I can't. But then you know things started. Heat up again, you know, late night and you wanted to see what was going on. And then I wanted. I was curious to see what the late night shows. We're going to be doing because I did hear that They were going to go on. As usual. They were not Gonna be doing reruns. You know that of Letterman talking about how we have to get back to normal. Things have to get back to normal, and that's You know a little bit of what they did last night as well. Yeah, I didn't make it to Kimmel, Fallon or Colbert last night. We have We have some clips. Of them. I mean, there was it was all political talk. It was all political guests. Jim Gaffigan was a guest on James Corden's show last night and, uh, you know, very uncharacteristic for Jim talking politics. You follow it with Jim Gaffigan on Twitter. He's ah, very deep thinker about politics and holds nothing back about how he feels about things. Dan Rather was guest on. Jimmy Fallon. There were other news correspondents on some of the other shows. But here's you know, just a little bit of What we saw and heard last night. This was one of those days that I always assumed was behind us. This is not the sort of thing that I ever imagined would happen in this country in my lifetime Trumpers today breached the capital walls. They storm the Senate chamber fighting with police breaking windows, stealing things where the the only respect that was shown. Was for the velvet ropes and for whatever reason, stayed within the velvet ropes at it. Maybe they should put those around the whole building and they'd stay out. It's been a crazy day with everything going on How the Gaffigan Just, you know, gravy and like, you know, contemplating what we're gonna do once the pandemics over, But it is getting crazy and crazy, and today is just Insert it Xcelengy will of absurdity. And like everyone, I was watching things happen over on the news and And I was reading along on Twitter and what I thought of was because here I am kind of riding out the pandemic with my five Children. I was thinking how am I gonna explain this? For my kids, or how is history can explain it business and how any of this works. We don't decide elections on whose most upset We decide them by who gets the most votes? Portion by state through a weird electoral college that was instituted to maintain the political power of slave states. It's a long story. The point is The person who screams the loudest doesn't get their way that only works on family road trips and you end up having Baskin Robbins for dinner. You know which Baskin Robbins for dinner is not a terrible thing that you know. I think a lot of people would have loved it for some comfort food. I love the line. Kimmel's lying about those Those protesters staying between the velvet ropes. That was so true, I saw that a number of times and even think about that It was hilarious that it with all this chaos going on outside, and people jumping through Windows and Climbing the walls of capital when they got inside. There were there were velvet ropes that were set up and they stayed within development rules. Yeah, it's insane. I mean, that that whole scene was was crazy. At the call screener didn't want any jokes takes very seriously well. Why don't you take it seriously? If that's how you feel about it to come on the air and talk about it because I, take it so seriously. Jokes are serious things. The first sign of a society declining into totalitarianism is when it abandons jokes. She can read. There's a great Milan Kundera novel about it. "More money more ability. Yeah I. Think you know I. Think even then. It's the idea that you can bring this down from the inside. I think is just a fallacy in it of itself. It's really only things we've seen. Is You bring down from the outside? Because when people got outside and started bringing shit, down. We started seeing things happened this. This This is how exactly like this sort of faux decorum. We have around the idea of like passing these laws to get things done like that. It's almost just like this weird. You know just putting the brakes on getting to the end game of equality. We're trying to get to. And so. I, think people need to be just as engaged and willing to realize as we also have power in solidarity to that can clearly was able to communicate some ideas over the last month. Yeah, and if you're like a weird, hold over, and you're making like twenty grand a month by. Month sorry twenty grand a year like okay. It's not great, but like I. Get it for poor people, but no one like come on. If you're looking for the DOJ and you're making one hundred fifty. Whatever amount that you're making a year anything like like I know houses families I. Get it. But at a certain point you gotta you gotTa have a reckoning with yourself and to sit down and have I. don't know man. What are the hardest part is because I the reason I feel like you even say like. That doesn't work, but I don't know I. Get, it is because we understand though implicitly that because of the way the system works having to work to live. Because if you don't