"This you have your flaws. You had your weaknesses. Do your strengths override those flaws and weaknesses. So we're going to say that. His shortcoming is literally his size or his lack of speed. Then he has timing dissipation. He has to be great with his mind. He has to be outstanding with his work ethic thinking his craft in his vault placement. I've been on your show. A thousand times talking about baker mayfield has elite ball placement so those things are going to make up for it as well if we're going to talk about contracts with baker mayfield the question to ask in. There's four tiers of quarterbacks. We started this last year. Hembo and i quarterback you win because of quarterback you win with quarterback you win in spite of a quarterback. You can't win with baker. Mayfield is a quarterback that you will win a lot of football games with And that's the list of quarterbacks you win because of what you're saying is a very small group. I understand so to compare the aaron rodgers. And tom brady might not be reasonable. So we've got ourselves a little one on one side and one on the other kimberly martin. Which side are you on. I listen. I think baker has done a good job. The browns more importantly are all in on baker. The question is when this will get done. Not if it'll get done. They want to extend them but they have other guys as we talked about earlier in the show you know. They've got denzel award. They've gotten a chubb. They've thought wyatt teller other guys that they have to address their contract situations. They did pick up bakers fifty option. They are committed to baker now. You can't blame the browns if they said you know what we're going to table this for right now. We're not going to get anything done before the season but at the end of the day balls out the browns of wanna have that problem. They are fine pay. Qb.

"As things to work on. And i seen the talent that people were talking about exact wilson. But but y'all like this. I i did it. The valuation happens guys get broken down. Today today's brake pads and they'd a worse football player before the draft. And then you mold them up to be that guy. But i just remember coming off an nfl season where we were talking about. Guys like justin fields taken the jong. We were looking at justin herbert. We were looking at josh allen. We were looking at a lotta guys with flaws with these physical attributes that went into the. Nfl took him a couple of a little bit to develop but then we saw what they could do because of that other part of their game. And that's being uber athletes. So look zack. Wilson has had his pro day. I'll be super interested after just a field perform at his pro day. If any of this tune changes 'cause to me he's been the second quarterback in this draft again fields today. David looks like if a quick comment super-quick go. Here's the thing markets you keep bringing up big ten in the competition. He's also playing with a stacked deck. He's got better. Listen i think dwayne haskins is a comparison. That's gonna be brought up with justin fields to you're playing with such an elite level of talent compared to everybody else. Yeah you're going to put up big numbers. I think justin feels is great but also think you need to look at that to every week is is an advantage for you because you point with coach is a great osi and better skill than everybody in the league in and even close. That's one of the big question marks people will put on there. We'll come back to that in a few minutes. Meanwhile graziano i feel like for a while. The question was will the jets. Use a quarter used at number two. Pick on a quarterback or stay with sam darnold. That doesn't seem to be a question anymore. So happens to darnold now. Yeah look the jets are out trying to get something of value for darnell. They've had conversations with teams for a while. Now we heard kimberly martin.

"Retire here and so again. Kimberly martin bring you when you covered that game and you've got that sense. That was a that was a big deal to them. And so how big a deal should we make of the pouncey retirement. As far as big. Ben's future it's huge. It's huge. You talked about the window that the steelers seem to have and before my tanenbaum goes on his victory lap a little bit her been office burgers play. Ben is not looked good. And the fact that you remove markey's pouncing who i was. I thought that ben and marquees would actually give it another year together. I was completely wrong. The pouncey brothers bow that changes the dynamics for bent because he wants to play. But having to you know this whole offensive line is in flux having to build that chemistry beckham rotary that cohesion. With a new center. There are other questions on the offensive line whereas villain going. Is he staying. That's a big deal for the steelers. I don't know what their plan b. is you can say. Okay we'll go one more year with ben but you can make a case that really pouncey and all. These other moves that they're going to have to make should speed up our dismissal of ben like we should move on. We should reset that clock now and find the heir apparent. Is it a bridge guy. Like a sam darnold. Is it a qb in the draft In the first or second round so seals have a lot of decisions to make. It's an interesting way of looking at it. i'll let you talk about his victory lap. Was he projected that benz play would fall off substantially and proved to be right but bart. I didn't get to talk to you about this earlier on the program when we were covering this story. What is your sense of. What is in the best interest of the steelers right now. Short term and long think right now to run it back right. I think we all agree. That been isn't the same quarterback that he used to be. He's not willing to stand in a pocket and take those hits like you used to you know when players get later in their career. They're not willing to take the hits because they're thing about life. After football you think about the the injury list of been in what he's been through his career. But i think penalty did him a favor right because he put a lot of money back in the pot you know now they have cheese to put on other people's taco you know make hispanic only making two million dollars a year. They gave up a lot for him. It's time.

