Kirk Cameron: Audiences Are Showing Lots of Love for 'Life'

"Kirk, I'm curious about the response you mentioned it came out this past weekend. Have you started getting some feedback from people who went to go see the film? Oh, yes. Lots of people are coming out. We have videos on our social media and people are just they're balling their eyes out. They're laughing their heads off. And they're saying, wow, this is one of the best movies that I've seen because a, it's a true story, and it's hard to argue with a true story. Whether you're pro life pro choice, whatever we want to offer the third of the third option, which is the adoption option and it shows the beautiful side of what can happen if you choose life for your baby. The movie's pro abundant life pro forgiveness pro love pro family, pro reconciliation and new beginnings. So we just are thrilled with the reactions. It's got a 97% Rotten Tomatoes, audience score, which is really high. And we're in the top ten movies in the nation this weekend. So really encourage people to go see it, bring your kids, it's made for the family. Everybody will own it.

Kirk Cameron Previews His New Film 'Life'

"I don't know how you do this. It's like you've got these incredible movies coming out just, I mean, it's like Karen Kingsbury, the novelist. What's a month you got a movie coming out here? How in the world do you do this? Well, you know what? The timing of it is really incredible, Todd. I assume you're talking about the homeschool awakening, a movie that came out a couple of months ago, and now here's life Mark, a movie about the value of life in the womb and the beauty of adoption. But we made this back in 2019. It was supposed to come out a year ago, but it was delayed due to the COVID pandemic shutdowns, and then who would have thought that the Supreme Court would have essentially overruled roe versus wade that it would be gone and then a couple months later, the movie rushing into the theaters about the value of life. I mean, this is a providential timing. So I'm really not king the king Karen Kingsbury of movies. God is just the perfect schedule of events to where this thing came out right on the heels of that important decision.

"Guys, I'm really happy to welcome to the podcast, actor, producer, court Cameron, some of you will remember him as Mike Seaver from the 1980s hit sitcom growing pains, but since then he's been the kind of entrepreneur in faith and family focused films, TV shows, live events, he made, of course, the film called fire proof that many of us saw monumental connect the way of the master TV series and also a whole bunch of stuff focused on marriage and family and parenting. He's a evidently has a new feature coming out with the Kendrick brothers called life mark coming out in September, but we're gonna talk now about his new documentary. It's called the homeschool awakening. It's in theaters. Today, June 13th, and also tomorrow, June 14th. Kirk, welcome to the podcast. Thanks for joining me. Man, you are a productive guy and the new film looks great. Tell us a little bit about it. Well, why did you choose this topic? And what can people expect to see in the film? Thanks to that shit, it's so good to be with you. And I'm excited. You know, this is really exciting because there's an awakening that's taking place across the nation. And it was really sparked by the pandemic and the response of locking public schools down, sending children home, parents got a front row seat as they watched their kids on their laptops, be taught things that just horrified them. I mean, this is just crazy stuff that they're teaching and while they're removing a lot of good things from school, teaching kids to love God, love their neighbor, be proud to live in America. They're replacing it with critical race theory, they're replacing that with gender queer theory, encouraging their kids to choose their own pronouns decide if they want to be a boy or a girl. And parents said, we're not going to do this anymore. So they kept their kids home, even after the schools opened back up, and homeschooling doubled in 2020. And homeschooling is actually this amazing, wonderful community of families who are passing on their values and giving their kids a great education in the context of a community that is on mission to bring faith, family, and freedom back into

"I mean, a lot of parents say, oh, my kids will become socially awkward. They want, but also other parents say, I can't possibly become a teacher. Talk about how you navigate that through the film and how parents actually they're able to teach more than they think. Yeah. Well, first of all, I'd like to say Charlie that I love teachers and teachers have such an important job. They make a difference in the lives of children and God bless all of the good teachers who are devoting their lives to teaching kids. In fact, my father is a public school teacher and so is my grandmother and my grandfather and teachers have made a great difference in my life. However, as we know in the public school system today, it's not like it was when we went to public school or our parents went to public school. Teachers are not choosing the curriculum. The government is and they've got the good teachers have got their hands tied. So with regard to homeschooling, you don't have to be an advanced physics teacher in order to teach that subject to your kids, you're just, you're the coach. You're the quarterback. There's some things that you can teach. And then there will be other people in the homeschool community in your area, no doubt who are qualified to teach these more advanced subjects that you're not comfortable with. And then of course there are online teachers with PhDs, fantastic curriculums that you can take as part of colleges, universities, private schools. There's even sports programs that you can be involved in, if not within your homeschool community sports leagues, but the schools that are in your community, private schools, and even public schools. A lot of people don't know that. But all of these things are available to you, they are to me and I live in California. Kirk Cameron Talks About His Latest Film 'The Homeschool Awakening'

"Homeschooling has exploded since the lockdowns. We've seen nearly a doubling in homeschooling and the movement is growing and the public government schools. They are getting very worried about it. A man has a great American patriot, a man that I know has a new documentary about this, called the home school awakening June 13th and 14th in theaters, and that is the brilliant Kirk Cameron Kirk. Welcome to Charlie Kirk show. Hey, Charlie, great to be talking with you, ro. Nice to see you. You too. So tell us about your movie. Well, for the last couple of years, I've been working on this documentary. I'm calling it the homeschool awakening. And there really is a great awakening that's taking place, a parent led movement that was really sparked by the pandemic shutdowns of public schools. Now, homeschooling has been a thing for quite a while. In fact, my wife and I, homeschooled our 6 kids, but the sending of children home from public schools to learn in their bedroom and living room gave parents this front row seats, they saw what their kids were being taught. They were horrified, homeschooling doubled, many of the parents didn't send their kids back to school. They're looking for new options. And now there's this, there's this explosion of parents who are looking for hope, they're looking for options, and I want to give that to them by giving them a front row seat. And being part of the everyday adventures of about 17 different American homeschool families who are on mission to put faith family and freedom back into

