"Three McAllister's first, Jamie Foxx, Katie Holmes. Make it met gala fischel posing a couple on the first major event red carpet big deal. I didn't even know that. Because I was watching news, obviously, they didn't show us anything important. Oh up. Sorry while they didn't hit the red carpet. The couple posed for photos inside the event in front of the flower wall. And in the main met hall looking cozy with their hands around one another as they stop for photographers, which they've never done before. They're always photograph editor sitting next to me like with an iphone. She doesn't want to poke the bear Scientology. Maybe she's out of her contract feel so bad for like, I think about her all the time. I know, but I feel as though they've been together for really longtime her Jamie Foxx, make feeling really happy. I think so because they don't like seek like this. Slime light. You know, when I just wanna say another very disappointing person. Outfit jaylo. Just like so thirsty thirsty. So been there done that riana and khloe Kardashian get like she could have warned that dress and even the headpiece like an award show wasn't special. No, it wasn't special obvious thirsty choice, and it was like almost two safe, but her safety like it was actually risk who who chilling. I need to clear my throat, so. Told his season hot nice. Okay. Katie Holmes, Jamie Foxx. Do you ship? I do actually really happy for them. I feel Jamie Foxx needs a stable woman in his life. She's a mom. She's a business woman. I think they're both really good for each other. She needs a little excitement in her life. I feel like she's been Kimmy Schmidt. The mo- woman for years like she just needs to leave the house and go to parties, and like he can offer her that they both fit each other's needs. Really? Well, yeah, I'm glad that they have the competence or whatever the contract ending grump. And they have started to step out a little while ago, actually, like a good amount of time ago. And then like something happened with the contract, you know, she got a cease and desist or some shit, and they really took a step back. And I thought they had broken up. But no, they're here at Mukalla.

"Watchman? Got it. It's the unbreakable Kimmy Shefer. Hello, kim. What I was called all my leg. Kimmy? Yes. I was Kinney shopper I stopped writing papers in sixth grade. I thought I would pull out when did you stop? When did you and your friends stop? They haven't. Okay. So it's okay. Then if you've known me since I was little you. Call me Kimmy, and my really good friends calling. It can it works -scuse huge. We're trying to make a special version of the theme song from the unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt for you, the unbreakable Kimmy shafir don't take no Schmidt. That's it. That's your slogan. Can we don't take? No Schmidt, though. Shafir Kim is our chemist our phone angel. She she's answering your calls, and then grooms you for your parents on national radio. I try so lovely some nicely. Sometimes you have to tell people there's still a little rough around the police brush your hair. When's the last time you were at a barber, but other than that, we don't we don't judge? We don't judge can't see you who should I start with cannon were said has a few different phone options. And I think he wants you to point him the right direction. I, you know, this is a golden era for people who would like phone options. Yeah. Phone options are great lots of them. What do you have? I never I don't remember. I got the iphone the massive the s the excess max the tennis max. Yep. So nice phone. It is it's way too expensive. It's ridiculous. You see the no one I'm getting. Uh-huh. Next week. I'll show you. I'll show you mine you show me yours, but first let's go to Ken in Mercedes. Hello, ken. Leo. Welcome. Good to talk to you to talk to you. Yeah. I'm I'm not into those expensive phones. I. One of those. Phones. No shame in that. It's ridiculous. Victor is probably a concern about ashamed. Spending a thousand bucks on a phone, especially since it's not gonna you know, a couple of years, you're gonna get a new one doesn't make sense. Well, it's around time. I need a new one. And it's only because when I went to comb cast. My four point three. Oh, you