"Shea. Cornet and jordan cornet fill and in this morning and right now we're gonna go to washington because espn nfl reporter. Kimberly martin joins the show and kimberly. Good morning to you. Thank you for getting up early with us. I am sure it has been one of those whirlwind weeks for you. Not only is it between the holidays and we're all unsure what day of the week it is but it has been something to talk about with the washington football team to say the least so. I know you covered that game this weekend. The washington football team against carolina. Did you have a sense that the organization was ultimately going to make this move and releasing haskins at the end of the day and the end of the day. no at the end of the season. Sure you know before that game. I spoke to join in on the phone on saturday. And i spoke to ron rivera before the game sunday morning. And you know at this point. Dwayne was saying all the right things. As far as you know wouldn't mean everything to me told me. I mean everything to me to go out to start to help his team win and hopefully clinch A playoff spot Ron rivera said you know. I have no trepidation. Starting dwayne if it comes to that but we all know rivera would have rather started out myths We did not expect the the released this quickly. But i think dwayne haskins piranha clinic as to on how to ruin. You know a young football career very early. And that's unfortunate. Very unfortunate to see kimberly. How much does this decision to release haskins in only to reveal. Just how much power. I guess so to speak coach. Rivera truly has within the organization. They're tiny he got here it. It was rivera show and i think when he came and talked to the owner. Dan snyder she said i want. If you want me to rebuild the culture. I i'm gonna have to do that and so from day one. He pretty much. Had you know veto power. It was his decision to keep haskins. But what. I what i will say is always watch. What coaches do not what they say but like rivera always said For the most part positive things about swaim She even this week when we had his second code violation you know. He got frustrated with the media. So stop asking me questions about this. We have a very important game but behind the scenes frustration during you know various tenure here prostration with haskins as far as saying the right thing saying he wants to be the starter and the die but not putting in the work Not being self aware. Obviously the only the second colbert violation as proof that he's a twenty three year old young man who does not understand what's at stake And not just from a standpoint With his head coach being immuno-compromised but also the the time all the team is tried to make a playoff push limited division and after loss. You're out maskless and not really thinking about the bigger picture but rivera has had a lot of say. And i think going into this game. He thought dwayne would give them a better chance to win. And taylor heineke. We saw in the fourth quarter. That was not the case. And that's why. Dwayne doesn't have a job at this moment. Yes no doubt about it. We're talking to kimberly martin. Espn nfl reporter. She covered the game The washington football team against the carolina panthers over the weekend she follows this team really closely And so it looks like it's either going to be alex smith or taylor heineke this weekend so we know what we know about alex smith before we get into his status for the game on sunday. What can you tell us about taylor. Heineke like what is he as a quarterback what is a person. What can you tell us. He's he's he's he's the all and he's inexperienced but you know he he's somebody who clearly in in that moment of a game where you're thinking you go into that game you're like well they can't replace taylor you. They can replace. Dwayne haskins taylor like this guy you know. He's got like an engineering degree from old dominion. Like what are you like. Why would but he came into that game through touch like like and rivera called a gutsy his play. He called gutsy because it came off. The bench was not expected to play In a game that was felt like it felt like carolina was up forty to nothing at points and he came into that game and for a second. Even though you knew they weren't gonna win in the fourth quarter you felt like whoa there. Mountain comeback okay. They've got some life And that's somebody that you can at least try to win with but yeah just inexperience. Obviously you know He was in the nfl Doesn't have a ton of nfl experience. But he's got that attitude like. Hey i've got nothing to lose and with this washington team. I think you can at least try to win with that okay. So what is the status. For alex smith then for sunday as of now you know they're gonna they're gonna hope they're hoping that he's ready to go They optimistic last week that his cast would be sore but he woke up. Saturday and just did not feel right Rivera said was close last week. And he's optimistic heading into this week. He's got several more days to less the cap to test it out But they're hanging their hopes on alex smith being able to go. So we'll see i guess. I guess we will see kimberly before. I let you go. I'm just curious. Because i probably in the minority. But i do hope the dwayne haskins finds a way on another nfl roster and does do things right way and this can all be putting the rear view and he learns from the not one but several mistakes. He has made that. Being said kimberly. I'm curious 'cause you again like she said you cover this team closely. You were there this game. What was the vibe. You got in terms of teammates in washington that were in his corner How did they overall feel about him on.

