"School. I i love to read to graduation. And so she's seventeen years old and she wrote home called life within. And i'm reading here says life will not wait for you and you must not wait to live each. Each moment is chance to give for. The purpose of life is to serve not received what will be remembered when this world you leave will the message left recounting existence barely beginning or a life full of passion and purpose and giving on that singular day when the body fails when the flesh becomes weak and mortality prevails. What has been taken. What truly forgotten. If your hope is in heaven less attractive than got then let not your spirit the essence of you leave this beautiful world without imparting something new your spirit. Your smile is profoundest gift not to yourself but to those others. It lifts up to communion up to us up to joy. Upton truce your vessel on the eve of a shore holding liquid potential your job simply pour pour into a mind pour into a soul pour into a hard and press on toward that shore and while you press on dive into the presence jumped into the air and grasp heavens wings if things scare and excite you do those things live with zest and dance in the sun. Life's not a race nor is it yet done but the joyful ones have already one. May these words be a call to engage life new wherever you go. Whatever you do you are vessel and christ. Is your guide. Be filled with excitement. Reject pride be thoughtful and listen hug an embrace and let god's joy bloom in your face feel the wonder of life go forth with courage grin. Christ lives inside you. your strength is with it. I love that. I read that. Here's why i read that long owned you and thank you for listening. That's what makes it all worth it to me. Is dad whistle your kids into pour into them and then see the fruit out so sweet like that and it's not always gonna be that way. That was one of my kids is a kid. Didn't write poems like that. But in different ways god shows you that your work in all your toil and your sleepless nights and your sank was days are not in vain and he will finish the work that he starts in your kids and and he will reward your faithfulness as a parent. I love that so much third. John says there's no greater joy than knowing that your children are walking in righteousness. And that's what it's all about kirk. That's what parenting is all about. It's all about leading our kids. Towards christ raising them up to live a life that honors god in impacts his kingdom. And and i know you. And i have talked about that and that everything we do everything we do through home schooling to raising our kids into adulthood everything we do should be for the kingdom of god into impacting others and leading people to lifesaving relationship with jesus and that is what it's all about homeschooling is all about that's parenting and marriage and everything is about is about leading people to jesus it is and yes and i like to remind people that i think. A true view of the gospel goes beyond just making sure kids get the have. I think it's so much about bringing heaven earth through our children aren't set have been transformed so just thinking about this morning This i'm in our tour bus and we've got the news on and so they're talking about. The democratic debates coming up bloomberg is now going to jump into the race. And you know this. This party is slamming this party in its in its nuts and crazy and who you believe anymore all this and we say trump's got another crazy tweet but look at all the good things he did over here and and these people have compassion or do they really all of the the chaos that we see in the political world. Wouldn't it be great. If we had ten candidates to choose from all illegal world us we would say well that would be wonderful Will the how is that going to happen. Let's make let's make a one hundred year plan right now. Let's start with and let's plan on our children's children being those candidates that we look up there on that debate ago at i'll take any of the five on the running their great. I'm wouldn't that be great. How are we going to do that. I think that plan involves home schooling. I think that's the that is the greatest hope we have for having a nation in a world that turns around her which by the way is what is the view. We ought to have unfortunately a lot of christmas. They have the view of saying well. The reason that all of the political leaders in the world are so rotten is because the devils in charge and he's the one controlling everything and i go. Wait a minute. I i get. I get the concept. But jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. He took the keys to the kingdom. All authority was given to him. He rose into heaven and says now that i have all authority go and make disciples of every nation and so. Let's start right here with america. If you're watching in america let's do cycle. The united states of america teach them how to obey the commands of god. And the way that we do that is by disabling our own children in our own home and in fifty years let's have one candidate with solid biblical worldview. Who cares about people. That'd be a great start amen amen. I love monumental to. I told you that. If you guys haven't seen monumental must see literally put your kids in front of the tv today. Stop all your schooling in watch. I think is it on amazon prime. I think it was at one point. You're amazon or netflix. i'm not sure. I think it's on amazon prime. But it's fantastic and it will bring just more of that message of just getting back to you are the godly roots of our nation. So really quickly. Because i know we're out of time. "Is california. You know you could get record in jail for this so I go surfing with my kids. You know bike riding a campfire. Go camping go fishing. I don't know which is sons loved to do they. May they may not like to do any of that kind of stuff he may they may be more artistic and may love to to to to sing to act and do some of the things that i do are living. I would say you know the most important thing we learned