do have Android. You do have Android. Yeah. I've got an Android now. Okay. Yeah. You gotta need you need a new one for chrome cast. And by the way, for your own personal peace of mind because security on Android, and the older androids is terrible. You know, they'll keep them up to date anymore after a certain point. This is I tried updating it, and that's as far as it went four point. Yeah. Yeah. But you know, it's a track phone, and you didn't want to spend a lot of money on the phone anymore than you wanted to spend a lot of money on the subscription. Truthfully. The subscription often costs more than the phone over the long run, right? If you're paying eighty dollars a month. That's. Right. So get exactly yeah. I'm not like you surfing on there. Believe it or not I'm serving with a Chromebook because it's safer. Good, man. So the only thing you wanna do. Besides phone calls is chrome cast partially. Yeah. And unfortunately it worked before. But all of a sudden, they went and upgraded. Chrome cat. Oh, man. I get the picture, but I don't get any sound. Now, it doesn't I don't see that Google says Android five higher. Just so close. So I would recommend Andrew five though, unless you're not using it for anything else, which sounds like you're not you don't wanna go on the net with that thing you want not download any apps because apps can be dangerous to get running windows XP or maybe even worse. So you're your little out of date. So if you could get a new phone, how do you have a budget for it? Well, I'm looking at their. Yeah. I can I can afford to three hundred bucks. Yeah. And I'm looking at the ones on there. There's there. They've got an iphone six s that's bad. Do you want an iphone and you want to stick with Android? I like Android because I was gonna ask you about this iphone six s you can't put in cards or anything. Oh, no. I would look at my favorite low priced Android phones from Motorola, the motos. And they have a whole series of g phones the latest is the G seven. But that's not quite out yet. You don't need a g seven. That's that's three hundred bucks. The Moto g six though is one seventy nine ninety nine. That's last years. And it's great. Yeah. Data Motorola before. Yeah. No. That's right. They were the they created the settlers smart the cell phone. They were the I remember those ones you carried over your shoulder because that's such a big battery and the phone itself was the size of a regular phone handset. Remember that that was Motorola? Their own now by a Chinese company Lenovo, but the Nova's a good company and the Moto g's are great. I mean, go to your carrier, they'll probably carry them if they don't you can get them unlocked from Motorola, who who do you who's your phone company? Yeah. Trek phone, and I can get a g six four. Eighty bucks perfect. That's yeah. That's the list. The other thing you could do is go to Google store store. Arrive other Google PHI PHI, PHI dot Google dot com. Another carrier look at their price compared to your track phone costs. You might say you might save somebody's twenty bucks a month for unlimited calls and texts, and then you pay for data ten bucks a gig white since you don't use any data. That's a twenty dollar a month phone for you. For like, twenty bucks believe it or not. I use my phone so little that twenty bucks on a track phone. Me for three months, and I usually run outta I run out of the lake of time before I run out of the minutes. If you go to Google fi the sounds like you got a better deal. But if you do wanna go Google fi they're selling the g six for ninety nine dollars because you're signing up for an account. So that's just but yeah, the g six is a great choice. It's it's bigger than your existing Samsung, it's a pure pretty much a pure Google experience. They keep it up to date. It has actually very good camera better than what you have right now. I know you don't use any of these features. But the good news is it works. Great with chrome cast to this for low cost, Android phones. I think the motos is absolutely my choice. There's some others. You know, if you're willing to spend a little bit more like the the one plus phones are very good. I, you know, and I'm a big fan of Google's fi service. But that's only for people who.