"Up on sunday and for that. Let's go on the clock. We'll look at some of the bigger games and rodney bitch. I'm starting with you thirty seconds on the clock bills cardinals who was the most important player on the field in that game. Rob go won't be just one player. It's going to have to be the front of the buffalo defense trying to contain collar. Murray the guy is so fast if he gets on the edge. Don't let them do this where he started started going to your ain't gonna stop me too fast. So whoever's responsible of trying to keep him contain keep him in the pocket because he's not super tall. He's not six to east five ten. Maybe and if you keep them in the pocket gives you the best chance to at least make him throw from the pocket make him earn it throwing the football not running. I doubt it could be an interesting little stretch for buffalo here with a statement went over seattle. Maybe they do it this weekend as well. Kimberly martin with us this morning. Seahawks rams kimberly. Who is the most important player on the field. Goal tyler lockett in the slot. That is the match of seattle exploit because they decay. Metcalf is gonna get jalen ramsey. So what does that mean tyler. Lockett packs to beat troy till in the slot for this passing game to go. Russell can do it all but he shouldn't have to any needs to be able to trust. The tyler can be that trust the guy at any moment and the defense is gonna let down offense. So i need tyler lockett a step up i get it in any of us. Who played the daily fantasy on weekends. We know we met in the next week so we had the big week last week. It's not a bad idea to keep an eye on lock. It this week are are. Your game has texans browns. Who's the most important player on the field goal. Most important players jarvis landry and that's because he seems to be baker mayfield security blanket even when no. Del beckham junior's out on the field when he needed clutch plays when he had to be sure that he had a receiver he could trust. it was jarvis. Landry go back to the las vegas raiders game.

The cousins easily overpowered the team and forced her into Angelo's Car Kimberley's naked strangled body was found the next day she'd been dumped on a hill that face Los Angeles City, hall a Middle Finger to the authorities who were so desperate to stop their killing spree. The investigators heard the message loud and clear and might have hoped that the killers obvious arrogance would cause them to trip up somewhere and it seemed Angelo. Felt. The same way Kenny was getting reckless Angela felt uncomfortable with the increasing attention on the case in particular he was frustrated by Kenny's shortsighted plans ordering a call girl using a payphone was a good idea in theory but anyone who is at the library when they made the call could easily identify them on top of that Kenny gave Kimberly the chance to scream for help in a crowded apartment building, which could. Have Spelled Disaster Angeles anxieties proved prescient when investigators showed up on Kenny store step, the escort service Kimberly worked for had given the police the address she was sent to making everyone in the building a suspect luckily for him. Kenny had a natural charm and made it through the interview unscathed. He admitted hearing screaming that night but told investigators that domestic disputes were the norm in the building so he ignored the commotion. While Kenny was proud of his performance Angelo was less than impressed. It was he who so carefully covered their tracks after each murder but Kenny was reckless to a fault he frequently pocketed their victims possessions and openly discussed news of the murders with his coworkers and family and inexplicably Kenny went on a ride along with the LAPD and asked questions about the hillside strangler the whole time it was clear to Angelo that his cousin was becoming a liability Kenny's careless behavior might have been a symptom of antisocial personality disorder though. "Thank you so much for joining us this morning. No, problem. Taking. You to have the perspective of a guy that played for bill ballot check now that about to do the same but let's go back to another quarterback. The comments, his thoughts on cousins guys obviously the the takeaway line yesterday if I die I die essentially talking about if he were to contract Kobe. And Damian and Kimberly Martin joined his last hour essentially said it might have been taken out of context because cousins is a man of faith and he's saying that this is beyond me if it's time to go, it's my time to go that sort of thing What do you think about it because let's be honest in two thousand, twenty context is loss people see that on their phone and immediately it's like I thought this was a good guy. Now he's saying this you know what I? I kind of. Feel the same way based on, understand his information understanding the context of now. Right? I'm like, okay. I, get it. I feel the same way like. If it's meant to be, it's meant to be