a lot more to my medical toolbox than i ever had before and my journey was long process i've always had an interest in life steinmetz in getting to the real root of what it is that has caused disease a condition rather than solely treating either symptomology or the actual disease process assisted self so it started early on with motivational interviewing techniques solution focused brief therapeutic approaches and then when i went into the realms off off inning to give nutrition advice i was more cautious to start with because i haven't done much study in that area at that time i kind of i knew that the general zeitgeist iced with cops a bad and but i didn't give that advice my patients freely i lost of weight that way but then what i discovered myself alf in my own house was that my lipid profiles raised despite weight loss and good exercise regimes and i have a family history of heart disease so i'm actually a few years ago was even off a deal to talk about my journey but i declined i didn't feel as though it was a good example to set for others when i was still struggling with ray snippy the profile but for a few years and i found the evidence around competition and like you know ten years on with two kids and the exercising less than half the amount manage to not only have a normal BMI but also been my lip profiles to the normal range so i was absolutely delighted and that really began my studying odyssey so i spent the last few years studying ins and outs of competition and being able to share that with my patients has been one of my absolute greatest joys i've seen so many powerful transformations in people that it's truly made medicine not only my vacation location but huge passion so it's been wonderful that is so admirable and i just love that you shared that part of your journey it's just it's i really really do find that a lot of physicians who feel passionate about this found improvements in their own life through integrating attrition into their own families and their own personalizing generalizing their own health and that's a really beautiful story because it's just so interesting how your evolution of health of you've tried different kinds of scope of diets them them yourself and have tried absolutely so i have to say i i used to have a used to love steak it was my favorite meal you know i used to not eat those kinds of phase in so i try not to come at this with an evangelistic tone but raven i've been told i really really have the that's so it's actually so valuable actually that something i'm majorly lacking actually because so i became the cherian and then vegan like i stopped eating we need is like maybe eighteen and then became begin my early twenties so i like never liked meat so i do lack i saw that i like incredibly empathetic and i truly believe like everyone's on their own journey and i respect where everyone is with food and nutrition so personal but i do lack the like understanding understanding of like you know oh don't you just mistake because i never i never liked it actually the funniest example ever is that recently there was a vegan deep ball oh and i was eating it and i actually almost threw up because i have a fight because i thought it was me everyone around you was like how delusional are you you've who need not me but like even the kind of like texture consistency like it just makes me sick and what's so important to recognize that you you know people who who did really like animal products you know it it actually gives you a level of understanding with your patients that it's not easy for everyone to drop it in a day i actually she think that adds a level of compassion and empathy to your practice that so important oh thank you done you know i do i do become a base from eleven to standing funding and and people sometimes look at me a bit funny and sale it's all right for you you know you probably never even liked it and sometimes say actually no it used to be my favorite thing i used to always order a burger or a steak and what i have to do is i have to align myself with the information available and then when side thunder unrealized the health benefits then of course i allowed an appreciation of the other benefits to come into my consciousness especially received the environmental and animal compression size it it is a win win but yeah i i am to to really help people guess it from their own health and what they can achieve so beautiful i think your your your empathy and compassion it comes through if you will we'll talk about where everyone can find you and social media leader but you can definitely definitely definitely must follow dr newman actually just tell them right now during episode okay okay a few insists so you can find me on instagram you can find me on instagram at plant power doctor so that's my instagram handle and you can look at my website jimmy newman dot com and the the reason why i say that is because gemma went one thing i love about you the me that you and i and a lot of other plant based actress sharon common is this empathy i think that understanding that all of our patients don't have to go one hundred percent but just the more plant predominant implant forward is important meant it opens up the realm of health and wellness to more people it's more inclusive acid- than it is exclusive and i think that your social media really reflects that it just reflects that this is a journey for everyone and we're just here to support people on this journey so i think you're positively he is just really shines through so every make sure hawes s right now and go to your instagram up and follow dr what she shares so you up i wanna talk all about women's health because i get questions all the time about women's health and i had natalie crawford who's in OBGYN infertility specialists on for the episode she's brilliant and wonderful and we can only hit on so much and so i've so many leftover questions to talk to you about as you are a primary care provider and you're a female physician and you love women's health i am so excited to talk to you about a different ways that you've incorporated some integrated medicine plant based nutrition into your practice to help with different issues and women's health so starting with one of the most common questions i've received starting with even just premenstrual pain and menstrual cramps something that it seems like for some people is not much of an issue but for others it's really really really debilitating there are some different tricks of the trade that people can go about this naturally likes i'd love for you to that of course i do see a lot of women with period issues and sometimes it can be really hard to manage and and it depends on the person's always awesome there have been the different methods that they're looking at but what's amazing is that there are certainly some natural remedies that can be potentially henchi as effective as the drugs that we would usually tend to to help with