Our slow at my restaurant just closed again to take out. Only most of us only have about three weeks left of unemployment A lot of single moms. You can't live on two hundred ninety four dollars a week no matter how much you stayed. I've probably gone through my savings But so many people. I waited on. Who doing big family get togethers. Takeouts were incredible People were traveling. It was a joke. Most of these people. I am furious. My oldest son had saturday to get at kobe tests and he went to four different places. He could not find a rapid test and he went. Saturday got tested. He still hasn't gotten his results back in his boss was like well. You really not around too many people. Can you do xyz for me. And he's like no. No i can't so this world is it's absolutely crazy and i'm just so upset by this by everything. It's if it's not one thing it's another i can't tell you how many secret card games there are in these people are getting covert nobody cares. There's not a lot of people who care and are following the rule and it just drives me sign of my mind. I'm looking enough to beginning paycheck. You but i am one hundred percent with your analysis of our neighbors cash. Your question do you have. Have you had any conversations with people explaining why they're not worried about this. You know it's funny when you rely on. Somebody's tip now. It's almost like i couldn't say i am. I am voting for. Because they'll take they take it out on your tip. Gotcha as much. As i'd like to say what's wrong with you have to feed my. I have to feed my family my mouth up more than i should and i you know. Sometimes that gets me in trouble. Because the older i get i just don't care anymore but it's absolutely awful and that the things that go on and people don't care my daughter's six weeks pregnant we i mean i'm sorry. She has six weeks left to go. And i am a rack because you know it's just to keep everybody safe. It's just so hard. I didn't see them for thanksgiving. We just had a very small thanksgiving with people that we live with and My daughter and son-in-law came over and they were in the pouring rain on the porch to say hello to my dad for thanksgiving. You know so. Many people don't care about six months ago. I kinda thought. Oh i don't know anybody who has this. Maybe it's not true. You know. I'd kind of wishy washy but it's a true thing. I think i know a lot of people with very sad. You captured every important angles. Sandy wish you and your kids luck. Thank you very much for sharing your story. that's horrible. it is horrible. it's it is horrible and we're all very hopeful about these vaccines but that's going to be the next big fight are you gonna can't mandate masks. Are we going to mandate vaccines. Are we going to say. You can't go to school unless you have a vaccine kim soo baker because he had the courage to say you gotta have regular seasonal flu. Shot before you go back to school. I think by the end of the year. And why because if you prevent an outbreak of the seasonal flu then you're going to have less of a capacity problem for kobe. Nine peop- nine court and he's getting sued by the supreme court. Oh can't you know you can't tell people they can't have asif at religious services so let's go win before with the wasn't it. Was it five to forty four. Yeah let's go in and sing the hymns and breathe on everybody. And just you know great a superspreader event. Jonathan the thank you for calling john. Thanks for taking my call martin. Jeff started Break your echo chamber that you live in first off. I do wear a mask. Second off you go unchecked in your facts in the sense that you're saying that there's zero help from the government for small businesses. I'm going to tell you that's not the truth. I received a great deal of money from the pcp program and as well. I know of a number of small businesses. That did you can address that on john before going ahead cares act and a supplemental appropriation for the. Ppp is there has been nothing since then which happens to be factually accurate next. You need to go and look. At statistical analysis. Ron paul tweeted out a statistical analysis using ratios to basically say that there was extreme fraud during the voting process it resulted in forty two electoral votes. Being taken by joe biden. Which we're not not the case. It happened in wisconsin michigan and in georgia. I would suggest you read that article and then educate yourself as to why it's a deal that's fair and by the way john would know it's fair. I think will read the article. And you read the article about dr rand. Paul getting tests for covid and he's what were waiting for. Results goes to the congressional gym and colleagues. Are you kidding. John dhanjal magazine. That what rand paul claims and what the president and his allies have claimed. They make these claims and statements. And then what happens is they go to court where you have to have some evidence and there is none. And that's why suit after suit after suit has been thrown out by judges many of whom are republicans and some of them who've been appointed by donald trump doesn't really matter what ron paul says about that. You get when you get into court and prove it. None of it has has stood up john except for a few hundred votes different. Maybe it was a couple of thousand and georgia when they do the recount. Unruly some john. Why hasn't any court sided with the rand paul's arguments on here. You're sure go ahead john. Well you're in. The background is about that john. Is that you rebuttals to me. Yes sat jobless it. Is john very shallow. You call yourself a lawyer first off. You need to go read the article and really drilled down to john. How many how. Many courts have upheld. That argument wanted to list them for us john. Who knows if he know what who knows. Fat articles been brought to court said those arguments. How many courts last thing that argument now many courts by judges john have said there's zero there is evidence. Go read the article. Educate yourself john. Thanks for the call. We appreciate it. Eight seven seven three zero one. Eighty nine seventy. Well said you go. I have to read the article. Obviously well again it's important. It's important to point out that this is the strategy and john unfortunately is falling for it that people repeat things and say things. He doesn't play just they throw out lies and but one good thing about this whole thing is i think a lot of us were afraid. That a lot of republicans would knuckle under the president and a lot of republicans did support the president on a local level and the state level and the federal level had been profiles encourage unlike their elected officials. They've stood up and they've said judges said there is no evidence local republican officials. And so there's no evidence as christopher krebs guy who did what. We were so afraid of russian interference. The second time around really did a yeoman's patriotic job in rescuing us from from the russian interference and assured that this election was remarkably safe which is no mean feat. Skeptical about mail in voting. He was right. I was wrong. it worked out. Well.