is just being relationship with your kids. Do life together Life is is is much richer much much more fun. And i think the way god designed it is be is for us to be together and family is is just so important so Asked the kids what they wanna do and find time to do those things with them in the midst of all of your teaching in all of your Education and all that kind of stuff. Yeah and let them be boys because boys our boys are different. Boys have cooties. I know okay. Here's their here is Possibly the last question that we're going to be able to get to bed. It says what is your most treasured advice for. Homeschooling families today most treasured advice. Let's see let's think about this So let me. Let me just rephrase this way if you had someone who came to you instead kirk. Why should i home school my kids. What would you say to them. Why should i home school my kids. Well i would say there's there's so many benefits of home schooling your kids We've we've had our struggles with with home. Schooling pump schooling is not This utopia were you know all kids turn out perfectly as long as you get. You know you take a class and you get the sun life curriculum or the curriculum or whatever. It is there's struggles with academics struggles with laziness. Their struggles with a sibling rivalry. Everybody being in the house you can have cabin fever all this kind of stuff. But we've learned to trust god that our kids are in his hands to remember that none of them are finished. I'm not finished yet. Thank god god still working on our kids and that can continue to obey god and train them up in the way they should go that he's going to produce a good result a lot of families who can feel and they feel exhausted. They feel discouraged wondering if they're doing the right thing am i ruined my kid's education by home schooling them because i'm not an expert in these areas feeling like they're going to have a nervous breakdown and i i would say three things number one the best advice anyone ever gave me. Is you know that the secret to be coming to being a good parent and into raising good kids is be an example of what you want. Your children to become a lot of people think will is all about the curriculum. I gotta have a right curriculum or this home. Sporting things not gonna were no. Actually you are the you. Their parents are the most important curricula. I would say that and someone told us that and at the end of the day if you can model joy in your home even when you're frustrated over well if you can model patience and self control and integrity and face and hard work ethic you are building those things into your kids those most essential qualities you wanna see in them. There's no class they're gonna take her curriculum. You're gonna give them. That's going to be more important than them. Just living with somebody who is a living breathing example of everything you wanna see in your kids so strive to be the kind of person you want them to do you love books but sometimes feel overwhelmed the sheer volume of titles. That are out there. It's impossible to read everything. It's even impossible to keep up with what's coming out. On any given week there are so many. Publishers genres authors titles. Even good sized bookstores can hardly keep back. So how do you know what actually worth checking out. That's where forma a digital and print journal published by. The sursee institute comes in handy each week. They provide reviews of a carefully. Curated selection of new books many of them lesser known but important titles from lesser known but important publishers. Bill suggests titles won't want to miss and sometimes they'll provide unique perspectives on books. Everyone is already reading. So if you'd like some help pointing you in the right literary direction head over to former journal dot com for both free and subscriber content. You can even have weekly reviews delivered to your inbox again. Visit former journal dot com the next best piece of advice. Someone gave us is staying relationship with your kids. It's so easy to get into adversarial places with your kids or you feel like It's it's against my three year old you ever felt like or it's me against my second team year old and they think they've got everything figured out and you know nothing you know you don't know how to use technology the way that they do and there's so much smarter and so much wiser and it's very easy to get an odd and you know what we understand that. At some point the consequences of their decisions are all going to come crashing down on them and when they do who do we want them to turn to they want. We want them to turn to us. And so we've got to find a way to stay in relationship with our kids and for me. That's often just saying i'm gonna take a deep breath. Relax realized that. I can't fix everything that needs to be fixed in my kids right now. Some of these things. God's gonna gonna face he only is the one who can fix them and i'm just gonna continue trying to be an example of what i wanna see in my kids and i'm gonna let them know that i love them. I'm here for them. I wanna be with them even when when we don't always agree on things and there's nothing they could ever do to make me not love that. And then lastly i would say teach them the word of god you wrote in a question about marriage and family How do i talk to my kids about marriage between being between a man and a woman i would say. There's a thousand issues that our kids need to understand from god's perspective those are the ways that leads a blessing and i would say don't give up a biblical education. That's the most important thing you could ever your kids And it will lead to healthy marriages healthy families and ultimately a healthy nation. So student of the viol yourself and then teach them find ways to teach your kids. God's truth on every subject man amount of that. I know we're running out of time here. I would love to if you don't mind just read to you a home that my daughter wrote and i'm not trying to be that parent. I'm not trying to like you know.