work, you have no house. You have no health insurance. Nothing that that's how people like that's your option. System. Sucks maybe. I think people haven't. Hold on. Let me get in here before this thing gets. Ten, times should examine the entire system. Maybe you want every circuit, city and toys R. US to Shut Down Cook. You Walk. Guy! Radio Shack to be out of business. Blockbuster. Okay that'll be the day. I don't dam sure. Store runs like the post office. All right. Let's talk real quickly. or at length about what Cassie Dick hoste called in the daily beast Hollywood's black face, apology tour Yeah, she said not very convincing. Jimmy Kimmel Jimmy Fallon the Jimmy's. And Tina Fey. Yeah Yeah I mean. Hey. They're doing the. They're doing a great job of doing the thing we were saying. Don't do which is just do symbolic things that make people believe you understand what's going on. You know Kimmel. Say he was sorry. was simply he and even his apology was defending his black face, wearing by saying. Trying to impersonate a fellow human, that's high side. I didn't see you. Back. Is Doing. Color thing. Yeah, it's bullshit and it's so tired and actually. Nice try to try and defend your racist bullshit. You just played yourself even in that. Defense Jimmy Kimmel Fallon is doing the same thing Tina phase like you know the episodes that Ha- in thirty rock, where characters are in black face struck them from the record, so that no no evidence remains of my transgressions when history looks back on the work I may have done, or not have may have done and. I think a lot of people depending on how engaged you are in this topic would be like. Wow, they get it, but that's what the whole thing is meant to do. Just to communicate that people get it, but this isn't this whole thing. Right isn't just about George Floyd and the countless others that have been more by police This is a larger reckoning with systemic racism and white supremacy, and all the ways in which it disenfranchises. Them. I think that's why we also see people in Europe or like yeah, actually even though we're not in Americo, we're feeling this feeling of like anti blackness oppression colonialism slavery. Whatever let's take this shit down. There's motivation to address that so these symbolic things like saying I'm sorry or You'll never find those episodes on peacock, whatever the fuck! It's just these gestures, and it takes more than like firing a couple bad cops for us to be like okay. The police get it or deleting these clips of you and black face. We're asking for real fucking change. We're asking for like systemic changes overhaul. So in the same way that we're saying law enforcement needs to be completely de funded. And rethought of how we enforce the laws, and even think of what we consider crime, because really most of the time when we talk about crime, we're just talking about poor people trying to survive, and it's a very disingenuous label that makes them less makes anybody who's struggling less than a person who deserves dignity. We are also asking that Hollywood. And every place has the same mindset of defunding abolishing the bullshit within the realm. You operated. It's not just Hollywood. Kansas be like well. You know we paid for that that all black lives matter on Hollywood boulevard that we then let the city water fucking pressure. Wash out the second. The things ended. It's about looking at the levers you're at and what levers you can pull, so I'd rather hear what these three people who are very powerful in television and comedy. Saying actually you know what I realized I can now there is a way for me to completely flip the fucking tables here because I'm I'm at the table, but they just want to do. Getting rid of the black race clips. Jack. Can I tell you I am so fucking tired? Yeah. We do this every two years. Every two years. This one felt different for a second. We'll see what happens so fucking tired man. it. It's just it's always. Black folks getting murdered Queer folks. Maybe we don't have rights all the sudden and we don't know and then a button and this time we got lucky because this bunch of assholes decided that we get to have rights a couple of weeks ago. women. Are are talking about all of the stuff that happened in the workplace. So fucking tired. You guys like I I. Don't I wish that I had a more eloquent funny way to phrase? It and I probably will like literally three seconds after get up, but like I. said. Just, I A I I am at that intersection of like so many of these things worm dislike. I'm fucking exhausted. And I'm I'm. I like Tina. Fey I think she's very funny I think that she is a long had issues within a lot of people have said like that was the point of that character. Okay, cool. What about the other stuff? What about like like? You can say well. The point of care was that they were shitty. But why? There's a way to make jokes that reflect that the character is shit person. A way to make jokes where it's I just WanNa make that joke wind. Kimmy Schmidt was reduced. Whose name was Dong like that is. Like A and yeah. That character had agency and.