"Had the hand over the whole show riding certain parts and producing it. What do you think? I think that I mean, that's definitely a better idea than what they have just because as you say, it'd be more cohesive. It's just find somebody who's going to strike that right balance that you're talking about who also wants to do. But the ideas out there. Yes, you find look at the desert, you'll somebody imagine another shows on own anymore. But imagine if the the writers and producers thirty rock sure, did they kademi Ward's. I mean, you would have something that was so balanced everything. They nothing see like trying to hard. They get there. Get the audiences. They're put the time. Yeah. You know? I that's what's going to have to happen, man. You just see it needs more cohesiveness. Speaking of more cohesiveness unless you were at anything you wanna add to this. Well, just when you talk about thirty rock because we just got done watching the unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. The final episode of that it which is very similar. But you think about those those Golden Globes when the host was Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, and yes, those went. Yeah. That's the and see that's another thing that that you're talking about host number three, man. Bring on your host and make sure you know, your host. Well, but that's always been a suggestion. No, your host bring somebody that might be younger and bring them onto appeal to the younger crowd, but don't just brain them on. And let them do what they wanna do. Which is why you need a cohesive team of writers and producers prov the same people somebody that the hose works because you don't want your house to do whatever they want to do at the same time. If you don't want to write stuff that your host is familiar comfortable with. No, that's why producers should work with the host and not for the host. Right. That has been a disaster a lot lately. That's the reason why I had a problem with Chris rock because Chris rock's humor not that. Chris rock can attain, but Chris rock's humor sometimes deviated away too much from the Oscars. I think he did stuff like, you know, he just gets and whatnot. They were more like a. You know, that's that's like a black Twitter, or, you know, it ain't really put the Oscars. A big miscalculation, and you know about this. When he brought out a Stacey dash. Yeah. Black people in white people. Like what the fuck you man, kademi is taking steps to fix this problem. It is my honor to introduce the new director of our minority outreach program. Please let them miss Stacey. Dash. I cannot wait to help my people out. Happy lack history month. Okay. Here's everything that's wrong. With that. What he said that joke is a one liner. Would you say it as mistakes? Dash and then you move onto the next joke. You don't stop and then have to wait for her to come out and not have a follow up punchline and walk off the joke. Win the worked anyway. No, that's one of throwaway jokes. You haven't in their diversity mistakes. She dash, and and also and you move on to something else..

Don on the show, unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Kim Schmitz last six episodes just dropped on that flex. You know, you mentioned the way that unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt has tried to engage with the the kind of cultural breadth of New York, which is at center, and that is one of the themes of the show being is that the protagonist is a woman who comes from almost an absence of culture, not because she's like a traditional midwestern knife, but more because she lived in an underground bunker for eight years removed from culture, and so yes, she doesn't know anything about the world. And she's in New York, this place that is a, you know, a cauldron of thousand cultures as you as you alluded to. That has been, you know, slightly problematic is it's hard to write about those things when you're writing a big show like this. You know, a big broad cartoony jokey show. It's hard to muscle in the specificity. That's required. But I think it's the show's done a really interesting job of. Using that kind of specificity and using the ark of the season two. Transform stereotypes into commentary and one of the smaller instances of that on a timescale something that we can make a clip of is. This this ark for your character where he has been working at a theme restaurant, and it's like a Broadway theme restaurant, and he his character is a wear wolf. And so he has been he doesn't take off his costume after work one day, and he sort of lurching around the city, and yeah, let's let's take a listen to Titus Burgess on on the unbreakable Kimmy. But his season was was was was was worth watching. I'm just so like, I honestly, I'm just so what's the word? I'm looking for dumb. Know like the one where you're like upset or like depressed. Oh, like sponde- angry. No, I'm not angry. I'm like, I'm just I'm so despondent about the about the moral universe shows on Netflix being can't specifically daredevils. Yeah. I really that's like I'm like, why am I going to watch and the punisher they gave me three great seasons. They sure did. But they really really left me wanting more the last. Yeah. It's better to be left wanting more, I suppose. Yeah. You're right. You're right. For example. I I also watched the final half season of Kimmy Schmidt down on Netflix. Big fan of the Kimmy Schmidt. Joe? Very funny likes her character on the office. You kind of similar character. Well, written very funny. And they kind of wrapped it up in the I don't like finale. Spoiler alert where they give everybody like the happy ending. Oh, is it like a finale finale? Yeah. Yeah. It's over over. Well, but that was only like two or three seasons four. Oh what? Well, all right, then, but they're Netflix seasons. Just moved the whole thing. Yeah. And then I have been binging the hell out of game of thrones. And