All About the Iowa State Fair
"The data the iowa state fair always in august and it is always eleven days. So can you tell me. Is there a reason at eleven days. Is there a reason for the dates. That are chosen. I'm sure there was a whole whole lot of i. Don't figuring in mathematics and working with with the numbers that went into choosing just the perfect time yet so when the fair started it actually was held in october october. Twenty fifth eighteen fifty four And if you've ever been in iowa in october It could be miserable. We could have snow could have is. It can be bitterly cold. It could also be a beautiful day And so the fair sort of hopped around for a bit in the octobber. September range Mostly because it was hooked to agriculture. So it was a time when maybe the crops were ready to compete or farmer wasn't in the field in come to the fair so that's sort of how the date was developed in. It slowly moved back to august In we've had a few days like a week and then we've gone up to eleven days in eleven days Spot and we know that from staff here. You know that first week gun really busy. We're kind of working the kinks out. And then we get through that next part of the week. And we've by j in we strategically place it. So people have enough time to enjoy everything but that they don't get bored with you know maybe having at last over time there are other figures like for example. Texas does a whole month And they take like a couple of days off here and there which we try different things over the years than this sorta seems to be the window. That's fast right before school. The kids as projects are ready if they're exhibiting are showing and it's sort of the end to the summer So to speak in you know we've had a hundred plus what degree weather here in august in. We've had snow during the no. That's how i will roles.

Pipeline Outage Forces Airlines to Add Stops to Some Long-Haul Flights
"But today is day five of that largest fuel pipeline in the country being shut down because of cyber attackers who reportedly seized control of the computer. Networks of the company that operates that pipeline. The attackers then demanded that the company pay a ransom of some kind to get their stuff. Back we know how much ransom was demanded. We don't know if the ransom might even have been paid by the company. The fbi is investigating this as a crime. The fbi says they've identified a russian and eastern european based hacking group as responsible for the attack but even with that though this pipeline is still down five days into it and this is the biggest fuel pipeline in the country. And you can't shut down something like that for five days without feeling it. And we are now feeling the first effects on the ground of this sort of frighteningly successful attack gas stations running out of gas mostly in the southeast but increasingly up the eastern seaboard. Some of that may very. Well just be hoarding. As people are worried about supply shortages and so there effectively causing them by filling up every tank. They've got but hoarding can't explain. Why airlines now are having to reroute planes and add new stops for long-haul flights because they can't get the fuel. They need to fly their regular schedules. There is a real kink in the supply line. here
Why Is Bubba Wallace so Confident?
"Bubba. Wallace is on. And he. Rates the season. So far driving for denny hamlin and michael jordan in that twenty three car. I had high expectations going in the martinsville because the success there and how well i've run there in the past and how well twitter has run there. We just kinda miss sometimes going into these next fourteen races in a row that we have Let's see what happens. I know we're going to run top. Twenty hopefully fifteen and start breaking down the top fifteen barrier and and consistently get there. Then start so people are way there. It's only a matter of time. We're we're hitting all fall ciller. Cylinders aren't firing at the same time. But we're getting all they're all kind of sporadic so it's like once we get that doubt and there's a lot of potential of his team act. Continue to say that like that's that's one of the most exciting things as can be this weekend. Yeah finishes could be a couple of spots or overcooked it all together. We're figured out what we need to secure those fox earlier in the race and go five something much greater than what we have been so You know we're only increases in and no one's right. The ship yet for our team in they still have our kinks ironed out and little things that are holding us back you bunch of little things. Add up to one big thing. So we'll be just

Democrats left scrambling on a $15 minimum wage now that it appears left out of COVID-19 stimulus bill
"But republicans have been arguing that the democrats plan to push the relief package through the senate without republican. Support is little more than a way to force a liberal wishlist on extraneous policy aims and with almost two trillion dollars in the air. It's tough to argue that. This isn't a scattershot approach to big problems that aren't going to be cheap to fix. While the nonpartisan congressional budget office estimates that nine hundred thousand americans would be lifted out of poverty and fourteen million workers would see their paychecks increase. If the minimum wage is increased at also approximates the house plan would cost the us economy. One point four million jobs at present the gop seems unable to derail the broader plan but democrats could inadvertently do it for them if they aren't careful i. It's possible that more conservative. Senate democrats could balk at the package including senator joe manchin. Who has said. He is worried about spending more taxpayer dollars without a specific target. Others like senator. Kirsten cinema have said they are uncomfortable about triggering. A rules change as pushed by. Oh cossio cortes. And neither she nor mentioned are championing a fifteen dollars per hour wage so even at a fifty vote threshold. Democrats may still lack support if they nuked the filibuster to try to push the package through with a minimum wage hike. Then there's the risk from the left if the likes of ocasio cortez and kana dig in. They could end up. Hobbling the relief package if not spiking it. When lawmakers in the past have deployed this bare majority trick. The house would pass the first draft of this legislation and send it to the senate the senate then should work with the house tinker with its linkage and send it back to the house and then the house in an ideal world should accept the changes negotiated by its leadership but as the parliamentarian ruled. You can use this process. Only on specific fiscal moves and a minimum wage isn't one of them. The process was designed to iron out kinks and nettlesome budgets. Not necessarily major social programs democrats. No they have public opinion on their side for the add on wage boost and the underlying two trillion dollar bill. It's going to be very tempting for progressives not to at least flirt with trying to get the two married again it's sexy for the lefties and doesn't alienate most moderates plus. It might actually do good for the poorest workers in the economy. Those disproportionately hit by the pandemic's fallout the margins. Though are razor. Thin democrats can afford just four defections in the house and to already voted against this bill in its first at bat if progressives are thwarted instead of taking a win on passing a relief bill without the minimum wage increase they may be tempted to eliminate the filibuster for good to try to pass both together. If the rules requiring sixty votes for almost everything keep anything from happening. Why not blow them up entirely. Well it's possible but views on that are about split as the senate itself which means democrats could go from chasing popular ideas like boosting the minimum wage and getting cash to americans to a partisan process brawl. That has at best coin. Toss backing so. This comes down to a central question inherent to so much in washington will the ideal be the downfall of the possible. Or will someone have a mean. Girls moment and have the outburst. So many think
European Scientists Create First Light-Up Tattoos For You and Your Avocado
"A team of scientists in europe have created what they say is the first light emitting tattoo using oh led based technology which is like the kind used in newer televisions and smartphones especially the folding kind. And well of course. This sounds totally awesome. If a bit frightening the team mostly propose practical uses like alerting an athlete when they're dehydrated or indicating when someone should get out of the sun to avoid getting a sunburn and tattoos for medical use are not unprecedented. I know a couple of people who have replaced their medical bracelets for conditions like diabetes with permanent tattoos on their wrists and radiation therapy often tattoos. Small black on cancer patients skin to use as reference marks for the machines and a handful of in the us tattooed kids with their blood types. During the cold war thinking it could facilitate blood transfusions in the case of a nuclear attack. And that's a real thing that happened. I'll put a link in the show notes if you want to read more about it and sort of grim as that sounds to our modern ears. There are still proposals around to people including children with their medical information. A team from rice university. A couple years ago developed fluorescent quantum dot tattoos that would only be visible through a custom smartphone app. At which time they would show a person's vaccination history something particularly crucial in hard hit rural areas. Where people sometimes don't have paper or digital vaccination records then no one's