single very good it did finish with a couple of losses they were unable to get the number one seed in the Big East Tournament they were unable to claim on their own the big east regular season title they did share it though with Creighton Villanova what is the deal with Seton hall is very simple as much as you'd like to see a beat Creighton and beat Villanova well first it would be beating Marquette and then it would be beating Villanova probably and then it likely Creighton it is all about the NC double a tournament that's all it's about can these school that it will now make it for the fifth consecutive year and will likely get a very good seat they went out they could get a two they could get a free they're probably in that two three four range right now depending on what happens in the Big East Tournament but can they go on a significant Ron in the NC double a so we'll talk to Kevin Willard when he joins us in about thirteen or fourteen minutes you're mentioning a rod he was on late night TV last night with one of the Jimmy's Jimmy Fallon okay not Kimmel Fallon Jimmy Fallon right formerly of SNL right and he did ask him about potentially buying the New York Mets is it true that you are interested in buying the New York Mets that's a good question can't say in the in the envelope here's what it is I love New York City number one a lot of people don't know this who is a big Mets fan and with the exception of my daughter's birth both of them the best years of my life for nineteen eighty six and two thousand and nine when we won well first of all that meat Mets and loving is two thousand nine championship with the Yankees right exactly I will make another prediction Joe I do not think Alex Rodriguez will by the New York Giants I would be I think that it'll go over ten we J. long before he buys the Mets I'm maybe I'm nuts maybe I'm feeling optimistic it's March twelve my favorite times a year I'm feeling good I think Stevie Collins get into by animal rights good moment I think he's beautiful money's coming anyway let's hope you're right let's go to Mickey in Manhattan and he how are you Hey guys is always grateful to feel Hey perfect for them to take them back on that I will be the over a ten years but then again the verses and buying them that's the short yes on that yes yes but I do have a common and I have a question also fast so my timing to make it quick alternately you talking about the announcers and listening to the game on TV I have to be honest I catch almost every make game when they're on TV and depending on who's on are you might even go ahead and sh Kareem the opposite team the opponent team and listen to their cat why and this because I some of some people like Iraq when they're not in the game honestly can't stand them well usually with a ride you don't have much of a choice because what's on when it's on ESPN as you're the only ones doing it right and listening to the radio version which sometimes you I think the upright yeah but I think the probably the mill that B. dot TV you can sync it up I'm telling you there's a button yeah you can not with not with how it all right yeah yes you're not listening to the actual radio the B. dot TV I can link it up to how we how we it perfectly well here's the problem okay they are black out rules so they do it while in New York for most people you can't do much either special account you can do it that's why we got a special account I can't answer that but they need to they need to change that right I understand because it shouldn't be a space should be everybody this needs to change the blackout rules need to go away when you buy the NBA app or the MLB app or the NHL lap and even Sunday ticket you should not have to only be able to watch it on regular TV you should be able to watch it through the house I completely agree with that I'm also not statute big problem when that day will come Joe well it should say Thiago in Kearny New Jersey San Diago I will argue that they conflicted Michael anytime you know I love you I love you so much ma'am nope listen to you guys but I love you because you're just like me you say in the way it is I got a lot of people say a lot a lot a lot of knowledge of baseball if you will he does not he does not agree okay and then you're alright baseball like I Fabian of well bottom say not being a lesbian Apollo global people I don't care who they put in the a final regular sports that I don't like and there's a lot of my friends I don't like the NFL but the people hate a lot as a person you Hey what does a good job you understand I'm not in the game they are a lot of the people that I we I guess where and that's what I'm thinking about yes we can because the guy didn't want Israel acting began his gonna find out or not how many how many players the Yankees need to win a championship that's a trait they scared of competition or something since I'm able to set your Yankee fan so he's trained for knowing our not that's it you give it up on the occasion I'm all I'm all I'm a Yankee fan and I'm a baseball fan I do not like a baseball team for a start it doesn't give the competition I believe that you want something I understand you know I I'm very I have a headache I'm confused I respect you but I just don't understand like don't you want a championship I'm ready we have we've got plenty of superstars winter camp after bill or we have to do is you want we have been going there and played baseball the way the books he's traded for Roger Clemens after nineteen ninety eight they want a hundred and fourteen games won the World Series what happened we in no way that they traded for Roger Clemens he had been here being that the the European actually do something for the Yankees remember your claimant in the playoffs well yes I'll tell you yes I think I'll tell you why you're wrong respectfully I don't think necessarily the Yankees win the A. L. C. as in two thousand of Roger Clemens doesn't dominate the way he did in game four if I'm not mistaken is either four or five and one of the things Roger didn't at game he went up in on a rod early and he set the tone for that game so no you can look at nineteen ninety nine and say he didn't make an impact that's fine but what about two thousand what about the