"I hate to compare this to The Walking Dead, but I mean, it's the natural comparison. It's going to continue to get, I love how they're actually explaining where this infection is rooted from as opposed to it's just, it's happening. And there are disinfected people in this world. That's never explained in The Walking Dead. There's super duper subtle subtle subtle clues that you can that fans have tried to piece together, but there's nothing that tells you like, this is what it's from. And now that that shows over, we still don't have a clue as to what caused the world to go the way that to turn the way that it did. And I love that, you know, with the last of us, we're seeing glimpses of the past to know where we are today in the show. We don't get that at all in The Walking Dead and that show has been on for 11 seasons. And, you know, there's still no explanation. I think honestly, that's just because Robert Kirkman doesn't have an explanation. I think he just like, hey, I just want to make a zombie. In most cases, it's like it makes it less scary, you know? I think when you understand something, it becomes less frightening. In this case, I think it makes it way more frightening. The whole cold open in the first episode where they're like, what do you think is going to kill us a virus? And he's like, no, I think fungus is going to totally mess this up. Oh, mushrooms pretty scary. He's like, no, here's why, and everyone's like, oh. That sounds real, yeah, exactly. Yeah. And then in the second episode, seeing how they first discover it as well. And the doctor immediately knows this is like super bad news, just like on the city. We got a mom. Yeah. It's crazy. Man, I loved it. Yeah, I mean, if that was like a military journal, we're going to bomb them all. And we were like, all right, that's pretty on brand, but for this Doctor Who was on her lunch break to be like, no, there's no way there's no other way. We're going to deal with this. Just wipe them out. Yeah, that's an interesting role reversal. Usually it's the other way around, right? You see that generals are like, let's bomb the city of the site. It's like, no, you can't. We can come up with a solution. We can figure out what makes it tick and develop an antidote and it's like, no, there's no answer for this. Yeah, there is no antidote, too. Have you all watched Chernobyl? I have not. Oh. Okay, well, if you're looking for, if you're looking for that vibe after the last of us, it is phenomenal. I don't know. That's one of those things. It's just, I don't know how to describe it exactly. It's got, it has, it manages to be like history, but it's horror. And there's nothing in it that's like overtly like, here's horror. But it'll just like completely put you on edge. It'll make your skin crawl. And not overtly graphic or disgusting. There's definitely some gruesome imagery here and there, but it's like, it's mostly just how it describes things. Now it contextualizes stuff that makes it really impressive. Yeah. Anyway, I'm dying to talk about next week's episode. Yeah. I might have a little, it might have a little feature up about that between now and then. But on that note, we got to wrap things up. Thank you all so much for joining me. For those of you listening at home, go vote on what the PlayStation game we want to see in the video or show or whatever. But on that note, beyond. Beyond. It was titled learn how dagwood splits the atom. What? This is made up. This is NATO. No, it's not made up. It's right in front of me. Jack, what could Harley cut a sandwich in half? You could look on eBay. Let's go figure out how to make a bomb on you. Give it again, tape, tell me the name again. What's the name of it again, stuff? I'm going to find it. The Gilbert U two 38 atomic energy lab. Wow. Sold in the early 1950s. Yeah. By the way, remember once I asked Siri to call Ron hartenbaum, my business partner, and she said, Googling how to make a bomb, and I asked Frank lagus and I'm like, can I potentially get a rest for that? He's like, well, yes. Uh oh, okay. Chris. Who said whether spouting dangerous rhetoric from news deaths or openly bullying school children from the halls of power maga