boy that one starts this might become a game podcast. I actually yeah. We I I'm not opposed actually doing to a week one. When one one there are enough insider, there's enough dolphin content. While I'm saying, we totally make this a game of thrones. Actually, are our Twitter is terrible dead thing. But it's at t- blowhole like like a like a white blocker. It's like a white one. No, it's way deader than a whitewater like the dragon like the ice dragon. It's no it's like John area dead. John Aaron Aaron no I'm talking about the white Walker. All right. It's been a while. But I wouldn't mind doing like a a recap of this of the weekend game and a recap of game of there will be no football to talk about. Oh, that's right. That's april. We're talking. We can we'll talk half draft half game of thrones. We'll talk seventy five percent game of thrones. Twenty-five died is happening. We'll talk eighty five percent game of thrones. We will percentages. Trapped there won't be that much. I mean, we could speculate, but we should just talk about gaming thrones. And we should get we need. We've talked about this about making it more interactive. So this would be a really good way to get our twelve listeners to interact with everybody likes game of thrones. "No smell. But you'll have the most beautiful new waterfront with ducks in it ducks that have be. How many? Jacked up so high. We'll probably have to move to hot island where they bury all unclaimed bodies. Why forget do you like sleeping in a giant pit fullest skeletons? No, I don't. The smell. You know, as a very nearly lifelong New Yorker now, it must be fun to get to be that, you know, as grand and ridiculous as the character is she is an advocate for something really beautiful something that I know a lot of people who live in New York and who have lived in New York really care about. Which is what's what's special about it? The the craziness acting putt of it all the individuality, the fantastic array of colors and shapes and sizes of people and bookstores and movie theaters that are not chain movie theaters. All of the things that are rapidly disappearing about the city neighborhoods. You know, the New York is full of every nationality of neighborhood. And now every a lot of things are getting kind of homogenized together. So that. When you I mean, I remember when you got on a subway on the Upper West side, there'd be a certain special individual thing about that neighborhood. And you go down town way downtown and get off the subway and everything would be completely different there. And now, you know, you get on the subway uptown, and there's Dwayne when read the mileage, and then you get on the subway way way down to get off the same Dwayne Reed and everything else all the banks and the so that that's a shame. You know, the neighborhoods are are going away. Did Did you you ever ever have have a a person person in? in your life like this? I mean, there's character reminds me of multiple neighbors that I had as a kid in the mission district in San Francisco. Mrs love who wants threatened to kill my dog. If it peed on her house anymore at a time when I was young enough to young enough to still not understand that that was not a literal threat. Had to explain to me. Yeah. I mean, of course, if you live in New York, you know, those people I mean, just let's talk about radio, man. If you wanna know one of those people, I mean, yes, it's there's a lot of oversized characters came. We talk about radio, man. Do you know who radio, man? Oh, well, then it doesn't really it won't be that interesting Tucker, but radio man is a man who lives in New York who looks like a very scruffy bum. Who also an acknowledged way for many people for a shocking resemblance in his features to Robin Williams, especially if rob net a beard or something like that. But he goes everywhere with radio around his neck and places radio, and he's an autograph hound seeker. And he is outside every theatre for a million years. He has also been in many many movies now many movies as himself as radio, man. And he actually says any knows where everything is shooting in New York on any given day, you can tell you and now. Now, if you call his cell phone number, which he has online, then there'll be a rundown of who's shooting where what you know, we're Bobby is. We're Al is. He knows what's happening everywhere in the city, but he's also still outside getting autographs and at night. And so he's just a supreme fantastic example of a New York character fixture. Carol Kane, I couldn't be more grateful to you for coming in and talking to me what what enjoying. I feel the same way. False flattery. But I'll take it. Carol Kane everybody catcher in the unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. It's on Netflix right now. She's so wonderful on the show at just what a what a joy, she is what joy. Sidney lumet directed movies in a way as though he were directing theater, right? He was we we Hearst like a play by the time the rehearse most movie directors tend not to like the rear is very much. But Sydney, we got in rehearsals, Rome, and we worked for three and a half four weeks on the movie, and we got to the point where we could run the whole script from top to bottom becau-, which is so helpful because movies are not usually shut in any kind of continuity. But if you get to rehearse the whole thing, then you're Gannon clear familiar with where you might be any given time those pretty great. I feel like it might have been a benefit to be able to do that. If you are a nervous performer that you by getting the whole thing a second nature gives you gives you a certain kind of freedom. Oh, yes. And by the way, though, most people are nervous before. Not everybody. Maybe as in such a panic as I when they go in for additions, but I don't know too many performance who don't, but you know, why that is because the the really wonderful actors musicians, whatever painters