"That you have made. Tell us the title again, Kirk. It's called the homeschool awakening and it is glorious. It is beautiful. It's thrilling and exciting. It will bring freedom and flexibility and faith and fun back into your home and not just make your kids potentially the most amazing human beings in this generation, but it will revive your family, the time that you get to spend. And the people that you will meet, it's just, it's world changing, literally. So it's called the homeschool awakening. It's in theaters June 13th and 14th only. So you it's a fathom event. So what you do is you got to go get your tickets, reserve them online because theaters are already sold out in some cities. There's a limited number of tickets, two days only in theaters only. June 13th and 14th. So go to the homeschool awakening dot com. If you can't remember that and just go to Kirk Cameron dot com, I got a link there and then type in your zip code. It'll show you the theater it's playing in and then you can reserve your tickets online early so that they don't get they don't get taken. Everywhere I go in America and I'm not making this up. I do a lot of speaking around the country and I meet young people and their parents and when I meet kids that are homeschooled, I think every single time I'm blown away at their maturity at their standing of things that I didn't learn till ten years ago, I think to myself, these kids are going to take over the world. They are the secret weapon. And I want to say to parents, most of what you're doing right now, let's be honest, is the little time you have with your kids, you're trying to them bad ideas they got from the culture and from schools. They're getting these bad ideas. And then they come home and you have a little time to try to say, wait a minute. No, no, no. That's not true. America is not an evil racist country. Where did you hear that? Everywhere. Boys don't get pregnant. And boys don't get pregnant. Boys don't get pregnant. No, it's so the fact that we have this madness happening and that now parents and the precious time we have with our kids, we have to work to undo this. And we have to kind of argue with what the teachers are being forced to teach or whatever it is. I want to say the beauty of homeschooling is just what you said before. You get this time with your kids, believe me folks. This is precious stuff. This is beautiful stuff. If you can be a bigger influence on your kids, you will be blessed because you will see that these values that are so important to you, you can share them with your kids if you get that time. And I just want to say everywhere I go around the country when I bump into these kids and their parents, I am astonished. Kirk, I'm astonished. They are so mature. And I just think, why can't we have more of this? We need more of this. And one last thing, Eric, let me just say that in the home school awakening. You're going to follow 17 families. People who live on farms, families that live in urban cities. And everything in between all doing it in a way that works best for their family. It's totally flexible and there's so much rich community. So many great curriculums. One kid he's got his pilot's license at 14 years old. Others are entrepreneurial families who run businesses together and travel.

Kirk Cameron and Eric Encourage Parents to Consider Homeschooling

"To people. I talked to a woman here in Manhattan. You know, super educated, whatever and I said, she said, what would you do? If you had a young kid, and I said, I'm telling you what I would do. Homeschooling, number one, absolutely number one. She says, oh, I'm not qualified. I thought you're crazy. You're more qualified than anybody. Like, you know, people. That's right. Always act like, wow, that's like, that's like asking me to do brain surgery. I'm not qualified. It's like, no, it's not brain surgery. It's teaching your kids, and there are all kinds of ways that today you can get help in doing that. It's not like that's right. That's right. You're not living on an island somewhere, and you're not trying to duplicate the school classroom in your house. Imagine, imagine if you could educate your kids in such a way where you knock down the walls, the whole world becomes your classroom and you're in community with like minded people who love your values who love this country who consider it a blessing to be able to teach your kids who they are and how they fit into the world to accomplish great purposes, that is what homeschooling is like. And you can lean into your children's strengths and learning styles in community and there are curriculums that are written by educators with PhDs and co ops and networks and conferences that help you. And this is how America was built, folks. For the first hundred years, they didn't have a national Department of Education. In fact, that's prohibited by the constitution for the very reasons we're seeing today. That's their rotting the minds and souls of American children, despite what parents actually want. Yeah, and

Thank you for taking time. I'm kind of brand new project that's coming out, which is a great hope for everybody who loves America and everybody who believes that education is important. It's called the homeschool awakening and boy, I hit the hornets nest when I pointed out the fact that the American public education system in spite of the good teachers who are in it, parents across the nation are realizing that the public education system has gotten so bad that they've become public enemy number one in terms of teaching kids the values that promote the kind of country that we love. Well, I know that that's true. It's horrifying, but there are a lot of people that are busy and they're only just waking up to this. And so it thrills me, Kirk, you do a lot of good stuff. But what we're talking about here, this is as important as it gets. While we have been kind of drifting along in our lives, raising our kids, working the public school system has gone