"You little hat. Just wind her up and make her mom. She's easier. Speaking of climate change, it's 75° today in New York City on November 7th. It's not great. Yeah, okay, nothing more to see here. Also, have we mentioned how completely and totally awful, all the Republican candidates are. I believe I'm hoping this is our last time ever. Version of what the hell is this? This may be our last ever what the heck? There'll be more tomorrow. He's still talking. Well, I'm hopefully he will not be a former shut up. Okay. He will not be senator head injury Herschel. He will be former Senate candidate. Herschel Walker. Okay. Would you like to, okay, here we go. Ready? Jen, here, would you like to play? Okay. The biggest threat to the Marcus is to have send a one out out there to have sends a one out voting to put men and women's sports that's the biggest threat to the market said because we get a chance to vote and because we get that chance to vote, we can get them out of office. And that's what we got to do right now because if we don't get them out of office, we will not recognize this country. You have to November. It's the biggest threat to democracy is he getting applause just for being there because he hadn't even started speaking at just okay. He needs some help. He hadn't. Pardon me? He said the biggest threat to democracy and they started clapping. We love threats to democracy. Yay. Was that the men and women sports again? Yeah, the biggest threat to. Okay. All right. Let's move on. Somebody else did. I just signed up for nobody else did. I know y'all didn't even. Then I happened to read this article. I read this article in the as the kids, what they were doing with the money. They said they were out there buying video games. They were going on vacation. They was gambling. They were doing, they were drinking. Booze. And then they were doing all this stuff. And your thoughts? That was about student debt. Oh, I didn't sign up for someone else's debt. Yes. That's what he said. Okay. Yeah, I heard something about drinking booze and I thought, yeah. I think you got sidetracked there and was just thinking about what he did in college. Yeah, okay. Wow. All right, and one last version of what the hell Herschel. Have you a Martian you live in the United States of America? I'm going to protect you too. Because you blown through my family. Huh? We're Marshall. What the hell? Wait, play that one again. Just listen. Hang on. You're a Martian, you live in the United States all American. I'm going to protect you too. Because you blown to my family. If you're a Martian? If you're a Martian. And you live in the United States, I'm going to protect you too because do you think that somebody told him illegal aliens and he thought they meant Martians? Jen, I started to do this. I'm so Travis. I need to. I need to hear it again. I'm sorry. One more time. Yeah. Here we go. If you're a Martian, you live in a United States of America, I'm going to protect you too. Because you blown through my family. Because you blown my family. Belong to my family. Oh, I could have sworn he said you've been my family. My family. But wait a minute. I want to be with the Martians family, not his. Let me decide. If a Martian comes, I'm going with the Martian. They make more sense to me. I'm with friends. I just die a little more inside every time I know that our public service to point out how completely unqualified he is for the Senate, but I just die a little bit. I really think it's illegal aliens are from. For you, if you can find someone to blow your family, I think that's important. Okay, Kyle. For Christian appreciates it. Kyle and Albuquerque, you're on with Jen kirkman. Okay. Hello. Hello. Kyle is a big fan of Jensen. Who isn't? Hello. Hello. Yeah, hi, you guys really threw me off. And it's eastern California, Reno, but who cares? Miss kirkman. I was wondering if you wanted to discuss our mutual love of hallmark movies. I know you wrote one, which was the best one last year, by the way. And I'm emitting on a worldwide platform now that I love hallmark movies. I'm embarrassed. No, there are a lot of people who do. You are a manly man to admit that. Sir, do you want to hear something that's going to make you happy? Sure. Well, because I wrote a hallmark movie, tis the season to be married, which is rerunning all year. I have it recorded, excellent. Thank you. I was checking out the ratings last year, and guess what? Hallmark movies regularly are in the top 5 things that are on cable and they regularly beat out every Fox News talk show. That is fantastic. I love homework. Okay. Do you? By the way, they also want to stay real quick if I could. Miss kirkman, you are incredibly funny, incredibly talented, and even not feeling well incredibly beautiful. So thank you for just you. Isn't she literally shining and pretty look at her. Look at her. Well, I have a ring light on and the shingles haven't moved to my face yet. So I am very grateful. That's a good thing. Oh no. All right. Well, everyone have a good day. It's a love and happy hallmark and that's stuff I forgot to mention. That's how I've been getting through this election season. I've been watching Christmas movies. Yeah. I love them. You know, yeah. Yeah. That might be the only thing that breaks up me and the girlfriend. She does not like hallmark movies. She likes really dark stuff that I can't like Yellowstone. She doesn't like Dahmer. She doesn't like big city lawyers moving to small towns and opening a bakery so that they can open up muffin shops. Jen Kirkman Highlights How Voters Need to See the Bigger Picture

"Something heartening to you about my mom in the political realm. My mom is technically pro life, I guess, but when I explained to her, the abortion ban, I said it's not quite about killing babies, not that she's that radical, but I said, you know, my mom took the birth control pill in the 70s, which helped cure her endometriosis, which helped me get born. And I said, if they let this happen, they're going to come for birth control. And she said, well, that's not their business. And I said exactly. Now, whether or not you love abortion or not, it's really about looking big picture and about what they're trying to do and how they're trying to keep women at home, and that really it was a 5 minute conversation. And she really got it. I don't know how she's going to vote. What? Should Catholic? She's capital. Yeah. But, you know, she's voted Democrat before, but I think I don't know if I don't think she'll vote Republican. I think she just wouldn't vote or she'll vote Democrat. But I do feel like that little conversation with her she really heard it. And I'm lucky that she's not a combative angry right winger. But I think people have started to learn that it's not just about this issue. It's about a privacy issue, a slippery slope. I think people really are getting it.

How the Abortion Ban Seems to Have Affected the Elections

"Anita and sanitizer. You're wrong with Jen. Hi. Hello. Hello. I know somebody. Hi, I know somebody ate my mother in law. She never voted Democrats. And she voted for beto because of the abortion thing. Wow. Okay. She's like, 70, 75 years old and she's never go to Democrats, but that was just a typical woman. A lot of I was going to say somebody said that on our show that they think there's going to be a lot of that vote of women telling their husbands, oh yeah, yeah, I'm voting Republican, but that may not, right? Yes, especially in these red states who are actually feeling it right now. Yeah. You know, I can't imagine, you know, we hear stories all the time about these women who are being turned away from hospitals who are bleeding, or and also Anita the youth vote. I just saw these lines that university of Austin yesterday that were amazing. I mean, just what we're seeing provably from early voting in youth turnout is really good news. Well, that's what I'm hearing. And for my daughter. And oh by the way, and she was out of her apartment, you know, student housing. And nobody sees young guys that were like 18 or 19 out there. And they were playing basketball. And she heard one of them turn to the others and say, have you voted yet? So, you know, I mean, that's not something the 18 and 19 year olds usually talk about.

Barb McQuade on the Secret Merrick Garland Memo

"Everybody's freaking out over the, you know, I guess secret Garland Merrick Garland memo, right? That is sites bars demand to flag the AG at the agency's investigating a presidential candidate. Am I wrong not to freak out? Because you know me, I'm prone to freak out. But yeah, no one will ever accuse you of not freaking out enough. But thank you. I think this is not a freak out moment. This is really, you know, I object to a lot of what William Barr did as attorney general. He did a lot of bad things in wrong things. I don't think it's wrong to say the boss should know if you're going to open an investigation on a political candidate for president. You should know. If you could have a prosecutor go off, either because they're rogue, but more likely just because, you know, they got excited about something that they see. And the attorney general should know about that. That's all. That's all it says. So I don't think this is something to freak out about. In fact, I think it's just good management.