actually a pretty good idea even if it sounds a little big brother that the offset and unfortunately because of that. It's gotten pulled into a lot of covid nineteen vaccine conspiracy theories even though it's a tattoo not in any way an implant a microchip and not in any way related to the covid nineteen vaccines. It's being cited by conspiracy theorists as evidence that the covid nineteen vaccines are implanting tracking microchips into people. It doesn't help that. The original study was proposed by the bill and melinda gates foundation a lot of conspiracy theorists love to say that bill gates engineered the corona virus. Or something. I only bring all of that up in case you hear about it in relation to this vaccine history. Quantum dot tattoo study. So now you can. Debunk anyone spouting that false claim but anyways back to the light up. Oled tattoos in addition to some practical wellness related uses. The team also expects that they could be used for fashion purposes. Like having a light up tattoo or even fingernails and they could even go beyond humans to be used on produce. The tattoos could go on packaging or on the fruit or vegetable itself to identify when it's gone bad now. If you're imagining how impractical it would be to take a tattoo gun to a tomato. I should clarify that. These tattoos are applied more like a temporary tattoo is quoting university. College london the oled's are fabricated onto temporary tattoo paper and transferred to a new surface by being pressed onto it and dab with water and quotes now as gizmodo notes. Quote the idea of personally augmenting. One skin with glowing. Art isn't new either. But previously this has involved bio hackers implanting technologies like led's beneath the skin and the results don't have much practical use besides attention grabbing or inviting questions about why someone would do that to themselves. This new approach to light emitting. Tattoos is easier to apply more practical and temporary without requiring surgery to have it removed and quotes. So how does this one work well. The flexibility of the oled display is key so that it can move and bend along with the human or fruit skin beyond that quoting again from gizmodo. The electronics of the light emitting tattoos made from an extremely thin layer of electro luminescent polymer that glows when a charges applied measure in at just two point three micrometres thick which according to the researchers is about one third the diameter. A red blood cell. The polymer layer is then sandwiched between a pair of electrodes and sits atop insulating layer which is bonded to temporary tattoo paper printing process. That isn't prohibitively expensive. The tattoos can be easily washed off when no longer needed or wanted using soap and water with a current applied the led tattoos in their current form simply glue green but eventually could produce any color using the same rgb approach that oled screens. Us and quote won't professor franken says saline lead author on the study notes that they've demonstrated a proof of concept that d- tattoos can be made cheaply and at scale. There's still a number of kinks to work out. Like normal temporary tattoos these ones degrade pretty quickly especially when more on a moving human and they still need figure out how to integrate them with a battery or super capacitor in the lab. They're currently hooked up to an external power source so oily tattoos might not become into the public too quickly but the technology is there and it will probably happen before
Are You Actually Kinky?
"Lately there have been some truly salacious stories on the news about powerful celebrity men who've crossed some lines with women they were dating and these have been sort of aftershocks of the metoo movement. Where these new accusations. I'm thinking of armie hammer. And the allegations of abuse and resume or marilyn manson's rape room brought back this important conversation on the ways that power and fame can be abused but the fascinating thing this time as the way. These celebrities have responded to these accusations because the reply is essentially. Oh no you don't understand. That was consensual. We are kinky kink is one of those things that's hard for people to understand myself included. Because i think for a long time i was like whatever you have your shit you do behind closed doors and that's your business. I don't really feel the need to interrogate too deeply beyond a basic sort of understanding. That shouldn't shame anyone else's kings you know and so when the internet seized on the gripping details of army hammers supposed cannibal fetish as like. Should we even be lampooning. This is this a legitimate kink. Would there be a right way to do this. But then i realize everyone was talking about. What a wild fixation this cannibalism thing supposed to be and there was much less focused on what army hammers accusers. Were actually saying about their relationship. Which was fetish or not. Their relationship started one way and then it took this turn we at the cut. Believe these women who are making these accusations and we believe that the men they were involved with are hiding behind the mantle of kink because kink isn't an excuse for abuse but in order for us to understand where the lines actually get crossed as a culture. We're going to have to engage with the ideas of kink much more fully in all of its richness and deep deep complexity. We understand that like you can be like vicariously like excited by violence even though real violence is disgusting. And you don't want to actually hurt people but it gets like framed in this way where it makes it sound like if somebody is kinky there beyond criticism and that's not what it means. This is lux traum. And i am a longtime sex educator and an abuse survivor someone who thinks a lot about abuse kink i think people think oh la king is choking people and kids like leaving bruises on people and can be but that's not really what it is so what is case. Everyone i talked to had a different way of explaining it. What keep means differs for different people will kick is a very specific subset of the arabic and it can mean a lot of things. If one feels that one is kinky then one is kinky for lux alp. Traum kink is very much about consent in a kink. Situation it might. It might look like the dam has all the power control but the real control lies with the submissive person. Because it's not the purest iteration of like safe consensual kink. Unless you can say no or say you're safe word or say whatever and make it all stop immediately. This is a very clear dividing line right for armie hammer. The women said stop and he kept going for marilyn manson. It was an entire lifestyle. Where if you said. Stop your punished more. But just like an all consensual sex kinky or not. There's a lot of nuance and negotiation. That needs to happen between the people involved. And it's all within this context of wanting to be giving there's so much pressure on you to be compliant too. Please your partner to do all these things. That has nothing to do with king but when you are in a kink environment that can like be taken to the nth degree because so much of kink about exploration about going into a known taboo terrain you have to be on the same page. There's these moments where i'm like. Oh or like. I would be surprised with the thing that i had never expressed interest in. I maybe didn't wanna do it. Don't think there is this bright dividing line between abuse and kink. All this stuff is just like there's no like three step guide for like dealing or there is but it's like talk to people have conversations like be willing it's the easiest thing in the hardest thing to hurt the ones you love to act out scenarios aren't normally like you to play with power. It's playing with fire. Really and yet culturally kink doesn't talked about with gravity until something goes horribly wrong gets whispered about as the super freaky unspeakable thing or it has a reputation of being a gonna dorky form of adult dungeons and dragons. You know like something. Couples try to spice up their marriage after reading fifty shades of grey. I think it's almost jumped straight from being arm. Something that's forbidden to being a cliche and being a joke and we skipped the part where we look at. It has to be taken just as seriously as anything else would do as humans. And i think that was part of what we were hoping to do with this analogy
How Galaxy Digital bridges the gap between the crypto and the institutional worlds