I can't put when you say it right? Along the way, say the mask is doesn't do that kind of Tylenol at in made you go what are you do it but I understand where he's coming from with certain things certain things out of your control. So why worry about it I get that I understand he just said it in when he said it, it just was like it was clunky. Didn't. It didn't come across the right way wholeheartedly I agree with key. I. Also think though there's a problem within the media sometimes and obviously we all know the words Click Bait and you know you say a like that you can't really say a line like that if you do the kind of repeat the question. In your answer to a degree, which is something that I've learned how to do interviews now, right? Because Shave that out to what I'm saying like. So something a small snippet it's peeled out of there and they'll send that becomes a headline and the have millions of people that react on that we ask them to spot, right Right you and I'm like. Well, we don't really understand context joking. But we live in a cancer culture. Now guys where it takes one little small instance. If you don't have context people just jump on you and then you're almost deemed guilty and the Public Court of law said of being innocent until proven guilty the the only thing out of all that that I still have a problem with is about the mass. Great like. Other than that it. The way he feels about it is cool. I understand. But when you start talking about the mass doesn't help help the situation then I. I i. don't know that I know the guys in the white coats with a pins in their pockets or telling me to where the man that's what hide knows. So therefore, I'm calling to where the damn asking I want you to wear the mask if you're going to be in my locker room and around me at all times and when you're not around me I, want you to wear it because when you come around me, I need to know that you were wearing the mask. That's it other than that it's going the poodle I'm with keyshawn. I'm with. I'm we're we're attached at the HIP. It just to provide some context though it's confusing out there for people. It's like there's so much who is masks not mass depending upon what day you reading? What article who had region you're? In you're listening to is so spaced out there somebody will this one is labeled this or that's labeled that way it's it's a crazy world that we live in. So benefit of the doubt for Kirk cousins. Fair enough remember the last thing the experts said omission games. The expert didn't say where mask initially they're saying where now. So you're right. We're learning new things all the time still to come a title contender with a huge mountain to climb for a spot in the conference finals, a team that has never been or won the NBA Finals Barkley says they're about to get swept does key and Jay. Think this team has any.

"Well. I think the thing they have to worry about is who's the third score behind a Lebron. We know Lebron's going to do his job and when they put him up at the point and he starts running those cuts. That's when they're at their best Sean mentioned the movement of Anthony Davis off the ball and on the ball. But who's the third score that's going to help them get through? Is it going to be by committee? Is it going to be the veteran? Danny Green won a championship with Toronto last. Last year, those are the kinds of things I'm looking at, and the other thing is perimeter defense avery Bradley. You can't stress enough how much they miss him when they're guarding on the perimeter there also with Rondo out. So those are some of the things that I wonder aloud about, and some of them can be fixed and some of them like Avery Bradley cannot be fixed foreign of it's been a long time since I've seen you real quick. Where are you right now? Lakers clippers or somebody else in the West. I am leaning towards the clippers, but I think the margin has shrunk in the western conference as much as we talk about it being La's race in the western conference teams like Denver where playing without two of their top three scores that you have to keep an eye on and I think the Houston Rockets and the small ball seems to be working really well I. Think it's going to be really exciting because where we thought this was a wide gap when the league. League, shutdown back in March I think has narrowed quite a bit. We'll keep an eye on this guy, sit tight. We'll get to the matchup up of the rookies last night, we had Zion against jaw on the floor last night in the bubble, get to that coming up in just a few minutes, but to football go and to Tampa where what a site it is to see again, the first open workout for this year's Buccaneers, which means Tom Brady and rob Gronkowski in their new gear. Something, you'd have to get used to seeing these pictures are from this morning, Brady, looking to get the buccaneers back to the playoffs for the first time since two, thousand seven, and that is Brady working out and again