Barb McQuade Explains Why There Are More and More Jan. 6 Witnesses

"We were just talking off air as a prosecutor. One of the things because we keep saying, oh my God, could this hearing be pushed too? Because you think keep saying more evidence, more bombshell, more witnesses. We were saying, we're sort of like, stop committing crimes. So we can wrap this up, right? I mean, part of it is a prosecutor is good news for you, right? Yeah, you know, there's so many crimes you can't keep up. They keep committing new ones, right? No, I think though Stephanie is a really interesting observation that America kind of gets to see in the light of day. This happens to prosecutors all the time. You think you're close to the end. It's why supervisors are always saying ones that investigation going to get wrapped up and you're like, I think next week, but then next week you put in a witness and they tell you about 5 more and you think shoot, I can't ignore these other 5 witnesses. They might number one. Tell me something more incriminating. Additional crimes, additional evidence, or exonerating. And that's a part of that the Justice Department has to worry about too, which is, I don't want any surprise witnesses. I don't want any Perry Mason moments for somebody, the courtroom doors burst open and someone walks in and says, I'm the one who did it. You know, you've got to talk to everybody. And so it's what causes delays, even though when you think you're done, you're usually not done because there's always one more person to talk to. And so another important point, though, Stephanie is knowing when you are done. And so a good supervisor of prosecutors is like a good kindergarten teacher. You know what you're doing in your finger painting and they keep wanting to add more and more and more. At some point, the teacher has to say, you know what? It's done. I'm going to take this away from you and post it on the wall so you can see it because it looks great. Supervisors need to do it to prosecutors as well because there's always one more witness you want to talk to.

Jen Kirkman's Ivana Conspiracy

"I just want to talk about a conspiracy theories with you because you said just the fact that he managed to write something nice makes me think he had her off. Okay, I'm just saying the day before he and their kids are supposed to give a deposition for all their climbing in New York. I'm just saying, I'm not saying, well, here's the thing. I mean, it's such a statement about how crazy our news media is and everything is that we don't even know what to believe. And I really was joking. I don't think he had her killed, but I would the thing is she wasn't going to be testifying. The kids were, but I could see him doing something stupid. Like, having someone killed because it would push the thing back one week. He thinks so small that he's like with a death will push it back when maybe available.

"They always tell you date men that love their mothers. No. No. Date men who don't have mothers anymore. Now here's the thing about being divorced. So I feel a little alienated still from my married friends. My friends will now call me to tell me what I'm not invited to. I used to go to a couple's dinner every weekend. I'm still friends with all of the people. I'm just not in a couple anymore. But my friend decided, I can't come. And she said, I'm just calling to say, maybe you and I together start a new tradition. But I think the couple's dinner thing might be weird if you come alone because I don't know. We don't want you to be sad. I go, I won't be sad. You'd be uncomfortable. That's what it is. Because I think inviting a divorced woman to like a married person's dinner, it's kind of like inviting a political radical to show up. You know what I mean? Like, I might just bust down the door or some pamphlets and start telling the truth about some things, man, you know? It turns out it is just a piece of paper, you know? Guys gained all this weight, right? Since you've been married, and you think, oh, thank God we're not in that single scene. It's so judgmental out there. Not true. You can have salad on your face. Everyone's fucking each other out here. It's a good time. You can get right back into it. I did gain some weight after I got married again. 40 pounds in a year. Yeah, it was a lot. I'd lost it since then, but the married people thought that that was normal. And they would say things to me, that's your body, it does that after marriage. It adds a protective layer. What? Skin that my husband doesn't want to have sex with me? No, Jen, you're not understanding. You're nesting. You're nesting. I go, oh, I thought I was eating a block of cheese with my bare hands like a sandwich in front of the TV. No, nothing. It's hard when you gain weight because I don't know if you're someone that you weigh yourself once a day, a pound here pound there. That's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about the kind where you can tell you've gained a lot and you're like, I know what I'll do. I will not get on the scale. I will lose the weight I think I've gained then get on the scale to the way that I want and then it's fine. But you keep doing that. And then suddenly you're wearing bath towels and you're like, what, I've always worn these, you know? It's hard to admit to yourself, and as a woman who gained the weight, pants didn't fit anymore, but not where you would think like right here. Suddenly my pants didn't fit here. And I was like, did my balls drop? No one tells women that that happens. So I start making promises to myself. I belong to a gym, but that wasn't good enough. The reason wasn't working is because I wasn't going. But in my head, I had to come up with something new. So I was like, I'm gonna start jogging at 6 every morning. Be done by 7, have the whole day ahead of me. Why do you think of this before? So go to bed at like 9 or ten, get it nice, 8, 9 hours sleep, set the alarm. Here we go. 6 a.m.. And then it rings at 6 a.m. and you feel like a totally different person and you're like, what the. I'm not getting knocked out. There's murderers out there. It's dark out. Not even farmers are awake right now. They can't see the props who the fuck gets up at. 6 a.m.. Rape us all kinds of crap people, still think it's the same night. Like I'm not going out there. What am I a nurse? I don't need to get up this early. And why am I getting up early to lose weight for what? For society? Oh, for men? I don't think so. I'm a son's healthy. And I just think it's just me and my bag yelling. It is tough though. When you see when you get on that scale and you see that 40 pounds, you're like, oh shit. I mean they're gonna have to gain 40 more and really like own it, you know? Get my own daytime talk show as a judge. Or you gotta lose it like that night and do stuff like jog at 6 a.m.. I don't have any dieting tips for you. I just eventually lost the weight. I think by standing up watching reruns and smoking the occasional cigarette, that's I don't do it. But it did work. I didn't think divorce helps too. Your weight doesn't want anything to do with you either. It's just like, oh, God, get away from her. I just. It just runs away. Watch Jen kirkman. I'm gonna die alone. And I feel fine. Only on Netflix..