"Can recognize that one produces bondage and slavery, the other produces blessing and freedom and if we can educate one another on the right principles, then when this whole thing goes down, we can actually build it back beautifully and biblically. That's what we need to get back to. And I'm trying to help reinforce that knowledge base of the covenant ideas our founders made with God and how to apply the instruction manual to everything because we need to. It's just so beautiful that God is forcing us to get out of our own little world and into the culture and to bring the gifts of heaven. The principles, the ideas, the joy, the faith to bring it out into our communities. That's why I was given to us. And it is funny Kirk because you're right. It's like things sometimes have to get really bad before we wake up. And I think that that is happening now. When Lincoln talked about a new birth of freedom, I really believe he was speaking prophetically and that that was a prophecy. It was not fulfilled in the 19th century, but I really believe we're on the verge of that being fulfilled because we have had, let's face it, we're having a reckoning right now. I mean, until an election is stolen, you don't get serious about election integrity about making sure that every vote counts. You just don't. We kind of think everything's fine. It's okay. When you realize it's not okay when things go really bad when the government is telling you what to do with your body. When the government is telling you where you can eat and suddenly people wake up and I just think that this is ultimately it's going to be a time of blessing. If people want to participate in this, these campfire events you're talking about, where can they go? Where can they go? So you could just go to my website and there's the tour dates. What's the website? Her Cameron dot com. Oh. I figured I could send them to Eric metaxas dot com, but they'd probably get all mixed up and confused. And they start wearing bow ties and double breasted jackets and I never wear you know what? That's like a bad sign. Everyone says that to me, or as bow ties, I literally never, ever wear bow ties. But I think maybe my glasses throw people off. They imply bow tie. That's orville redenbacher, I'm thinking of. You look nothing like him. Thank you so much. I died inside just now. I died inside. You look like the brawny paper towel guy. That's a compliment by the way. That's a compliment. But seriously, people can go to dot or trying to look like the brawny paper towel. I'm trying to grow my beard back. So this isn't just me being lazy and not shaving. Yeah. I actually had to shave it for some filming I did. And now I'm trying to grow it back. So I'm in that starter kit phase where I just look like I'm 19 and I'm trying to grow a beard. So it's Kirk Cameron dot com. Yes. Okay, folks. Kirk Cameron dot com. Those states you mentioned. I know that a lot of people are going to want to go to those events. I really wish I could. I just love being with you. And I love what you're doing. Congratulations on the new show. Do we know when it's going to be on the air, takeaways with Kirk Cameron? I believe it's going to be starting sometime in November. I don't have the exact date, but it's coming up soon. "To Kirk Cameron Kirk, I hear a distant dog. It's so beautiful. So bucolic, you're obviously not in Manhattan. Let me ask you a question. Well, you asked me about the Martin email I quote. And of course, it's in my Bernhard for book, but it's everywhere. Martin E Mueller was a hero, a German hero, he fought in World War one. He got into the ministry and he was just an incredible guy. But he was slow to wake up to the Nazi threat. He thought, like a lot of people do like, well, we can work with them or they're not so bad or something, right? Well, when he finally woke up, it was too late, and he wrote a poem and you were talking about it. It's a famous quote where he says, when they came for the trade unionists, I was not a trade unionist. So I didn't speak up. When they came for the communists, I was not a communist, so I didn't say anything. I didn't speak up. When they came for the Jews, I was not a Jew. So I didn't say anything. I didn't speak up. And then when they came for me, there was no one left to speak up for me. And that's the idea is that we need to stand with others when they say I'm gonna cancel so and so. I'm gonna cancel I'm gonna come after so and so if we don't all stand for those people, I say it's about Mike lyndell. I tell people buy pillows you don't need. Use the code Eric. Because if we don't support this guy who's been attacked like crazy, what's going to happen when he's gone? And then they're coming for you. There will be no Mike lindell to stand up for you. We stand with ADF lines defending freedom. They are unbelievable heroes in the fight for religious liberty. I tell people give money to alliance defending freedom. Go to my taxes talk dot com. Be generous because if you help them now, we may live another day. But if you don't help them now, we may lose religious liberty. And the government's gonna come for your money and you won't even be able to give them any money. If we don't all stand now with each other and understand we're in a war now, what will happen to us is what happened to Martin Lee Mueller. He was busy praying and thinking the government's fine. By the time he really woke up, they arrested him. He was in a concentration camp for 8 years, he was completely muzzled. So the church in America today, it's almost like we've muzzled ourselves. And then when we finally realize, oh, we better speak up. It's gonna be too late. So that's, you know, you and I obviously understand these things and we do all we can because we don't want the American church to go the way of the German church. But we will if we don't stand up and speak up. Yeah, it's chilling. All the things that you're saying and then again, people are saying, what can I do? What do I do? And so Eric, you're doing such great work and I know people who are doctors who are lawyers who are teachers, just everyday people out there, moms, dads are pulling their children out of government schools and they recognize education is important that getting involved in civil government voting, running for office is a critically important. And these are things that we've like you've said we've just sort of neglected, right? Somebody else will take care of that stuff. Who wants to hang out with politicians? You know, they're corrupt. And so by our neglect, it ends up becoming more and more corrupt. And so this is a good thing. I think that we are finally being forced to do what we should have been doing all along and I see my role right now at least is to use whatever opportunities God gives me to help people understand what the mandates from heaven are contra the mandates from The White House, and they.