are perfectionists, and so you're not nervous necessarily for the other people you're nervous because you're wrestling with yourself to be as good as you know, you're supposed to be you have to be you must be. So of course, when you're allowed to really inhabit a role in a way that that rehearsal time gives you the freedom. It's fantastic. And also, you get to know your fellow players in no way, you're not just, you know, have the time you're saying, oh, nice to meet you. And then you're in in bed with somebody. And a love scene. But this way, you you really know each other as people you you can look into each other's eyes. And no interpreted kind of feeling that you're getting in such a personal way. It's really a luxury anyone who works in. My office will tell you that there are moments where we're trying to do work of some serious public radio. I mean, my job is a public radio host is to inform and educate the populace and provide them within a high class arts, education, etc. And I will in the course of a very serious of a very serious interaction start laughing while staring off into the middle distance. Because I'm just thinking of something funny that happened on Kimmy Schmidt. Like, I think a lot about a time. When one of the character said, stop the presses my kidney can wait. I'll play a season three seen. So your character runs. For city council to basically, she is in a way represents the spirit of bohemian, New York. She's very passionate about everything gross in free and exciting about living in New York. Thank you of neighborhoods exactly is going away everywhere. And certainly in New York, Jane Krakow's skis. Character Jacqueline is very rich and represents a very very rich sort of central park westie of voice, and she is opposing Lillian z- run for a neighborhood council because she's she's trying to run for neighborhood council to to engine gentrification, essentially and Ellie Kemper is character Kimmy, the main character is caught in between them her to sort of mentor figures in a funny way. And basically this scene is the two of them trying to talk LA into going their way. Okay. Now, listen, you gonna vote for me to my aunt, you get of course. But if you bought for her she. He's going to stop me from bringing clean water to this neighborhood. Really? That's why you need to vote for any candidate Butler Ilian. No. If this yuppie enter yuppie voiceprint, clean up the sledge front more yuppies move in. And you know, you're busy. Plus. Oh sprout. Yeah. And I taste like lavender..

"It's bowls eye. I'm Jesse thorn. I'm here with Carol Kane. She's a legendary character actress she's on the TV show unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, which is now in its final season on that lex. I mean, I think it's amazing to me that you as someone who's worked with an actress for nearly fifty years I and a lot of actors. Part of what they develop in their lives is a kind of defense against failure. Because they never get the part. And you got the reverse like you you were blindly. You were blindly falling into beautiful and spectacular art at the beginning of your career and didn't have to worry about it. And when the reality of failures started to hit you it weighed upon you more and more is your career went on rather than the reverse. My mother always saying to me Honey, you just got to try and develop a oh thick skin. You know? And I just never was able to do that. I just. I guess the best example of that is that a few years ago, I was on Broadway and wicked and during that time, I was asked to addition for Pippin on Broadway to replace the genius. Andrea Martin and for various crazy reasons. The audition process went on for about a year because I'd be scheduled. But then the director would be directing something else out of town. And they and they were trying to get everybody in the same room at the same time, and that kept not happening for all kinds of reasons. And I kept hiring a vocal coach every time over a period of a year because I'm not a natural singer. Even though I was fortunate enough to do wicked. But I'm the Rex Harrison kind of talk for them. And I would study in study. And then it didn't work out the sentencing finally got to addition and. I thought it had gone rather. Well, because the everybody in the theatre stood up an applauded after my addition, and then I didn't get it. And I was so devastated, you know, I was just crawling around the floor weeping, and then I thought to myself you can't do this anymore. I realized that I couldn't take it that I was too old to put myself through that anymore, and I stopped and as soon as I stopped the miracle happened that I got called to. Robert, Jeff, Richman, the commission people, and I was also offered to play the role of the penguins mother on Gotham both of those things happen right after I said, I can't do it anymore the auditioning. So I don't know that's just America. But it's true. I wanna play a clip of you in hundred seventy five my guess is Carol Kane and this is from dog day afternoon, which was directed by Sidney lumet and your character's name is Jenny. And the the film is about a group of people being held hostage at a Bank and sunny who's played by Pacino is is one of the Bank robbers who was holding them hostage. And in this tank is Allie exactly and he calls. He calls you into the room to tell you that your husband's on the phone wall. So here that in the middle of the conversation, sunny gets a phone call from the chief of police will hear sunny, I. They were Jenny. Who's jenny? It's me. Squad. You've got a husband. Go ahead. Could I tell him? I don't know would comment on. Comedy w when he w plays all the hits. First off is anybody hurt? Are you keep away from this Bank of we're going to start pulling bodies out the front door one at a time? You got that? Listen, don't do that. Now. Wait a minute. Let me talk you for a while. And how many people got mad? Call me back..