This is worrisome because you don't get this kind of stuff and have gone to. No, you don't. Well. You know, we eat more and more though, you're beginning to hear about kidnapping in Africa, especially with wealthy people going on safari there targets because you know, they're not there aren't armed guards around them. So people are becoming Americans are becoming targets of kidnapping cancel by. You say. I would just, you know, saying happening with more freely where where are you headed hundred either Uganda? No, but what country any country, but you guys out that fracas out that. Oh, well, it's well, they do it there too. It's worse than that. Yeah. You get a higher. Sports. Big ransom for that guy. Well, they paid. Apparently. I guess what? We're both kidnap. They demanded five hundred thousand something. Yeah. Paid something. Which is kind of I don't know. The US government does quietly pay ransom from time to time. You think the government paid though the park pay park paid you? Yeah. I heard that was the Torah depart that, you know, the tour group paid it. That's you know, what you make most sense then. So does it coming out of the pockets of the other people who are on the group? Well, I wouldn't like that. Eventually it would. But I mean, what does this tour group? Good do. They'll have no business if this happened, and they didn't get this personnel. Oh boy. Well, I hope you're tour group has generous. Well. With that fun. And I hope they feed all the lie. "NewsRadio eight forty W H. Remember last week? We were talking about the California woman who was kidnapped with her guy while on safari in Uganda. Well, she's been found, and it looks like she is okay. As is her guide. We'll find the latest details for Michael Bowery NBC News Radio. Good morning. Good morning. So it appears as though she was returned safely, and that might have everything to do with the fact that according to what we're hearing your while. We don't know who the kidnappers are. And we don't know what the overall total amount was paid. There was a five hundred thousand dollar ransom out there that these kidnappers were demanding in regards to return for this individual Kim, Soo Endicott from southern California or tour guide was also taken who was a native of the Democratic Republic of Congo, and they were both negotiated in this handover that happened yesterday after they had been held for five days by armed captors in Queen Elizabeth national park in Uganda. So what we do know was this kidnapping group used her cellphone, Kim Soo cut cellphone to reach out to officials in regards to Uganda's to try to negotiate some sort of deal. They're looking for five hundred thousand dollars the government there refused to negotiate with them. The US government refusing to go she ate with him. But the guy who ran the safari group that this. These two people were on called wild frontiers. Paid something we just don't know what the dollar mallet again, they were looking for five hundred thousand we know they paid some amount. I imagine it had to be in that range in order to get both of these people return, but they were dropped off yesterday at a camp, and nobody was followed. Nobody is at least as far as we can tell from this kidnapping group, whoever they were were tracked traced apprehended or anything, it seems like they just got their money, and then drop these people off and went about their Mary way. Well, this always doesn't turn out very well. From the standpoint of remember, the the pirates when the ships would relinquish off what the northeast coast of Africa angrily relinquish their the ships. So to speak to these pilots. So there's got to be concerned. You would think amongst the those people who maybe you travel and not just a far, but then there's photography safari as they call it. You know, go round to take these pictures out of the wild one of those companies saying now. At least the Ugandan authorities within Uganda are saying that this is a one off. It doesn't happen. Very often. At all. In fact, wild is was going on for the five day time frame that these people were abducted they were still continuing with these safaris throughout the park. They say that this last time any kind of a similar incident happened back in nineteen ninety nine some twenty years ago it involved rebels from the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. And they said that they have about one point four million tourists a year. And again this hasn't happened in twenty years. This is definitely a one office referring to it as they say that they are on a general level, very safe in this kind of thing doesn't happen. We are hearing from the family of Kim Soo who was very upset that the US government wasn't getting involved in the FBI kind of got in on the last day. Plus, maybe two days worth of the search here investigation here in a her cousin rich Endicott blasted the government for its reluctance to pay the ransom saying I heard our secretary of state, Mike Pompeo say that there would be no. No, no ransom being paid. He said, that's fine. Then good. The navy seal getting on a plane goes save or don't pay the ransom on good with that. But they refuse to do any of those things. He refused to talk about any of those things. So the big concern here for Mike Pompeo going forward. Secretary of state is it listen this work, you paid the money of whatever the amount was and they the people will return. But now is that going to open the door for more kidnappers going forward understanding that they could get the money paid in order to end things.