"And by the way, tomorrow, we're playing interview with Tom gilson. He wrote a book, John's mere act recommended him very, very highly. It's a book about Jesus. It's called too good to be false. It's about the character of Jesus. I am just so impressed with what he's done in this book. You can look forward to that tomorrow too good to be false. By Tom gilson, lots, lots coming up this week. Please go to my website Eric taxes dot com sign up for my newsletter so you know where I'm speaking, I'll be all over the place, God bless you. Hey folks, I've got to tell you a secret about relief factor that the father son owners Pete and Seth. Talbott have never made a big deal about, but I think it is a big deal. I really do. They sell the three week quick start pack for just 1995 to anyone struggling from pain like neck shoulder back, hip or knee pain, 1995, about $1 a day. But what they haven't broadcasted much is that every time they sell a three week quick start, they lose money. "kirk cameron" Discussed on The Eric Metaxas Show

"To the Eric metaxas show with your host. Eric metaxas. Welcome to our two and a couple seconds. We have, you know, I don't know how you describe him. Kirk Cameron is just one of the world's nicest guides. And I love talking to him. This is an encore. You may have heard it before. If you haven't heard it before, you'll want to hear it. And if you've heard it before, you really want to hear it, because he's just that nice. I want to read a letter of my book is atheism debt is out. I'm doing tons of media. I have a piece that I wrote that was published yesterday at Fox News dot com. If you go to Fox News dot com, please do actually and share chair it if you would. Fox News dot com. It's called it's an opinion piece. It's probably a little harder to find because they have so many pieces they publish, but it's called is atheism, the enemy of freedom. Is atheism the anime freedom Fox News dot com. So please find it and share it. But I got a letter yesterday from somebody who read it and I want to read the letter. The guy's name is Jason. I won't give his last name. But here's what he wrote. And I want to respond to it because I think it's important to try to clarify this. There's a lot of misunderstanding, frankly. That's a big problem. It's not just that people disagree. They agree on some things. And then they disagree on things where actually agree with you, but they've misunderstood what you're saying. And so I want to clear that up. So here's what here's what Jason wrote yesterday regarding my article at Fox News dot com. He says, I read three article recently posted on Fox News dot com and believe you've come to an ill advice conclusion brought to life through a flawed proposition. You make the accurate representation of our founders using the examples of interdependence between the state and state sanctioned religions as in Europe as a basis of style of government to avoid. So he agrees with that. From there, you divert from their intentions. This is Jason writes the founders, the American founders, men of various faiths and levels of adherence to those faiths. So the marriage of state and faith as a means of limiting freedom. Freedom of religion is written as the prevention of religious influence in self government. Jefferson uses the phrase separation to keep one's personal faith away from the states and distribution of rights to a citizenry. Now, I have to say, I think this this author Jason is getting that exactly wrong. I mean, I see his point, but the fear was a cut in both directions. There was a tremendous fear that once the state gets control of faith, yes, it forces it on citizens, but the point is it's because the church is supposed to let the church be the church and not get involved. Because once the church gets involved, not only, once the state gets involved, not only does it have the possibility as he is correctly saying of coercing citizens. But it also has the ability of perverting and corrupting the church. And that was the real concern. If the church can be the church and have nothing to do officially with the government, it can thrive. It can be voluntary. So I think he gets that wrong, but his point is taken. But then he writes additionally honor valor and duty are not virtues born of the faithful. They are virtues inherent in man. If one can selflessly give meaning to something other than the self. Now, that's where this breaks down for me. We're talking about something like virtues on or valor, duty. I say that come from some kind of faith. They don't have to come from Christian faith. You can be a Roman citizen who believes in the state of Rome in the virtues of Rome, the classical virtues, but it comes in faith in something larger than yourself. So the idea that these virtues could be somehow inherent in man, I just don't know what that means. I think what's inherent in man is self interest. So duty, valor, honor, these are the antitheses of self interest. So I don't know how he can come to that conclusion. It just doesn't make sense to me. I think self interest, you see it in a child. What's inherent in man is me, me, me, no, no, no. Give me give me give me. So I just don't understand that and I disagree with that. He then says, as a proud atheist, I take great offense to the claims made. My belief in the constitution allows me to hold my beliefs while making sure you have the right and freedom to hold yours. Believe me if the day would come where any faith was put on the chopping block, I'd stand with you in solidarity. Now that's beautiful. And I just want to say, this guy, there's some stuff that he really gets that many Christians don't get. And that is key to understand that we need to stand up for each other for the principle of freedom of religion. But then he says, because in the end, the character of a man and the ideals that he, we hold true are what define a nation I think that's right. We.

