"Seven seven three eight one three eight one one is the number Virginia. This is amazing to me. She added governor comes out after he says, he's horrific things about the only be described as post birth abortion, which you and I both know is no longer that procedure anymore. It's awful. Well, then he comes out, and he's they find this picture of him. Maybe maybe with shoe polish on his face. Maybe both hard to say, I it was him. And it wasn't him than it is him. He admits to doing the moonwalk darkening his skin a little moonwalk. And then they all the Democrats say you got to go you got to step down. Now, they're trying to distract from the abortion stuff the infanticide staff. Then the Lieutenant governor turns out has his own scandal. Because the woman says that he raped her years ago. But the media turns around and goes, well, you know, maybe he should go to. But then they find out the attorney general also darkened his skin at one point this time to imitate a rapper rap artists in nineteen eighty so right? There are three Democrats in Virginia the trifecta. And you would think all right. Maybe all three of them should go. Right. Maybe you take two shoe polishes and a and a rapist, and you just kind of pushed him aside. And then you let the third guy or the fourth guy in line become the governor. And then you put all this nonsense behind you a new day in Virginia. But that's a problem, you see because of the fact that guys a Republican and the media was very quick to point out to you and me how awful that would be. I mean, they'll put up with shoe polish and clan hoods and rape allegations. But my God, they draw the line at the idea could be a conservative Republican a little media. Montage, courtesy of our friends at newsbusters. Cut one. If the governor Lieutenant governor attorney general were all to resign. The governorship would fall to the Virginia house speaker who is a conservative Republicans named Kirk Cox..

Keep your eyes on the road and your ears open for another episode of Amoco's bet you didn't know that's Amco A C. This is WSB meteorologist Kirk Mellish. Looking at a big temperature crash. Find my forecast anytime on the WSB radio app. All right. I wanna make sure I'm close to correct is somebody with my brain can be. So this Kirk Cox, who's a Republican. He's speaker of the house of delegates of the house, and he's he's the fourth person, but technically third in line. So if the governor of Virginia has to go because a black face, and whatever, and then the Lieutenant governor can't take his place because of sexual assault. And then the guy after him, the attorney, general all Democrats. He's got his own black face thing from the past. And he can't do it. So technically third in line is this Republican Kirk Cox who speaker of the house speaker of delegates, and I said that the. The only reason he's there is because his last race was so close the actually tied and they had to pull name out of a hat. I think it was a coin flip. And I'm not quite sure it might be just at the house was tied and who was going to run it Republicans or Democrats one way or another. It was either his thing. But it was probably probably wrong. There's probably the exact number of seats after the last election in the house, and they just did a coin flip. So this guy this Republican may end up being the governor of Virginia based on a coin flip because the tumbling democrat Domino's above him leave it wide open. "Welcome to the Tennessee star report is six six AM getting warm here in Nashville a nice drive in on to our music row studios this morning a little bit rainy out there. Steve wasn't it. Watch the watch the damn streets the wet streets because again, it's been heavy rain overnight causing some flooding around. So there's a big bunch of water on the road to just be very careful making your morning commute. Go just to Ted slower because when you hit the breaks, you might get a little bit of a slide. We don't need a bunch of Fender benders making already difficult Nashville area traffic worse than than it already is. But you know, constantly last night and throughout the early morning. My phone was going off with the flash flood warnings and things like that. So if you live one of those areas near creeks, or where you get standing water just be aware that you may you may confront someone your way in it's worse than standing water in Virginia. I mean, it is a flood allegation and scandal. And interestingly, I did not realize this to one of my high school friends contacted me yesterday. And pointed out that and asked me if I remembered Kirk Cox from from high school now now who is Kirk Cox, and why does this matter? He's the house speaker in Virginia, and is the house speaker he's been in the in the legislature in Virginia for quite some time. But in the last election cycle last year when they elected various members of the of the state house in in Virginia. There was a tie. There was a dead heat tie. And as a result of that tie. They didn't really have a a procedure in Virginia. Unlike most states that so so that tie though, just to be clear there were an equal number of Republicans. Now, this this is just in the election that like if I'm running against you. We people say does my vote matter. Well, in this case, they got the exact same number votes. You had a Republican and a democrat with the exact same number of votes. And in Virginia the way, you resolve that is that they like draw name out of a hat or they flip a coin. And as of that coin flip draw name out of the hat. The Republican won that game of chance and took that seat which ended up giving the Republicans a one seat majority in the house of delegates in Virginia. And as a result of that one seat majority. Kirk Cox gets elected as the speaker of the house. That's how narrow razor of a thin line between Democrats and Republicans. So legislature Virginia was. Random as to whether the speaker of the Virginia house of delegates was a Republican. Or a democrat. And part of the reason was because you had the Democrats pick up like a net gain of fifteen seats. They they ran aggressively. They put a lot of money into trying to take the state legislature. As we talked earlier this week with Bryce Reeves state, Senator from Virginia, the they went all in to capture the state house of delegates and they're doing the same thing for the Senate because they want to redraw the lines in twenty twenty so they can make it even more Democrats state with gerrymandering now, but wasn't one of the main themes that they put forward in their campaign communications along with governor. Ralph Northam was basically Republicans are