Mike, what's the story here? Well, we know that Tim sue edit cod of southern California and our tour guide. John marines remains who is native of the Democratic Republic of Congo were freed after negotiated handover their kidnappers while they were on a safari nighttime safari Ugandan wilderness park, they were held for five days, these captors found them and to other people the other two people go into SU Kim Soo Endicott and the tour guide and held them hostage than immediately were asking for five hundred thousand dollars as a ransom where unclear right now, we know the safari company that ran the safari that they were on paid. But we don't know how much actual dollar amount was a company was called wild frontiers. They paid the ransom unclear how much they paid. But we're able to get these people out after five days unknown gunman put those tourists in gun Gump. Point took them with them held them in a camp, someplace offsite. But within the park, and then you saw the military get involved. You saw the the family of this woman from southern California contact the FBI to get them involved. But as you s customs have been here for a while here. They don't go she ate with terrorist whatsoever. The use of the family for this group sort of get really angry with the US government for not getting involved signature not going to pay the fine. And let's get a navy seals out there. Let's get a plane to go. Savor the US not doing any of that. But it seems the tour company was the one who paid some dollar amount. And now you're seeing from the US specifically secretary state, Mike Pompeo have concerns that this could just lead to more kidnappings. Yes. That is a concern. Is this the something that has been going on this kind of like a I here for this all the one off like a one off your Joan this particular case, they're saying that that this is a very safe area. In fact, while this was going on they were still doing more safaris and more tours. They have not had anything like this happen. "Midas touch everybody. That knows him gets a promotion gets gets head coaching job gets a fresh opportunity in the NFL these days. Thirty two years old drew Brees is forty years old. So we got a coach versus a quarterback today and the quarterback is the old timer and the coach for the Rams is the new kid on the block McVay worshipped at the altar of Jon Gruden. We're going to talk to you a quarterback who played in the Jon Gruden system in about twenty minutes time here on the pony express. CBS sports radio. Last year. Sean McVeigh was heralded as the best coach in the NFL short of baby Doug Peterson because he took a four inch wealth team got them to the playoffs won the NFC west transformed Jared Goff who looked like he was going to be a draft bust dot under. Jeff Fisher looked like a totally different quarterback under McVeigh's tutelage this year, they came into the season with heightened expectations because of the moves the Rams made in the offseason. They got Dhamma Kim Soo out at a discount number after all the money. He made in Miami. They bring in Marcus Peters. So now you've got a legit number one corner. You made a gutsy trade with Kansas City to get him. You brought back girly another year under goff's bell. You got the contract on with Aaron Donald when the season started. The Rams were right there. Among teams who were the pick to win the NFC. In fact, I believe they were Vegas liked to Rams patriots SuperBowl when the season started. They weren't sure yet about Mahomes. They liked the saints. But they didn't like him enough to make him the top team in the NFC. I think for McVeigh this is a very important game in this way. If he if he loses there's no shame in going to the Superdome in losing. But it starts the clock on when will he actually win something? It starts the clock on. Hey, we fell in love with you were the flavor of the month. But now it's time to start winning championships. So if if the saints beat the Rams, it starts the timer on McVeigh producing championships. He's going to get a contract extension. Jason lockenfora from CBS sports is reporting that this morning. So okay. You did it as a young coach the first two years. Now, let's see results like going to Super Bowls and winning them. If McVay beats Payton. Then everything we've seen happen. If the Rams beat the saints, everything that's gone on here. In the in the coaching carousel in the last three weeks is validated. Zac, taylor. The quarterback coach in LA getting the Bengals head coaching job. Guys who are not even Nick acolytes. But kinda look like him cliff Kingsbury. Getting a head coaching opportunity. It makes sense if McVay wins this game the line says three and a half. I think that the saints record in the Superdome shows that they're not to be taken lightly in a situation. Like, this you always install them as the favourite. What we're gonna find out in this game is how much of a quarterback whisperer in an offensive guru is is Sean McVeigh because if he can Jared Goff to go into New Orleans against that defense, which leads the league and take away since we can. If he can get big if he can get Goff in the drew Brees is house. If golf can beat breeze at his own game. Then McVeigh let's canonize him tomorrow. Let's get the statue erected outside of the new ram stadium. Let's add that to the architectural designs. Get fat in there. Jared Goff stinks. Outside of Los Angeles, ten touchdowns and nine interceptions. His passer rating is eighty two point seven which would have been fine in nineteen ninety two. But the problem is it's twenty nineteen. He stinks. Outside of LA. The saints. Stop the run. That's run defense in the NFL. The most rushing yards by in