in the Tampa Bay gear. Here's my football crew for the morning. Let me see them. That's all we got Tim. Hasselbeck we've got jeff Saturday and Kimberly Martin who were here this morning at Tim. Let me just start with you quickly. Just first glance first time. We're actually seeing brady in these new colors, which the I thought that goes through your mind. It's weird. It's strange to see it and I know that we've seen him working out. You know kind of on his own, but to see kind of the official start you know if you will. It's really kind of remarkable. You know rumblings about it, but now we're GONNA. Get to see it, and this really is the first step of the journey. Of Tom Brady. You know doing something other than what we've seen him doing New England I'm really interested to know what it is like for folks waking up honestly in Boston and all places around they're seeing Tom Brady in different uniform. It's it's got to be an unbelievable experience. Meanwhile, I want to get right to the meat of the matter here. This morning, we have some very interesting quotes coming out of Brady's division. He comes from a place that he has basically owned the. AFC. East his team didn't talk. Talk any trash and no one said anything about him that has definitively changed. These are comments yesterday from Cam Jordan of the New Orleans Saints always quick with a word, and he said of the Buccaneers, they've got second greatest quarterback of all time. Right behind drew brees, and now we've got a head to head two times a year. We've got our work cut out for us, and then they have an addition to bring in Rob Gronkowski Leshan McCoy. Already had two thousand yard receivers. This is a team that's fighting for second place I'll remind you these two teams meet up week. One of the season in New Orleans Kimberly Martin, what do you think of the comments? Can Jordan King of backhanded compliments. I absolutely love it because honestly when you're looking at this team, if you're the saints, are you really scared? By the bucks no offense to the bucks. Me Martin I'm hyped to see the bucks. But if you're the saints, you've owned the division, you ev every other team is fighting for second place. He's right. What everybody's talking about Tom Brady. Wash Rob Gronkowski wash. The Shawn McCoy was enacted for the Super Bowl. So honestly, I'm not surprised that Cam Jordan is saying that the saints or the team that he's got the best quarterback Jeff, you know a little bit about what it's like to compete against Tom Brady with a quarterback everyone's comparing him to all those years you did that with Peyton Manning, what do you think? I love what Cam Jordan said I would. I would actually say that if we're going on Cam Jordan, he's actually the third best because I put Peyton manning above as well. I've had this argument, my whole career, and even in the media asking about the Tom, Brady has the best had the best career. I absolutely divest quarterback. No, I'm going. Peyton, manning. So we'll drop drew be raised a to camelback and have a little argument on that a couple of days have. Have Fun with it, but I love we got excited. You always have the debate of quarterback. He gets too much credit and too much blame, and in my opinion I, love what he said he's getting fired up this bulletin board material for the bucks and for time which again you said earlier, he has not had a lot of, but I love her I'm willing to excuse that if nothing else based on the grounds of friendship and other things, Tim Hasselbeck your thoughts. Well, I think Jeff Saturdays trying to protect his invite to the hunting trip every year. What's going on now? I. mean. I do think we we give quarterbacks. You know maybe a little too much credit for. postseason wins, and all of that, maybe if you had a better supporting calf. Jeff. got. Done. Here's what I literally. I saw these comments from Cam Jordan, I, actually thought it was a joke. I. Thought. It was like I was dying to hear the tone of it as I read it because I'm thinking. It's funny and yes. His Guy, you should do that. But the reality is that you know the box aren't the bucks that that Cam, Jordan this group has faced in the past they're just not. Group, with Gronkowski, with Tom Brady, and so you know this idea that they're definitely, secondly, I picked the saints to win the division, but it's not going to be an easy run through Tampa. Bay. That's for sure these teams as I mentioned, they play forty days from right now in New Orleans, the saints are a four point favorite right now, kimberly, as you handicap the situation, you pointed it. It out. Yeah. People were ready to write off. Brady GRONK had been retired for a year. They Bring Shady. He didn't play in the super. Bowl. But these are names at least on the backs of the jerseys. Everybody knows. Do you expect the buccaneers to be much better than they work? Because this was a team that if they throw half the pick through last year, probably makes the playoffs. Yeah, why