"A very simple thing to ask you. Which is what is galaxy actually do. Because every time i see described. It's usually a really vague. Term like galaxy is an investment firm in crypto or galaxy. Works in the crypto industry. Never see a release specific description of it i. We're going to try to be much crystal player so we have four or five businesses. Did anyone to break it out. We have one business. Which is were you know or adventure shop direct investing and so we've invested in eighty companies. That are building out the crypto ecosystem from new protocols like one inch or luna token to exchanges to custody services so anything that has touched the crypto ecosystem or quite frankly the virtual world ecosystem we're investing in so we have a giant portfolio of of investments. We have inventory of bitcoin. Theory of another coins that i personally trade And so by at one is going down and settlers going up and so that's our principal activities. Then we have what you'd call a traditional sales let sales trading credits. We lend money to people that are participating in the space that's miners. That's that are just normal. Customers lending on margin we have a derivative business. Right were the second or third biggest a market maker in options and so you want to do structure product or sell calls against your position or by plus where there for institutions we have an asset management business where we take other people's money in raise it we have a bitcoin fund We have the bloomberg. Bitcoin crypto index We have a venture fund that focus on the virtual worlds stuff and we have an investment bank a group of people that have great domain expertise in the space and we'll give advice on mergers and acquisitions on on capela raziq and so and then we have a mining division right. We are minding our own crypto. And that's mining finance its mining derivatives in its us mining ourselves and so pretty broad and diversified it's been focused on institutions not retail. And so that was a painful position to be in until about april last year. With covid happened right. i said l. the 'institutions are coming in men. they were slow and then covert happened. And they went from walking at one mile an hour to trotting to sprinting. And now it's like ninety nine mph. You know just mad dash and so you've seen hedge funds insurance companies asset managers all entering the space since april and. That's why when we went through twenty. We went right to forty in bitcoin. Those institutions are mostly buying bitcoin. But the moment you make a little money in bitcoin yelich. What else is in this space. And you look into the theory amoeba system. And you're like wow that's pretty cool too. And so then. They're putting some money in theory and then the final spaces will wear the real disruptions to happen is in defy defy really simply put his taking a blockchain breeds in the financial system. Right it is creating driverless. Banks or driverless. Insurance companies are driverless derivative markets. And that while it still. I think in the sandbox right. It's still working out the kinks in beings. Lloyd it's growing so fast that you could see the guppies jump out of the sandbox and become frog's really

Let me know how this is something that you practice in something that you recommended and saw really excited to bring you on the summit's region guy deep into menopause obviously about fasting and how can impacted. Let's start with your story though. And i and how you really got into natural health So probably don't even know this. I was born in australia. I grew up in the outback. And i spent a lot of my time with the aborigines. Knee aboriginal caves very early age. I was surrounded by natural and natural medicine and then came to america. One eleven on after having been exposed to know cars. We didn't have toilet. I i should tell that really different kinks america and my parents are both holocaust survivors. They were from europe so we never did a lot of the conventional ways of eating to begin with and from a. You're young time. I knew that i was very interested in going into alternative medicine. I went to a program with harvard. Medical school nurse practitioner. Actually and boston college. Because i knew then i needed have a standard had to do research. Look at double blind placebo. Controlled studies also understand. Where does the notion of nutrient come into play and we started women. Two women in nineteen eighty-five before anybody was doing any alternative medicine. We were the first all women practice in the state of maine. No one had done functional medicine or anything like it in the state of maine and we were equal partners. Md nurse practitioners. so we. I've been on this trail for a long time understanding that if we educate women in particular about their biochemistry in their health and start to understand. What's upstream we will be healthy no matter what age in our medical system now says many times. Here's the drug will get you better well. It doesn't get you better. It takes his symptoms away and oftentimes makes worst symptoms on the other side. So i'm passionate about this. I love what i do. And my goal is to change as many women's lives as i can with information data and also the supportive things like internet investing. Yeah you're definitely making a huge impact your books your website. Everything at you're doing so let's talk about menopause. What is menopause happening with. Female hormones during that stage. What kind of symptoms do many women experiences. They go through a loss you know. It's interesting many years ago. If you'd come to me as a patient the symptoms would have been flashes. Night sweats getting some way. What i see now more than ever before his anxiety. Applications abnormal weight gain an absolute frustration with their body. Many times. they'll come in say. My body's deceiving me. What the hell happened. I feel like a train wreck under depressed can't sleep Hot flashes. I don't have a sex drive anymore. gamal dried up. What the hell
Should I plan an in-person event in 2021?
"Freddie wants around her own in-person conference for her blog. baking blog in twenty twenty one. Do i think she should do that. It's a big question. And i'm gonna give you two scenarios one. I definitely think you should not do a conference in twenty twenty one and the second scenario i would say with these caveats. It may not be a bad idea. So when or what scenario do i think. It's a bad idea to run a conference in person conference in two thousand twenty one here. We go. well i. I want to say that we are not out of the woods. Okay even the vaccine is on. Its way it's going to take a wild. For most of the countries around the world's population to be vaccinated we fully vaccinated. And even with the vaccination they say you know masks social distancing is still going to be in which makes it very hard for in person conferences so if your conference is more than fifty people i would say i wouldn't do it because is going to be hard to find a venue where you can social distance one half meters away from each other with people that are you know one hundred people in a conference two hundred. That's a very tough. If you're attracting people outside your local area if this is just maybe a local meet up or maybe just within your stay or your city I would say okay. Maybe you know that way you can kind of control the numbers and you don't have to worry about travel but if you're attracting people from across your country as well as a from overseas and other countries flying and getting on a plane and you know traveling internationally is still going to be very difficult in two thousand twenty one which will hinder the success of your conference. There are a lot of variables that will be out of your control for your conference. It'd be successful. Conferences are about socializing and getting to know people and high fives. You know that's just not going to jive with covid. Nineteen even as we roll into twenty twenty one. I think this is going to be a very interesting year. Because we're going to have to transition into maybe what is going to become our normal the first three months. We're not going to two different from twenty twenty. It's gonna take some time as we ramp up and have everybody vaccinated now if you have a small conference a small meet up less than fifty people. It's in a local area. You can social distance and you're planning to do it at the end of two thousand eight hundred q four then i would say okay. Even if that's the case i would definitely make sure your venue will refund you. If you're unable to do because of code restrictions have an easy system to refund tickets to your you know conference attendees if whatever equipment are swag that you you can use in you know the next year or the next time you can do the conference i would take all these precautions the issue with a conference that you need a lot of lead time to sell the tickets especially if you are trying to sell over one hundred tickets so you need to announce a venue a date well in advance three months in advance at least and with covert. It's hard to plan. This is why my gut reaction was like. Hey if you can avoid running conference in two thousand twenty one if you can do it virtually if he could do a summit if you can do something in twenty twenty two i would feel a lot. More confident That you'd have a lot more in your control to succeed now. I've seen a lot of in person. Conferences pivot to doing virtual some. Its virtual conferences Online and they actually did a pretty decent job. A lot of people have enjoyed online conferences because there are less expensive. They're easy to run. They're easier to attend a lot easier for you to get people to attend because there's no barrier of travel you know even if there was no covid so you're going to get more attendees Leads more sales all that kind of stuff. You can make an interactive. You can make fun. You can really do your best and by the way as your first time conference. Doing a virtual conference online might be a good way for you to just work out the kinks. It's a good. Mvp of in person conference. I said if you can keep it local small you can social distance. You can do it later in the year. That makes things a little bit more feasible or better yet. Run a conference run it online. It's a great way for you to do a minimum viable version of your first time conference
Porn and the Pandemic: A study in adaptability