"Situations where you should be separated. You should be in counseling. You need to get professional hell and And there are times where You need to get out of that situation and so Wisdom and discernment is necessary. Sharon i mean there are oftentimes where you it is necessary to find a good biblical leader counselor. Somebody to help work through this and and most of the time. I would imagine that they probably would help you work through the issue of forgiveness. I i mean that's kind of where it all stems from. And just because you forgive doesn't mean that that other person is always going to change they may. They may not utilizing about forgiveness. Right is that is really not about to even even always saying that person. I forgive you. I mean it's great. If they repent say. I'm sorry i was wrong but you know it's really more than more than because sometimes you. Can you know that. I can be like. What do you mean you for giving me. I didn't do anything wrong. Some people are completely unrepentant. But that doesn't mean you have to stay in the prison of bitterness due to their unrepentant. You this is between you and god primarily me got released me from the bitterness that i feel and he'll meet from the hurt that i feel so that i can move on showing love and kindness even to my enemies and people that hurt me and you're no longer shackled and chained to this past event that Just has a dark cloud hanging over your head. He has read comes when when you have that moment was god and he set you free. Yup and what a great example that is to our kids for them to be able to see forgiveness in our in our relationships with one another as as has been in life. And that's an important thing. I i love again. We talked about chelsea flying all the way from california to georgia to you and the reason robin point like dub. That's pretty good. You're welcome that's commitment right there but you know what i love about. Is that you so deeply. Cherish your relationship with your wife. We have seen marriages that you know. They're they're they're they stay married but basically they live as roommates has been wife has been does his thing he has his man cave wife does her thing. She goes out with her girlfriends. She tends to the kids. She tends to the house and it's almost like two completely separate lives. And it's kind of almost like like a business partnership more than a marriage and i i a c that you and chelsea truly have a commitment to one another where you cherish one. Another as husband and wife and so can. Can we talk a little bit about. Just the idea of just cherishing one another in the marriage relationship. Sure i. I think that that's so important to cherish one another. In fact it's part of the marriage vow that us take all of the all over the world were saying we love and cherish one another till death do us part and the love part is something that we hear about. All the time in sermons and songs and You know to love is to overlook someone's falls to put them to the patient to be kind But the cherishing part is something that. I don't hear a lot of sermons on and if you look in the scriptures you find this book that is Embarrassingly wonderful that. You don't hear many sermons on and that is the song of solomon always. I'm always laughed and said that's the bulk of the couple of cherishes so much we sort of wish that maybe it wasn't in our children's precious moments bible right. Don't want them to discover that too early. But in that in that relationship you see a couple who is cherishing. Each other and I i like to say that there are three characteristics. That really leave off the page when you re their love story and number one their their their cherishing love is exclusive. I mean they're not sharing it with anybody else will even culture where we had these open relationships and sort of you know the sexual revolution of of free. Love everywhere and our redefining. So many things with regard to romantic love that. I think it's it's a shame because you read that story between that shepherd that made in and you say wow. That's the kind of relationship. I would love to have with my spouse. It is so exclusive. It is sacred. It's holy i mean They speak about one. Another in such exclusive terms. You'd think there was nobody else living on the planet when they were saying these things to each other. Sort of like adam and eve you know when the when when adam saw e he must have been just in shaw shock and awe and wonder i mean all he had seen prior to that was a bunch of sheep and goats in animals at our sudden. Here's the ease and the thing that made it so so beautiful. I think is that she was the only woman on the planet for him literally and he couldn't have been happier he wasn't comparing either was she and i think that we need to get back to a view. Cherishing love in marriage that is exclusive. And that's where that's where the magic is. That's where the the beauty is. You also see that. They're that they're cherishing of one. Another is expressed in the words that they use for each other You know they're they're constantly speaking of one another's qualities those inequalities that don't fade with time but that get richer and deeper there You know what kind of a person they are. Their character qualities their face. And then they also you know complement one another with with funny words. You see them talking about your hair is like a flock of sending from the hills of gilead and your teeth are light. She washed in the river and he knew. And you just almost laugh when you read their story and how they take every opportunity that they can to cherish each other and and their relationships very romantic and so Cherishing one another is something that chelsea and i have been Fascinated to learn more about and it's been so much fun to practice these biblical principles of cherishing each other and i think that it It keeps marriage alive. And citing. I think so too. Do you love books. But sometimes feel overwhelmed with the sheer volume of titles. That are there. It's impossible to read everything. It's even impossible to keep up with what's coming out on any given week. There're so many. Publishers genres authors titles. Even good sized bookstores can hardly keep up. "You are sure to be encouraged now onto part too. I love that you talk about praying for one another because even if our husbands work outside of the home even when they're gone we can be praying for them and there's something