The judge said so of the twenty. Five thousand houston methodist employees. One hundred fifty three resigned or were fired so good bye bye. There's something has psychological proof. Can someone smarter than me investigate. Do these people want to be victims. There's an obsession almost with this is just like the holocaust. No it's not but do you wish it wasn't a weird way like i really feel these people. Fetish is being a victim and they're not or oppressed in some way when. Yeah when they're just a plain old white person so someone's effort to keep you alive to keep you and your loved ones alive and safe is somehow the internment camps. You know george takei said. Scary booth. chris. Wray so i one thing that you always say on tv. Frank that sticks with me. Is you say january. Six was not a failure of intelligence. It was a failure to act on the intelligence we already had so the fbi. Director and other senior officials have consistently downplayed the intelligence value of social media post by trump supporters prior to january sixth. I'm reading from nbc suggesting the bureau had no actionable warning. The capital would be targeted by a mob but according to a document entered into court records last week and fbi agent acknowledged in february investigative report that angry trump supporters were talking openly in the days before the riot about bringing guns to the capital of the starter re revolution a review of open source and social media post leading up to endure. The event indicates individuals participating in stop. This deal were angered about. The results. fell joe biden. Hit unlawfully been declared president-elect users in multiple online groups and platforms discuss traveling to the capital armed or making plans to start a revolution. Obviously a lot of democrats are not satisfied with the answers. They're getting from chris. Wray right richard blumenthal said what i don't understand is why this chatter and raw intelligence didn't prompt a stronger. Warning an alarm going to the very top of the united states congress has cleared the united states. Congress is under severe threat. Carolyn maloney said. Fbi director ray admitted today. He was unaware of the more than fifty tips from social media site parlor prior to the january six warning of violence. One user saying don't be surprised if we take the capitol building. This was a massive intelligence failure by the fbi. Plain and simple. Frank give us your take on that. Okay there's a lot there but the bottom line is on. Yeah i have said it's not so much. An intelligence failure as it is affiliated execute unavailable intelligence because clearly the intelligence was there so it to the extent you define failure as not having anything to act on. I say no. They had tons to act on. They failed to act on it. I know parsing but with regard to this This recent filing by nfl agent say. Hey there was a lot of stuff beforehand. We don't know. And i have to assume he's talking about after the fact in other words what's wants. The violence happened by the way. This is extremely typical of the domestic terrorism handcuffs. That are on law enforcement. Is you have to wait for the violence to occur often before you can then retroactively. Go back and investigate so what is happening now. And i know it's happening now. Is now that the act occurred. They're going back. They've got defendants. They're going back and getting warrants or searching for their activity online prior to the act. And they're going rollo. Now we now we see this. And they're using it in the case to prosecute so i. That's what that's what's going on there. But far more importantly stephanie. It shows us. We've got to change the rules of the road. If we're going to stop the next act domestic terrorism it that you wait for the violence and then go back and are allowed to look at stuff. And i think that's why when ray says he didn't know about parlor he didn't know the lawyers have shut down any semblance of spying on americans and i get it but we've got to figure out a way to do this. Yeah i was going to just jump over your experience and training. And just say it's because they were at silent time for that it but it's because they were white domestic white supremacists domestic terrorist trump supporters. That they look the other way. It doesn't take a genius to go and get they. Obviously there was a stand down order. There was some sort of you know it was the top that ordered the code. Red is i always say but okay frank. You have a podcast. This one sounds fascinating. Is this on your podcast. The top fbi. Scientists shares her advances in rapid dna. The ability to match your dna profile at a local police station in two hours or less is the seat. Here's the cool podcast. It's been out for doing extremely well. Because it's unprecedented he. Fbi's never allowed in outsider to have access every single week to active duty fbi personnel. There are a lot of podcasts out. There that talked to retire. People like me but this is active duty. So we've done behavioral profiler talking about serial killers. We've done a phd scientists telling us that dna is now down to less than two hours and it's happening at your local police station. They digitize your swab boom goes to washington while they're while they're holding you legally they find out you're the rapist. You're the murderer. That's the database. We're doing the. We did episode on the fbi abroad for this week just out today. This week's episode is the head of the behavioral fred assessment center. Telling you how to know. If you're crazy uncle or that guy down the street is really going to act out violently. We do that every week. That is fantastic. And it's called the bureau with frank guzzi and that sounds fantastic. We'd links with links up. They are up all our places. Frank where it's always a thrill when we get to talk to you. You reg eighth grade on friday so if you're curious if we're going to solve the drought the drought problem. It'll it'll be back on friday. We're gonna be fine trial jen's my point literally could not figure that out it was like i guess they studied droughts in eighth grade and since he's graduating they're done studying it and maybe he just went to be sobbing it. Oh i would be inconsolable. With every year my child got older. It would be too much for me. I teared did orientational for his high school. And they talked about that on the show and they were welcoming in over at him and he was beaming with pride and that made me have to turn away. 'cause i was going to lose it. Yeah you don't want to ruin the moment. Make it about dabs moshe. That's exactly right. You know what is for you to learn about the schools. That about your dad. Going through impress misuse. Now do you tell them later. I cried so he knows. It's okay to cry. Heard you about me about you. Getting older is on about him. Getting okay but because you're getting owner no okay literally had nothing to do with him because miss him when he leaves for college which is only short four years away now. Yeah that is kuku. Maybe he doesn't go to college. Lives with you forever and gets into the family business. Hope not or maybe he goes to not close to. I would love for him to do such a thing. What about homeschooling college edition new okay. Well so it's good to know you're a little bit ready to let them go on a practice. I can homeschool danielle code i. I'll do it. I don't have iron money. What are you talking about tossed. I'll do it at a cheaper cost. I went to college. I can teach them. I went to college for modern. Dance and creator. So i don't know a lot of a lot of stuff. I want to ask a serious question about that because it's just occurred to me You went to college but thirty. Twenty minutes from where you grew up right How did that feel less momentous. Because it was closer. Did you once you were there. It was like i am going to ucla and just to westwood. Yeah you could feel like he's in a whole different world. I don't know about kids today because again. I went to college before the internet. So everything seemed you know. It didn't feel like the world was the small little place and so really going from the suburbs into the city of boston with my parents were so strict. I mean they read my diary. There are always up my ass like the richard diarrhea they were. They were really strict. Because my sisters were teenagers in the seventies and eighties and they were more wild and they just didn't trust me. They didn't understand the two differences between the generations. I finally got them to believe me. But you know. I just felt so much freedom and i was in a city and it's so funny so i don't remember much about how it felt but i do remember feeling like it was a totally different world and it's not like they were just going to show up and come see me and a friend of mine found a letter that i wrote to him in in the first year of college and all my old friends from high school. We wrote each other letters at each other's colleges because it costs money on the landline to make long distance calls. You know we all went to different places all over the country so we wrote letters and have a million letters from friends and my friend mike. He said that i wrote him. He showed me a photo of the letter and i wrote. It sounded like i was describing that scene big where he sleeps in the city for the first night as a little boy trapped in a man's body and i'm like getting used to the sounds of the city out my window. This is so different now. I don't remember feeling that way at all because boston's on a real big scary city and at night couple of cars. But it's not new york. And so i can't. I'm so embarrassed that i thought that was embarrassed. You're excited about it. You were were you in charles good. Yeah so it's noisy area. But i think but i don't know what it's like to be a kid today. He might be more sophisticated than i was. Oh i think he is. I see i write diaries. Because i have respect privacy. Blotch trust me. But i do think that when you were just living in your own space and you're surrounded by people your own age it feels like it's literally as we learned on the sitcom and eighties different world from where you come from. Yeah he does have those glasses so this is perfect. He wears the flow of dwayne. Look join yeah. I think kids are more. I was going to go the other way way. I would i was. I'd gone to boarding school so i had already experienced It was nice. Not gonna lie about it. It was awesome but But you so. I had experience that like being away from my family but i do. I was just thinking about this recently. I remember how excited. I was to like drive into boston. 'cause i was sort of familiar with it from having been a went went to school in concord so i'd been in boston a bunch but it was still like i know it but don't really know it and it was just like i wasn't scared because it was familiar enough that it wasn't like overwhelming but it was just knew enough that i was excited about it and it was like the perfect. It was the only time in my life that i had that perfect balance of like exciting and new but not too scary like it was just right and i like. It was amazing. Boston's one of just and i think if he goes to like a ucla somewhere. It's not the city of los angeles but it'll be its own microcosm of it is usually is right there it you. I wouldn't go to another college. Campus provide live somewhere else like the movie. They're like that there and forget that you're walking really were should just be Koets emerson was like where we went. It was. It's it's in the middle of boston. It's doesn't really have a campus. Just a few buildings scattered around boston. So you really. Where does living in the middle of boston. she's awesome. yeah. I went to see the movie. The wraith remember the movie the wraith. Charlie sheen's that charlie sheen gun. I saw this special. That on the when i lived in pasadena we went to watch it in westwood and it was like a scene out of an eighties. Movie like the kids all crossing the street whenever they want. Nobody being disrespectful but a line for the movie it. It was weird westwood. The Ariel School Alien Sighting