"You might have seen the joke. And it is still mostly a joke going around the Internet. Another one of millions of jobs around world is lost to this pandemic and person who lost it whether they work in hospitality or media government or whatever takes to social media and with a rueful tone says ow well. I guess it's time to start my only fans account and people laugh. But only a little because another job has been lost and this year sucks. If. There are winners and twenty twenty though. Only fans is a big one. Like so much on the Internet it was a website created to allow people to connect with one another. and its technology offered a chance for creators. To monetize their fans by letting them subscribed to their feeds for a monthly fee exclusive content. And like so much on the Internet that technology was immediately used to make pornography. And really, all this couldn't have come at a better time not only was everyone stock at home all the mainstream pornography studios were shuttered for health reasons and all the performers needed work. So they went to work for themselves on only fans. So what has all this done to a porn industry that is constantly changing? His this next iteration, fleeting or permanent where is the line now between the mainstream pornography industry and the amateur people making money online. And is there a technology out there anywhere on the Internet that can't be used for porn? Okay, that last question was rhetorical. I'm Jordan Heath Rawlings. This is the big story. Lena macete is the producer of the last days of August and the butterfly effect. She's also a producer at this American life. She may be the podcast producer who knows the most about Porn Hello Lena. Hi. How are you? I'm doing really well, and maybe for people who haven't listened to the butterfly effects can you try to describe a how profoundly the porn industry has changed even over say the last five or seven years in how quickly it changes in general? Yeah. I mean it's changed dramatically since we made the butterfly effect which I believe we started reporting on Wiezman, Jon Ronson I was working with the a journalist Jon Ronson on both of those two series that you mentioned and I, believe we started reporting on it in two thousand sixteen and the question we were looking at in the butterfly effect was how has This relatively new access to unlimited porn for free that anyone can access on the Internet. How has that impacted the lives of the actual people making it? and. So basically, there's this company in Montreal. It's called his right now called minded Geek believe at the time it was called mind freak and originally I think it was called man win they run a website called porn hub they actually they own a bunch of streaming websites but they but porn hub for our purposes is like the one we're paying close attention to because it's the most visited porn site it regularly ranks as like one of the top ten most visited websites in America you know beside Google and twitter. And so the the reality of porn in two thousand sixteen is that a lot of it was still being made professionally. So in the US, it's made in Los Angeles in San Francisco in. Las Vegas and in Florida which means people are using budgets to pay actors and directors and sound people to make porn But then that porn is being uploaded illegally, it's being pirated to porn hub. Like Youtube just for porn, which means that the consumer isn't paying for it and the the question we were trying to get the answer to was like. How has it impacted porn people's livelihoods, and basically, what are they doing to make up for lost cash and what did the industry due to adapt to Mine Guiquan and the porn hub model? I mean the answer to that like you're you're right to point out that it's always changing like it's it's always changing to the point that before I got on the phone with you today I called one of the performers that we speak to in butterfly effect just to like catch up on what has happened in the last couple of weeks like it. It really does change all the time at the time the the answer hovered around custom porn, which is still what I would call it cust important. So that's porn that. A consumer can order directly from a performer that they like and often it. It breaks down to poor like basically for someone to reach out to a porn performer and ask them to make video in exchange for like one five, ten, thousand dollars It's because they have a specific kink or there's something they're interested in an otherwise can't find on the Internet and there's billions of hours of porn on the Internet. So when you're when you're to the point where you're looking for custom videos. More often than not is. So specific that like it might only apply like you might be the only person in the world who has the specific proclivity. So a lot of our series focused on custom porn on how like people who are made famous as mainstream porn stars are supplementing their income by making these custom videos
"kinks" Discussed on Loving BDSM
"I say however you figure that out for yourself and you're like, yes, this is how I see. This is cool and yet I. Have a little bit of Judge Judger Sohn in me when I see. Mainstream ish sites wanting to talk about King Zombie DSM and they refer to all of it as fetishes I get very annoyed I'm like that's not a fetish. Clearly I, How some strong opinions? And I part of it is I I do think I know when I think of it. That way I think it goes back to a bit of a bias about the fact that fetishes are so often stigmatized more thing kings. So it's like when I see something that I consider a kink called the fetish in a place where I know a lot of people who don't understand what either of those things mean can then sit in judgment of it I'm like. Don't call it that don't lump it in with that and that's not right either I think that that's a little bit of work I. GotTa do myself there. Thank you very much because. Does it even matter if you call my submission of fetish because that's what you call is still Mike Inc and I'm I'm still going to call it that and it doesn't. It doesn't matter. It really doesn't matter. Here's here's a question for you. Here's a question for you. You you love. When you allowed. Excuse me when you're allowed to wear panties. Take a picture. And posted on instagram. When we are at the club. You are quite the exhibitionist. Is that a fetish for you? No no no. I am not I. There is some level of sexual arousal. That definitely occurs. I do not. I certainly don't need exhibitionism on any level in that moment or not to be sexually aroused I. think part of that is because there are so many other things there that are sexually arousing. Because I am sexually aroused by impact play, I am sexually aroused by public play I am. Sexually aroused by exhibitionism to the level that I'm to within my boundaries like I'm not. Everybody has their level of how they do things in my level of exhibitionism. Is Not on some of the Grand Scales I've seen in other places.

"What they like or don't like in a fetish and I, and I wonder if it's that inherent sexual context and and it probably is and again I, think that you know. There is a very well used terminology. In the media world. You know your kings not. kinks. Okay. And I think that needs to be applied to other things as well. You know you're fetish fetish, but you're fetishes. Okay. You know not everything is someone's Cup of tea right. Right. Exactly. there. was another thing I was going to say about kinks versus. Fateh. which I think comes back around to the does it even matter does the does the we describe it matter I think that's kind of where we were when I got a little deep. Sorry I'll I tend to call all of it kinks. It's all kings. I don't I genuinely don't differentiate between them and yeah, I'm looking kind of glancing in the livestream chat. And a couple of points in a made by people that are very interesting and I can kind of understand that if. Fetish is is if if we accept that the part of the definition of fetishes, their sexual arousal, it causes or as needed for sexual arousal or orgasm or desire whatever. You know a couple people who commented that there certain things now that have been, it's almost like they've trained themselves. A response where when this thing happens they or they can't orgasm without this thing happening anymore does that make it a fetish? And I think. In the broadest sense maybe. But. I wonder if it's about, it's really the arousal response not necessarily the orgasm, but it's the when you were near it, you see it you interact with it. You are aroused by weather you get off or not I mean some people I know they're fetish extends to they need that interaction with that fetish of whatever it is in order to get off. But. Is that a requirement that is something about, and here's what I would say if you decide to look at your. Certain activities that you're doing or certain certain objects within activities somebody mentioned belt I think somebody else mentioned something else with bondage if the site of that rope, let's say the sound of that belt. smacking. Turns you on and then through the way my mind. Defines Fetish would then mean that that belt needs to somehow be part of the action order for there to be. To maximize sexual pleasure. I. How is that too narrow definition of fetish probably I think most definitions we give things are probably too narrow, but that's Because of my limited understanding of what a fetishes that's where my mind. Goes with. That that object, let's say in this case, the belt. is now a necessary part of the sexual experience, the kink experience, an an part of the sexual arousal response and..

"You're listening to the loving media podcast episode two, thirty, nine Kayla Lords here with the one, the only the highly caffeinated Jim Brown. I'm only here for the coffee don't. Don't misconstrue I. Believe it. I believe in you only married me for my coffee delivery and making ability. Absolutely. You're the perfect coffee submissive. So damn straight. We're going all in on Kink Tober again with yet another discussion on kinks. This one let's talk about the differences between Kink and fetish, and is there a difference and what does that difference in? How do we decide that different? Does that difference even matter? Things that make you go. Question is.