were the bucks intriguing last year because you turn on the game and you didn't know what James Winston was going to do. Now, you have a hall of fame type quarterback running the offense. Yes. You may not be the same guy, but Brady, he's fired up. He's he knows that people are looking at him and wondering has he really lost a step campbelltown Tampa, Bay bucks really do it this year I. Think this team is much improved the defense on a Todd Bowles much-improved Bruce Arians has Tom Brady. Mike Evans, have a guy that's gonNA throw the ball accurately downfield. This team they're loaded NAM excited. Jordan also one more time. Those pictures that you're seeing are from this morning, that is Brady and you saw gronk there as well as for the first time you have Saturday who got and that NFC South Bucks Saint. I'm actually going buccaneers I. Think they shocked the world here. I listen I, I, think when you talk about what they're going to do and Tom Brady coming in there, it's exciting. Be a bruce. Arians. He knows how to get guys motivated you. Tom Brady knows get guys motivated. You generally just made a great point about todd, Bowles in that defense of what they're gonNa, do and again you said earlier, you limit the turnovers even from last year, it's a playoff football. Football Team, so I like to shake it up a little bit saints have been I. Still Think Saint's make the playoffs that's going to be a great run by both of these, I think St. start a little faster early in the season. But I think as you push through I think I think Tom Brady. And the buccaneers end up taking that it'd be. It's going to be a lot of fun to watch quickly Tim, Buck, saints NFC South, who he got. I've picked the saints. With this bizarre off season, the continuity and the carry over for that team. That's really hesitant to roster means a lot and I think that you know Brady's experience will certainly help minimize kind of the newness of the situation and missing time. But I just think when you're a team that has carryover with so many veteran players in the same system for a long time..

"You have no idea what a big deal this is, and at the time you know I kinda got it, but I really didn't get it until I got into the role. Talk to people you know Joe became more active and ate pse kind of saw how things were, and just you know. Why is it this way you know I'm certainly not the only black woman capable of running a sports department, or so many Oba, so you know I try to do my part on this just by you know talking young journalist. Try People might want to go into media. You know because you know it's not an easy time for industry right now and you know people ask you if you want to go in the field, you just have to tell them just how important their voice is how we need their voice. You know for that balance perspective that I was talking about, but now in just writing I kinda talk to people about. Have you ever thought about becoming an editor? And when I go to talk to college kids. It's very interesting my first question when I go in there. You know people tell them all about you know. This jobs I've held but I always kinda ask them. How many of you in here? One of the editors and you know kids raise their hands. It's always zero, and so I try to just kind of talk to him a little bit about editing because and being newsroom leader, because it's not a glamor position right and you go into this. You know you WANNA be on podcast. You WanNa be on TV. You want to be a writer. You WANNA debts. The kind of the job that you've seek because that's more of a glamorous job but I try to talk to them about how important it is to have black journalists and journalists of color in these leadership positions, because not only. Are you going to be making decisions? Decisions for hiring people in your departments. Your shaping the coverage is shaping the stories. You know you're assigning what's important and I think it's so important to have us in these roles, so it's a problem that's been around for a while. It's nothing that's GonNa Change overnight and I you know I don't know how much progress I'm even see during my presidency, but it's not something I've ever been to stop fighting and trying to change you know. I've seen this. This isn't just a one year. Thing I'm doing. You know I've been in pse since twenty eleven, I'm staying a pse, and it's always going to be something. That's important to me and I'm. GonNa try to change. One by one whatever I can do. Lisa One sort of ask you a question. Off this, that's sort of always been Maybe puzzling is not the right word to me. One of the things that we see in a sports context. Is You know the? The rate of NFL owners hiring coaches of color is awful and you know the. There's a lot of really smarter people than me who sort of tried to. Figure, out what it is, it institutional racism is. Is it something else? And Jim Trotter couple of times say you know one big issue is that the the owners are never around the