opposing running back. This year Zeke Elliott seventy five. Didn't give up one hundred yard rusher. I feel like the CJ Anderson story. Ends in New Orleans. Reagan's out. That's one player. He's a significant player. If it were on the road, I might feel differently. But it's still the Superdome where the defense has the edge with the loud stadium. Seventy five yards is the most they've given up all year that came on the road. So you've got a really find it's hard to find a running back that had a strong game in New Orleans this year. No one really did. You take the runaway or you limit and control the run can Jared Goff deliver. Everything about golf to this point in his career. Look look at the bears game earlier this season. Look at what he did in this game you through for tiny yards, but they were all cosmetic. Everything about Goff to this point tells me he can't win a game. Like this. If McVeigh can coach him into a win. Then his mailman should get a head coaching gig in all the jokes that have been made about how McVeigh has this incredible ability to get the most out of offensive players. It'll all be true. If Gough goes into New Orleans it has a better game than drew Brees. Eight five five two one two four CBS this eight five five two one two four two two seven. "I think he's been doing it at a really high level for a lot longer than I have. I've got a whole lot of respect for coach Peyton. He's an outstanding coach clearly referenced by the way that his team's plan this year how they played over the course of his career when he's been leading the saints. So I don't think we're in that category. Yet, we've got we've got to do things for for a lot longer to be able to be mentioned in that same breath. I know back to the pony express with Andrew Phillip pony. And that is the wonder kin, Sean McVeigh. Has the Midas touch everybody. That knows him gets a promotion gets gets head coaching job gets a fresh opportunity in the NFL these days. Thirty two years old drew Brees is forty years old. So we got a coach versus a quarterback today and the quarterback is the old timer and the coach for the Rams is the new kid on the block the they worshiped at the altar of Jon Gruden. We're going to talk to you a quarterback who played in the Jon Gruden system in about twenty minutes time here on the pony express. CBS sports radio. Last year. Sean McVeigh was heralded as the best coach in the NFL short of maybe Doug Peterson because he took a foreign twelve team got them to the playoffs won the NFC west transformed Jared Goff who looked like he was going to be a draft bust dot under. Jeff Fisher looked like a totally different quarterback under McVeigh's tutelage this year, they came into the season with heightened expectations because of the moves the Rams made in the offseason. They got endowment Kim Soo out at a discount number after all the money. But they didn't like him enough to make them the top team in the NFC. I think for McVeigh this is a very important game in this way. If he if he loses there's no shame in going to the Superdome in losing. But it starts the clock on when will he actually win something? It starts the clock on. Hey, we fell in love with you. You were the flavor of the month. Guys who are not even Nick acolytes, but kind of looked like him cliff Kingsbury. Getting add coaching opportunity. It makes sense if McVay wins this game the line says three and a half. I think that the saints record in the Superdome shows that they're not to be taken lightly in a situation. Like, this you always install them as the favourite. What we're gonna find out in this game is how much of a quarterback whisperer in an offensive guru is is Sean McVeigh because if he can get Jared Goff to go into New Orleans against that defense, which leads the league and take away since week ten. If he can get mic if he can get golf in the drew Brees house if often beat breeze at his own game. Then McVeigh let's canonize him tomorrow. Let's get the statue erected outside of the new ram stadium. Let's add that to the architectural designs. Get that in there. Jared Goff stinks. Outside of Los Angeles ES ten touchdowns and nine interceptions. His passer rating is eighty two point seven which would have been fine in nineteen ninety two. "On those things happen and people make mistakes. But you can't sit there and get all upset because it is. And I tell I tell James Jones's. I told him his yesterday. I'll go you act as if the Packers were rolling at that point like they had put back to back dry, no member. Aaron Donald just sacked them. In a matter of two seconds. Do that game of that? If time Montgomery had a fumbled the Packers obviously would have won the game your guests, though. What would they have done? I'm with you. I think I don't know. I don't I don't know what would have happened because at that point the Rams had disfigured. I mean, I'm going to I'm always on the ramp sites. I'm gonna say Aaron Donald of the price act them twice in that Dr put them out, and they would have you know, they wouldn't have any house they'd been in trouble. But the Rams had went to a different personnel package to go against what they had more safeties on the field and they had Lyman and corners, and they played a bigger more athletic package who could play physical with some of these guys. I don't I don't know. What would have happened? Right. I don't because Aaron Rodgers has had multiple comebacks and all those great things. But let's remember Aaron Donald adjusts sacked him. I mean, it was he caught the ball looked at Aaron Donald was in his face, by the way, Khalil Mack. We can throw parades in. Everything back in early September. Aaron Donald remains the best