"Today's story is so bizarre and so hard to rationalize the only way to make sense of it is to go through it piece by piece from the very beginning it centers around the aerial school a private primary school in the small farming community of rua about twenty miles outside of zimbabwe's capital of harare. The students range from as young as five the way up to age twelve. I don't know what the school is like. Nowadays but back in nineteen ninety four. The kids would run around the playground every morning for their recess break. Friday september sixteenth was no exception. It's almost the weekend. The kids are excited as they're running around the playground. Meanwhile inside the building teachers convene for a staff meeting while they're gone. It's basically understood that the older children will keep an eye on the younger ones and not far from the playground is a ticshop which is basically like this little deli or canteen that serves students mothers rotate through managing. And the momma duty. This morning is allison kirkman. Now allison's minding the shop when shortly after ten a m. A student named luke runs in. And he's looking like he has seen an actual ghost. He has this sort of wide eyed stunned expression on his face. Ben luke tells. Allison he's just seen a literal alien outside now. Alison here's this and brushes it off. I mean she basically tells loop scherf very funny. Quit pulling my leg. But luke keeps insisting that he saw quote a little man in a one piece suit with a band around his head end quote ultimately alison isn't convinced enough to leave the tuck shop investigate even though her own daughter. Fi fi is out on the playground to in fact fi fi and her friends or just as stunned as lucas. Apparently the students were out running around when they noticed this thing hovering in the distance beyond the edge of the playground.