"First recipe to me. Happy anniversary. Happy anniversary to me. What's that from? Is that like a Looney Tunes? Something. Happy anniversary to me. It sounds like something from cheers or Looney Tunes, but I don't know which. Alvin, thank you for this cake. You're welcome. You purchased it with your own hands. Yes, I did. And you illustrated it, Susanna and I are celebrating our 25th anniversary today. We're going to keep selling it for the whole year. I think we're going to go to Italy in the spring after. Oh yeah, after because I think there's like vaccine mandates and stuff. Yeah, well, delta, then there's epsilon and there's all the ghost as the end of the alphabet. I don't know, zida vina zita theta on beyond zebra at this point. This is a good opportunity to talk about cultural warriors. Yeah, of which you were one, and of course, Mike lyndell is one. I always used to say I'm not a cultural warrior, but it seems like in this day and age, unfortunately, when everybody's hiding, you have to be a cultural warfare. And we want to honor those in American life, we're standing up for what we believe in. So we know there's a culture war going on. We all know that, but some people rise above that and become culture warriors. You can nominate one of those people as the 2021 Salem culture warrior of the year just go to your website, our website, metaxas talk dot com, click on the banner and let's give praise and encouragement to these culture warriors. It's all about this. Here's what I understand. If you go to my taxes talk dot com. Yes. First of all, you need to be going there to give to ADF. Yes. If you haven't done that, you're not going to get a piece of this cake. And I don't care who you are. So you need to go to ADF, the banner at metaxas talk dot com. We need your help. I say it again and again, in these crazy times, we can all do something good. Do something that it is an unadulterated good. A mitzvah as the Jews put it just a good thing, it's kind of like paying it forward. God sees what you do. It's the widow's might. He looks on your heart. We need help in the battle for religious liberty. I know we're pretty far behind on this. Don't get donor fatigue, folks. This is like, if somebody said you have to pay tax, you'd pay it. This is like your taxes are going against religious liberty. This is vital. Alliance defending freedom. Their heroes. But when you go to metaxas talk dot com, you're going to see this culture warrior thing and you get to vote for your Salem culture warrior of the year. But I feel conflicted about this. Yeah. Do I want to tell people to vote for me? Do I want that tag? Now last year, Candace Owens won it. So there's no way you should be voting for Candace Owens. So she's out. She's out. Dennis prager, he doesn't need it, he's out. The next decision doesn't accept awards. No. So he's out. So who's left? I think it's like me and you Hewitt. Well, I'm not kidding. I have no idea whom they want people to vote for. But Salem radio told us, tell your listeners to go to our website and the taxis talk dot com. I think you nominate Mike lyndell and use the code Eric and get an extra time. I don't think you can nominate Mike lindell, otherwise I'd vote for him. It has to be a sailing person. Yeah, I know, but he sponsors our show, so he's kind of like Salem, don't you think? No, but they didn't say that. You got to follow the rules. Well, look, we want everybody.

"That one produces bondage and slavery, the other produces blessing and freedom and if we can educate one another on the right principles, then when this whole thing goes down, we can actually build it back beautifully and biblically. That's why it was given to us. And it is funny, Kirk because you're right. It's like things sometimes have to get really bad before we wake up. And I think that that is happening now when Lincoln talked about a new birth of freedom. I really believe he was speaking prophetically and that that was a prophecy. It was not fulfilled in the 19th century, but I really believe we're on the verge of that being fulfilled, because we have had, let's face it, we're having a reckoning right now. Everyone says that to me, you're as bowtie. I literally never, ever wear bow ties. But I think maybe my glasses throw people off. They imply bow tie. That's orville redenbacher I'm thinking of. You look nothing like him. Thank you so much. I died inside just now. I died inside. You look like the brawny paper towel guy. That's a compliment, by the way. That's a compliment. But seriously, people can go to trying to look like the brawny paper towel. So it's Curt Cameron dot com. Yes. Okay, folks. Kirk Cameron dot com. Those states you mentioned. I know that a lot of people are going to want to go to those events. I really wish I could. I just love being with you. And I love what you're doing. Congratulations on the new show. "To Kirk Cameron Kirk. I hear a distant dog. It's so beautiful. So bucolic, you're obviously not in Manhattan. Let me ask you a question. Well, you asked me about the Martin email I quote. And of course, it's in my Bonham for book, but it's everywhere. Martini Mueller was a hero, a German hero, he fought in World War one. He got into the ministry, and he was just an incredible guy. But he was slow to wake up to the Nazi threat. He thought, like a lot of people do, like, well, we can work with them or they're not so bad or something, right? Well, when he finally woke up, it was too late, and he wrote a poem and you were talking about it. It's a famous quote where he says, when they came for the trade unionists, I was not a trade unionist. So I didn't speak up. When they came for the communists, I was not a communist, so I didn't say anything. I didn't speak up. When they came for the Jews, I was not a Jew. So I didn't say anything. I didn't speak up. And then when they came for me, there was no one left to speak up for me. And that's the idea is that we need to stand with others. When they say, I'm going to cancel so and so. I'm going to cancel I'm going to come after so and so if we don't all stand for those people, I say it's about Mike lyndell. I tell people buy pillows you don't need. Use the code Eric. Because if we don't support this guy who's been attacked like crazy, what's going to happen when he's gone? And then they're coming for you. There will be no Mike lyndell to stand up for you. We stand with ADF lines defending freedom. They are unbelievable heroes in the fight for religious liberty. I tell people, give money to alliance defending freedom. I'm gonna tax his talk dot com. Be generous because if you help them now, we may live another day. But if you don't help them now, we may lose religious liberty. And the government's going to come for your money and you won't even be able to give them any money. And then when we finally realized, oh, we better speak up. It's gonna be too late. So that's, you know, you and I obviously understand these things and we do all we can because we don't want the American church to go the way of the German church. But we will if we don't stand up and speak up. Yeah, it's killing. All the things that you're saying and then again, people are saying, what can I do? What do I do? And so Eric, you're doing such great work and I know people who are doctors who are lawyers who are teachers, just everyday people out there, moms, dads, they're pulling their children out of government schools and they recognize education is important that getting involved in civil government voting, running for office is a critically important. And these are things that we've like you've said we've just sort of neglected. Somebody else will take care of that stuff. Who wants to hang out with politicians? You know, they're corrupt. And so, but by our neglect, it ends up becoming more and more corrupt. And so this is a good thing. I think that we are finally being forced to do what we should have been doing all along and I see my role right now at least, is to use whatever opportunities God gives me to help people understand what the mandates from heaven are contra the mandates from The White House, and they.