defensive. I mean, then I love colonic. I played I played with them blocked them. When against some great dude by I've never seen a player dominate game. I mean for real let's stop and appreciate I know he's an interior defensive linemen on rolling. But in my days, and I've watched many guys play. And I'm not the best. I won't pretend that I won't be so fraudulent to pretend that I really understand what the knows does in the three four and how dominant that can be. I see the results of it. But the the individual dominance of of a guy on the interior that said Aaron Donald jumps out at you. Even the most casual I can pick it up. He's up there with mean. Joe greene. Oh, yeah. Reggie White and the most dominant guys I've ever seen Kim Soo literally has been one of the most dominant interior linemen in the league. And it's right. Like this is no disrespect in can because he's doing a phenomenal job. And he's getting sacks. And he's moving all around. It's not even close like Aaron Donald changes games from that position. And his best is not even a sack this year. He stripped the ball from a running back while he was tackling them in fellow on. Top of them all in one motion. I think it's nitpicking where do you come down on Marcus Peters is maybe Biton on the cheese a little bit too much. That's who he is. That's I mean, that's what you how do you get forty five turnovers in three years if you'd or not aggressive corner. That's who he is. That's what he was. By the way, we say it a million times..

"Washington post and jim and jim is reporting right that they're also looking at ways to conceal not just to build up but to conceal at not just the weapons they have but also the production facilities but you remember when trump said i trust i trust him to kim the president was very clear and so was secretary of state bump aol week ago saying look you know kim has made this decision to just give up his arsenal and if that's indeed the case then policy decisions that the administration has made in the last two weeks sort of make sense but if you know kim hasn't made that decision and it's clear that he hasn't given all of this then our policies are deeply misguided and endurance to american national security so dave there's also the question of what do we know and what do we not know right the national security adviser john bolton who's been acute talk on north korea obviously now trying to temper his words a bit given his bosses point of view said yesterday that north korea could disarm within a year if they chose to do so here's how he put it we have developed a program i'm sure that secretary state mike pompeo will be discussing this with the north koreans in the near future about really had a dismantle all of their wmd and ballistic missile programs in a year dave the secretary of state mike pompeo said two and a half years but you know what's your sense i mean how big is this program that we're talking about right now the programs fairly large and there are a lot of sites that we don't know about and there are many sites that are deep underground in underground facilities that are hardened to protect them from strikes so i i think a year is a bit optimistic probably looking at over two years it's a fairly large program in the north koreans aren't probably willing to give up everything in a accelerated time periods so it's going to involve a lot of trust building on both sides and if we were to reach some sort of agreement which i don't think we have a really did it would probably be more than a year and you know what sounds like what you're also saying is when the whole premise of an agreement would be somehow on some level trusting them that when they tell us this is a list of what they have it's actually true sounds like what you're saying is they could give us a list and we would not know if it were true and there are a lot of ways that they could hide or conceal that's absolutely right but like any negotiation of this nature there's a little bit of trust that's going to be involved in it and there's definitely going to be a lot of vetting by the intelligence communities to make sure that we've missed anything significance what jim was saying that the intelligence community leaked this but they have come to the opposite conclusion as the president clearly you know they do not trust what the president has been saying what they think the president is going to be doing and you know in right now trump is got i think an obligation to talk to the american people because he hasn't been bashful about talking about the benefits of the summit so he needs to say to the american people look we've got this information this is what we're going to have to do and i think the administration is going to have to go back to their maximum pressure campaign which it sanctions and everything else and by the way now we're hearing maybe another summit here in new york around the un this is completely stunning it is really wrong to talk about a second meeting between trump and kim and especially one of the world's stage where you have the un general assembly that gives even more legitimization to kim soo certainly bolsters his regime even more than the june twelfth summit and he has yet to make a commitment to give up his weapons this is really really wrong and clearly you know the big problem in the june twelfth summit was that look they were going to have that meeting gift kim all the benefits of trump came away with very little and we're going to do the same thing in september i mean i just don't understand it and now of course we have images and the and the us intelligence community assessment itself showing what the president said at least at this moment is.