Ariana Grande Got Engaged to Her Real-Estate Boyfriend

"Talk about Ariana Grande Day. Yes, she is engaged. And she dropped a picture of her beautiful ring on instagram and even know she was dating him. Someone what? We talked about it in August because she was seen kissing someone, Uh, And and also it was the dude's birthday. His name is Dalton Gomez. But like you, Alexis, I forgot he existed. And I thought it was just a kiss. And that was it right. So they've been dating. Probably people are thinking anywhere from 7 to 9 months. And he is I'm like, who is this guy? He looks sort of like he could be your brother. Yeah, very similar, very similar. He has a very like slick actor kind of look, so I thought maybe he was an actor. He is not. He is a luxury real estate agent. And somebody who went to high school with him has you know on Twitter said he's about 24 or 25, because he was in my grade, so she's 27. He's 24 or 25. He is a big time real estate agent. Um, and he works for the errand Kirkman Group, which is luxury real estate company in Southern California. He happens to be the sole buyer. For this top luxury real estate team. At 24 years old 25 2025. Yeah, Yes. Now I hate to say this because But who's his father? Like his dad? Is his data released it like how does somebody get into that and become ah, Mogul at age 25 hope of family. I don't know the answer to that yet, but he has sold a lot of luxury homes and he has he has homes on his list. And properties that air like by architects that are very notable works that are like one of a kind homes that are very Sought after, um and he just looks like a baby. He does. I bet that business is going really well right now. Yeah. In the luxury realm of buying and selling homes, you're seeing a bunch of them. Come up on on the market. And if they're buying those up and can hold them for a while, and it looks like he probably was. Miley Cyrus is, um Real estate agent He's seen in her instagram stories back in 2017. People have tracked that down. He was in the music video with Ariana Grande Day. Um, her song with Justin Bieber. I can't think of it right now stuck with you. Maybe. Yeah, that came out in in August. So we see him dancing and kissing and all of that stuff with her in the video stuck with you letter you with you. OK s o. You know, that's who he is. He's bought her a big old ring. It looks like he has money of his own right and Maybe. Yeah. You know, I'm not gonna judge but I am a little bit. Seven months or eight months is a little quick, isn't it? I don't know. I feel like that. I guess there was a year off that she took after dating Pete Davidson, which people need, like, five years off after dating him. Maybe never day together like I'm done. I'm done. She'll says a Netflix documentary coming out. I guess today with this Excuse me. I love you. And her fiance is is in it, okay? So, Yeah. What were you saying? Kenny? You don't think this guy looks kinda I don't know. Slimy, you slick. I definitely saw that thinking. Well, it looks like a rugged guy. He doesn't look like he's gonna be building a log cabin on one of your man channels anytime soon. But, yeah, he looks like to use his garters to hold up his socks at 80 24 for her, right. Maybe he's I mean, obviously, he's not in the entertainment industry but works with entertainers. Through real estate property. He I mean, he was in that world he looks like he has a manicured nails is what you're saying. Oh, for sure he's got clear polish on Yes. Absolutely a boy. But maybe he's very grounding. Obviously, as a businessman, and you know, having this I don't know. Because Pete Davidson, if you look at the you know, you've got Mac Miller that she dated and Pete Davidson and you know they're creative types. Maybe she just needs somebody who's Focus on business and has more of Ah, non this calming effect. Yes, yeah. You know, when I first heard saw the ring and you know just the were swirling talking about all of this. I actually I feel really happy for her on Lee in that I think she's learned to keep her relationships kind of, you know, down low or quiet. You know that This is actually a serious relationship before you know, it's all been public. And yes, you might have songs that come out about him later, but For us to be kind of surprising. Whoa! She's got a ring. Yeah, She kissed him in everything. But yeah, that just felt like All of a sudden a date or something. Thus she just started dating him, right? We've only seen him a couple of times exactly that shocking, but they have dated for a while. And maybe right now, I mean, with quarantined here, they've been quarantining together. I read so I'm wondering if quarantining That just really? Exasperates that the acceptance of spending all this time accelerates. Yeah, just work together. We're love. Let's do this. Especially feeling like life is too short. Let's just let's just go for it. Yes, I wonder if there's gonna be a lot of that. I know the baby boom but also love and divorce. I mean, on the boat on both sides to going Yeah, it brings out stress, but also can bring people together. Yeah, it's just It's weird because she also looks so young to me. I sound ancient. Right now. There is a definite baby face. And she does she does. She always looks like which you know. Good for her. She looks like she's 18. So the fact that she's getting married. It almost seems like she's a little sister or something that you're like. Wait a minute. Do you want to do this? Right. She looks like you should be asking me what My order is at a fast food place. That's what totally Yes, Katie. Uh, well, we wish them all yet happiness in the world. Yes, we do.