Kirk Cameron Tells Us About the American Campfire Revival

"Me bought some talking to my friend Kirk Cameron, Kirk. We love you. You just cheer me up seeing you. You were just bringing something up. I had wanted to be in Plymouth for this past weekend. I wasn't able to do it. But tell us about this. This is so it's just so wonderful. Anybody who hasn't visited that monument, oh my goodness, go ahead. So this is a monument that was the cornerstone was laid in the people of Massachusetts and it was finished in 1889 and president Abraham Lincoln was one of the original contributors to the building of this monument, and it was made to be the monument that told us everything that we needed to know about what made this the Pinnacle nation of the world, the Beacon of freedom and justice for all. And it's what we need to get back to if we want to maintain it. It's called the national monument to the forefathers and this last weekend was the very first of 7 nights of revival under the stars that I'm hosting. It's called the American campfire revival. And it really is sort of springboarded out of that first hundred days during the new administration's run of executive orders. And I thought rather than us just being on the defense, why don't we download the executive orders from heaven, the mandates from above and start running those plays and see what happens. And I made a campfire in my backyard for a hundred nights in a row. It's called the American campfire revival. There it is. Oh my gosh. There are sweatshirts. I love this. And so people would gather online in my backyard around a campfire and we would begin learning the history of our America. Not the 1619 version, but the actual true untold story of our forefathers who covenanted with their creator and applied his word to subdue tyranny and build institutions that would create

No. Just give me a simple answer. Don't beat around the bush. Yes or no? Not yet. Oh. Man. Alvin. That hurts. I didn't have to, because you're publishers cut off. Cut off his mic. Listen, no, you know what? Because I've been so canceled like on YouTube and all these other places. I'm becoming I used to be sort of shy about asking people like forcefully, but I'm telling people there's stuff in this book that is going to freak people out. Like I'm not kidding. I didn't come up with it. It's stuff that I found and I thought, how is it that we who say we are Christians don't know this evidence for God? It's some freaky stuff. And I'm just telling you that, because I didn't get to talk to you on the phone. I'm talking. I'm telling you now on my own show that there's stuff in here it's gonna freak. It's gonna freak you out. You're gonna say, how did I not know this? Is Eric making this up? No, I'm not. Okay, you. Have a new show out. How many shows do you have now, Kirk? What's going on? Well, you mean sort of running concurrently. Yeah, you've got a lot of stuff going on. So there's a really cool show that's coming up on TV and called takeaways. And the idea is that I get the chance to talk with really cool people like you and like Dennis prager and like dinesh d'souza and Charlie Kirk and my sister Candace Cameron and other people. And I often think to myself, it's great when we talk about stuff, but what we need is some takeaways of brilliance, some action points where we can actually do something with all of this knowledge. Just like in your book, is atheism dead. I'm sure that you give people ideas on what we can do, how we can actually utilize the information in there. And so that's what I've tried to do with this new program called takeaways. In my book, is atheism dead. I don't do anything of the kind. And I apologize. Maybe in the second edition of it I'll have some, you know, some things like that. But listen, I always joke around, especially with my friends, but what you just said and the idea of this show is really important because I do get that question incessantly. I'll have somebody on this program talking about people always say, what can I do specifically? And so that's literally what this new show is about. What's my takeaway? Yeah, what's my what's my takeaways? That's always been my frustration. I talked to really brilliant people and there's fantastic commentators that can articulate all of the hypocrisy and all of the corruption that we see around us and where all these bobble heads going. Yes, yes, I see exactly what you're talking about. But what do we do? I gotta be a part of it. I get an idea for some California evangelicals who might be tuning in. Here's a hot tip for you. You could vote pregnant pause there are plenty of people of faith that didn't vote in the last couple of elections didn't vote to recall Gavin Newsom. Folks, I think it's your duty as a believer to vote against wicked policies and things. And where do you think that idea comes from Kirk that we in America, I mean, you could see the German church brought into this lie in the 30s and it didn't go so well. But there are so many people that, you know, I mean, when we say what you can do, like the most basic thing is vote, like make sure you vote that you're involved. That to me is like the most basic thing. There's so much else to do, but I know that the numbers of folks that didn't vote in this recall election, I thought, wow. It would have been so easy to recall this governor who's completely lost touch with what I like to call reality. But they didn't vote. I mean, that's almost the first thing I'm embarrassed bring it up really. And you and I both know that there's another there's another option on the table that nobody really wants to talk about and that the other option is maybe they did. Maybe they did. I mean, I know, and I know counties here in California that are so red that supposedly turned out blue, you wonder what the heck is going on? We're not allowed to talk about fraud. Hey, we are not allowed to talk about the stolen election on Fox News. Do you understand that? And here's the good news. We're not on Fox News. So let's talk. Well, so we sense that we're in trouble in our country and I'm encouraged when I see you know what I think we serve a God who is sovereign. And with a providential view of history and what's going on, that gives me great hope for the future. And God is guiding the pressures in our culture. I believe to cause all things to work out for good for those who love him. Amen. And so what I'm seeing right now, Eric is we're whining and we are crying for being deplatformed and canceled and censored. Yeah. But now we're realizing wait a minute. Why are we depending on all of these systems and organizations that hate us anyway? We need to start creating our own alternative channels and platforms and distribution systems and finally out of necessity we're beginning to do that. And I see that is perhaps God pushing us to do the things we have been doing. For the last hundred years there's no question about it. I'm right there with you. That is clearly how I see. I mean, look, we know all things work together for good for those that love the lord and call the according to the purpose. We know that. But sometimes the lord allows us to glimpse it actually. And I think that what you're saying right now is are being able to glimpse of one way in which this dark season is working together for good is that there are people that have been sleepwalking and they're waking up. And look, I talked about it in my bonhoff for book. I mean, there were tons of good people who did not really want to deal with the situation. And when they finally did wake up, it was too late. I believe in this country what's going on right now. It's just what you said. There are people waking up right now..