pretty amazing about when you're praying for someone. It's it's kind of hard to be at odds with them. And so you know there's the relationship is built sometimes even when you're not together like you're saying you're part but you can still be together in united through prayer and i think that so so important And you know where my heart goes out to moms and dads husbands and wives who really have a challenge in this area where a job is taking someone away for six months at a time. No sometimes someone's out on an oil rig for months and months three year or deployed to a foreign country and they're put in harm's way and they're gone for six months nine months a year and it makes what we're dealing with. Look like you know easy street. Yeah the truth. Is god though can take those times and really use it to produce developed grace's in us fruit of the spirit in us Patients faith self control all those kinds of things that we pray for and so. I'm glad that in all of the challenges of marriage parenting we have a sovereign. God works all things together for good for those who love him even the really hard things. Yeah yeah we were talking about fireproof earlier and that story. If you guys haven't seen fireproof you need to see it. It's such a good. Maybe monumental is actually my favorite movie of yours. But fireproof is such a good movie in regards to marriage and in that movie. You talked about how you and your actress wife. You're at odds with one another. She had served you with divorce papers. And then you really worked to bring back the relationship to bring back the love and she pushed you away for a really really long time and one of the reasons for that was because she really had a hard time forgiving you for some of the things that you were done And so. I would love to talk about forgiveness because that is something. That's so big. And i think sometimes we forget about the necessity of forgiving our spouse or seeking forgiveness ourselves. We just wanna remain bitter. Because you and i both know kirk. We've been married a long time. There's no perfect marriage. There is hurt. Always because we're sinful people and so i- forever. Till the day the lord takes garrett or i always going to hurt him non intentionally because i love him to death. But i'm gonna hurt him to stay things. I'm going to do things. I'm gonna make faces whatever that are going to be hurtful. And he's going to do the same timmy. Because we're central people and so sometimes we wanted to lash well. You're not doing this right. You're not being the husband i want you to be. You're not being the wife. And i want you to be and we're forgetting about the whole idea of forgiveness and of course you know god's forgiveness to us and then forgiving one another so. Can we talk about forgiveness. That'll be kinda define forgiveness and then how that can work in to healing a marriage. That might be hurting sure. I wish my wife chelsea was here. Because she's she's far more practice forgiving than i asked i. I've taken it upon myself to give her amber opportunity to really perfect the art of giving i think there's no better definition of first of all i would say that one of the number one lessons that that any couple. I think has to learn if you want your relationship to be strong over the long haul. If you if you want your marriage get better and better over time nine bitter over time you have to learn how to forgive because like you said in two centers come together and say i do You're going to injure one another and for a variety of reasons So forgiveness is key and the problem is we tend to hold onto this record of wrongs. You know i remember when you did that last time and you always do that or you never in. It's always this remembrance of past injuries that we bring up and we almost. I use it to sort of win a fight. That's about to start in. God says love doesn't keep a record of wrongs and the great definition of that is is of course the way that god forgave us in christ so god doesn't go through my list of sins and say well you know i'll forgive you for that one in that one that one but not that one that one's just too big That was that was that was high handed crime and migrates is not gonna even touch that one he waves it all clean and it's sort of a miraculous undeserved beautiful gift. And then he turns to us and says says just as god forgave you now you put away all rage and anger malice and slander and be kind and compassionate toward one another and forgive one another the way i forgave you and of course that sounds so great ontario that come on garrett's or curve. Just do that. But it's so hard to do when you've been injured and they may do it again and you are being called a Continually invest in something. That could hurt you over and over again But that's that's the same kind of love. The god chose to us and chelsea loves to talk about how forgiveness to hurry. His is both a crisis moment and a process that there's this crisis moment of coming to god the one who forgave me of my sin and saying god. I'm feeling hurt and wounded because this person did this to me and rather than just pretending like it didn't happen trying to forget about it actually identifying the injury in saying lord. This person betrayed me. And and i'm feeling so wounded by this. I'm having a difficult time trusting them. I don't want to happen again. But i don't want it to. I don't want sort of have malice and bitterness toward this person. So i'm gonna. I'm laying this issue at your at the foot of the cross and i'm asking you to help me show kindness to this person and not to hold this over their head. You forgave me. Helped me to forgive this person using the strength to do that and then begin to show kindness to a person who doesn't deserve it and when we fail at that process of showing kindness and compassion to the person. That's harmed us. We rather than going back to unforgiveness and bitterness. We go back to the cross. And say lord i blew it. I i've i've turned this whole thing back around now to to me being a bitter and angry again. Please forgive me and helped me again to show the kind of grace to this person that you have shown me and eventually through that process god will help you to break free from that prison of bitterness actually be able to fully and completely forgive that person and show them kindness and grace now having said that. I'm not talking about violent abusive situation the end divorce and other sorts of Biblical.