coaches of color, and what they ultimately end up doing is picking someone who is Who looks like them or is within their circles in his closer to them so something that I've sort of always wondered is. And I don't know if it's as simple as the fact that because it's, it's people in management positions who are white, usually white males, and they hire people who look like them, or who remind them of them, but why, in two thousand and twenty has the sports media business not at a point where there are more people of Color, particularly women of Color in management. Positions like. Anybody who's just being honest with themselves knows it's a problem but the real. Question is why is it a problem? And then if you figure that out, you could sort of change the you could change the numbers here. I think it's a lot of what you said. Just the people who are making these positions just. Sometimes you. Look sometimes people feel are more comfortable. They think they're more comfortable around their own right. They are more comfortable around their own. So that's kind of who you're looking for. When you're looking to promote, and if if you're newsrooms, don't have. A lot of journalists of color in there at the writing level. You know they're not rising editor. You know so when you go to like, promote someone and get someone more into the management ranks. You're picking sometimes when the pool. That's there you know who do I want to promote and if they're just if you're newsroom isn't diverse to begin with, and you're not really going to get anywhere, but to the management ranks, but I think part of the problem too is. You know some of the things that I. Try to do is talk to journalists about trying to go on that track of wanting to be a manager, and let's face it like a Lotta Times. It's GonNa be because you don't see people who look like you. In these roles, therefore you might not think is something that you can aspire to or something that's going to happen for you, and it's very important someone in my position. That's why I feel such a responsibility. Responsibility to try to. It would be nice if when people were hiring in newsrooms that they gave honest effort. You know that they wanted to make sure that staff with the community that you're newsroom was diverse, but a lot of times. It doesn't happen. You know you're going to pick from the people who apply for that job and you're not. You know you're going to say okay. Well. Sometimes I think there's the excuse that you know well. Maybe we didn't get. Get many candidates of color who applied for this job, but I think part of the responsibility is on the people hiring because you need to know who's out there and not just when it comes time to hire you know one of the things I. Did you know Kimberly Martin you know she wouldn't mind me telling the story, you know fabulous, NFL reporter now espn, but when she was at Newsday, she was someone I kind of recognized as an upcoming star. Star in this business so I wanted my bosses to take a look at her, and we didn't even have an opening at this time, but I told him so you know I just known her from twitter..

"Tyreek hill he is a dynamic game changing footfall. But his baggage. I mean, it's been out there in the open audio tape of a conversation between hill and his fiancee. Who is of course, the mother of the child and in it. She said he's terrified of you. And he'll said you need to be terrified of me to listen to the tape. It very damning you hear the real tyreek hill, I know poured into tape because he admits to having broken his son's arm. But also the ease by which he talks about using the belt. The ease by which he affirms that he hits his son in the chest when he's been bad the ease by which he says these things that just go like, I don't know how you cannot get it the jug God leaves show. That's insane. Weekdays at three pm eastern, noon Pacific on Fox Sports radio ninety off ladies and gentlemen hits. Keep on coming. Ravages coming right for you. This is the funniest and most insane thing that I read last night from yahu senior porter Kimberly Martin, she tweets out cattleman sees Daniel Jones as a potential franchise quarterback. But also mentioned he could sit for three years. I think we're in an era where first round quarterback doesn't sit. And there have been many years before where somebody could sit you could be comfortable with the idea. For instance, we mentioned Aaron Rodgers that he could sit behind Brett farve. And there wasn't a rush that's not really a viable option anymore. And in fact, the media is so aggressive that even sitting out Baker Mayfield for a few games. Now, you Jackson obviously that ended up looking like a ridiculous decision. But even sitting him out for a few games is almost indefensible out kick coverage with clay Travis. You wanna talk about a way to start your morning. Six AM eastern three eight I'm Pacific on Fox Sports radio. There. So many things that go on that could get a little.