Remembering Eddie Van Halen with Steve Gorman
"Joining me now is Steve. Gorman who was the drummer in the Black Crowes who now plays with trigger hippy and before we talk about some of the Black Crowes stuff in your book I. I saw tweets even it was talking about Eddie Van Halen, which is Kinda. Why you here you say there will be many many words written and spoken about Eddie. Van. Halen, over the next few days, weeks, months and years those millions of words will never come close to expressing what he meant a rock music what he meant to guitarist and what he meant to the guitar itself that's pretty powerful statement Mr Gorman what did Eddie and remind me to rock music I. Think it's it's pretty simple. You can say that he and Jimi Hendrix of the two guys. That truly, and and only the two guys that moved the needle for the guitar itself I mean Hendrix. came out of a blue based. seem. And took the playing and the tone he could get to a new place but even hail and. Really almost came in from another country. Another planet I should say another he's like an alien life form I mean, he was a virtuosic player obviously but he He reinvented what what you could do is to guitar and the fact of the matter is this. Like Hendrix. But even to a greater degree, anybody tries to play like Eddie. Van Halen. Just sounds like a mind a mimic they. It's like rich little doing Johnny Carson okay. Yeah. That kind of sounds like him but. There's nothing nobody's ever been able to do any van. Halen. Did it make it feel a certain way? That each just the and he was that way at twenty two I mean, this is this is not a guy like it's not like David Blaine magic tricks where he gets bigger and better every year he started with card tricks that other people did I even Halen hit the ground running with Van Halen one playing an instrument that have been around for centuries unlike anybody else had ever done I mean he was on the Mount. Rushmore. Of Great Depar- players. At twenty two years old and then, and then he stuck around for another forty years still playing unlike anybody before sin. So I just think that in terms of. You know. Sheer unique. Mindset ambition combined with just. Great talent obviously. But but also phenomenal work ethic I mean he's just a complete unicorn in every sense of the word. How would you describe his guitar sound and I say that I know what I think of it but I wasn't I just messed van Halen like I came around right as you guys were blowing up honestly so that for me the van Halen was slightly classic rock slightly old rock to me as A. Kid. So as someone 'cause, you're just years older than I am but how would you describe his guitar sound someone who was in in it and living it in love and Van Halen? Well I can tell you that that was thirteen years old the first time I heard Van Halen and I remember it. I remember where I was I remember who I was with. It was going home from school in Hopkinsville Kentucky. You really got me there kinks the you know the their cover, the kinks song came on the radio. And and it was playing already and I said, Hey, mom turn that up. It was me and my mom and my friend Brooke. Lofton. The three of us in a car and she turned it up and I my first thought was. That must be like a live version of the king song and I was thinking like we don't they don't rock or do they. But when it hit that Solo and then by the time, the song ended I realized well, that does that's not ray Davey seeing this is clearly a cover version but what on earth is this and it was like making my? Hair on the back of my neck stand up. This is a time when I thought punk rock was the coolest thing in the world. and. The truth is Van Halen was more punk than the punks because they were truly breaking down a bunch of barriers if you will or they were going in their own. You know there hasn't been a band like Van Halen since led Zeppelin in terms of. Rock band hits the ground running at full steam and it obliterates everything in their path in a certain sense and. Jimmy van Halen sound it sounded like California was in my head. You know soon as I realized soon as I heard about them, they're from La, and as soon as I saw David Lee Roth and then as soon as I heard more than you know the next thing I heard was eruption Guitar Solo and you know hearing just two pieces of their first album and seeing what they look like it just. It felt brand new and it already felt like they're going to be around forever. You just knew from the jump and this is me as a thirteen year old kid who is obsessed with music. This band is one of the Alzheimer's like there's nothing like this and they all have the chops and the other thing too as long as I'm just rambling incessantly any van Halen was a great rhythm player. It wasn't just about the Solos he led the band rhythmically and he's also it needs to be noted not that it's not obvious. He's a hell of a songwriter I mean he really was. As I said before he's a true Unicorn I mean, just just nothing like it. What does this sound like do you? It sounds frequent and right in right in the zone near your your key. That's one thing because listen I played a little bit I don't play even as good as my friends who are real life musicians, but it's perfect frequency and frequency is in the tone or the, but as because it's a lot. I mean Brad Paisley plays unnoticed Brad. Paisley. Because I hear the chicken Pickin I hear a very distinct sound and again I didn't catch van Halen as it was happening in my childhood. But when I hear Van Halen Song even if I, it's I, don't know who it is. Just hear the guitar part I hear the Eddie van Halen because I how fast he shreds but the pattern that he does it, you can just tell. By By his fingers and it just kind of again it's hard to explain when you ask about music but that's what I think about and I try to. Always try to. Prepare analogies and most of the people who listen to this podcast here between twenty to forty, and if you were to make an analogy to another band, it's GonNa be tough because Van Halen was massive. But who later on had the kind of? Impact or. Reflected the mass listening that Van Halen had well. What band what yeah. What band can we look at now or in the last ten years and see? Okay. Well, that's how big Van Halen was to the people that were the kids in the eighties.
First Impressions on COD Cold War's Multiplayer Alpha
"Speaking of the future we did get a little taste of the Cold War multiplayer this weekend as they dropped with, they're calling an Alpha I always think it's cute when these AAA developers drop an open Alpha like this is an Alpha for those who don't know is supposed to be like the rawest form of your game before you really get the kinks worked out an Alpha is not hey, everyone can download this and play it. And you're good at Oh. By the way, our game is also coming out in like three weeks like that is not how call Beta one, Beta, two or something like that. Alpha's a bit generous to say like Yeah we've never tested this out until right now. Yeah. Alpha will figure this all out. But give him a minimum project the same time on that though because doing that's going to allow them to see a lot of tendencies catch a lot of bugs. Yeah. There's already a ton that we will dive into but yeah, like I think. WHATEVER THEY WANNA call it. This was a good move on trailer park this very different than how we saw infinity ward handled their game already right. We already hear about a lot of coming changes issues that we may have right now may even be gone by the time we actually play the next open Beta here in just a few weeks now disclaimer on all this. This was only on playstation. So as only on the PS four as far as I know, it might have been on Xbox to you, but it was only on console just place it just playstation. So a nugent did play it the last time I pull the only thing I play my playstation at the moment is for NHL. That is it like I have a couple of single player games. That I might hop on here and they're like Spiderman last of us but for the most part, just NHL I have not played a first person shooter with a controller since call of duty World War Two which I think was the last one not. So. That that will. disclaimer here, this is just coming from a normal perspective K.. Yet I could talk about how you know I sucked. But to be honest I didn't even talk that bad because the auto so ridiculous that it. Makes me look a little decent little decent. disclaimer there now, right off the bat though I will say this and you mentioned it as soon as we started playing when this Moose over to PC and the pros get to play this game on apiece. Refresh rates and. Just everything that. Cleaning it up. They are going to be blown away. They're going to perform so much better. I feel like we're just going to get a better game because I noticed it immediately like right when I got in God we were playing a timid join day. Twelve map initially because we wanted to try out the new ship NAP and if our modern from not whatever whatever whatever you call it. Yeah. Like I mean the ship nap the big ships. By the way what did I say did I lie when I say any game that has a battleship map on it is already a top five game. Oh, very cool map but now that has like three shifts on it that you can jump from ship to ship to ship. Diving. In the water getting vehicles, I'm not saying it's going to be competitive in east sports because it won't be from a casual standpoint run that twenty four, seven, I want to twenty four, seven ship Matt playlist are like that ship nap a lot more than the snow map. Yeah. That were for the big map that. Out on the names of these mounts but yeah, I mean I noticed it right away like the sixty hertz graphics like it. All just felt like I was playing on my old computer that I got rid of like a couple years ago. Now, you know like it just felt like I was playing on outdated equipment like I was playing things low settings compared to what I'm used to, and so that was the first thing that I thought of also is man like we're gonNA get a product. They've ever had before in call of duty lead just right away just 'cause it didn't play bad. It's just it wasn't as good as you would want it to be you know try and constantly. Yup. First thing that hopped out to me. I, think overall time to kill. It feels good. It is longer than what modern warfare was I kinda like. Me Too because it was one thing is when you played modern warfare for the first time I, remember playing the Beta or whatever they called it for modern warfare and I remember I got my first kill and laughed out. Loud. How because remember I they started with the foam us in warfare and I laughed at how fast they died. I took you back. The hundred fifty HP or whatever they're doing for. There's like. It did feel good. I didn't have an issue with it like I felt like it took. The right amount of blitz you know just felt it felt okay. The way I did was I will say this it allows what is a very underrated thing I think modern warfare was missing. It. Allows the turnaround kill. It allows for for that clutch moment to where if someone's coming up from behind, you can turn around and get them right into had that level of casual level. It will create that hype. So I liked not. Time to that was a big. That was a big piece of it like I think that. Just felt good. Overall map seemed okay a little. You know they're six we six. So it's hard to judge. But seemed I liked him I really like I thought Moscow is I think Moscow is going to be a really fun map to watch on a competitive level especially for before they have some like good wide lanes on there I I love the the lanes that we saw a lot more traditional. To call of duty than what we saw this past year with modern warfare is you can very clearly conceived distinct three lanes on most of these maps Moscow I thought was really good. I think satellite is going to be a really fun to watch. I know you didn't play too much but I thought satellite was a really good map of Miami. I have some concerns about just because of the openness of the middle of the But again, it does at least have the proper three lanes but the really spread out. So very curious to see how like Miami looks like a five eighty, five map instead of a four before to me on how it's currently laid out but. Again. I really liked him I thought the mouse were good and maybe that's just me grading attempt to light modern warfare maps. I did not like any of the modern warfare. Along. Yeah I was GONNA say it doesn't a lot to be to modern warfare Matt.