run of the World Series in two thousand one you can tell me Roger Clemens and have an impact on that if you say I just disagree with you and I get a you may not want to trade for Nolan arenado you may not want to give up prospects you may not want to add another star but you're literally gonna say I'm done with the Yankees if they traded for Nolan does it mean okay maybe you're right but that's what he said to me you know but that's what he said I'm sure he would show up there on what do you say what do you want to use right about Iraqis does knows baseball that he does now he's a visa sees definitely as a student base but if you trade for a rather than they could in the eighties and because basically the same yeah what's true city I go up to talk in a couple days to to really kind of go back to that because I think that that doesn't make any sense at all that's a good call Joe in Bloomfield Joe how are you Hey guys thanks for taking my call probability over once a week to two weeks man like the best weeks of the year and I just got back all I just want your guys thoughts on something the conference tournaments what do you think of them as a concept some people don't like them they say having the automatic bid on a three game winning streak is on there it takes away from the regular season it's a money grab on the other hand when I watch him the games are sold good what do you guys think you for the coverage I think they're complete money grab and I a really does bother me when you have a mid major what is only one B. and I team dominates the regular season and in may lose those saw me and I have a bad night and they lose to some you know second rate mediocre team and that team winds up to twenty yes that bothers me so definitely I believe it or not completely agree with you I completely agree with you and I've grown up on knowing nothing but basically this format and while the games are exciting and I will watch the games and I am into the games I don't think they're necessary at all no they're not all money bro to complete money grab I think what it is like you said it's unfair to the small fuels who earn their way through a rigorous regular season you win the regular season championship and a.

"Who has the highest q rating of any athlete in Chicago? Zeile number one of all of them. One time with that sign now only is it because of what he's done to this point. But also think about globally and in the city and the way the red Chicago Bulls jersey in the logo and everything being able to put a star player with what the bulls already have and the rich history that they possess. He will immediately vault to number one who he will be the most important sports figure in the city. He will be someone we will talk about each and every day off season or not. And it's just the way it would be. If we lands, I'm Williams, nobody puts the bears on TV because of Mitch Trubisky. It's because they're the bears. Right. You know, what's crazy Zion? Williamson has never played a game in the NBA. But he probably ready has a higher q rating than all. But maybe ten fifteen guys Duplin NBA. There's no. I guess this thing he's he's is this. I think this transcendental in the aspect that what he's going to mean to the sport very few guys come into any sport as a rookie and possess that. Cuyler murray. That's all know, they may want baseball player that was close to Bryce Harper and look at price Harper. He's face up the sport right alongside might Trump recognize I'm going to give you these names put him in order Khalil Mack havi bias, Kris Bryant, Patrick Kane. Zion Williams Zeile Williams woke up with the popularity level of the guys. You just mentioned he jumped out of a twenty story building. He's infinitely more popular nationwide than all of them. Okay. So that goes back to Larry wise, all the okay, then revise your statement, counselor can't begin to tell me that Derrick rose going to the bulls on draft night lottery backtracked. I what you're saying. I'm saying they're still infection of people that live in Chicago where we broadcast that Zion will never mean as much as their rosement to them. No matter what. Like, that's what I'm saying what Zion meant to people in the city. I it's just different in design Zaylon can to some people. It's Michael Jordan and right behind him. It's their grows for what he meant. That's all saying so Zion becomes the number one q rating athlete in Chicago sport. And it's not even close. It's not even close. You're talking about a team that will you'll have clear MAC like affect but about this. You know, what show he's going to be on Jimmy Kimmel Fallon co bear clear MAC at those shows he'll probably be store on Saturday Night Live that look to the sports fan, which we are. I this doesn't matter. But what you're talking about as curator? So yeah, I want to go to perform the more than anything. But if we're talking about curing. This guy's gonna host Saturday Night Live. He's going to be on the late night shows. He's going to pop up on TV. He's a bona fide star in the era where the athlete has just as much focus on the brand as they do the player, but keep in mind, this guy never got too far off the path of focus on what he needed to do. There was never anything that took his focus away from the sport at eighteen years old what he's asked to be everything he kept his nose clean out played ball. All never gave us the sound bite. That was controversial. So we could talk about his talking heads. He did everything the right way. So the crew cute rating and the projections we have it doesn't affect him. He just wants to be the best teammate approachable kid and has grown into a man. Who is a man has. It'd be one heck of a player. He's unflappable. It's incredible to see the expectation the media put on this guy and potential pitfalls that were front of and never wants to defaulter. We gotta take a fast time out and come back and talk to Kevin arnovitz of ESPN MBA analysts on the Eastern Conference finals and the general talk in the NBA. Plus, I have a question for you that I think you'll be surprised by the answer. It's about the warriors three one two three three two three seven seven six. We're talking some basketball next truecar ago. Is this your dream.