"You how many innings Hampel? Okay. So the first thing I was in was wizard of Oz. And I was a munchkin not to brag not to brag. But I mean, listen, it's my history. So then, you know, the munchkins have this thing. When Dorothy lands were they say, you know, don't go to the east for in the east, but don't go to the west for in the west. So you know, we were seven, and we just pointed our hands whatever direction. One don't go to the eastern, and he Jerry came storming down the aisle of the theater and explained to us that there east west north and south and the specific directions we had two point in. We couldn't just randomly through our arms around. So he really he had this professional standard. Like if anybody checked we were pointing to the east when we said, he's what was the first time. You got paid to act I joined both unions when I was fourteen so a sag at the time now after I joined sagging equity when I was fourteen and was in union plays and in union movies, and even a pilot called the happiness and. Yes. So fourteen. Were you like going off to were you taking advantage of your schools leeway and just heading off to auditions could. I mean, I did, you know women of any age do not get as many additions as men or boys. But whenever I could get one. I went to it. Of course that were you auditioning for what was sixteen year old Carol canes type was sixteen known at sixteen fourteen. I think I graduated when I was sixteen got to being carnal knowledge shortly thereafter with that Mike Nichols directed. But what was I did team for mostly theater kind of part? Well, serious than those days. I was a serious actress in those days, I'm I addition for the Prime Minister, Jean Brodie, I'm Broadway thirteen times and do not get it. I just thought I was would not survive. And then I did was lucky enough to get to it on the road with the fantastic Tammy Grimes who we just lost. And that was a great experience. One of the things that I love about your character on commission that is that, you know, I think it in many ways like parts of your career have been defined by the fact that you have a really distinctive voice and a really distinctive looking. I'm you're very beautiful, but you, and you have this sort of wonderful, grand hair and always have and that lends itself towards you know, you've often played mousy characters one of the things that I love about Kimmy Schmidt. Is that it is? So undeniably you, but it is also the furthest thing from Massey character. It's a character with no limits. No censorship. Exactly. And great writing. I know that's kind of fun to just get to say any in fact, some of the things I say just shocked me, you know, me. Lillian does things that I would never do IB way too self-conscious for so his kind of fun to be legally asked to do some checking things and say some shocking things sometimes the jokes on Kimmy Schmidt. And this was true of thirty rock as well are so fast in dense. Unlike so complex that I lose them as a viewer, and I'm a very serious comedy viewer who prides himself on not missing anything. Right. And I miss it. Sometimes. And I wonder it must be extraordinarily challenging to nail every one of those intricate. Joe they hide but thank goodness Gina fan. Robert Carlyle, a very hands on their down there on the floor with us. And if we don't get it, we do it again. And they explain it, and they fix it until it's until you got it. They don't go away from it. And then the other thing is about Kimmy, which I've never experienced before is that there are things that I say, I'm Kimmy that. I don't understand what they mean at all so up to date almost like a head of time. You know, and they are things to do with the the modern Computerworld and everything that's hip and cool and of the moment, and I don't know I've got references to, you know, things that I say, I just say them and people laugh, and and then later I say, well, what does that mean? Sometimes I'll I'll try and understand what it means before say, and they try and explain to me, and I sometimes stood on understand..