period pains so for example i do love turmeric it's as an incredible spice and there was a study to show that the kirkman has an incredible ability to reduce premium pains it also increases media enough levels in the bloodstream membrane your traffic factor which is a protein that is known to help with new on survival and growth and what's incredible is that it also is linked to reducing zinc period pain that was a randomized controlled trial and what they did was they got women to take kirkman supplementation three cycles vest as a placebo supplement i'm what they found was that in the women who took the cu-cuban supplement there was a significant improvement in mood in physical symptoms and of course in that BGN f- levels does and it didn't require very much dish acquired a couple of capsules daily from seven days before their period and that's something that could be hugely effective so just a really basic thing you know you might know it's quite easy just to try to reach for the painkillers and that can be the the stan thing but if you're caught something that's not true that you can use which is effective then why not use it that's amazing especially because it's so easy when you're young you know when you're woman in your twenties and thirties and you have crabs it's so so easy to just like grab for a ton of advil because had a works but it's at the same time it's like to think that there is an alternative method out there that has this anti-inflammatory in pain reducing without you know the side effects of medication even over the counter medications mazing so that's that's a great tip well ginger you mentioned over the counter medication so ginger there was a study on ginger and they got three different cohorts of women ebb and they gave one third of the cashews of ginger powder at two hundred and fifty milligram dose four times a day for three days from from the first day of their periods and they gave a second one mefin casted two hundred fifty milligrams which as you know is a strong anti inflammatory painkiller yeah those and they gave the four hundred milligrams of ibuprofen in the third cohort again i think that was three times daily so all given quivalent dosages and what they discussed no it is a lot different graves and what they discovered was that they were all equally
Universal Studios Orlando announces new theme park
"Orlando we're getting another theme park I'm thrilled to be here to announce universal's epic universe that was the big announcement from universal they've been teasing it all week the resort is doubling in size with plans for a fourth theme park right down the street but he offered almost no information on when it will open what it will look like or how much it'll cost despite the lack of details the CEO of universal parks promises it'll provide fourteen thousand jobs with pay starting at fifteen dollars an hour governor run Disentis was at the announcement this area has proven itself to be a world class destination and Orange County mayor Jerry Deming's praise the company's contribution to state and local taxes I like that part pretty good which will need to wrestle is also pitching in one hundred sixty million dollars to extend part of Kirkman road near the site of the new park between the scales news ninety six point five W. "It's beautiful stuff. And he brought it home. Immediately texted me because he couldn't he appreciates would. And he couldn't see himself chains on this up for firewood. And he said, you know, and she don't you build furniture. The cool thing is I met this person. Because I flip the house next door to him. Which is great. And we got to know each other. And had we not, you know, whenever I flip a house. I always go around and meet all the neighbors and introduce myself, make sure they know who I am why I'm there and just establishing a relationship, and I'm I'm really glad I did that in this case because this connection never would have happened. So I had never dried would myself ever before. I'd every I'd would from fine hardwood, suppliers like cross cut and Gobi or whatever. And I had bought would at the rebuilding center. But I had never had never used Greenwood or had to bring Greenwood back to my shop and deal with it. And so I literally I learned everything the hard way, I brought all this would home. I went out there at night thinking, I was going to come home with a couple of slabs, and I came home with a suburban full my truck full of wood sticking out, the back and everything and I got home at like eleven o'clock at night and had to go through the stuff, and sort it. And I brought a bunch of it into my shop within about a week. It was covered in mold because there was no airflow over it. I mean, and I'm trying to learn on the fly. So. I think I went through about three different sorting and stacking up rations before I started to actually even understand what I was doing. And immediately realized as I did research that there was no way I was ever going to be able to dry wood and Portland Oregon outside and I don't have any. We're sitting in my very small shop right now as you can see there's no room to do anything like that in here. So the only the only option if I wanted to do it here someone suggested I'm I'm a member of Woodworkers. Community online on Facebook. I think it's I think it's sponsored by the whisper and came up with it's called right now. But it's great. And I just put a thing. I put a picture of my stack of Airdrie. I wouldn't I said, so what do I do guys? Like, first of all tell me everything you see wrong with this stack. And then tell me what I need. What do I do from here? Like, how do you do this? And somebody said you need to build a solar count. It never even heard of one started doing research and kind of fell in love with the idea. And I mean literally within a week. I was building that thing. Because I kept bringing these truckloads home where to put them. So I gotta start using them. And so that's the story. Yeah. Yeah. Pitchers of the kiln on my website. And go ahead, and you have a website with has a lot of pieces on it. Go ahead and plug it telling it is and I'll have links on the episode pay. Yeah. It's K O furniture dot com. And it's very simple website. It's mostly photographs. There's a little bit of an about section and for sale page when I have stuff that I've got good photos of that wasn't commissioned. But yeah, so go take a look at it. And you can see a lot of his stuff because I can only take pictures of whatever he's working for Woodworkers. You know, don't really have a show room, and when you were out of your house, so. Instagram at I think, it's Kirkman original on Instagram, which is what KO stands for and then on Facebook as well, Kirkman original doesn't sound for knockout. But I'm fine. If people. You can use that I won't charge. We'll have links at the bottom of the episode page for all those things you can go take a look at his stuff. It's just absolutely beautiful..