And i said well i mean that was the point but so yes to answer question. It is really a faith based approach to. How do we deal with our mental health issues. "School. I i love to read to graduation. And so she's seventeen years old and she wrote home called life within. And i'm reading here says life will not wait for you and you must not wait to live each. Each moment is chance to give for. The purpose of life is to serve not received what will be remembered when this world you leave will the message left recounting existence barely beginning or a life full of passion and purpose and giving on that singular day when the body fails when the flesh becomes weak and mortality prevails. What has been taken. What truly forgotten. If your hope is in heaven less attractive than got then let not your spirit the essence of you leave this beautiful world without imparting something new your spirit. Your smile is profoundest gift not to yourself but to those others. It lifts up to communion up to us up to joy. Upton truce your vessel on the eve of a shore holding liquid potential your job simply pour pour into a mind pour into a soul pour into a hard and press on toward that shore and while you press on dive into the presence jumped into the air and grasp heavens wings if things scare and excite you do those things live with zest and dance in the sun. Life's not a race nor is it yet done but the joyful ones have already one. May these words be a call to engage life new wherever you go. Whatever you do you are vessel and christ. Is your guide. Be filled with excitement. Reject pride be thoughtful and listen hug an embrace and let god's joy bloom in your face feel the wonder of life go forth with courage grin. Christ lives inside you. your strength is with it. I love that. I read that. Here's why i read that long owned you and thank you for listening. That's what makes it all worth it to me. Is dad whistle your kids into pour into them and then see the fruit out so sweet like that and it's not always gonna be that way. That was one of my kids is a kid. Didn't write poems like that. But in different ways god shows you that your work in all your toil and your sleepless nights and your sank was days are not in vain and he will finish the work that he starts in your kids and and he will reward your faithfulness as a parent. I love that so much third. John says there's no greater joy than knowing that your children are walking in righteousness. And that's what it's all about kirk. That's what parenting is all about. It's all about leading our kids. Towards christ raising them up to live a life that honors god in impacts his kingdom. And and i know you. And i have talked about that and that everything we do everything we do through home schooling to raising our kids into adulthood everything we do should be for the kingdom of god into impacting others and leading people to lifesaving relationship with jesus and that is what it's all about homeschooling is all about that's parenting and marriage and everything is about is about leading people to jesus it is and yes and i like to remind people that i think. A true view of the gospel goes beyond just making sure kids get the have. I think it's so much about bringing heaven earth through our children aren't set have been transformed so just thinking about this morning This i'm in our tour bus and we've got the news on and so they're talking about. The democratic debates coming up bloomberg is now going to jump into the race. And you know this. This party is slamming this party in its in its nuts and crazy and who you believe anymore all this and we say trump's got another crazy tweet but look at all the good things he did over here and and these people have compassion or do they really all of the the chaos that we see in the political world. Wouldn't it be great. If we had ten candidates to choose from all illegal world us we would say well that would be wonderful Will the how is that going to happen. Let's make let's make a one hundred year plan right now. Let's start with and let's plan on our children's children being those candidates that we look up there on that debate ago at i'll take any of the five on the running their great. I'm wouldn't that be great. How are we going to do that. I think that plan involves home schooling. I think that's the that is the greatest hope we have for having a nation in a world that turns around her which by the way is what is the view. We ought to have unfortunately a lot of christmas. They have the view of saying well. The reason that all of the political leaders in the world are so rotten is because the devils in charge and he's the one controlling everything and i go. Wait a minute. I i get. I get the concept. But jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. He took the keys to the kingdom. All authority was given to him. He rose into heaven and says now that i have all authority go and make disciples of every nation and so. Let's start right here with america. If you're watching in america let's do cycle. The united states of america teach them how to obey the commands of god. And the way that we do that is by disabling our own children in our own home and in fifty years let's have one candidate with solid biblical worldview. Who cares about people. That'd be a great start amen amen. I love monumental to. I told you that. If you guys haven't seen monumental must see literally put your kids in front of the tv today. Stop all your schooling in watch. I think is it on amazon prime. I think it was at one point. You're amazon or netflix. i'm not sure. I think it's on amazon prime. But it's fantastic and it will bring just more of that message of just getting back to you are the godly roots of our nation. So really quickly. Because i know we're out of time. Can you just tell people really quickly about some of the things you have going on. I wanna talk about living room reset just where you're going to be in. "You are sure to be encouraged now onto part too. I love that you talk about praying for one another because even if our husbands work outside of the home even when they're gone we can be praying for them and there's something pretty amazing about when you're praying for someone. It's it's kind of hard to be at odds with them. And so you know there's the relationship is built sometimes even when you're not together like you're saying you're part but you can still be together in united through prayer and i think that so so important And you know where my heart goes out to moms and dads husbands and wives who really have a challenge in this area where a job is taking someone away for six months at a time. No sometimes someone's out on an oil rig for months and months three year or deployed to a foreign country and they're put in harm's way and they're gone for six months nine months a year and it makes what