"You heard the rooster crowed and you you smell the biscuits cooking. And you knew it was time to get up and as Georgia right at rule, Georgia's and Stephen shorter and just because you were a child didn't mean, you didn't have things you could do the house had to be taken care of and you needed to be fed. And there were only two people, and there was a, you know, several cousins, but it they were with their parents 'cause both all my cousin had both parents in the home. But they would often come now for daycare. Anyways. The point is I I knew that time is of the essence. So you grew up in the country. What kind of kid were you were you enjoying that life? Were you dreaming of another life? Oh, I hated it. What did you hate about being in the country? I didn't want to be there. How'd you know? How did you know you like girls? I don't how you like boys. I did how do you know? Exactly, you just I. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. So when you knew what did you do I dreamed? I sang I did plays. I didn't think that closely resembled the the the life that I wanted to live that I had access to as as much as my mom would admit an folks would allow and until I could make more decisions all my own, you know, to get into a place where I could call some of the shots in my little corner of my own little world. You know? I I am. That's what I did. So then walk me through. I mean, you end up on Broadway. Was it hard to get there? You just did you finish school into San going into Europe York now or I mean, like, no I went to DisneyWorld for a little bit to give equity card, and then I left after one contract, and I went to New York and went through the few little dozens of dollars that I had and was it hard to it wasn't that hard to get on Broadway. But it was hard to not have a job and it again. It was hard to convince the ethical casting directors that you can be something other than what you appear to be as you walk in the world, and people can only suppose represent you. As far as I reach goes. And some people just don't reach that the truth is true. Ain't that the truth? You know, I would spend literally an hour talking with you about the work. You did at Disney because I find that fascinating. But like briefly what were you doing at Disney has in some show called the festival of The Lion King? I should not have been there. The festival of the lion. Cain had nothing. Do The Lion King? What just use their carriages in some of the songs, but people were bouncing around swinging entropy, aren't and things like that. It It was was fun. fun you character that is subsequently not in The Lion King. That's why I'm like, it would even do for me to tell you because you have no idea they just sort of through all these things together. Okay. When we come back Titus. Now I asked eighty if she were the kind of person who makes an agenda for the new season. I think I'm the opposite of that kind of person where I've really released any sense of control or agenda of what I think I can do. And I just even think I feel like every year that I tried to like. Dan summer ideas and be like, okay, here are my top five ideas that I want to do. It's just like they never worked. They always feel a little stale, and so I really don't plan. Excuse me, they work you were just nominated for an EMMY. Not none of those things helped me get anywhere near that. What was that? Like by the way to be nominated for an EMMY, it was cool. It was totally unexpected and truly shocking and also is kind of in the thick of working on something else. So it was good because I didn't really know that they were being announced. It was just truly like I woke up and my phone was going insane, and I was like, what is all this about? So that was kind of a nice totally shock. That's an old cast member. Heidi Gardner is coming off one hell of a freshman year on the show. She had no one, but two characters. I was getting solid eight hours of sleep, and I was like, oh, that's what this feels like. See that again. I, I know. I mean, already my body is I think it's prepping me for the season and I'm only getting a few hours a night. Yeah. What did you think about over the summer where you able to put us in l. out of your mind or did you really use the summer to think about it more? I think whenever I'm like, okay, I have to focus on a sketch or have to focus on characters. They're harder to come by when I let myself go and just have experiences and get out in the world a little more than everything starts to like, come to me and hang out with friends, I didn't see. And then even hear them tell me stories about their lives and I'm like, oh, that's hilarious. And ask more questions, get curious. And then everything starts kind of organically happening.