"Hunter is the we called the owner operator of the daily caller podcast. You can do that and lawyers would like that. Sure. And the author of outrage Anki is with the daily caller, of course. And he joins us on W art tonight. How are you, sir? I'm doing great. How are you guys are things up in New York? Oh, they're warm ish not seventy five like they are in Washington near you. But we'll we'll take anything over thirty at this point. So it's it's all it's all good. So many things going on that I wanted to talk to you about because you're like the Swiss army knife of guess where we can kind of talk to you about almost anything. And I guess the first thing that I wanted to tackle with you on in the media lane. Is this whole controversy that happened with FOX's Tucker Carlson? Obviously, you know, the story media matters does what they do best. They went back and found some old clips of Carlson talking to Bubba. The love sponge. He is a shock jock radio host. And there were comments on there that were misogynistic. They were insensitive some deemed embraces and down the line. Well, now the twist in this story is obviously that the media matters president the guy who runs that operation. Turns out that he has many blog posts that you can absolutely call anti semitic that you can also call a number of things in terms of talking about Jewish bags of gold, for instance. So that's not a good luck racist, transphobic, you name it young hit the the quad factor. There forget the fact he blew right past that. Yeah. The dream team of it. The the cycle in baseball term. Yeah. With the comments around transvestites, so one can say that the messenger is flawed at this point. Where does the Carlson story go because it seems like this kind of stopped at dead in its tracks. And it's going to be another example of media matters going after FOX, and then people realizing that this is simply selective outrage. Well, it is selective. Our always selective outrage. They they cherry pick certain things a half a sentence here. Full sentence there. They wait thirteen years as the case with Tucker Carlson. It wasn't as though Bubba. The love sponges, some obscure local radio show in the middle of Nebraska, nobody listened to and after years of research, they managed to find these clips he's very well-known in nationally syndicated. So it it was out there. It was known at the time. They just chose their moment to suit their needs. They had gone after Laura Ingram. It got sponsors to pull from her show. And then the hemorrhaging they're stopped, and she reversed it so they thought we've gotta try somebody else. Let's go with Tucker. They sat on it. And it was a WikiLeaks move. Right. Where they dripped out stuff each day to keep the keep the story moving. Right. It's actually the Andrew Breitbart move when big government, I launched they launched the the Baltimore acorn videos and everybody came out and said, hey, you know, this is one thing don't worry about it. And then the next day they had another city was too isolated, and they did seven straight days, if this to expose how the left was going to respond to they knew exactly. Exactly how they were gonna respond to it. Well, that's interesting thought they had the same sort of thing, drip, drip, tip ticker would probably cave right away and say, you know, these were jokes, and I'm sorry. And then they get him to do it. Again. It was death by a thousand cuts. Tucker did the absolute right thing. He said, I'm not going to apologize for this clearly jokes. And if you don't see that. And if you don't get that these thirteen years ago jokes on a shock jock radio show. Then the problem isn't mine. The problem is yours and that through them for a loop. Then the next day, you're right. When he went after cortisol. Weighty matters president. And there's a huge difference between saying something on a morning show with Bubba. The love sponge. You're not exactly expecting stimulating debate about the roots of Keynesian economics with the love spot and writing something down because writing is proof. Reading writing requires forethought. It requires action, and then it requires editing. There's a lot more to writing than simply saying joke off the that put media matters on the defensive and sort of put their tail between their legs were Tucker goes wrong, and I've told him this. He says what Sean Hannity says who I think is also wrong on this. I don't want to get anybody fired more voices and everything the better. Well, people our sponsors are are being chased off of Tucker show. Not nearly as many as like, but some have left you have to exactly the pound of flesh back from them or. They will keep doing it. If they pay no price for this type of fraud for this type of garbage. Then there is no incentive for them to not do it again. And again where