racists, and so vote for Democrats, and and they ran a cast of crazies akin to what you're seeing in the US congress. I mean, there's a transgender who won in northern Virginia who basically only went to about two campaign functions during the campaign, they ran this is a Democratic Party operation. That had nothing to do with the individual candidates. It was all about we're gonna flood a bunch of money in we're going to run very orchestrated campaigns. And and we really don't want anybody to get to know these people because they're crazy. So so they basically kept them hidden from views. I don't know if they had underground bunkers, you know, with with snacks and TV's that they could just kind of hang out and entertain themselves all day. They ran a campaign that was basically devoid of these people in most cases, so that they could pick up control of the house. They came up literally by a coin flip short of controlling the house, and Kirk Cox is the he was a teacher taught high school in in Virginia in in the area. Just south of Richmond. Went was born in a place called Petersburg best known perhaps for being the home of Moses Malone the NBA player that went right from high school into the pros had a stellar career. And then went to high school. It's a little town again, just south of Richmond called colonial heights where I went to eighth and ninth grade. So this high school. I know the name I did not know him. He didn't we didn't run in the. But better HR. We graduated the same year. He was in my class. Okay. He was in your I just I don't remember. And this friend of mine, she she contacted being said yet you remember him. You know, he's talking about any becoming governor. She lives up in the Boston area. And I said the name sounds vaguely familiar, but I don't think he ran in our circles, and he apparently lives by his parents live behind her parents still in colonial heights. So that's the area that he represents where I spent a couple of years. So here's my question to you that bunker, where they kept the Democrats kept all these crazies. They hope this she'll have it because I think the governor Lieutenant governor and the attorney general all Democrats need to find someplace to hide out. Well, there's a New York Post had a big front page..

"All right. The mess in Virginia. Who do we got the top three Democrats in Virginia? All under fire number four is a Republican has the Democrats salvage this who stays who goes Michael in upper Marlboro. Good morning, you're on mornings on the mall. Michael. He's not. There was a big moment. You're gonna you're gonna be like Kirk Cox. Like, here's my big moment. Well, I gotta tell you what I wanna see what I would really want to see happen. Genuinely is I want to live in a just world. I wanna see I wanna live in a world where people can be forgiven for their sins of the past especially from college can learn from them and become become better for having learned from them. That's the world. I wanna live in additionally for Justin Fairfax in the accusation against him in a normal world. He's oh due process. The the the sense of did he actually do this investigation. And whether or not is true and in voters can make their best educated judgment based on the available facts. If necessary if it doesn't go to a criminal court of law. That's the world I wanna live in. Now. Here's the flip side of that the standards the Democrats have built for themselves. They've built this house. This is the house by in which they're judging their Republican opponents, and they've spent a lotta time doing it we've seen with Brad Kavanagh. We see any number of cases where they've accused Republicans of racism with far less evidence far less evidence than a photo of yourself in black face or a K K K hood and sought to destroy and successfully destroyed many careers in the process now, this is all coming back to them. And it's coming back to haunt them. It's a structure they've built for themselves and in the end, it may very well, take them down. But again, that's not the world. I wanna live. I wanna live in the world where you can actually redeem yourself I wanna live in the world. We're due process works. I live in a world where you know. Everyone's equal under the law and all that great stuff. That's just not where we are right now. And so I think at this point in the game, I wanna see repel Democrats have to live by the same. Standards that they have set for everyone else. I wanna see them the sword cuts both ways, and I just want to see it. Yes. Have the same way exact up to the standard. But you're never going to go back and find me creating a new standard based on what political party, you're. Yeah. But so in the world, the Democrats have created and the standards they have set. Fairfax is talking about a report published by the same conservative website that published the northern photos that accuses Lieutenant governor of sexually assaulting a woman at the democratic national convention in Boston in two thousand four it was a year ago. This was brought up. Rebounds story. Robbery true Fairfax who was unmarried at the time acknowledged a sexual encounter with the woman but said it was consensual should governor northern resign in Fairfax can withstand the allegations against him that were not corroborated. He would become only the second black man to govern Virginia. The I was Douglas wilder who served from nineteen ninety to nineteen Ninety-four while governor northern continues to sort out his thoughts about whether to stay or go. He has said one of his chief considerations would be whether he could continue to govern. Senator Ben Cardin, and Maryland doesn't believe that's possible. He cannot effectively govern he needs to to leave north is getting some support from former Connecticut, independent Senator Joe Lieberman. I think there's a rush to judgment that is unfair to him. And Lieberman says this needs to be a thoughtful process. And I think he's deserves a chance to prove what really is his essence not to rush out of office. And unfortunately, for political reasons politics could be at play the damage. Photos involving Northam the allegations involving Fairfax. They all follow blowback after the governor's comments about a late term abortion Bill in the state of Virginia. Still most Democrats in Virginia and many at the national level are coalescing against northern remaining as governor. So are some of the voters in Virginia. The Republican speaker of the state house of delegates says it would be preferable for all of north simply stepped down. Kirk Cox told reporters, none of his colleagues are considering another option.