That shows all those that help trump in the impeachment thing. Whatever you know we. We don't like these guys and they just listed named with a rat figure by mitch. You've seen this before. This is heck. Thomas jefferson and hamilton. Going after each other you know when they signed the declaration. I think some of the hamlets was only twenty years. Old twenty one. They're all really young people. A lot of these guys were young. The here we have the story is christian. Actor kirk cameron host mask free. Caroline event the protest california's kovic mandates. So screw it. We're just going to go out and go caroline so it's like one hundred californians. You know just go out. And they christmas. Carol then of course there comes to news and then there's always you know some guy or woman you know karen or you know ken doll or something out there screaming that they're not in mask and i can't understand what they're saying because they got their math so it's just It's it's like this is going to continue. It's going to go up and you've seen if you watch the movie in one thousand nine hundred eighty four. You can see that that that was one of the things they get together in the evenings and it would have you know. Rosenberger wants to stein or something up there and the york. He'd be playing and saying something they'd yelling out to get all passionate about. They have to have that expression at that that anger. You know that fear that there's primal emotions that are used against us in short circuits critical thinking. You're not allowed to just sit there and think about it so we're gonna just gonna think for a second now what i really don't know i mean you know we we talk about being out here and kind of you know. This is not going to be an installation. Can i mean being being out of the population will insulate you for a certain period of time or your survival. It they're going to they're going to eventually to the farthest reaches of the earth. They will stick their little finger in everybody's business because you will be part of the collective and you will get on board or he'll just be gone. I'm wondering what it's gonna take to get out of their way. You know there is no and if you're not in this. I mean when i say if you're not in their control your out of control and they always out of control does what does that mean. Is he doing something bad. And you'll know that the point of the government is to keep you in their control to have you. Do what your their tax slave. You're there you know pharmacy. If you're their resource slave you're there you know. And then when somebody was have access a tariff is just a charge for renting us or something her slave charge. You know for seldom stuff the and looking at the whole thing. I go through the internet. A lot of. I do a lot of research a lot of the stories that you see up is me going through. When you see cenex reader for robert lee. those probably ninety percent of them are might stories. You know that. I go through a lot of the others that you see. Some of them are from our readers and listeners. That you know. Send us stuff we put up. I get a lot of stuff from you. Know the telegram. You guys Putting stuff up there you'll see re posted. This is worldwide and i. I don't know win. now's the time you attack. Attack attack resist resist resist go. It's incremental on so many. I remember talking to laugher art laffer from you know the laugher curb. You'll voodoo economics and trickle down economic whatever they call it and his whole thing was we were at an event that we we asked question. Pal gamble my senior editor at time. Nine stuff this. His whole thing was to have a the most revenue for the government. You can't have a really big tax. Nobody will pay if you don't have any tax. Nobody so he's like there's a there's a sweet middle in there but you don't wanna have one thing like all from income tax or all from sales tax or all from you gotta spread it out and a bunch of regulations and fees licensing tax this tax tax tax tax tax tax. And i remember it was a big deal. We had to. You know the stadium district tax that they did over the county to fund stadiums with bonds. And then they had a a car rental tax those people renting cars from out of state. So we can eat out there substance. Screw them eating your substance and then they had a line you know and this became a common thing around. The country was a hotel tax. So what they're thinking is that you know we're not taxing our people. Just everybody comes visit us. You know we're going to get them and arizona really started in. The nineties started going after the tourist. How can we milk them and it so laugher his whole thing was you. Don't get anyone big tax. You have all of these little taxes so that your resources to go to do away with one little mac. It wasn't worth it. You spend more trying to get rid of it and just paying it so but if you could do that on everything well. He was given that presentation. And i'm going. Whoa i was what about having more money. For the people the individual's y you're trying to maximize resources for the government. The hell is that her conservative goldwater cato institute of presentation lunch when i go. What is this about. And he goes well he looked right at me and probably five hundred whatever people there and he goes so we can spend it might as well just said dummy right so spent dummy well so we can spend it any any minute. We as in their crowd. And you look around. And i knew all these people were just special interest in the state of whatever and they use the liberty block votes or movement or influence to get what they wonder. It's the other side of the same coin that they wanna get. I will fight the war from the north. And i will support the game from my lands in the south in. You know. the style of the game is played. So when you watch been been bob watch a little bit been watching. Binge-watching game of thrones. And i you know we've had it on you know drive that bad internet so know we'll just started i. I've had it for a year. And i the i knew once i started you know i was going to be a thank so i'm just going no i'm not. I'm until i got time. You'll the holidays here right. You know i go to bed or you know. Take a nap or something. I'll just put on another episode. So don i've been watching that and it's so timely is how they and through the whole thing you know how many thousands or millions or hundreds of thousands of people die or get killed in the inconsequential about how it serves them what they can get away with. It's just a it's a story of you know. Game of thrones game of thrones. But it's all about human nature. Humans don't change. Which is why people talk about the founding fathers and all that with the documents they're old dated human nature hasn't changed millennia. Human sat around and thought about it. Humans are humans and that's why they designed the founding in this country. The way they did was to try to minimize it and unfortunately they obviously left some cracks in the hidden the armor because know they then those are in.