with Derek hunter. Who is the host of the daily daily caller podcasts. It's daily daily confusing. And derek. But the fact remains though that Tucker Carlson said some objectively crude and offensive things in a public forum where he knew he was being recorded as you said, it was a nationally known radio show. And I'm not gonna go into what he said. But you you would agree that they were objectively crude and offensive things. I I would and I would follow that up with who cares? You know, what we're allowed to say objectively offensive things you're going on the love sponge if he said these in front of a class of third graders on career day. I would think that was inappropriate, but the audience can dictate and determine what is beyond the pale. But if I could just jump in real quick end lease. I know you have another question. I just want to add a thought to this. I went back, and I looked through every possible mechanism. You tend to see if there was one reaction to anything Carlson ever said, I'm Bubba the love sponge, and there's a lot of examples. Right. And. And I couldn't find one story of anybody objecting to what was said in my theory is that most of it was said while he was with MSNBC, and therefore that gives you a pass like a joy conversations, whereas latest two thousand fifteen and some of the. Just a we're not just about the words that were used the c word, for example. But they were about conversations about rate between a thirteen year old boy, an older woman on the public domain. Great. I will say that. There is a huge difference between what somebody says and what somebody does. And we're seeing on college campuses now and the generation coming out of college. And now, sadly, occupying slots in congress who equate words with violence words are decidedly not violence, and we need to draw a line there. You should be able to tell a joke that joke should be able to fall flat. And look, by the way, I have a theory on this by the way because I think that the left and the right? Most people objectively reject the thought police the fishing expeditions the offense archaeologists because with Kevin Hart. He made homophobic comments on on Twitter way back when and then he loses his Oscar gig. I we bought up at joy Reid before. Sarah, John with New York. Times made some horrible racist comments. And she was added to the editor Oriel board just last year. And I go back to the access Hollywood tape, but Trump, and I want to get your thoughts on this. But when that came out, and it didn't destroy his candidacy, I think people didn't like the fact that this was a private conversation. He thought he was having and then to use this as a weapon, I think people say, you know, what I'm guilty of this. I'm guilty of something saying something like this in private, and that's why it didn't resonate the way. It did everybody has said horrible awful things to their friends. That's part of the beauty of friendship and at the end of the day. They're just words if there were example, after example of Donald Trump, offering involuntary hernia exams to women in the public domain than absolutely. It would have ruined him. But we all recognize that talk is just talk, and we need to get back to accepting it. Derek? He won't apologize are back down from what he said. So isn't it fair then for us today as consumers of media to seem that he stands by those statements today stands by jokes? Sure. Absolutely. Everybody thinks their own jokes are funny. And some people are sick and tired of being beat about the head and neck with a dead fish by the left, and they say, you know, what I'm not gonna play this game anymore. That's more in the bane of it. Tucker would not sit around like I said and give a speech on career date, some elementary school kids, talking the way he talked to Bubba the love spot, and it could be worse. He could have been joy Reid talk. Derek and said that time traveling hackers went back and change what she said. At least doesn't get mad about joy. Okay. Did we ever go? Get the results of that FBI wiry. No. I haven't seen that. That's right because she went to the fence. I forgot about that. Anyway, which we had more time. But we don't he is the host of the daily daily caller podcast and the author of outrage Inc. Derek thanks so much Derek. Thank you guys. And when we come back lease at the top of the hour. We're definitely gonna discuss President Trump going off on the late night talk show hosts call bear Kimmel Fallon saying that they are fighting for scraps and without him. They'd be on the unemployment line. We discuss on seven ten w o r. Whatever you dream up party said he will help you bring it to life. So this ain't Patrick's Day get all the green you need like festive, hats, beads, and tease. You'll also find new plaid kilts blazers and ponchos.