"The kind of corroborating evidence they needed to nail ngelo in Solano also found out that the hillside dumpsites for the victims of selected because Angela was familiar with that area since one of his girlfriends had lived around them. And the investigators also learned about their attempt to pick up Peter lorries door. So Kenny went on and on describing each murder in detail. Like, it was a cocktail conversation. There was absolutely no remorse. No concern about the victims as human beings. Nothing. He answered the mystery of the long tortuous death of Christina Wecker by saying they aesthetics heeded her with gas, the murder was so horrible that even Kenny didn't wanna talk. About it. He said she was brought out to the kitchen and put on the floor and her head was covered with the bag and the pipe from the newly-installed stove which was fully installed yet, which wasn't fully installed. Yet. Was disconnected put into the bang and turned on there may have been marks on her neck because there was a cord around her neck with a bag and tied to make more complete sealing. It took about an hour and a half of suffering before she died, eventually the reality situation, dawn on him and Kenny look to place the blame on on somebody else. So his lawyer is on with this evidence against them. He convinced Kenny that he had no choice, but to admit guilt and accept the punishment. So he was ordered to serve two life sentences in the state of Washington. And then he was immediately transferred to California where he was sentenced to additional life terms. He was looking at thirty five years in California prisons and additional time in Washington. Angelo, bona was arrested October twenty second nineteen seventy nine right after. Kenney described his involvement in the crimes along with them. Bob Grogan had the pleasure of arresting Angelo later, they found Angelo's wallet. Which clearly show the outline of a police badge. She used to get his victims to cooperate with him. But apparently the prosecutorial environment in California was going against bringing Angelo trial. The DA had dropped the five California murders against Bianchi. So that he no longer had the threat of the death penalty hanging over him. So there was less incentive for Kennedy cooperate. Also, Kenny was becoming a manageable the police in California hated this guy. And they made it clear. Kenny could not accept their disapproval. And he started to make up stories to get himself off the hook put it that way. And he dreamed up a second man who was responsible for the killings. Eventually he sought the Phil guilty for implicating. Angelo, he began to change his story about end loads involvement his credibility as a witness against Angela was virtually destroyed now very much in the. Back of Kenny self-serving performances was the prisoner code which is death to inform us if acting like a nutcase allow Angela to go free Kenny wouldn't be targeted as a snitch. Whereas if his testimony put his cousin in jail he'd ever really fucking hard time in prison. So the jury for Bono's trial came to agreement on October thirty first nineteen eighty three and he was found guilty at least on the murder of Lauren Wagner few days later. They also voted that Angelo was not guilty of the murder of Yulon, the Washington, but he was guilty of Judy. Miller's murder and under California law at that time as a multiple murderer Angelo face either the death penalty or life in prison without the possibility of parole, then guilty verdicts, followed on the Laura Cepeda Sonia. Johnson Kimberly Martin, Christina wetland. Lisa casted, Jane king. And finally, Cindy, HUD, spent Angelo, then took the stand. Briefly to shows contempt for the entire process. He said my morals and constitutional rights have been broken. The jury gave him life in prison and the judge was pissed off. He said Angelo Bono, and Kenneth Bianchi. Subjected their Berta victims to the administration of lethal gas electric strangulation by rope and lethal hypodermic injection yet. The two defendants are destined to spend their lives in prison housed fed and close at taxpayers expense better cared for some of the destitute law body members of our community. Angelo, bona was sent to initially Folsom prison where he stayed in his cell fearing serious asp, beatings and possibly death at the hands of other inmates and because of his crimes against women. He was denied conjugal visits..

"But it also stops. But I will just put out the problem with Josh Brown. And most of those names that you that you brought up the problem. Josh Brown is is that he was given in one game suspension and everybody said, but Roger you said he would get a six game suspension for this thing. So then they add it on six games Ezekiel Elliot his case played out over time. Almost all of those people were handled in different situations which goes back to what Kimberley was talking about. Which is the complexity in this. But the complexity is brought about by the way that the NFL is handling this and ignoring its own its own rules that it laid out. But I should also point out that this is very similar to the way the other leagues. Do it. People always embrace the NBA is being some sort of progressive sports organization. Yet. It doesn't have a hard and fast rule to ignore like, the NFL it. In fact, handles its domestic violence cases on a case by case situation. So Kimberly Martin jump back in here as we wrap up Kevin Blackstone talked about what to do here perhaps suspend players with pay suspend the Manatt allow players to be replaced on the roster. What would you add to that list? What's the answer here? Yeah. I think the fact that the Redskins were even in a position to to put in a client for Reuben foster is part of the problem. Once guys have been released from team you for something like this. You shouldn't be able to just say, okay. Well, he's gonna come cheap. What what I find?