Kirk Cameron's latest mask-less sing-along protest slammed as 'irresponsible'

"Used to be an actor in this house, just sort of an X factor. That's all years. Um CNN wrote this up. Kirk Cameron is facing criticism for organizing at least two events in southern California in recent weeks, where dozens of people without masks stood shoulder to shoulder to sing Christmas carols in protest. Stay at home mandates. He cursed people to do this. At one point he was in the Oaks Mall. If 1000 Oaks, California, they asked him to leave. We do not condone this irresponsible, constitutionally protected peaceful protests. We share your concern have notified the sheriff's office, but they did it anyway. They did it anyway, because These are people to whom science doesn't matter. Their lack of faith in science will protect them as they sing. You know? How do you know how much air you expelled when you sing? Particularly if you're doing it right from the diagram. Aerosols everywhere. Yes, His right to protest is protected. His right to bring people out to infect each other is not what sort of

"Full disclosure. Kirk Cameron was my first celebrity crush. You're not alone. No, you're not alone. No, I think we all thought he was dreaming. A now I don't find him dreamy at all. He turned the dreamy corner a while back. But this is an exercise in going from like, Yes, okay. Kirk Cameron. She can't even get the name of hosted a mass gathering of Christmas carolers at a mall in Ventura County. On Sunday evening. This event. Included. I mean, I can't don't even know what their estimate is of how many people were at this event. I can only say It looks like hundreds. Of people. Crowded together. Hundreds okay, crowded together with no masks, singing Christmas carols, and this was all organized. By Kirk Cameron. Um they were there to quote celebrate their God given liberties. Hey, said people had such a great time It lifted our spirits. Oh, it was over 500 people gathered Okay? I'm glad you had that moment. Hmm. I'm glad that your spirits were lifted in that moment because that spirit lifting moment has probably turned empty food people now into spirits. Meaning you irresponsibly gathered in a place where by the way they've reported near 27,000 covert 19 cases since the start of the pandemic. Uh, And you've gone ahead and gathered people together. And no doubt this has now become your favorite special Super spreader event. I can't handle people anymore. So what's interesting to me is and I saw the story. I was like, Oh, this is rough. This is not good. And whatever my personal opinion on Kirk Cameron aside. I kind of like I have a stereotype in a probably a preconceived notion of who he is, and that's probably somewhat unfair. The long story. We don't have time. Um I asked When I see people do things like this. I asked myself well, what do they think they're getting in return? Because I will tell you that there have been lots of large gatherings this year that not everybody feels comfortable being a part of, but some people do and then I and I would do my the same thing in those situations say, Like, what did those people feel like They're getting out of it, and some have been protests. And they feel like they're exercising their like freedom or their right to protest their voice. Right. And so some people I would say well, like, I wouldn't feel comfortable advocating for that, because that's not my thing, but maybe I would feel comfortable doing something else over here. When I see a situation like this, I really do believe I don't think there's anything in particular these people are actually promoting other than Middle finger. Which I okay, I'm sure somebody could make a different argument, but I doubt it. Mostly because it's not like it's not like Kirk Cameron has been fighting the fight to sing Christmas carols in public for years or like that. There's a There's something thoughtful behind this right, like Might be waiting into the wrong territory. But it just when I saw this, I was like, Is this the thing like Christmas carols like if you're if you don't get to do Christmas carols, you're gonna feel Like you didn't you weren't doing something important to you this year. It's right like it's my favorite thing. It's selfish. Yeah, and again. I think a lot of people have been selfish this year myself included. But for what? Right and in this particular case, I don't understand. I need a better explanation of what the for what is well and it is one thing to be selfish on your own behalf. It is quite another to have a group selfish event don't want 500 people also Just Uh huh. And and because I have been in large groups of people this year, and when I have been in those large groups of people I shouldn't over cell that, like, once or twice. I have Been in a large group of people this year. When that happened, it was very thoughtful. There was care involved in terms of distance things individually and wearing a mask and being aware of that and encouraging other people to do that, and then getting tested as a result, and Like, so there's a way to do that responsibility, right? If you really are saying, this is important to me than show it's important to you by doing the things that people recommend as a result, and I think the thing that I'm going to get the most angry about and I we don't have time for me to really fully express myself in this, but just know it's in there is the leaning into what amounts to a pretty crappy theology. Well, I was going to say that's I think the thing that You bring to the table? That is a thoughtful, unique perspective. Yeah, it is. This sort of like there's somebody in the clouds is.