"One com books. Everybody was buying September. Let's go through the top ten for September twenty. Eighteen top the list. We have return of wolverine number one for marvel. Comics number two heroes in crisis. Number one from DC doomsday clock number seven comes in at number three from DC. Number four is Batman. Number fifty, five DC number five is Batman damned. Number one from DC. I'm kinda surprised that one wasn't higher is sold out everywhere. People are still clamoring to get it in. It's going for high prices on EBay number six, Batman, number fifty. Four number seven, Daniels legacy number one number eight. Fantastic. Four number two. Number nine, amazing Spiderman. Number six, followed up by amazing Spiderman number five at the ten spot. So you can see his pretty evenly distributed between marvel and DC in the top ten, we don't see our first image. Comic until number fifty, eight oblivion song by Kirkman. So it's not even Walking Dead. Are you still in comics, the marvel character air by loves the hate, no, not cyclops. The other one name more. Yeah, name more is back. He's he's always been kind of a prick. Now he's tired of everybody invading the oceans. He's decided he's going instead of invading the land like he has in the past with invasion and flooding Manhattan. He's decided he's just going to kick everybody who doesn't live in the ocean Audi ocean. He has formed a little group called defenders of the deep named Moore's defenders. Deep are made up of characters like tiger shark, orca and drama is some other characters. In this picture. The I'm not quite sure who they are not been named yet. Name more begins his agenda in avengers number nine, he shows he's not above murderers you since his sharks out to eat Stingray. They more is pretty formidable by himself. He can take on the avengers with no help whatsoever. But now the. He has some allies with the vendors of the deep. The oceans are going to be a scarier place. Let's talk about the venom movie from Sony. I. I, it was a good movie. It just was not a venom movie. This character characterization of venom was not what I know from the comics completely changed. His personality demeanor didn't stop people from going to the theaters and watching it Benedict the top spot for the second week in a row, the box office, it beat out of stars born, which is no easy task since it is getting a lot of Oscar buzz. Venom is earned. Almost thirty two million dollars for second weekend, putting in at around two hundred forty, four million worldwide. That is pretty good for a movie that the critic said, pants saying that it was going to fell miserably. This is why I don't listen to critics, but as I said, it's a great movie. Just not a venom movie. Sony is also working on a movie for craven the hunter. This one though will have appearance, my spider man since it's going to be based on Craven's last hunt. If you've read that story line, it's great storyline. Craven has taken down. Every major thing that he can hunt except for Spiderman a, he sets his sights on the web Slinger. They're putting out the third installment to what I consider the greatest superhero trilogy. A lot of people at flies under the radar, the unbreakable or east row one, seven, seven series. This is the unbreakable series by m night Shyamalan starring Bruce Willis as David Dunn, where he finds out that he actually has superpowers, he finds this out because Mr. glass allies. Your price is on the opposite side of spectrum. He's very frail and you know, the wind will break his bones. The second series is split with James McEvoy mcevoy's character, Kevin Crump has multiple personalities, and one of those is the beast which is a super powered crazy primal being in glass. The third of that trilogy all three allies. Your price Kevin Cronin. David done are all on the same mental. Institution. Allies, your price being the mastermind Mr. glass.