Online orientation begins for students in New York City schools
"Began today for New York City schools, and there are plenty of kinks to straighten up before kids head back to classrooms. On Monday, Mayor De Blasio is asked about a shortage of teachers and windows, not opening in classrooms. We're going to keep adjusting and figuring out what we need in terms of staffing. We've come this far. We're gonna keep doing what we have to do to make it better. Schools Chancellor Richard Carranza says the goal with blended learning is tohave live or synchronised learning for all remote students, But that will not be the case to start off. Some of your education remotely will be asynchronous. On that can still be very rigorous assignment. I'm Scott Pringle. Double d. O R. News. Some areas of
Samsungs Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G: All the details on the $2,000 foldable
"Just large galaxy. No twenty three weeks ago. Now it's time for the Godsey full to five Jeez chance to shine. That is a mouthful brought her Chang, and this is your daily charge. Joining me is he not reporter and Samson expert tooken extra me Machar, thanks for having me. So the gutsy full to five G. and that is a really really long name. I'm just GONNA. Keep that point. It got a minor tease at Samsung's event a few back but now it gets the spotlight to itself. So just before we get into all the specs in all the other details, let's let's get the important that other way how much does this thing cost? So in the US is going to cost two thousand dollars. So basically, it's twenty dollars more than last year's model. So it's a lot of money. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That does a huge amount of money. All right. Well, this is. This is a foldable and I get the full supposed to be expensive and it is Simpson's third foldable annexed assessor to last year's fold, which famously had allowed durability issues. So what's different about? Full to in what did Samsung do to make sure this phone holds up What we saw with the flip that they had this spring was that they really had addressed a lot of the issues that the first fold had. So they dealt with the problems with the hinge kind of the crease all of the things that people were complaining about they fix those We're GONNA see a lot of those improvements in the new Z. Fold to as well as. A few like updates from the flip earlier this year. So they've redesigned the hinge and it's the same as what we saw in the flip. So you can have it. You can rest the phone kind of you know at a eighty degree angle or whatever you know set it on your table. They also have these brushes inside the hinge. So in this, they had those earlier, but this is kind of the latest greatest version of those basically to kind of mixture, dust doesn't get in the device or you know whatever is in your purse when you wrote this in there. So they, they've done those sorts of things to address a lot of those issues that we saw last year got in in case God forbid something does happen phone are there any special warranty programs or anything they're doing to kind of make sure that folks peace of mind that spending two thousand dollars on something we're kind of seeing the same sort of offers that they had before were. They'll replace the off the. Screen like a one time replacement for around one fifty. So it's less than if you had to go replace the screen on your own. So that's the sort of thing to kind of try to make it. More. Realistic. Well, if the screen breaks I'm not going to have to pay two thousand dollars to get a new phone I can pay one fifty that replaced the screen and it'll be like new again. No let's about how this differs from the previous model obviously. There's a five gene, the name. So clearly will have five, the Axis. But how much five G. is we've talked about in previous episodes you there's different flavors of it. Right so how much access does this phone actually get on the five networks? On this phone basically is all of the five G. networks like this is a really or at least the major ones that we're using right now this is a very big advance over the folds in terms of a lot of things there's five G.. One of the biggest complaints about the first fold was the tiny screen on the front of the device. It wasn't really useful enough to actually use. The fold as a phone people were tending to just automatically have to open it and use kind of that bigger tablet size screen. So what they've got this time is a screen on the front that stretches across the entire front of the device and it just makes it look last year. It's more useful. So I think people will up using this more when it's closed, not just always having to open it. Yet with the five G., we have a five G. model at all last year for the fold in the US. So this time you know five jeep bigger screen. A lot of things that just make this more attractive and the other a features or bells and whistles that. Help this phone stand apart from his predecessor. Another big thing it's kind of that flex. Mod is what they call it. So that's what we saw I with the flip where you could set the device on the table and the screen will stay open in you know whatever degree you put it in. We're seeing that with this one as well. So they're saying, yeah, you can set it up for like shooting You know a video or whatever or you know or if you're watching something or whatever you can just basically has a built in that's the screen and the device itself So you know that's a big thing that I think people really like that was kind of a cool thing that came with the flip. So. That's one of the bigger changes that they kind of also made some good camera changes with this Basically, they addressed the biggest complaints that everyone had with last year's device and fix those in this one aside from the fact that it's still a two thousand dollar phone. You asked him we were on we talked about the the narrow sliver of customers who are willing to buy a thousand dollar note twenty now this is. A two thousand dollar phone I know it's foldable but. Questions about how useful that is who is Samsung actually targeting with this particular phone Samsung. Is actually targeting note owners with this phone. They found that the people who would traditionally gravitate towards the note lineup. Kind of those early adopters who want the latest greatest tech are willing to spend a lot of money to get a flashy device to get a bigger device and. They're finding that people who were buying the fold are a lot of people who have bought the note in the past or still do the notes It's the way they distinguish the flip and the full term. Each other is they see the flip is this sort of like. Cute. Phone that becomes smaller and put. You can put it in your pocket and it's more of kind of. Everyday lifestyle device and they see the folds as really kind of letting you transition from a phone to a tablet like get more done doing more with multitasking and access different APPS like Microsoft Office. You know things that you would do on a tablet but now you also have an inconvenience of the fact that is also your phone right and then you mentioned MC sophism I'm just curious in your. Demos with this device, how like whether they showed off how you use after how took advantage of this bigger screen? Well, they've kind of had this thing since the first generation of fold where it's called continuity where you could start an APP on the front and then open, it will open at work in the bigger screen and pick up where it left off the issue was there were not ten of APPs that took advantage of it I hope that we start to see more apps soon that work with it. kind of sense than. Samsung has been working more closely with Google and Microsoft and Youtube an office and things like that, and then there's that flex MoD. Also where APPs could you could maybe have you can take like a screen shot of something in an APP over here and then drag it to another APP on another part of your screen more with multitasking. So letting you have multiple APPs open at once is a big thing with the fold You know kind of more of that tablets sort of experience instead of just a phone experience. Give everything that's going on. We're still in the middle of pandemic a still dealing with the recession with millions unemployed. What do you think about Samsung unveiling a phone at this price point? It's kind of the same situation that we saw the note where people who? Would want to buy. This are probably people who were not hurt financially by what's going on right now because they're not traveling, they're not going out to dinners they're not going out to bars. Some people are probably saving money right now and they may see, hey, this is a lot flashier device from what was last year. It. Sampson's