The event was meant to be a protest over the religious liberty concerns during the pandemic. 1000 Oaks Mayor Claudia Build opinions, says she disapproves liberty and freedom are very fragile and they come with great responsibility and by continuing to hold large gatherings and ignoring all guidelines I feel is unchristian. "Welcome back. This is the Ben Shapiro show. Joining us on the line is Kirk Cameron. Of course. You know him from all of his TV and movie work. He is also the host of Think. Pray Vote on TBN premiering October 9th is a two party Vienna broadcast special discussed clone virus racial tension faith in the public square. So tell us about this. This two part special and why I decided to do it. Well, Azam Sure you would agree. The United States is the greatest country in the history of the Earth and I think this is for me the most important election of my lifetime. And I think a lot of people would would agree with that. And I want to help people to think to pray and to vote because I think we need all the divine help from heaven that we can get. And I think one of the things that I see my friends doing is trying to find some sort of filter that allows them to get rid of the propaganda and the false information and just let the truth come through, and some people put up. Ah. A racial filter. And they say, well, what's really going to do most for me and my race? Some people say what's going to do most for my pocketbook. Others say, What's my favorite news commentator to tell me who to vote? And the worst is the social media filter, which people used to say? Which person should I vote for? Or what policy should I vote for? That will make my friends like me the most, and I say, Let's put up a gospel filter. Let's put up a filter of truth and mercy and grace. On as a Christian. I see Jesus came AA and he was all about justice. He was all about mercy, and he was all about humility. And that's what God tells us in the scriptures to do is to do justly to love mercy and walk humbly with God. So I'm doing all I can to talk with some of my smartest and most faithful friends like us chaplain Barry Black like Dr Franklin Graham, Dr Tony Evans, Eric Metaxas and others to help us think through the issues that are on the table that all of us are arguing and and wrestling with and then to pray through those things and ask God to be with us so that we can humbly walk in and vote for our leaders with confidence. One of the things that you'll hear I'm sure from the secular left on topics like this. Is that what you're talking about? Sounds like theocracy. That what you're saying is that you should vote just The Bible tells you to vote, which means that presumably you should vote for every biblical injunction to be enacted in law. That's not really what you're talking about here. So what exactly are you talking about? When we talk about, you know, as people of faith, you know, when we talked about bringing faith into politics? Hell, what's the best way to do that without, you know, trying to impose theocracy from about because obviously, the American system forbids theocracy as well. Should this is this is the a student asking to see student about such things. You talk about this so beautiful and I've learned so much from you, but yeah, this whole idea of theocracy or separation of church and state. I know enough to know that all of us have some way of forming our opinions and ideas based on Ultimate authorities ultimate moral standards, and that's either going to be God and God's word. It might be what the government says that you need to do and what you need to value. Or maybe it's your own opinion or you and your friends. The idea is, we want to bring the highest values that promote the most good and maximum flourishing for all people in our country, and we don't want a government. Telling us what to do. I want God speaking to me in my heart and in my mind giving me wisdom so that I can bring those things to the public square for the benefit of everybody. And that's what I understand. Our founders really set this up for us to do so. Kirk Cameron, the show is Think, Pray vote on TV in till night. So you're gonna go through an enormous number of issues in adjusted to ours, everything from Corona virus to racial tensions as say, faith in the public square. So if folks tune in, what are you hoping that they come away with when when they when they are done with your required special part one has already aired this last Friday. On it was so it was so cool for me to be able to even go back and watch it again and relearn the things that I was talking about while I was with him there on the set, But what I'm hoping people will come away with after this Friday's think Pray vote is that you won't be scared. You won't be scared, thinking. Oh, no, The sky's falling. Ah, you know, if