"Know? There was and herring. You know? Always resonates in the hearing basically owned up to his black face. He was like, yeah. I was in black face to. So all of these people are caught up in black face. And I think over her you guys you being Jalen com. Who else was caught him face? Fallon and Kimmel Fallon and Kimmel. Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel. Skits. Oh, she starts. See how she starts? Senate candidate lifting the base. Accused. Comedy excuse black face. I guess let's put that on on the point that they're trying to make if they're pointing fun pointing fun, but like actually calling out other people doing it. I don't have an issue. I didn't we have a conversation about this before Grenadians. We say raises, you know, the big new. But now this is the problem. Yeah. That's why when I heard it was a skit I was like, okay. When it was gay. Oh is that what it is? Yeah. You're right. Well, m what the fuck and DJ inconsistent right whoever she's talking about right now. Whoever who is it apply. It was raised to because when people arguing I swear it was race. But I can't I don't wanna speak on when he's not here to defend himself. So we'll hold that. Until next next. I'll be quitting. My. We're here. Whoever it applies who much shit. Tag. What I said. Okay. So. You said you said you did it. Like like, what are you? What are you trying to set? What are you implying? I'm implying that it's only a problem when it's race related. And for example, if a comedian said something that has something to do with LGBT hate or something like that. Then it's fine. And I think that that's because a lot of people straight black men or other people who are straight or whatever it doesn't apply to them. So they don't have a problem with it. And basically, my point is a lot of people don't feel like issues are necessarily a problem if it doesn't apply to them. So do you think anybody on this podcast don't care about gays us? I don't know supp- free to define that for yourselves. Wow. What does the wow part off thought we all care about gays us here in this podcast? I think she's just making show almost I'm all do what you do. Out never said it. I don't care about the issues. I do care about gays you. Okay. That's good. I'm a straight straight black, man. Congrats. Okay. I just wanna make that clear. Say you'll be saying. Claire case clarification, can I speak only for me him and show only solely for me. I think the distinction that was being made at the beginning was separating gate issues from race issues, which you've had admitted that you do that was the part where my. Kind of joke starting in right, right? I got to you. And you already know that I don't agree with that. So there's no point rehash the other part. Got. No, I'm good. Gay people. Way. So so yes. Northern was funny because he basically pull the trout, right? Where he was he basically wanted to just did not deny, you know. I'm looking at the photo. I can't tell because all our teeth. Does that like him? I don't know to whole we talking about northern. I don't even know who this guy is or do. I know there's no way Thailand. Could be. Yeah. That's good. Some good makeup. Where's your polish? Okay. There are more old drunks old doctors in this world. I think I have another beer. A modern. So so anyway, I think all this black-faced of coming out. And of course, Gucci had their thing with this weather. To think it was intentional wait before we answer this question. Let's just look at some photos Austin, the photos have you seen all of the photos of the girl Prada, Montclair and Gucci. Okay. I just want you to just between the two photos. You got gotta flip this way to see. They've been doing stuff like those puppets you ever seen those puppies that looked like these they've been doing that. I'm surprised nobody's been wearing sock puppets. No, no. So they've had sought puppies. They have like the big rail lips. Emmy black. It is might hit his it is they've been doing that for a while. But nobody's no. They have not been doing this for a while. Not that not the I'm talking about the puppet thing the doll the puppet fifties. So you're saying that they're not the only ones that make that puppet. And. Talking about these little these little picking anything. These are recent at the bottom. I don't wanna fall for fake news because job in doing that shit. This whole podcast. I don't know about these two. I don't know about this tried area right here. But I know that this one, and this jacket Israel jacket is ru I'd have to see that shit in the cattle jacket. I'm hold on. I think it was not. I don't wanna miss speak people been doing those dolls for a while. Not just whoever whatever Denny's, right? Days crackle. Hasim? People do still do those type of things. But the the new the sweater thing. That's new I'm not, I don't know. I've seen a Cadillac before. I fall for it. I'm not gonna jump out the window because that that's a bit much for the. Yeah. "The colts win and secondly because the saints have never been there I good story after Katrina and spending a season you know away from home team has an impressive defense and typically when you have such a high powered offense you're lacking in defense not always right but the colts are ranked eighteenth in team defense and the saints ranked twenty fifth neither has a flashy defense right and I'm not GonNa go into passing defense and rushing defense because both of them the colts and the saints or mid to bottom of the barrel there so when you slice this up any which way the New Orleans saints are not the underdog this coming weekend they've had the better team all year he asked the colts a wonderful record the colts had a wonderful winning streak smashing those winning streak of my New England Patriots but the Colts very easily could have lost seven or nine more games they came from behind it shows it's a testament do their team it it shows just how good Peyton manning can be that just like a Tom Brady you're just not out of the game the mentally peyton manning is the kind of guy with his talent with his raw passion can bring a team to the next level and come up with those big place in Brady did not do that this year but even you look at his history it is kind of a guy like now I'm Boston Guy Right so I'll bring this