Women's Health & Plant-Based Nutrition With Dr. Gemma Newman

"Everyone about your path path into medicine and how you found plant based nutrition and then you know this entire episode is going to be answering a lot of questions about women's health that we get asked all all the time and i know you see this in your in your practice you take care of patients from all age ranges in all stages of life so i think that it's going to be just so informative for our listeners so starting with weird did you start in medicine getting into plant based diet and just tell her a little bit about yourself my k. well will i am as you say i'm a primary care physician and i've been working in clinical practice for fifty years now so it's been a long long time and i've been doing all sorts of specialties in that time but my my work in general practice has been for eleven years and i just ask you all sorts of people bull and my passion permits has always been i've always wanted to be a doctor and help people and get to know them and their family so it's been a dream unrealized but i did find early on in my practice that was getting increasingly frustrated because here in the UK i'm seeing you partner with a small friendly family participant typical nearly three thousand people but we only have ten minutes per person so i had to find ingenious ways of including nutritional lifestyle information in that ten minute paradigm and monies to achieve it and get some incredible results for people and it really did feel like i was suddenly able to add a lot more to my medical toolbox than i ever had before and my journey was long process i've always had an interest in life steinmetz in getting to the real root of what it is that has caused disease a condition rather than solely treating either symptomology or the actual disease process assisted self so it started early on with motivational interviewing techniques solution focused brief therapeutic approaches and then when i went into the realms off off inning to give nutrition advice i was more cautious to start with because i haven't done much study in that area at that time i kind of i knew that the general zeitgeist iced with cops a bad and but i didn't give that advice my patients freely i lost of weight that way but then what i discovered myself alf in my own house was that my lipid profiles raised despite weight loss and good exercise regimes and i have a family history of heart disease so i'm actually a few years ago was even off a deal to talk about my journey but i declined i didn't feel as though it was a good example to set for others when i was still struggling with ray snippy the profile but for a few years and i found the evidence around competition and like you know ten years on with two kids and the exercising less than half the amount manage to not only have a normal BMI but also been my lip profiles to the normal range so i was absolutely delighted and that really began my studying odyssey so i spent the last few years studying ins and outs of competition and being able to share that with my patients has been one of my absolute greatest joys i've seen so many powerful transformations in people that it's truly made medicine not only my vacation location but huge passion so it's been wonderful that is so admirable and i just love that you shared that part of your journey it's just it's i really really do find that a lot of physicians who feel passionate about this found improvements in their own life through integrating attrition into their own families and their own personalizing generalizing their own health and that's a really beautiful story because it's just so interesting how your evolution of health of you've tried different kinds of scope of diets them them yourself and have tried absolutely so i have to say i i used to have a used to love steak it was my favorite meal you know i used to not eat those kinds of phase in so i try not to come at this with an evangelistic tone but raven i've been told i really really have the that's so it's actually so valuable actually that something i'm majorly lacking actually because so i became the cherian and then vegan like i stopped eating we need is like maybe eighteen and then became begin my early twenties so i like never liked meat so i do lack i saw that i like incredibly empathetic and i truly believe like everyone's on their own journey and i respect where everyone is with food and nutrition so personal but i do lack the like understanding understanding of like you know oh don't you just mistake because i never i never liked it actually the funniest example ever is that recently there was a vegan deep ball oh and i was eating it and i actually almost threw up because i have a fight because i thought it was me everyone around you was like how delusional are you you've who need not me but like even the kind of like texture consistency like it just makes me sick and what's so important to recognize that you you know people who who did really like animal products you know it it actually gives you a level of understanding with your patients that it's not easy for everyone to drop it in a day i actually she think that adds a level of compassion and empathy to your practice that so important oh thank you done you know i do i do become a base from eleven to standing funding and and people sometimes look at me a bit funny and sale it's all right for you you know you probably never even liked it and sometimes say actually no it used to be my favorite thing i used to always order a burger or a steak and what i have to do is i have to align myself with the information available and then when side thunder unrealized the health benefits then of course i allowed an appreciation of the other benefits to come into my consciousness especially received the environmental and animal compression size it it is a win win but yeah i i am to to really help people guess it from their own health and what they can achieve so beautiful i think your your your empathy and compassion it comes through if you will we'll talk about where everyone can find you and social media leader but you can definitely definitely definitely must follow dr newman actually just tell them right now during episode okay okay a few insists so you can find me on instagram you can find me on instagram at plant power doctor so that's my instagram handle and you can look at my website jimmy newman dot com and the the reason why i say that is because gemma went one thing i love about you the me that you and i and a lot of other plant based actress sharon common is this empathy i think that understanding that all of our patients don't have to go one hundred percent but just the more plant predominant implant forward is important meant it opens up the realm of health and wellness to more people it's more inclusive acid- than it is exclusive and i think that your social media really reflects that it just reflects that this is a journey for everyone and we're just here to support people on this journey so i think you're positively he is just really shines through so every make sure hawes s right now and go to your instagram up and follow dr what she shares so you up i wanna talk all about women's health because i get questions all the time about women's health and i had natalie crawford who's in OBGYN infertility specialists on for the episode she's brilliant and wonderful and we can only hit on so much and so i've so many leftover questions to talk to you about as you are a primary care provider and you're a female physician and you love women's health i am so excited to talk to you about a different ways that you've incorporated some integrated medicine plant based nutrition into your practice to help with different issues and women's health so starting with one of the most common questions i've received starting with even just premenstrual pain and menstrual cramps something that it seems like for some people is not much of an issue but for others it's really really really debilitating there are some different tricks of the trade that people can go about this naturally likes i'd love for you to that of course i do see a lot of women with period issues and sometimes it can be really hard to manage and and it depends on the person's always awesome there have been the different methods that they're looking at but what's amazing is that there are certainly some natural remedies that can be potentially henchi as effective as the drugs that we would usually tend to to help with period pains so for example i do love turmeric it's as an incredible spice and there was a study to show that the kirkman has an incredible ability to reduce premium pains it also increases media enough levels in the bloodstream membrane your traffic factor which is a protein that is known to help with new on survival and growth and what's incredible is that it also is linked to reducing zinc period pain that was a randomized controlled trial and what they did was they got women to take kirkman supplementation three cycles vest as a placebo supplement i'm what they found was that in the women who took the cu-cuban supplement there was a significant improvement in mood in physical symptoms and of course in that BGN f- levels does and it didn't require very much dish acquired a couple of capsules daily from seven days before their period and that's something that could be hugely effective so just a really basic thing you know you might know it's quite easy just to try to reach for the painkillers and that can be the the stan thing but if you're caught something that's not true that you can use which is effective then why not use it that's amazing especially because it's so easy when you're young you know when you're woman in your twenties and thirties and you have crabs it's so so easy to just like grab for a ton of advil because had a works but it's at the same time it's like to think that there is an alternative method out there that has this anti-inflammatory in pain reducing without you know the side effects of medication even over the counter medications mazing so that's that's a great tip well ginger you mentioned over the counter medication so ginger there was a study on ginger and they got three different cohorts of women ebb and they gave one third of the cashews of ginger powder at two hundred and fifty milligram dose four times a day for three days from from the first day of their periods and they gave a second one mefin casted two hundred fifty milligrams which as you know is a strong anti inflammatory painkiller yeah those and they gave the four hundred milligrams of ibuprofen in the third cohort again i think that was three times daily so all given quivalent dosages and what they discussed no it is a lot different graves and what they discovered was that they were all equally