I go outside, I'm going to get the corona virus and die If I vote for the wrong person. The Republic is over. I want people to say no, no, no. God has given us a brain and he's given us lots of really wise people that we can surround ourselves with. Let's think through these things together so that I have a settled opinion. I want to be able to pray knowing that if if if I'm wrong if I'm off that that God can guide my steps and correct some of my thinking, and I can have a piece of in my heart so that I can confidently vote knowing that that what I'm doing Is my part in establishing a great environment for blessing and prosperity and security for my kids, and for my grandkids. I want people to have that kind of peace and confidence as they vote card. Cameron the specials. "But there should be an atmosphere of humility. And if somebody does fall short repentance, I think. That's one of the biggest things a leader. That may make a mistake doesn't necessarily mean the reforms profit, and we should just, you know, kick them out of the church right away. If they realized their mistake in their held accountable, and they repent of their sin, or they're you know, the wrongdoing that's different than just saying. Okay. There's that dog video dressed like employee's of hot dog on a stick. It's fun. They sell cheese on a stick as well. Bred like corn dogs. They not have how stick it. And they have corn dogs. I have never seen the chain in the northeast. Okay. West. I've never heard of corn dogs and candy apples to things that come on a stick. There's a whole thing. They'll do it a lot of different ways. So you can get like a catch up or a mustard. And then they have these other things stick crystals. They will put on there. I don't know what they're made of crystal crystal. They're probably like, I don't live on the east coast. So I don't really know much. We have different kind of crystal out here. For that. And then there's no bun that is perverted. What that hot dogs? Corn corn dock has Brit. Okay. Stick. But you know. Just a corn dog. They just needed a brand name. For corn corn a hot dog on a steak. That's hot dog meat is not particularly good. You need the Brett. Oh, I love a hot dog. But the meat is bad. Plenty of hot dogs, just with a fork and knife. Yeah. Yeah. Sometimes I'm like, I or sometimes. Oh. Wrap it and I'm I'm more probably with the hot dog meat. But you don't have a problem with white bread the bread to absorb the grease. But sometimes I am so full the, but I still love the taste of a hot dog. And the breads Deprez is gonna get in the way at that point. I just need to put more hot to go out to Coney Island for the contest then. Yeah. Yeah. The breadth though, they do the hot dog. Breath problem with like, I mean this whole anywhere. He's right. The when you get white forget he's ranked hamburger on a hot. Yes. Exactly. One of the many things. He's right about from the book of Murphy. Yeah. That in the honeymooners like you put the the the bread gets wet, and greasy and white bread doesn't stand a bun thing. That's why it's a thirty second hotdog microwave. You slap piece of white bread. 'cause you're desperate hotdog microwave. I have regular microwave which is a hot dog, Mike. Okay. All right in like a minute. So it's like how soggy can it get we had a hotdog someone a hotdog toast? For the first two minutes. Just exactly yes. Thank you. Nailed it. You don't. Is that what happened to it?.

"The fact that you sent me a picture of a page where he was talking about the people that he has through ancestry dot com. And other investigative means he has tracked that we are connected to relational and you sent a page of a picture that we are related to both will Ferrell and Kirk Cameron? Yes. It's a picture of Kirk Cameron, but it says like, we can assume we're related to Kirk Cameron. Same thing. I think that's that's standard journalistic practice though. The welfare was even better because the will Ferrell one is like there was a party one time at a faira family party where someone we're related to there. And they said that a few years ago will fail was that. Journalism, this is basic. The only book I am very confident. This is the only book that has large pictures of Kirk Cameron will fell on the same. Also want to be really honoring to your dad because he did a ton of work. And it's really, I mean, it's a really sweet store, your grandmother. This is where it feels weird to me that I know on this, your grandmother who is still alive. It's a nursing home seems really lovely. Feel like you need to go visit are more grimy literally, I really grandma, Amy. I texted with my parents last night and my mom replied, and my dad didn't. And then this morning, what to dad like, oh, sorry, I miss this. I was visiting grandma and giving her a pedicure. That's. That's..