had a year to work out the kinks. Maybe this is worth investing in. The two thousand dollars is not unrealistic based on what is actually going into the device is just kind of a question of individual people have to decide if they're willing to pay two thousand dollars, but we have to remember this technology is still really early like foldable screens. This is basically just the second year first full year of seem devices with these. So it's not like these have. been around forever like like regular led displays Five G. is brand new. That is also expensive it adds cost to a device. So you know it's just kind of what you're willing to do but then you know as we've talked before, there's kind of factor of with foldable. You get these because you want people to see them. It's kind of how like iphones used to be like. The newest generations had to have some sort of little tweaks to make it. Make people know that you have the newest device, not that s off your device or whatever that you didn't buy like a two year old phone or year old bound. So it's the same sort of thing with this with you know when people are out using a foldable people, stop them ask what is that? Can I see what is and right now you really don't want anybody close enough to you to touch your phone or see it or or even be out that much to have people see it. So you know it's kind of the whole if you're in it just for the flash flashing aspect is probably not worth it but if you're in it because you want a device that transitions from phone to tablet. It would be attractive for people and thinks, lastly, I heard this phone grants some unusual perks what do you actually get with this phone? So it seems has this sort of VIP program for the folds and you get a membership with it. It's kind of unclear how this actually work works. Ground beef this seems dumb because if you lose power you just have a fridge full of recall all beans you dumbs and also you're going to get tired of it it's gross. Haven't you eaten enough of it in your life? Try Try something else but toilet paper just straight up confuses me like. I don't get why people go for toilet paper you know. I've been preaching the Gospel of bodies for years and like toilet paper. It's so people ask me about you say cleanest butthole on the game dues also clean and tidy and tidy very tidy. Doesn't leave it messy like nope. Got A got a real. We're talking about home. Yeah told the paper itself is fucking stupid. Because it's it's a waste of resources so I was doing some research. Apparently one person uses about thirty rolls whole year and one role is one and a half pounds of wood and needs thirty seven gallons of water just to create that role. I've always thought the paper or the cardboard role in the middle is the real waste right. I feel like we can do so. Be All a whole like. Does it have to have the paper thing? They understand how to turn. But couldn't we just like wax coat one roll of paper and just be smaller or manufacturing at the last minute? Just pull the cardboard out. Ya See there you go. What this doesn't really seem like an ideal time to be rolling back on food. Keep checking share. It wasn't this. The problem was the lack of inspections. Na Na all right but speaking of Rome back in inspections you remember how I talked about the trump administration allowing the pork industry self regulate and they reduce the amount of inspectors so quick update on that the Center for food safety which is let's CFS consumer rights advocacy group. "I would love to hear your best and worst Valentine's Day Worse earlier about how everything is ranked You think about like when you said failed romances. This I was like Oh we're ranked because we're GONNA capitalist system as a hierarchy has to rank everything as opposed to like a bunch of romances is that like didn't work out one who I found someone who I am very compatible with so I pointed out now I know I really liked liked to gesture that Naomi so my worse there. A lot of all of my adolescent ones were the worst. I was alone but I mean this is and when I was in fourth fifth grade You get those little card Valentine's and my friend's older brother who is just like kind of worst best Who is like a Douche wrote me? It was a Garfield Valentine's which really hurt my feelings because I love Garfield and he liked drew a mustache on it and in just wrote this really long mean Valentine about how is like ugly and one fifth grade and so that that was the worst part however the best part was that so I have this like very short Italian Dad who he can't like say I love you but he'll pay for braces and I. I showed him the Valentine and it was really sad and goes what's their number instead of your calls. Their house talks to her mom and goes. Can I threaten your son just like yeah he needs to learn a Alexa. Dag Goes if you ever bother my daughter again. I will hang. I remember I was like I was what nine so I was just like I will hang you up like a pig in a meat locker buyer.

"Before the break. The love languages that make us source or S. Rose I was saying it was saying it but when I heard and I was like S. O. R. E. E I know I know you're a poet talking it towards actually I kind of liked it or sweated just because Valentine's Day to me the thing is that I don't like is culture telling me what to do like I don't like anyone telling me what to do the rebel. He's a Weirdo. It's a real head. That's what people I want people to call. I want to be known as the Real Life Jug. I Love Hamburgers. It's that Weird Guy Archie. Do you think the culture at large was telling you to do the opposite. You would be all okay. I don't pay into your partner them lovable cultures telling me to do as as a man if on February twentieth. You put a long post on instagram about your partner. Throw people off. Public displays of affection. Don't physically but with words no no well actually like online talking about re tweeting. That was just me being facetious but go if my partner I mean. He's done like little now. Would he made a collage and then he wrote basically like an essay. Say about his love for you on facebook. First of all he would never do that. I'm also not a facebook so that would be a waste. You wouldn't even know about it. Yeah so does he like six months or another like that was really into bell. I like it better when my husband like tweets ever. I've done anything in my career. And he's like I'm so proud of my wife that that's all that perfect but like into like that intimacy boundary thing posting about you whereas like I love my curvy wife ever since high school. Do you remember that one. Yeah that was a brand a lot of heat for the dead so you you want strange. You want the praise of strangers. So I'm just saying what the praise as of strange Irish saying. I'll tell you I love a private. Dm I appreciate it. Especially when they're meaningful I. It makes my heart fill with the joy. But as somebody who hates branding and Promo and all of this shit somebody else if some twenty four year old is a fan of mine and can helping at a number. I love that because I wanNA throw my phone in the ocean. Yeah so I don't like it for ego I mean. Of course everyone I guess I just uh-huh yeah you guys. This is not. You're not you're not on trial here. Giulio a white woman's not feeling say yeah I I feel like I've been hot was the question. Oh yeah what's the new by that. You're like I want something to be done for me like a surprise gifts. No gifts gifts one grand grand gesture grandparents. I want storybook romance. You went to walk into a room and you're just like Oh my God for me fantastic. You do not have had this one fantasy since I was maybe five years old. And it's me. This is so strange but I think it's because I saw needed you guys know the violinist story so Midori is like a huge Japanese violinist and she. I saw hurting Carnegie Hall when I was five because my mom was like push me towards uh-huh fiddle Saudi free. So she was. She had these ideas of juilliard. And all this going up in New York and I saw her and I saw like how much values and she was getting. I started having dislike recurring almost like walking dream of like getting off of Carnegie Arne Hall Now Thinking Comedy Right and then getting in my towncar naturally right telling the driver. I Dunno Gilbert be like hey hey let's go straight home tonight no drink nothing and then he takes me. How like getting my elevator and I go upstairs and you could already hear by the eleventh floor? A sound of a grand piano. Oh my God and the doors open up. And it's like a golden age of Hollywood party and man is sitting on the grand piano playing for wherever you want and then they all look around they go. It's nice. Yeah I'm not crazy. That great gatsby dropping. Yeah I've had that in in my brain since I was foss..