"One com books. Everybody was buying September. Let's go through the top ten for September twenty. Eighteen top the list. We have return of wolverine number one for marvel. Comics number two heroes in crisis. Number one from DC doomsday clock number seven comes in at number three from DC. Number four is Batman. Number fifty, five DC number five is Batman damned. Number one from DC. I'm kinda surprised that one wasn't higher is sold out everywhere. People are still clamoring to get it in. It's going for high prices on EBay number six, Batman, number fifty. Four number seven, Daniels legacy number one number eight. Fantastic. Four number two. Number nine, amazing Spiderman. Number six, followed up by amazing Spiderman number five at the ten spot. So you can see his pretty evenly distributed between marvel and DC in the top ten, we don't see our first image. Comic until number fifty, eight oblivion song by Kirkman. So it's not even Walking Dead. Are you still in comics, the marvel character air by loves the hate, no, not cyclops. The other one name more. Yeah, name more is back. He's he's always been kind of a prick. Now he's tired of everybody invading the oceans. He's decided he's going instead of invading the land like he has in the past with invasion and flooding Manhattan. He's decided he's just going to kick everybody who doesn't live in the ocean Audi ocean. He has formed a little group called defenders of the deep named Moore's defenders. Deep are made up of characters like tiger shark, orca and drama is some other characters. In this picture. The I'm not quite sure who they are not been named yet. Name more begins his agenda in avengers number nine, he shows he's not above murderers you since his sharks out to eat Stingray. They more is pretty formidable by himself. He can take on the avengers with no help whatsoever. But now the. He has some allies with the vendors of the deep. The oceans are going to be a scarier place. Let's talk about the venom movie from Sony. I. I, it was a good movie. It just was not a venom movie. This character characterization of venom was not what I know from the comics completely changed. His personality demeanor didn't stop people from going to the theaters and watching it Benedict the top spot for the second week in a row, the box office, it beat out of stars born, which is no easy task since it is getting a lot of Oscar buzz. Venom is earned. Almost thirty two million dollars for second weekend, putting in at around two hundred forty, four million worldwide. That is pretty good for a movie that the critic said, pants saying that it was going to fell miserably. This is why I don't listen to critics, but as I said, it's a great movie. Just not a venom movie. Sony is also working on a movie for craven the hunter. This one though will have appearance, my spider man since it's going to be based on Craven's last hunt. If you've read that story line, it's great storyline. Craven has taken down. Every major thing that he can hunt except for Spiderman a, he sets his sights on the web Slinger. They're putting out the third installment to what I consider the greatest superhero trilogy. A lot of people at flies under the radar, the unbreakable or east row one, seven, seven series. This is the unbreakable series by m night Shyamalan starring Bruce Willis as David Dunn, where he finds out that he actually has superpowers, he finds this out because Mr. glass allies. Your price is on the opposite side of spectrum. He's very frail and you know, the wind will break his bones. The second series is split with James McEvoy mcevoy's character, Kevin Crump has multiple personalities, and one of those is the beast which is a super powered crazy primal being in glass. The third of that trilogy all three allies. Your price Kevin Cronin. David done are all on the same mental. Institution. Allies, your price being the mastermind Mr. glass. He convinces Kevin Crump to bring the beast forward and they use him to escape David done. Being the good guy breaks out in his trying to hunt him down.