we're dealing with. Look like you know easy street. Yeah the truth. Is god though can take those times and really use it to produce developed grace's in us fruit of the spirit in us Patients faith self control all those kinds of things that we pray for and so. I'm glad that in all of the challenges of marriage parenting we have a sovereign. God works all things together for good for those who love him even the really hard things. Yeah yeah we were talking about fireproof earlier and that story. If you guys haven't seen fireproof you need to see it. It's such a good. Maybe monumental is actually my favorite movie of yours. But fireproof is such a good movie in regards to marriage and in that movie. You talked about how you and your actress wife. You're at odds with one another. She had served you with divorce papers. And then you really worked to bring back the relationship to bring back the love and she pushed you away for a really really long time and one of the reasons for that was because she really had a hard time forgiving you for some of the things that you were done And so. I would love to talk about forgiveness because that is something. That's so big. And i think sometimes we forget about the necessity of forgiving our spouse or seeking forgiveness ourselves. We just wanna remain bitter. Because you and i both know kirk. We've been married a long time. There's no perfect marriage. There is hurt. Always because we're sinful people and so i- forever. Till the day the lord takes garrett or i always going to hurt him non intentionally because i love him to death. But i'm gonna hurt him to stay things. I'm going to do things. I'm gonna make faces whatever that are going to be hurtful. And he's going to do the same timmy. Because we're central people and so sometimes we wanted to lash well. You're not doing this right. You're not being the husband i want you to be. You're not being the wife. And i want you to be and we're forgetting about the whole idea of forgiveness and of course you know god's forgiveness to us and then forgiving one another so. Can we talk about forgiveness. That'll be kinda define forgiveness and then how that can work in to healing a marriage. That might be hurting sure. I wish my wife chelsea was here. Because she's she's far more practice forgiving than i asked i. I've taken it upon myself to give her amber opportunity to really perfect the art of giving i think there's no better definition of first of all i would say that one of the number one lessons that that any couple. I think has to learn if you want your relationship to be strong over the long haul. If you if you want your marriage get better and better over time nine bitter over time you have to learn how to forgive because like you said in two centers come together and say i do You're going to injure one another and for a variety of reasons So forgiveness is key and the problem is we tend to hold onto this record of wrongs. You know i remember when you did that last time and you always do that or you never in. It's always this remembrance of past injuries that we bring up and we almost. I use it to sort of win a fight. That's about to start in. God says love doesn't keep a record of wrongs and the great definition of that is is of course the way that god forgave us in christ so god doesn't go through my list of sins and say well you know i'll forgive you for that one in that one that one but not that one that one's just too big That was that was that was high handed crime and migrates is not gonna even touch that one he waves it all clean and it's sort of a miraculous undeserved beautiful gift. And then he turns to us and says says just as god forgave you now you put away all rage and anger malice and slander and be kind and compassionate toward one another and forgive one another the way i forgave you and of course that sounds so great ontario that come on garrett's or curve. Just do that. But it's so hard to do when you've been injured and they may do it again and you are being called a Continually invest in something. That could hurt you over and over again But that's that's the same kind of love. The god chose to us and chelsea loves to talk about how forgiveness to hurry. His is both a crisis moment and a process that there's this crisis moment of coming to god the one who forgave me of my sin and saying god. I'm feeling hurt and wounded because this person did this to me and rather than just pretending like it didn't happen trying to forget about it actually identifying the injury in saying lord. This person betrayed me. And and i'm feeling so wounded by this. I'm having a difficult time trusting them. I don't want to happen again. But i don't want it to. I don't want sort of have malice and bitterness toward this person. So i'm gonna. I'm laying this issue at your at the foot of the cross and i'm asking you to help me show kindness to this person and not to hold this over their head. You forgave me. Helped me to forgive this person using the strength to do that and then begin to show kindness to a person who doesn't deserve it and when we fail at that process of showing kindness and compassion to the person. That's harmed us. We rather than going back to unforgiveness and bitterness. We go back to the cross. And say lord i blew it. I i've i've turned this whole thing back around now to to me being a bitter and angry again. Please forgive me and helped me again to show the kind of grace to this person that you have shown me and eventually through that process god will help you to break free from that prison of bitterness actually be able to fully and completely forgive that person and show them kindness and grace now having said that. I'm not talking about violent abusive situation the end divorce and other sorts of Biblical.

Kirk Cameron's latest mask-less sing-along protest slammed as 'irresponsible'

"Used to be an actor in this house, just sort of an X factor. That's all years. Um CNN wrote this up. Kirk Cameron is facing criticism for organizing at least two events in southern California in recent weeks, where dozens of people without masks stood shoulder to shoulder to sing Christmas carols in protest. Stay at home mandates. He cursed people to do this. At one point he was in the Oaks Mall. If 1000 Oaks, California, they asked him to leave. We do not condone this irresponsible, constitutionally protected peaceful protests. We share your concern have notified the sheriff's office, but they did it anyway. They did it anyway, because These are people to whom science doesn't matter. Their lack of faith in science will protect them as they sing. You know? How do you know how much air you expelled when you sing? Particularly if you're doing it right from the diagram. Aerosols everywhere. Yes, His right to protest is protected. His right to bring people out to infect each other is not what sort of