Channel introducing what would how would I continue that sentence so that you would lose all faith in me. It's so much appro- fruitful dot dot dot for me to poop they. Yes comic book. Reference referencing a series of things is I don't know and then bring up Allen Dulles in the CIA and then it would have been like. I'm out I'm over it Just like the one time iceman pyro. The new he has the details to make that work. Let's introduce these people who are watching this take place. We asked a bunch of friends of ours. We'll start with you. Howie only say your name? Aliquo earth thanks for having me what time it feels like a tense off-broadway domestic plays out. What could I have said today? He was faith so it's uncomfortable for you. It's really way I don't know what's what's going on but we're looking for. We want a tense. Tracy Letts type whatever osage county nets. Guess Guess Hello. Can I speak okay. I didn't know I thought it was too tense. I should jump in Peter. Kim Thank you so much for having being here Peter Cam. We got here later than we thought we would writing. That's where the tensions coming from right because it's like I like to be here before everyone I liked liked to have been here. I would have set up a ray of drinks and I would have just been mentally prepared and it said it was like running to catch up. Yeah now our third guest who's taking it all in high chilly Rondi. Yes you are a friend of the show. You've heard both Peter and Julia Julia before the show. Yes and how he's been on the live show number ties but before it was a podcast you. You've never heard her before. This ever ever ever spoken out loud for you guys putting your friends and loved ones. They don't hear you. I'm here to say renaming for the PODCAST. Would've send it to them. They'll be like okay. This is what she meant when she beat this whole time. I guess I do listen to podcasts online. So that is true the minute I just realized something before we go in is every everybody on. The Pot is interrelationship. Every yes I am. This is why most in life I was not so this is a good time to catch me your your team and we Cho- we didn't choose as you guys who are three friends yeah. That hasn't done this yet. And we didn't choose you based on a relationship status but but that's a good. That's a nice little because today we are GonNa talk about Valentine's Day which last week and I think that's like a relationship holiday right exactly for the singles written. Yeah I mean I hate it. I don't do anything for you. And Your partner. Yeah now never know. I think like one year economy a card like save your money. Just a romantic and I've always liked dreamt about having the perfect perfect boyfriend and like what's going to happen and my boyfriend is so unromantic languages like Oh physical touch every day or like a a single one touch on the forehead with his penis dominant. But but I always wanted it and we've been together for five years in the first two years. I really struggle. Because I'm like you're not my Prince Eric doing this for me and I realized that I like I don't really I didn't really need it because I have the Guy Right. I have the guy now. I don't need the thing the dream I'm allowed to die. Hello you have the reality reality. Even in like as I've gotten older remember when I saw my mom start to stop carrying about holidays as I was like. That's so sad but I've become the same in the sense of like even for Christmas and birthdays literally will say my husband will be like if you find something that screams me in the summer. None of those. You know what I mean like get it from like you. Don't Uh I hate that stress of being like it's someone's birthday to sign something I I just like getting people gifts when I seen that remind me of them so I don't know I like the aesthetic of Valentine's Day more pink and red babies with arrows and wings. Exactly I into it but I do feel like now that I'm gonNA relationship. I was like well. What would we do go the dinner? That's the only thing we do anyways over your night to ridiculous by briefings. Are you kidding me. But then he will your plan ahead ahead where we going. Yeah I agree. It's like oh it's so spontaneous thing but it's really the planning that's the romance killer. Yeah I want to do something for me. Antic but that requires we start weeks ago something or bicycling or find something and that to me is I feel such panic which I also feel that way about like holiday. Gifts is as I'm always like okay this year. Get some great and this week four by idiot failure and it's like well what are we gonNA remove that anxiety eighty from the holiday and I think the answer is. It's really for children because I remember as a kid. You got those little paper cards that were not in a box and you've got a piece of candy that's it. That's what Valentine's Day is a little candy in favor card. That's great I think for like the last ten years I've done a show on Valentine's Day two and the producers always like is that okay. Yeah totally fine. Love is my my most intimate relationship is with a bunch of strangers laughing at me totally interesting definition of intimate. Yeah I do. I have a weird like boundary thing that I like and I don't know if you feel this but like after I do not like it when people come up to me. Oh I tried to with them. I want someone to come got compliment but I don't want to interact. I get like yeah get. We want people in the eye. I and then if they pass by me and compliment the person next to me. Then that's GonNa feel the vet anonymous trip advisor. Review is really great a big public posting the dams. Like Hey last night and you're so great. God I appreciate them but I can't repeat them. You can take a straight shot also thing in my like like I'm learning more fans are all like usually women over the age of Sixty so the handwritten yes the photos with me. It shows them and I'm like Oh they were going to send these to their grandkids. You say more photographs. Do you mean the old timey ones where you over your hand. You the hold up the flash bulb the sound flip phone. Yes the flip were born in nineteen sixty uh-huh after the advent personal photographer. We're old age. All right around the corner wait so you all have boundary kinks right side. Every preference is a cake now. Don't you know that I guess so. That makes it normalized right. Yeah everything's fine. Everything's King then. Yeah we're all doing great. Everything's a cake. Nothing's King Ooh poop though. Still a game. Listen as a gay man who is always part of our section. It's going to come into play you. Just I don't know whether it's there or not but I like that. I like an openness around poop meaning a communist same as opposed to being like the worst thing I could ever do live. Live is boop. I'm a monster. You know what I mean. I'm going to need some of that poop covered. That's where you're going to get on. Yeah yeah get started. I look forward to later developing some sort of finish right now like I'm like okay. The basics are fine but I could see the end of. That'd be exciting eventually. Never have started doing something something. Now that you're like well that could develop into a fetish and I'll be honest as the first year. I guess I get feet. Thank Beijing you explain it to me because I'm trying to understand it. It's that and this is my take on it. It is a boundary crossing way. It is like both very intimate in an unusual way and also feet stink. Oh it's like this animalistic thing armpit exactly. I barely are more popular which I've never never. I didn't know about but apparently armpits also like I think because that same way it's almost like the ramones. Yeah I had a thing with someone who isn't defeat. There were very very ashamed of it and I was well whatever and I was really hurt that they were so private about it. Because I'm extremely the extremely open I'd be like okay. I'll try and what they explain to me is they. Liked the idea of dominance with feet. Okay wanted like a woman to wear heels goals and like stomp on them. I was like cool. And they're like but not you. I love you and I was like Whoa together so dealbreaker Oh man. I wish that's all it took for me to leave somebody but but I Telling Breaking People's hearts this your first but yeah but the feet the I didn't. Yeah it's an it's an interesting one. Yeah that makes sense a my boyfriend and I have been talking about for the last couple of years bondage MHM like some kind of tie up situation there through like fuzzy handcuffs or actual row play. But we just can't Eh bring ourselves to learn not I mean to learn to fuck you. Don't WanNa be when the fucks it up and then your boyfriend has to get his hands amputated. You take these restrictive. Do you think per capita boy scouts. More boy scouts are into Bonham's absent. You're and you're doing rappers then. The scissors the ribbon Eh. Flaying Mike thing actually did take a class that were taught you bondage in in Williamsburg and one time and and the the person who taught it was like this incredible gay performance artist who also taught at like fit and he knew how to do it. And it's funny because I was writing about it for AH never ended up being published. I was reading something so I was like great. It's a great excuse to have somebody pay for this. And then I'll know and so when I called like okay you can come alone you. It doesn't have to be a couple of whatever and then I ended up inviting like an. XM I was friends with because I was like I'll feel weird. I get there was only couples if I walked in there with no would've burst into tears so humiliated. Well I'd like to but I don't have any ready when that person yourself up to a pole hall or something. I don't remember any of it and I didn't retain very bet it I was like I. I can't learn the CPR dummy just in case someone did show up on on their own. I didn't see one or like when the teacher has to be your partner off the in school. Also I love. The teacher loved me and I love to teach a sexual way at all but like ashes like you were actually okay Ya know judgments half for sure no being judged as my king so yeah we're together so judge. Wow every everything she says to. You is just like finding this wanting I am so sorry because I do feel like we perform. It's like that is the dynamic namic. Were playing meeting like a what. But it's like I do love you and understand most of you. I hope you know what I mean. But I'm where do they were playing a game or you like truly. Who's afraid of Virginia? Woolf in this situation worried about our love Halley. No not at all that you lean into it. You must in an improvisational no way no. I don't think he's still be together. He didn't tell her don't you so. I do think I could be wrong but I do. Think for a lot of male female couples that is the dynamic. Usually I just like. Hey that's like at least that's what my parents doesn't that feel bad. God I feel like I'm in a Sitcom like I remember the first time line..