name up like a Doug Flutie Doug flutie whether you love them or hate him in the NFL doug Ludi had the kind of talent and personality that made everyone around him believe believe that they could win and that they would win and Peyton Manning's dot kind of guide to I don't think that's true drew brees I think that the saints are certainly running on past yes the colts are in the Super Bowl and they've been in the super bowl before right so that is an advantage I'll give you that I mean there's some mental game there but let's face the colts beat a very subpar bears teed a couple years back the New Orleans Saints Don't have that playoff experience like the colts or the being able to win the big game experience as a franchise as the players there's a lot of players on both teams that are both new and that are both veterans playoffs drew brees knows how to win big games he is not an bad guy so I throw this out there at you the saints is much as everyone around here wants to root for them and that's great to root for them I'm rooting for him to they're not the underdog the colts are I'm hoping for a good game on to NBC in the late night debacle I tell you I've been if you follow the twitter feed I've been defending Jay Leno and I and I think that's fair I really don't believe the he's the bad guy this I don't necessarily think he's a good guy either Conan is certainly not the innocent bystander there's just good guys and bad guys all around at the end of the day I agree wholeheartedly that Conan got screwed and I think that given time Conan and would have really brought the tonight show back to its glory I really do believe that I think in the short term NBC made the right decision because Leno is going to bring them the ratings that Conan is not unfortunately here's here's the at the end of the day this is the thing that worked against Conan the most NBC is not in a position shen to be able to think long term if you start looking at a couple of years from now and especially five ten years down the line they made the absolute wrong they needed to keep Conan O'Brien they screwed that one for their long term success unfortunately now they're in a position where they cannot string think strategically they have to be tactical they have to think long term they are a sinking ship they have to sure up the problems of today and in the short term the next eighteen months twenty four months Jay Leno is their answer so I think that at the end of the day is really what hurt cone most because of NBC really was thinking long term they would've kept coating and I love the fact that these they're repeating CONAN right now in the tonight show spot because there are dozens of that so today I had seen and they're they're very good I mean there's been a battle on the web right Conan's not really funny Conan is funny I happen to think he's very funny Finley's talented I think that there's a lot that he did on late night that doesn't transfer over to tonight and he did make a lot of changes and he just needed to find his way so I wish coating good luck I really hope he comes back gangbusters in September I think he'll do better personally on a cable network Mark Levin on Fox but we're ever goes I hope he comes back and he kicks up and that'll be a testament to him I will say something real nitpicky for the Jay Leno show because I think Jay swannee I like jake fashion meal you want for that yes he's old yes he's different right the set and his whole opening montage see cuts I hate it absolutely atrocious it turned me on breath to the Leno show just from a visual aspect the tonight show visually stellar outstanding use of color I use some shapes and imagery I thought the set was absolutely wonderful I think it was one of the best night kind of talk show sets that I've seen letterman's kind of standard into the same thing for years and years nothing that great it works for right it's not often all right Leno's was awful kimmel fallon the other guys the tonight show set was spectacular they really the bill and I think that helped pride in Jay's problem I mean if you're already visually turned off to it it's it's not gonNA help right that was not the jail shows problem that's why they had their demise but didn't help hey the Olympics coming up opening ceremonies February twelfth I'm very excited for this I have two young sons a nine year old and a seven year old and they were just massively into the Winter Olympics last time around Shaun white really one my boys over and what's funny is now at this age four years makes a huge difference because they barely remember the last Olympics they remember bits and pieces at first asked my older son really remember Shaun white men as he watched some of the footage we've been watching some interviews and things I think it was sixty minutes or something the other night twenty twenty I don't remember now that had a piece on Sean light and it was pretty cool and it really jog the memory of mine a nine year old so they're very excited about the Olympics they if you've been listening to me for a little while you know that they are both becoming big into hockey he grew up in the Boston area as you know so I am a bruins fan but we also route very heavily here in my house for the San Jose Sharks I love the sharks it's one of those things where the kids are grown up sharks fans they also love the Bruins you know so they do root for author loved watching the winter classic with the Bruins in it but we are sharks fans here as well and because of that they're very excited Olympic hockey my oldest son is determined to watch every team USA game we'll see if we can get that done for him you know in the days of DVR's and Tivo it's a lot easier so we are very much looking forward to the Olympics in my house hey the grammys I don't normally watch award shows but we watched my wife and I watched the grammys this past weekend I like to watch the Oscars it's a little bit you know we watch bits and pieces of the different shows the grammys was a fun show it was like a big concert which makes it a lot of fun there were some wonderful performances their pink outstanding I just love her voice I love the power and thanks to a lot of her other songs and not the song that she sang on the grammy's but the song she sang she she was absolutely.
